- 0:44lot of TLC tender loving hell yeah care
- 0:47you know that's what I provide here you
- 0:50know that's
- 0:51my TLC means something different in in
- 0:53the The Learning Channel is what it also
- 0:56no I'm going to say in the context of
- 0:57this podcast it means tiny tiny [ __ ]
- 1:00tiny little all our listeners have TLC
- 1:03right oh I see tiny little I haven't
- 1:06heard that for a while actually I've got
- 1:08to say I thought we'd forgotten about it
- 1:11no it's still it's still going a lot of
- 1:13people out there greeting each other
- 1:14with the little penis I have a tiny
- 1:16penis and stuff all the time I I have
- 1:18had it said to me in public by people
- 1:21they lean in not recently they lean in
- 1:24there is a little bit of a lean in
- 1:25nobody really just sort of um declares
- 1:28it you know yeah dramatically yeah well
- 1:31they like hold their hand up and they
- 1:32speak it behind their
- 1:35way by the way I mean I told you the guy
- 1:39at uh when we were flying out of Gatwick
- 1:41one of the guys doing the bag check yeah
- 1:43said it very loudly proudly yeah I have
- 1:46a tiny penis while he's doing the backck
- 1:49I was going through uh security at uh at
- 1:51the airport in Las Vegas and uh I had
- 1:54the same thing I said hey I got a tiny
- 1:56penis by the way what it's like a
- 1:59security guard at at the airport yeah it
- 2:01was good it it always makes me laugh
- 2:03especially when people say it to me and
- 2:06we're with people who uh have no idea
- 2:09about the stupid podcast that we do and
- 2:11they're like sorry you're going to have
- 2:13to explain to me why that young man just
- 2:15came up and told you about his penis
- 2:17nice yep it's something it's something
- 2:19all right we started something we
- 2:21started a movement yeah you think like
- 2:25it's I don't know let's move on let's
- 2:27move on well no you had a question what
- 2:28was your question I haven't got question
- 2:32I haven't got question I don't care
- 2:33carry on he doesn't care he's he's he's
- 2:36Beyond I'm happy with it I what we we we
- 2:38have to just take take what we got have
- 2:40you bought a house yet Louis no man I
- 2:44haven't even had any viewings I think
- 2:46that whole like lost all the whole
- 2:49situation with the viewing like just
- 2:51just blew blew it right out you know
- 2:53it's just all it takes is for one thing
- 2:55to like Scupper the whole process you
- 2:58know given up live in carry on living in
- 3:01my basement flat forever Scupper is a
- 3:03good is a good word your Flat's nice
- 3:06though your current one is nice like I
- 3:07wouldn't be too quick to move away from
- 3:09a from a place such as such as that a
- 3:13nice a nice a nice place it's not it's
- 3:15not Dungey well I didn't find it was
- 3:17over really Dungey you haven't been
- 3:20there recently no it's got quite dank in
- 3:22there you R you redecorated I put some
- 3:25like spikes up yeah nice yeah nice nice
- 3:28they're very on Trend at the moment so
- 3:30got some wet
- 3:32walls where the boiler was uh leaking
- 3:35yeah oh this um I had some little fungus
- 3:39gnats in my plants green fly in my
- 3:42plants what's a fungus it's like a
- 3:44little shitty little Gat that that lives
- 3:47in the soil of your house plants and it
- 3:50can it like eats the roots and then they
- 3:53they just they they're just they're [ __ ]
- 3:55they're really [ __ ] flies they're very
- 3:57easy to squash you see what I mean
- 3:58they're like kind of they're Dopey
- 4:00they're like mini
- 4:01mosquitoes there's a there's an animal
- 4:04for everything isn't there a [ __ ]
- 4:07gnat that eats the roots of the house
- 4:09plant what the [ __ ] nature can you chill
- 4:12there can be gaps all right you don't
- 4:15have to have an animal for everything I
- 4:17honestly it feels like you know I took
- 4:19some bananas over from the office and
- 4:20they had those little fruit flies on
- 4:21them I had like fruit flies black flies
- 4:24fungus Nets and green flies and I've
- 4:25only got like three house plants how the
- 4:27[ __ ] is it they so infested I mean no
- 4:30wonder they used to think that insects
- 4:32just sprang from the earth cuz if you
- 4:35were in ancient Greece what is it
- 4:37pathogenesis or something they call it
- 4:38they honestly just thought that insects
- 4:40and small life just came out of the
- 4:42earth cuz that's how it feels looks like
- 4:45you get a house and now there's [ __ ]
- 4:46nuts they live in weird [ __ ] places
- 4:49man like let me tell you recently I was
- 4:51driving my car and all of a sudden a
- 4:53wasp crawled out of like in between the
- 4:56door and the wind you know like where
- 4:58the window slides down in like the the
- 5:00window holder in the door he crawled out
- 5:03of the inside of that so there's a wasp
- 5:06living in my my car door he just crawled
- 5:10in he yeah he's huge as well he just
- 5:12crawled out and then I was like oh [ __ ]
- 5:14I'm going to try to let him out so I I
- 5:16rolled down the window and he just like
- 5:17crawled down the window into the door
- 5:19again I haven't seen him since so I
- 5:22guess I guess here's my question I've
- 5:25never seen I've never seen a fruit fly
- 5:27out and about I've only ever seen them
- 5:29when I have a banana and I've eaten the
- 5:31banana and I put the peel down and
- 5:33suddenly there's fruit flies uh where
- 5:35are they coming from are they flying
- 5:36around out there sniff in the air for
- 5:38bananas and and a bit of apple peel at
- 5:40all times cuz I've never seen one out
- 5:42and about I had a banana peel in my
- 5:44garbage can in my garage one time that I
- 5:47forgot about and it was in there for
- 5:48quite some time and I had a mini
- 5:50infestation of I I've had this the other
- 5:53day sorry not the other day this was
- 5:55last year towards the end of the year it
- 5:56was still quite warm and I have a bin in
- 5:58my office and I had I had a couple of
- 6:00bananas and I put the bananas peels in
- 6:02the bin stupidly and didn't I don't
- 6:05change it all the time because you know
- 6:07I I I don't put much rubbish in the bin
- 6:09in my office so this Banana's obviously
- 6:11got to the point where the Flies are
- 6:12like well this is this is the this is
- 6:14the best pretty rotten banana peel we've
- 6:17ever been near I open the bin and like
- 6:1850 of the [ __ ] fly out and now
- 6:20they're in my office they're not anymore
- 6:22cuz I've got rid of the fruit but the
- 6:24point is how do they get there someone
- 6:26tell me what are they doing out there
- 6:27well they're small they probably crawled
- 6:28under the door or like you know they
- 6:30came I have the window I have the window
- 6:32open like they're coming in through the
- 6:33window I'm just saying are they just are
- 6:36they just flying about cuz they leave my
- 6:38office they're seeking out rotten banana
- 6:40P I don't I don't think they are like I
- 6:43could be completely wrong I reckon
- 6:45they're not like endemic to this country
- 6:47at all they're probably from wherever
- 6:49they actually grow in in the in the
- 6:51equator and you know in wherever
- 6:53wherever banan all the time because I
- 6:55think at at a slightly reduced
- 6:58temperature I think they all die right
- 7:01like I think a little bit of cold kills
- 7:04them all off real quick I they could
- 7:06only breed at a very specific like room
- 7:08temperature and so I think what happens
- 7:10is they come in on they just comeing in
- 7:12all the time on bananas right so there's
- 7:14always eggs on them all the time and so
- 7:17it's just inevitable that the the
- 7:19bananas they get taken to a warehouse or
- 7:21whatever which is probably full of them
- 7:23as well you know and then that gets
- 7:24taken to so you get free you get free
- 7:27eggs with every banana that you I think
- 7:29so I think so pretty good considering
- 7:31the cost of eggs these days could be
- 7:34free eggs maybe they do for I don't
- 7:36think they're just flying around though
- 7:37in in the in England like no especially
- 7:41like winter it's like 3 degrees out
- 7:43there they probably do exist like out in
- 7:45like the Woodland and stuff though
- 7:47they're probably out there realistically
- 7:49they must be just I just don't think
- 7:51they can it's too cold like the cold
- 7:52snap probably kills them all off you
- 7:54know every year that's why they're just
- 7:55not here well there's lots of
- 7:57insects that that are are sort of killed
- 8:00off during cold weather and they always
- 8:02seem to come back so there's got there's
- 8:03got to be some way that they preserve
- 8:06themselves but a lot like the lifespan
- 8:08of an insect is is very short generally
- 8:11isn't it what do you think the lifespan
- 8:12of the fruit fly from egg to death is
- 8:15how long do you think that is like a
- 8:17couple of days maybe leou don't knowa 50
- 8:21days yeah it's not most insects are like
- 8:24that like you like bees no no no 50 days
- 8:27is longer than I expected yeah it's not
- 8:30long quite a long time but that
- 8:32does low amount of time if you kept one
- 8:35as a pet for example food FL but I mean
- 8:38the thing is that does leave like Louis
- 8:40said the eggs are probably already on
- 8:42the fruit because the banana comes over
- 8:44here it's going that that egg can exist
- 8:47on that banana and then a few days later
- 8:49hatches you acquire a baby fruit fly as
- 8:51a pet and you know the countdown started
- 8:53you have 50 days left what are you doing
- 8:55with that fly you're doing like the
- 8:57Titanic thing with him you're taking him
- 9:00taking him to Thailand like you got you
- 9:03got to get everything in there 50 days
- 9:05is not very long yeah a tiny tiny tiny
- 9:09quicker than that I've have no idea how
- 9:12long this fascinating stuff really but
- 9:14like I guess they I I knew they used
- 9:16fruit flies as cuz that the fruit fly
- 9:19was the thing that had its DNA
- 9:20synthesized first right it was very
- 9:22simple organism right and it was the
- 9:24first thing to have it DNA completely
- 9:25mapped and I think they've used it in
- 9:28Labs because of it
- 9:30rapid generational growth so you can see
- 9:32you know what what would you know
- 9:34imagine there's something that would
- 9:35affect um something in multiple
- 9:36Generations down line they can see quite
- 9:38quickly with fruit flies how that takes
- 9:41effect right but I guess we 50 days is
- 9:45still a long time to like you know get
- 9:47the next results in but I guess that
- 9:48means you can go through 10 Generations
- 9:50in a year which is well eight
- 9:51Generations a year which is quite a lot
- 9:53quite a lot yeah um yeah fascinating
- 9:55stuff the Wikipedia article on fruit
- 9:57flies is extremely long because although
- 9:59they are very little tiny fly that seems
- 10:02unimportant there's an awful lot that
- 10:04we've done like Louis said in terms of
- 10:06like genetics and stuff they've been
- 10:07absolutely uh you know vital really in
- 10:09in the work of that we share 50% of our
- 10:12DNA with those fruit flies how crazy is
- 10:14that it says literally one of the
- 10:16Articles here is similarity to humans oh
- 10:18sorry it's 60% between us and fruit
- 10:21flies and 75% of nohum disease genes
- 10:24have a recognizable match in the Genome
- 10:26of fruit flies so they are extremely
- 10:28important
- 10:29little little things and they're not
- 10:31they're not pests they don't cause fruit
- 10:33to rot they just are attracted they are
- 10:36a bit of a pest though when there's
- 10:37loads of them I mean it's your own fault
- 10:40if you're leaving rotten fruit around
- 10:42exactly and they're there you have no
- 10:44one to blame but yourself but still when
- 10:46you arrive at that situation you do kind
- 10:48of think these things are a bit of a
- 10:49pest there's a lot of them they're just
- 10:51little Buzzy things but they don't make
- 10:52a sound they don't get in your face they
- 10:55don't really want anything to do with
- 10:56you they just want to sit on a banana
- 10:57peel it's not that bad uh could be of
- 11:00all the things like it's weird that they
- 11:02pick that though like there's so many
- 11:04good like they could find a chicken
- 11:05burger or something somewhere I'm sure
- 11:07or like you know maybe um some like U
- 11:10spilled Coke on the ground like
- 11:11something something that maybe tastes
- 11:14better than a rotten banana I don't know
- 11:16like it's oh my God so I remember so
- 11:18they're also known as the vinegar fly
- 11:20right we used to go to this Pub in
- 11:21Bristol um and have like regularly have
- 11:24lunch there and it had these bottles of
- 11:27vinegar um on the tables right open and
- 11:30one day I was like holding one up and I
- 11:32like noticed there was like a sediment
- 11:33in the bottom of it oh no and I realized
- 11:36it was hundreds of dead fruit flies oh
- 11:38that is gross yeah it was like you could
- 11:41you could see like all their little
- 11:42wings and the little bodies and like it
- 11:44was just like what the [ __ ] and it
- 11:47obviously CU it was open fruit flies
- 11:48would fly in there yeah get get died
- 11:50drown go to the bottom fly just over and
- 11:53over again I think it's like slugs like
- 11:55beer if you put if you put like a little
- 11:57container of beer in your back backyard
- 12:00it'll just be filled with dead slugs
- 12:02yeah they [ __ ] love it it's like a
- 12:04watering hole that they just die in
- 12:05they're like rugby fans yeah it's
- 12:09crazy do you know what uh we get we get
- 12:11slugs that come in the house and they
- 12:13love the dog bowl so when we go to feed
- 12:16the dog in the morning there are always
- 12:18a couple of little slugs on there and
- 12:20I'm trying to figure out where the [ __ ]
- 12:22are they coming from and I've looked all
- 12:24around where the Dog bow is there's
- 12:25obviously some absolutely tiny crack ins
- 12:29bit of the skirting board and or they're
- 12:31just coming in it's impossible to stop
- 12:33but we got this it's a tape it's a very
- 12:35fine tape like cell tape but it's I
- 12:37think it's copper and they don't like to
- 12:39crawl across it um so if you put the
- 12:41tape down it stops them coming in
- 12:43because I mean the only reason I was
- 12:45thinking what what could it be they
- 12:47don't like the feel of it or whatever is
- 12:48it like tin foil to cats is to aser two
- 12:52slugs chewing chewing on aluminium fo
- 12:55something like that to them they're like
- 12:56h i mean my first thought was is like
- 12:59something to do with conductivity where
- 13:01because they're wet they crawl across
- 13:03the copper and it causes like almost a
- 13:05staticky thing for them I don't know but
- 13:07they it does work though you see Gardens
- 13:10with them all the time you know like
- 13:12they'll be like a like a little like
- 13:14film of copper surrounding a planter and
- 13:18and it works like they just won't go
- 13:19over it I hate it it's weird God do have
- 13:22to come up with such convoluted
- 13:25solutions to deal with well there's lot
- 13:27of stuff to keep track of there's lots
- 13:29of like like plant diseases and and
- 13:32pests and stuff like carrots are
- 13:34notoriously quite um prone to to pest um
- 13:38like no one wants to use
- 13:41bushes pesticides right and like like
- 13:44anything kind of anything that's not
- 13:46organic so as a result everyone comes up
- 13:48with all you you you look for anything
- 13:50like even looking for this thing about
- 13:52fungus gats like it comes up with like
- 13:5415 different solutions and everyone is
- 13:56everyone in the comments is like none of
- 13:58these works yeah I mean it it you you
- 14:01you kind of stum across something go to
- 14:04a local coffee gr Brewery and get the
- 14:06grounds and rub put those in the soil
- 14:09I'll try cinnamon I'll try dious Earth
- 14:13I'll try like oh [ __ ] like mosquito
- 14:16dip or iguana egg shells the shell of
- 14:20the Iguana egg is very good at repelling
- 14:24slugs but only for cabbages will not
- 14:26work for cab
- 14:29in Moon though it will only it must be 3
- 14:33a.m. when you do you need an ordained
- 14:36Orthodox priest from Greek
- 14:40Orthodox has to come and anoint the uh
- 14:43eggshell of the uana and then the Slugs
- 14:47will turn back but the thing is what you
- 14:49get is you get someone swearing blind
- 14:52that it worked for them because maybe it
- 14:53did maybe it was something that happened
- 14:54maybe there was a cold snap maybe
- 14:56something maybe like I don't know like
- 14:58something happened and they it solved
- 15:00the problem for them and then from that
- 15:02point on that is then like an urban
- 15:04myth propagated around they think it's
- 15:07that but it's actually something else
- 15:08but they're convinced it's that and then
- 15:11it's it somehow sticks over the
- 15:13generation so good like trying to make
- 15:16connections they they want to see a
- 15:18connection and it's all incredibly kind
- 15:20of superstitious you know yeah um and oh
- 15:24we can't help ourselves honestly no um
- 15:26we have um God just to figure out what's
- 15:29what's called in these gats is blowing
- 15:31my [ __ ] mind we have uh we have
- 15:34guinea pigs in our house in a cage
- 15:36obviously um but they have we we have
- 15:39dry food for them you know they they eat
- 15:40like these little um you like Gertie
- 15:43guinea pig or and like Excel they're
- 15:45like these little pellet things that
- 15:46they eat so they have they they got
- 15:48bowls for dry food and we keep the the
- 15:50dry food close by in the house but
- 15:53sometimes when the dry food is open I
- 15:55don't know how this happens or maybe
- 15:57again there's eggs in there or something
- 16:00you get these like little they look like
- 16:01little meal worms or something they're
- 16:03like these tiny tiny ass little worms
- 16:05but it they crawl like onto the ceiling
- 16:08I don't know if they want to get to the
- 16:09light or or something but you see them
- 16:11they'll be on the wall and they'll be on
- 16:12the ceiling um and that's just if we
- 16:15keep the dry food like in a in a plastic
- 16:17bag that we can't really seal shut you
- 16:19get them they you get them everywhere
- 16:21they're gross like just these little
- 16:23worms but now we've got like these like
- 16:25cereal containers like you know plastic
- 16:28ones like Weare ones that you can you
- 16:30can Seal clothes
- 16:31and so they're either stuck in there or
- 16:34they just don't like Tupperware I don't
- 16:36know they run out of oxygen do you think
- 16:38um it's thing is when I had the power it
- 16:41didn't really matter if there was a few
- 16:42bugs and ins around cuz you know they
- 16:44would eat them yeah but like uh I think
- 16:48for I'm not sure guinea pigs want to eat
- 16:50worms no I don't think so ginea pigs ter
- 16:53eat them yeah we got two we've had them
- 16:54for well it' be two years and like next
- 16:57month I like the noises they make
- 17:00they're quite sweet yeah they are sweet
- 17:02but man they are hungry all the time and
- 17:04over over time they get to know the
- 17:07sounds of things so like a wrestling bag
- 17:09or just the fridge opening like they're
- 17:11in the kitchen so every time the fridge
- 17:14opens just go insane oh I see but in the
- 17:18same way that all animals a lot of
- 17:20animals are just hungry all time but if
- 17:22you actually feed them all the time they
- 17:23will just get massively fat yes yeah
- 17:26well cuz they in a little cage they
- 17:27don't in the summer they they go outside
- 17:29so they get to exercise and stuff but
- 17:31during the winter really they just sit
- 17:33around and get fat like there's not much
- 17:35for them to do so it's just Wate though
- 17:38right like they can they can they can I
- 17:41heard that D mice uh obviously hibernate
- 17:44for like something like four to six
- 17:46weeks but they get like they get they
- 17:48when they eat they get to twice their
- 17:49normal size before they hibernate and
- 17:52basically you can like poke a sleeping
- 17:53door which you shouldn't do but um it
- 17:56will kind of it they're they're almost
- 17:57like jelly you can like um you can
- 18:00deform them like they're jelly like poke
- 18:03like if you poke them it will like the
- 18:05fingerprint will stay in them where you
- 18:07poke them but it don't poke Terry was
- 18:10like the complete opposite of that when
- 18:11he was hibernating he was just like a
- 18:13like a solid cold brick like who didn't
- 18:15move like if you did you touch him while
- 18:17he was you you got to weigh them every
- 18:20week because they can get uh you know
- 18:22like if they start losing weight rapidly
- 18:25while they're hibernating they could die
- 18:27so you have to sort of keep an eye on
- 18:29there's all diseases that they could get
- 18:32they could have like you know worms or
- 18:34or something like oh Christ it's [ __ ]
- 18:36out of control nature thank you for
- 18:37saying that earlier P Flex by the way
- 18:39nature what are you doing just just
- 18:41chill out like there's even animals that
- 18:44live on the [ __ ] volcanic vents Under
- 18:46the Sea what are you doing what kind of
- 18:49life is that they they're not having fun
- 18:51down there it's ridiculous maybe they're
- 18:53having a nice time like wiggly worm on
- 18:55the bottom of a event they need to calm
- 18:58down they need w w inflatable arm
- 19:00flailing Wiggly what a I mean think I'd
- 19:02say 99.9% of all life on Earth just
- 19:05lives a miserable grinding existence of
- 19:07existing
- 19:09existing with no [ __ ] purpose Beyond
- 19:13maintaining their life many people's
- 19:16lives right now I'm referring to us I'm
- 19:18referring to humans at least ants serve
- 19:20a purpose what do I do I play football
- 19:22manager on stream for 10 hours yesterday
- 19:24that's what I did right what did you do
- 19:27for 10 hours sorry I I miss man oh nice
- 19:31you get into that I was into it for a
- 19:33bit Yeah I was playing it uh on my uh on
- 19:36my tablet it's it's it's fun you I think
- 19:38that's when you became friends with some
- 19:40of the dads at school right who footb
- 19:43talking about no I never got never went
- 19:45down did you have a fantasy football
- 19:47group with some of the dads at school I
- 19:49can't remember oh that was a long long
- 19:50time ago I I just I just I've gotten
- 19:53past a bit of World Cup fever and I
- 19:55thought you know what I'd love to join a
- 19:57football fantasy football thing but I
- 19:59realized very quickly um that people who
- 20:02regularly watch football are very
- 20:04knowledgeable about it and know who's
- 20:06good and stuff and I had no idea and I
- 20:09just couldn't make any points and it it
- 20:11kind it was kind of miserable like it's
- 20:13probably fun if you follow it and you
- 20:15know what you're doing I guess it's like
- 20:17a side effect of your hobby like if
- 20:20you're really into yeah football then
- 20:22you just accidentally know who's good
- 20:25and who's playing well and you can see
- 20:28stuff so your intuition is already there
- 20:30when it comes to like that that level of
- 20:32playing if you watched a lot of DOTA if
- 20:34you watched a lot of like regular season
- 20:37Dota or whatever you know leading up to
- 20:39TI and there's like a fantasy league
- 20:41where you could you could bet on teams
- 20:43and stuff like that it' be fine you know
- 20:45like I'm more familiar with it but
- 20:47football not at all what you
- 20:49knowledgeable about now um right now I'm
- 20:52very knowledgeable about uh the game
- 20:54hydr ear you ever heard of that oh yeah
- 20:57I've been playing that uh that fun yeah
- 20:59it's been playing some Marvel Rivals as
- 21:02well fairly knowledgeable about that um
- 21:05okay yeah you know just just just games
- 21:08just a couple games just a little couple
- 21:09little games T me over I don't know if
- 21:11you guys know this but um football
- 21:13manager 25 which meant to come out last
- 21:17year they they postponed it till March
- 21:19and now they've canceled it all together
- 21:21that's mad and I was discussing this the
- 21:23other day on stream I was doing a lot of
- 21:24wondering uh and I would love it if
- 21:26anybody out there knew or if you guys
- 21:27know um I I've got some theories about
- 21:29obviously the problem is that the people
- 21:31that develop um football manager have
- 21:33basically been making the same game for
- 21:3630 years or so because although there
- 21:38have been some changes a lot of the
- 21:40changes are are mostly cosmetic frontend
- 21:42UI changes or they've very slightly
- 21:45adjusted the in-game engine which I
- 21:47think is so old and creaky at this point
- 21:50that this basically reached its limit so
- 21:52they decided to move to Unity now the
- 21:54problem is although Unity is extremely
- 21:56common place and used in so many games
- 21:58no one at SI as far as I can tell knew
- 22:01what the [ __ ] they were doing with unity
- 22:03because apparently they put ads up
- 22:04saying if you're a Unity Dev we need you
- 22:07at SI games cuz they they bunch of old
- 22:08Lads who've been [ __ ] making FM know
- 22:10[ __ ] anything about Unity or Graphics
- 22:13apparently um because the game has
- 22:15looked like us for a very long time um
- 22:18so they try to move over to Unity it's
- 22:20obviously a massive problem for them
- 22:22they're trying to develop this game and
- 22:23release it and I just think you've got
- 22:25this culture surely uh at a company that
- 22:28b basically changes the bare minimum
- 22:30season to seon now it's like right Lads
- 22:32we need to rebuild the game from scratch
- 22:34with a new engine uh let's do it and
- 22:36we'll do it on the same time frame we
- 22:38normally do FM it's impossible they
- 22:40cannot do it they have to figure out how
- 22:42to code in the unity they have to
- 22:43[ __ ] move everything over they
- 22:45they've got all this God knows what
- 22:47spaghetti code if DOTA tried to move to
- 22:49DOTA 3 and they were like we're going to
- 22:51have to P everything over they would
- 22:52have to start again from scratch
- 22:54I so spaghettified a lot of these games
- 22:57though like Football manager I I feel
- 23:00like football manager because it spends
- 23:02such a a big um track of time I don't
- 23:05know if you need a new game every year
- 23:08it's a bit like farming Sim why do you
- 23:10need a why you need a new game every one
- 23:12or two years make one really good game
- 23:15that you can just easily add stuff to if
- 23:18you want to keep making money so the
- 23:20Paradox model is that we release Hearts
- 23:22of Iron and then for the next like 10
- 23:25years we're going to release DLC for
- 23:26that eu4 has been like 15 years and
- 23:29they're still pumping out DLC for
- 23:32it by the way can I just say the latest
- 23:34DLC for HS Vine is Iraq and Afghanistan
- 23:38finally World War II
- 23:41finally it's Iraq and Afghanistan in
- 23:44relation to what in relation to World
- 23:45War I that's the DLC their involvement
- 23:48you could play as those two countries
- 23:50weird that they would put those two
- 23:51together each it's weird but it's kind
- 23:53of it is it is cool that they add trees
- 23:57and stuff for every country cuz it it
- 23:59just makes the game more replayable you
- 24:01know like if you've already done a big
- 24:03campaign as Germany or you've already
- 24:06done a couple of big campaigns as the UK
- 24:08or whatever you'll probably want what am
- 24:10saying they don't border each other Iran
- 24:12borders Afghanistan sorry Iraqi and
- 24:14Iranians I always get they're like
- 24:16Corridor to the west or whatever right
- 24:18but so they they've also changed the
- 24:20focus tree for um India and this has
- 24:22caused a lot of controversy I don't know
- 24:24if you guys know about this no okay so
- 24:26they they call Afghanistan and that that
- 24:29sort of region the graveyard of Empires
- 24:30right cuz people go there and try and do
- 24:32[ __ ] and they lose so we went there back
- 24:34in the day of course the kyber pass and
- 24:36all that stuff got her ass is kicked
- 24:37because you can't fight in Afghanistan
- 24:38it's impossible it's literally fighting
- 24:40in in someone else's backyard where
- 24:41their backyard is just mountains and
- 24:44they know them and and there's no
- 24:46[ __ ] way to move [ __ ] around um and
- 24:49all of these areas are just miserable to
- 24:51to fight in as an Invader um as we
- 24:54discovered in in multiple engagements so
- 24:56they've added something called this sort
- 24:58of Silk Road system for India if you
- 25:01play as India you get cores which is
- 25:03important in Hearts of Iron a core
- 25:05territory means if you capture it you
- 25:08get all the Manpower and resources from
- 25:09it you don't have to see it as like
- 25:12occupied territory you're like this was
- 25:13it this was ours anyway do you know what
- 25:15I mean like when America takes Canada
- 25:17I'm sure they get cause on Canada if
- 25:19they go down the Donald Trump Focus Tree
- 25:21in of for a state yeah exactly so India
- 25:25got CES on along the the old Silk Road
- 25:28path um and these CS it's very weird but
- 25:31it does follow the Silk Road and if you
- 25:32look it's like this weird twisting line
- 25:34that follows the Silk Road the Chinese
- 25:36fans of Hearts of Iron are up in arms
- 25:39about this development and consider the
- 25:41fact that you can get CES on China as
- 25:43India but not vice versa to be
- 25:46anti-chinese propaganda and they have
- 25:48taken uh against Paradox uh they've been
- 25:51review bombing every Paradox game
- 25:53they've been having to go at pretty much
- 25:55anyone from Sweden that they can find
- 25:57online it's like a big online Hearts of
- 25:59Iron like trolling everything to do with
- 26:02Paradox games and Sweden um because
- 26:04they're so app but
- 26:06yeah that you get from you have to be so
- 26:09careful I don't even want to talk about
- 26:11it on this podcast because you know they
- 26:13might I am not review bomb just to be
- 26:16clear games I am not commenting on the
- 26:20who where what why um and and you know
- 26:22should they shouldn't they whatever for
- 26:24this exact reason I'm just saying what
- 26:26is happening that is crazy yeah yeah
- 26:28you're just informing us of a couple of
- 26:30factoids that you've picked up which is
- 26:32literally happening and you can go and
- 26:34look at these games and you'll see the
- 26:36reviews you can see it for yourself it's
- 26:37right there it's been all over gaming
- 26:39news and I haven't played Hearts of Iron
- 26:41in quite some time actually I I I I do
- 26:44enjoy it but it's it's one that I come
- 26:46back to every once in a while I feel
- 26:48like it's a it's a bit of a weird one to
- 26:50want to go and experience World War II
- 26:53from a different angle it's like I'm
- 26:54going to role play as Afghanistan and
- 26:56kind of not do much for years and then
- 26:59end the game like mean it's not actually
- 27:01a game no really it's kind of a a lot of
- 27:04the stry games like that you kind of um
- 27:08every time you play one you you just you
- 27:10kind of just make it either make it up
- 27:12as you go or you have like a you know
- 27:15you're looking for an achievement or you
- 27:17have like a really specific goal in mind
- 27:19yeah but I mean it's quite good that
- 27:22it's that replayable you know there's a
- 27:24lot of games that are just not you know
- 27:26you play them from start to finish and
- 27:27you're done you would never go back to
- 27:29them but it's kind of it is a bit of a
- 27:32of a Sandbox really that you can enjoy
- 27:35again especially with updates and stuff
- 27:37we've actually never really had a a huge
- 27:40problem with paradox's model I know it's
- 27:42you know it has been a a thing that
- 27:45people have complained about or
- 27:47commented on in the I'll be honest with
- 27:48you I I don't I don't understand the
- 27:50hate for it I really don't well I
- 27:52understand the hate for it when a DLC
- 27:54comes out and it's bad cuz then it's
- 27:56just it feels like [ __ ] of course it
- 27:58does maybe you don't buy it that's one
- 28:01thing cuz when an FM comes out and it's
- 28:03[ __ ] you're stuck with a [ __ ] game not
- 28:05just a bad DLC so and also a lot of the
- 28:07time when a DLC comes out they also
- 28:09release a patch for free along with it
- 28:11yeah and the problem is it's fomo isn't
- 28:13it it's like wait they're adding what
- 28:15and I have to pay how much for it but if
- 28:17this is a game you're still playing and
- 28:18you want them to keep developing it and
- 28:20adding new content they're only going to
- 28:22do that if they can get the money to
- 28:24develop it because it cost money to
- 28:25develop software and games I think
- 28:27another important aspect of this whole
- 28:29thing though is that there is such a
- 28:31fine balance between releasing a good
- 28:34base game and a not good one and then
- 28:37and then the discussion really comes
- 28:38into play because if they release a base
- 28:40game and it's good and people are happy
- 28:43to play it until DLC starts coming out
- 28:46for it then Happy Days I don't think
- 28:48anybody's complaining about it but when
- 28:49the base game comes out and it's missing
- 28:51loads of stuff that's when everybody's
- 28:53like oh they didn't even [ __ ] put in
- 28:55this really simple thing and know that
- 28:58it's just going to be in DLC and they're
- 29:00they're going to fleece you for it and
- 29:01stuff and I
- 29:03me yeah City skylines 2 was very much
- 29:06that yeah it was uh unfortunate but um
- 29:10so here was my idea for for FM is that
- 29:12they don't release FM 23 fm24 fm25 and
- 29:15so on what they do is football manager
- 29:17like ultimate and this version comes out
- 29:19and it's whatever they're building here
- 29:21with this Unity stuff and then they do
- 29:24DLC for basically what amounts to
- 29:26Cosmetics okay and I'll give you an
- 29:28example uh I would love it if the crowd
- 29:31sounds in South America were different
- 29:33to the crowd sounds when I'm playing not
- 29:35County versus Preston North End because
- 29:37when you look at football from other
- 29:39countries it sounds different the crowd
- 29:41sounds are different the noise that the
- 29:43fans make when someone goes close with a
- 29:44Chance in Spain is different to the way
- 29:47it is in England is different to the way
- 29:49it is in Italy and Germany and all of
- 29:50these countries are different and
- 29:52there's no feeling of that I want to see
- 29:54when it's the Argentinian league and
- 29:55you're in the bombing era River play
- 29:57against bcka Jun J I want to see tick a
- 29:59tape raining down from the stands I want
- 30:01to see all that kind of [ __ ] flares in
- 30:03the crowd I want to see [ __ ] pitch
- 30:04inv vases at the end of the season I
- 30:06will pay good money for that and they
- 30:09don't do it because every year they're
- 30:11just like we've [ __ ] we've tweaked the
- 30:13training UI I don't understand it you
- 30:15could be making so much more money and
- 30:17making a so much better game by having
- 30:19DLC cuz people try to mob this [ __ ] into
- 30:22the game anyway yeah uh and every year
- 30:24you can sell here's the here's our
- 30:26database update all of this well look
- 30:28you've got to understand that they're
- 30:30owned by Sega they've put it out yearly
- 30:32for the last 20 years and have made huge
- 30:36huge amounts of money on each one it's
- 30:38just such a reliable Revenue stream and
- 30:40all they need to do is keep that going
- 30:42and the problem is it's it must be an
- 30:44absolute hell for the people who work
- 30:46there to get this crunch every year of
- 30:49getting it out on time right and
- 30:51obviously yeah changing over to a new
- 30:52system that's why they've missed the
- 30:54latest one you know it was supposed to
- 30:55come out last November or something the
- 30:58missed the deadline my
- 31:00right canel it's just not coming out now
- 31:04well you know that's because they're
- 31:05going to do 2026 in November you know
- 31:08maybe next time mean I'm not kidding I
- 31:11don't know um how much patience Sager
- 31:15are going to have with with SI like my
- 31:17question is them so it doesn't matter
- 31:19but so they could also say to them
- 31:21you've got to put this game out like now
- 31:23in whatever state it is that's what
- 31:24these big companies are like but all of
- 31:26these companies are also looking for
- 31:27live service games they want game to
- 31:29have an ongoing player base that pays
- 31:31money at a steady rate rather than game
- 31:34comes out make money make nothing off
- 31:36that game for the next 6 to 8 months and
- 31:38then a year down the line no one's
- 31:40buying it instead you could have this
- 31:41game that continually makes money
- 31:43throughout the year and you can update
- 31:45it and improve it DLC is the model for
- 31:48me that FM should have and has
- 31:49completely missed out on and I don't
- 31:51understand it I really don't I'm not
- 31:52saying that you should have to buy
- 31:54leagues cuz the the core game at it at
- 31:56its base is still the [ __ ] same every
- 31:59year you put that out but instead of
- 32:00just saying oh you know when when
- 32:03wherever you're playing it's basically
- 32:04going to feel the same I mean I'm going
- 32:06and playing in South America and the
- 32:08area around the pitch still looks like
- 32:09the UK yeah like it's got the same
- 32:12ambulances and the same little toilets
- 32:13and the same little food stand and he
- 32:15think this doesn't look like the Uruguay
- 32:18League that I know um puts [ __ ]
- 32:20happen into that like there's in a way
- 32:23it's very England Centric as well the
- 32:25style of football the way players play
- 32:26looks like the Premier League or low
- 32:28leagues like it doesn't look like
- 32:29football in Italy or Spain or Russia
- 32:31China it's you know it's they can't CH
- 32:34the thing is theyve got it's not like
- 32:35Civ SE has completely reimagined the
- 32:37game from rebuild it from the ground up
- 32:39to massive problems it's basically all
- 32:41built on the same platform at least it
- 32:43has been up until now anyway I don't
- 32:45know if you saw next Fest was going on
- 32:47on Steam yeah there's like tons and it's
- 32:49like 4,000 demos and all of them are
- 32:51garbage I feel like I haven't found any
- 32:53good ones um it's it's very frustrating
- 32:56I think we're in a funny time maybe I
- 32:58just hate games but I just haven't found
- 33:00any one that actually grabbed me at all
- 33:02um you guys tried played anything
- 33:05interesting and good lately no um I
- 33:07happen I did do single player talk which
- 33:09old man yells at bad games I played a
- 33:12demo called architect life which was uh
- 33:14which was interesting it's like uh
- 33:16imagine like you're imagine building a
- 33:18house in The Sims um but then when
- 33:20you're done building it there's like a
- 33:22specification like a budget and stuff uh
- 33:25it does this like time lapse where the
- 33:27house is being built but then there's
- 33:28events that pop up that can like delay
- 33:30the build or cost more money and stuff
- 33:33um the demo is like pretty simple but
- 33:35the the campaign might be really fun sub
- 33:36sidence there's a sink hole has opened
- 33:38up yeah there'll just be stuff like that
- 33:40you know that'll just come up like as
- 33:42the the sort of like you know the the
- 33:44time lapse of the house being built but
- 33:47you know they build it and it looks like
- 33:48the house that you designed and then you
- 33:50could do like a viewing of the house
- 33:52after it's built and everything uh it's
- 33:54it's you know it what people are doing
- 33:56instead of being able so have houses but
- 33:59fun I think the campaign will be
- 34:01building
- 34:02their and another uh another game that
- 34:05uh I mentioned before blueprints I think
- 34:07is out next month which is a kind of
- 34:09like a house house puzzly sort of game
- 34:12it's really fun though I I played it um
- 34:14a couple months ago blueprints
- 34:16blueprints yeah you're a uh you you
- 34:19inherit a mansion from your Ecentric
- 34:21Uncle uh but you can only have the the
- 34:25wealth bestowed on to you if you like
- 34:27solve the puzzle of the Mansion so it's
- 34:29like you have it's kind of like uh RNG
- 34:33you know like you you walk into a room
- 34:35you consume a step and then you have
- 34:38three options of what room to build so
- 34:40you can you can build yourself into a
- 34:42dead end or you could build a room that
- 34:43has like a key for a door that you need
- 34:46or or whatever and you're trying to get
- 34:47to like the you know like the nerve
- 34:49center of the the mansion and you have a
- 34:52certain amount of days to do this but it
- 34:54resets every day so you have like a
- 34:55certain amount of moves each day it's
- 34:57got plan ahead I think you mentioned
- 34:59this before this blueprints yeah yeah
- 35:02it's fun I I I I played like it was a
- 35:04demo that I played a couple months ago
- 35:05but it's a p it's yeah it's clever yeah
- 35:08it's it's definitely unique I've never
- 35:10really played anything like it you feel
- 35:11like you're you're playing like an old
- 35:13Zelda game you know or like Binding of
- 35:15Isaac but without the uh needing any
- 35:18reflexes and and stuff you know it's
- 35:19just like a you got to think about what
- 35:21you're doing and there's there's little
- 35:23miname puzzles and stuff along the way
- 35:24it's good it's really good I'm still
- 35:26working through my list of games from
- 35:28the the best games of 2024 I've been
- 35:30playing um the root trees are dead what
- 35:32yeah I saw you playing that with which
- 35:34honestly is great looks very it's like a
- 35:37murder mystery not murder mystery like a
- 35:40family tree researcher filler up OA
- 35:43style you have to be like oh so this
- 35:44guy's with her so she must be his wife
- 35:47or sister and you sort of put them in
- 35:49and you work it out and it's I know it's
- 35:51just really fun really good um can
- 35:54recommend that one uh remember the good
- 35:56old days before Microsoft Word had
- 35:58autosave you'd type out an important
- 36:01report and then your computer would
- 36:03freeze and you'd lose hours of work just
- 36:06because you forgot to hit save o well
- 36:09that's what it's like going online
- 36:11without expressvpn yes every time you
- 36:15connect to an unencrypted Network in
- 36:17cafes hotels and airports your online

- 36:30knoow to do so just some cheap hardware

- 36:35data is valuable hackers can make up to
- 36:37$11,000 per person selling it on the
- 36:39dark web but expressvpn stops this by
- 36:42creating a secure encrypted tunnel
- 36:44between your device and the internet how
- 36:47secure is it it's super secure it would
- 36:48take a hacker with a supercomputer over

- 36:53encryption is it easy to use it is yes
- 36:56fire up the app and click one button to

- 37:22get up to four extra months free
- 37:25expressvpn.com Triforce thank you thank
- 37:27you very much on with the show the
- 37:29show there seems to be like quite quite
- 37:32a bit out it just it it's weird there's
- 37:34so much choice that you just have to
- 37:37it's not it's not a case of finding a
- 37:39game it's just a case of finding the
- 37:40right game that you're in the mood for
- 37:42at the time like I'm I feel like like a
- 37:44seasonal gamer you know like during like
- 37:47winter or leading up to Winter whatever
- 37:49I just like playing grindy shitty
- 37:52competitive games that you know I just
- 37:54get angry at but then I don't know as
- 37:57like sounds like me and golf yeah when
- 38:00Co happened I was all about it I was
- 38:02doing the lessons I was getting into it
- 38:04then they double locked down you
- 38:05couldn't even go out and do golf they
- 38:07were like oh no golf tell me about tell
- 38:09tell me about would I like would me and
- 38:10sips like golf people go out and do golf
- 38:14I've done some golf I tell you what I
- 38:16don't like full golf I do like going to
- 38:18the driving range though it's really fun
- 38:20there's something really nice too
- 38:22[ __ ] hard it's too hard golf is too
- 38:25hard it's impossible dude like it's not
- 38:28like if you're playing Five aside with
- 38:31other people who are [ __ ] and out of
- 38:32shape you can still have fun but playing
- 38:34golf the course is the same whether you
- 38:36are [ __ ] or whether you a professional
- 38:38player and it's designed to be somewhere
- 38:40in the middle ground where a decent
- 38:42golfer will have a decent test of
- 38:44themselves get it over this bit and get
- 38:46it around that bit and get it around
- 38:48this but if you're [ __ ] you're just
- 38:50going to lose the ball every time you
- 38:51hit it you're going to swing and miss it
- 38:53a lot of times it's going to shoot off
- 38:55and hit a tree and you're going to have
- 38:56to spend 10 minutes looking for it and
- 38:58there's all this etiquette on course
- 38:59Golf Course is like you you get a
- 39:01certain amount of time when you're
- 39:02permitted to look for your ball if you
- 39:03can't find it you can't you're wasting
- 39:05time people behind you want to play
- 39:07[ __ ] get on with it you've got to
- 39:08take a certain amount of time on at the
- 39:10tea and then it's like you got to get on
- 39:11with it like it's like a q system and
- 39:14you're holding everybody up so it's not
- 39:16like relaxing it's quite stressful and
- 39:18when you look down at the ball there and
- 39:20you look at how far they expect you to
- 39:22hit it and you hit it and it goes
- 39:24nowhere near it it's so [ __ ]
- 39:26miserable and you practice and you
- 39:29practice and you're not getting anywhere
- 39:30and the guy's like oh yeah what the pro
- 39:33show me your swing and you do the swing
- 39:35and the ball goes flying over to the
- 39:37left he's like right turn this toe 3 de
- 39:40that way and then you you hit it and
- 39:42you're like how the [ __ ] am I meant to
- 39:44remember that because I've got to
- 39:45remember the that toe there and and that
- 39:47that thumb there and then and then that
- 39:49bit there and then I have to put this
- 39:50shoulder here and I got to swing from
- 39:51here but I mustn't do that and if you
- 39:53come back too far it's going to do this
- 39:54and it's it's a nightmare and unless you
- 39:56were just those people who just good at
- 39:58things like physically you see people
- 40:01who are just able like the athletes are
- 40:02naturally sort of sports people who can
- 40:04just do things uh they get their body
- 40:07and they'll do something and they can do
- 40:08that exact movement over and over and
- 40:10over again which is the key to really
- 40:12golf is that your swing is your swing
- 40:14and when they like I'm working on
- 40:16improving my swing I'm working on 50
- 40:19things that need to improve about my
- 40:20swing and I can't remember all of them
- 40:23so I go to hit the ball and one in a
- 40:25hundred times I hit it and it's
- 40:26beautiful and it's perfect but I won't
- 40:28remember how I did it or what I did
- 40:30differently uh so it's just too [ __ ]
- 40:33it is a nightmare and if you're off by a
- 40:35fraction it's not like it just goes a
- 40:37little bit to the right it goes [ __ ]
- 40:40missile shooting to the right and dits a
- 40:42house and you never see the ball again
- 40:44that is golf so I so it
- 40:48quit you quit golf do you think do you
- 40:52think maybe you're just not the right
- 40:53age to fully appreciate it yet no
- 40:56exactly have to be old no no no no think
- 41:00it's a Cas that in 10 years you'll be
- 41:03like H maybe should give golf another go
- 41:06no no no I tried it for several years I
- 41:09driving range lessons I was into it yeah
- 41:13I was into it and I was getting
- 41:15somewhere and then I had to take a break
- 41:17so I went and started from scratch again
- 41:19the beginner course and I I can hit the
- 41:21ball I can get it up and down it's okay
- 41:23but the the inconsistency is so brutal
- 41:27and the punishment is so great when you
- 41:29mishit it that it's just not [ __ ]
- 41:31worth it it's just not worth it so I
- 41:33just decided nope what have you done
- 41:35instead what do you mean what do you
- 41:37what have you done instead with that
- 41:38time that you would have you know it's
- 41:40hours out on the golf course outside
- 41:42have you been walking the dog what
- 41:43what's like taking its place more games
- 41:46okay right I'm not saying it's good just
- 41:48you know it is what it is any golfing
- 41:50games in there no
- 41:52oh that's always a thing that confuses
- 41:55me how popular they are they're
- 41:57the dude hits the [ __ ] ball like it's
- 41:59not like me like even if you're bad at
- 42:01golfing games you can hit the ball
- 42:03hundreds of yards I've only done that
- 42:05once you ever seen Char Barkley golf
- 42:08before yeah swing so what hang on what
- 42:11you're saying is if it was more like
- 42:12Elden ring or something and really
- 42:14punishing and really hard and you have
- 42:16to keep failing really like loads um it
- 42:19would be better different fun worse good
- 42:22I don't know like is that what golf
- 42:24games should be like rather than easy I
- 42:27I play hard games I love I love hard
- 42:30games do is a hard game T of is a hard
- 42:32game when I play any game it's hard cuz
- 42:34I'm bad at games um I don't mind that I
- 42:37enjoy the challenge I like that uh I
- 42:39played Eve online an example of a game
- 42:41that is punishing uh when you lose you
- 42:43lose everything and it's brutal I I
- 42:45don't mind punishing games but the thing
- 42:48is when I lose a game of Dota or I die
- 42:52in tarov or something like that it's
- 42:54only me that sees that failure and I'm
- 42:57not pissing anybody else off well no but
- 42:59those games are games for gamers right
- 43:01whereas a golf game is not designed for
- 43:04gamers it's designed for golfers and as
- 43:05a result they are not Gamers they are
- 43:07[ __ ] at games and if they [ __ ] if the
- 43:09game's hard they're going to hate it
- 43:11they the thing is people that's not
- 43:14people hate being bad at things and they
- 43:16get this they get turned off of it real
- 43:18quick like you did with golf right right
- 43:20right no no so I I I again I don't mind
- 43:23necessarily how [ __ ] I am at it the
- 43:25problem is there is a real world cost to
- 43:28failure in golf which is I have to spend
- 43:32money to be a member of a golf course
- 43:34and I get sick of going because I just
- 43:35can't [ __ ] do it and I lose a lot of
- 43:38balls and they're not cheap uh it adds
- 43:40up and when you when you go out on the
- 43:42course with 12 balls and you come back
- 43:44with one you [ __ ] up you've lost 11
- 43:47golf balls and you're never getting them
- 43:48back and they were someone got me them
- 43:50for Christmas they're the easy to find
- 43:53golf ball couldn't find them all right
- 43:54special easy to find gol golf balls
- 43:56impossible to find I lost them so badly
- 43:59I think they vanish from the face of the
- 44:01Earth that's how badly I lost my golf I
- 44:03don't think anyone could have found
- 44:04these golf B so the other problem is the
- 44:07people you're playing with look at you
- 44:09sometimes like what the [ __ ] are you
- 44:10doing on this course you clearly need
- 44:12like a decade of practice cuz you are so
- 44:14bad so it's humiliating and you're there
- 44:17in real life and if you give up which I
- 44:19did I was doing golf with these two Lads
- 44:21and they like I was like I'm really new
- 44:22I'm totally [ __ ] and they were like
- 44:23doesn't matter come around play with us
- 44:25I was like okay cool and as we start
- 44:26playing I realize oh [ __ ] these guys are
- 44:28good so I'm like hitting a ball and it's
- 44:30like scuffing along the ground or
- 44:31hitting a tree and after a while I can
- 44:33see that they stopped talking to me they
- 44:34got their back to me and they're sort of
- 44:35shunning me and I'm like I'm like I'm
- 44:38being shunned I told you I was [ __ ] I
- 44:41told you this was going to
- 44:44be this guy's [ __ ] up our golf game
- 44:47so I was like [ __ ] you guys I'm going so
- 44:49I said all right to tell you what I can
- 44:50tell this isn't working out I'm going to
- 44:51go and they were like oh okay I was like
- 44:55[ __ ] pricks why would you I'm
- 44:57literally telling you don't I'm bad and
- 44:59they like no mate we'll be fine so I
- 45:01went quit halfway through [ __ ] maybe
- 45:03there's different levels of bad right
- 45:05cuz I play play board games with lots of
- 45:07different people randomly at like CHS
- 45:09and counts and stuff and um one of my
- 45:11friends invited someone who we play a
- 45:13game we all played before except this
- 45:15new guy came in and we were like oh
- 45:16don't worry we'll we we'll catch up
- 45:18we'll teach you normally the game takes
- 45:19like I don't know an hour and a half it
- 45:21took like five [ __ ] hours to play
- 45:23this game because he was like agonizing
- 45:25about every
- 45:27decision he was just like oh it was an
- 45:30absolute [ __ ] nightmare he just went
- 45:33on and on and on and I was like you know
- 45:36he just could not he was just completely
- 45:38paralyzed on every decision and you know
- 45:41for me my turn is like I don't care
- 45:43about winning jery I just like I'll do
- 45:45this fun thing fun thing fun thing and
- 45:46my turn is like 10 seconds every turn
- 45:48and it's like it's like there's bad and
- 45:51there's new and then there's like just
- 45:54that you know and I can I could tell see
- 45:57the you getting frustrated with certain
- 46:00people you but then again I just vow
- 46:02never to play with that guy again you
- 46:03know um I'll make an excuse I get that
- 46:06something come up I get that but it's
- 46:08like I I yes I could obviously just uh
- 46:10you know not play with those guys or
- 46:12they were a bad example but I did get
- 46:14the impression that when you're playing
- 46:16at a golf course you have to be around
- 46:19golfers and a lot of them are not fun
- 46:21people to be [ __ ] at golf around if that
- 46:23makes sense they get pissed off and they
- 46:26they lack patience and this is their
- 46:28Hobby and you're in the [ __ ] way and
- 46:30a lot of people are just kind of
- 46:32[ __ ] and now you've got to be
- 46:33around those [ __ ] and uh I'll give
- 46:36you an example um we were we were doing
- 46:39the the training course like the
- 46:40beginner's course we have to hit some
- 46:41balls then we go to collect them and
- 46:43there's these two guys obviously like
- 46:45business [ __ ] probably Drive Audi's or
- 46:47BMWs and they see this class we're all
- 46:50picking up the balls as own instructure
- 46:52is like right yep let's go pick up the
- 46:53balls and then we take them back and we
- 46:54hit them all again okay they start fing
- 46:57into us and they're like hitting the
- 46:59ball at us because we're on The Fairway
- 47:01and they're like well you're on our
- 47:03Fairway that that kind of [ __ ]
- 47:04attitude is something that you have to
- 47:06put up with and I'm sorry a lot of the
- 47:08people that play golf are rich in Rich
- 47:10entitled [ __ ] and they are not nice
- 47:12people to be around so that put me off
- 47:13too right um I think that that is that
- 47:16is definitely a thing I I I think the
- 47:18other I mean you even see it like when
- 47:19you play mini golf right or like like
- 47:22what's it Adventure Golf whatever that
- 47:24is like which I I quite enjoy but I'm
- 47:27there with like I don't know my brother
- 47:28or my parents or whatever there's four
- 47:30of us and there's two people behind we
- 47:32are of course going to be slower than
- 47:34them right and so there's two things you
- 47:35do one you either try and start rushing
- 47:38your game to stay ahead of them cuz
- 47:40they're going twice as fast as you are
- 47:41well you let them play through you say
- 47:43to them oh do you want to go through to
- 47:44the next one and a lot of the time they
- 47:45just say no we'll wait and it's like
- 47:47well well if you're waiting don't be a
- 47:49[ __ ] dick about it you I
- 47:51mean and TW around exactly it's like and
- 47:56but you can't say
- 47:58you have to say oh do you want to play
- 47:59through then if they say no you say if
- 48:02they ever do something annoying you just
- 48:04say oh do you want to play through you
- 48:05just keep saying that until they get the
- 48:07hint yeah um I just say we're
- 48:10playing go tell people what to do we're
- 48:12going backwards yeah we go we're going
- 48:14to do the old the other one again um
- 48:17yeah it's it's it's annoying so um I I
- 48:19get uh I I get frustrated when it's
- 48:23social embarrassment that is linked to
- 48:25my failure because don't care about
- 48:27failing at golf I don't mind being bad
- 48:29at golf I don't like being humiliated by
- 48:32people I don't [ __ ] know at a golf
- 48:34course that's a bridge too far for me
- 48:36yeah um and at that point I'm like well
- 48:38this isn't even fun to be bad at and I'm
- 48:40not even enjoying this when I [ __ ] at
- 48:42video games online and people clip it
- 48:44they're having fun I'm having fun it's
- 48:46enjoyable right and we can sort of share
- 48:48in that Badness together and I don't
- 48:50mind and people actually enjoy watching
- 48:52me fail at video games obviously I do
- 48:55not like failing in front of people in
- 48:57real life as something I'm [ __ ] at and
- 48:59for them not to be like laughing and
- 49:01enjoying that but instead to get pissed
- 49:03off you can go [ __ ] yourself so I quit
- 49:05uh and this was a friendly course like
- 49:07they were everyone there was really
- 49:08lovely but when they got on the course
- 49:10they became [ __ ] and I don't really
- 49:12understand why it's just God it is funny
- 49:14because it's a miserable game to play
- 49:17this happens with certain games right
- 49:18and certain things where they are
- 49:20weirdly competitive and people can't
- 49:22[ __ ] help themselves like like I
- 49:24remember every time we would do like the
- 49:26m inecraft race for the world or certain
- 49:28other Minecraft games everyone became
- 49:31like sweaty try hards immediately and
- 49:33stopped having fun and they couldn't
- 49:35help themselves it was just it and DOTA
- 49:37does that for sure it it you know if
- 49:40you're messing around having trying to
- 49:42have fun and do a silly build there's
- 49:45going to be someone on your team who's
- 49:46mad as [ __ ] with you you I mean and you
- 49:49have to be like a really kind of
- 49:51charismatic person to be to pull that
- 49:54[ __ ] off do you know what I mean you
- 49:55have to be like
- 49:57I mean I don't know Joe Joe you have to
- 49:59be like Joe basically you have to be the
- 50:00best person on the team doing something
- 50:02stupid that everyone's laughing along
- 50:04with right right and and if anyone else
- 50:08was if I was doing it everyone would be
- 50:10like you are [ __ ] already you're you're
- 50:13dragging down the team already and now
- 50:15you're trying to do something stupid
- 50:16like [ __ ] get out of our team you I
- 50:19mean I that's certainly the case if you
- 50:21played that like in a public game like
- 50:23you're playing with four strangers and
- 50:25you came to [ __ ] around they want to win
- 50:27because it is fun to win games of doter
- 50:28and especially if there's MMR at stake
- 50:30people take that very seriously yeah um
- 50:32whereas if you're playing with mates
- 50:34like when we play uh me Joe and his Lads
- 50:36and we play doter in the evenings we
- 50:38will come up with really dumb drafts and
- 50:41and ideas and and ways of playing uh
- 50:44like we had one a couple of months ago
- 50:46we did it where we got all the heroes
- 50:47that could move enemy Heroes and we had
- 50:51like there's one hero called Tusk who
- 50:52can kick enemy Heroes quite far like he
- 50:55can boot them this is different though
- 50:56this is like actually playing as a group
- 50:58of friends together so I'm sure if I
- 51:01went around a golf course with a bunch
- 51:03of equally [ __ ] mates and we had a laugh
- 51:05I would have a whale of a time and I
- 51:07think what you're what you're saying is
- 51:09that everyone has to be on the same page
- 51:10right exact you almost have to like but
- 51:12you need some patience and you need to
- 51:14understand like when I didn't say to
- 51:15them um I'm actually quite good at golf
- 51:18and misled them I said this will be my
- 51:20second ever round of golf it's going to
- 51:22be really bad they're like don't worry
- 51:23about it don't worry about it and then
- 51:25get all shitty it's like well [ __ ] you I
- 51:27mean what are you doing that is that is
- 51:28kind of why they invite you in the first
- 51:30place yeah I mean at least I mean the
- 51:32the on the positive side at least
- 51:34somebody invited you
- 51:36somewhere but you
- 51:38know oh yeah Jo that silver lightting
- 51:42turn around and make you look like an
- 51:44[ __ ] you
- 51:45know that's that you know that's that's
- 51:48really true SS you know at least someone
- 51:51invited you somewhere P FL that's yeah
- 51:53oh I'm just sit my I don't get invited
- 51:55anywhere so
- 51:58stupid well sorry I'm just uh it's nice
- 52:01to be invited it is nice to be to be
- 52:03invited somewhere not not by unpleasant
- 52:07people well bers can't be choosers you
- 52:10saying
- 52:12exactly exactly
- 52:14oh yeah no it's I I i' I think everybody
- 52:18has been in a situation similar to that
- 52:20it's like uh you know like you go if you
- 52:23go to like paintballing at work uh and
- 52:26every everybody's like how many people
- 52:28have gone paintballing before and
- 52:30everybody's like oh never this is my
- 52:31first time I can't wait and you get
- 52:33there and everybody is like you know
- 52:35some sweaty 20-year-old veteran you know
- 52:40ex exmilitary
- 52:42Commando you're just like okay dude yeah
- 52:46exactly it's like it it always happens
- 52:49it happens in everything it's true I I
- 52:51do um I do think that the idea of having
- 52:54uh a hobby like golf I really liked the
- 52:57idea of it um but it just didn't work
- 52:59out so in but in terms of like filling a
- 53:01void or whatever uh in what I do with my
- 53:03spare time I would say the thing that
- 53:05I've started doing more this like last
- 53:07maybe four five months is trying to be a
- 53:09better cook like at home right um so I I
- 53:13watch a lot of cooking stuff on YouTube
- 53:15I always did but I realized that and
- 53:17this is easy to get into a rut of
- 53:19basically doing the same shop more or
- 53:21less every week uh and you know you'll
- 53:24varied up a bit but there are a lot of
- 53:25sort of Staples dishes you fall into a
- 53:27habit of cooking and I was like I don't
- 53:30know if I want to cook that again do you
- 53:32know what I mean like I've done that
- 53:34dish so many times now that it's good
- 53:37and we all enjoy it but I want to try
- 53:39something else so I've just trying to
- 53:41cook slightly more unusual things like
- 53:43for example Not Unusual things but
- 53:45things that maybe I hadn't cooked before
- 53:47so I hadn't cooked a musaka before Mrs F
- 53:49always did the musaka that was just a
- 53:51thing that she did so she was like I'd
- 53:53love it if you did a musaka I was like
- 53:54can do so made what's i' never done one
- 53:56before made one from scratch did the
- 53:58whole thing it's quite a faf but it was
- 54:00well worth it and it was amazing like it
- 54:02was genuinely amazing I was like wow
- 54:03this is this is great and I find that
- 54:05when I'm cooking when I'm even just
- 54:06chopping vegetables or cleaning pant and
- 54:09preparing them to be used getting the
- 54:11kitchen ready looking up the recipe
- 54:12following it doing everything measuring
- 54:14stuff I am at Absolute peace yeah I am
- 54:17thinking about nothing else I'm very
- 54:19relaxed I really enjoy it um and I find
- 54:22that is my zen moment every day is
- 54:25cooking dinner nice and I think for some
- 54:27people it would be going to the driving
- 54:29range and hitting some balls and we all
- 54:31look for something and there is pressure
- 54:33when you're cooking you don't want to
- 54:33[ __ ] up your family's dinner and you
- 54:35want them to be happy but the payoff is
- 54:37way better because I feel like if I hit
- 54:39a good golf shot I'm the only one who
- 54:40saw that but if I cook a meal that my
- 54:42whole family enjoys and says oh that was
- 54:44so good I feel so happy so I think
- 54:46that's what I've replaced as a sort of
- 54:49not on not online hobby is is cooking
- 54:52that's really wholesome dude that's
- 54:53really good yeah it is good I wish um
- 54:56I wish I could enjoy cooking I hate it
- 54:59why why can't you cook well I I mean I
- 55:02can cook I just I just find it not my
- 55:05zen place you know oh like I just uh I
- 55:08need I need something different than
- 55:09that uh I think your kitchen is a little
- 55:11bit cramped a a little bit um crazy
- 55:14there's always something going on in it
- 55:16there's like there's stuff you know kids
- 55:19kids kids stuff dirty bottles dirty you
- 55:22know I don't think you have like it's
- 55:24not a very Zen space is it it's always I
- 55:27get the impression that the kitchen is a
- 55:28noisy my whole house is not as in space
- 55:31at the moment because of all this crap
- 55:32going on but soon it soon it will return
- 55:35back to its its um it's it's its place
- 55:39of zenis hopefully we'll see yeah lately
- 55:43I've been using the pressure cooker
- 55:44quite a lot and I've been doing
- 55:45different grains I did like some buck
- 55:47wheat the other day nice I'll do I'll do
- 55:51different vegetables like I usually like
- 55:53every afternoon I'll come in from the
- 55:55office put something in the Press cooker
- 55:56and then a couple of hours an hour later
- 55:58when it's done make something outfit um
- 56:01but yeah I I I'm the same I I thought I
- 56:03God it's just the same if I'm not
- 56:05careful it's the same routine of fajitas
- 56:07green Thai curry regular Curry pasta
- 56:10with sauce mean like it's just that
- 56:12those same four things like over and
- 56:14over yeah um I mean I'm not saying that
- 56:16that like I'm cooking oh he's he's doing
- 56:19a unbelievable range of of neverbe seen
- 56:22dishes I'm just finding recipes like Jac
- 56:25pepan has a real inspiration for me Ja
- 56:29Jack P yeah you talked about yeah and
- 56:32watching him cook and seeing the little
- 56:33techniques that he does I find that if
- 56:36if you try and teach me something I I am
- 56:38so stupid and my memory is so bad that
- 56:40it's gone instantly but for some reason
- 56:42when I watch people cooking and I can I
- 56:44can learn the technique and retain it uh
- 56:47I think it's cuz it's something I really
- 56:48like um so you know I've just want to I
- 56:50want he does some recipes and I'm like
- 56:52man I could totally do that and I watch
- 56:54it once and then I've got it in my head
- 56:55and I know what to do and as the more
- 56:57you cook the more you can adapt to
- 56:59things like you can look at ingredients
- 57:01and see how to assemble them it's really
- 57:03not most recipes really not that
- 57:05difficult and they're pretty similar if
- 57:06it's French it probably involves butter
- 57:08and probably cream uh if it's Spanish
- 57:10probably involves rice probably peppers
- 57:13and some chilies if it's uh Indian food
- 57:15it's going to basically have garam
- 57:17masala curry powder onions and ghee like
- 57:20it's it's you you can assemble things a
- 57:22lot more easily once you've cooked a few
- 57:23things um but it's it's fun it's really
- 57:25enjoyable but I will still say the air
- 57:27fryer is my favorite thing to cook with
- 57:30is it still is it still is it still up
- 57:31there we don't use it every day but when
- 57:34we do use it it started to drop off well
- 57:36no it's just it's not it's not exciting
- 57:38anymore to see it but now it's become
- 57:40mundane yeah but equally if you get a
- 57:42quass on from the store you BOS it in
- 57:44the air fryer for a couple of minutes
- 57:45suddenly it's crispy in the outside it's
- 57:46warm all the way through that's way
- 57:48better you couldn't microwave that you
- 57:49want to reheat some pizza wash it in the
- 57:51air fryer all of these things good think
- 57:53is I I I had a big clean I put my air
- 57:55fryer away when I was cleaning the
- 57:57kitchen and I haven't got in out since
- 57:59CU I forgotten that it was in the
- 58:00cupboard you know what I mean when it
- 58:02was out there on the surface I was like
- 58:03oh let's use this for a thing let's use
- 58:04this and since I put it away I've never
- 58:06used it again don't think I would put it
- 58:08away I don't think I would put it away I
- 58:10I would I I we keep it out we've just it
- 58:12takes up so much [ __ ] space on the
- 58:14top like you've got your toaster your
- 58:17cattle your [ __ ] microwave your hair
- 58:20fryer and your pressure cooker and that
- 58:22basically is the entire kitchen there's
- 58:24no space to cut stuff so
- 58:26got a bit of a footprint has it multiple
- 58:28things away in order to um not to have
- 58:32anywhere to use yeah I get you I get you
- 58:35do you uh get an additional I never used
- 58:38the oven you never used the oven never
- 58:41used the oven what is that I could I
- 58:42could get rid of it i' never put
- 58:44anything in there I never I never use it
- 58:46for anything I don't use it do you guys
- 58:48know what I really love one of my
- 58:50favorite things ever titties lose news
- 58:52hit me baby let's go
- 58:56okay I don't have any lose news Sam is
- 58:58on holiday he hasn't prepared excuse and
- 59:02neither is Tom this is
- 59:04unacceptable hold on though that there
- 59:06was we did a PP and there was some
- 59:08leftover news from that that we didn't
- 59:11use we did a sens peee um I mean here's
- 59:15one from the 25th of Feb uh couple
- 59:17forced to sit next to dead woman on Long
- 59:19Haul flight I saw that I saw that um for
- 59:234 hours apparently dead body they're
- 59:25traveling Melbourne from from Melbourne
- 59:28to doar on route to Italy a woman walked
- 59:30out of the toilet and collapsed 10 hours
- 59:32into the journey so she died and they
- 59:34just they tried to wheel her up towards
- 59:36business class but she was quite a large
- 59:37lady and they couldn't get her through
- 59:38the aisle so then they stuck her in a
- 59:40seat and like you're going to have to
- 59:42sit next to her sit next to this woman
- 59:44who's died that is awful oh my God uh
- 59:48okay how about this um I saw this news
- 59:51in February so this is this month um
- 59:54banana mystery deepens as more spotted
- 59:57in Street uh so tell me
- 1:00:01[Music]
- 1:00:03more okay so basically there's this
- 1:00:06place called beaston right right and
- 1:00:09wait wait wait is this in the UK in the
- 1:00:11UK beaston spell it beaston b e e s t o
- 1:00:15n I think that was popularized by Huey
- 1:00:17Lewis the heart of rock and rolls in
- 1:00:20beaston you know a plate of 16 to 20
- 1:00:24it's pronounced Bon [ __ ] off it's
- 1:00:27definitely got to be they say the heart
- 1:00:28of rock and rolls in beaston
- 1:00:31so and from what I've seen I believe him
- 1:00:34between 16 and 20 peeled bananas has
- 1:00:38been appearing on this street corner
- 1:00:41reliably once a month okay and residents
- 1:00:45have noticed it it's been a constant in
- 1:00:47their lives for more than a year uh they
- 1:00:49appear early in the morning on the
- 1:00:51second of the month I see them on my way
- 1:00:53to work and no one's sure what's going
- 1:00:56on because they they just slowly go mold
- 1:00:58moldy and and it's some people think
- 1:01:00it's gross but it's become like a kind
- 1:01:03of or became like a bit of a viral
- 1:01:06sensation and people started traveling
- 1:01:09uh to see it Luke Roberts traveled 3
- 1:01:11hours from slow to see the the plate of
- 1:01:14bananas interesting um but it but it
- 1:01:16apparently had gone missing we came up
- 1:01:18at 7:00 last night and pl of bananas was
- 1:01:22God missing um it's ridiculous so yeah
- 1:01:25they they've they' people are people
- 1:01:27have been saying you know um we delayed
- 1:01:30going to the shops until today cuz this
- 1:01:32route takes us past the bananas it's sad
- 1:01:35where are these people from India from
- 1:01:37beaston beaston B Baston Beast beaston I
- 1:01:41I was the accent threw me there I
- 1:01:43thought I thought we changed country
- 1:01:45Mary Mary Smith an 80-year-old resident
- 1:01:47has lived in the area for 48 years and
- 1:01:49has never known anything like it I've
- 1:01:51never known anything like it we we saw
- 1:01:55him last year we had to come back it
- 1:01:58makes me laugh I've never seen anything
- 1:02:01like it my granddaughter who was in
- 1:02:04lanzerotti heard about it and asked me
- 1:02:07what was going on with the bananas I've
- 1:02:09never seen anything like it so someone's
- 1:02:13leaving bananas on the street that's
- 1:02:15that's news isn't it like that one
- 1:02:17incredible how about this one I found
- 1:02:19this one as well these are the two I
- 1:02:20found for um Simon's peee but we didn't
- 1:02:22use them uh Sydney people living in
- 1:02:25Sydney
- 1:02:26um if you look on Google Maps you will
- 1:02:28start seeing like a land landmarks but
- 1:02:31the landmarks are cats like Friendly
- 1:02:34Neighborhood
- 1:02:35Cats I like and so you can go to Google
- 1:02:38Maps and point you to like a friendly
- 1:02:40orange cat sometimes they've got the
- 1:02:43names on them um but yeah you can that
- 1:02:46people are reviewing them and like
- 1:02:47rating them um and and talking about how
- 1:02:50friendly they are and whether you can
- 1:02:52cuddle them so you could kind of I think
- 1:02:54it's a [ __ ] brilliant IDE that you
- 1:02:56can have Google Maps you can walk around
- 1:02:58Sydney and just find cats as little
- 1:03:01landmarks and you know give them a
- 1:03:03little I like that I like that a lot and
- 1:03:05I'm not even a fan of cats but luckily
- 1:03:07our cat is not a fan of me either so so
- 1:03:09yeah some of them are like some of them
- 1:03:11got hundreds because period kicks a cat
- 1:03:13and he's cats evil the
- 1:03:16cat oh so God no I think this is this is
- 1:03:21the there's I've noticed that there's um
- 1:03:23there's some cities and some countries
- 1:03:25with feral cats and there's some cities
- 1:03:27with feral dogs and the ones with feral
- 1:03:29cats are always so much
- 1:03:32better really no you're right I'm just
- 1:03:35saying if you live somewhere there feral
- 1:03:37dogs it's a [ __ ] [ __ ] if you live
- 1:03:39somewhere in there feral cats it's great
- 1:03:41uh usually like the the worst you're
- 1:03:43going to get from a feral cat is you
- 1:03:44might get fleas but feral dogs [ __ ]
- 1:03:47attack people and [ __ ] like it's it's
- 1:03:49not great um right what else have I got
- 1:03:53that's that's all we're going to have to
- 1:03:54end that's all he's got that's all I got
- 1:03:56sorry about this enjoy enjoy um yeah
- 1:04:00sorry that's an embarrassing end of the
- 1:04:01podcast but that's it that's all that's
- 1:04:03all we got I mean that's all we got all
- 1:04:04it for this week we've been making too
- 1:04:06many podcasts lately guys it's been out
- 1:04:08of control we've run out of running out
- 1:04:10of steam this is what happens when we
- 1:04:12start putting out extra podcast we don't
- 1:04:13have enough gas y you know I didn't even
- 1:04:15get to tell you guys about my trip I
- 1:04:17went to London uh last week did on half

- 1:04:27that you know yeah yeah it's dog well
- 1:04:31you've told us about it now yeah
- 1:04:33anything interesting happened my kids
- 1:04:36really enjoyed it they they loved it um
- 1:04:38anything else happened not really no we
- 1:04:40but it was it was it was just a nice it
- 1:04:42was a nice break we went to uh lots of
- 1:04:45like museums and we we did a lot of
- 1:04:47shopping and stuff and the weather was
- 1:04:49surprisingly pretty decent it was it was
- 1:04:52all right it was it was a good one short
- 1:04:54but to Disney On Ice we won uh tickets
- 1:04:58to Disney On Ice with a backstage pass
- 1:05:00so we got to meet some of the car so we
- 1:05:02went to that with the other people who
- 1:05:03won the competition and we were chatting
- 1:05:05and hanging out and we got some nibbles
- 1:05:06and chatted to a couple of people and
- 1:05:08some people came in dressed as the
- 1:05:09things that were going to be the stuff
- 1:05:11whatever and the kids were excited and
- 1:05:13then the show started it was dog [ __ ] me
- 1:05:16and Mrs f are bored to out to tears they
- 1:05:19have a halftime break and we say to the
- 1:05:21kids right that's it kids time to go
- 1:05:23they're finished yeah we left and they
- 1:05:26were like why is everyone else staying I
- 1:05:28was like they're just slow ignore them
- 1:05:30we're leaving and we got the [ __ ] out of
- 1:05:32there it was best you did the full
- 1:05:34halftime leave yeah oh my gosh dude I
- 1:05:38wanted I wanted to kill someone it was
- 1:05:40so bad if I have to hear it's a small
- 1:05:43world ever again I'm turning violent on
- 1:05:46Q I can't help it I [ __ ] hate Disney
- 1:05:49[ __ ] like that oh man wow what a glowing
- 1:05:52review for Disney On Ice yeah [ __ ] me I
- 1:05:56I I on the other hand made it through
- 1:05:58both halves it was impressive you know I
- 1:06:01I think I just switched myself off you
- 1:06:02know like as as you often do as a parent
- 1:06:05you just kind of have to you just kind
- 1:06:07of have to find that that inner place
- 1:06:09you know where uh you just don't really
- 1:06:12exist anymore and hope that everybody
- 1:06:14leaves you alone y so I did that for
- 1:06:16like two hours it was good you zone out
