- 2:14>> You've got a
- 2:14friend in me.
- 2:52>> Hey friends, welcome back. Today we are
- 2:54stepping into the magical world of Toy
- 2:56Story 1995, the groundbreaking animated
- 2:59adventure that introduced audiences to a
- 3:02place
- 3:02>> [music]
- 3:02>> where toys secretly come alive whenever
- 3:05humans aren't around. At the center of
- 3:07the story is Woody, Andy's loyal cowboy
- 3:10toy and the leader of his beloved
- 3:12collection. But [music] Woody's
- 3:13comfortable life changes completely when
- 3:16Andy receives Buzz Lightyear, a
- 3:18futuristic space ranger who believes
- 3:20he's a real hero on a mission.
- 3:22>> [music]
- 3:22>> As Buzz quickly becomes Andy's new
- 3:24favorite, Woody begins to fear that he's
- 3:26being replaced. [music]
- 3:27What starts as a rivalry soon turns into
- 3:30an unexpected adventure filled with
- 3:32comedy, danger, friendship, and
- 3:34unforgettable moments. So, sit back,
- 3:37relax, and let's [music] jump straight
- 3:39into today's movie recap. The story
- 3:41begins in the bedroom of a young boy
- 3:43named Andy,
- 3:44>> [music]
- 3:44>> a place that looks completely ordinary
- 3:46to human eyes, but hides an incredible
- 3:49secret. Whenever Andy is nearby, his
- 3:52[music] toys remain perfectly still,
- 3:54pretending to be lifeless objects. But
- 3:56the moment the room becomes empty,
- 3:59everything changes. [music]
- 4:00The toys suddenly come alive, moving
- 4:02around, talking to each other, and
- 4:05worrying about the things happening in
- 4:06their little world. They have their own
- 4:08friendships, [music]
- 4:09arguments, fears, and personalities.
- 4:12And although Andy thinks of them simply
- 4:14as toys, they secretly experience every
- 4:17moment of his childhood alongside him.
- 4:19[music]
- 4:19>> Among all of them, Woody is the clear
- 4:21leader. He is a cowboy doll who has been
- 4:24Andy's favorite toy for years, and he
- 4:27takes [music] enormous pride in the
- 4:28special place he holds in Andy's heart.
- 4:31Woody is not only important [music]
- 4:32because Andy loves him. The other toys
- 4:35also look to him whenever something goes
- 4:37[music] wrong. He organizes the group,
- 4:39keeps everyone calm, and makes sure they
- 4:41are prepared whenever Andy enters the
- 4:43room. [music] His closest friends
- 4:45include Slinky Dog, Mr. Potato Head,
- 4:48Rex, Hamm, Bo Peep, and many others who
- 4:51have become part of Andy's childhood.
- 4:53[music]
- 4:53>> Woody's relationship with Andy is
- 4:55especially important to him. Andy takes
- 4:58[music] Woody on adventures, plays
- 5:00cowboy games with him, and treats him
- 5:02like a trusted companion. [music]
- 5:04Woody has become so accustomed to being
- 5:06Andy's favorite that he rarely considers
- 5:08the possibility that another [music] toy
- 5:10could take his place. To Woody, Andy's
- 5:13love feels permanent. [music] He
- 5:15believes that no matter what happens, he
- 5:17will always have a special position in
- 5:19the boy's life. But everything begins to
- 5:22change [music] when Andy's birthday
- 5:24approaches. The toys immediately become
- 5:26nervous because birthdays are
- 5:28unpredictable. A new toy could arrive at
- 5:31any moment, [music] and nobody knows
- 5:33what Andy's family has chosen for him.
- 5:36From the toys' perspective, [music]
- 5:37every birthday is a potential threat
- 5:39because a new and exciting toy could
- 5:41become the center of Andy's attention.
- 5:43[music]
- 5:44Woody tries to keep everyone calm, and
- 5:46reminds them that there is no reason to
- 5:48panic. However, even he [music]
- 5:51understands that something could change.
- 5:53The toys organize themselves carefully
- 5:55whenever Andy's mother or other family
- 5:57members enter the room. [music]
- 6:00They know that humans must never
- 6:01discover their secret. If [music] Andy
- 6:04suddenly walks through the door, they
- 6:06instantly freeze and pretend they were
- 6:08never moving.
- 6:09>> [music]
- 6:09>> Their entire existence depends on
- 6:11maintaining this secret and they have
- 6:13become experts at hiding their true
- 6:15personalities from the human world.
- 6:18When Andy's birthday celebration finally
- 6:20arrives, the toys wait anxiously to see
- 6:23what he will receive.
- 6:24From their hiding places, they watch as
- 6:27Andy opens his presents one after
- 6:29another.
- 6:30Every new gift creates excitement, but
- 6:33the toys are especially nervous about
- 6:35one mysterious package.
- 6:37Woody knows that whatever is inside
- 6:39could become his biggest competition.
- 6:42Then Andy opens the final gift. Inside
- 6:45is a remarkable new action figure unlike
- 6:48anything the other toys have ever seen.
- 6:50His name [music] is Buzz Lightyear, a
- 6:52futuristic looking space ranger equipped
- 6:55with wings, a helmet, buttons, lights,
- 6:57[music] and an impressive collection of
- 6:59gadgets. Andy is immediately fascinated
- 7:02by him. Buzz's appearance is completely
- 7:05different from Woody's simple cowboy
- 7:07design
- 7:07>> [music]
- 7:07>> and his futuristic style makes him
- 7:09incredibly exciting to a young boy.
- 7:11>> Buzz, however, has no idea that he is a
- 7:14toy.
- 7:15>> From his perspective, he's a real space
- 7:17ranger who has arrived on an unknown
- 7:19planet. He believes he has an important
- 7:22mission and begins examining the room as
- 7:25though he has landed in unfamiliar
- 7:26territory. He looks at the other toys
- 7:29without realizing that they are also
- 7:31alive and he speaks with complete
- 7:33confidence about space travel, missions,
- 7:36and protecting the galaxy. The other
- 7:38toys are amazed. Rex is fascinated by
- 7:41Buzz's technology. Slinky is impressed
- 7:43by his confidence. Mr. Potato Head
- 7:46enjoys having such an unusual new
- 7:48character around, and even the other
- 7:51toys begin gathering around him. Woody
- 7:53watches the scene carefully, [music]
- 7:55trying to convince himself that he has
- 7:57nothing to worry about, but Andy's
- 7:59behavior tells a different story. Andy
- 8:02begins playing with Buzz constantly.
- 8:04[music] He carries him around, shows him
- 8:06to his family, and becomes fascinated by
- 8:09every feature on the new action figure.
- 8:12Woody, who has always been the center of
- 8:14Andy's games, suddenly finds himself
- 8:16sitting on the sidelines. The cowboy
- 8:18tries to stay positive, but every new
- 8:21moment with Buzz makes his fear of being
- 8:23replaced stronger. Buzz does not
- 8:25understand Woody's jealousy. He sees
- 8:28Woody as another toy who [music] might
- 8:29be able to help him understand this
- 8:31strange planet. He confidently explains
- 8:34his mission and talks about returning to
- 8:36his home. Woody tries to tell him that
- 8:39he is not space ranger [music]
- 8:41and that they are all toys belonging to
- 8:43Andy. Buzz simply refuses to believe
- 8:46him. In Buzz's mind, Woody's explanation
- 8:49makes no sense.
- 8:50>> [music]
- 8:50>> He believes his advanced equipment
- 8:52proves that he is a genuine space
- 8:54ranger. He begins exploring the bedroom,
- 8:57testing his equipment, and showing the
- 8:59other toys what he can do. His
- 9:01confidence only makes Woody more
- 9:03irritated. The tension between the two
- 9:05begins growing. Woody tries [music] to
- 9:07maintain his position as leader, but
- 9:10Buzz's arrival changes the balance
- 9:12inside the room. The other toys are
- 9:15fascinated by him, and Andy's attention
- 9:17has clearly shifted. Woody begins
- 9:20feeling something he has never had to
- 9:22deal with before, jealousy. [music]
- 9:24He starts worrying that Andy may
- 9:26eventually forget about him completely.
- 9:29For Woody, Buzz is no longer just a new
- 9:31toy. He is a threat to everything Woody
- 9:34believes makes him special, and as Andy
- 9:37becomes more attached to his new Space
- 9:38Ranger,
- 9:39>> [music]
- 9:39>> Woody begins realizing that his
- 9:41comfortable life as Andy's favorite toy
- 9:44>> [music]
- 9:44>> may be coming to an end. What Woody does
- 9:46next will set off a chain of events that
- 9:49takes both toys far beyond the safety of
- 9:52Andy's bedroom. [music] Buzz Lightyear's
- 9:54arrival completely changes the
- 9:55atmosphere inside Andy's bedroom. The
- 9:58toys are fascinated [music] by
- 10:00everything about him, from his
- 10:02futuristic suit and communication
- 10:04equipment to his [music] confident
- 10:06attitude and belief that he is on an
- 10:07important mission. Buzz walks around the
- 10:10room as though he has landed on an
- 10:12unfamiliar [music] planet, carefully
- 10:14observing his surroundings and trying to
- 10:16understand where he is. The other toys
- 10:18listen to him with excitement, but Woody
- 10:21becomes increasingly uncomfortable
- 10:23because every new discovery makes Buzz
- 10:25[music] even more impressive in Andy's
- 10:27eyes. Woody tries to remind everyone
- 10:29that Buzz is only a toy, but Buzz
- 10:32refuses to accept [music] the
- 10:33explanation.
- 10:35He genuinely believes that he is a Space
- 10:37Ranger and that his equipment is real.
- 10:40When he sees the other toys talking
- 10:42about Andy and their lives as toys,
- 10:44[music]
- 10:45he assumes they are simply unfamiliar
- 10:47with the technology of his world. Woody
- 10:49becomes frustrated because he cannot
- 10:51convince Buzz of the truth. And the more
- 10:54Buzz talks about his supposed mission,
- 10:56>> [music]
- 10:57>> the more Woody feels that his position
- 10:59as leader is being challenged. Andy,
- 11:01meanwhile, becomes completely fascinated
- 11:02[music]
- 11:03with his new toy. He carries Buzz
- 11:05everywhere, plays with him constantly,
- 11:08and begins choosing him for adventures
- 11:10that Woody used to enjoy.
- 11:13Woody watches from the side as Andy's
- 11:15attention slowly [music] shifts away
- 11:16from him.
- 11:18The cowboy tries to convince himself
- 11:20that this is only temporary, but deep
- 11:23down he is [music] terrified. For years,
- 11:26Woody has been the most important toy in
- 11:28Andy's life, and suddenly he is watching
- 11:30someone [music] else receive the
- 11:32attention that once belonged to him. The
- 11:34other toys notice Woody's [music]
- 11:36jealousy. Slinky tries to support him
- 11:39while the rest of the group is more
- 11:41interested in Buzz's [music] exciting
- 11:43personality.
- 11:44Woody attempts to maintain his authority
- 11:46as leader, but Buzz does not see him as
- 11:49a superior.
- 11:50>> [music]
- 11:50>> Instead, Buzz behaves as though Woody is
- 11:53simply another member of a crew. This
- 11:55makes Woody [music] feel even more
- 11:57insignificant because he is used to
- 11:59being the one everyone listens to. Buzz
- 12:01begins showing off some of his special
- 12:03[music] features. His helmet opens and
- 12:06closes, his wings extend from his back,
- 12:09and his laser-like equipment makes the
- 12:11other toys even more impressed. [music]
- 12:13Woody becomes especially annoyed when
- 12:15Buzz starts talking about flying.
- 12:18Woody sarcastically challenges him to
- 12:20prove that he can actually [music] fly,
- 12:22expecting Buzz to embarrass himself.
- 12:25Instead, Buzz launches himself into an
- 12:27impressive series of movements around
- 12:29the room. He bounces [music] from one
- 12:31surface to another and manages to land
- 12:33safely, making the other toys cheer.
- 12:36>> [music]
- 12:36>> To them, it looks like Buzz has truly
- 12:39flown.
- 12:40Woody is stunned and frustrated at the
- 12:42same [music] time. Buzz's confidence has
- 12:44made him even more popular, and Woody
- 12:47begins feeling as though [music] he is
- 12:48losing control of the situation. The
- 12:51problem becomes worse because Buzz does
- 12:53not understand why Woody is upset. Buzz
- 12:56thinks Woody [music] is simply insecure
- 12:58and perhaps confused by the advanced
- 13:00abilities of a space ranger. He
- 13:03continues speaking confidently about his
- 13:05mission, his spaceship, and his duty to
- 13:07protect the galaxy. Woody finally loses
- 13:10patience and tries again to explain that
- 13:12Buzz is a toy belonging to Andy. Buzz
- 13:15refuses to listen. As the days pass,
- 13:18Andy becomes even more attached to Buzz.
- 13:21>> [music]
- 13:21>> Woody notices that Andy takes Buzz along
- 13:23whenever he leaves the house, while
- 13:25Woody is increasingly left behind. the
- 13:28cowboy's fear of being forgotten becomes
- 13:30stronger and he starts thinking less
- 13:32about being a good leader and more about
- 13:34removing Buzz from his life. His
- 13:36jealousy begins clouding his judgement.
- 13:39The toys also learn that Andy's family
- 13:41is preparing to move. This creates
- 13:43another problem because moving day means
- 13:46everything in the house will be packed
- 13:47into boxes. The toys know that they need
- 13:50to stay together and make sure they are
- 13:52not accidentally lost. Woody tries to
- 13:55organize everyone but Buzz's presence
- 13:57continues distracting him.
- 13:59Woody's frustration eventually reaches a
- 14:01dangerous level.
- 14:02>> [music]
- 14:03>> He sees Buzz as the reason Andy is no
- 14:05longer paying attention to him and
- 14:07begins looking for a way to get his
- 14:09rival out of the way.
- 14:10>> [music]
- 14:11>> His intentions are selfish but Woody
- 14:13does not fully understand how serious
- 14:15the consequences could become.
- 14:17>> [music]
- 14:17>> He convinces himself that if Buzz is no
- 14:19longer around, everything will return to
- 14:22the way it was before. Then an
- 14:24opportunity appears. Woody attempts to
- 14:27move Buzz away from the window hoping to
- 14:29send him somewhere where Andy will not
- 14:31find him. But the plan goes wrong and
- 14:34Buzz falls outside. The other toys
- 14:37immediately panic. [music] They believe
- 14:39Woody deliberately pushed Buzz and they
- 14:41are furious with him. Woody insists that
- 14:44the situation was an accident but nobody
- 14:47is willing to trust him.
- 14:48>> [music]
- 14:49>> Woody suddenly realizes what he has
- 14:51done. He did not simply create a
- 14:53rivalry. He may have [music] put another
- 14:55toy in real danger. When Andy enters the
- 14:58room, he notices that Buzz is missing.
- 15:01Because the family is preparing to
- 15:02leave, there is very little time to find
- 15:05him. Andy eventually [music] chooses
- 15:07Woody to accompany him giving Woody the
- 15:10chance to return to his side. For a
- 15:12brief moment, [music] Woody thinks he
- 15:14has regained his place but then Buzz
- 15:17appears. The space ranger has somehow
- 15:19managed to follow them and before Woody
- 15:22can stop him, Buzz climbs into the
- 15:24family car. Woody realizes that his
- 15:27problem has not disappeared. Instead,
- 15:30his actions have created a much bigger
- 15:32situation.
- 15:33>> [music]
- 15:33>> Now, both Woody and Buzz are away from
- 15:35the safety of Andy's bedroom, surrounded
- 15:38by a world filled with humans, cars, and
- 15:40dangers they have never faced before.
- 15:43>> [music]
- 15:43>> And this time, they will have to find a
- 15:45way to survive together. Woody and Buzz
- 15:48are suddenly separated from the safety
- 15:50of Andy's [music] bedroom and find
- 15:52themselves in a completely unfamiliar
- 15:55world.
- 15:56Woody's jealousy has brought them into a
- 15:58situation neither of them expected,
- 16:00[music] and now they have only one goal:
- 16:03find their way back to Andy before the
- 16:06family leaves for their new [music]
- 16:07home.
- 16:09Buzz, however, still believes that he is
- 16:12a real space ranger and sees the entire
- 16:15situation as another part of his
- 16:17mission.
- 16:18Woody tries to explain what happened,
- 16:20but Buzz remains convinced that
- 16:22something much bigger is going on.
- 16:25Their constant arguments make the
- 16:26journey [music] even more difficult
- 16:29because they have to work together while
- 16:31still blaming each other for their
- 16:33problems. After being separated from
- 16:35Andy's family, [music] Woody realizes
- 16:37how quickly things can go wrong outside
- 16:39the bedroom. The world around them is
- 16:42filled with humans, [music] vehicles,
- 16:44and unfamiliar objects that could easily
- 16:46damage or destroy a small toy. Woody
- 16:49understands [music] that they cannot
- 16:50simply walk around openly, so he
- 16:52carefully searches for a way to follow
- 16:54Andy. [music]
- 16:55Buzz is less concerned because he
- 16:57believes his training as a space ranger
- 16:59will protect them.
- 17:00>> [music]
- 17:00>> Woody becomes frustrated with Buzz's
- 17:02confidence, but underneath his
- 17:04irritation, he knows that Buzz's
- 17:06abilities could actually [music] help
- 17:08them survive. The two eventually make
- 17:10their way toward a busy roadside area
- 17:13hoping to find a way back to Andy. Woody
- 17:15spots the moving vehicle carrying Andy's
- 17:18belongings [music]
- 17:19and realizes that they are running out
- 17:21of time. If they cannot catch up with
- 17:23the family soon, [music]
- 17:24Andy could arrive at the new house
- 17:26without them.
- 17:28Woody's fear becomes stronger [music]
- 17:29because he knows what it would mean to
- 17:31be separated from Andy. For years, Andy
- 17:34has been [music] the center of his world
- 17:36and Woody cannot imagine simply being
- 17:38left behind. Their search eventually
- 17:40leads [music] them to a pizza delivery
- 17:41vehicle. Woody sees it as their best
- 17:44chance to get [music] closer to Andy's
- 17:46family, but Buzz interprets the
- 17:48situation differently. He believes the
- 17:50vehicle may provide transportation
- 17:52[music] connected to his supposed
- 17:53mission.
- 17:54The two climb aboard, but their argument
- 17:57continues as they try to figure out
- 17:59where they are going. Woody is focused
- 18:01entirely on getting home, while Buzz is
- 18:03still trying to understand [music]
- 18:05why he has been separated from his
- 18:07mission. Eventually, they arrive at a
- 18:09large family entertainment center filled
- 18:12with games, [music] lights, and people.
- 18:14Woody realizes that they have reached a
- 18:16place where Andy's family might also be
- 18:18nearby. [music]
- 18:20The environment is overwhelming and both
- 18:22toys have to remain careful because one
- 18:24wrong move could expose them to humans.
- 18:26>> [music]
- 18:27>> They hide whenever people come close and
- 18:29move only when it is safe.
- 18:31For Woody,
- 18:32>> [music]
- 18:32>> every second matters because the moving
- 18:34truck will not wait for them. Buzz,
- 18:36meanwhile, becomes [music] fascinated by
- 18:38the unfamiliar technology around him. He
- 18:41sees machines, lights, and [music]
- 18:42displays and believes they may have
- 18:44something to do with his space mission.
- 18:47Woody has to keep pulling him back
- 18:48[music] toward their actual goal. Their
- 18:50different personalities continue causing
- 18:52problems, but their situation slowly
- 18:55forces them to rely on one another.
- 18:57Woody may not trust Buzz completely, but
- 19:00he begins recognizing that Buzz is
- 19:01capable of helping them. Their journey
- 19:03takes another unexpected turn
- 19:05>> [music]
- 19:05>> when they encounter a group of other
- 19:07toys. Instead of being welcomed as
- 19:09friends, Woody and Buzz find themselves
- 19:12caught in a situation where they cannot
- 19:13easily [music] escape. Woody attempts to
- 19:16keep Buzz moving, but Buzz's curiosity
- 19:18repeatedly puts them in danger. Every
- 19:21time Woody tries to control the
- 19:22situation, Buzz does something
- 19:24unpredictable. Eventually, Buzz comes
- 19:28across something that changes
- 19:29everything. He sees a television
- 19:31advertisement featuring other Buzz
- 19:33Lightyear action figures. The commercial
- 19:36shows the exact same character, the same
- 19:38uniform, and the same equipment. [music]
- 19:41Buzz watches in disbelief as he realizes
- 19:43that he is not unique. If there are
- 19:45hundreds of identical figures being sold
- 19:47in stores, then perhaps Woody has been
- 19:50telling the truth all along.
- 19:52The discovery shakes Buzz deeply. For
- 19:54the first time, he begins questioning
- 19:56his entire identity. His belief that he
- 19:59is a real space ranger has always been
- 20:01the foundation of his confidence. He
- 20:04thought he was specially chosen for a
- 20:06mission, but now he sees that he may
- 20:08simply be one toy among many. The
- 20:11realization leaves him confused and
- 20:13heartbroken.
- 20:14Buzz begins wondering what his purpose
- 20:16could possibly be if he is not the hero
- 20:18he believed himself to be.
- 20:21Woody notices the change immediately.
- 20:23The confident Buzz, who once spoke
- 20:25proudly about space missions, suddenly
- 20:28becomes quiet and uncertain.
- 20:30>> [music]
- 20:30>> Instead of feeling satisfied that his
- 20:32rival has finally been proven wrong,
- 20:34Woody starts feeling sympathy for him.
- 20:37Woody understands what it means to fear
- 20:39losing the person who gives your life
- 20:40meaning. In a strange [music] way,
- 20:43Buzz's crisis mirrors Woody's own fear
- 20:45of being replaced by a new favorite toy.
- 20:47[music] Woody tries to encourage Buzz,
- 20:50but his words do not immediately help.
- 20:52Buzz has spent his entire existence
- 20:55believing that he was a real space
- 20:57ranger, and accepting that he is a toy
- 21:00[music] means rebuilding his entire
- 21:02understanding of himself.
- 21:04Woody begins realizing that being a toy
- 21:07is not something shameful. Their purpose
- 21:10may be different from what Buzz
- 21:12imagined, but they still have someone
- 21:15who loves them.
- 21:16Before the two can fully resolve their
- 21:18differences, they encounter another
- 21:20serious problem. Their journey brings
- 21:23them into the path of a boy named Sid,
- 21:26>> [music]
- 21:26>> a child notorious for taking toys apart
- 21:29and creating strange experiments with
- 21:31them.
- 21:32>> [music]
- 21:32>> Woody immediately recognizes the danger.
- 21:35Sid does not treat toys with the same
- 21:37love Andy does. To him, toys are objects
- 21:41he can destroy simply for entertainment.
- 21:44Sid takes Woody and Buzz away from the
- 21:46safe world they know and brings them
- 21:49into his bedroom.
- 21:50The room is filled [music] with strange
- 21:52creations and damaged toys, making it
- 21:54feel like a nightmare from the
- 21:56perspective of Woody and Buzz.
- 21:58Woody looks around and realizes that
- 22:00they are trapped in the home of someone
- 22:02who could destroy them without ever
- 22:04knowing that they are alive.
- 22:06Buzz is still struggling with his
- 22:07identity, but now he has an even more
- 22:10immediate problem, survival.
- 22:13Woody tries to find a way out, but Sid's
- 22:15room is carefully guarded by his
- 22:17unpredictable behavior.
- 22:19The two toys cannot simply run for the
- 22:21door whenever they want because humans
- 22:23could see them. They have to wait for
- 22:25the right moment, and every second they
- 22:27spend inside Sid's room brings them
- 22:30closer to danger. As Woody studies the
- 22:32strange toys around him, he begins
- 22:34[music] noticing something important.
- 22:37These toys may look frightening because
- 22:39Sid has changed them, but they are still
- 22:41living toys just like him and Buzz.
- 22:44Perhaps they understand Sid better than
- 22:46anyone else. Woody starts thinking about
- 22:48a plan. For the first time, he is no
- 22:51longer trying to defeat Buzz or protect
- 22:53his position as Andy's favorite. His
- 22:55only concern is getting both of them out
- 22:57of Sid's house and back to Andy. And as
- 23:00Sid prepares to carry out another
- 23:02experiment, Woody realizes that their
- 23:04escape will require something they have
- 23:06never truly used before, [music]
- 23:08complete trust in one another. Inside
- 23:10Sid's bedroom, Woody and Buzz realize
- 23:13that they have landed in a nightmare.
- 23:15The room is filled with toys that have
- 23:17been damaged, rebuilt, and combined
- 23:19[music] into strange shapes by Sid, a
- 23:22child who enjoys experimenting on his
- 23:24toys [music] without understanding that
- 23:26they are alive.
- 23:27Woody immediately knows that they cannot
- 23:29stay there for long, especially [music]
- 23:31after seeing how Sid treats the toys
- 23:33around him.
- 23:34Buzz, however, is still struggling with
- 23:36the truth about [music] himself.
- 23:38After discovering that there are
- 23:40countless Buzz Lightyear figures being
- 23:42sold in stores, his confidence has
- 23:44collapsed. [music]
- 23:45The identity he once believed was unique
- 23:48to him now seems meaningless,
- 23:50>> [music]
- 23:50>> and he begins questioning whether
- 23:52anything about his supposed space ranger
- 23:54mission was ever real.
- 23:56Woody sees that Buzz is no longer the
- 23:58confident rival [music]
- 23:59who once annoyed him, and for the first
- 24:01time, he feels genuine concern for him
- 24:04rather than jealousy. Woody tries
- 24:06[music] to explain that being a toy does
- 24:08not mean Buzz has failed. He reminds him
- 24:10that Andy chose him because he brought
- 24:12[music] happiness into his life, just as
- 24:14Woody had done for years.
- 24:17Buzz initially struggles [music] to
- 24:18understand this because he has always
- 24:20believed that his purpose was to protect
- 24:22the galaxy and complete a heroic
- 24:24mission.
- 24:25>> [music]
- 24:25>> Accepting that he is actually a toy
- 24:27means accepting that the world he
- 24:29imagined was completely different from
- 24:31[music] reality.
- 24:32Woody slowly realizes that his own fear
- 24:35of being replaced is similar to what
- 24:37Buzz is experiencing. [music]
- 24:39Woody was terrified that Andy would
- 24:41forget him when Buzz arrived, while Buzz
- 24:43is terrified that he has no purpose now
- 24:45that he knows the truth. [music]
- 24:47The two begin to understand each other
- 24:49in a way they never could when they were
- 24:51rivals. Their situation becomes even
- 24:53[music] more dangerous when Sid returns
- 24:55home and decides that Buzz will be his
- 24:57next experiment. [music]
- 24:58Woody watches helplessly as Sid carries
- 25:01Buzz away and the cowboy immediately
- 25:03understands [music] that they cannot
- 25:04wait any longer. If Buzz remains in
- 25:06Sid's hands, he could be destroyed
- 25:08before they ever get another chance to
- 25:10escape. Woody begins looking around the
- 25:12bedroom for [music] anything that might
- 25:13help them and his attention turns toward
- 25:16the strange collection of toys that Sid
- 25:18has modified. [music] At first, they
- 25:20appear frightening with unusual
- 25:22combinations of different toy parts, but
- 25:24Woody eventually realizes that they are
- 25:26not monsters at all. They are living
- 25:28toys just like him and [music] Buzz.
- 25:30They have simply been forced to survive
- 25:31Sid's experiments and they may know more
- 25:34about his habits than anyone [music]
- 25:35else. Woody begins communicating with
- 25:37the toys and discovers that they are
- 25:39willing to help. This becomes an
- 25:41important moment because Woody finally
- 25:43starts behaving like the leader he
- 25:44always claimed to be. Instead of trying
- 25:47to control everyone because he wants to
- 25:49remain important, [music]
- 25:50he begins organizing the toys because
- 25:52their survival depends on teamwork.
- 25:55The other toys understand what Sid is
- 25:57capable of and [music] help Woody figure
- 25:59out how they can move around without
- 26:00being noticed. Woody realizes that Sid
- 26:03believes his toys are completely
- 26:05powerless
- 26:06>> [music]
- 26:06>> and that gives them an advantage. If
- 26:08they can make Sid believe that his toys
- 26:10are capable of moving on their own,
- 26:13perhaps they [music] can frighten him
- 26:14enough to stop his experiments forever.
- 26:16While Woody prepares the plan, Buzz is
- 26:18taken outside by Sid. He is placed in a
- 26:21dangerous position [music]
- 26:22and Sid prepares to carry out another
- 26:24experiment on him.
- 26:26Buzz is still mentally exhausted [music]
- 26:28and does not know how to respond.
- 26:30The proud space ranger who once believed
- 26:32he could defeat any enemy now feels
- 26:34completely helpless. Woody desperately
- 26:37tries to reach him and reminds him that
- 26:38he is not alone.
- 26:40Buzz finally begins to understand that
- 26:42his value does not come from being a
- 26:44real space ranger.
- 26:46He has already become important to Woody
- 26:48and the other toys simply by being their
- 26:50friend.
- 26:51That realization slowly brings back the
- 26:53courage he thought he had lost. Woody
- 26:55and the other toys then put their plan
- 26:57into action. They move in ways Sid could
- 26:59never expect, appearing suddenly and
- 27:01disappearing before he can understand
- 27:03what is happening. Sid begins becoming
- 27:05increasingly frightened as the toys he
- 27:07thought were lifeless objects suddenly
- 27:09seem to have a mind of their own. Woody
- 27:11makes sure the toys remain hidden
- 27:12whenever adults are nearby, but when Sid
- 27:15is alone, they continue their terrifying
- 27:17performance. The message becomes clear.
- 27:19The toys are alive and Sid should never
- 27:21have treated them the way he did. The
- 27:23frightened look on Sid's face shows that
- 27:24the boy finally understands that his
- 27:26[music] actions have consequences, even
- 27:28though he has no idea how the toys are
- 27:30actually moving. The plan works. Sid is
- 27:33terrified enough to run away, [music]
- 27:35leaving Woody and Buzz with the freedom
- 27:37they desperately needed.
- 27:39Buzz has also changed during the
- 27:41experience. [music]
- 27:42He no longer sees himself as a superior
- 27:44space ranger, and he no longer treats
- 27:47Woody [music] as an obstacle.
- 27:49Instead, he recognizes Woody as the
- 27:51friend who refused to abandon him when
- 27:54he was at his lowest point.
- 27:56Woody, in turn, realizes that his former
- 27:59rival has become someone he genuinely
- 28:01cares about.
- 28:02Their rivalry has finally disappeared,
- 28:05replaced by [music] trust and loyalty.
- 28:07But, there is still one enormous
- 28:09problem. Andy's family is moving and the
- 28:12moving truck is preparing to leave.
- 28:14Woody and Buzz have only a short amount
- 28:16of time to reach Andy before [music] he
- 28:19and his belongings disappear down the
- 28:20road.
- 28:21They rush out of Sid's house and search
- 28:24for a way to catch up with the moving
- 28:26vehicle.
- 28:27The world outside is still dangerous,
- 28:28[music]
- 28:29but now they have something they did not
- 28:31have before, complete confidence in each
- 28:34other.
- 28:35Woody no longer sees Buzz as
- 28:37competition,
- 28:38>> [music]
- 28:38>> and Buzz no longer sees Woody as an
- 28:40enemy.
- 28:41They are finally working together toward
- 28:43the same goal. As the moving truck
- 28:45begins pulling away, [music] Woody looks
- 28:47toward Andy and realizes that they
- 28:49cannot afford to lose him now.
- 28:51Buzz is beside him, ready to help, and
- 28:54the two toys prepare themselves for one
- 28:56final race.
- 28:57They have survived Andy's bedroom, their
- 28:59rivalry, being separated from home, and
- 29:02Sid's terrifying experiments.
- 29:04>> [music]
- 29:04>> Now they must cross the dangerous
- 29:06distance between them and the moving
- 29:07truck before it is too late.
- 29:10Their friendship has been forged through
- 29:11everything they have endured, and the
- 29:13journey back to Andy will test just how
- 29:15strong that friendship has become.
- 29:17[music] Woody and Buzz rush away from
- 29:19Sid's house, knowing that every second
- 29:21matters. In the distance, Andy's moving
- 29:23truck is already beginning to pull away,
- 29:25carrying the family's belongings toward
- 29:27their new home. Woody looks at the truck
- 29:29and realizes that this may be their last
- 29:32opportunity to return to Andy.
- 29:34After everything that happened, the
- 29:36thought of being left behind is
- 29:38terrifying, but Woody refuses to give
- 29:40up. Buzz is beside him now,
- 29:42>> [music]
- 29:43>> and for the first time, their goal is
- 29:45exactly the same. They need to catch
- 29:47Andy,
- 29:48>> [music]
- 29:48>> and they need to do it before the moving
- 29:50truck disappears. The two toys begin
- 29:52running after the vehicle, but the
- 29:54distance between them and the truck is
- 29:56enormous.
- 29:58Woody tries [music] to think of a way to
- 29:59get closer, while Buzz uses his
- 30:02confidence and quick thinking to help.
- 30:05They move through the streets, avoiding
- 30:07people and vehicles that could easily
- 30:09crush them.
- 30:10Their small size [music] makes the
- 30:11journey extremely difficult, but they
- 30:14refuse to stop.
- 30:15Woody knows Andy will soon be gone,
- 30:17[music] and Buzz understands that
- 30:19returning to Andy is now more important
- 30:22than proving he is a space ranger. As
- 30:24[music] they continue their desperate
- 30:25chase, Woody realizes that their biggest
- 30:27advantage is Buzz's equipment. The same
- 30:30[music] wings and gadgets that once made
- 30:32Woody jealous can now help them reach
- 30:35the moving truck.
- 30:36Buzz prepares himself to use his
- 30:38abilities, but neither of them knows
- 30:40whether the plan will actually work.
- 30:42[music]
- 30:43They have already survived situations
- 30:45that seemed impossible, and now [music]
- 30:47they have to take another enormous risk.
- 30:50Woody encourages Buzz to trust himself,
- 30:52>> [music]
- 30:52>> reminding him that he does not need to
- 30:54be a real space ranger to do something
- 30:56extraordinary.
- 30:57>> [music]
- 30:57>> The two finally find a way to get closer
- 31:00to the truck,
- 31:01but their problems are far from over.
- 31:04The moving vehicle continues increasing
- 31:06the distance [music] between them, and
- 31:08Woody begins worrying that they may
- 31:10never catch up. He [music] watches
- 31:11Andy's belongings disappear farther down
- 31:14the road, and understands that if they
- 31:16fail, everything [music] they have
- 31:18fought for will be lost. Buzz notices
- 31:21Woody's fear, and reminds him that they
- 31:23are still together.
- 31:25Their friendship has become the one
- 31:26thing keeping them moving forward. The
- 31:29chase [music] becomes more dangerous
- 31:30when they are forced to move through
- 31:32traffic. Cars pass around them, and
- 31:34every moment brings another potential
- 31:36obstacle. Woody carefully [music]
- 31:37watches for an opportunity while Buzz
- 31:39prepares to make his move. The cowboy
- 31:41understands that their survival depends
- 31:43on timing. One mistake [music] could
- 31:45separate them permanently, but waiting
- 31:47too long would guarantee that Andy gets
- 31:49away. Finally, Buzz uses his equipment
- 31:52to help them [music] launch themselves
- 31:53toward the moving vehicle. For a moment,
- 31:56it appears that their plan might
- 31:57actually work. Woody and Buzz move
- 32:00through the air, desperately trying
- 32:01[music] to reach the truck.
- 32:03Woody is amazed by how far they have
- 32:05come. Not long ago, he was trying to get
- 32:08rid of Buzz because he was afraid of
- 32:10losing Andy's attention. [music]
- 32:11Now, he is trusting Buzz with their
- 32:13lives.
- 32:14Their relationship has completely
- 32:16changed, but the journey becomes even
- 32:18more difficult when the toys are thrown
- 32:20[music] off course.
- 32:21Woody and Buzz lose their connection
- 32:23with the moving truck, and find
- 32:25themselves in an increasingly dangerous
- 32:27situation.
- 32:28Woody refuses to abandon Buzz, even
- 32:31though continuing together may make
- 32:33their escape [music] harder. He knows
- 32:35that leaving Buzz behind would mean
- 32:37betraying the friend who helped him when
- 32:38he was [music] trapped at Sid's house.
- 32:40Buzz also proves that he is willing to
- 32:42risk himself for Woody.
- 32:44The two work together using every
- 32:47opportunity they can find to move closer
- 32:49to Andy.
- 32:50Their teamwork is no longer based on
- 32:52necessity alone.
- 32:54>> [music]
- 32:54>> They genuinely trust one another now.
- 32:57Woody understands Buzz's [music]
- 32:58strengths, and Buzz understands Woody's
- 33:01ability to think quickly and keep them
- 33:03focused. As the moving truck continues
- 33:05down the road, Woody spots another
- 33:07opportunity. He realizes that they may
- 33:10be able to use the road and the traffic
- 33:12around them to gain enough [music] speed
- 33:14to catch up. The plan is risky, but they
- 33:17have no better choice.
- 33:18Buzz prepares himself, Woody holds on
- 33:20tightly, and the two toys launch
- 33:23themselves forward once again. For a
- 33:25moment, everything seems to be working.
- 33:27They move closer to the truck, and Woody
- 33:29can finally see Andy's belongings ahead
- 33:31of them.
- 33:32But just as they believe they are almost
- 33:34safe, another obstacle appears.
- 33:36Their journey has been filled with
- 33:37unexpected dangers, and the final
- 33:40stretch proves to be just as difficult
- 33:42as everything that came before. Woody
- 33:44and Buzz refuse to give up. They
- 33:46continue pushing themselves forward,
- 33:48knowing that Andy is waiting somewhere
- 33:49ahead. Their friendship gives them the
- 33:52courage to keep trying even when the
- 33:54odds seem impossible.
- 33:55>> [music]
- 33:56>> Woody no longer cares about being Andy's
- 33:58only favorite toy. He simply wants to be
- 34:00there for Andy, and he wants [music]
- 34:02Buzz to be there, too. The moving truck
- 34:04disappears farther down the road, but
- 34:06Woody and Buzz continue their desperate
- 34:08pursuit.
- 34:10Their adventure has transformed them
- 34:11completely.
- 34:13Woody has learned that friendship is
- 34:14more important than jealousy, while Buzz
- 34:17has learned that being a toy does not
- 34:19make him insignificant.
- 34:21>> [music]
- 34:21>> Together, they are ready to take one
- 34:23final chance to reach Andy.
- 34:25And just when they believe they may
- 34:27[music] finally make it back home, an
- 34:29unexpected new challenge puts their
- 34:31entire plan in danger. Woody and Buzz
- 34:33continue their desperate attempt to
- 34:35catch Andy's moving truck, but the
- 34:38situation quickly becomes more dangerous
- 34:40than either of them expected. They have
- 34:43already escaped Sid's house and survived
- 34:46a long journey through an unfamiliar
- 34:48world. Yet, the final distance between
- 34:51them and Andy seems almost impossible to
- 34:54cross.
- 34:55Woody keeps his eyes on the moving
- 34:57truck, knowing that once it reaches the
- 34:59new house, finding Andy could become
- 35:02much harder.
- 35:03Buzz stays close beside him, ready to
- 35:05help however he can. And their new
- 35:08friendship gives them the determination
- 35:10to [music] keep moving even when
- 35:12everything appears to be going against
- 35:15them. As the truck moves farther away,
- 35:17Woody begins searching for another way
- 35:19to reach it. He realizes that simply
- 35:22running behind the vehicle will never be
- 35:24enough. They need speed, and they need
- 35:27something that can carry them through
- 35:28the air. Buzz's wings immediately become
- 35:31important, but Buzz has already learned
- 35:33that they do not actually make him a
- 35:35real space ranger. Instead of being
- 35:37disappointed, he now sees them as tools
- 35:40that can still help him. Woody
- 35:42encourages him to use everything he has,
- 35:45>> [music]
- 35:45>> and Buzz prepares for another risky
- 35:47attempt to reach Andy. The two toys
- 35:49eventually find a way to gain enough
- 35:51[music] speed, but their plan requires
- 35:54them to take a dangerous leap.
- 35:56Woody holds tightly to Buzz as they
- 35:59launch them-
- 36:01hoping they can reach the moving truck
- 36:03before it gets too far away.
- 36:06For a brief moment, they seem to be
- 36:08flying directly toward their
- 36:09destination.
- 36:11Woody watches the truck getting closer
- 36:14and begins believing that they may
- 36:15actually succeed.
- 36:17Buzz is equally determined, using his
- 36:20wings and equipment to guide their
- 36:22movement while Woody focuses on keeping
- 36:24them together. But the situation changes
- 36:26suddenly when their momentum carries
- 36:28them away [music] from the path they
- 36:30planned. Instead of landing safely
- 36:32inside the moving truck, Woody and Buzz
- 36:34are thrown into another dangerous
- 36:36situation.
- 36:36>> [music]
- 36:37>> Woody refuses to let go of Buzz, even
- 36:39though doing so might make his own
- 36:41escape easier. Earlier in the story,
- 36:43Woody would have been willing to
- 36:44sacrifice Buzz simply to protect his
- 36:47position with Andy. Now, [music] he
- 36:48instinctively protects him, proving how
- 36:51completely their relationship has
- 36:52changed. Buzz also refuses to abandon
- 36:55Woody. [music]
- 36:56The two work together to recover from
- 36:58the failed attempt
- 36:59>> [music]
- 36:59>> and search for another opportunity.
- 37:02Their teamwork is much stronger now
- 37:04because they have stopped competing with
- 37:06each [music] other.
- 37:08Woody trusts Buzz's abilities, while
- 37:10Buzz trusts Woody's judgment. [music]
- 37:13Every decision they make is based on the
- 37:15understanding that neither of them can
- 37:17succeed alone. Their [music] friendship
- 37:20has become the key to surviving the
- 37:22journey back to Andy. Eventually, they
- 37:24find themselves [music]
- 37:25near a large toy store and realize that
- 37:27another opportunity may be [music]
- 37:29waiting for them.
- 37:30Woody remembers that Buzz originally
- 37:32arrived in a box from a store just like
- 37:35this,
- 37:36and the place is filled with objects
- 37:37that might help [music] them. They move
- 37:39carefully through the area, avoiding
- 37:42humans and searching [music] for a way
- 37:43to get closer to Andy.
- 37:45Woody is still worried about the moving
- 37:47truck,
- 37:48>> [music]
- 37:48>> but he refuses to panic. He knows that
- 37:51they have already overcome worse
- 37:52situations [music] together. Buzz begins
- 37:54to understand something important about
- 37:56himself.
- 37:58Although he is not a real space ranger,
- 38:00he still possesses courage,
- 38:02determination, [music]
- 38:03and the ability to inspire others.
- 38:06His identity does not have to depend on
- 38:08the mission he once [music] believed he
- 38:09had.
- 38:11He can be a toy and still be brave.
- 38:13He can be ordinary in one sense, while
- 38:15being extraordinary to Andy.
- 38:18This realization gives Buzz a new
- 38:20confidence, but this time it is not
- 38:23based on a false belief. [music] It
- 38:24comes from understanding who he really
- 38:26is. Woody also changes in an important
- 38:29way. His [music] fear of losing Andy's
- 38:31love has disappeared because he has
- 38:33learned that [music] friendship is not a
- 38:35competition.
- 38:36Andy can love more than one toy, and
- 38:39Woody does not become less important
- 38:41simply because Buzz is there.
- 38:43Instead of seeing Buzz as someone
- 38:45[music] who took his place, Woody now
- 38:47sees him as someone who can share Andy's
- 38:49[music] world with him.
- 38:51The two have gone from enemies to
- 38:53trusted friends, and Woody finally
- 38:55understands that being a leader means
- 38:57protecting the people around him rather
- 38:59than protecting his own position. Their
- 39:01journey eventually brings them closer to
- 39:03the moving truck again. Woody notices
- 39:06Andy's belongings being loaded and
- 39:08realizes that they are approaching their
- 39:10final [music] chance to get home. The
- 39:12truck is moving, the streets are
- 39:14crowded, and the toys have only moments
- 39:17to make their [music] move. Woody and
- 39:18Buzz prepare themselves once more,
- 39:21knowing that failure could leave them
- 39:22separated from Andy forever. [music]
- 39:24They manage to get close enough to the
- 39:26vehicle to make another attempt. But
- 39:28just as they think they are safe,
- 39:29[music] the situation takes another
- 39:31unexpected turn.
- 39:33Their route is blocked, forcing them to
- 39:35improvise once again.
- 39:36Woody quickly thinks of a new plan, and
- 39:39Buzz follows without hesitation.
- 39:40>> [music]
- 39:41>> This is completely different from the
- 39:42beginning of their relationship when
- 39:44neither trusted the other.
- 39:46Now Buzz does not question Woody's
- 39:48[music] decisions, and Woody does not
- 39:50doubt Buzz's ability to help. The two
- 39:52toys finally [music] find a way to reach
- 39:54the moving vehicle, but the journey has
- 39:57exhausted them. They have been chased,
- 39:59captured, separated from Andy, trapped
- 40:02by Sid, and forced to travel through a
- 40:04world that was never designed for toys.
- 40:07Yet neither one gives up because they
- 40:09know what is waiting for them at the
- 40:11end. Andy's bedroom, their friends, and
- 40:14the life they thought they had lost. As
- 40:16they move closer to the truck, Woody
- 40:18looks at Buzz and realizes how strange
- 40:21their journey has been.
- 40:22Buzz arrived as a rival who threatened
- 40:24everything Woody cared about, but now he
- 40:27has become the friend Woody trusts most.
- 40:30Buzz has also learned that his greatest
- 40:31adventure was never about traveling
- 40:33through space. His greatest adventure
- 40:36has been discovering friendship,
- 40:37loyalty, and the meaning of being loved
- 40:40by a child. With the moving truck still
- 40:42moving toward Andy's new home, Woody and
- 40:45Buzz prepare for one final push.
- 40:48They are exhausted, but they are
- 40:49together, and that gives them hope.
- 40:52The journey that began with jealousy has
- 40:54transformed into a story of friendship,
- 40:57and now their biggest challenge is
- 40:59making sure that friendship gets them
- 41:00[music] safely home. Woody and Buzz
- 41:02finally manage to get close to Andy's
- 41:05moving truck, but their journey is still
- 41:07not over. They have been through Sid's
- 41:09house, [music]
- 41:10escaped countless dangers, and crossed
- 41:12the unfamiliar world outside Andy's
- 41:15bedroom. Yet, getting back to the moving
- 41:17truck proves to be one of their most
- 41:19difficult challenges. Woody keeps
- 41:21reminding himself that Andy is waiting
- 41:23ahead,
- 41:23>> [music]
- 41:23>> and that thought gives him the strength
- 41:25to continue.
- 41:26Buzz, who once believed that he was a
- 41:29powerful space ranger capable of
- 41:30handling any mission alone, now
- 41:33understands that the only reason they
- 41:34have come this far
- 41:36>> [music]
- 41:36>> is because they have learned to depend
- 41:37on each other.
- 41:39Their friendship has completely changed
- 41:41the way they approach danger, and
- 41:42instead of arguing over who is more
- 41:44important, they now concentrate on
- 41:47finding a solution together. As they
- 41:49move alongside the road, Woody carefully
- 41:51watches the truck and tries to calculate
- 41:53the safest way to reach it.
- 41:56Buzz suggests using his wings, but Woody
- 41:58knows that they cannot simply fly
- 42:00directly toward the vehicle because
- 42:03there are too many obstacles in their
- 42:04path.
- 42:05They need something that can give them
- 42:07speed while also keeping them close
- 42:09enough to the truck.
- 42:11The two toys search for anything they
- 42:13can use, and Woody's [music] quick
- 42:15thinking eventually gives them another
- 42:17opportunity.
- 42:18Even though their journey has been
- 42:20exhausting, Woody refuses to stop. He
- 42:23remembers the moment when Buzz first
- 42:25arrived [music] and how angry he was
- 42:27about losing Andy's attention.
- 42:30Now he realizes how foolish that
- 42:32jealousy was because the toy he once
- 42:34wanted to remove from his life has
- 42:36become the one person he trusts most.
- 42:38[music]
- 42:39Buzz also begins looking at Woody
- 42:41differently. In the beginning, he
- 42:43thought Woody was simply a jealous
- 42:44cowboy who was interfering with his
- 42:47mission.
- 42:48But after being trapped by Sid and
- 42:50losing confidence in himself, Buzz
- 42:52discovered that Woody was willing to
- 42:54risk everything to save him. That
- 42:56changed Buzz's understanding of
- 42:58friendship. He now knows that Woody is
- 43:00not trying to compete with him. Woody
- 43:02simply wants to protect Andy and the
- 43:04toys he cares about. Buzz promises to
- 43:07help Woody return home, and the two
- 43:09continue forward with a level of trust
- 43:11that would have seemed impossible when
- 43:13they first met. The moving truck begins
- 43:15traveling farther down the road, and
- 43:17Woody realizes that they have only a
- 43:19short amount of time left.
- 43:21>> [music]
- 43:21>> If they lose sight of it, they may never
- 43:24find Andy again. Woody and Buzz increase
- 43:27their speed, moving through the streets
- 43:29while avoiding cars and other obstacles.
- 43:32Their small size makes every part of the
- 43:34journey dangerous, but they use their
- 43:37surroundings to their advantage. Buzz's
- 43:39wings help them gain momentum,
- 43:41>> [music]
- 43:42>> while Woody's experience allows him to
- 43:44judge when they should move and when
- 43:46they should hide. Their different
- 43:47abilities finally work [music] together
- 43:49perfectly. Eventually, the two toys find
- 43:52an opportunity to launch themselves
- 43:54toward the moving vehicle. Buzz prepares
- 43:57his wings while Woody holds on tightly.
- 43:59>> [music]
- 43:59>> They race forward and manage to get
- 44:01closer to the truck, but the landing is
- 44:03not as easy as they hoped. [music]
- 44:05The two are thrown around, nearly losing
- 44:07their grip, but Woody refuses to let
- 44:10Buzz fall away. Buzz reaches back and
- 44:13helps Woody maintain [music] his
- 44:14position. Neither one thinks about
- 44:16themselves anymore. Their only concern
- 44:18is making sure they both survive the
- 44:20journey. After several difficult
- 44:22attempts, they finally [music] manage to
- 44:24reach the moving vehicle. Woody is
- 44:26relieved when he sees Andy's belongings
- 44:29[music] nearby. For a moment, it feels
- 44:31like the nightmare is finally ending.
- 44:33But before they can safely settle
- 44:35inside,
- 44:36>> [music]
- 44:36>> another problem appears. They are still
- 44:38moving quickly, and a single mistake
- 44:40could send them back onto the road.
- 44:42Woody tries to guide Buzz toward a safer
- 44:44[music] position, while Buzz uses his
- 44:47equipment to help them maintain balance.
- 44:49Their struggle becomes a test [music] of
- 44:51everything they have learned. Woody is
- 44:53no longer acting out of fear, and Buzz
- 44:56is no longer acting out of [music]
- 44:57pride. They communicate, trust one
- 44:59another, and make decisions together.
- 45:02The two toys have become a genuine
- 45:03[music] team. Woody understands that
- 45:06leadership is about protecting others,
- 45:08while Buzz understands that [music]
- 45:09courage does not require him to be a
- 45:11real space ranger.
- 45:13Their friendship has given both of them
- 45:15a stronger sense of purpose than either
- 45:17had at the beginning. [music] As the
- 45:19moving truck continues toward Andy's new
- 45:22home, Woody and Buzz finally find
- 45:24themselves in a position
- 45:26>> [music]
- 45:26>> where they can rest for a moment. They
- 45:28look back at the road they have traveled
- 45:31and realize how much has changed.
- 45:32[music]
- 45:33Woody's biggest fear was that Buzz would
- 45:35replace him, but instead, Buzz helped
- 45:38him become a better friend.
- 45:40Buzz's biggest fear was that he had no
- 45:43purpose after discovering he was a toy,
- 45:45[music]
- 45:45but Woody helped him understand that
- 45:47being loved by Andy is more meaningful
- 45:50than any imaginary space mission. Their
- 45:52return is not only about reaching Andy,
- 45:54>> [music]
- 45:55>> it is also about returning to the other
- 45:57toys who have been waiting for them.
- 45:59Woody knows that Slinky, Rex, Hamm,
- 46:01[music] Mr. Potato Head, Bo Peep, and
- 46:03the others must be worried. The thought
- 46:06of seeing everyone again gives him even
- 46:08more motivation. Buzz is also excited to
- 46:11meet the toys again, but he knows that
- 46:13he will be returning as a different Buzz
- 46:14Lightyear.
- 46:15>> [music]
- 46:16>> He no longer needs to prove that he is a
- 46:17real space ranger. He simply needs to be
- 46:20a good friend.
- 46:21The moving truck finally approaches the
- 46:23new neighborhood, and Woody realizes
- 46:25that they are almost home.
- 46:27He watches the houses pass by [music]
- 46:29and begins imagining Andy opening the
- 46:31boxes and finding his favorite toys
- 46:34again.
- 46:35For the first time since leaving the old
- 46:36house,
- 46:37>> [music]
- 46:37>> Woody feels genuinely hopeful.
- 46:40Buzz remains beside him, and their
- 46:42friendship gives him confidence [music]
- 46:43that whatever happens next, they will
- 46:45face it together. But their adventure
- 46:47still [music] has one final challenge.
- 46:50The toys must find a way to get from the
- 46:52moving truck back to Andy before the
- 46:55family finishes unloading everything.
- 46:57Woody and Buzz prepare themselves for
- 46:59another risky move, knowing that this
- 47:02could be their final opportunity.
- 47:04They have survived everything the
- 47:06journey has thrown at them, and now they
- 47:08are closer to home than ever.
- 47:10As the truck slows down near Andy's new
- 47:12house, Woody looks at Buzz and gives him
- 47:15a determined look. They are ready for
- 47:17the final stage of their journey. The
- 47:20rivalry that began in Andy's bedroom has
- 47:22become one of the strongest friendships
- 47:24in their world, and now both toys are
- 47:27determined to make sure they never let
- 47:29each other down again. The moving truck
- 47:31finally reaches Andy's new neighborhood,
- 47:33bringing Woody and Buzz closer to the
- 47:35home they have been desperately trying
- 47:37to reach.
- 47:38From their position among Andy's
- 47:39belongings, the two toys can see the new
- 47:42house ahead, and for the first time in a
- 47:44long while, Woody feels that they might
- 47:46actually make it back safely. [music]
- 47:48But getting home is not as simple as
- 47:50waiting for the truck to stop.
- 47:52Andy's family is already preparing to
- 47:54unload everything,
- 47:55>> [music]
- 47:55>> and if Woody and Buzz are separated from
- 47:57the right boxes, they could easily end
- 47:59up somewhere far away from Andy's
- 48:01[music] bedroom. Woody knows that they
- 48:03cannot take anything for granted,
- 48:05especially after everything that has
- 48:06happened since Buzz first arrived in
- 48:08Andy's life. As the truck slows down,
- 48:11Woody and Buzz carefully prepare
- 48:12themselves to leave. They have learned
- 48:15that the human world is dangerous when
- 48:16they are exposed, so they wait for the
- 48:19right opportunity. Woody watches the
- 48:21adults carrying boxes into the house
- 48:23while Buzz stays close beside him. The
- 48:26two no longer need to argue about what
- 48:28to do because they understand each
- 48:30other's thinking. Woody focuses on
- 48:32timing and safety while Buzz watches for
- 48:35opportunities that could help them move
- 48:37faster. Their different personalities,
- 48:39which once caused endless arguments,
- 48:41>> [music]
- 48:42>> now make them a remarkably effective
- 48:44team. When the unloading begins, Woody
- 48:46and Buzz move carefully among the boxes.
- 48:49They know that Andy's family could
- 48:51discover them if they move at the wrong
- 48:53moment, so they remain [music] still
- 48:55whenever anyone comes close.
- 48:57Woody is especially concerned about Andy
- 48:59because he wants to make sure that his
- 49:01favorite child eventually [music] finds
- 49:03him.
- 49:04Buzz also understands the importance of
- 49:06reaching Andy, but his motivation
- 49:08[music]
- 49:08is now different from the one he had at
- 49:10the beginning. He no longer wants to
- 49:12prove that he is a space ranger. He
- 49:15simply wants to return to the boy who
- 49:17accepted him as a toy and gave him a
- 49:19place in his world. Eventually, Woody
- 49:21and Buzz managed to get out of the
- 49:23moving truck and begin searching for the
- 49:25boxes that contain Andy's toys. The new
- 49:28house is unfamiliar and they have no
- 49:30idea where the toys have been placed.
- 49:33Woody remembers that their friends are
- 49:34probably somewhere inside waiting
- 49:37anxiously for their return. The thought
- 49:39of seeing Slinky, Rex, Ham, Mr. Potato
- 49:42Head, and Bo Peep again makes him smile.
- 49:44>> [music]
- 49:45>> He knows they were worried after Buzz
- 49:46disappeared, and Woody feels guilty
- 49:48about the role he played in creating the
- 49:50entire situation. As they search, Woody
- 49:53begins reflecting on how much he has
- 49:55changed. [music] When Buzz first
- 49:57arrived, Woody's biggest concern was
- 49:59protecting his position as Andy's
- 50:01favorite. He believed that if Buzz
- 50:03received more attention, Woody would
- 50:05become less important. That fear pushed
- 50:08him into making decisions that almost
- 50:10destroyed their friendship and put Buzz
- 50:12in danger.
- 50:13Now Woody understands that love does not
- 50:15have to be divided like a limited
- 50:17resource.
- 50:18>> [music]
- 50:18>> Andy can love Woody and Buzz at the same
- 50:20time.
- 50:21In fact, Buzz's arrival has given Woody
- 50:24something even more valuable than being
- 50:25the only favorite toy.
- 50:27>> [music]
- 50:27>> A true friend who will stand beside him
- 50:29when things become difficult. Buzz is
- 50:32changing as well.
- 50:33>> [music]
- 50:33>> He walks through the new house with a
- 50:35completely different attitude from the
- 50:37confident Space Ranger [music]
- 50:39who first arrived in Andy's bedroom.
- 50:42He still has his adventurous
- 50:43personality, but now it is balanced
- 50:45[music] by humility.
- 50:47He knows that he is a toy and he is
- 50:49finally comfortable with that truth.
- 50:51>> [music]
- 50:51>> Instead of feeling disappointed, Buzz
- 50:54begins appreciating the simple things
- 50:56that make his life [music] meaningful.
- 50:58He has friends, he has a home, and he
- 51:01has an owner who genuinely loves playing
- 51:03with him.
- 51:04His journey has taught him that purpose
- 51:06is not always about accomplishing a
- 51:08grand mission. [music]
- 51:09Sometimes purpose can simply mean being
- 51:12there for someone who cares about you.
- 51:13The two eventually discover signs
- 51:15[music] that Andy's toys are nearby.
- 51:18Woody becomes excited because they are
- 51:20finally [music] to reuniting with the
- 51:22rest of the group. However, before they
- 51:25can reach them, they encounter another
- 51:27unexpected obstacle. The new house
- 51:30[music] is still being organized and
- 51:32people are moving from room to room.
- 51:34Woody and Buzz have to hide repeatedly
- 51:37waiting until the area is clear before
- 51:39continuing. Their [music] patience is
- 51:41tested, but neither toy wants to risk
- 51:44exposing themselves after coming this
- 51:46[music] far.
- 51:47Eventually, Woody sees a familiar toy
- 51:49among the boxes and realizes that they
- 51:52are finally in the right place.
- 51:54The sight fills him with relief. He
- 51:56knows that once the humans leave the
- 51:58room, he and Buzz can reveal themselves
- 52:00to their friends. [music]
- 52:02Buzz also recognizes the familiar toys
- 52:04and realizes how much he has come to
- 52:06care about them.
- 52:07>> [music]
- 52:08>> They were once strangers who admired him
- 52:09because they thought he was
- 52:11extraordinary, but now they are simply
- 52:13his friends, and that means much [music]
- 52:15more to him. When the room finally
- 52:17becomes quiet, Woody and Buzz reveal
- 52:20themselves to the waiting [music] toys.
- 52:22The reunion is filled with relief and
- 52:24excitement. The other toys had spent a
- 52:27long time believing that Buzz might
- 52:29never return, and they had blamed Woody
- 52:31for what happened. Seeing the two of
- 52:34them come back together [music] proves
- 52:35that their fears were wrong. Woody's
- 52:38return also shows that he has changed.
- 52:40[music] He is no longer trying to
- 52:42control the group through jealousy. He
- 52:44is genuinely happy to have everyone
- 52:46together again. The other toys quickly
- 52:48notice the difference between Woody and
- 52:50Buzz. The two are no longer fighting
- 52:52over Andy's attention. [music] Instead,
- 52:55they cooperate and joke together like
- 52:57close friends. Even Mr. Potato Head, who
- 53:00had previously been suspicious of
- 53:01Woody's actions, can see that something
- 53:04has changed. [music]
- 53:05Slinky is especially happy because Woody
- 53:07and Buzz have finally learned to trust
- 53:09each other.
- 53:11But the reunion also reminds Woody that
- 53:13there is still one final thing they need
- 53:15to accomplish. Andy has not yet opened
- 53:18all of his boxes, [music]
- 53:19and Woody wants to make sure that he and
- 53:21Buzz are both ready when the boy enters
- 53:23his new room.
- 53:25They know that the moment Andy sees them
- 53:26[music] again, they must return to their
- 53:28usual positions and pretend they have
- 53:31never moved.
- 53:32>> [music]
- 53:32>> Their secret must remain safe. Woody and
- 53:35Buzz settle into the new bedroom with
- 53:37the other toys, waiting for Andy to
- 53:40arrive. The room may be different, but
- 53:43the toys are together again.
- 53:45Woody looks around and realizes that the
- 53:47most important thing was never the old
- 53:50house, the old bedroom, or even being
- 53:53Andy's only favorite. What mattered was
- 53:56the bond between the toys and the
- 53:58happiness they shared with Andy.
- 54:01Soon, they hear footsteps approaching.
- 54:04Andy is coming.
- 54:05>> [music]
- 54:05>> Woody and Buzz prepare themselves,
- 54:08knowing that the next moment will bring
- 54:10their incredible adventure closer to its
- 54:13conclusion.
- 54:14After everything they have survived,
- 54:16they are finally home, and this time
- 54:19they are returning as friends. [music]
- 54:21Andy begins unpacking his things,
- 54:23placing familiar objects around his new
- 54:26room, and slowly turning the unfamiliar
- 54:28space into a place that feels like home.
- 54:32The toys watch silently as boxes are
- 54:34opened one after another. Woody notices
- 54:37that Andy is still excited about his
- 54:39toys, and that realization brings him
- 54:41enormous comfort.
- 54:43He had spent so much time worrying that
- 54:45the new house would somehow mean the end
- 54:47of his relationship with Andy, but now
- 54:49he understands [music] that a child's
- 54:51love for his toys is connected to the
- 54:53memories they share, not simply the room
- 54:56they live in.
- 54:57Andy's childhood is changing, but the
- 55:00bond between him and his toys remains.
- 55:03When Andy finally discovers Woody among
- 55:05his belongings, his face immediately
- 55:08brightens.
- 55:09He picks up the cowboy doll and holds
- 55:11him as though no time has passed.
- 55:14Woody feels a sense of happiness
- 55:16>> [music]
- 55:16>> that he had almost lost during his
- 55:18jealousy over Buzz.
- 55:20For a moment, he realizes that he never
- 55:22truly lost his place in Andy's heart.
- 55:25Buzz did not erase Woody's importance.
- 55:28Instead, Buzz became another part of
- 55:31Andy's childhood, and Woody can now
- 55:33appreciate that without feeling
- 55:35threatened. The other toys quietly watch
- 55:38the reunion, relieved to see Woody back
- 55:40where he belongs. Slinky is especially
- 55:43happy because he had always believed
- 55:45Woody would find a way home. Rex, Ham,
- 55:48Mr. Potato Head, and the others also
- 55:51settle back into their familiar
- 55:52positions as Andy continues playing.
- 55:55The room once again feels like the safe
- 55:57little world it had been before Buzz
- 55:59arrived. But, there is one major
- 56:01difference. Woody and Buzz are no longer
- 56:03rivals competing for Andy's attention.
- 56:06They have become friends who understand
- 56:08that they can share the same place in
- 56:10Andy's life. Buzz's transformation is
- 56:12especially meaningful. When he first
- 56:14arrived, he believed that his destiny
- 56:16was to travel through space and complete
- 56:18a heroic mission. He looked at the other
- 56:20toys as though they were ordinary
- 56:22objects living on [music] a strange
- 56:23planet. Now, he understands that his
- 56:25real life is much simpler, but no less
- 56:28meaningful. He is Andy's toy, and being
- 56:31loved by Andy gives him a purpose that
- 56:33he could never have understood before.
- 56:35Buzz no longer needs to prove that he is
- 56:36special because he has already
- 56:38discovered something more important.
- 56:40>> [music]
- 56:40>> Friendship. Woody also learns one of the
- 56:43most important lessons of his life.
- 56:45His fear of being replaced nearly caused
- 56:47him to lose everything. He had been so
- 56:49focused on protecting his position as
- 56:51Andy's favorite that he forgot what
- 56:53being a good friend and leader actually
- 56:55meant.
- 56:56Through his journey with Buzz, Woody
- 56:58discovered that friendship requires
- 57:00trust, sacrifice, and the willingness to
- 57:02put someone else's safety ahead of your
- 57:04own comfort. Buzz's arrival did not
- 57:07destroy Woody's world. Instead, [music]
- 57:09it helped Woody become a better version
- 57:11of himself. As Andy continues playing,
- 57:13the toys wait for their next [music]
- 57:15adventure.
- 57:16The familiar routines of the bedroom
- 57:18begin returning.
- 57:19>> [music]
- 57:19>> Whenever Andy leaves, the toys come
- 57:21alive again, talking about what has
- 57:23happened and celebrating their reunion.
- 57:26Buzz becomes part of the group [music]
- 57:28naturally, no longer treated as a
- 57:30mysterious outsider.
- 57:32Even the [music] toys who once
- 57:33questioned him now accept him
- 57:35completely. Woody remains the leader,
- 57:38but his leadership [music] has become
- 57:39more thoughtful. He no longer needs to
- 57:41prove that he deserves the position.
- 57:43>> [music]
- 57:43>> The others trust him because they know
- 57:45he will protect them. The new friendship
- 57:47between Woody and Buzz also brings a
- 57:49different [music] energy to the room.
- 57:51They joke with each other, discuss
- 57:53Andy's games, and occasionally disagree.
- 57:56But their arguments are no longer driven
- 57:58by jealousy. Buzz can still be overly
- 58:00confident, [music] and Woody can still
- 58:02become irritated by him, but there is
- 58:04affection underneath their
- 58:05disagreements. They have experienced
- 58:07[music] too much together to ever become
- 58:09true enemies again. Outside the bedroom,
- 58:12Andy's new life is beginning. The family
- 58:14is settling into their new home, and the
- 58:16move that once seemed like a disaster
- 58:19[music] has become the beginning of
- 58:20another chapter. For the toys, the new
- 58:23house may look unfamiliar,
- 58:24>> [music]
- 58:25>> but they have learned that home is not
- 58:27simply a building. Home is wherever Andy
- 58:29is.
- 58:30>> [music]
- 58:30>> And as long as they remain together,
- 58:32they can adapt to whatever comes next.
- 58:35Woody looks around the room at all of
- 58:36his friends, [music] and finally
- 58:38understands that the things he feared
- 58:40losing were never as fragile as he
- 58:42believed. [music]
- 58:43Andy still loves him. The other toys
- 58:46still trust him. And Buzz, the toy who
- 58:49once represented everything Woody was
- 58:51afraid of, is now standing beside him as
- 58:53his [music] closest friend. Woody no
- 58:55longer needs to compete for attention
- 58:57because he knows that friendship has
- 58:59made his [music] world bigger, not
- 59:01smaller. Then Andy picks up Buzz and
- 59:03Woody together, preparing to play with
- 59:05both of them. The two toys exchange a
- 59:07quiet [music] look that says everything
- 59:09they need to know. Their journey began
- 59:11with jealousy and misunderstanding,
- 59:13[music]
- 59:14but it has ended with trust and
- 59:15friendship. They are once again exactly
- 59:18where they belong, together in Andy's
- 59:20world. [music] And as the bedroom door
- 59:22closes behind Andy, Woody and Buzz know
- 59:24that their incredible adventure may be
- 59:26over for now, but their life as Andy's
- 59:28toys [music] is only beginning. Life in
- 59:31Andy's new bedroom slowly begins
- 59:33returning to normal, but for Woody and
- 59:35Buzz, normal now means something
- 59:38completely different [music] from
- 59:39before. They are no longer competing for
- 59:41Andy's attention, and the other toys no
- 59:44longer have to worry about another
- 59:46argument [music] between the cowboy and
- 59:47the space ranger. Instead, Woody and
- 59:49Buzz have become the strongest pair in
- 59:51the room, often working together
- 59:53whenever Andy starts a new game. [music]
- 59:55Woody still has his familiar role as the
- 59:57dependable cowboy, while Buzz brings his
- 1:00:00adventurous personality and futuristic
- 1:00:02imagination to every situation. Their
- 1:00:04friendship [music] has become so natural
- 1:00:06that it is difficult to imagine that
- 1:00:08only a short time earlier they could
- 1:00:10barely [music] stand being in the same
- 1:00:12room. Andy continues spending time with
- 1:00:14his toys, and every game gives them
- 1:00:16another opportunity to experience
- 1:00:18[music] the world through his
- 1:00:19imagination.
- 1:00:21To Andy, Woody and Buzz are simply
- 1:00:23characters [music] in his childhood
- 1:00:25adventures.
- 1:00:26But to the toys, every game is
- 1:00:28meaningful because it is a chance to be
- 1:00:30part of the boy's life.
- 1:00:33Woody especially appreciates these
- 1:00:35moments now because he understands that
- 1:00:38childhood changes quickly.
- 1:00:40He once believed that losing Andy's
- 1:00:42attention would mean losing everything.
- 1:00:45But his journey has taught him that
- 1:00:47memories are not destroyed simply
- 1:00:49because something new comes along.
- 1:00:52Andy can grow, change, and discover new
- 1:00:54interests while still carrying the love
- 1:00:57he has for the toys that were there
- 1:00:58before. Buzz has also become comfortable
- 1:01:01with his new identity. [music]
- 1:01:03He no longer spends his time searching
- 1:01:06for evidence that he's a real space
- 1:01:08ranger
- 1:01:09or trying to find a way back to some
- 1:01:11imaginary home planet.
- 1:01:13Instead, he has accepted that his real
- 1:01:16home is wherever Andy and his friends
- 1:01:18are.
- 1:01:19He still enjoys pretending to be a
- 1:01:21heroic space ranger during Andy's games,
- 1:01:24but now he understands the difference
- 1:01:26between imagination and reality.
- 1:01:29His confidence is no longer based on
- 1:01:32believing something false.
- 1:01:34It comes from knowing who he is and
- 1:01:36recognizing the value he has as [music]
- 1:01:38a friend. Woody noticed this change and
- 1:01:41feels proud of Buzz.
- 1:01:43He remembers the frightened look on
- 1:01:44Buzz's face when he first discovered
- 1:01:47that he was a toy.
- 1:01:48At that moment, Buzz believed that his
- 1:01:50entire existence had become meaningless.
- 1:01:54Woody had once been jealous of Buzz
- 1:01:56because he seemed so confident and
- 1:01:58special.
- 1:01:59>> [music]
- 1:01:59>> Yet Woody eventually discovered that
- 1:02:01Buzz had his own fears and insecurities.
- 1:02:05Helping Buzz overcome those fears also
- 1:02:07helped Woody overcome his own.
- 1:02:10Their friendship became a lesson for
- 1:02:11both of them,
- 1:02:13showing that people, or toys, can become
- 1:02:15stronger when they stop trying to prove
- 1:02:17themselves and start supporting each
- 1:02:19other. Rest of the toys also benefit
- 1:02:21from the changes inside the group.
- 1:02:24Slinky remains one of Woody's closest
- 1:02:27friends, always ready to help whenever
- 1:02:29something happens.
- 1:02:31Rex continues worrying about everything
- 1:02:34despite his intimidating appearance.
- 1:02:37While Ham keeps making sarcastic
- 1:02:39comments whenever the others become too
- 1:02:41serious.
- 1:02:42Mr. Potato Head remains dramatic and
- 1:02:45unpredictable,
- 1:02:46but even he can see that Woody and Buzz
- 1:02:49now make a great team.
- 1:02:51Bo Peep continues to be close to Woody,
- 1:02:54and the atmosphere among the toys is
- 1:02:56more peaceful than it has ever been.
- 1:02:58Meanwhile, Andy's [music] imagination
- 1:03:00gives the toys another reason to stay
- 1:03:02prepared.
- 1:03:03They never know when he might suddenly
- 1:03:05enter the room and start a new game.
- 1:03:08One moment they could be relaxing and
- 1:03:10discussing [music] their day, and the
- 1:03:12next they may need to freeze in place
- 1:03:14because Andy is coming through the door.
- 1:03:17Their secret world remains hidden from
- 1:03:19humans, and maintaining that secret is
- 1:03:21part of what keeps them safe.
- 1:03:24Woody is still careful about this rule,
- 1:03:26but he is now less controlling because
- 1:03:28the other toys have learned to work
- 1:03:29together. One afternoon, Andy begins
- 1:03:32playing with Woody and Buzz again,
- 1:03:34>> [music]
- 1:03:34>> imagining them as heroes on another
- 1:03:36exciting mission.
- 1:03:38Buzz immediately embraces the role of
- 1:03:40the fearless space ranger,
- 1:03:42while Woody joins him as the loyal
- 1:03:44cowboy partner.
- 1:03:46The game reminds Woody of how far they
- 1:03:47have come.
- 1:03:49In the beginning, Buzz's space ranger
- 1:03:51personality annoyed him because it
- 1:03:53seemed to make Buzz more exciting than
- 1:03:55him.
- 1:03:56Now, Woody enjoys playing along because
- 1:03:58he [music] understands that Buzz's
- 1:04:00imagination is simply another part of
- 1:04:02what makes him special.
- 1:04:04Their differences no longer separate
- 1:04:06them.
- 1:04:07Instead, those differences make their
- 1:04:09friendship stronger. [music]
- 1:04:10As Andy's family continues settling into
- 1:04:13their new home, Woody becomes
- 1:04:15increasingly comfortable with the idea
- 1:04:16[music] that the future will not always
- 1:04:18remain the same. Andy will eventually
- 1:04:20grow older, and his interests [music]
- 1:04:22will change, but Woody no longer fears
- 1:04:25every change as a threat. He understands
- 1:04:27that the important thing is to enjoy the
- 1:04:29moments they have together. [music] Buzz
- 1:04:31has helped him see that friendship and
- 1:04:33loyalty are not measured by how much
- 1:04:35attention [music] someone receives. They
- 1:04:37are measured by whether you remain there
- 1:04:38when things become difficult. Buzz,
- 1:04:40meanwhile, has developed a strong
- 1:04:42[music] sense of responsibility toward
- 1:04:44the other toys.
- 1:04:46He is no longer the outsider who thinks
- 1:04:48he is superior to everyone else.
- 1:04:51When the toys [music] need help, he is
- 1:04:53ready to assist them.
- 1:04:55And when Woody needs support, Buzz does
- 1:04:57[music] not hesitate.
- 1:04:59Their relationship has become a
- 1:05:00partnership built on trust.
- 1:05:03If one of them makes a mistake, the
- 1:05:05[music] other does not immediately turn
- 1:05:07against him.
- 1:05:08Instead, they work together to solve
- 1:05:10[music] the problem.
- 1:05:12This new confidence is tested when
- 1:05:14Andy's family begins making plans for
- 1:05:16another outing.
- 1:05:18The toys realize that [music] Andy may
- 1:05:20soon be leaving them alone again,
- 1:05:22giving them another opportunity [music]
- 1:05:24to relax and talk freely.
- 1:05:26Woody and Buzz use the quiet moment to
- 1:05:29look [music] back at everything that
- 1:05:30happened.
- 1:05:31They remember the birthday, the rivalry,
- 1:05:34the fall from the window, Sid's
- 1:05:36terrifying bedroom, and the desperate
- 1:05:37[music] race back to the moving truck.
- 1:05:40Every event seems unbelievable now, but
- 1:05:43those experiences changed [music] them
- 1:05:44permanently. Woody finally admits that
- 1:05:47he would never have become the friend he
- 1:05:50is today without Buzz. [music]
- 1:05:52Buzz responds with the same
- 1:05:54understanding, recognizing that Woody
- 1:05:56was the one who stayed [music] beside
- 1:05:58him when he felt completely lost.
- 1:06:01Their friendship was not created by
- 1:06:03having [music] the same personalities.
- 1:06:05It was created because they learned to
- 1:06:07respect each [music] other's differences
- 1:06:09and trust each other when it mattered
- 1:06:11most.
- 1:06:12As the toys settle back into their
- 1:06:14familiar positions,
- 1:06:16Woody looks around the bedroom and
- 1:06:18smiles.
- 1:06:19Everything is different now.
- 1:06:21Yet, somehow [music]
- 1:06:22everything feels right.
- 1:06:24Andy is happy,
- 1:06:26the toys are together,
- 1:06:28>> [music]
- 1:06:28>> and Buzz is no longer a rival.
- 1:06:31The room that once felt threatened by
- 1:06:33Buzz's arrival has become [music] a
- 1:06:35place where both of them belong.
- 1:06:38And with their friendship stronger than
- 1:06:40ever,
- 1:06:40>> [music]
- 1:06:41>> Woody and Buzz are ready for whatever
- 1:06:43new adventure Andy's imagination brings
- 1:06:46next. [music] As Andy's new life begins
- 1:06:48to settle into a comfortable routine,
- 1:06:51Woody and Buzz have finally found the
- 1:06:53peace [music] they were missing at the
- 1:06:54beginning of their journey.
- 1:06:56The two toys now understand that their
- 1:06:58friendship is much more valuable than
- 1:07:01the rivalry that once divided [music]
- 1:07:02them.
- 1:07:03Woody no longer worries every time Andy
- 1:07:06becomes interested in something new.
- 1:07:08>> [music]
- 1:07:08>> And Buzz no longer feels the need to
- 1:07:10prove that he is more important than the
- 1:07:12other toys.
- 1:07:13Instead, they have learned how to share
- 1:07:15Andy's attention and support each other.
- 1:07:18The bedroom has once again become a safe
- 1:07:20place where the toys can relax, talk,
- 1:07:23and enjoy their secret lives whenever
- 1:07:25Andy is away. Woody often thinks about
- 1:07:27the day Buzz first arrived. At the time,
- 1:07:30he saw the new space ranger as a direct
- 1:07:33threat to everything he had built with
- 1:07:36Andy.
- 1:07:37Buzz looked more impressive, had unusual
- 1:07:40equipment, and immediately captured
- 1:07:42Andy's attention.
- 1:07:45Woody's jealousy made him act without
- 1:07:47thinking, and his actions nearly
- 1:07:49destroyed their friendship
- 1:07:51>> [music]
- 1:07:51>> before it had even begun.
- 1:07:54Looking back now, Woody realizes that
- 1:07:56his greatest [music] mistake was
- 1:07:58believing that Andy's love had to belong
- 1:08:01entirely to him.
- 1:08:03He had been afraid that another toy
- 1:08:05could take his place.
- 1:08:07But he eventually discovered that Andy's
- 1:08:10heart was big enough for all of them.
- 1:08:12Buzz has also come a long way from the
- 1:08:14confident [music] figure who first
- 1:08:16walked into Andy's bedroom,
- 1:08:18believing he was a real space ranger.
- 1:08:22He has accepted the truth about himself
- 1:08:24without losing the adventurous spirit
- 1:08:26that makes him special.
- 1:08:28He still enjoys pretending to be a hero,
- 1:08:31but now the fantasy is something he
- 1:08:33shares with Andy rather than something
- 1:08:35he mistakes for reality.
- 1:08:37More importantly, Buzz understands that
- 1:08:40his true value comes from the friendship
- 1:08:42and happiness he brings to the people
- 1:08:44around him.
- 1:08:45The discovery that he was a toy once
- 1:08:48felt like the end of his world, but it
- 1:08:50eventually became the beginning of a
- 1:08:52much better understanding of who he
- 1:08:54really was. The other toys are relieved
- 1:08:56to see Woody and Buzz working together.
- 1:08:58Their friendship has changed the entire
- 1:09:00atmosphere of the group because everyone
- 1:09:03knows they can rely on both of them.
- 1:09:05Woody remains the natural leader, but he
- 1:09:07no longer feels the need to control
- 1:09:09every situation.
- 1:09:11Buzz has become another dependable
- 1:09:13member of the group, always ready to
- 1:09:15help when something unexpected happens.
- 1:09:18Slinky, Rex, Hamm, Mr. Potato Head, Bo
- 1:09:21Peep, and the others can now enjoy their
- 1:09:23time together without worrying that
- 1:09:25another argument between the two former
- 1:09:27rivals will divide everyone. Andy
- 1:09:29continues creating adventures for his
- 1:09:31toys, and the bedroom becomes the stage
- 1:09:33for countless imaginary stories.
- 1:09:37Sometimes, Woody is the brave cowboy,
- 1:09:39while Buzz becomes the fearless space
- 1:09:41ranger.
- 1:09:43Other times, the two are partners
- 1:09:44fighting imaginary enemies together.
- 1:09:47From the toys' perspective, these games
- 1:09:49are important because they allow them to
- 1:09:51remain part of Andy's childhood.
- 1:09:54Woody understands this better than ever.
- 1:09:56He no longer worries about being the
- 1:09:58only character [music] in Andy's games.
- 1:10:00He is simply grateful to be included,
- 1:10:02especially when Buzz is there beside
- 1:10:05him. One quiet moment gives Woody the
- 1:10:07opportunity to look around at all of his
- 1:10:09friends.
- 1:10:10The room may not be the same as the old
- 1:10:12bedroom, but the toys have managed to
- 1:10:14rebuild [music] their little community.
- 1:10:17Their experiences have taught them that
- 1:10:19change can be frightening without
- 1:10:21necessarily being bad.
- 1:10:23The move forced them into unfamiliar
- 1:10:25surroundings.
- 1:10:26Buzz's arrival challenged their
- 1:10:28friendships, and Sid's cruel deed pushed
- 1:10:30them into real danger.
- 1:10:32Yet, every difficult experience
- 1:10:34ultimately made them stronger.
- 1:10:36Woody realizes that sometimes [music]
- 1:10:38the things we fear most can lead us
- 1:10:40toward something better. Buzz shares a
- 1:10:42similar realization.
- 1:10:44>> [music]
- 1:10:44>> He once believed that his greatest
- 1:10:46mission was somewhere beyond the stars.
- 1:10:49But now, he understands [music]
- 1:10:50that his most important mission is much
- 1:10:53closer to home.
- 1:10:55Being there for [music] Andy and his
- 1:10:56friends gives him a purpose that is
- 1:10:58real. He does not need a spaceship or
- 1:11:00[music] a distant planet to feel
- 1:11:02important. He only needs to remember
- 1:11:04that someone chose him, loved him, and
- 1:11:07gave him a place in their life.
- 1:11:09This simple truth makes Buzz more
- 1:11:11confident than he ever was when he
- 1:11:13believed himself to be a legendary space
- 1:11:15ranger.
- 1:11:17As the day continues, Andy spends
- 1:11:19[music] more time with his toys, unaware
- 1:11:21of how much has happened behind the
- 1:11:23scenes.
- 1:11:24To him, Woody and Buzz are simply two
- 1:11:26favorite characters [music] who belong
- 1:11:28in his imagination.
- 1:11:30He has no idea that they have survived
- 1:11:32dangerous journeys, escaped Sid, and
- 1:11:34built an extraordinary friendship.
- 1:11:37That secret [music] is part of the magic
- 1:11:39of their world.
- 1:11:40The toys will never reveal themselves to
- 1:11:42Andy [music] because their relationship
- 1:11:44with him depends on allowing him to
- 1:11:46believe that they are ordinary toys.
- 1:11:49When Andy eventually leave the bedroom,
- 1:11:51Woody and Buzz become active [music]
- 1:11:53again. They exchange a look and begin
- 1:11:55talking about their lives as though they
- 1:11:57have been doing it forever.
- 1:11:59The other toys gather around them, and
- 1:12:02the room [music] fills with conversation
- 1:12:03and laughter.
- 1:12:05Woody realizes that the rivalry that
- 1:12:07once seemed so [music] important has
- 1:12:09completely disappeared.
- 1:12:11Buzz is no longer the newcomer. He is
- 1:12:13part of the family. [music]
- 1:12:15Then the toys hear Andy returning.
- 1:12:17Everyone immediately freezes, [music]
- 1:12:19returning to their positions before the
- 1:12:21door opens. Woody settles into place,
- 1:12:24and Buzz stands nearby, looking exactly
- 1:12:27like an ordinary [music] action figure.
- 1:12:29Andy walks into the room and begins
- 1:12:31looking through his toys,
- 1:12:33>> [music]
- 1:12:33>> choosing what he wants to play with. He
- 1:12:35picks up Woody and Buzz together,
- 1:12:37carrying them toward another imaginary
- 1:12:39adventure. Woody and Buzz cannot move
- 1:12:42while Andy is watching, but they do not
- 1:12:44need to. They already know what they
- 1:12:46have become to each other.
- 1:12:48>> [music]
- 1:12:48>> They are partners, friends, and members
- 1:12:50of the same little world.
- 1:12:52Whatever new toy Andy might receive
- 1:12:55someday, whatever new house they might
- 1:12:57live in, or whatever changes come with
- 1:13:00growing up, they now know [music] that
- 1:13:02friendship is stronger than fear.
- 1:13:04The journey that began with Woody trying
- 1:13:06to get rid of Buzz has ended by giving
- 1:13:09him the very thing he never knew [music]
- 1:13:11he needed.
- 1:13:12A friend who understands him, challenges
- 1:13:15him, and stands beside him.
- 1:13:17Buzz has gained something equally
- 1:13:19important, a true home and a group of
- 1:13:22[music] friends who accept him exactly
- 1:13:24as he is.
- 1:13:26And as Andy begins another game with his
- 1:13:28favorite [music] toys, Woody and Buzz
- 1:13:30are ready to face whatever comes next
- 1:13:33together. As the story reaches its final
- 1:13:35moments, [music]
- 1:13:36Woody and Buzz have completely
- 1:13:37transformed from rivals into inseparable
- 1:13:40friends.
- 1:13:41What began with Woody fearing that Buzz
- 1:13:43would take away his place in Andy's life
- 1:13:46eventually [music] became an adventure
- 1:13:48that taught both toys the true meaning
- 1:13:50of loyalty, courage, [music] and
- 1:13:52friendship.
- 1:13:53Woody no longer sees Buzz as a threat
- 1:13:56because he understands that Andy's love
- 1:13:58was never something that had to be
- 1:13:59divided.
- 1:14:01Buzz has his own special place in Andy's
- 1:14:03world, just as Woody does, and together
- 1:14:06they make Andy's childhood even more
- 1:14:08memorable.
- 1:14:10The two toys have survived separation,
- 1:14:12danger, Sid's experiments, and the
- 1:14:14frightening journey back home.
- 1:14:16And every challenge has made their
- 1:14:18friendship stronger. Buzz's journey has
- 1:14:20also reached a meaningful conclusion.
- 1:14:23When he first arrived, he genuinely
- 1:14:25believed that he was a real space ranger
- 1:14:28on a mission to protect the galaxy.
- 1:14:30Discovering that he was actually a toy
- 1:14:33destroyed the identity he had built
- 1:14:35around himself.
- 1:14:37But Woody helped him understand that
- 1:14:39being a toy was not something to be
- 1:14:41ashamed of.
- 1:14:42Buzz eventually realized that his His
- 1:14:45purpose was not somewhere in outer
- 1:14:47space.
- 1:14:48It was right there with Andy and the
- 1:14:50other [music] toys.
- 1:14:52He could still be brave, adventurous,
- 1:14:54and heroic while being exactly what he
- 1:14:57was,
- 1:14:58a toy loved by a child. [music] Woody
- 1:15:00learns an equally important lesson. His
- 1:15:03greatest fear had always been losing
- 1:15:05Andy's attention, and that fear caused
- 1:15:07him to become jealous and selfish when
- 1:15:10Buzz arrived. But after everything they
- 1:15:12experienced together, [music]
- 1:15:14Woody understands that being a good
- 1:15:16friend matters more than being the only
- 1:15:18favorite. Buzz did not destroy Woody's
- 1:15:21relationship with Andy. Instead, he
- 1:15:24helped Woody discover a friendship that
- 1:15:26made his life richer. Woody now knows
- 1:15:28that the best way to protect his place
- 1:15:30in Andy's heart is not by pushing other
- 1:15:33toys away, but by continuing to be
- 1:15:35loyal, caring, [music] and dependable.
- 1:15:38The rest of the toys are also happier
- 1:15:40now that Woody and Buzz are working
- 1:15:42together. The bedroom has returned to
- 1:15:44the peaceful world they knew before the
- 1:15:46adventure began, but the toys themselves
- 1:15:49are not exactly the same. They have
- 1:15:51experienced something that none of them
- 1:15:53will ever forget. They have learned that
- 1:15:56even the smallest toy can face enormous
- 1:15:58challenges [music] when they stand
- 1:16:00together. Their friendship has become
- 1:16:02stronger, and Buzz is now fully accepted
- 1:16:05as one of them.
- 1:16:06>> Andy continues playing with Woody and
- 1:16:08Buzz, completely unaware of the secret
- 1:16:10lives they live whenever he leaves the
- 1:16:12room.
- 1:16:14To him, they are simply toys and
- 1:16:15characters from his imagination.
- 1:16:18But for Woody and Buzz, Andy is the
- 1:16:21center of their world.
- 1:16:23His happiness [music] gives their lives
- 1:16:24meaning, and every time he picks them up
- 1:16:27to play, they know they are exactly
- 1:16:29where they belong.
- 1:16:31The final moments bring everything full
- 1:16:33circle. Woody once worried that Buzz's
- 1:16:36arrival meant his life with Andy was
- 1:16:38coming to an end,
- 1:16:40but now Buzz stands beside him as a
- 1:16:42trusted friend.
- 1:16:43The cowboy and the space ranger [music]
- 1:16:45have learned that they do not have to
- 1:16:47compete.
- 1:16:48They can share adventures, protect their
- 1:16:50friends, and remain part of Andy's
- 1:16:52childhood together.
- 1:16:54Their journey proves that sometimes the
- 1:16:56person we see as our greatest rival can
- 1:16:59become the person we trust the most. As
- 1:17:01Andy prepares for another adventure with
- 1:17:03his toys, Woody and Buzz are ready.
- 1:17:06They may not know what Andy will imagine
- 1:17:08next, and they certainly cannot predict
- 1:17:11what challenges might appear in the
- 1:17:13future.
- 1:17:14But they are no longer afraid of change.
- 1:17:17Whatever happens, they know they will
- 1:17:19face it together.
- 1:17:21The bedroom becomes quiet once again,
- 1:17:24and the toys wait patiently [music] for
- 1:17:26the next moment when Andy leaves and
- 1:17:28their secret world comes alive.
- 1:17:31And somewhere in that quiet room, Woody
- 1:17:34and Buzz stand side by side.
- 1:17:37No longer enemies competing for the same
- 1:17:39place, but two friends who have
- 1:17:41discovered that the greatest [music]
- 1:17:43adventure was never about being the
- 1:17:46strongest or most important.
- 1:17:48It was about [music] finding someone you
- 1:17:50can trust and having the courage to
- 1:17:53stand beside them when everything goes
- 1:17:55wrong. [music] And that's how Toy Story
- 1:17:57comes to its heartwarming end. If you
