4. 0:22Rasheed. Uh brother Rasheed, the
5. 0:25question for lots of people is always
6. 0:27why we should believe in Muhammad. We
7. 0:32look at people in the Bible. You've got
8. 0:34Moses parting the Red Sea. You've got
9. 0:36Jesus uh cleansing lepers and raising
10. 0:40the dead and walking on water and then
11. 0:42raising uh raising himself from the
12. 0:45dead.
13. 0:46And so
14. 0:48these are the miracles that we think of.
15. 0:50Mhm.
16. 0:51And interestingly,
17. 0:54the non-Muslims of Muhammad's time asked
18. 0:58him over and over and over again why he
19. 1:01wasn't performing
20. 1:03miracles. What were his signs that were
21. 1:05going to confirm him? I'm going to read
22. 1:06a couple of quick passages here and you
23. 1:07could you could add any that you want.
24. 1:09So surah 6:37
25. 1:12and they say why has not a sign been
26. 1:15sent down to him from his lord? Say
27. 1:18surely Allah is able to send down a sign
28. 1:22do not know. So so he's able.
29. 1:25Okay, you are able then do it.
30. 1:27Allah is able. All right. Surah 10:20.
31. 1:30And they say, "Why is not a sign sent to
32. 1:32him from his lord? Say, the unseen is
33. 1:36only for Allah. Therefore, wait. Surely
34. 1:40I too with you am of those who wait." So
35. 1:43the
36. 1:43I don't get it.
37. 1:44He's saying he's saying Allah can
38. 1:45perform miracles. Just wait.
39. 1:47Surah 11.
40. 1:48You waited but nothing happened.
41. 1:50Well, let's see because we're going to
42. 1:51keep reading. Maybe we get to the uh
43. 1:53awesome miracles here. Surah 11:12.
44. 1:56Then it may be that you will give up
45. 1:59part of what is revealed to you and your
46. 2:01breast will become straightened by it.
47. 2:03Because they say, "Why has not a
48. 2:06treasure been sent down upon him or an
49. 2:08angel come with him?" You are only a
50. 2:11warner and Allah is custodian over all
51. 2:13things.
52. 2:14Well, I mean, you are only a warner. We
53. 2:16don't know if you are really a warner.
54. 2:18That's that's the question. We're trying
55. 2:19to get you to verify that. Surah 13:7,
56. 2:23"And those who disbelieve say, why has
57. 2:25not a sign been sent down upon him from
58. 2:28his Lord? You are only a warner, and
59. 2:30there is a guide for every people."
60. 2:32Oh my. And so you are only a warner.
61. 2:35Yeah. Warners come with signs, too.
62. 2:37Yeah. And then verse verse 27 of the
63. 2:39same chapter, "And those who disbelieve
64. 2:41say, why is not a sign sent down upon
65. 2:44him by his Lord?" say, "Surely Allah
66. 2:47makes him who will go astray and guides
67. 2:50to himself those who turn to answer to
68. 2:53him." Are you familiar with any of these
69. 2:54uh passages?
70. 2:55I'm familiar. I can add to them. Uh the
71. 3:0020 2950 the signs are only with Allah
72. 3:06because they ask him why are not signs
73. 3:08sent down to him from his Lord. The
74. 3:10signs are only with Allah. Yeah, we get
75. 3:13it. And you are the messenger of Allah.
76. 3:16So he can give them to you.
77. 3:18And I am only a clear warner.
78. 3:21Just a warner.
79. 3:22Well, I mean, if you are a warnerer from
80. 3:25Allah, then he has to prove that you are
81. 3:28a warner.
82. 3:29Yeah. Why should we listen to you?
83. 3:30That's the question.
84. 3:31It doesn't add up. I mean, it doesn't
85. 3:33make sense. Who Who taught him logic?
86. 3:37What school he went to? Uh 1759.
87. 3:42It says, "And nothing has prevented us."
88. 3:44Allah is talking. Nothing has prevented
89. 3:46us from sending signs except so there's
90. 3:50something
91. 3:50something that the former people denied
92. 3:54them.
93. 3:56Oh, I mean they rejected them.
94. 3:58Therefore, no miracles for you.
95. 3:59Yeah. We sent Moses and people were
96. 4:02against him. We sent Jesus, people were
97. 4:04against him even with signs. Why waste
98. 4:06them on Muhammad?
99. 4:08Yeah. This is by the way this is a
100. 4:09terrible response because some people
101. 4:11believed based on miracles.
102. 4:13Exactly. Exactly.
103. 4:14So in every community when miracles
104. 4:16happen some people believe and some
105. 4:17people don't believe. And then he's
106. 4:18saying but because some people didn't
107. 4:20believe therefore no miracles for you.
108. 4:23The problem here when you read the
109. 4:26hadith
110. 4:27you find tons
111. 4:30of miracles. Tons. By the way, he's
112. 4:34shooting water out of his fingers.
113. 4:36Oh, yeah. And multiplying the food. It
114. 4:38reminds me deéja vu.
115. 4:40Mhm.
116. 4:40And then he does like sometimes even for
117. 4:43nothing, he does a miracle. He went
118. 4:46outside because he wanted to um do his
119. 4:50nature call and then he couldn't find a
120. 4:54barrier between him and his companion.
121. 4:56So he called two trees and he puts them
122. 4:58together so they can hide him from other
123. 5:00people. And he does his stuff. And then
124. 5:03the people just the trees just go apart.
125. 5:06So So lots of miracles in the sources
126. 5:10that were written like two centuries
127. 5:11after the time of Muhammad.
128. 5:12Exactly. And you know why? Because
129. 5:16Muslims were uh confronted by Christians
130. 5:20in Iraq and Syria. They were like, "Hey,
131. 5:22you want us to believe in your prophet?
132. 5:25What are his signs, his miracles?" And
133. 5:28they went to the Quran. They were like,
134. 5:29"Uh."
135. 5:31Mhm. Well, I mean, just give us some
136. 5:34some time and here you go. Yeah, here
137. 5:37here we have some. The ink's still wet,
138. 5:39but uh but we got these.
139. 5:40But the Quran actually denies them.
140. 5:43People didn't believe in miracles, so
141. 5:45I'm not sending any. And the Quran says
142. 5:48it clearly. The hadith are contradicting
143. 5:51the Quran.
144. 5:52Mhm. Um and actually uh the Quran gives
145. 5:56an example. Well, the Quran says that
146. 5:58his it gives his one miracle because you
147. 6:01you read surah 29:50. Let me read it
148. 6:04with the next verse and people will see
149. 6:06what Muhammad's miracle really is. And
150. 6:08they say, "Why are not signs sent down
151. 6:10upon him from his Lord?" Say, "The signs
152. 6:12are only with Allah and I am only a
153. 6:14plain warner. Is it not enough for them
154. 6:17that we have revealed to you the book
155. 6:20which is recited to them?" Most surely
156. 6:22there is mercy in this and a reminder
157. 6:24for a people who believe. What clearly
158. 6:26was not enough since they are asking. I
159. 6:29mean was not enough. Of course it was
160. 6:30not enough.
161. 6:31Yeah. Everyone's everyone's saying the
162. 6:33same thing and it's happening over and
163. 6:34over and over again in various chapters
164. 6:36of the Quran. Hey, we hear your verses.
165. 6:38Why should we believe them? What
166. 6:40miracles do you have? And then of course
167. 6:42the response is what what are you
168. 6:44talking about? Is this uh lovely Arabic
169. 6:47uh poetry not enough for you? In the
170. 6:50Quran, miracles of Moses are repeated
171. 6:53over and over and over.
172. 6:56Miracles of Jesus are repeated over and
173. 6:59over. Miracles of other prophets are
174. 7:03mentioned
175. 7:05for Muhammad. None.
176. 7:07He's just a warner.
177. 7:08He's just a warner.
178. 7:09And he's got his book.
179. 7:11Yeah. I mean, other people have books
180. 7:13too before him.
181. 7:14Yeah. Lots of people have books. Right.
182. 7:16If that's a sign and a miracle, hey, I
183. 7:20wrote three of them. Three books.
184. 7:22Dosstoyki is a Dosstoyki is a prophet.
185. 7:25You're a prophet.
186. 7:26I am a prophet. I'm going to claim like
187. 7:28I'm just a warner.
188. 7:30Just a warner. You got a book.
189. 7:32Yeah. I mean, I'm just a warner. I had
190. 7:34three books actually. He had only one.
191. 7:37And I I took care of it. I printed it. I
192. 7:40made sure it's complete. I didn't leave
193. 7:42it for my followers on on Facebook or
194. 7:44Twitter to do the job. Anyway,
195. 7:48there are two verses in the Quran.
196. 7:51Muslims claim they are talking about a
197. 7:54miracle of Muhammad.
198. 7:56One of them is splitting the moon. In
199. 8:00surah 54:1
200. 8:02it says, "The hour has come near and the
201. 8:05moon has split in two."
202. 8:10your comments.
203. 8:11Uh yeah, my com because I know where
204. 8:13you're I know where you're going with
205. 8:14this and the later Muslim sources, they
206. 8:16they say this is miraculous, but if you
207. 8:18were reading that, you would never think
208. 8:19this has there's nothing about Muhammad
209. 8:21doing anything. No here. Uh in fact,
210. 8:23there are Muslim commentaries that say
211. 8:25this is a sign of the is talking about a
212. 8:27sign of the end times and things like
213. 8:28that. But what what what's your what's
214. 8:29your take on this?
215. 8:30Well, even when they say it happened,
216. 8:33the the the witnesses they gave us um
217. 8:36they are not really witnesses. Some of
218. 8:38them they were born later.
219. 8:41And when I diged each one they mention
220. 8:46some of them they were in Medina because
221. 8:48they they say the miracle happened in
222. 8:49Mecca.
223. 8:50Some of them they were not born and some
224. 8:53of them it's a weak narrative. They
225. 8:56contradicted each other. He says one
226. 8:59thing here one thing there. My question
227. 9:02to Muslims,
228. 9:04who became a believer through that
229. 9:08miracle?
230. 9:11Zero. None.
231. 9:14He splits the moon.
232. 9:18Nobody.
233. 9:19Mhm. Give me one. Second question. Did
234. 9:24any of the big companions, the big names
235. 9:29talked about this? Omar
236. 9:32Abu Bakr
237. 9:33seems like they would have been talking
238. 9:34about it quite a bit if he split the
239. 9:36moon.
240. 9:37I mean come on splitting the moon
241. 9:41Abu Bakr
242. 9:43Ali none.
243. 9:46So where is it? Yeah. So that that's an
244. 9:49ongoing problem. So we know from the
245. 9:51Quran people are repeatedly challenging
246. 9:53why hasn't he been sent down with
247. 9:55miracles? And we know that later Muslims
248. 9:58are claiming that he performed miracles
249. 10:00because wherever they go, Christians and
250. 10:02others are asking them what miracles did
251. 10:04he perform if you want us to believe in
252. 10:05him.
253. 10:06And then the question becomes when
254. 10:07they're coming up with all these claims,
255. 10:09ah, he was shooting water out of his
256. 10:11fingers and so on. And
257. 10:12then the question is, well, how come the
258. 10:14Quran is denying the miracles? And then
259. 10:16it's ah right here split the moon when
260. 10:18you would never conclude that this is is
261. 10:20if you just read the Quran, you would
262. 10:22never conclude that it's talking about
263. 10:23the miracle. The second one is 171.
264. 10:27Exalted is he who took his servant
265. 10:30Muhammad by night from al- masjid alam
266. 10:33to al- masjid. He took him from Mecca
267. 10:37right away to the holy temple.
268. 10:40Mhm.
269. 10:42What do you think?
270. 10:43Uh how many witnesses were there of
271. 10:45that?
272. 10:46Well, remember by night.
273. 10:48So no witnesses were there and and
274. 10:51that's the reason why it happened at
275. 10:53night.
276. 10:54So even if you're saying that this is a
277. 10:57miracle, it's Muhammad claiming that
278. 11:00something happened.
279. 11:01Yes.
280. 11:01And so no nothing that anyone could
281. 11:03witness. It would just be taking
282. 11:04Muhammad's word for it.
283. 11:06And actually some sources they say it
284. 11:07was a a dream.
285. 11:09Yeah. I Yeah. He supposedly never left
286. 11:11his bed. So he's got some sort of vision
287. 11:13or dream.
288. 11:13Yeah.
289. 11:14About about taking this journey.
290. 11:16Yeah.
291. 11:16And that's the miraculous and he claims
292. 11:18it and therefore that's the miraculous
293. 11:20kind. He was riding this weird animal,
294. 11:23angel, some kind,
295. 11:25donkey, monster thing.
296. 11:26Yeah. And he had to tie him when he got
297. 11:29there and and there are all kind of
298. 11:32questions. Why you tie him? Do you think
299. 11:33he's going to run away? Somebody will
300. 11:35take him later like all kind of stuff.
301. 11:37Keep your flying donkey monster up.
302. 11:40And the problem is till today they claim
303. 11:43al- masjid a holy temple belongs to them
304. 11:46because somebody went there because of
305. 11:48this miracle. Mhm.
306. 11:50They claim they they have ownership of
307. 11:52that
308. 11:52because Muhammad in a dream or some sort
309. 11:55of vision saw himself go there on his
310. 11:57flying donkey and therefore it's his.
311. 12:00Yes.
312. 12:00Interesting. All right. So, uh,
313. 12:04Madrid is mine, too. I dream of going
314. 12:06there.
315. 12:08So, here's the here's the situation.
316. 12:10You've got
317. 12:12Moses and his prophethhood being conf
318. 12:15confirmed with extremely miraculous
319. 12:19signs that were very clear. If you you
320. 12:21could still deny him, you could still
321. 12:22reject him, but it's clear what you're
322. 12:24rejecting there. U you've got Jesus
323. 12:27performing miracles. I mean, healing
324. 12:30people, uh feeding thousands of people
325. 12:33and so on. Yeah.
326. 12:34And this is in our earliest sources.
327. 12:36Even even the even the unbelievers had
328. 12:39to attribute his miracles to demons.
329. 12:41They couldn't deny that he was doing
330. 12:42things so they would say, "Ah, he's
331. 12:44doing these things by the power of
332. 12:45demons." We get to Muhammad, he's
333. 12:47challenged over and over and over and
334. 12:49over again in the Quran. Why can't you
335. 12:51be uh why why weren't you sent down uh
336. 12:54miracles like those who came before you?
337. 12:57Because I am a warner.
338. 12:58His response is he's a warner. Hey,
339. 13:00check out uh my uh lovely Arabic poetry.
340. 13:04And then the only solution for his
341. 13:06followers were to make things up about
342. 13:07him and to try and read a couple of
343. 13:10miracles into the Quran and they make no
344. 13:11sense. If Muhammad had split the moon,
345. 13:13some of these revelations where he's
346. 13:14being challenged on miracles come were
347. 13:16revealed after that supposedly happened.
348. 13:18So the correct response to why has why
349. 13:20haven't you been sent with miracles
350. 13:22would have been what are you talking
351. 13:23about? I split the moon.
352. 13:25Yeah.
353. 13:25But he never says that because it didn't
354. 13:27happen. And so you're just left with
355. 13:30supposedly Allah's final and greatest
356. 13:33messenger making some of the most absurd
357. 13:35excuses for why he has no real evidence
358. 13:39that he's a prophet. So here again, if
359. 13:42you want evidence that Muhammad is a
360. 13:44true prophet, you're going to have to
361. 13:46look somewhere else because you're not
362. 13:47going to find it in miracles.
