- 0:00How to properly Garrison and not be a
- 0:02burden? Well, give me 10 minutes and
- 0:05I'll give you some of the best tips on
- 0:07how to properly Garrison and King shot.
- 0:10You can also use these tips during
- 0:11Castle battles, Sanctuary, Fortress, and
- 0:15Outpost battles. But first, let's divide
- 0:18the video into five parts so it's easier
- 0:20to follow. First, we'll talk about the
- 0:22three key roles of players during
- 0:24Garrison. Second, how to properly swap
- 0:27your heroes from offense to defense
- 0:29during Garrison. Third, possible troop
- 0:32ratios you can use. Fourth, the
- 0:34importance of Garrison refill. And
- 0:37lastly, Garrison manipulation. Okay? So,
- 0:40let's start with the three key roles of
- 0:42players in Garrison. Rally leader,
- 0:45Garrison captain, and rally joiners.
- 0:48The rally leader is basically the
- 0:50strongest player in the Garrison.
- 0:52This guy has the highest overall stats
- 0:55out of everyone, which means his buffs
- 0:58and all three hero skills will apply to
- 1:00the whole defensive rally. So, how do
- 1:03you know if he's the strongest? Well,
- 1:05simple. Just check the war report. The
- 1:08player you see under our bonus source,
- 1:11that's your guy. Next is the Garrison
- 1:13captain. This player doesn't really need
- 1:16to be the strongest one. As long as he
- 1:18has a big rally capacity, that's already
- 1:20good enough and he must stay at the
- 1:22number one spot inside the Garrison. And
- 1:24by the way, your rally leader can also
- 1:27be your Garrison captain, too. Since we
- 1:29all know the strongest players usually
- 1:31have bigger rally capacity anyway,
- 1:33right? Lastly, the rally joiners. These
- 1:37players are the ones contributing troops
- 1:39to the Garrison and they can also
- 1:41provide one priority expedition skill
- 1:43from their captain slot. And just so you
- 1:46know, the first four rally joiners below
- 1:48the Garrison captain will give
- 1:50additional bonus expedition skills on
- 1:52the Garrison board.
- 1:54That's why it's important to make sure
- 1:57those four players have the highest
- 1:59level expedition skills possible.
- 2:02Now, let's jump to the second part.
- 2:05How to properly swap your heroes from
- 2:08offense to defense during Garrison. It's
- 2:10actually pretty simple. Just deploy your
- 2:13defensive heroes even while your
- 2:15offensive heroes are still inside the
- 2:17Garrison. Never pull out your squad
- 2:19immediately. Keep that in mind.
- 2:21>> [music]
- 2:21>> Then around 5 seconds before your
- 2:23defensive march arrives, recall your
- 2:25offensive heroes from the Garrison. That
- 2:28way, the switch happens smoothly once
- 2:30the new troops enter.
- 2:32Just check this sample video.
- 2:34Let's say my current hero captain in the
- 2:36Garrison is Howard, but I don't want
- 2:38Howard to stay there. Instead, I want
- 2:41Gordon to become the captain.
- 2:43So, this is how I do it. I just click
- 2:46the Garrison, click dispatch troops,
- 2:49choose my defensive hero, then deploy.
- 2:52After that, I wait around 5 seconds
- 2:54before I recall Howard from the
- 2:55Garrison.
- 2:57And just remember, like I said earlier,
- 2:59never pull out your squad immediately
- 3:01because it's still better to have some
- 3:02troops inside just to be safe. And
- 3:05that's it, done already. I switched
- 3:07Howard to Gordon without breaking any
- 3:09Garrison rules. Regarding troop ratios
- 3:12as joiners, it really depends on the
- 3:14situation.
- 3:16For an offensive rally ratio, most of
- 3:18the time people stick with a 50 20 30
- 3:22setup.
- 3:23It just performs well in general,
- 3:25especially when you're joining rallies
- 3:26led by heroes like Chen and Amane as
- 3:29captains.
- 3:31For defensive rally ratio, it's usually
- 3:33around 60 20 20. That setup feels more
- 3:37stable and can take heavier hits without
- 3:39falling apart too easily.
- 3:42But honestly, there's no strict rule for
- 3:44it.
- 3:45Depending on your generation or how your
- 3:47setup looks, you might also see 70 30 or
- 3:51even 60 40 working better in some
- 3:53situations.
- 3:55Next, how Garrison refill actually works
- 3:58in real [music] battles. During Outpost
- 4:00or Castle battles, you'll often get hit
- 4:03by double or even triple rallies. What a
- 4:05lot of players don't realize is that
- 4:08your Garrison refill timing should
- 4:10[snorts]
- 4:10start the moment the enemy rally begins
- 4:13marching.
- 4:14To track it, just watch the very first
- 4:16rally. Pay attention to how many seconds
- 4:19it takes from the moment it leaves to
- 4:21when it actually lands on your building.
- 4:23That gives you your base reference. Once
- 4:26you have that, you match it with your
- 4:28own Garrison march time so you can time
- 4:30your reinforcements properly and get
- 4:32that instant refill after each hit.
- 4:35To check your own Garrison march time,
- 4:36it's pretty simple.
- 4:38Just tap your Outpost or Castle, click
- 4:40Garrison, then dispatch, and before you
- 4:43hit deploy, you'll see a timer in
- 4:45seconds right at the top of the deploy
- 4:46button. That's your march time.
- 4:49So, for example,
- 4:51we're defending a Garrison and we're
- 4:53about to face a double rally.
- 4:56First, you need to take note of how many
- 4:58seconds before the first rally hits.
- 5:00That will be your base timing for when
- 5:02to deploy your refill.
- 5:04So, yeah, we need a little bit of math
- 5:06here.
- 5:07Just keep in mind that you only need
- 5:09around 1 to 2 seconds delay after the
- 5:12first rally hits before you refill the
- 5:14Garrison. In my situation, I already
- 5:17know the march times of the opponents.
- 5:19GP's march time is 27 seconds, Trashy's
- 5:22march time is 24 seconds. [music]
- 5:25Well, GP's rally will hit first, so I
- 5:27need to focus on his timing and send my
- 5:30refill around 1 to 2 seconds after GP
- 5:32hits before Trashy lands. And just so
- 5:35you know, my own march time is 37
- 5:37seconds. So, basically, GP's 27 seconds
- 5:41minus my 37 seconds gives me a 10 second
- 5:44difference. Since I want my refill to
- 5:46land 1 to 2 seconds after GP hits, I I
- 5:49subtract another 1 to 2 seconds from
- 5:51that 10-second gap. That means I should
- 5:54send my refill around 8 to 9 seconds
- 5:57before GP marches. I'm not a math genius
- 6:00either, but that's basically how I do
- 6:02it. So, let's apply that to the actual
- 6:05battle. The goal here is for me to march
- 6:08around 8 to 9 seconds before GP marches.
- 6:12In this scenario, since we're waiting
- 6:14for GP to send his rally, that becomes
- 6:17our timer. No need to click anything or
- 6:20overcomplicate it. We just watch the
- 6:22countdown here and wait until it reaches
- 6:24around 8 or 9 seconds, then send the
- 6:26refill.
- 6:30Then 12, 11, 10, 9, then deploy.
- 6:34That's it.
- 6:39Don't mind the second timer, by the way.
- 6:41That's Trashy's rally timer. The
- 6:43important thing is I only had around a
- 6:452-second delay, and that's already a win
- 6:47for me because I know once I refill the
- 6:49troops, Trashy's rally will have a hard
- 6:51time breaking our garrison.
- 7:01And my refill is in.
- 7:03Hope this video didn't confuse you too
- 7:05much. Just keep practicing the garrison
- 7:07refill timing. It really helps a lot
- 7:09during battles. Oh, by the way, before I
- 7:12forget, you can also use gems to speed
- 7:14things up. So, if you mess things up or
- 7:17forget to time the refill properly, just
- 7:19use gems on your march, and you'll be
- 7:21all good from there.
- 7:23All right, last part. Garrison
- 7:25manipulation, how it works, and why it
- 7:28actually matters. First thing, only R4
- 7:31and R5 can do this. So, ideally, your
- 7:34garrison captain and leader should be
- 7:35R4s since they're usually the ones
- 7:37handling everything. If they can't
- 7:39manage it mid-fight, then just let
- 7:41another R4 or R5 take over and do the
- 7:43adjustments.
- 7:45The whole point of Garrison manipulation
- 7:47is to control who sits where in the
- 7:49Garrison list, especially the captain or
- 7:52leader and the top four joiners.
- 7:55Those top four spots are important
- 7:57because they're the ones giving extra
- 7:59expedition skill bonuses to the whole
- 8:01Garrison. Even though the Garrison
- 8:03battle report doesn't instantly show
- 8:05which joiner skills are active during
- 8:07Garrison, unlike attack rallies where
- 8:09you can see everything right away, it
- 8:11still works the same way. The top four
- 8:14joiners will always provide those extra
- 8:16buffs, but you can still verify those
- 8:18four joiners while your opponent is
- 8:19rallying your castle or building.
- 8:22You know the blue rally screen? You can
- 8:24check it there.
- 8:25So, basically, you want the joiners with
- 8:28the highest level expedition skills
- 8:30sitting right below the Garrison
- 8:32captain.
- 8:33As for the Garrison leader, his position
- 8:35isn't really that critical. He can stay
- 8:37wherever in the Garrison. And like I
- 8:40mentioned earlier, the leader can also
- 8:41take the captain role if needed. You
- 8:44might be wondering, how do you actually
- 8:46manipulate the Garrison? It's basically
- 8:48just managing the order by appointing
- 8:50and relieving the rally captain over and
- 8:52over. Whenever you relieve a captain,
- 8:55that player drops to the bottom of the
- 8:57list. So, by doing this in the right
- 9:00order, you can slowly move players
- 9:02around and push your desired joiner ones
- 9:05into those top four spots right below
- 9:07the Garrison captain. It takes a bit of
- 9:09coordination, but once you get used to
- 9:11it, it makes a big difference.
- 9:14To wrap things up, this is the summary
- 9:16of the video you just watched so you
- 9:18don't forget it. Number one,
- 9:20remember your role.
- 9:22If you're the Garrison leader, make sure
- 9:24you've got the fastest hands possible,
- 9:26or at least a saved formation for both
- 9:28your Garrison and offensive heroes,
- 9:31because once you capture a building,
- 9:32your setup is usually offensive first,
- 9:34right? Like Amadeus, Jabel, or Merlin if
- 9:38you're in generation two. Then right
- 9:40after you capture the building, you
- 9:41immediately switch to your defensive
- 9:43heroes like Zoe, Hilda, and Saul. For
- 9:46joiners, don't send low-level troops.
- 9:48Always send your highest-level troops.
- 9:51Keep the right troop ratio and make sure
- 9:53you pick the correct hero captain needed
- 9:56for the garrison. For swapping heroes in
- 9:58the garrison, always remember to never
- 10:01pull out your squad immediately. Just
- 10:03wait for the proper timing. For garrison
- 10:05refill, always take note of enemy march
- 10:07timings and send your troops based on
- 10:09that. Remember the 1 to 2 second delay.
- 10:14Lastly, for garrison manipulation,
- 10:17let all our force practice it. So, when
- 10:20the main manipulator isn't available, at
- 10:22least everyone still knows how to do it.
- 10:25If you made it this far, don't forget to
- 10:27licky-licky that little like button.
- 10:30And if you're still watching, just type
- 10:31meow
- 10:33in the comments so I know you made it to
- 10:34the end.
- 10:35It really helps the channel while I keep
- 10:37making more videos like this for you.
- 10:40So, I'll see you in the next one. Adios.
