- 0:00A Lockheed Martin vice president saying
- 0:01the company holds a dozen crashed UFOs,
- 0:04glowing orbs linked to cancer, a giant
- 0:06black cube hovering over a California
- 0:08air base watched by Air Force pilots.
- 0:11These are just a few of the claims in
- 0:12Out of the Shadows, the new memoir from
- 0:14Jay Stratton, the man who led the
- 0:16Pentagon's UAP Task Force. I read it
- 0:18cover to cover and these are 10 of the
- 0:20things that I found interesting.
- 0:24Who is Jay Stratton?
- 0:27Why should we care what Jay Stratton
- 0:28says? Because roughly 16 of his 33 years
- 0:31in military and intelligence service,
- 0:33investigating UFOs was part of his
- 0:34actual job. He enlisted in the army in
- 0:361989 at just 17, later served as an
- 0:39intelligence officer in the Air Force
- 0:40Reserve, completed three deployments in
- 0:42support of operations in Kosovo and
- 0:44Bosnia, and earned his degree from
- 0:46Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
- 0:48From there, he worked as a civilian
- 0:49aerospace engineer [music] at Naval Air
- 0:51Systems Command, testing new weapons and
- 0:53technologies before moving into naval
- 0:54intelligence in 2001. In 2005, he was
- 0:57promoted and moved to the Defense
- 0:59Intelligence Agency, where he became
- 1:01chief of air and space [music] warfare.
- 1:03And in 2006, he deployed to Baghdad
- 1:05alongside the CIA.
- 1:06Stratton's UFO work started around 2008,
- 1:09>> [music]
- 1:09>> when he got involved with AATIP, a DIA
- 1:11program that studied UFOs and other
- 1:13anomalous phenomena until its funding
- 1:15ended around 2010. In 2017, he helped
- 1:17push UFO disclosure from behind the
- 1:19scenes. The plan was for colleagues like
- 1:21Lue Elizondo to go public and get the
- 1:23media talking while Stratton stayed
- 1:24inside the government and briefed
- 1:26members of Congress and senior [music]
- 1:27officials as their interest grew.
- 1:29Then in 2020, the Pentagon named
- 1:31Stratton the first director of the brand
- 1:33new UAP Task Force, [music] a Pentagon
- 1:35task force to study UFO reports from
- 1:37across the military and intelligence
- 1:38community, especially cases [music]
- 1:40backed by multiple sensors. He retired
- 1:42in early 2022 as a senior intelligence
- 1:44[music] executive. Those two government
- 1:46posts, AATIP and the UAP Task Force, are
- 1:49where most of the book's wildest
- 1:50material regarding UFOs comes from.
- 1:52Let's get into it.
- 1:53>> I thought
- 1:54joining the army
- 1:55in 1989
- 1:57that I would be chasing UAP and working
- 2:00in topic.
- 2:02It's like it's like
- 2:03amazing career to have. Almost 33 years,
- 2:06over 16 of those were investigating UAP
- 2:09and non-human intelligent life on behalf
- 2:10of the US government.
- 2:16>> One.
- 2:17A Lockheed Martin VP said the crash
- 2:19retrieval program is real.
- 2:21The most explosive part of the book
- 2:22comes from Stratton's conversations with
- 2:24Dr. James Ryder, a vice president at
- 2:26Lockheed Martin Space Systems from 2005
- 2:29to 2011, who spent nearly 40 years at
- 2:32the company. Ryder died in 2018, but in
- 2:35early 2009, physicist Hal Puthoff and
- 2:37Eric Davis arranged a secret meeting
- 2:39between Ryder and Stratton.
- 2:41Over months of private meetings, Ryder
- 2:43opened up about what he called the
- 2:44legacy program.
- 2:45Ryder's name has since surfaced
- 2:47publicly. Lue Elizondo has named him as
- 2:49the Lockheed executive who wanted to
- 2:50hand over recovered UFO material to
- 2:52ASAP. And at the September 2025 House
- 2:55hearing, journalist George Knapp
- 2:56testified that James Ryder was a UFO
- 2:59gatekeeper.
- 3:00>> Are any of you willing to name specific
- 3:02gatekeepers within the root cell of the
- 3:04UAP SAP Federation?
- 3:14>> You mean specific people and contractors
- 3:16that have dealt with us and kept the
- 3:17secret?
- 3:18>> individuals.
- 3:22>> Well, one of them was named Dr. James
- 3:24Ryder
- 3:26at at Lockheed.
- 3:28Um but you know, again, to to to
- 3:29emphasize, I I don't fault these
- 3:31contractors [music] for doing what they
- 3:33were asked to do by our government.
- 3:35They're supposed to lie if people ask
- 3:37about it and uh
- 3:38>> [music]
- 3:39>> intelligence agencies who who gave this
- 3:41stuff to them, CIA I think primarily,
- 3:44told them to keep it quiet and they and
- 3:46they've done that. And I I suspect that
- 3:48they'd like an off-ramp,
- 3:49>> [music]
- 3:49>> um
- 3:50that they'd like some help with figuring
- 3:51out this technology at some point.
- 3:54>> According to Stratton, James Ryder told
- 3:55him the following about the UFO cover-up
- 3:57and the crash retrieval and reverse
- 3:58engineering program.
- 4:00A US crash retrieval and reverse
- 4:01engineering program has existed since
- 4:03the 1940s. Rider said he reported to
- 4:05legendary Lockheed Skunk Works chief Ben
- 4:07Rich, who oversaw the company's role in
- 4:09[music] this program.
- 4:11At Roswell, a craft broke into two
- 4:13pieces and both were recovered along
- 4:14with non-human pilots, then sent to
- 4:16Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
- 4:18[music]
- 4:19Lockheed Martin alone holds 12 craft of
- 4:21non-human origin.
- 4:22Rider described one of them as shaped
- 4:24like a bell or an acorn with no
- 4:26controls, no seats, and no visible power
- 4:28source inside. It seemed bigger on the
- 4:30inside than the outside.
- 4:32Lockheed isn't the only contractor that
- 4:34has them. Stratton names others as TRW,
- 4:37the original [music] prime contractor,
- 4:39plus Northrop Grumman, Battelle, EG&G,
- 4:41Raytheon, and The Aerospace Corporation.
- 4:44Bodies of several different non-human
- 4:46species were recovered from multiple
- 4:47crashes. Some occupants arrived alive,
- 4:50refused [music] food, and died. Attempts
- 4:52to communicate went nowhere. Some of
- 4:54what was involved was so disturbing that
- 4:56people involved suffered mental
- 4:58breakdowns, and some took their own
- 4:59lives.
- 5:00Today, elements of the CIA control the
- 5:02program, and only elements of the CIA's
- 5:04Directorate of Science and Technology
- 5:06sees the whole picture. The Department
- 5:08of Energy plays a major role, and
- 5:10recoveries were mainly handled by the
- 5:12Air Force Special Operations.
- 5:14James Rider worked with Stratton and
- 5:16tried to transfer at least one of
- 5:17Lockheed's recovered craft ASAP. Senator
- 5:19Harry Reid backed the plan, [music] but
- 5:21a single senior official in the CIA's
- 5:23Directorate of Science and Technology
- 5:24shut it down.
- 5:26The program is compartmented so that no
- 5:27one, not even the president, has the
- 5:29full picture. And Project Blue Book was
- 5:31used to make the subject a joke. Most of
- 5:34these claims aren't new on their own.
- 5:35What's new is hearing them attributed to
- 5:37someone this senior at Lockheed Martin,
- 5:39like James Rider. Keep in mind, this is
- 5:41Stratton's account of a private
- 5:42conversation with the man who can no
- 5:44longer confirm or deny them.
- 5:46Two, strange encounters [music] at
- 5:48Skinwalker Ranch.
- 5:49In its early days, AATIP investigated
- 5:51Skinwalker Ranch in Utah, long rumored
- 5:53to be a hotbed of UFO and paranormal
- 5:55activity. The book describes some of
- 5:57what program personnel ran into at
- 5:59Skinwalker Ranch.
- 6:01DIA scientist James Lacatski was sitting
- 6:03at a kitchen table on the ranch when a
- 6:05yellowish tube-shaped structure appeared
- 6:07in midair a few feet away. It hung there
- 6:09silently for about 30 seconds then
- 6:11[music] vanished.
- 6:12On Stratton's first trip, he and two
- 6:14military aviators saw a tall dark figure
- 6:17standing in the second floor window of
- 6:19an abandoned house through night vision
- 6:20goggles.
- 6:21The house had no second floor left, just
- 6:23broken [music] beams.
- 6:25The next day he watched a silent
- 6:26triangle-shaped craft streak across the
- 6:28sky in broad [music] daylight.
- 6:30On his second trip, Stratton saw a
- 6:32figure 7 to 8 ft tall standing in the
- 6:34tree line.
- 6:35Its outline shimmering like the cloaking
- 6:37effect in the original Predator movie.
- 6:39Stratton also saw glowing orbs moving
- 6:40around the ranch at night, white, blue,
- 6:42and orange, which [music] he says moved
- 6:44as if they were conducting surveillance.
- 6:47Three, close encounters make people
- 6:48sick. One of the most troubling themes
- 6:50in the books is that UFO encounters can
- 6:52cause serious injury.
- 6:54One early case came from Dr. Kit Green
- 6:56who examined a woman who said an orb
- 6:58passed straight through her body. She
- 7:00was in perfect health at the time, but
- 7:01within weeks her condition deteriorated,
- 7:03and months later she was diagnosed with
- 7:05terminal cancer. Green concluded it was
- 7:07caused by ionizing radiation from the
- 7:09orb.
- 7:10Stratton [music] writes that people
- 7:11exposed to UFOs at close range develop
- 7:14acute symptoms, burns consistent [music]
- 7:16with ionizing radiation, neurological
- 7:18disruption, sudden onset cognitive
- 7:20impairment, and long-lasting
- 7:22psychological trauma. And he says that
- 7:24over and over those with the most
- 7:26intense exposures survived only 5 to 7
- 7:28years afterwards.
- 7:29In other words, Stratton is saying close
- 7:31exposure to UFOs can be fatal [music]
- 7:33over time.
- 7:35He was worried enough to brief the
- 7:36Deputy Secretary of Health and Human
- 7:37Services. He told him some of these
- 7:39symptoms match those reported by Havana
- 7:41Syndrome patients.
- 7:44Four, the hitchhiker [music] effect,
- 7:45when the phenomena follows you home.
- 7:48Stratton says that after his first trip
- 7:49to Skinwalker Ranch, something followed
- 7:51him home. He even coined the name for
- 7:53it. When he told the team what was
- 7:55happening, [music] he said, "I think I
- 7:56brought a hitchhiker from the ranch."
- 7:58And the hitchhiker effect stuck. Here
- 8:00are some of the things Stratton
- 8:01describes [music] happening at his home
- 8:03after investigating UFOs for the
- 8:04government.
- 8:06It started with doors opening on their
- 8:07own and footsteps in empty rooms. Then
- 8:10orbs came, swarms of red, white, and
- 8:12blue balls of light. And later small
- 8:14yellow orbs, anywhere from golf ball to
- 8:16basketball size, rising out of the floor
- 8:19and passing through walls.
- 8:21The most frightening night involved his
- 8:2213-year-old son, Johnny. At 3:00 a.m.,
- 8:25balls of light swarmed his room. Johnny
- 8:27was legally deaf and had taken out his
- 8:29hearing aids. Yet he said he could hear
- 8:31them screaming. Some of the lights
- 8:32started vibrating, turned red, [music]
- 8:34and slammed into his face, chest, and
- 8:36stomach. When Stratton ran in, he found
- 8:38his son bruised on the face and from his
- 8:40chest to his stomach,
- 8:41burning with fever, drenched in sweat,
- 8:43and struggling to breathe. They took him
- 8:45to the emergency room.
- 8:47It didn't stop there. Stratton's wife
- 8:49reported seeing a 7-ft wolf-like
- 8:51creature standing on its hind legs
- 8:53outside the house at night with black
- 8:54fur and golden eyes. As she watched, a
- 8:57glowing light opened in the trees behind
- 8:58it, and the creature stepped into it and
- 9:00vanished.
- 9:01A few days later, both of their sons saw
- 9:03the creature in the backyard and grabbed
- 9:04their hunting rifles.
- 9:06After that, the family saw what looked
- 9:08like portals open in the backyard,
- 9:10swirling 7 to 8 ft across, and
- 9:12Stratton's wife and sons said they saw
- 9:13tall, dark figures watching them from
- 9:15the inside.
- 9:17Shadow beings became a regular presence
- 9:18around the home, and sometimes these
- 9:20shadow beings would physically harm the
- 9:21Strattons, shaking them awake at night
- 9:24or hitting them in the chest. Once, four
- 9:26bleeding scratches appeared on Johnny's
- 9:28arm while he stood in a doorway.
- 9:30Stratton writes that he felt helpless to
- 9:32protect his family. Five, the phenomena
- 9:34harms dogs.
- 9:36Some of the strangest and saddest
- 9:37stories in the book involved dogs. The
- 9:39orbs inside the Stratton home would get
- 9:41the attention of the Stratton family
- 9:42dog, a German Shepherd named Ziva.
- 9:45Ziva would often bark at the orbs.
- 9:47Sometimes these orbs would pass right
- 9:49through her body, and when this
- 9:50happened, she collapsed and shook with
- 9:51violent tremors.
- 9:53Ziva eventually developed cancer and
- 9:55died, which the family suspects was
- 9:57linked to the encounters with the orbs.
- 10:00There were also strange encounters with
- 10:01UFOs and dogs at Skinwalker Ranch.
- 10:04Back in the 1990s, before Robert Bigelow
- 10:06bought the ranch, the owner watched
- 10:07three dogs bark at a blue orb and chase
- 10:09it.
- 10:10He heard yelps, then silence.
- 10:12All that was left where they were last
- 10:13seen were three greasy charred patches
- 10:16on the ground as if the dogs had been
- 10:17vaporized by the orb.
- 10:20Six.
- 10:20>> [music]
- 10:21>> High-ranking Pentagon officials say the
- 10:22UFO phenomena is demonic.
- 10:24After Stratton briefed AATIP's findings
- 10:26to the Deputy Director of the DIA, a
- 10:28former CIA officer, the official leaned
- 10:30in and told him, "You're [music] messing
- 10:31in Satan's world. You're poking demons.
- 10:34You should stop." A few days later, it
- 10:36was in writing. An official response to
- 10:38the program was chasing demons [music]
- 10:39and the DIA would refuse any more
- 10:41congressional funding for it.
- 10:43This isn't the first time we've heard
- 10:44this. Reports going back years describe
- 10:46a faction inside the defense world that
- 10:48believes the phenomena is spiritual in
- 10:49nature and these people even believe
- 10:51studying the phenomena could invite more
- 10:52of it. UFO researchers sometimes call
- 10:55this group the Collins Elite, a name
- 10:56popularized by author Nick Redfern.
- 10:59Stratton's associate, Luis Elizondo, has
- 11:00spoken on this group of Pentagon
- 11:02officials who view the phenomena as
- 11:03demonic.
- 11:04>> There are religious fundamentalists
- 11:06inside the Pentagon and inside the US
- 11:08government and specifically the
- 11:09intelligence community that have a very,
- 11:14how shall I say, strict interpretation
- 11:16of their philosophical belief system.
- 11:18>> Elizondo recounts one specific encounter
- 11:21with a high-ranking member of this
- 11:23so-called Collins Elite.
- 11:25>> He stopped me in the halls of the
- 11:27Pentagon. He said, "Have you read your
- 11:28Bible lately?"
- 11:30And I was kind of surprised by the
- 11:31question like
- 11:33I mean, I know what the Bible says. What
- 11:35May I ask specifically what you mean?
- 11:37He says, "You You know what we're
- 11:38dealing with are are demons. These are
- 11:41demonic beings and we shouldn't be
- 11:43looking at
- 11:44>> Seven. Marco Rubio was an early ally.
- 11:47Stratton writes that as early as 2018,
- 11:49then Senator Marco Rubio was one of the
- 11:51strongest allies in Congress for taking
- 11:53UFOs seriously. Rubio treated it as a
- 11:55national security issue. "Things are
- 11:57flying through our airspace and we can't
- 11:58identify them. That's a problem."
- 12:01Stratton gave Rubio and other senators
- 12:02numerous classified briefings. In one of
- 12:04them, a senator made a dummy UFO joke
- 12:06and Rubio stopped the briefing and
- 12:08called him out, telling him his behavior
- 12:09was a dereliction of his duty. The
- 12:11senator apologized. Stratton says the
- 12:13movement was lucky to have Rubio at that
- 12:15moment, and Rubio began speaking on UFOs
- 12:17in a serious, elevated manner on
- 12:19national media.
- 12:20>> Are we alone?
- 12:22>> [laughter]
- 12:23>> Um you know, look, here's the
- 12:24interesting thing for me about all this
- 12:25and the reason why I think it's an
- 12:26important topic, [music] okay? And that
- 12:28is we have uh things flying over our
- 12:31military bases and places where we're
- 12:33conducting military exercises, [music]
- 12:35and we don't know what it is and it
- 12:36isn't ours. So, that's a legitimate
- 12:39question to ask. [music] And I would say
- 12:41that um
- 12:42frankly that if it's something of
- 12:44outside outside this planet, that might
- 12:47actually be better than the fact that
- 12:48[music] we've seen some technological
- 12:49leap on behalf of the Chinese or the
- 12:51Russians or some other adversary.
- 12:53>> Eight, the UAP Task Force UFO case
- 12:56files.
- 12:57The Pentagon set up the UAP Task Force
- 12:59in August of 2020 to investigate UFO
- 13:01reports focusing on cases with multiple
- 13:03witnesses and hard data like radar and
- 13:05video.
- 13:06>> A new effort by the Pentagon to
- 13:07investigate possible UFOs.
- 13:10>> The Defense Department announcing a task
- 13:12force will review unexplained aerial
- 13:14phenomenon observed by the US military.
- 13:17>> Pentagon is getting into the business
- 13:19of investigating UFOs.
- 13:22The effort will be unveiled in the next
- 13:23several days. Members of Congress and
- 13:26the Defense Department have long
- 13:27expressed concern about the appearance
- 13:30of unidentified aircraft.
- 13:32>> Once the task force was created,
- 13:33Stratton was put in charge of running
- 13:35and assembling a team from various
- 13:36agencies with the clearances to see
- 13:38military and intelligence reports.
- 13:41Stratton heard about many military UFO
- 13:42cases. Here are a few of the cases he
- 13:44describes.
- 13:46The nuclear base triangle. At midnight,
- 13:49an air traffic controller at a US
- 13:50nuclear base, someone Stratton says he
- 13:52knows well, watched a black football
- 13:54field-size triangle hover silently about
- 13:57500 ft over the secure weapon storage
- 13:58area.
- 14:00Her supervisor saw it, too. Then it shot
- 14:02straight up more than 60,000 ft and
- 14:03vanished from radar.
- 14:05A minute later, it dropped back down to
- 14:07about 1,000 ft over the same site, then
- 14:09accelerated past 500 mph and
- 14:11disappeared. The radar station picked it
- 14:13up, too, but assumed it was a glitch.
- 14:15Less than an hour later, an Air Force
- 14:17Colonel in dress blues walked into the
- 14:19lock control room, had everyone sign
- 14:21non-disclosure agreements, and took the
- 14:22tapes.
- 14:24The Vandenberg red square. Three Boeing
- 14:26contractors at Vandenberg Air Force Base
- 14:27reported a giant red square hovering
- 14:29silently over a launch facility. Later
- 14:32that night, a security patrol saw a
- 14:33bright light coming from the ocean and
- 14:35turned into a massive black rectangular
- 14:37craft about the size of a football
- 14:39field. It hovered over the restricted
- 14:40area for about a minute and then took
- 14:42off at 1,000 mph. More than a dozen base
- 14:45personnel described seeing the same
- 14:46thing.
- 14:47The Edwards black cube. An Air Force
- 14:49test pilot told Strand that he and his
- 14:52wingman were flying F-15s over Edwards
- 14:54Air Force Base in California when they
- 14:55came across a black cube a couple of
- 14:58stories tall hanging motionless in the
- 15:00air. No heat signature, no radar return.
- 15:03They circled it until they were low on
- 15:04fuel. The pilot said it just hung there
- 15:06defying everything we know about flight
- 15:08and that it felt like it was watching
- 15:10them.
- 15:11Nine. Navy UFO encounters were
- 15:13escalating.
- 15:15Strand says that the surge of UFO
- 15:16sightings on Navy ships in the summer of
- 15:182019 was treated inside the Pentagon as
- 15:20an alarming escalation. In July 2019,
- 15:23the commander of the USS Theodore
- 15:24Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group off San
- 15:26Diego emailed Strand for help in real
- 15:28time. Each ship in the Carrier Strike
- 15:30Group was tracking 10 to 15 objects,
- 15:32[music] spheres and triangles, at around
- 15:3420,000 ft moving against the wind and
- 15:37confirmed by multiple radars. That same
- 15:39summer produced some of the most famous
- 15:40Navy footage, the USS Omaha video of a
- 15:43sphere that appears to drop into the
- 15:44ocean and the USS Russell video of
- 15:47pyramid-shaped objects.
- 15:49Skeptics argue that the pyramid shape is
- 15:50just a camera effect called bokeh.
- 15:52Strand says his team ruled that out and
- 15:54determined it was a genuine UAP
- 15:55encounter.
- 15:57And the sightings haven't stopped. In
- 15:592023, Navy Senior Chief Alexander
- 16:01Wiggins says he watched a Tic Tac shaped
- 16:03object rise out of the ocean off
- 16:04Southern California and join three
- 16:05others before they all shot off
- 16:07together. And Navy Senior Chief Wiggins
- 16:08testified about this before Congress in
- 16:10September of 2025.
- 16:12>> On the evening of February 15th, 2023,
- 16:16at [music] approximately 19:15 PST
- 16:20in the Whiskey 291
- 16:22warning area off the coast of Southern
- 16:24California.
- 16:26I was serving on board USS Jackson.
- 16:29During that period,
- 16:31I moved between the interior
- 16:33communication center, ICC-1,
- 16:36and the bridge wing correlating the
- 16:37sensor picture with visual observations,
- 16:41part of my routine responsibilities for
- 16:43surface and air picture management.
- 16:46What I observed and what our crew
- 16:48recorded was not consistent with
- 16:50conventional aircraft or drones [music]
- 16:53as they appear on our system.
- 16:57A self-luminous Tic Tac shaped object
- 16:59emerged from the ocean before linking up
- 17:02with three other similar similar
- 17:04objects.
- 17:06The four then disappeared simultaneously
- 17:08with a high synchronized near
- 17:11instantaneous acceleration.
- 17:14I observed no sonic boom and no
- 17:16conventional propulsion signatures.
- 17:19>> Stratton's conclusions, these UFO
- 17:21incidents around Navy ships weren't just
- 17:22happening. They were increasing in
- 17:24number and scope. Right after the 2019
- 17:26incidents, Stratton was summoned by Dr.
- 17:28Michael Griffin, the Under Secretary of
- 17:29Defense for Research and Engineering.
- 17:31After the briefing, Griffin leaned back
- 17:33and said, "I don't understand any of
- 17:34this." When Stratton asked whether he'd
- 17:36explained it badly, Griffin said that
- 17:39the briefing was excellent, but I don't
- 17:40understand is how we got here. How did
- 17:42this get ignored for so long?
- 17:4510. [music] The Trump administration has
- 17:47backed transparency in both terms.
- 17:49Stratton writes that the Trump
- 17:50administration supported UFO
- 17:51transparency in both [music] the first
- 17:53and second terms.
- 17:55In 2020, Stratton briefed Dr. Aaron
- 17:57Miles, whom he describes as the White
- 17:59House's chief scientist, [music] on the
- 18:00UAP Task Force's findings. Miles told
- 18:02him, "You've piqued my interest. Keep me
- 18:04in the loop." And within days, the
- 18:06National Security Advisor asked for a
- 18:07briefing, [music] too. In June 2020,
- 18:09Stratton briefed Treasury Secretary
- 18:11Steve Mnuchin,
- 18:12>> [music]
- 18:12>> who told him he'd waited 58 years for
- 18:14this briefing.
- 18:15Then Mnuchin explained why he asked for
- 18:17it. "It's because [music] I've been
- 18:18thinking about what the economic impacts
- 18:19and other impacts would be if the
- 18:20president decides to go on the podium
- 18:22and tell the American people that we are
- 18:24not alone. Stratton says it was made
- 18:26extremely clear that this was something
- 18:27President [music] Trump was considering.
- 18:29In August 2020, Stratton also briefed
- 18:31the director of national intelligence
- 18:32John Ratcliffe. A fellow East Texan
- 18:34[music] who took it seriously and asked
- 18:36to be kept in the loop. Ratcliffe would
- 18:38later talk about UFOs publicly in a
- 18:39serious measured way.
- 18:41>> We need to find out when there are and
- 18:42there very clearly are now hundreds of
- 18:45unexplained sightings meaning that
- 18:47there's no natural phenomenon involved,
- 18:49there's no visual disturbance, it's not
- 18:51clutter or debris or birds or anything
- 18:54else but objects that
- 18:57demonstrate technologies that seem to
- 19:00defy the laws of physics and
- 19:01capabilities that we don't have as the
- 19:03world's superpower.
- 19:04>> The relationship continued into Trump's
- 19:06second term. In February 2026, President
- 19:09Trump ordered federal agencies to
- 19:10release their UFO files
- 19:12>> [music]
- 19:12>> and the first batch came out that May.
- 19:13>> President Trump says he is ordering
- 19:15government agencies to come clean about
- 19:17UFOs and the possibility of alien
- 19:20encounter.
- 19:21>> And last night from President Trump, a
- 19:23new promise. I will be directing the
- 19:25Secretary of War and other relevant
- 19:27departments and agencies to begin the
- 19:29process of identifying and releasing
- 19:32government files related to alien and
- 19:34extraterrestrial life.
- 19:36>> Stratton says he advised the White
- 19:37House, the Department of War and the
- 19:38Director of National Intelligence on how
- 19:40to release the UFO files. Those meetings
- 19:42are classified but he describes helping
- 19:44officials understand [music] where to
- 19:45look. Stratton says that the White House
- 19:47and the DNI took his advice to not
- 19:49punish people who come forward and to
- 19:50offer immunity to those who do. And he
- 19:52says that the administration has been
- 19:54briefed on the reality of the phenomenon
- 19:55but he still isn't sure if they'll go
- 19:57all the way on disclosure.
- 20:01So, those are 10 things that jumped out
- 20:03at me from Out of the Shadows, the new
- 20:04Jay Stratton book. To recap, we covered
- 20:06a Lockheed executive allegedly
- 20:08describing the UFO crash retrieval
- 20:09program in depth, strange encounters at
- 20:11Skinwalker Ranch, UFO encounters linked
- 20:14to cancer and other harm,
- 20:16the phenomena following Stratton home,
- 20:18the phenomena's harmful impacts on dogs,
- 20:20>> [music]
- 20:21>> Pentagon officials calling the phenomena
- 20:22demonic, Marco Rubio was an early ally.
- 20:26The UAP task force strangest military
- 20:28cases. The increase of Navy UFO
- 20:30encounters beginning in 2019. And the
- 20:33Trump administration support [music] for
- 20:34disclosure.
- 20:35Stratton's critics will rightly point
- 20:37out that most of these claims are merely
- 20:39stories lacking evidence.
- 20:41Whether you take every claim at face
- 20:42value or not, it's remarkable to hear
- 20:44this from a person who once ran the
- 20:45Pentagon's UFO task force.
- 20:47If this topic interests you, I'd
- 20:49recommend picking up a copy of the book
- 20:51as there's a lot more info in it that I
- 20:52couldn't fit in here.
- 20:53Which of these claims surprised you the
- 20:55most? Let [music] me know in the
- 20:55comments.
