Tonton's TIPS to Properly Register in Tundra Arms League — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00Hello. Hello friend. It's Ton H. Today
- 0:03we're going to talk about the Tundra
- 0:05Arms League which is a fun tournament.
- 0:07I'm going to just focus on the
- 0:09registration part. The key um the key
- 0:13things you should know. So you can make
- 0:14a quick video. I think it's an important
- 0:16one to really consider things. It's not
- 0:19that as simple as that. I have made a
- 0:21video when we had the S1 of Tundra
- 0:24Armagings which was only for the very
- 0:26first few states which I kind of cover
- 0:28it all in details. Uh it's a you know 64
- 0:32legion tournament over two weeks. So
- 0:34there is an elimination week where four
- 0:37alliances qualify for the finals and
- 0:39stuff like that. So it's like a big
- 0:40tournament with very cool skin. Um I'm
- 0:43not going to review all of it today. I
- 0:45have a guide a video guide that I will
- 0:46link in the description and I have a
- 0:48written guide on my discord as well for
- 0:50that. So that part like the event
- 0:52explanation is already covered and
- 0:54that's another video. Today we're going
- 0:56to talk only about registration. So the
- 0:59first thing you need to know is that it
- 1:00will be a three weeks event. So next
- 1:02week will be registration
- 1:04um and I will talk a bit about that more
- 1:06what you should do in that in that
- 1:08video. Then during SVS prep that will be
- 1:10the registration. Then in two weeks from
- 1:12now you will have the first phase which
- 1:14is elimination. So you will go from 64
- 1:17legion to four legions. And then the
- 1:19third week will be um for the f the four
- 1:23teams basically the four legions to
- 1:25fight against each other to find the two
- 1:28finalists that will go to the final that
- 1:30will be in three weeks. And that mean
- 1:32that if you register to Tundra Amlings,
- 1:35whether you lose at the first match or
- 1:37whether you go to the final, you're not
- 1:39going to be able to play the next Tundra
- 1:42uh the next next Foundry, sorry, the
- 1:44regular Foundry. So, you will have to
- 1:46choose. So, if like the the way to work
- 1:48with the tournament to explain it very
- 1:50quickly is like the if you lose, you are
- 1:52eliminated and you do not progress
- 1:54further. But the first match will be
- 1:56Monday, then there will be a match
- 1:57Wednesday, then so that's 64 alliances
- 2:01that you do. You know, it's like similar
- 2:02like Foundry. The same map, the same
- 2:04rules, everything is the same. It's just
- 2:06a tournament format, right? So Monday
- 2:08you will have uh 64 uh legion fighting
- 2:11and the the the matchmaking is selecting
- 2:13the 64 legion. That will be important to
- 2:16remember. It's not the 64 top alliances,
- 2:18is the 64 legion and you can have two
- 2:20legion per alliance. Uh so Monday you
- 2:23have 64 then you know Wednesday you have
- 2:2532 because alpha eliminated then you
- 2:28have 16 then you have eight on Sunday
- 2:30and at the end of Sunday you have four
- 2:32left which will be for the finals the
- 2:34week after right um and you have up to
- 2:36three matches the week after if you go
- 2:38to the final between two and three
- 2:39matches. So that's in total if you go to
- 2:42the final that's six to seven uh fun
- 2:45matches within two weeks that you will
- 2:47do in the middle of the you know middle
- 2:49of the week not only on set day. So
- 2:51that's a bit that's a lot of fun. That's
- 2:53crazy. That's going to require a lot of
- 2:54speed ups, a lot of teleports, a lot of
- 2:56buffs. It's, you know, it's going this
- 2:58team is going to go very insane about it
- 3:00if they want to win. So that's something
- 3:02you have to understand. If if if that's
- 3:04too much fun for you, then you can
- 3:06always opt out. Do not register to
- 3:08Tundra Arms and chill and do the regular
- 3:11Fundry next Sunday. It's the first time
- 3:14we have it ourselves. So you know I
- 3:16don't know what will be the matchup in
- 3:18two weeks from now but they might be a
- 3:19bit easier because all the important
- 3:21player they will be in the tournament
- 3:23right everyone that cares will be in the
- 3:25tournament so you will have to register.
- 3:27So the way it works again what I said
- 3:29was 64 top uh legions so not alliances
- 3:33legions that you register um you can
- 3:36register up to 50 people it's 10 more
- 3:39than the regular foundry so you register
- 3:4130 people and you can have uh 20 backup
- 3:44bically and that's really important to
- 3:46register a full team because it's a
- 3:48tournament you cannot cheat the matchm
- 3:50matchmaking if you register with 15
- 3:52you're not going to be in a nar
- 3:54tournament version of the tournament
- 3:55you're not going to be with the best and
- 3:57the strongest teams out there. And the
- 3:59matchmaking is taking the top 20 player
- 4:01for points. So you could technically
- 4:03register like I I mentioned on the
- 4:05regular foundry with 15 to hope for a
- 4:07better matchmaking like we do regularly.
- 4:09But that's not going to work because
- 4:10it's a tournament. So everyone going to
- 4:12register with 50 and that's what will be
- 4:14necessary because there are two reason
- 4:16for that. What you want to have a 50
- 4:18player roster is because you will have
- 4:20up to six seven matches. So not everyone
- 4:22will be available every time. Um when
- 4:25you register you select three times. So
- 4:27similar to Foundry you select you select
- 4:29either 2 UTC 7 UTC so AM in the morning
- 4:3312 UTC noon middle of the day 14 UTC or
- 4:3619 UTC right and you will select three
- 4:39of these. Your opponent will select
- 4:41three of these. So at least one of these
- 4:42will be matching. They will be so you
- 4:45you might play one day at 12 UTC. The
- 4:47day after you might play at 19 UTC. the
- 4:49day after you're going to play at 14 UTC
- 4:51because your opponents will have
- 4:52different time slot than you, right? And
- 4:54always one in matching. So that's why
- 4:56it's important to register with 50
- 4:57people is because you need the backup
- 4:59and if someone get burned, if someone
- 5:01get road, they can get out for 12
- 5:03minutes and you can have someone else
- 5:04joining. So you are not like 25 on the
- 5:07battlefield anymore. So that's really
- 5:08important to try to find the strongest
- 5:10player you can and player that are
- 5:12available for the next two weeks at
- 5:14these days on this time. So the first
- 5:16week the matches are Monday, Wednesday,
- 5:19uh Friday, Sunday and that will be the
- 5:21elimination week. So you will move on
- 5:23only if you win to the stage and then
- 5:25the week after they're going to be
- 5:26Tuesday, Thursday and the final will be
- 5:29Saturday. Um so that's kind of how it
- 5:31works and all of that you can spectate
- 5:33it. So if you have a if you have it on
- 5:35your state, you can go online and
- 5:37spectate any matches so you can see the
- 5:39strategies I use. So that's kind of an
- 5:40overview of the of the event that I you
- 5:43know I wanted to make very short. I have
- 5:44a video that goes more into depth.
- 5:46Right. So what I wanted to talk about
- 5:50today particularly now that you kind of
- 5:51have some context is how to register and
- 5:54you have mostly three options and you
- 5:56will see you can mix them. Um either you
- 5:58do like a big alliance. So it could be
- 6:00your state alliance. So for us we have
- 6:02from state 948. So we have an alliance
- 6:04called 948. So we are talking is like
- 6:06you know do we register one legion in
- 6:08948? Do we register two legion in 948?
- 6:11and you pick the best player of the top
- 6:13four alliance for us. But that could be
- 6:14two, three, four, five depending on how
- 6:16many you have on your state, put them
- 6:18into one alliance and um and you know
- 6:22register there, right? Um the other
- 6:25alternative could be to uh just register
- 6:28with your own alliance if you are very
- 6:30strong and hope for the best. The
- 6:31challenge here I find is that it's tough
- 6:34to get 50 very active people that will
- 6:36be able to play all week. you know if
- 6:37you register with your own alliance if
- 6:39you don't do like a state go peration on
- 6:41that I'm not sure you will get 50 active
- 6:44player that's one of the challenge the
- 6:45third option will be to pair alliances
- 6:48so that's a cool idea I had today so I
- 6:50don't know me don't know if it's cool I
- 6:51find it cool I don't know if you liked
- 6:52it but it's like let's say for us we
- 6:54have four alliance what we could do we
- 6:56could do two alliance so a plus b and we
- 6:59could do c plus d so we do the weakest
- 7:01with the strongest and so number one and
- 7:03four together and maybe number two and
- 7:05three together something like that And
- 7:07we will have that tournament regularly.
- 7:09So one time you like A and D are paired
- 7:12together for example. So the first time
- 7:14they do the foundry tournament in
- 7:17alliance A and then the next time they
- 7:19do it in alliance D. So every alliance
- 7:21has a chance to take part of it and you
- 7:23kind of move player around between two
- 7:25alliances. It's less movement. It's it's
- 7:27a bit easier. So I see mostly these
- 7:29three options. you you might be able to
- 7:31do like uh you know you do your state
- 7:33alliance for the main niche gen that you
- 7:36want to register so like your strongest
- 7:3850 player of your state and you want to
- 7:40register a second one maybe more for fun
- 7:42so you you merge actually two or three
- 7:44alliance so you can mix and match these
- 7:46that that's two option I can see so
- 7:47instead of merging two alliances or you
- 7:49know you could merge three for that and
- 7:51you do you know first tournament you do
- 7:53in alliance A uh second allian second
- 7:56tournament you do in alliance B and
- 7:57third alliance third tournament you do
- 7:59in alliance and C right you can rotate
- 8:01so that the main three options you have
- 8:03understand that for example if you play
- 8:05froze dragon tyrant what they do they do
- 8:07a zone of state so they take 50 100
- 8:09state they put them together what they
- 8:11do in tren like the more states the more
- 8:14slot for alliance there is to be so we
- 8:16we've seen like 85 and 60 so for the
- 8:19first dragon tyrant we've done there was
- 8:2160 alliances on the battlefield and you
- 8:23could uh be selected if you are in the
- 8:25top 60 in term time of power and the
- 8:27next one because the range of state was
- 8:29a bit bigger We had 85 here depending on
- 8:32the groups because you have 64 legion
- 8:35and they cannot do six the the the
- 8:38tournament format. So the tournament
- 8:40format is locked to 64 people because
- 8:42you go from 64 to 32, 32 to 16, 16 to 8,
- 8:458 to 4, 4 to 2, and 2 to1 and that's
- 8:48your final and there are up to seven
- 8:50rounds, right? So they're just simple at
- 8:51that. So they cannot make it one
- 8:53tournament will be 80, one tournament
- 8:55will be whatever like it's meant to be
- 8:5764. So I believe it will only be 64. So
- 9:00what it means in term of matchmaking is
- 9:02if the range of state is bigger, it will
- 9:04be a lot more competitive even the
- 9:06entire range. So then you might want to
- 9:08consider uh one alliance for your state
- 9:10and focus on one legion. And again, it's
- 9:12not the power of the alliance. It's the
- 9:14power of the legion. And the power of
- 9:15the legion is defined by the top 20
- 9:17player like in Foundry. You can see it.
- 9:19It's it's all in in the rules. You know,
- 9:21I've seen it. I've read it last time. We
- 9:23went we went through it on camera. There
- 9:25is a video about it. There is a written
- 9:26summary on my discord. So, you know, you
- 9:28don't have to take my words for it. It's
- 9:30just all written here. So because of
- 9:32that it could be a lot more competitive
- 9:35than tyrant or it could be a lot less
- 9:36because let's say you have less state
- 9:39you have somehow because they will you
- 9:41know they will put together the same
- 9:42generation of heroes with the same
- 9:44generation of building that's how it
- 9:45work for SVS matchmaking that's how it
- 9:47work for proagonal rent matchmaking they
- 9:49are pairing people of similar power and
- 9:51that's based on building levels and hero
- 9:53generation else if you are paired with
- 9:55someone you know you are fire crystal
- 9:57eight and they are fire crystal 10 and
- 9:59you are gen seven and they are gen
- 10:01like you're not going to win, right?
- 10:02It's totally unfair. So, they merge
- 10:04based on that. So, depending on the date
- 10:06of the events, more or less states are
- 10:08with the same heroes as you and the same
- 10:10building as you, right? Because these
- 10:12are bigger cycles. So, you might have
- 10:13some matchmaking that are a bit easier
- 10:15because there are a lot less states in
- 10:17the pool and we will start to understand
- 10:19that, you know, um now because the last
- 10:21time it was a very small amount of
- 10:22states. So, it was really hard to see
- 10:24the matchmaking and how it works. It was
- 10:25like the very first few states of the
- 10:27game, you know, like it was up to state
- 10:29100 or something. So it was not a big
- 10:30pool. Now it's like I don't know I've
- 10:32seen people we are 948 and seen people
- 10:35is,600ish
- 10:37getting it and maybe even in the 2,000.
- 10:39So the pool is a lot bigger. So we'll
- 10:40start to understand how they are
- 10:42matching the servers together and all of
- 10:44that. But you could if you feel that
- 10:46your matchmaking is a bit light because
- 10:48you don't have that many states then
- 10:49maybe try to register two three
- 10:51alliances. Maybe you do one very strong
- 10:53legion and then you do like chill for
- 10:55points um uh legions and then you know
- 10:58if you the opposite if you are in a very
- 11:00strong like there are a lot of states
- 11:02and you are really worried then you know
- 11:03go for one maybe use one alliance either
- 11:05is it your state alliance or you just
- 11:07join one of the stronger alliances right
- 11:10and when you select players really just
- 11:12do not think about power because it's
- 11:13totally pointless to have one of your
- 11:15stronger player that cannot play in the
- 11:17week because they are too busy to work
- 11:18like some spenders actually have very
- 11:20busy lives because they need to make
- 11:22money that they are spending. So they
- 11:24have like high paying job. They are you
- 11:25know business owners and stuff. So you
- 11:27might want to check with your spenders
- 11:29like their flexibility when it comes to
- 11:31paying playing. Sorry. And you know it's
- 11:33the same for all of us. It's not because
- 11:34you are spender that you have a more
- 11:35busy life. But many of us you know have
- 11:37kids have commitments have stuff and you
- 11:39might not be able to play. So you want
- 11:41to find a balance between the stronger
- 11:42player to make it to the registration
- 11:45and on top of that you might want uh to
- 11:48get active player that can play on
- 11:50Monday. uh you know every day of the
- 11:52week bic bically because the first week
- 11:54is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday
- 11:56and second week is Tuesday, Thursday,
- 11:58Saturday, right? Depending a bit on on
- 12:00you know if you go up there uh maybe
- 12:03just quickly why it will be worth uh
- 12:05competing that's uh the the rewards you
- 12:09get for the you know the first
- 12:10alliances. So you have very good uh
- 12:12skins overall, you know, if you are the
- 12:14first alliances to win, you have like a
- 12:16you have um a statue, you have some
- 12:18banners, you have a different HQ, you
- 12:20have a different alliance banner. So
- 12:21like there's a big display of power and
- 12:23a big display of we are very good at it.
- 12:25So that's really cool. That's why do you
- 12:27want to use your state alliance for
- 12:29example? H because this will be on an
- 12:32alliance that nobody is on except for
- 12:34SVS and except for Tundry. So maybe it's
- 12:37cool. Maybe maybe you want to use a real
- 12:39alliance for it, right? But you you can
- 12:41still have everyone in it. And then you
- 12:43will start to have like you see like
- 12:45there are 64 legions. So you can see the
- 12:48rewards. That's for the legions. So if
- 12:51you manage to go to the top four, so the
- 12:53second week you start to have you know
- 12:54good reward. You have a bit of material.
- 12:56You have a lot of currency for the
- 12:57shops. You have another shop as well. Uh
- 13:00which I did not cover too much. So that
- 13:01I will take that opportunity to cover. I
- 13:04covered in the last video the events
- 13:06generally, right? But because we did not
- 13:08add it and I was really busy with real
- 13:10life, I did not cover like the shops and
- 13:12everything. So, I'll make more videos
- 13:13about it. But today, we talk about
- 13:15registration. But maybe why you should
- 13:17register is you're going to get, you
- 13:18know, decent rewards. And even for the
- 13:20the allian that do not participate a
- 13:22lot, that's per legion. So that's up 50
- 13:25players going to get 20 shards, 50
- 13:27players. So you multiply that by by 50
- 13:29for your alliance. And you know their
- 13:30alliance reward as well. So they are not
- 13:32as good but you can get a lot of tickets
- 13:34and voucher that you can use in a shop
- 13:36right and as foundry you have rewards
- 13:39per match. So in the elimination phase
- 13:42the first week uh rewards are you know
- 13:44if you reach the same amount of point in
- 13:46front exactly the same. It's just the
- 13:48the reward changing a bit but you can
- 13:49get some of the marching speeds because
- 13:51that's matching accelerator. This will
- 13:53be very important. Um and there you get
- 13:56a bit less if you lose you get a bit
- 13:57more if you win. And then if you start
- 13:59to go to the finals, you see that you
- 14:01start to get a lot more of these if you
- 14:03win and a lot more of still a lot more
- 14:05of these if you lose than the week
- 14:07before. But you know, you don't get
- 14:08don't get as much if you lose. So that's
- 14:10quite big and that's why I was saying
- 14:12like you have mostly kind of let's talk
- 14:15maybe one one point to finish the video.
- 14:18Um if you're a very early state and you
- 14:21have that kind of event you know let's
- 14:23say you are gen 1 2 3 4 5 even six seven
- 14:26it's kind of still true for us it start
- 14:28to be less true and then when you are
- 14:29gen 10 it's a it's a lot harder but this
- 14:32you will have team of very strong
- 14:33players so it will be very hard to go
- 14:35around and zero people like you likely
- 14:37play but if you are in the early days of
- 14:39the of the game I I believe it's going
- 14:41to still be doable so one of the
- 14:44strategy I'll suggest and we'll talk
- 14:45cover that more in in later videos um
- 14:48will be to play quite aggressively for
- 14:50you know states that are a bit younger
- 14:51to burn some people as much as you can.
- 14:53That's really important in Foundry and
- 14:55you know every time we got crushed or we
- 14:57crush people is when we really manage to
- 14:59zero you know 10 15 of their players so
- 15:01they have to leave for 12 minutes and
- 15:02then you take control of the map and you
- 15:04know that that just it's nobodying from
- 15:06here but when you are start to be where
- 15:08we are like gen 8 9 10 it will be only
- 15:10very strong players so you will not be
- 15:12able to to booty little players and
- 15:14people will know how to reinforce we
- 15:16play the game for long enough for the
- 15:18little I've seen in term of like videos
- 15:20from the first tournament that happened
- 15:21you know in state 200 is that it's
- 15:24mostly like you know a group of teams
- 15:27structured teams of people that you know
- 15:28they have like a few rally leaders and
- 15:30they teleport and they take control of
- 15:31the map with rallies. So it's like
- 15:33garrisoning with proper heroes it's
- 15:35rallying with proper heroes. So it's
- 15:37like you have a group of players so that
- 15:38might be your strategy. You you you
- 15:40decide a few three four five six rally
- 15:42leaders. You can split the map in two in
- 15:44three in four as building to rally
- 15:46leaders and rally joiners and they move
- 15:48together right. So and you might want to
- 15:50be on voice to adjust say okay you are
- 15:53one of the you are rally leader number
- 15:54three but you are against rally leader
- 15:56number one of the opponent. So you
- 15:58cannot take any building. So you might
- 15:59want your rally leader number one to
- 16:01take your spot without changing your
- 16:02team or swap teams whatever you do and
- 16:05you as a rally leader number three you
- 16:06go somewhere where their rally leader is
- 16:09weaker and you have a chance right
- 16:10things like that. So you want to have
- 16:11like a structure like that but you would
- 16:13you won't be able to go run and zero
- 16:15people that much. uh you might try a bit
- 16:17if there are weaker player that go out
- 16:19of their base but that's not going to
- 16:20work. So you will start need to think
- 16:22about like proper strategy split the map
- 16:25create teams uh and that you have a
- 16:27chance to train on Sunday evening this
- 16:29week because Sunday we will have fun and
- 16:30then the tournament start next week and
- 16:33then you know it's going to be crazy
- 16:34bically
- 16:36it's going to get crazy but that's all I
- 16:38wanted to say for now more videos to
- 16:40come about to draw arms league to cover
- 16:42a bit more that the shops and all of
- 16:44that and the strategies but now you have
- 16:46an overview of the event in the previous
- 16:47video link in the description you have a
- 16:49what to do with the registration. Um,
- 16:52yeah, and that's that's all I wanted to
- 16:54say. So, thank you very much for
- 16:55watching and I see you in the next one.
