  1. 0:01Hey, in this episode we will talk about how we will
  2. 0:05do a Title selection, That's mean how we can chose
  3. 0:08our research title for Master or PhD
  4. 0:12The research title should have a relation with the problem ..
  5. 0:17the major question and the problem statement
  6. 0:21There's a components and products into the chapter 1
  7. 0:24Which is the introduction or the problem definition
  8. 0:26one of this component is the research title
  9. 0:29i hope in the start and in the first steps we agree in the research title
  10. 0:35in order to every concept we explain if you are following me in every episode
  11. 0:42every concept you will applly in the title or the subject that you have chose
  12. 0:49So the problem is how we can write the title ?
  13. 0:52The first step is always we should reformulate the title in form of a question
  14. 0:57How will be this question ?
  15. 0:59the question can be in format of :
  16. 1:00What are the determinants ?
  17. 1:02What are factors ?
  18. 1:04What hypothetical
  19. 1:05What are the determinants
  20. 1:07How to measure ?
  21. 1:08or in the format of : Measuring ....
  22. 1:11We want the question have a point really focused
  23. 1:15and we have a question that we can reply in it
  24. 1:17So all this how we will achieve it ?
  25. 1:19But first please let us agree that we will make the title in the form of a question
  26. 1:23Try to show in title the problem of the subject that you work in
  27. 1:27We will come later to your research title, you thesis title, or your PhD
  28. 1:34It can turn into two parts
  29. 1:36two big component
  30. 1:37Scientific component
  31. 1:40A scientific component that reflects all the content inside it
  32. 1:42So it's normal that the title of the research of master's degree or doctorate
  33. 1:48that it changes with the change of the message
  34. 1:51that's a little hard ..
  35. 1:53and some of our university in Egypt, or outside Egypt
  36. 1:57place restrictions because the topic has not been changed
  37. 1:59but in reality this is not required
  38. 2:01because i'm as a researcher, along the time, i learn more, I read literature more
  39. 2:07I am exposed to new ideas because of literature
  40. 2:09so this reflected on my definition of the topic and the research problem
  41. 2:14and reflected on my reading to literature and the design
  42. 2:17of course, this will be reflected in the form and content of the title in which I work
  43. 2:24do not forget that it is possible later when we collect data and perform analysis
  44. 2:30we can get an updated of the title
  45. 2:33so that we guarantee two big things
  46. 2:34It is useful for science, and it is not in violation of science
  47. 2:39and it gives a new advantage
  48. 2:41and in same time it is catchy
  49. 2:43so when I see your title It should attract me among all other titles and scientific thesis in the same topic
  50. 2:52so the second component is you should chose a product or service
  51. 2:57so what's a product or service ?
  52. 2:59you can choose a specific computer or a mobile
  53. 3:04you can choose a specific series of mobile
  54. 3:06you can choose a specific orientation
  55. 3:07a specific service
  56. 3:08like a profit or nonprofit service
  57. 3:10like banking services in the mobile
  58. 3:16so you can choose the service like you want
  59. 3:22but I say that when the service you choose is close to the domain that you like, you understand
  60. 3:28that is easy for you to read its content, whether it is scientific or professional reading
  61. 3:34so if you do this, is better for you
  62. 3:37Your choice of the service or the product is important
  63. 3:41and also is important that you are focusing in the product
  64. 3:43like for example if we are talking about the tablets
  65. 3:45so the tablets we have choose is in android system or windows system
  66. 3:51So what is the second component that can help me?
  67. 3:53the second component is the topic himself
  68. 3:55This means, what do you want to do in this product or service
  69. 3:57for example i want to measure the satisfaction of how to use the product
  70. 4:05or the satisfaction of the service of the customer support
  71. 4:11so in this step we tell you to choose a topic or idea for topic like
  72. 4:15productivity, satisfaction, retention, loyalty
  73. 4:19All of these are the names of ideas that you can choose,
  74. 4:23provided that you are familiar with books because in some books in the first chapter and the second
  75. 4:30bring your ideas of titles and topics
  76. 4:33so what's the next component ?
  77. 4:35we tell you to choose an industry
  78. 4:38So when you choose a specific industry to work in, this is best for you
  79. 4:41like for example in the industry of the telecom or industry of "FMCG" It could be similar
  80. 4:46for example the telecom we can consider it within the ICT,
  81. 4:52or no the telecom is alone outside the information communication technology "ICT"
  82. 4:56so the software can be belongs to industry and another industry
  83. 5:00Content industry or Telecom and ICT industry
  84. 5:03So you can choose the industry, and it is preferred inside the industry you choose the sector
  85. 5:08for in the exemple, in the construction industry you should define the sector like the cement
  86. 5:15So what can help me to determine ?
  87. 5:19Most of the stock exchanges or country It then divides the industries into specific names
  88. 5:23by a definition and characterization
  89. 5:25and divides every industry to sectors
  90. 5:27so you can choose the industry in the sector that you will work in it
  91. 5:30so what's the next component ?
  92. 5:34it's GEO, it mean that you should chose a geographical location that you will study it
  93. 5:38a place, for example you will study a country
  94. 5:41or you will study a part of a country, region, state, principality, governorate, city
  95. 5:51so you can chose two of this ? yes you can do a comparison of two provinces
  96. 5:54or a comparison of two country
  97. 5:57So we want when we choose a geographical location that we will not only affect the quality of the title
  98. 6:04but will also affect the quality of the definition and our choice of literature
  99. 6:07the next component and the last one - and I would like to mention that we are still working only at the title, no more
  100. 6:13is the customer or the segment beneficiary, but really it's not the customer but it's the beneficiary
  101. 6:18Who is really the beneficiary of this
  102. 6:20That mean the product which we ask about it and we are looking on satisfaction
  103. 6:23in the industry of software inside the information technology
  104. 6:28and who is there in country like Egypt or Arabic Saudi or Sudan
  105. 6:32so who is the customer that will benefit
  106. 6:34For example SMEs, small and medium entreprises
  107. 6:40Is it nano or micro
  108. 6:43or are they customers between the ages of 15 and 25 ?
  109. 6:47select the gender, select the demographics
  110. 6:50so all this you have study it in any knowledge has a relationship with demographics or market division
  111. 6:57so you should choose a segment
  112. 6:58so if I'm in company or a bank and I want to study the clients for that
  113. 7:03i don't need a customer i need a beneficiary (Client)
  114. 7:07Clients are new members who have not yet opened their bank account
  115. 7:12Or I want to target the plastic money or plastic services
  116. 7:17so i will go to non-banking clients
  117. 7:20So you should be as specific as possible
  118. 7:22if you merge the 6 components
  119. 7:24and your choices are determined
  120. 7:26and of course that will not be perfect from the first time, so after multiple updates and version
  121. 7:31We will have arrived in a nice idea like :
  122. 7:35What are the determinants of windows mobile satisfaction in the industry of software ITC industry in Egypt for teenagers or ....
  123. 7:53This is a quick example and at the same time different ideas for choosing each of these elements, it end in choosing a title
  124. 7:59so this is the first version of title and we will use it in the next episode and we go deeper
  125. 8:09If I find myself, I cannot make a part of this, or do not want it we can, We can adjust and update !
  126. 8:16Thank you very much and we will meet in an upcoming episode
