  1. 0:06Hello everyone, Greg Braden here. I want
  2. 0:09to begin by thanking you for sharing a
  3. 0:11little bit of your day with me today
  4. 0:13through through this media, through this
  5. 0:15video. You know, for over 30 years, I've
  6. 0:17shared with you new discoveries, new
  7. 0:20discoveries based on science through my
  8. 0:22eyes as a scientist as I as I run across
  9. 0:26these discoveries in the obscure
  10. 0:28peer-reviewed journals that uh are often
  11. 0:30very technical in nature. Discoveries
  12. 0:33that are relegated to these journals and
  13. 0:36specific segments of the scientific
  14. 0:39population, discoveries that you
  15. 0:42typically will not see in the
  16. 0:43mainstream. You don't see this stuff in
  17. 0:45mainstream classrooms and textbooks.
  18. 0:48Many of the discoveries are so new. I
  19. 0:50have medical students and medical
  20. 0:51doctors in my seminars asking me why
  21. 0:55don't we see this information in the
  22. 0:58universities? Why don't we know about
  23. 0:59these discoveries? And the reason the
  24. 1:02answer is because it often takes years
  25. 1:05for the discoveries to trickle down from
  26. 1:08the research labs and the research
  27. 1:11papers into the application of uh of
  28. 1:15everyday life of every everyday
  29. 1:16medicine. It could take 6 8 10 years for
  30. 1:19this to happen. And that's why I want to
  31. 1:21share this information with you today.
  32. 1:24Because for the 30 years plus years, 30
  33. 1:26plus years that I've offered this
  34. 1:29content in my workshops and seminars and
  35. 1:31books and tapes and audios and videos
  36. 1:34and television programs and interviews
  37. 1:36and and now podcasts, I've often
  38. 1:39referenced a discovery that was made in
  39. 1:421991 regarding the human heart. this
  40. 1:46discovery that I often embed into those
  41. 1:49larger programs. I want to isolate it
  42. 1:51and bring it to you right now because I
  43. 1:53think it's something that you can
  44. 1:55benefit from right now. I say that
  45. 1:57because I benefit from it every single
  46. 1:59day of my life and I have for over 30
  47. 2:02years. This is the discovery that was
  48. 2:04made in 1991, published in 1994.
  49. 2:08The discovery of approximately 40,000
  50. 2:11specialized cells in the human heart.
  51. 2:14They're called sensory neurites. They're
  52. 2:16essentially brain-like cells, but
  53. 2:17they're not in the cranial brain. Now,
  54. 2:20when I say they were discovered in 1991,
  55. 2:23they were always there. It's perhaps
  56. 2:26more accurate to say they were
  57. 2:27recognized in 1991, but they've been
  58. 2:30with us from the time that we emerged as
  59. 2:35anatomically modern humans onto this
  60. 2:38planet. And we know this because when we
  61. 2:40compare our genome today, the DNA in our
  62. 2:42bodies with the DNA that we can now
  63. 2:45extract from the fossilized remains of
  64. 2:48our ancient ancestors, what we find is
  65. 2:51that the genome hasn't changed. That we
  66. 2:55we've had these capabilities from the
  67. 2:58time that we emerged on this planet. So
  68. 3:01this ability that I'm going to share
  69. 3:03with you appears to be fundamental to
  70. 3:05our existence. We're simply now
  71. 3:07awakening and growing in to the
  72. 3:10capability uh of its existence and and
  73. 3:13what it can mean in our lives. All
  74. 3:15right. So the discovery 1991 40,000
  75. 3:18specialized cells in the human heart
  76. 3:21forming a neural network that thinks,
  77. 3:24feels, remembers independently of the
  78. 3:28cranial brain. Now, right there, this is
  79. 3:30this is so important because it means
  80. 3:32every experience that we have in life is
  81. 3:35registered in two places. In our cranial
  82. 3:38brain and in the neural network in our
  83. 3:41heart. If they're good experiences, no
  84. 3:43worries. Often we have experienced
  85. 3:47trauma in our lives. And we we each
  86. 3:49interpret that trauma a little bit
  87. 3:51differently. An experience that may
  88. 3:54traumatize one person may not be
  89. 3:56interpreted as trauma to another person.
  90. 3:59And there are some experiences that are
  91. 4:01so painful universally they are our
  92. 4:03traumatic experiences. And when we go to
  93. 4:06heal those experiences through
  94. 4:08counseling and through therapy, often
  95. 4:11the counseling and therapy addresses the
  96. 4:14cranial memories and that helps and
  97. 4:17that's important. But often we feel like
  98. 4:20something's missing. And when we feel
  99. 4:22that what I'm saying saying to you, what
  100. 4:24I'm sharing with you may be the answer
  101. 4:25as to why that is because the cranial
  102. 4:28therapies may not address the therapies
  103. 4:30or the the memories that that we hold in
  104. 4:32our heart. So this is a very very
  105. 4:35powerful powerful understanding that we
  106. 4:38have two independent neural networks.
  107. 4:42Here's where it gets really interesting
  108. 4:43and this is going to lead directly into
  109. 4:45what I'm going to share with you in just
  110. 4:46a few moments. You and I are the only
  111. 4:49form of life that we know of today that
  112. 4:52has the ability to self-regulate our
  113. 4:55biology in very precise ways. We are
  114. 4:58such advanced, such highly sophisticated
  115. 5:02biological
  116. 5:04systems, uh what is often called soft
  117. 5:07technology. We're not talking about
  118. 5:09computer chips and wires and and
  119. 5:11chemicals. We're talking about neurons
  120. 5:13and cell membranes and and crystal and
  121. 5:15bone functioning in our bodies in in
  122. 5:19very very powerful and profound ways
  123. 5:21that we can self-regulate
  124. 5:24through thought, feeling, emotion,
  125. 5:27belief, breath, focus. And if those all
  126. 5:30sound familiar to you, they happen to be
  127. 5:33uh the principles preserved in some of
  128. 5:35our most ancient and cherished
  129. 5:37indigenous and spiritual traditions. And
  130. 5:39I I think this is why they were
  131. 5:40preserved in the ways that they have
  132. 5:42been because they hold such a powerful
  133. 5:46potential in our bodies. Science is only
  134. 5:48beginning to to understand uh recognize
  135. 5:51and embrace this potential. So the
  136. 5:54ability to harmonize the heart and the
  137. 5:57brain, the ability to harmonize the
  138. 6:00cranial network with the network in the
  139. 6:03heart. This neural network, this is what
  140. 6:07is available to you and to me in a way
  141. 6:09that's available to no other form of
  142. 6:10life consciously, at will, and on
  143. 6:12demand. You and I are the only form of
  144. 6:14life that we can sit down in a chair
  145. 6:16like this in a moment in time or
  146. 6:18wherever you are and say in this moment
  147. 6:19I choose I choose to harmonize the
  148. 6:24neural network in my heart and my brain
  149. 6:27two separate organs but we harmonize
  150. 6:30them into one potent system in our
  151. 6:34bodies. And once we do that, we open the
  152. 6:38door to a vast array of applications
  153. 6:41that I talk about in all the work that I
  154. 6:44do, the books, the tapes, the the
  155. 6:45seminars, the workshops. I don't want to
  156. 6:48do that today. What I want today, what I
  157. 6:50want right now is I I want you to have
  158. 6:53the the access to this technique because
  159. 6:56it is one of the most profound
  160. 6:58techniques to relieve stress very very
  161. 7:01quickly. You and I are stressed every
  162. 7:03day of our lives through the uncertainty
  163. 7:05of what lies ahead. The uncertainty of
  164. 7:08of finances, of jobs, of careers, of
  165. 7:11relationships, of where to live, how to
  166. 7:13live, what's happening to our country,
  167. 7:16whatever country you live on, what's
  168. 7:18happening to the planet because we all
  169. 7:20live on this planet. That uncertainty
  170. 7:23uh triggers a level of stress, a chronic
  171. 7:26level of stress that depletes the the
  172. 7:29biology. It depletes nutrients and it
  173. 7:32compromises our immune system. If you
  174. 7:34ever needed a strong immune system, man,
  175. 7:36I can't think of a of a better time than
  176. 7:38right now in the midst of a global
  177. 7:40pandemic. However you think about that
  178. 7:42pandemic, it is taxing your immune
  179. 7:44system through stress right now. So,
  180. 7:47let's get into this. I I want to just
  181. 7:49give you a little context so that you
  182. 7:50know this is not a metaphor. This isn't
  183. 7:52make believe. I want you to see what
  184. 7:54you're accessing and then let's go
  185. 7:56through this exercise together. So the
  186. 7:59first thing that I'd like to share with
  187. 8:00you is is an image of precisely what it
  188. 8:03is that we're talking about and what
  189. 8:05we're going to be dealing with, what
  190. 8:06we're going to be accessing within our
  191. 8:08hearts. What you're seeing on the screen
  192. 8:11are called intrinsic cardiac neurons.
  193. 8:14These are the neurons that we have
  194. 8:17access to in our heart that also can
  195. 8:21communicate with our brain through
  196. 8:23principles of self-regulation that we're
  197. 8:25we're actually going to do together here
  198. 8:27in just a few moments. But I want you to
  199. 8:29see this so that you know that we're not
  200. 8:31talking about a metaphor or a
  201. 8:33makebelieve or a wishful concept. You
  202. 8:36know, so often in literature and in our
  203. 8:38history when we talk about the heart,
  204. 8:40it's from a very lofty uh philosophical
  205. 8:43perspective and and it's good and the
  206. 8:45heart fulfills those lofty philosophical
  207. 8:48ideals. But what I'm talking to you
  208. 8:50about right now is rock solid science.
  209. 8:52This is peer-reviewed science. These are
  210. 8:55the neurons located in the heart that
  211. 8:58form the neural network. The image that
  212. 9:00you're seeing now, all of those little
  213. 9:02blue dots illustrate where this neural
  214. 9:04network is. This begins to tell the
  215. 9:07whole story. Look, look at where this
  216. 9:09neural network is. It's not at the
  217. 9:10bottom of the heart. It's at the top
  218. 9:12near the places number one where the
  219. 9:16valves open and close to send the blood
  220. 9:19into our bodies and number two where the
  221. 9:24arteries and the vessels enter uh the
  222. 9:28heart so that the blood can come into
  223. 9:30the heart or leave the body. These
  224. 9:32neurons are around those specific
  225. 9:35places. Now the way that the valves open
  226. 9:38and close send a pressure wave through
  227. 9:41the blood that is a language unto
  228. 9:44itself. Your heart speaks a language to
  229. 9:47your body through the pressure wave that
  230. 9:50is created every time the the heart
  231. 9:53beats and that pressure wave tells the
  232. 9:57body. It sends a signal and it tells the
  233. 9:59body what kind of chemistry to release
  234. 10:01into the body. whether it's a stressful
  235. 10:03chemistry or if if you're feeling safe.
  236. 10:06It's a different it's a healing and
  237. 10:07rejuvenating chemistry or uh it it tells
  238. 10:11the body what kinds of hormones need to
  239. 10:14be addressed and how to address those.
  240. 10:16All from the way that the valve is
  241. 10:19opening and closing. And that valve
  242. 10:21opening and closing is largely regulated
  243. 10:25through these neurons. And the neurons
  244. 10:29are responding to you and the way that
  245. 10:31you feel about yourself, about your
  246. 10:35relationship to the world. If you feel
  247. 10:36safe, if you feel threatened, if you
  248. 10:39feel a sense of well-being, or if you
  249. 10:41feel a sense of high anxiety, chronic
  250. 10:43anxiety with no way to reconcile that
  251. 10:46anxiety. So that is one function of
  252. 10:49these these sensory neurites near the
  253. 10:51valves. They're doing the same thing
  254. 10:53near the arteries. the blood that enters
  255. 10:55the blood that leaves these are
  256. 10:58regulating blood pressure uh and the way
  257. 11:01that blood uh is is flowing in the body.
  258. 11:05You and I live in a stressful world. Our
  259. 11:07world is changing as as I I mentioned
  260. 11:10earlier and we're not being giving given
  261. 11:13any way to reconcile the stress. We're
  262. 11:17not given any sense of where the change
  263. 11:19is leading. All we know is that what we
  264. 11:22used to know in the past is gone. And
  265. 11:25we're in the middle of some event that
  266. 11:29is changing our families, our
  267. 11:31communities, our society, our nations.
  268. 11:33It's changing the way we work. It's
  269. 11:34changed the way we think about money,
  270. 11:36about security, all of that. But we're
  271. 11:39not really being given a way to
  272. 11:41reconcile that so that we have relief
  273. 11:43from the stress. That's why I want to
  274. 11:45share this technique with you because
  275. 11:47you and I are going to self-regulate our
  276. 11:50body to give our bodies relief from the
  277. 11:53stress within even though nothing may
  278. 11:56have changed in the world around us to
  279. 11:58give us that relief. This is a very very
  280. 12:00high form of mastery when you can find
  281. 12:03relief from a stressful world even
  282. 12:06though the stressful world is still out
  283. 12:08there. It's a very very high form of
  284. 12:09mastery. So, I I want you to see that
  285. 12:12we're dealing with something that is
  286. 12:13real. New scanning technologies now make
  287. 12:17this even more real. What you're going
  288. 12:19to see is a three-dimensional scan of
  289. 12:21the human heart where this neural
  290. 12:24network resides. So, what you're seeing
  291. 12:26right now, this is this is the scan. I
  292. 12:28love this technology. Uh, and the yellow
  293. 12:31that you see near the top of the heart,
  294. 12:33this is where the neural networks or the
  295. 12:36neural network of the sensory neurites
  296. 12:39resides. I'm going to highlight it for
  297. 12:40you right there. You can see it. So, uh,
  298. 12:43this is important because once you see
  299. 12:45this, you cannot unsee it. Once you see
  300. 12:47this, you have a sense that you're
  301. 12:49dealing with something real and that you
  302. 12:51are communicating with a a physical part
  303. 12:56of your body that simply is not
  304. 12:58acknowledged in the mainstream.
  305. 13:00typically that that's beginning to
  306. 13:02change. But most uh most high school and
  307. 13:05college techbook textbooks are are not
  308. 13:07talking about this this neural network
  309. 13:09in the way that we are. So now that you
  310. 13:11know now that you know what we're
  311. 13:14dealing with, how do we use it? How is
  312. 13:16it applied? You are the only form of
  313. 13:19life. You and I, we're in this together.
  314. 13:21We're the only form of life with the
  315. 13:23ability to consciously self-regulate the
  316. 13:26neurons in the heart and how they
  317. 13:28communicate with the neurons in the
  318. 13:30brain. We are the only form of life that
  319. 13:34can take the neural network of the heart
  320. 13:36and the brain, two separate organs, but
  321. 13:39harmonize this neural network into a
  322. 13:42single potent system in our bodies. And
  323. 13:45this is where our highest levels of
  324. 13:47mastery begin. Because once we create
  325. 13:51this harmonized state, it opens the door
  326. 13:54to a plethora a vast array of potentials
  327. 13:58and possibilities that are the subject
  328. 14:00of my books and tapes and videos and
  329. 14:03audios and workshops beyond the scope of
  330. 14:05what I'm going to talk about here. Right
  331. 14:06here, I just want you to have the
  332. 14:08technique so that you can relieve the
  333. 14:10stress at least once a day, maybe
  334. 14:12multiple days or multiple times through
  335. 14:15throughout your day. So what we're
  336. 14:17talking about visually two organs the
  337. 14:19heart and the brain but look at this
  338. 14:21becoming a single system by sending the
  339. 14:24correct signal from the heart and the
  340. 14:27brain establishing a link a very low
  341. 14:30frequency link 0.1 hertz really really
  342. 14:34low frequency when we can set up a
  343. 14:38relationship send a signal between our
  344. 14:40heart and our brain of 0.1 hertz we
  345. 14:43establish this harmony all right You
  346. 14:45know, I just I I just have to do this
  347. 14:47because I am a geologist and the
  348. 14:49geologist to me wants you to know why
  349. 14:520.1 hertz is so important. You know, why
  350. 14:54isn't it why isn't some other why isn't
  351. 14:56it A440 for the musicians? I'm a
  352. 14:58musician. You know, it's one of the
  353. 14:59questions I asked. Why not A440 or why
  354. 15:02not some other frequency?
  355. 15:040.1 hertz is a very very important
  356. 15:07frequency on this planet. So, what
  357. 15:09you're seeing is a cross-section of the
  358. 15:11magnetic fields of the Earth. And when
  359. 15:16we look at what are called the magnetic
  360. 15:18field line resonance frequencies, I
  361. 15:21don't want to get really technical, but
  362. 15:22I want you to see that this is this is
  363. 15:24real. What you're seeing is a a graph of
  364. 15:28these field line resonant frequencies.
  365. 15:30The first spike where the red arrow is,
  366. 15:34the frequency, it's not zero, it's not
  367. 15:350.2. Look at this. It's 0.1.
  368. 15:38That first spike is the primary field
  369. 15:44line resonance frequency of the planet
  370. 15:46we live on. What that means is that when
  371. 15:49we harmonize our heart and our brain to
  372. 15:53that frequency, not only are we
  373. 15:55harmonizing the systems within us, we
  374. 15:58are harmonizing our system to the bigger
  375. 16:01system of the planet we live on. Wow.
  376. 16:04That is where your healing begins. When
  377. 16:07you bring your heart and your brain and
  378. 16:10your biological systems and your organs
  379. 16:12and your cells and your glands into
  380. 16:15alignment with the fundamental frequency
  381. 16:18of the system of our planet, that is
  382. 16:21where your healing begins. This is where
  383. 16:22you find your power. Now, if we lived on
  384. 16:25another planet, someone asked me once,
  385. 16:27yeah, it would probably be a different
  386. 16:28frequency. But right now, we're on Earth
  387. 16:31and 0.1 hertz is the frequency that we
  388. 16:34want to to harmonize to. So, so when we
  389. 16:38harmonize our body, and this is a I love
  390. 16:41this image. Not only are we harmonizing
  391. 16:44the systems within us, we're harmonizing
  392. 16:47ourselves to the planet we live upon.
  393. 16:50In a very real sense, 0.1
  394. 16:54hertz is love to your body. When you
  395. 16:59create this harmony between your heart
  396. 17:01and your brain and line your systems,
  397. 17:02you are loving yourself in a language
  398. 17:05that your body, your biology recognizes
  399. 17:09and that love is now extending. You're
  400. 17:12harmonizing yourself. You are loving
  401. 17:14mother earth. This is a very very
  402. 17:17powerful technique. Three very basic
  403. 17:20steps that we're going to use. I'm going
  404. 17:22to talk you through them again with
  405. 17:24permission from the Institute of Heart
  406. 17:25Math. their science parallels so many of
  407. 17:29the traditions that I've found in
  408. 17:31studying and living with indigenous
  409. 17:33peoples today uh as well as in the
  410. 17:36literature of the ancient and the the
  411. 17:38forgotten peoples of our past that
  412. 17:40recorded the techniques of how they
  413. 17:43achieve these high levels of harmony
  414. 17:46because when you do this this is when
  415. 17:48you relieve the stress. This is when you
  416. 17:50enhance your immune response. This is
  417. 17:52when you trigger the longevity enzymes
  418. 17:55that allow for regeneration,
  419. 17:57rejuvenation, and healing and so much
  420. 18:00more we talk about in the other
  421. 18:01programs. So, let's do this together.
  422. 18:03I'm going to invite you to share this
  423. 18:05with me.
  424. 18:07And please do this only if you're in a
  425. 18:09place that's safe. Do not do this if you
  426. 18:11are driving any kind of machine or
  427. 18:14operating any heavy machinery. Please do
  428. 18:17not do this. Find a place that is safe
  429. 18:20where you can allow your uh your focus
  430. 18:25100%.
  431. 18:26To move to yourself without having being
  432. 18:29worried about what's happening in the
  433. 18:30world around you. So, we're going to
  434. 18:33shift our focus from our mind to our
  435. 18:36heart. We're going to slow our breathing
  436. 18:38and we're going to create a very
  437. 18:39specific feeling. And I'm going to talk
  438. 18:41you through each of these right now. So,
  439. 18:44you won't need any notes or pencil and
  440. 18:45paper. Let's just do this together. If
  441. 18:48you have not already done so,
  442. 18:50I'm going to invite you to close your
  443. 18:53eyes
  444. 18:56and allow your awareness
  445. 18:58to move from the world around you to the
  446. 19:01world within you. And I'm going to do
  447. 19:03the same thing right here. Allow your
  448. 19:05awareness to move from your outer world
  449. 19:08to your inner world.
  450. 19:11And the first step is to shift your
  451. 19:13focus from your thinking mind into your
  452. 19:16feeling heart. And one of the ways that
  453. 19:20scientists have found to help us achieve
  454. 19:22this is exactly what our indigenous
  455. 19:26ancestors and ancient traditions invite
  456. 19:28us to do. And that is to simply touch
  457. 19:32your heart in a way that's comfortable
  458. 19:35for you with a finger or two fingers or
  459. 19:37a full hand or an open palm. whatever is
  460. 19:40comfortable for you.
  461. 19:43And allow your awareness to go to the
  462. 19:45place where you feel that sensation,
  463. 19:47where you feel that touch.
  464. 19:52This is the first step.
  465. 19:55And everything we do for the next two
  466. 19:57steps
  467. 19:59will reflect this focus. It will all
  468. 20:01happen as if the focus is coming from
  469. 20:04the heart. It's all about the heart.
  470. 20:07The second step, I'm going to invite you
  471. 20:10to slow your breathing just a little bit
  472. 20:12slower than you would typically breathe.
  473. 20:14And I know that's different for
  474. 20:16everyone. So, the key is to exhale for a
  475. 20:20period of time that is longer than the
  476. 20:23inhale.
  477. 20:24Exhale for a period of time longer than
  478. 20:27the inhale. The reason for this is
  479. 20:29because this is a language to the vagus
  480. 20:32nerve and the parasympathetic nervous
  481. 20:35system telling your body that you are
  482. 20:37safe.
  483. 20:39So for ease, I'm going to recommend
  484. 20:41maybe five seconds on the inhale and 8
  485. 20:45seconds on the release. And you can
  486. 20:47tailor this to whatever it is that you
  487. 20:49need to do. With your awareness in your
  488. 20:51heart, I'd invite you to breathe in for
  489. 20:565 seconds with me. begin
  490. 21:03and release for eight.
  491. 21:11And just feel that shift in your body.
  492. 21:13Inhale again on five seconds.
  493. 21:21Release for eight.
  494. 21:29Let's do this again. 5 seconds. Inhale.
  495. 21:40Release.
  496. 21:49To the best of your ability. If you can
  497. 21:50continue to breathe just about that pace
  498. 21:54or whatever pace works for you,
  499. 21:58breathing
  500. 22:00in slower than you would typically
  501. 22:01breathe and releasing, allowing your
  502. 22:04release time to be longer than the
  503. 22:06inhale.
  504. 22:07It's the second step. The third step is
  505. 22:12where we send this very powerful signal
  506. 22:14from our heart to our brain 0.1 hertz.
  507. 22:19What scientists have found is that when
  508. 22:21we can feel the feelings of well-being,
  509. 22:27uh, of gratitude, appreciation, care,
  510. 22:31compassion, positive life affirming
  511. 22:34feelings. These are the kinds of
  512. 22:36heart-based feelings that establish this
  513. 22:39low frequency link to the human brain.
  514. 22:420.1 hertz is the optimum frequency.
  515. 22:46for convenience just to make this easy
  516. 22:48and universal for all of us. I think
  517. 22:50it's probably easy for all of us to feel
  518. 22:52gratitude.
  519. 22:54Whatever is happening in the world, we
  520. 22:56all know it could be worse. It could be
  521. 22:58worse in our lives. I'm deeply grateful
  522. 23:00for the opportunity to be with you here
  523. 23:02in this way today,
  524. 23:05sharing a part of our days
  525. 23:08by remembering this primal, this ancient
  526. 23:12and primal, uniquely human experience to
  527. 23:16give oursel healing and life no matter
  528. 23:20what's happening in the world around us.
  529. 23:21So, I'm going to invite you with me to
  530. 23:24the best of your ability. Let's feel
  531. 23:25that feeling of gratitude.
  532. 23:28And I'm going to give you uh a minute to
  533. 23:31do this. Uh it will seem like longer,
  534. 23:35but if we can do this for one minute and
  535. 23:37then we'll come back and uh and talk
  536. 23:40about this experience. Okay.
  537. 23:42So, to the best of your ability,
  538. 23:45continue to breathe as if your breath is
  539. 23:46coming from your heart. Slowing that
  540. 23:49breath. And while you are slowing the
  541. 23:51breath, feel that gratitude. Just
  542. 23:54breathe in and release those feelings of
  543. 23:57gratitude with me. Begin.
  544. 24:01And you might actually in your mind say,
  545. 24:03"Thank you. Thank you
  546. 24:06for my life. Thank you for the life and
  547. 24:11the safety of my friends and my loved
  548. 24:12ones." Those are all things that we
  549. 24:14could be deeply grateful for right now.
  550. 24:19Just feel those waves of gratitude as
  551. 24:22they ripple through your body from your
  552. 24:24heart. I'm doing the same thing.
  553. 24:43Remember
  554. 25:00to breathe
  555. 25:03just a little bit slower than usual.
  556. 25:32Okay, with one more breath, I'm going to
  557. 25:35invite you to inhale
  558. 25:38And as you release that breath, slowly
  559. 25:41begin to open your eyes, become present
  560. 25:43in the space that you've created for
  561. 25:45yourself. I'm doing the same thing right
  562. 25:46here.
  563. 25:50Please do not be deceived by the
  564. 25:52simplicity of this technique.
  565. 25:56This technique has been with us
  566. 26:00in our memory and our bodies from the
  567. 26:03time that we emerged
  568. 26:05200,000 years ago. Because this
  569. 26:08technique, this state of being, the
  570. 26:10state of consciousness is the state that
  571. 26:13we find ourselves in when we're born
  572. 26:16into this world. And young people are in
  573. 26:19this harmonized state until they're
  574. 26:21conditioned out of it early in life. So
  575. 26:24if it feels familiar to you, this may
  576. 26:26help to understand why it feels
  577. 26:28familiar.
  578. 26:30As I mentioned, this technique is just
  579. 26:33the beginning. From this harmony there
  580. 26:36are so many things that we can launch
  581. 26:40into
  582. 26:41uh from this this state of optimized
  583. 26:45biology. This is the place where we we
  584. 26:48would do our uh deep states of
  585. 26:50intuition. We can enter to from here. If
  586. 26:52we're going to use affirmations, you
  587. 26:54would use them from this place. If you
  588. 26:56want to optimize your body before yoga,
  589. 26:59before uh physical performance, before
  590. 27:02martial arts, before sports, this is the
  591. 27:05place where you would do this. If you
  592. 27:06want to optimize your body before
  593. 27:09performance of of music, this is the
  594. 27:12place that you would begin and then go
  595. 27:15forward to do these things.
  596. 27:17The scientists rec recommend uh
  597. 27:20optimizing this this technique uh for
  598. 27:23about 3 minutes uh at least 3 minutes. 3
  599. 27:27minutes of this technique
  600. 27:30sends uh a signal to our body begins a
  601. 27:33cascade of chemical experiences that
  602. 27:36last up to 6 hours where our stress
  603. 27:39levels decrease. The levels of cortisol
  604. 27:42decreases. While the DHEA, the precursor
  605. 27:45to every hormone in our body, increases
  606. 27:47over 100% just from three minutes of
  607. 27:49doing this. You awaken the longevity
  608. 27:52enzymes. You strengthen your immune
  609. 27:54system just from 3 minutes of doing this
  610. 27:56because you've removed the stress that
  611. 27:59depletes the immune system.
  612. 28:01So, there's so much more that we could
  613. 28:03do from here. Truly, heartbrain harmony
  614. 28:05is just the beginning. That you now have
  615. 28:08a tool that you can use every day in
  616. 28:10your life, at least once a day in your
  617. 28:13life to give your body relief. What
  618. 28:17could be any more simple than breathing
  619. 28:19the breath of life at a slower pace,
  620. 28:22telling your body that you are safe
  621. 28:24regardless of what's happening in the
  622. 28:26world around you? You're saying, "In
  623. 28:28this place, in my domain, I am safe."
  624. 28:32and using the neurallinginguistic
  625. 28:35properties of the words and your
  626. 28:38experience of what you associate with
  627. 28:41that words to replace the anxiety in
  628. 28:44your body. You can do this if you're
  629. 28:46feeling fear. What is it you'd like to
  630. 28:48replace that fear with? If you're
  631. 28:50feeling hurt because of loss, we are all
  632. 28:53losing something. We're losing a way of
  633. 28:55life. We're losing loved ones. We're
  634. 28:57losing families. We're losing
  635. 28:58relationships. People are losing
  636. 29:00marriages. What would you like to
  637. 29:02replace the feeling of loss with? And
  638. 29:06this is a very very simple technique.
  639. 29:08Breath,
  640. 29:10language, feeling focused in the neurons
  641. 29:14of the heart. And this simple technique
  642. 29:17was the the one that I felt would have
  643. 29:20the most application for the most number
  644. 29:22of people. It's not linked to
  645. 29:24meditation. It's not linked to a
  646. 29:26religion. It is simply you honoring the
  647. 29:29way your body works through breath and
  648. 29:32word associations.
