- 0:00The main reason why you're losing money
- 0:01in the markets, which is about to sound
- 0:03crazy, it's because you're literally
- 0:05entering trades at the wrong place.
- 0:08Plain and simple. It could be a great
- 0:10trade setup that you analyzed or it can
- 0:12even be a bad trade. But the truth of
- 0:14the matter is that the entire setup is
- 0:16completely wrong if you are not taking
- 0:19it at the right place. And that's why I
- 0:21brought David here. David over the
- 0:23course of the next 30 days is going to
- 0:25be living with me until I can teach him
- 0:27how to understand and execute a
- 0:29profitable strategy where he is going to
- 0:31then turn this into his new main source
- 0:33of income. Now, over the course of the
- 0:35next 30 days, David is going to be
- 0:37living here and we're going to turn
- 0:38$1,000 into
- 0:40$100,000. We're going to be documenting
- 0:42everything, the before, the during, the
- 0:43after of his whole entire journey and
- 0:46how he goes through it. It's going to be
- 0:47his first account flip and his first
- 0:49time. Yes, David is a stranger. Now,
- 0:51over time, we've gotten to know each
- 0:53other, but about two and a half weeks
- 0:54ago, I set a application for somebody to
- 0:58be part of this life-changing
- 0:59opportunity. After 50,000 applicants,
- 1:02traveling to multiple different states,
- 1:03and identifying different potential
- 1:05candidates, we're left with David, young
- 1:07guy, worked two jobs, and now we're
- 1:09here. This is going to be one of the
- 1:11many videos that I am going to be
- 1:13teaching David how to execute and learn
- 1:15this strategy perfectly. And we're going
- 1:17to be documenting it and sharing it with
- 1:19you guys completely for free. So you can
- 1:21follow along and learn from his journey
- 1:23so you're actually able to replicate his
- 1:25exact same results. And the best part is
- 1:27that it's free. So, in this particular
- 1:29video, we're going to learn how to
- 1:30properly do a top- down analysis so you
- 1:33know when, where, and how to enter a
- 1:35trade and avoid those wickouts, avoid
- 1:37those unnecessary draw downs, and even
- 1:39avoid taking a loss. In order for you to
- 1:41take a trade and it be a profitable
- 1:42trade, you don't need to predict where
- 1:44the market is going to be every single
- 1:46hour of the day, every single day of the
- 1:48month, every single week of the year.
- 1:49The key is you need to know when to
- 1:51enter and when to not enter, right?
- 1:53Being involved in the markets and trying
- 1:54to predict every move, it's not going to
- 1:56make you any money. You have to know
- 1:57where to enter and that goes directly
- 1:59with identifying the structure of the
- 2:01trend. Knowing where is the high and
- 2:04where is the low of the market, finding
- 2:05a proper area of interest, which is
- 2:07going to be key to executing at the
- 2:09correct point. And lastly, when should
- 2:11you actually enter this trade? All of
- 2:13that we're going to break down in this
- 2:15video right now. So, first things first,
- 2:16to do a proper top down analysis, you
- 2:19pretty much have to do exactly as it
- 2:21says, do a top down analysis. So, we're
- 2:23going to start off from the weekly time
- 2:25frame, work our way down all the way to
- 2:27the 15minute, meaning weekly, daily, 4
- 2:30hour, 2 hour, 1 hour, 30 minute, 15
- 2:32minute. Now, every single one of these
- 2:35time frames has a completely different
- 2:37purpose in this top down analysis. But
- 2:40the first step is to understand is the
- 2:42weekly bullish or is it bearish? Is the
- 2:45daily bullish or the daily bearish?
- 2:474-hour bullish, 4-hour bearish, so on
- 2:49all the way up into the 15minut time
- 2:51frame. Now once you have all the
- 2:53different time frames and then there you
- 2:55understand where the majority of these
- 2:57time frames are headed decision on where
- 3:00you should take a trade should be very
- 3:02easy. If five of these time frames are
- 3:05bullish for example and two of them are
- 3:07bearish. Does it make more sense to sell
- 3:09or to buy? Well that actually depends on
- 3:12the type of time frames that are
- 3:14indicating to you if it's bullish or
- 3:16bearish. All that's going to make sense
- 3:18in just a second. So coming into the
- 3:20charts, first things first, you would
- 3:22look at this market and then you would
- 3:24immediately as a beginner trader
- 3:27identify that this market can
- 3:28potentially be bullish. So this weekly
- 3:31time frame maybe you can identify as
- 3:33creating highs and lows, higher highs,
- 3:36higher lows, and you would see that it's
- 3:38bullish. Mhm. And you would actually be
- 3:40wrong. This market is indeed bearish.
- 3:43This is a higher high, higher low,
- 3:45higher high, higher low, higher high.
- 3:49lower low and right now we are
- 3:51potentially creating a lower high. This
- 3:54market shifted the structure at this
- 3:56high point right here. Meaning to start
- 3:58off with our top down analysis, the
- 4:01weekly time frame is bearish. So now
- 4:04that we understand that the weekly time
- 4:05frame is bearish, we go to the daily
- 4:07time frame. Daily time frame, we would
- 4:10assume just by looking at it that it's
- 4:12bullish just because it's creating highs
- 4:14and lows. But there you would be wrong.
- 4:17Once again, when you look at the market
- 4:19to identify if it's bullish or bearish,
- 4:20you look at the higher highs and higher
- 4:22lows. The market structure, these
- 4:23elbows, high, low, high, low. Basically,
- 4:27every single point in the market where
- 4:30it had a shift, this market would
- 4:33consider that a structure point. Every
- 4:35single one of these elbows is a
- 4:36structure point. And this market has
- 4:39created many of them. Now, if you
- 4:41answered that it's bearish, I want you
- 4:44to know exactly why it's bearish. It's
- 4:45not bearish because of this right here.
- 4:48It's bearish because this right here is
- 4:50the lower high. And then this point down
- 4:53here is the lower low. Meaning this is
- 4:57the lower high. This is the lower low.
- 4:59We haven't body closed below it. So it's
- 5:01there's no new lower low. We haven't
- 5:03closed above it because there's no
- 5:05higher high. So it's not bullish. So the
- 5:07daily time frame is bearish because of
- 5:10this structure point here. Not because
- 5:12of this head and shoulders pattern right
- 5:13here. Not because of this lower high and
- 5:15because of this lower low. That would be
- 5:18false. It's bearish because of those
- 5:19high moves. So you get that, right? I
- 5:21got you. So the daily time frame, we
- 5:23would add it here as bearish as well.
- 5:26Correct. Now we're basically going to do
- 5:28the same thing on the 4 hour, 2 hour, 1
- 5:30hour, 30 minute, 15 minute, 4 hour time
- 5:33frame. Very clear indication that we can
- 5:36potentially tell that this market is
- 5:38currently bearish. You can as well see
- 5:40how the market was creating highs. Then
- 5:42we shifted to the downside. I personally
- 5:46would not count this point right here as
- 5:49a structure point. This right here is
- 5:51not a clean structure point to me. So I
- 5:54would not count this as a structure
- 5:56point. This would be the lower high and
- 5:58lower low. Many would get confused.
- 6:00Count this as a lower low, lower high,
- 6:02and then a lower low. For me, one
- 6:04candlestick of a retracement is not
- 6:07enough for it to be considered an elbow.
- 6:10I would need for it to be something a
- 6:12bit more. If you notice, candlestick
- 6:14retraces like this with two or more
- 6:15candlesticks are a bit more stronger and
- 6:17cleaner and more respected. So, this
- 6:204hour time frame as well, it is bearish.
- 6:26Bearish. Now, we go down to the 2-hour
- 6:29time frame. Two-hour time frame, we are
- 6:31struck with a bit of a different type of
- 6:34market structure. We have a very clean
- 6:36lower low, lower high, lower low. we
- 6:39shift bullish, higher high and higher
- 6:42low. So, as of right now, the two-hour
- 6:44time frame is bullish. We body
- 6:46candlestick above this structure point.
- 6:48Then this right here becomes the higher
- 6:50high and then this becomes the higher
- 6:53low. We're yet to break above or under
- 6:56that. So, we're still bullish. Okay. So,
- 6:58you get that, right? Yeah. So, this is
- 7:00the first time frame that is bullish.
- 7:02That is bullish. Correct. And it breaks
- 7:04out of the pattern that we were
- 7:06currently in, which is fine. Right.
- 7:08Right now we're just understanding where
- 7:10the market is. The 1 hour time frame,
- 7:13very similar situation. This would be
- 7:15the higher low. This would be the higher
- 7:18high. We yet to break above or below it.
- 7:21So the 1 hour time frame is
- 7:24indeed bullish as
- 7:27well. Then we go down to our 30 minute
- 7:29time frame and 30 minute time frame as
- 7:32of right now is bearish. So you can see
- 7:35how this was creating lower low, lower
- 7:38high, lower low, lower high, lower low,
- 7:40lower high, lower low. We went bullish
- 7:43and then we shifted bearish and right
- 7:46now it's creating almost what looks like
- 7:47to be a double top. So right now the
- 7:5030-minut time frame is bearish. Bearish
- 7:53too. And lastly, the 15minute one. Yeah,
- 7:58definitely least. Last, usually people
- 8:00say last but not least, the 15-minut
- 8:02time frame is the least cuz it's the
- 8:04weakest time frame. It's not the one
- 8:06that is the strongest or most respected.
- 8:08So, we don't really care for it that
- 8:09much. I use it a bit for my entry
- 8:11signals, but we'll save that towards the
- 8:13end of the video. 15-minute time frame.
- 8:15Right now, we were creating lower lows,
- 8:17lower highs, lower lows, shifted
- 8:20bullish, higher high, higher low. Kind
- 8:23of skip all of that. Higher low, and
- 8:25higher high. 15-minut time frame is
- 8:28indeed bullish. And then lastly,
- 8:3015-minut time frame is bullish. Meaning
- 8:34we have a total of one, two, three, four
- 8:39time frames bearish and then we have
- 8:41three three time frames. So, right off
- 8:44the bat, it makes more sense to sell and
- 8:47to buy. But let's say it was for example
- 8:51four time frames bullish and then three
- 8:54time frames bearish. Would that make
- 8:57sense to buy? Not really. Because the
- 9:00lower time frames being in one direction
- 9:03doesn't mean that the higher time frames
- 9:04are going to go in that direction as
- 9:06well. So for me, whenever I go take a
- 9:08trade and ever I go do top analysis,
- 9:10what makes the most sense is to have the
- 9:12highest time frames going in that
- 9:14direction. So if the weekly is bearish,
- 9:16daily is bearish and 4 hours bearish, I
- 9:18want to continue to trade with those
- 9:19markets to have a higher probability to
- 9:21trade setup. Now, can I be interested in
- 9:24buys because these lower time frames are
- 9:25in one direction? Sure. But it's not as
- 9:28strong as a probability. The higher time
- 9:30frames, the more respected the market
- 9:31is, the lower the time frame, the less
- 9:34the market respected is. Okay. Okay. You
- 9:35get that? Yeah, I understand. Yeah.
- 9:37Okay. So now that we understand that the
- 9:39majority of the time frames are going to
- 9:40the downside when we are done with this
- 9:43part of the top analysis we move on to
- 9:46the next phase which is looking for area
- 9:48of interest. So we cannot enter a trade
- 9:53without an area of interest. I'm going
- 9:55to I'm going to repeat that. We can have
- 9:57all these time frames bearish or all
- 10:00these time frames bullish, but if you
- 10:02don't have a proper area of interest,
- 10:05you cannot take the trade take the trade
- 10:07at all. Area of interest is going to be
- 10:09the most crucial points on where you're
- 10:11actually going to enter. For example, if
- 10:13let's say right now we are surfers,
- 10:15right? We're going to go to the ocean to
- 10:17surf. We can see a bunch of waves being
- 10:20created going to one direction to the
- 10:23shore. and you want to go out there and
- 10:25surf, but if you don't know where you're
- 10:27going to enter on that wave, it's no
- 10:30good. You basically can't do anything.
- 10:32Let's say right now there's a basketball
- 10:33game going on and the ball is out of
- 10:35bounds, you can't play the game at all
- 10:38because the ball is out of bounds. You
- 10:39can only play the game when the ball is
- 10:41in bounds. It's in the game. Right now,
- 10:43if the trade is completely bearish and
- 10:46there's no proper area of interest, the
- 10:48ball is not in the game. There's like
- 10:51the game is not happening. You only take
- 10:53a trade after you have a proper area of
- 10:55interest. So the way area of interest is
- 10:58identified is very simple to simplify
- 11:02very quickly. We have here a market that
- 11:06is a bullish market. Bullish market what
- 11:09we are anticipating for price to do is
- 11:11have a retracement. This retracement
- 11:13stop at some given time and point before
- 11:16then having the push to the upside. Our
- 11:19job as traders is to predict when is
- 11:22this stop going to stop. So then we can
- 11:25have our entry right around here. So
- 11:27then the trade from here can then have
- 11:29the push to the upside. That's our job
- 11:31to predict when is this pullback going
- 11:33to stop before it actually has the push
- 11:35up. So you can almost anticipate when
- 11:37this pullback is going to happen to
- 11:39perfection based off of an area of
- 11:41interest. So now we understand this
- 11:42market's bullish. Let's say this is the
- 11:44daily time frame for example. we were
- 11:46allowed to find an area of interest
- 11:48which is a point where the market has
- 11:49respected multiple times in theory a
- 11:52minimum of three times. So let's just
- 11:54add another structure point here right
- 11:56here. So we can have our minimum of
- 11:58three touches. And yes, it could count
- 12:00even if you have structure points above.
- 12:03This has one, two, three, three, four,
- 12:06four. Right. So this is a valid area of
- 12:09interest. So we would expect is for
- 12:11price to have a retracement into this
- 12:13area, retest it, head to the upside.
- 12:15Okay. And what's the minimum like
- 12:17touching points that we need? So it's
- 12:18it's a minimum of three. So you're going
- 12:20to have three points above, three points
- 12:23below, a total of three points. So let's
- 12:26say for example, one above, one under,
- 12:29and one above. Or you can have all three
- 12:32of them under. As long as there's three
- 12:34points of that area, it's a valid area.
- 12:37You got that? Yeah, I got it. Okay. So
- 12:39if we were to go to, for example, let's
- 12:42say the weekly time frame, weekly time
- 12:44frame, we would identify where we are
- 12:47right now. And if we were to look left,
- 12:50we would not really see any price action
- 12:52for
- 12:53about 10 years. But even then, this line
- 12:57right here, we have one, two, and we go
- 13:00back to current price. And then we have
- 13:03three. That's three
- 13:05touches. Bear with me. We go down to the
- 13:08daily time frame. And then in the daily
- 13:09time frame, we would do the exact same
- 13:12thing, but in a much more detailed
- 13:14version with what we're dealing with
- 13:16right now. So, for example, we can spot,
- 13:19let's say, a zone like this. Here we
- 13:22were to have one, two, and then three.
- 13:27That's a valid area of interest. If you
- 13:29were to look at the market like
- 13:31this, one, 2, 3, 4. Valid. Very valid.
- 13:37You look at it like this, there's
- 13:39nothing there. It's not valid. I
- 13:42personally the furthest I like to look
- 13:45back when identifying these areas of
- 13:47interest is anywhere in between one to
- 13:51three years. That's the furthest I ever
- 13:53like to look back recently with the way
- 13:55the new markets have changed. It's just
- 13:58we want to make sure we're executing a
- 14:00trade where the market has respected
- 14:02recently, not 10 years ago. The world's
- 14:05in a different place 10 years ago. the
- 14:06markets are there right now and I want
- 14:07to make sure that the price is very
- 14:09relevant to the most recent. So our
- 14:12second thing is identifying an area of
- 14:13interest and this area of interest is
- 14:15very well respected. Now at this point
- 14:18that we have officially identified the
- 14:20area of interest, it's officially game
- 14:22on. So everything we've done up to this
- 14:24point is just understanding where the
- 14:27market is. At no point have we executed
- 14:30the strategy right now. At no point have
- 14:33we have done anything that's out of the
- 14:36normal, right? All all we've done is
- 14:37just read the market. Yeah. Now is when
- 14:41we're going to start applying our
- 14:43strategy to potentially execute this
- 14:45trade. A very simple analogy is let's
- 14:48say that you're a surfer right now is at
- 14:52the point where you would go out to the
- 14:54ocean and then go and get on to your
- 14:57board. Mhm. Now, a very big mistake that
- 15:00a lot of surfers make is they'll pull up
- 15:03to the beach, they'll go out to the
- 15:04ocean, and they wait in the ocean for a
- 15:07wave. Okay. What happens? They get eaten
- 15:09by a shark. The current takes them far
- 15:11away. I don't know. I'm not a surfer.
- 15:13Are you a surfer? No, I'm not a surfer.
- 15:15an analogy, right? So, it's a very high
- 15:19risk approach. Unless risk, right? You
- 15:21don't have to be out there in the water
- 15:23for the wave for you to surf the wave.
- 15:25You could be on the beach safely under
- 15:27an umbrella, not getting burnt. When you
- 15:30see the wave approaching, then you can
- 15:32then go out into the water. You swim to
- 15:34it and then you you surf the wave. Is
- 15:36there a possibility that of you missing
- 15:38it? Sure, it's fine. It's normal, but
- 15:40you're minimizing your risk. If you do
- 15:42not have your trade be at your area of
- 15:45interest, why would you go in and enter
- 15:47a trade? It simply makes no sense.
- 15:49That's right. If you don't have the wave
- 15:51right there at that given moment, why
- 15:53would you be waiting in the water? It's
- 15:54just very high risk. It only makes sense
- 15:57to execute the trade when it's at your
- 15:59area of interest. It only makes sense to
- 16:01ride a wave when it's ready to be
- 16:03ridden. There's no reason to be
- 16:05overexposed for no reason. Now, I want
- 16:06to make sure you understand this is so
- 16:09crucial and so key because some traders,
- 16:12they would do their analysis, they would
- 16:13do the top analysis decently. They'll
- 16:16find a decent area of interest and then
- 16:18they'll feel like the market owes them
- 16:20something because they've analyzed the
- 16:21market. You got to make sure that you
- 16:23can analyze the market, put so much time
- 16:25into it, and it mean nothing. Okay? That
- 16:28you have to be completely emotionally
- 16:29detached from that trade. Yes, you got
- 16:31that right. I got it. It's very key. So,
- 16:33now that you understand that you don't
- 16:35have to be in the ocean waiting for the
- 16:38wave, you can wait for it at the beach.
- 16:40You want to make sure that you know what
- 16:42you're waiting for, right? Like you want
- 16:43to have your binocular set so you can
- 16:45see the wave. You can be waiting for
- 16:47something specific. Correct. That's
- 16:49exactly what we would do here once price
- 16:51is approaching or reaching the area of
- 16:53interest. So for example, let's say this
- 16:55trade at this point once this trade
- 16:58broke this neckline and or this area of
- 17:02interest. This is where the majority of
- 17:04traders would just want to get involved
- 17:06right away because they feel like
- 17:07they're going to be right about the
- 17:09direction which they're right. Right.
- 17:11This the majority of the time frames are
- 17:12bearish. You have a head and shoulders.
- 17:14you have many different formations are
- 17:17identifying that this trade should
- 17:18continue to go down rather than up.
- 17:20Okay, so this is where the big mistake
- 17:22comes in because they're getting
- 17:23involved too early, too quick. Okay,
- 17:26just because the water and the currents
- 17:28are going in one way, you don't want to
- 17:30go in right away. You still have to wait
- 17:31for your trade. You have to wait for
- 17:33your entry. This is where you would wait
- 17:34for a retracement, which is where price
- 17:36would then come back into this area. And
- 17:39now when you're in this area is where
- 17:41then you're going to wait for the most
- 17:43important and most crucial point which
- 17:46is going to be your entry signal. The
- 17:49entry signal is very much overlooked
- 17:52among the traders in the industry and
- 17:54they overlook it or they underlook it.
- 17:57They they never find the perfect medium.
- 17:58They either over complicate it or
- 18:00oversimplify it.
- 18:02If you're looking to sell a trade at an
- 18:05area of interest, you need to have as
- 18:07many possible confirmations that the
- 18:09trade is going to sell. So for example,
- 18:11the 4hour time frame. So let me actually
- 18:13take a step back, right? Weekly, daily,
- 18:154hour time frame. These are the three
- 18:17time frames to identify the trend of the
- 18:20markets. Okay. The 2 hour, 1 hour, 30
- 18:23minute, and 15 minutes are used to
- 18:25actually enter the trade. Mhm. Now,
- 18:28these lower time frames are used to
- 18:30enter the trade based off of the
- 18:32direction of the higher time frames.
- 18:35Okay, you understood that, right? Yeah.
- 18:36If the higher time frames are bearish,
- 18:39we use the lower time frames to enter
- 18:41those cells. So, if we go down to the 30
- 18:44minute right now, for example, and we're
- 18:47looking for sells, how are we going to
- 18:50sell? If the 30 time frame, if the
- 18:5230-minut time frame is bullish, we're
- 18:54creating lower lows, lower highs, lower
- 18:55lows, lower highs. And now we shifted
- 18:57bullish. So if we're looking to sell and
- 19:01our entry signal time frame is bullish,
- 19:05how are we going to sell? Doesn't make
- 19:06any sense. We need to only sell when the
- 19:09lower time frames match our higher time
- 19:12frames. So this is where the even though
- 19:15the wave is getting close to be formed
- 19:18and you're itching to go out there and
- 19:20go ride it, it's not ready yet, right?
- 19:23Because the wave is just on its way to
- 19:25the beach. hasn't decided if it wants to
- 19:27go east or if it wants to go west. And
- 19:30you want it to go west because that's
- 19:32where all the girls are on the beach or
- 19:34whatever surfers look for whenever they
- 19:36go surf. Yeah, there's a big nice wave
- 19:38loading up, but you don't know what way
- 19:40it's going to go. This is literally
- 19:43setting up the perfect
- 19:46pre-market setup for that to happen,
- 19:49right? So, what price does when it
- 19:51reaches the area of interest has an
- 19:53accumulation. This is one of the major
- 19:55things that I like to see because it
- 19:56shows me that it's struggling to break
- 19:58through this area, which clearly
- 20:00whenever we're above this area, we
- 20:02struggle, we have a push up. Whenever we
- 20:05are under this area, we struggle and we
- 20:07push down. Now that we're here again, I
- 20:10can simply anticipate for the exact same
- 20:12thing to happen. So, this is the higher
- 20:14low. This is the higher high. In order
- 20:16for me to take the cell, I would need to
- 20:18wait for a shift of structure. And this
- 20:22is where we would remain extremely
- 20:23patient and wait for the ship to
- 20:26structure. This is two, three hours that
- 20:29have just gone by that we're just making
- 20:31it seem very quickly. And that's where
- 20:32the difficulty comes in from this, the
- 20:35waiting game, of course, sitting on your
- 20:37hands and waiting for what you need to
- 20:39get done happen. So at this point, we're
- 20:42still not taking the trade. The market
- 20:44is still bullish and it's not giving us
- 20:46our entry signal. You need to wait for
- 20:47the shift to structure. So at this point
- 20:51that minor body candlestick that closed
- 20:54below that structure point that's it
- 20:56that's our entry signal that is our
- 20:58entry signal that now the 30 minute time
- 21:01frame has shifted and now it's in
- 21:04correlation with the higher time frame.
- 21:06So now weekly, daily, 4hour are bearish
- 21:10and so is the 30 minute time frame which
- 21:12is an entry signal time frame for
- 21:13example which is an added confluence
- 21:16that would then lead us to understand
- 21:18that now the 30 minute is following the
- 21:20higher time frames. So we have the
- 21:22higher time frames bearish, we have a
- 21:24solid area of interest and then we also
- 21:26have our trade at the area of interest
- 21:28giving us a shift structure inside of
- 21:30it. Like you're literally creating a
- 21:32perfect setup that it simply makes more
- 21:35sense for this to go down than up.
- 21:36Because at the end of the day, the
- 21:37market's going to do two things. Go up
- 21:38or down. Yeah. We just got to figure out
- 21:40why it makes one. Yeah. Which one most
- 21:42famous? Yeah. Which one makes more sense
- 21:44for it to go down or up? This right
- 21:46here, off of everything I've just said,
- 21:47you could explain to your grandma and
- 21:49they're going to literally understand
- 21:51it. Yeah. So once price has the break of
- 21:54the structure area, you would then wait
- 21:56for either a bearish engulfing
- 21:59confirmation, an evening star, you can
- 22:02look for any reversal patterns like head
- 22:05and shoulders, double tops, anything
- 22:07that confirms now that it's shifted
- 22:09bearish that it's going to continue that
- 22:11momentum because one thing is shifting
- 22:13bearish and another thing is continuing
- 22:15that momentum. And then here we shift
- 22:17bearish and we simply continue that
- 22:20momentum. Now you can see here how this
- 22:22structure went from being bullish to
- 22:24creating higher highs to now being lower
- 22:27low, lower high, lower low, lower high.
- 22:29Yeah, I see. So it literally goes from
- 22:31having the bearish move. It goes bullish
- 22:33to have the retracement to have the
- 22:35retest of the area of interest and then
- 22:37it shifts and then it continues to move
- 22:39down. It just it's simple waves but not
- 22:42the actual surfing ones. You're just
- 22:43like trading waves. More fun ones. These
- 22:47to me they're more fun because they make
- 22:48me money, you know? I'm not prone to
- 22:50getting eaten by a shark, you know.
- 22:52Yeah. And now this is one of the trades
- 22:54that I'm actively in right now. And I am
- 22:57very confident in this trade to continue
- 22:59heading to the downside. Price action is
- 23:01rejecting. And as soon as I enter the
- 23:03trade, I follow the slogan. I mean, set
- 23:06and forget like forget. All I do is just
- 23:08let the trade either do one or two
- 23:10things. I let the trade either hit my
- 23:12stop loss or I let the trade hit my
- 23:14takerit. I don't do anything in between.
- 23:16And you never change the never never
- 23:18because if you change the trade, you're
- 23:21changing your strategy essentially
- 23:24because whatever you took at whatever
- 23:26given point met a strategy and it made
- 23:28sense at that point. That means that the
- 23:30trade still makes sense. Just because it
- 23:32doesn't go to your take profit right
- 23:33away doesn't mean the trade is not
- 23:34valid. If the trade sometimes it'll take
- 23:36a day or two or three and if that's what
- 23:38it takes, that's what it takes. I always
- 23:40make sure that my stop loss is placed
- 23:42above the previous high just in case if
- 23:45For whatever reason, we now body
- 23:48candlestick close above this area. We
- 23:50are completely wrong because since we
- 23:52had the shift to structure when I
- 23:54entered the trade on the 30 minute for
- 23:55me, I identified this to be the lower
- 23:58high and I identified that this be the
- 24:00new lower low at the time of me watching
- 24:02this market. This was the lower high.
- 24:05This was the lower low. If this price
- 24:08from this given point body candlestick
- 24:10above this structure point, technically
- 24:13would be bullish and it's destined to
- 24:15continue going to the upside. So I only
- 24:18place my stop loss at an area where if
- 24:20it gets hit, it's completely wrong.
- 24:22Okay, this is very key% very key. Very
- 24:25key. And then I simply place my
- 24:27takeprofit a little bit below the next
- 24:29structure point where I believe that
- 24:31daily time frame is destined to go. Stop
- 24:34loss placement is so key. Can't even
- 24:35imagine. Okay. And what if for example
- 24:38uh the trade goes so well that we can
- 24:40put the stop loss or a take profit was?
- 24:43Yeah. So that's called moving your stops
- 24:46or trail stops, however you want to call
- 24:48it. That's something that I sometimes
- 24:51tend to do. You could do it. It's a
- 24:54great way on how to continue to set and
- 24:55forget. But I would try and only do that
- 24:59on trades that have higher potentials of
- 25:02risk-to-reward. Right? So, if a trade
- 25:04has a, for example, this trade, I only
- 25:06see it to have a 1:2 risk-to-reward, for
- 25:09example. But if you have a trade that
- 25:12has a potential for it to be a 1 to4,
- 25:14sure, once the trade hits your original
- 25:16take-profit of a 1:2, you could move
- 25:19your stop loss there, worst case, takes
- 25:21you out of the 1 to2. I personally don't
- 25:24really do this myself. I see other
- 25:25people successfully do it. I would
- 25:27recommend either takes you out of your
- 25:29full take profit or takes you out of
- 25:31your full stop-loss. I wouldn't modify
- 25:33moving your stop loss to a random area
- 25:37where you enter the trade, which has
- 25:39nothing to do with the market structure.
- 25:40You're prone to getting wicked out at
- 25:42break even. And for example, like let's
- 25:44say right now when this trade was a
- 25:45little bit into profit and I would have
- 25:47put it at break even. Price would have
- 25:49just taken me out at break even and now
- 25:51continue heading to the downside.
- 25:53Putting it at break even or moving your
- 25:55stops has nothing to do with how the
- 25:57market moves. It's just you wanting to
- 25:58cover your risk. And you cover your risk
- 26:01by pre-calculating it beforehand. You
- 26:03don't have to not want to lose money
- 26:05after you take a trade. Okay. But it's a
- 26:08great way of thinking. That's being
- 26:09conservative. I think that's great. And
- 26:11you know what? I love the fact that you
- 26:12asked that last question there because
- 26:14it it shows me that you're like catching
- 26:16up pretty fast. And it's very key that
- 26:18you understand to make money in trading,
- 26:21it's not all about added risk. make
- 26:23money by preserving your money and being
- 26:26strategic with your risk. Not about
- 26:28risking more. It's about knowing when to
- 26:29risk and knowing when to not risk. And
- 26:32the crazy part is that this is literally
- 26:34just one of the many videos that we're
- 26:36going to be doing with David. And his
- 26:38journey has been honestly accelerating a
- 26:41lot faster than I imagined. And we're
