- 0:00Jesus [music] possessed when he came
- 0:02here the mind of the son of God but he
- 0:05did not possess the power of God. He did
- 0:08not possess it. Jesus could not leap
- 0:09over tall buildings with a single bound.
- 0:12Jesus by himself [music]
- 0:14by his own power could not have walked
- 0:15on water.
- 0:17He could not have raised the dead
- 0:18because the Bible says
- 0:20>> [music]
- 0:20>> he left his glory behind.
- 0:23Where his abilities were concerned, he
- 0:26was exactly like you and me. Plus or
- 0:30minus nothing. He had no power
- 0:33that we cannot possess. We have to make
- 0:35a distinction between power to do things
- 0:37and the nature. Now, I believe that
- 0:41Jesus by nature
- 0:43had this gentle, loving, [music]
- 0:45pure, holy disposition that belongs to
- 0:48divinity alone.
- 0:50But
- 0:51>> [music]
- 0:52>> he had no power to do things, walk on
- 0:54water, calm the sea. All of this was
- 0:56done by God because the Bible tells us
- 0:59God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the
- 1:01Holy Spirit who went about doing good
- 1:03because God was with him. I think that's
- 1:07found in Acts chapter 10 and verse 38.
- 1:09So, we see that what I'm saying is that
- 1:11Jesus was while he was here, he was God
- 1:14in his nature but not in his power. I
- 1:16should put it another way. He was divine
- 1:20in his nature
- 1:21>> [music]
- 1:23>> but he was not divine in terms of the
- 1:25power that he possessed.
