  1. 0:00The more people use Clot, the more they
  2. 0:01add to it. More skills, connectors,
  3. 0:04scheduled tasks, context files,
  4. 0:05artifacts, and hundreds of chats. That's
  5. 0:08a good thing because that's how Cloud
  6. 0:09gets more useful. But barely anyone
  7. 0:11actually maintains, cleans, or optimizes
  8. 0:14this entire setup. So, it becomes
  9. 0:15impossible to find old chats. We have
  10. 0:17dozens of skills we never use. Clot
  11. 0:19still uses outdated roles and contexts
  12. 0:21that changed months ago, and scheduled
  13. 0:23tasks quietly fail. And besides this
  14. 0:25becoming an overwhelming experience
  15. 0:27every time you open up Claude, a big
  16. 0:29part of this bloated setup also loads
  17. 0:31into every single chat. So instead of
  18. 0:32CLA getting better, it gets slower,
  19. 0:34messier, and more expensive. So in this
  20. 0:36video, I'll show you how to keep your
  21. 0:38entire clot setup clean with one skill
  22. 0:40that I built that you can download for
  23. 0:42free in the first link in the
  24. 0:43description. I'll show you how this
  25. 0:44detox skill cleans up and optimizes
  26. 0:47everything from your clot interface,
  27. 0:49chats, projects, artifacts, skills,
  28. 0:51schedule tasks, and even your context or
  29. 0:54your second brain if you have one. And
  30. 0:55show you how you can automatically run
  31. 0:57it every week to get the most out of
  32. 0:59cloth. And if you're new here, I'm Ben.
  33. 1:00I'm a three-time founder and I run an AI
  34. 1:02agency and one of the largest AI
  35. 1:04communities where I help professionals
  36. 1:05and business owners get real results
  37. 1:07with AI. Now, before I show you the
  38. 1:08skill, why does maintaining your clot
  39. 1:10setup actually matter so much? Even
  40. 1:12Boris Jurnney, who created Cloud Code,
  41. 1:15said himself, "My setup might be
  42. 1:16surprisingly vanilla." And it's because
  43. 1:18a clean setup is important because of
  44. 1:20four big reasons. First, it's for you.
  45. 1:22Of course, the fewer chats, skills, and
  46. 1:25files you have to dig through, the more
  47. 1:26productive you'll get. It's basically
  48. 1:28like working at a clean desk instead of
  49. 1:30a messy one. Second, it will lead to
  50. 1:32better outputs. Every rule, memory,
  51. 1:34file, skill, and connector is something
  52. 1:36Clot takes into account. So, when
  53. 1:38they're outdated, they contradict each
  54. 1:40other or are irrelevant. clock gets
  55. 1:42confused, follows an old rule, or uses a
  56. 1:44skill nobody asked for. Thirdly, it will
  57. 1:46impact your context and usage limit.
  58. 1:48Now, many people don't know this, but a
  59. 1:50big part of this setup loads into every
  60. 1:52chat before you even type a message.
  61. 1:54Your skill descriptions, your
  62. 1:56connectors, your memory, and CLMD files.
  63. 1:59It all loads into the context window,
  64. 2:01even when you don't use it, which burns
  65. 2:03through your usage far faster and
  66. 2:05affects CLA's performance. And lastly,
  67. 2:07another big reason for this is that
  68. 2:09every time a new better model comes out,
  69. 2:11a lot of the rules people wrote for the
  70. 2:13older ones aren't needed anymore. And
  71. 2:15some even hold these new models back.
  72. 2:17And that's why Tariq from the Cloud Code
  73. 2:19team also says that when a better model
  74. 2:20comes out, the most important first
  75. 2:22thing you should try is to remove
  76. 2:24instructions. And with new models coming
  77. 2:26out every few months, Tar himself says
  78. 2:28that harnesses go out of date very
  79. 2:30quickly. So while building and adding is
  80. 2:32the exciting part of course the best
  81. 2:34cloud users also make sure their harness
  82. 2:36which is essentially everything around
  83. 2:38the model stays clean optimized and up
  84. 2:41to date but because of course that's
  85. 2:42boring to do I've made it really easy to
  86. 2:44do with our detox scale which you can
  87. 2:46just download by going to the first link
  88. 2:48in the description uploading it to your
  89. 2:50clot account and running it with /
  90. 2:52detox. Now you can run this skill either
  91. 2:54in the clot code tab or in the co-work
  92. 2:55tab. In the co-work tab, it will have
  93. 2:57some limitations compared to how it
  94. 2:59works in the cloud code tab, but it will
  95. 3:01still be extremely valuable. So, what
  96. 3:02does it do? It essentially audits,
  97. 3:04cleans, and fixes five parts of your
  98. 3:06cloud setup. Your interface, your
  99. 3:09skills, your memory and context files,
  100. 3:11your connectors, and your scheduled
  101. 3:13tasks. So, when you run it, it sends out
  102. 3:15five sub agents, one for each part of
  103. 3:18your setup. So, every part gets properly
  104. 3:20audited at the same time without filling
  105. 3:22up your context window. It then puts
  106. 3:24everything it found into one big page.
  107. 3:26On that page, it will lay out everything
  108. 3:27it found across each part of your setup.
  109. 3:30Uh for every single item inside of it,
  110. 3:32Clot will suggest a fix like archive or
  111. 3:35delete or a change. You can then still
  112. 3:37change what happens to each item or
  113. 3:39leave a comment on it. And if you're
  114. 3:41happy with the suggestions, you can just
  115. 3:43approve them all by just clicking begin
  116. 3:45optimizing and Claude will organize and
  117. 3:47clean up everything for you
  118. 3:48automatically. For example, when I ran
  119. 3:50it on my own setup, it found 239 things
  120. 3:53to clean up. It deleted some old
  121. 3:55sessions, grouped sessions, spotted fa
  122. 3:57failed connectors, fixed my context
  123. 4:00files and cluttered MD, and much much
  124. 4:02more. And after it was finished, it also
  125. 4:04saved around 15,000 wasted tokens uh for
  126. 4:07every single new chat I start. I now run
  127. 4:09this detox scale automatically on a
  128. 4:11scheduled task every two weeks to make
  129. 4:13sure my clot setup is cleaned up and
  130. 4:15optimized consistently which you can
  131. 4:16just do by uh setting up a scheduled
  132. 4:18task say run the detox scale and uh
  133. 4:21setting the schedule for every week or
  134. 4:23every two weeks. Now the skill will do
  135. 4:24all of this for you but it really helps
  136. 4:26to understand what it actually audits
  137. 4:27and fixes. So let me go through it
  138. 4:30starting with the interface. Now, by
  139. 4:31interface, I mean everything you see and
  140. 4:33click in cloth. Your chats, pin chats,
  141. 4:36projects, artifacts, uh, like your
  142. 4:38dashboards and slides, and your mods,
  143. 4:40which are basically small add-ons that
  144. 4:42change how clot code looks and behaves.
  145. 4:44So, these are the first things the detox
  146. 4:46skill looks at because cleaning this up
  147. 4:48already takes away a lot of that
  148. 4:50overwhelm. So, firstly, it'll go through
  149. 4:51your chats to find all the ones you
  150. 4:53don't need or use anymore, like test
  151. 4:55chats, one-off questions, and personal
  152. 4:57chats. It already suggests what to do
  153. 4:59with each one. uh you can still decide
  154. 5:01if you want to archive or delete them
  155. 5:03and then archive chat you can always uh
  156. 5:05bring back. Then it also suggests
  157. 5:06groupings for all the chats that are
  158. 5:08left. For example, in my case, it
  159. 5:10grouped chats by YouTube videos. And
  160. 5:12once I approve, it moves them into these
  161. 5:14groups automatically. And this is
  162. 5:15honestly one of my favorite things this
  163. 5:17skill does because I also always had a
  164. 5:19problem with finding my chats. But keep
  165. 5:20in mind, this grouping feature only
  166. 5:22exists in the cloud code tab. You also
  167. 5:24look at your pin chats if you're
  168. 5:25actually still using them. It'll suggest
  169. 5:27unpinning old ones and pinning uh chats
  170. 5:29you come back to frequently. It also
  171. 5:31looks at all your artifacts like your
  172. 5:33dashboards, designs, docs, slides, and
  173. 5:35motion graphics. It finds the ones you
  174. 5:37haven't used in a while with a link to
  175. 5:39each so you can check before changing or
  176. 5:41deleting anything. And lastly, also
  177. 5:43check your mods if you've already been
  178. 5:45using them first. It checks if you have
  179. 5:47any, and if you do, it lists each one,
  180. 5:49whether it's switched on or off, and if
  181. 5:51you've actually been using it, and then
  182. 5:53suggests the ones to switch off. Now,
  183. 5:54honestly, cleaning up your interface
  184. 5:56like this every week or two has been a
  185. 5:58real game changer for my productivity.
  186. 5:59So, this alone is already extremely
  187. 6:01valuable, but it also solves another big
  188. 6:03problem I've been facing, which is
  189. 6:05ending up with dozens or even hundreds
  190. 6:07of skills that I haven't used in months.
  191. 6:09Now, if you're still unfamiliar, a skill
  192. 6:11is basically just a saved how-to file
  193. 6:13that teaches Clot how to do a task your
  194. 6:16way. And once people start building
  195. 6:17them, they often end up downloading and
  196. 6:20building lots of them. Uh, which creates
  197. 6:22a couple of problems. Firstly, some
  198. 6:24skills will overlap or do similar things
  199. 6:26and you don't know which ones to use
  200. 6:28anymore. Second, you often end up with
  201. 6:30duplicate ones and different versions.
  202. 6:33Third, some skills might fire by
  203. 6:34accident in tasks where you don't want
  204. 6:36them to be fired. And lastly, every
  205. 6:38skill cost context and tokens because
  206. 6:41the descriptions of every skill loads
  207. 6:43into every chat, even if you don't use
  208. 6:45these skills. So, the detox skill
  209. 6:47basically first finds every skill you
  210. 6:49have, where it lives, so you can find
  211. 6:51duplicate ones. Then, it checks which
  212. 6:53skills you haven't used in a while,
  213. 6:55which ones overlap, and which ones fire
  214. 6:57when you didn't ask for them. You then
  215. 6:59get one clean table sorted by category
  216. 7:01with when you last used each skill, how
  217. 7:03much context they cost, and whether
  218. 7:05Claude suggest keeping or removing it.
  219. 7:07You can still check, and once you
  220. 7:09approve, it will clean your skill set up
  221. 7:11instantly. And for scales that keep
  222. 7:12firing by accident, it can even add one
  223. 7:14line to the top of the scale file called
  224. 7:16disable model invocation, which means we
  225. 7:19can essentially turn the auto trigger
  226. 7:21off for the skill. So, it can only fire
  227. 7:23when you use the slash command. This is
  228. 7:25honestly my preferred way of using
  229. 7:26skills, and it's also good because it
  230. 7:28stops the description from loading into
  231. 7:30every chat, which saves you tokens and
  232. 7:32context, too. Now, in my case, for
  233. 7:34example, I had 156 skills loaded, and
  234. 7:36I'd only used eight of them in the last
  235. 7:3830 days. It also found 10 skills sitting
  236. 7:41in more than one place and 15 that
  237. 7:43basically do the same job, like four old
  238. 7:45LinkedIn writer skills next to the ones
  239. 7:47I actually use. And in clot code, this
  240. 7:49unused skill list alone was costing me
  241. 7:51about 10,000 tokens in every chat. Now,
  242. 7:54the next and probably most important
  243. 7:55part of fixes is your memory and your
  244. 7:57context. But before showing you what it
  245. 7:59does there, very quickly, if you enjoy
  246. 8:01this type of content, you'll really
  247. 8:02enjoy my AI accelerator, where you'll
  248. 8:04get access to my 30-day clot course that
  249. 8:06takes you from beginner to pro in less
  250. 8:08than 1 hour a day. You also get access
  251. 8:10to a full course on growing an AI
  252. 8:12business based on everything me and my
  253. 8:14team have learned over the last 3 years
  254. 8:15and access to unlimited one-on-one live
  255. 8:18AI consulting and a big library of
  256. 8:20skills, templates, and resources across
  257. 8:22all business departments. So, if you
  258. 8:23want to dive deeper into AI, definitely
  259. 8:25check it out in the second link in the
  260. 8:26description below. Now, memory and
  261. 8:28context are of course vital to get the
  262. 8:30most out of clot, but this is also the
  263. 8:31part that can get messy and outdated
  264. 8:33really fast, which can significantly
  265. 8:35affect your output quality. So, the
  266. 8:37detox scale goes through three things
  267. 8:39here. First, your built-in memory and
  268. 8:41global instructions. So clot basically
  269. 8:43saves uh memory notes on its own based
  270. 8:45on your feedback and preferences which
  271. 8:47you can find in your settings under the
  272. 8:49memory uh tab where you can also find
  273. 8:51your global instructions which is
  274. 8:53basically a file with instructions. Clot
  275. 8:55reads at the start of every single chat
  276. 8:57and over time these go out of date,
  277. 8:58right? People change how they want uh
  278. 9:00something done but an older note still
  279. 9:02says the opposite or two notes say
  280. 9:04something completely different. So, the
  281. 9:06detox scale reads them plus your chats
  282. 9:08from the last 30 days to see what you've
  283. 9:10actually asked for lately and flags
  284. 9:12rules that are outdated, duplicated, or
  285. 9:14contradict each other. Then again, it
  286. 9:16suggests what to fix and once once you
  287. 9:18approve, it can automatically update
  288. 9:20your rules and memory files. Second, you
  289. 9:22also do a full audit and optimization of
  290. 9:24the files inside of your projects and
  291. 9:26folders. Now if you've worked with
  292. 9:28folder access cloud projects or even
  293. 9:31might have a second brain where you save
  294. 9:33your context and memory nodes you can
  295. 9:35easily end up with dozens, hundreds or
  296. 9:37even thousands of files and notes which
  297. 9:39is of course extremely valuable because
  298. 9:41cloud can give you far better outputs
  299. 9:42with this context. But as this grows it
  300. 9:44will start to bloat. You'll have
  301. 9:46duplicate nodes, notes that contradict
  302. 9:48each other and notes nothing links to
  303. 9:50anymore. And there's really just no way
  304. 9:52to keep track of all of that yourself.
  305. 9:54So the detox skill goes through all of
  306. 9:56those files in your folders and your
  307. 9:57projects and audits everything based on
  308. 10:00uh best practices from Enthropic and
  309. 10:02Andre Karpathy. It fixes broken links,
  310. 10:05cleans up duplicates and outdated nodes,
  311. 10:07flags nodes nothing points to and make
  312. 10:09sure every bigger folder has an index
  313. 10:11file. So it uses around 16 frameworks
  314. 10:14and best practices for optimizing
  315. 10:16context or knowledge bases uh to make
  316. 10:18sure all of this stays relevant and
  317. 10:20working well. And thirdly, maybe most
  318. 10:21importantly, it audits and optimizes
  319. 10:23your cloud.md or agents.mmd for each
  320. 10:26project or folder. Now, the cloud.mmd or
  321. 10:28agents.mmd if you use multiple AI for
  322. 10:30providers, uh, essentially tells cloud
  323. 10:33where everything lives inside of these
  324. 10:34folders. Now, the cloudMD or agents.mmd
  325. 10:37is of course one of the most important
  326. 10:38files for these AI agents. We do have to
  327. 10:40optimize them regularly according to
  328. 10:43what lives in our folders, our rules,
  329. 10:45and our preferences. So again, the detox
  330. 10:47skill checks that your clot MD still
  331. 10:49points to the right places, flags
  332. 10:51important folders it doesn't mention,
  333. 10:53offers a cleaner, shorter rewrite when
  334. 10:55it has grown too long, and suggests
  335. 10:58creating one uh where it's missing. It
  336. 11:00does this for every project you're
  337. 11:01actively working on over the last 30
  338. 11:03days. In my own setup, for example, it
  339. 11:05found seven rules that contradicted each
  340. 11:07other. Uh it found that my main clot.mmd
  341. 11:09uh still pointed to a tasks folder that
  342. 11:11never existed. Uh, and my strategy file,
  343. 11:14the one Clot uses for our pricing, had
  344. 11:16six copies of itself stacked on top of
  345. 11:18each other with contradicting
  346. 11:20information. Now, the next thing it
  347. 11:21fixes are your connectors. Now, if
  348. 11:23you've been using them, you probably
  349. 11:24have noticed that login often expire or
  350. 11:26you have to reconnect them. Uh, clot can
  351. 11:28also have full right access to tools
  352. 11:30where it only needs to read or the other
  353. 11:33way around. Also, many people keep uh
  354. 11:35connectors they don't actually use
  355. 11:36anymore. Some might even overlap like a
  356. 11:38custom MCP and an official connector
  357. 11:40that later came out. Connectors are also
  358. 11:42one of the biggest parts of your
  359. 11:44baseline context, which basically means
  360. 11:46everything that loads into a chat before
  361. 11:48you even send a message because every
  362. 11:50connector adds its tool names and
  363. 11:52instructions to every chat, even when
  364. 11:53you don't use it. So, the detox skill
  365. 11:56lists every connector with when you last
  366. 11:58used it and how much context it cost
  367. 12:00you. It then suggests switching off the
  368. 12:02unused ones and keeping just one of each
  369. 12:05duplicate. It flags expired login and
  370. 12:08risky right access. Now, Clot can't
  371. 12:10actually reconnect the connector for
  372. 12:11you. So, you can do that yourself based
  373. 12:13on Clot suggestions. Then, it even goes
  374. 12:15one step further for every connector. It
  375. 12:17will also check if the tool is also on
  376. 12:19Composio, which is basically a meta
  377. 12:21connector that gives Clot access to a
  378. 12:23lot of apps at once with just that
  379. 12:25Composio connector. If it is, it will
  380. 12:27suggest switching to Composio because
  381. 12:30with Composio, you can essentially do
  382. 12:32one login on all your softwares and give
  383. 12:34Cloud access to all of them with just
  384. 12:36the Composio connector. Composio even
  385. 12:38manages the reconnections automatically
  386. 12:40for you. Now, I'm not being paid to say
  387. 12:42this. I just really like the tool
  388. 12:43Composio. So, highly recommend checking
  389. 12:45it out. And if a connector isn't on
  390. 12:46Composio, it might also suggest building
  391. 12:49a CLI. A CLI is basically a small
  392. 12:51command line tool. Clot can run instead
  393. 12:54of a connector. And Entropic's own docs
  394. 12:56say CLI are more context efficient than
  395. 12:58MCPs, which are connectors, because they
  396. 13:01don't add a list of tools to every chat.
  397. 13:03Now, you can really easily build your
  398. 13:04own CLIs with something called the
  399. 13:06printing press, an open-source tool that
  400. 13:09builds a CLI from an app's API docs.
  401. 13:12I'll leave the link to the printing
  402. 13:13press in the description below, too. But
  403. 13:15in my own setup, I had 25 connectors
  404. 13:17connected, costing me about 16,000
  405. 13:19tokens in every chat. 19 of them I
  406. 13:21hadn't used in the last 30 days. And
  407. 13:23just switching off the unused ones saved
  408. 13:25me 11,000 tokens per chat. It also found
  409. 13:28five services I had connected twice,
  410. 13:30three I could move to Composio and seven
  411. 13:32connectors with risky write access like
  412. 13:34Gmail being able to send emails. And
  413. 13:36then the last part is the easiest one to
  414. 13:38forget because it all runs in the
  415. 13:39background, your scheduled tasks and
  416. 13:41routines. Now, one big problem I have
  417. 13:43faced with these scheduled tasks or
  418. 13:44cloud code routines, which is
  419. 13:46essentially the same as a scheduled
  420. 13:47task, but runs in the cloud so it can
  421. 13:49run without your laptop being open, is
  422. 13:51that although they're very valuable, of
  423. 13:53course, many of them quietly fail
  424. 13:55because a connector fails. for example,
  425. 13:57or a prompt is outdated. And many that
  426. 13:59I've set up in the past, I don't
  427. 14:00actually use anymore or even check the
  428. 14:02outputs of anymore. And because they run
  429. 14:04in the background, it's easy to forget
  430. 14:06about them. But of course, they do eat
  431. 14:07away at your plan's usage every single
  432. 14:09time they run. So, the detox scale lists
  433. 14:11every scheduled task both in co-work and
  434. 14:14in a codeab with when it last ran, uh
  435. 14:16whether it failed, and uh which model it
  436. 14:19runs on. Now, it will show failing tasks
  437. 14:21first with the error like a login that
  438. 14:23needs reconnecting. uh for tasks whose
  439. 14:25output nobody actually reads anymore. It
  440. 14:27suggests pausing these uh scheduled
  441. 14:29tasks and it also checks uh which ones
  442. 14:31are simple enough to run on sonnet
  443. 14:33instead of opus for example because
  444. 14:35entropics own advice is to keep opus for
  445. 14:37complex multi-step work and for simple
  446. 14:40task like summaries sonnet is usually
  447. 14:42more than enough so it can suggest
  448. 14:44switching some of these scheduled tasks
  449. 14:45to cheaper models in my setup for
  450. 14:47example I found 23 scheduled tasks and
  451. 14:49routines only six of them I was actually
  452. 14:51using consistently uh one was failing
  453. 14:54and 18 were still running on older
  454. 14:55models and Four of them were simple
  455. 14:57enough to run on sonnet and once you
  456. 14:59approve it can pause or switch them off
  457. 15:01automatically for you. Again, you can
  458. 15:03download the detox skill for free in the
  459. 15:04first link in description. I highly
  460. 15:06recommend putting it on a weekly
  461. 15:08schedule task uh to audit the setup for
  462. 15:10you. And then all you have to do is go
  463. 15:12through the checklist whenever it's
  464. 15:13ready. And again, if you want to get
