- 0:00On the third day, I was brought back to
- 0:01my family. The fake heir, Christopher
- 0:02Parker, gets into a car crash in order
- 0:04to frame me as the mastermind. His
- 0:06mental state has deteriorated to one
- 0:07belonging to an 8-year-old. My older
- 0:09sister, Eliza Parker, thinks that I'm
- 0:10the one who hired someone to hit
- 0:12Christopher with a car. Because of that,
- 0:13she hates my guts and torments me
- 0:15endlessly. In order to take care of
- 0:16Christopher, Eliza eats with him and
- 0:18sleeps beside him every day. As for me,
- 0:19I'm used as the human mat that they can
- 0:21step on anytime they want. I'm arranged
- 0:23to take care of Christopher so that I
- 0:24can atone for my sins. As long as
- 0:25Christopher reveals an aggrieved
- 0:26expression, I'll get whipped 10 times
- 0:28regardless of the cause. I thought Eliza
- 0:30would find out the truth sooner or
- 0:31later, but in her haste to cure
- 0:32Christopher, she actually decides to
- 0:34send me to an underground lab as a test
- 0:35subject for their experiments just
- 0:37because the doctors there claim that the
- 0:38medication can help restore
- 0:39Christopher's mental state. Five years
- 0:40later, Eliza finally comes to pick me
- 0:42up. A mocking smile is etched onto her
- 0:44face as she sees how haggard I am. You
- 0:46should recognize your faults by now.
- 0:47It's been five years after all. If you
- 0:49dare lay a finger on Christopher after
- 0:50coming home with me, I'll definitely
- 0:52send you back here. I raise my head
- 0:53hazily, tears soon seeping out of my
- 0:55eyes due to how bright the light is.
- 0:56Then, I mutter softly, "There won't be a
- 0:58next time." Eliza won't have to worry
- 0:59about me seizing a chance to hurt her
- 1:01beloved Christopher. After all, the drug
- 1:02experiments conducted on me for the past
- 1:04five years have already ruined my body.
- 1:06There are only seven days left in my
- 1:07lifespan. Eliza Parker brought
- 1:08Christopher along when she came to pick
- 1:10me up. The dim basement was brighter
- 1:11than it had ever been in five years.
- 1:12Seeing the tears glistening on my face
- 1:14in the sunlight, Eliza assumed I was
- 1:15trying to win sympathy, her expression
- 1:17hardening into disgust. "Don't think
- 1:18putting on that look will make me feel
- 1:20sorry for you. You deserve this. If you
- 1:21hadn't hired someone to hit Christopher
- 1:23back then, he wouldn't be like this
- 1:24now." She slapped me hard across the
- 1:26face, reopening a battered wound. I
- 1:27lowered my head, swallowing the bitter
- 1:29blood pooling in my throat. Seeing no
- 1:31resistance, Eliza turned to the staff
- 1:32member nearby. "Christopher has been in
- 1:34this demented foolish state for five
- 1:35years. Is the medicine you promised
- 1:36ready yet?" She tenderly stroked
- 1:38Christopher's face. Christopher looked
- 1:39at me smugly, a shrewd glint flickering
- 1:41in his eyes. Every time he wore that
- 1:42expression, it meant I was about to be
- 1:44whipped. At the thought of the pain, I
- 1:45flinched, making Christopher smile with
- 1:47satisfaction. The lead researcher of the
- 1:49laboratory, Jean Harding, chuckled. "I
- 1:51told you that as long as you handed
- 1:52Sutton Parker over to me for five years,
- 1:53Christopher would recover. Take this
- 1:55medicine home. After seven days,
- 1:56Christopher will be back to normal.
- 1:58Eliza's eyes widened in delight as she
- 1:59reached out. Dr. Harding pulled back
- 2:01slightly. It's just that Sutton might
- 2:02might what? Eliza snatched the medicine,
- 2:04having no intention of listening, and
- 2:06left with Christopher in tow. Aren't you
- 2:07planning to take him back with you? Dr.
- 2:09Harding called out, pointing at me
- 2:10sprawled on the ground. Eliza paused,
- 2:12then yanked my arm to pull me to my
- 2:13feet. After a few staggering steps, I
- 2:15collapsed. Years of drug testing had
- 2:16deformed the bones throughout my body,
- 2:18leaving my skin and flesh close to
- 2:19rotting. Every step was an immense
- 2:21torment. I broke out in a cold sweat, a
- 2:22whimper escaping my lips. Christopher
- 2:24crouched beside me with feigned
- 2:25innocence, then suddenly burst into loud
- 2:27sobs. Eliza, Sutton bit me. Eliza's
- 2:29expression darkened. Sutton, 5 years
- 2:31have passed, and you still refuse to
- 2:33mend your ways? My teeth were pulled out
- 2:34a long time ago, I replied with great
- 2:36difficulty. How could I possibly bite
- 2:37him? Over 5 years I was tortured
- 2:39repeatedly, my limbs broken and reset,
- 2:41my flesh sliced open. To survive, I was
- 2:43reduced to fighting dogs for food. When
- 2:45I truly felt I could barely hold on, I
- 2:46went to great lengths to steal Dr.
- 2:48Harding's phone to beg Eliza to bring me
- 2:49home. Her refusal was immediate. You
- 2:51must pay the price for what you've done.
- 2:52Just stay there and be the test subject
- 2:54for Christopher's drugs. Quit plotting
- 2:55to come back and replace him.
