This NEW Breakout Gap Strategy Is Actually Good… — Transcript

1. 0:00So here we have a resistance area which
2. 0:02I switch all the way to the left hand
3. 0:03side we see that there's clean range
4. 0:05here to the left hand side. So number
5. 0:06one I'm going to mark this area right
6. 0:07over here and I'm going to focus on what
7. 0:10price is doing right at this point. Will
8. 0:12I be able to take a buy within this
9. 0:14range here? Yes or no? Let's take a look
10. 0:15at the 15 minute time frame. We're only
11. 0:16going to focus on the candles. Now look,
12. 0:19if you have a candle that's closing
13. 0:22bullish right over here, there are two
14. 0:24things you got to focus on. Look, one,
15. 0:26we have a rejection right over here and
16. 0:28we have consolidation area. This is
17. 0:30where traders, they want to take a buy
18. 0:32but you have all these issues here to
19. 0:34the left hand side. So what I want to do
20. 0:36is I want to wait to see if the candle
21. 0:39can break and close above 4704
22. 0:42because if we do, then if you look to
23. 0:45the left hand side, you have all this
24. 0:47clean range where price can move up.
25. 0:49>> Okay, so you're trading back into that
26. 0:50gap after closing above some key
27. 0:51resistance below the gap. This is
28. 0:53actually quite a simple approach to
29. 0:54trading breakouts but can be very clear
30. 0:56signals cuz you're not trading where the
31. 0:58buyers and sellers are fighting. You're
32. 0:59trading into a buyers gap or a sellers
33. 1:01gap which can be way stronger for
34. 1:03breakouts and easier targets. Check out
35. 1:04this indicator I built around this idea
36. 1:06with Lux Algo Quant. Right now we got a
37. 1:08potential setup on the Euro USD. It's
38. 1:10the 5 minute. We have two gaps below and
39. 1:13a clear support line that's already
40. 1:15plotted for us. We're looking for a
41. 1:16signal. We got a sell signal. We take
42. 1:18the short. Now our stop is either going
43. 1:20to go above that high or a place it
44. 1:21makes sense. My opinion be above this
45. 1:23gap. I'm going to target a full [music]
46. 1:24gap fill and we're going to go ahead and
47. 1:26play it out. Bang, full gap fill. Here's
48. 1:28a potential setup on the gold 5 minute
49. 1:30chart. As you can see support we have a
50. 1:32gap below. We're looking for a signal.
51. 1:33Here's a signal, short entry, stop above
52. 1:36[music] that recent swing, target a full
53. 1:37gap fill. If I'm far enough away, you
54. 1:39can target the top of the gap but we're
55. 1:41going for full gap fills. Wow, bang, the
56. 1:43gap barely filled but look when it did
57. 1:45fill, it made its reversal. Perfect
58. 1:47setup. Here's a potential setup on the
59. 1:48NQ 1 hour chart. We have an above gap.
60. 1:51We have our resistance. Now we just need
61. 1:52to close over for a signal. There's our
62. 1:54signal. I'm going to take my long. Stop
63. 1:56below this candle's low. I'm going to
64. 1:58target a full gap fill. This is a 400
65. 2:00point move we'd be going for. Bang,
66. 2:02fills that entire gap. To build this
67. 2:04indicator, I actually just took the idea
68. 2:06from the video, went over to Lux Algo
69. 2:08[music] Quant, and I gave it a visual
70. 2:10example as well of where I wanted the
71. 2:12signal to occur, as well as the target
72. 2:13area with the gap and resistance. As I
73. 2:16was building it and adjusting the
74. 2:18design, I was also able to view it on
75. 2:19the Lux Algo chart. As you can see here,
76. 2:21we have that breakout signal through
77. 2:23that support [music] line and targeting
78. 2:24those lower gaps. And I want to give you
