- 0:00There's a book that almost no one talks
- 0:02about out loud, but those who have read
- 0:04it have never lived the same way again.
- 0:06It was written almost 100 years ago by a
- 0:09woman at a time when no one listened to
- 0:12women who spoke about power, about
- 0:14wealth, about controlling their own
- 0:16reality. And yet, the book survived. It
- 0:20survived wars, economic crises, [music]
- 0:23the internet, TikTok. While most
- 0:25self-help books disappear within [music]
- 0:275 years, this one has only gained
- 0:30momentum quietly in the hands of
- 0:33thousands of people who have discovered
- 0:34something disturbing. Reality follows
- 0:37rules. And almost no one knows them. The
- 0:40author's name is Florence [music] Scovel
- 0:42Shinn.
- 0:44And what she wrote anticipated decades
- 0:46earlier things that neuroscience has
- 0:48only recently begun to prove.
- 0:51She doesn't talk about luck. She doesn't
- 0:53talk about effort. She talks about laws,
- 0:56laws that, according to her, govern
- 0:59everything that happens in your life,
- 1:01from the money you have to the [music]
- 1:03love you receive to the health you carry
- 1:05in your body. And the most unsettling
- 1:07part, she says you're already following
- 1:10those laws except, probably, in reverse.
- 1:15Today, I'm going to show you five of
- 1:17these laws one by one. And if you pay
- 1:20attention until [music] the end, you
- 1:22might realize that you're sabotaging
- 1:24your own life without even knowing
- 1:25[music] it.
- 1:27Life is not a battle. It's a game.
- 1:31Florence opens her most famous book, The
- 1:34Game of Life and How to Play It,
- 1:36>> [music]
- 1:36>> with a sentence that shatters everything
- 1:38you've learned up to this point. She
- 1:40says, "Most people treat life like a
- 1:43war, a constant struggle, a daily battle
- 1:46against the world." But she disagrees
- 1:48[music]
- 1:49completely. For her, life is a game, and
- 1:53every game has rules.
- 1:55Rules that work whether you know them
- 1:57[music] or not.
- 1:59Think about it for a second. If life is
- 2:01a battle, the strongest wins, the one
- 2:04who works the hardest, the one who
- 2:06endures the longest. But if life is a
- 2:09game, the winner is the one who
- 2:11understands the rules. And this is
- 2:14[music] where things take a turn for the
- 2:15worse, because according to Florence, no
- 2:18one suffers because the universe is
- 2:20unfair.
- 2:22People suffer because they are playing
- 2:23the wrong game. [music] They are
- 2:25breaking laws they don't even know
- 2:27exist. It tells the story of a woman
- 2:29completely drowning [music] in debt, no
- 2:32way out, no hope. But upon investigating
- 2:35her mind, Florence [music] discovers
- 2:37something revealing. This woman's
- 2:39consciousness was consumed by excuses,
- 2:42by fear, by an internal dialogue of I
- 2:45can't.
- 2:47The instant she changes that discourse,
- 2:48[music] not the circumstances, the
- 2:51discourse, everything begins to move.
- 2:54Another example, a person completely
- 2:56stuck [music] in life. They only break
- 2:58free when they stop fighting against
- 3:00what is happening, when they let [music]
- 3:02go of control.
- 3:03And that's no coincidence. Florence is
- 3:06relentlessly consistent [music] on this
- 3:07point. First comes internal correction.
- 3:11Then, always after that, comes [music]
- 3:14external change, never the other way
- 3:16around. She even quotes scripture, "If
- 3:19you are willing and obedient, you will
- 3:21eat [music] the good things of the
- 3:22land." But she doesn't read it as
- 3:24religion. She reads [music] it as
- 3:26mechanics, as the physics of
- 3:28consciousness. And that changes
- 3:30everything because it means one thing,
- 3:32the [music] obstacles in your life are
- 3:34not a curse, nor destiny. They are
- 3:36simply misunderstandings about the law.
- 3:39Understand the law, the blockade
- 3:41disappears.
- 3:42But that's only the first piece of the
- 3:44puzzle. The next one is even more
- 3:46disturbing. Your mouth may be destroying
- 3:49your life right now.
- 3:52Florence had an obsession. She wrote not
- 3:54one, but two entire books on a single
- 3:57subject, the word you speak. And she was
- 4:01adamant, her words are never neutral.
- 4:04They don't describe your life, they
- 4:06create your life.
- 4:08Stop for a second and think about how
- 4:10many times a day you say phrases like,
- 4:13"I never have enough money."
- 4:15"Nothing ever goes right for me."
- 4:18"I always attract the wrong [music]
- 4:19people."
- 4:21"I'm exhausted." Each of these sentences
- 4:23is not just a comment, it's an order, a
- 4:26direct [music] instruction sent to your
- 4:28own reality. And the scariest part is
- 4:31you probably don't even realize you're
- 4:32doing [music] it. Florence said that
- 4:35when someone replaces fear with faith in
- 4:37their own words, everything changes. Not
- 4:40because words are magic, but because
- 4:42words reveal and reinforce [music]
- 4:44the consciousness behind them.
- 4:47She quotes the Bible once more.
- 4:49"Death and life
- 4:50>> [music]
- 4:50>> are in the power of the tongue."
- 4:53Taken literally, this phrase is radical.
- 4:56>> [music]
- 4:56>> And modern science, centuries later,
- 4:58began to confirm exactly that. Thoughts
- 5:01are vibrational impulses. Words are the
- 5:04amplified, crystallized version of those
- 5:06impulses. It is thought taking [music]
- 5:08shape in the physical world. So, here's
- 5:11a simple but uncomfortable exercise.
- 5:13>> [music]
- 5:13>> Pay attention to everything you say for
- 5:16the next 24 hours.
- 5:18You'll probably be surprised by how
- 5:20often negative phrases slip out of your
- 5:22mouth without you even realizing it. And
- 5:25here's the crucial point. If you can
- 5:27stop speaking [music] your negative
- 5:28thoughts aloud, you cut off the oxygen
- 5:31that keeps them alive. Your words are
- 5:34the door, the boundary between the inner
- 5:36and outer worlds. And according to Shin,
- 5:40you're the one who decides what goes
- 5:41through [music] that door. But changing
- 5:43the words is only the second step. The
- 5:46third principle is even more
- 5:47counterintuitive and in a way goes
- 5:50against [music] everything you've
- 5:51learned about trying harder.
- 5:54Why fighting the problem only makes it
- 5:56worse.
- 5:58Hold on to that idea because it's
- 6:00uncomfortable. The more you resist
- 6:02something, [music] the more power you
- 6:03give that thing to continue existing.
- 6:06Florence based [music] this on a phrase
- 6:08from Jesus, often misinterpreted,
- 6:11do not [music] resist evil.
- 6:14This is not about passivity. It's about
- 6:16[music] a strategy of awareness. She
- 6:18explained, when you emotionally resist a
- 6:21situation, when you [music] fight fear
- 6:23and rebel against it, you are
- 6:25unknowingly feeding exactly what you
- 6:27want to destroy.
- 6:29>> [music]
- 6:29>> Fear keeps fear alive. Resentment keeps
- 6:32the past alive. Conflict perpetuates
- 6:34conflict. It may seem contradictory, but
- 6:37it's true. The emotional energy you
- 6:39invest in trying to destroy a problem is
- 6:42usually the same energy that sustains
- 6:44[music] it. And Florence has story after
- 6:46story of people who only achieved what
- 6:48they wanted after they stopped [music]
- 6:50fighting, after giving up control, after
- 6:52simply letting go.
- 6:54>> [music]
- 6:54>> This doesn't mean giving up on the goal.
- 6:57It means giving up the internal struggle
- 6:59against the current reality.
- 7:01>> [music]
- 7:01>> And when you do that, you open up space
- 7:03for a greater order to reorganize
- 7:05things.
- 7:07She herself quotes another intriguing
- 7:09biblical passage,
- 7:11agree with your adversary quickly.
- 7:13It's not about agreeing with people.
- 7:15It's about stopping internally
- 7:17disagreeing with your own reality
- 7:19because that disagreement is what blocks
- 7:21the flow.
- 7:22Here's a simple equation that sums it
- 7:24all up. Desire plus nonresistance
- 7:27[music] equals desired outcome. But
- 7:29here's the problem. The exact moment you
- 7:32desire something, your mind
- 7:34automatically starts [music] noticing
- 7:35its absence.
- 7:37I don't have time. I don't have any
- 7:39money.
- 7:40I don't deserve this. That never works
- 7:43for me. Each of these thoughts is
- 7:45resistance [music] disguised as realism.
- 7:47And according to Florence, if your
- 7:49thoughts create [music] your reality,
- 7:51then maintaining a state of
- 7:53non-resistance to what you want is as
- 7:55important as the desire itself. But this
- 7:58raises an obvious question. If I
- 8:00shouldn't focus on my current reality,
- 8:03what exactly [music] should I focus on?
- 8:06The answer is the fourth principle. And
- 8:09it is without a doubt
- 8:10>> [music]
- 8:10>> the strangest of all until you
- 8:12understand the science behind it.
- 8:15You need to live in the future before it
- 8:17exists.
- 8:19Florence taught something [music] that
- 8:20seemed like madness at the time. The
- 8:22mental image always comes before the
- 8:24physical manifestation. [music]
- 8:26Always, without exception. She called it
- 8:29mentally occupying the already
- 8:31accomplished state. In other words, act,
- 8:34think, and feel as if what you want has
- 8:37already happened long before any
- 8:39evidence appears in the real world.
- 8:42And she had some amazing stories about
- 8:44it. A woman separated from her husband
- 8:47for years [music] begins setting the
- 8:49dinner table every night for two as if
- 8:51he were coming home that evening.
- 8:53She does this every [music] day
- 8:55with no sign that it will work.
- 8:58After two months of this exact routine,
- 9:01the husband reappears and they
- 9:03reconcile. Coincidence?
- 9:06Perhaps.
- 9:08But Florence had dozens of cases like
- 9:10that. Another woman with no resources
- 9:12whatsoever begins [music] to make plans
- 9:14and drawings of her dream house even
- 9:16before she knows if she could ever
- 9:18afford it. Months later, he finds that
- 9:21exact house.
- 9:23Florence said that faith, in the sense
- 9:25she [music] used it, should follow
- 9:26action, not the other way around. And
- 9:29what's most interesting [music] is that
- 9:31modern neuroscience, almost a century
- 9:33later, has proven part of this.
- 9:35>> [music]
- 9:36>> Elite athletes who only visualize their
- 9:38movements exhibit muscle activation
- 9:41equivalent to those who actually train
- 9:42[music] physically.
- 9:44Pianists who only imagine playing a
- 9:46piece show in MRI scans
- 9:48>> [music]
- 9:49>> practically the same brain activity as
- 9:51those who are actually playing. Your
- 9:53mind doesn't perfectly distinguish
- 9:55between [music] vivid imagination and
- 9:57real experience. And that is precisely
- 9:59where the power and the danger [music]
- 10:02of what Florence taught lies. Because if
- 10:04that's true, it means that right now
- 10:07you're imagining something. And that
- 10:09thing, sooner or later, is [music]
- 10:11crystallizing in your life.
- 10:13The question is,
- 10:14are you consciously choosing what you
- 10:16imagine? Or are you on autopilot,
- 10:19repeating [music] the same fears over
- 10:21and over again?
- 10:23This brings us to the last and perhaps
- 10:24[music] most powerful of the five laws.
- 10:28The most radical faith you've ever heard
- 10:30of.
- 10:31When you hear the word faith, you
- 10:33probably think of religion, of something
- 10:35spiritual, [music] distant, abstract.
- 10:38Florence completely disagrees.
- 10:41For her, faith is not about believing in
- 10:43God, [music] an angel, or any external
- 10:46force.
- 10:47Faith is, simply, [music]
- 10:49what you believe in.
- 10:50Period.
- 10:52If you deeply believe in scarcity, your
- 10:54faith is in scarcity. [music]
- 10:56If you believe in abundance, your faith
- 10:59is in abundance.
- 11:00There is no such thing [music] as
- 11:01without faith.
- 11:03Everyone has faith in something.
- 11:06The question is, in what?
- 11:09And here Florence [music] tells one of
- 11:10the strangest stories in the Bible to
- 11:12illustrate this.
- 11:14Three kings from Israel, Judah, and Edom
- 11:17set out to war [music] across the
- 11:18desert. Midway through their journey,
- 11:21they run completely out of water. Their
- 11:23armies, their animals, everything begins
- 11:26to die of thirst. Desperate, they seek
- 11:29out the [music] prophet Elisha. And the
- 11:31instruction they receive is bizarre. Dig
- 11:34trenches. Dig trenches all over this dry
- 11:37valley. No sign of wind, not a cloud in
- 11:41the sky, no logical reason to believe it
- 11:44will rain.
- 11:45Still, the soldiers, exhausted,
- 11:47dehydrated, obey. They dig. And then,
- 11:51the next [music] morning, out of
- 11:53nowhere, a flood surges from the
- 11:55distance and fills each of those
- 11:57ditches. The soldiers survive. And by
- 12:00chance, [music]
- 12:01the reflection of the sun in the puddles
- 12:02confuses the enemy armies, who end
- 12:05[music] up destroying each other, giving
- 12:07victory to the three kings without even
- 12:09needing to fight. Florence uses this
- 12:11story to prove an essential point. True
- 12:14faith is not about sitting around
- 12:16waiting. It's about acting before any
- 12:19proof appears. According to her, most
- 12:22people do the opposite. They stare at
- 12:24the horizon, waiting to see wind and
- 12:27rain, concrete signs, before they move.
- 12:30But the law works the other way around.
- 12:33First, you dig the trench. Then the
- 12:35water comes. And she gave practical and
- 12:38simple examples of this.
- 12:39A woman looking for a job doesn't stay
- 12:41home waiting. [music]
- 12:43She buys a new work bag. She plans her
- 12:45route to the office that doesn't yet
- 12:47exist for her. Someone dreaming of
- 12:49traveling abroad buys a winter coat,
- 12:52even though they have zero savings. A
- 12:54person wanting to buy a house buys a
- 12:56small decorative object [music] just for
- 12:59that future house. Each of these actions
- 13:01is a trench being [music] dug. A signal
- 13:04sent, not to the world, but to one's own
- 13:07subconscious mind. This [music] is
- 13:09already decided.
- 13:11And gradually, the outside world
- 13:13organizes itself [music] to confirm what
- 13:15has already been decided internally.
- 13:18After immersing myself in Florence
- 13:20Scovel Shinn's books, I've come to a
- 13:22conclusion that changes the way I see
- 13:25>> [music]
- 13:25>> all of this.
- 13:26She was never just teaching
- 13:27manifestation as an isolated trick. She
- 13:30was describing how human consciousness
- 13:32[music] actually operates.
- 13:35The words you speak, the images you hold
- 13:37in your mind, the [music] resistance you
- 13:39offer or don't offer, the faith you
- 13:42place consciously or unconsciously
- 13:44[music] in something. None of these
- 13:46things are separate. They are different
- 13:48facets of the same mechanism. [music]
- 13:50Your inner world invariably crystallizes
- 13:53in your outer world. And perhaps [music]
- 13:55that is precisely why this little book,
- 13:58written almost a century ago, continues
- 14:00to be read, whispered, and silently
- 14:03shared between generations. Because
- 14:05language has changed, clothes have
- 14:08changed, technology [music] has changed
- 14:10completely. But human consciousness,
- 14:13that remains exactly the same. [music]
- 14:15The game is still being played. The laws
- 14:17still apply whether you believe in them
- 14:19or not. And the invitation Florence left
- 14:22still resonates in the same way it did
- 14:24when she first wrote those words. Learn
- 14:27the rules. Master your consciousness.
- 14:30And watch with your own eyes as your
- 14:33reality begins to reorganize itself. If
- 14:36this content [music] opened any doors in
- 14:38your mind today, let me know.
- 14:40Like this video.
- 14:42Comment below which of these [music]
- 14:44five laws resonated with you the most. I
- 14:47really read every comment. And if you've
- 14:49made it this far,
- 14:50>> [music]
- 14:50>> you already know. You're not alone in
- 14:53this quest. There's a whole community of
- 14:55people [music] trying to understand
- 14:57these exact same laws, trying to play
- 14:59this game more consciously. [music]
- 15:01Subscribe to the channel, turn on
- 15:03notifications, and if you know someone
- 15:05who needs to hear exactly [music] this
- 15:07today, share this video with them.
- 15:09Because this journey of awareness is not
- 15:11[music] meant to be undertaken alone. It
- 15:13is meant to be shared.
- 15:29>> Mhm.
