  1. 0:00In the early 1900s, a woman wrote what I
  2. 0:02believe are some of the most important
  3. 0:04books ever written on consciousness and
  4. 0:06the relationship between the inner world
  5. 0:08and the outer world. And most people
  6. 0:10know her classic The Game of Life and
  7. 0:12How to Play It, but hidden in the shadow
  8. 0:13of that book is another shorter,
  9. 0:15simpler, and arguably even more profound
  10. 0:18book, Your Word Is Your Wand. Today,
  11. 0:21neuroscience tells us that the words we
  12. 0:22repeatedly speak reinforce neural
  13. 0:24pathways. They change how we perceive
  14. 0:26and interact with the world, but
  15. 0:27Florence Scovel Shinn believed they did
  16. 0:29even more. That every word you speak
  17. 0:31sends a powerful vibration into the
  18. 0:33quantum field and crystallizes what you
  19. 0:36speak into reality itself. In today's
  20. 0:38episode, we're going to unpack why this
  21. 0:39nearly century-old book is more relevant
  22. 0:41than ever and how changing the way that
  23. 0:43you speak may just be the most powerful
  24. 0:46tool that you can start using today to
  25. 0:48re-engineer your tomorrow. So, let's get
  26. 0:50into it.
  27. 0:53All right, guys. Everything in this book
  28. 0:56literally revolves around one sentence,
  29. 0:59and that is your word is your wand. And
  30. 1:02Florence doesn't mean this
  31. 1:03metaphorically. She literally means that
  32. 1:06the words that you speak are like
  33. 1:08casting spells. And you know what? It's
  34. 1:11probably no coincidence that a big part
  35. 1:13of our education and use of language is
  36. 1:16a thing called spelling. I mean, come
  37. 1:18on. We are spell casters. And the thing
  38. 1:21is, most of us have a pretty crappy
  39. 1:23filter on the words that we speak. We
  40. 1:25are not careful with our tongue, and I'm
  41. 1:27including myself in the we here, guys,
  42. 1:29because
  43. 1:30how often do you find yourself saying,
  44. 1:32"I'm tired. I don't feel good. I don't
  45. 1:34have time. It's going to be hard." It is
  46. 1:37so easy to complain, to judge, and not
  47. 1:41just ourselves, but others as well. And
  48. 1:44what Florence says is that every time
  49. 1:47you open your mouth, it is a creative
  50. 1:48act. Like when you speak positive words,
  51. 1:52you are blessing yourself. You're
  52. 1:53blessing others. When you speak
  53. 1:55negatively over yourself or your life,
  54. 1:57you are literally cursing yourself. So,
  55. 2:00every sentence that you repeatedly speak
  56. 2:02is a command to the subconscious and a
  57. 2:05declaration to what she calls divine
  58. 2:06law. And so, your words are seeds that
  59. 2:09you are planting and they eventually
  60. 2:11become your reality. This is so
  61. 2:13important to understand
  62. 2:15because it can feel like trying to
  63. 2:18change your beliefs, even just becoming
  64. 2:20aware of them, or the way that you think
  65. 2:23or the way that you feel
  66. 2:24is hard. And that may in and of itself
  67. 2:28be a limiting belief, but it is much
  68. 2:30easier to be aware of what you're saying
  69. 2:33and to change the way that you speak.
  70. 2:36So, one of the really powerful tools in
  71. 2:38personal growth that I don't think has
  72. 2:40gotten very much attention, that really
  73. 2:43isn't spoken about very much, no pun
  74. 2:45intended, is to use your language and
  75. 2:48what you speak on a regular basis
  76. 2:51as a way to change your consciousness.
  77. 2:52So, I'm going to walk you through five
  78. 2:54principles from Your Word Is Your Wand
  79. 2:57that you can take and use as a framework
  80. 3:00to go beyond today's episode and create
  81. 3:03real change in yourself and in your
  82. 3:04life.
  83. 3:05Principle number one, what you say
  84. 3:07reveals what you think. Now, this is a
  85. 3:10super powerful and super simple
  86. 3:12observation that Florence makes. She
  87. 3:13says that your words reveal your
  88. 3:16consciousness. In other words, if I was
  89. 3:18to walk around for a week and record
  90. 3:20everything that you say,
  91. 3:21we'd have a pretty good idea of what
  92. 3:23your current state of consciousness is.
  93. 3:25Like, what you believe about yourself,
  94. 3:26what you believe about money, what you
  95. 3:28believe about time, about relationships,
  96. 3:31whether you were someone who was
  97. 3:32confident or someone who was indecisive,
  98. 3:35someone who compared yourself to other
  99. 3:36people or who had high self-esteem or
  100. 3:39personal insecurities.
  101. 3:41Your thoughts, which are very subtle
  102. 3:44vibrations,
  103. 3:45make their way into reality first and
  104. 3:48foremost through your speech.
  105. 3:50In other words,
  106. 3:52your mouth is like a portal between your
  107. 3:55inner world and the external reality.
  108. 3:57And the words that flow out become the
  109. 3:59seeds that you're planting into your
  110. 4:01reality. And this is so true. You know,
  111. 4:03if you're hanging out with someone who
  112. 4:05has a lot of self-confidence, they don't
  113. 4:07use words that would sound like
  114. 4:09people-pleasing. They don't constantly
  115. 4:11apologize. They don't say things to try
  116. 4:13to impress other people. Their words
  117. 4:15prove who they are, and who they are is
  118. 4:18their consciousness. But on the other
  119. 4:19hand, if you're hanging out with someone
  120. 4:20who is financially insecure, for
  121. 4:23example, they'll put down other people
  122. 4:25who have money. They'll talk about how
  123. 4:27they never have enough money. They'll
  124. 4:28talk about how they can't afford things
  125. 4:30or how money is hard to make because
  126. 4:32that's the current state of their
  127. 4:33consciousness. What's amazing about this
  128. 4:35is that if you can begin to catch
  129. 4:37yourself and the words that you speak
  130. 4:40that are not in alignment with the
  131. 4:41reality that you want, and you close the
  132. 4:44portal, right? You close your mouth,
  133. 4:47over time, you'll literally choke that
  134. 4:49old consciousness out, and your reality
  135. 4:51will begin to change. I mean, think
  136. 4:53about this.
  137. 4:54Think about if you could just go 7 days
  138. 4:57without complaining.
  139. 4:59Like, if you could go 7 days without
  140. 5:00complaining, what a new habit you would
  141. 5:02be building inside of yourself?
  142. 5:05And what a different person you would
  143. 5:06be? Because you would no longer be a
  144. 5:08person who's complaining.
  145. 5:10And if you were no longer a person who's
  146. 5:12complaining, do you think if you were
  147. 5:14able to build that kind of discipline,
  148. 5:16it might start to change your
  149. 5:17perception, change your relationships,
  150. 5:20change your reality?
  151. 5:22Science actually tells us that it will.
  152. 5:24There was a well-known mental and
  153. 5:25physical conditioning coach. I've talked
  154. 5:27about him before, Trevor Moawad, and he
  155. 5:29worked with collegiate and professional
  156. 5:31athletes. And what he discovered was
  157. 5:33that negative language and complaining
  158. 5:35dramatically affected athletic
  159. 5:38performance. And so, he worked with
  160. 5:40championship players and teams like
  161. 5:41Russell Wilson, the University of
  162. 5:43Alabama football team, Florida State's
  163. 5:452013 national championship team, and he
  164. 5:48focused almost exclusively on what's
  165. 5:51called language reconditioning.
  166. 5:53And there was a massive direct
  167. 5:55correlation between players and teams
  168. 5:57who learned to speak optimistically
  169. 5:59and their increase in performance on the
  170. 6:02football field. Literally, by learning
  171. 6:03to eliminate complaining and negative
  172. 6:05self-talk, they were able to increase
  173. 6:07their performance. And what Moawad found
  174. 6:10was that negative speech was actually 10
  175. 6:12times more powerful than positive
  176. 6:14speech. And so, here we're not even
  177. 6:16talking about having uncover your
  178. 6:17limiting beliefs and change your
  179. 6:18beliefs. We're not talking about having
  180. 6:20a perfect mindset. We're not even
  181. 6:22talking about speaking positively all
  182. 6:25the time. We're just saying eliminate
  183. 6:27the negative self-talk and your negative
  184. 6:30language, and you can dramatically
  185. 6:31increase your life results. And this
  186. 6:33makes sense
  187. 6:35when you understand principle number
  188. 6:36two.
  189. 6:37Principle number two, your words
  190. 6:39reinforce your identity.
  191. 6:41Now, it's one thing for someone to tell
  192. 6:43you that you can't afford something or
  193. 6:45that money is hard to make or even that
  194. 6:48you're not good enough or you don't
  195. 6:49deserve to be loved or that you're not
  196. 6:50worthy of abundance.
  197. 6:52But it's a much different thing when you
  198. 6:53tell yourself that. When you speak it
  199. 6:56and hear it in your own words, because
  200. 6:58when others speak negatively about you,
  201. 7:01it still has to pass through your
  202. 7:02conscious filter. Like, okay, do I
  203. 7:04believe what they're saying? Do I agree
  204. 7:05with it? Like, what do I even think
  205. 7:07about this person? Do I value what this
  206. 7:09person has to say? Do I trust what this
  207. 7:11person has to say?
  208. 7:12And while we may all find ourselves at
  209. 7:15different times being influenced by what
  210. 7:16other people say and think, at least we
  211. 7:18have a filter here. But when you say
  212. 7:20something about yourself,
  213. 7:22it penetrates directly to the
  214. 7:25subconscious mind. Why?
  215. 7:27Because when you speak about yourself in
  216. 7:29a particular way,
  217. 7:31you assume it to be true. Like, I always
  218. 7:33mess up. I never get it right. It's
  219. 7:35always my fault. Those words reinforce
  220. 7:38the old limiting beliefs, and And
  221. 7:40continue to strengthen the neural
  222. 7:42pathways that have built your identity
  223. 7:45and keep you locked into that identity.
  224. 7:47And therefore that reality because your
  225. 7:49identity is always going to reflect back
  226. 7:51to you who you believe yourself to be.
  227. 7:53The good news is that when we use the
  228. 7:56same process, we can actually begin to
  229. 7:59rebuild or reprogram our identity. This
  230. 8:01is why affirmations can be so powerful.
  231. 8:03When we affirm ourselves, that also goes
  232. 8:06directly to the subconscious mind and
  233. 8:07starts to reprogram who we believe
  234. 8:09ourselves to be. So I am worthy. I am
  235. 8:11good enough. I'm always learning. Every
  236. 8:14day and every way I'm getting better and
  237. 8:16getting stronger. I want you to think
  238. 8:17about how do you speak about yourself
  239. 8:19today?
  240. 8:20Do you speak about yourself using
  241. 8:22powerful language?
  242. 8:24Or do you sometimes use negative, which
  243. 8:26is destructive language?
  244. 8:29And just notice for the next 24 hours
  245. 8:31what words you speak about yourself. Do
  246. 8:33a little inventory.
  247. 8:34Even if you notice just a couple of
  248. 8:36times that you were about to say
  249. 8:37something negative about yourself, and
  250. 8:39you keep that portal closed, that will
  251. 8:41begin to create powerful subconscious
  252. 8:44shifts that over time will change not
  253. 8:46only your life, but will also change
  254. 8:48you. Again, it's not about doing this
  255. 8:50perfectly. It's about making small
  256. 8:51changes that produce dramatic results in
  257. 8:53your life. I think that's why Christ
  258. 8:54said all you need is the faith of a
  259. 8:56mustard seed to tell the mountain to go
  260. 8:58from here to there. The mustard seed was
  261. 8:59the smallest seed. Small changes create
  262. 9:02dramatic results. Principle number
  263. 9:04three, faith is certainty before
  264. 9:06evidence seen. This is one of my
  265. 9:08favorite things that Florence talks
  266. 9:10about. A lot of modern readers think
  267. 9:12that Florence is talking about positive
  268. 9:14thinking, but that's actually not
  269. 9:16accurate. What she's obsessed with is
  270. 9:19one thing, which is faith.
  271. 9:21Not hope, she says. Hope says I wish.
  272. 9:25Faith says it already exists and it's
  273. 9:27only a matter of time. And so she really
  274. 9:30emphasizes the importance of faith,
  275. 9:33right? Faith of those things that that
  276. 9:35yet seen. And she continually tells
  277. 9:37stories about people acting as though
  278. 9:39their answer already exists. She talks
  279. 9:41about one client of hers who is buying
  280. 9:43furniture before the house even
  281. 9:44appeared. Another one who is preparing a
  282. 9:46room before the opportunity even
  283. 9:48arrived. Another person giving money
  284. 9:49when they actually didn't really have
  285. 9:51much to give or making plans before
  286. 9:53circumstances justify themselves. These
  287. 9:56are what she called demonstrations of
  288. 9:58faith.
  289. 9:59And one of my favorite distinction from
  290. 10:00her work is this.
  291. 10:02Hope waits. Faith prepares.
  292. 10:05And that is a phenomenal distinction.
  293. 10:07And how does it relate to the words that
  294. 10:08you speak? Stop speaking as if you're
  295. 10:11waiting. Acknowledge today that I am
  296. 10:14healthy.
  297. 10:15I am abundant. I am worthy today.
  298. 10:19Because the truth is that there is a
  299. 10:20healthy, wealthy,
  300. 10:23worthy version of you that does exist
  301. 10:25right here, right now. It's just that
  302. 10:26that version simply hasn't materialized
  303. 10:28yet. That current version of you, the
  304. 10:30you right now, is one version of you. It
  305. 10:33is really old news. It's a byproduct of
  306. 10:36how you've been thinking and feeling and
  307. 10:37speaking in the past.
  308. 10:39But so what? Today is a new day. And
  309. 10:42what you speak today becomes your
  310. 10:43soon-to-be tomorrow. This is why so many
  311. 10:46people struggle with the idea of
  312. 10:49incantations or affirmations. They say,
  313. 10:50"Yeah, but well, what I'm saying is not
  314. 10:52true. I'm not healthy. I'm sick. I'm not
  315. 10:54wealthy. I'm broke. I'm not worthy." But
  316. 10:57we live in a multi-dimensional reality.
  317. 10:59We only perceive one sliver of that
  318. 11:01reality, a third-dimensional reality
  319. 11:03that our senses can detect. But there's
  320. 11:04a fourth-dimensional field where all
  321. 11:06possibilities exist right here, right
  322. 11:08now. The great mystic Neville Goddard's
  323. 11:10spoke about this.
  324. 11:11And that reality is as equally valid as
  325. 11:14this third-dimensional,
  326. 11:16five-senses reality that sort of
  327. 11:18dominates our attention. But we dismiss
  328. 11:20it
  329. 11:21because
  330. 11:22it doesn't seem to be here yet. What I'm
  331. 11:24suggesting is don't dismiss it.
  332. 11:27Speak into that reality as if it were
  333. 11:30here today because it is. Feed that
  334. 11:32reality
  335. 11:33with your words and your energy and
  336. 11:35given a short period of time your
  337. 11:36current reality will be replaced by that
  338. 11:39one. So, speak what you want now from a
  339. 11:41place of knowing it already is
  340. 11:44and your reality must eventually catch
  341. 11:46up to match it. Principle number four,
  342. 11:48there is no competition.
  343. 11:50Now, this is an amazing concept and it
  344. 11:53is important if you want to eliminate
  345. 11:54the negative self-talk around comparing
  346. 11:56or scarcity or feeling like there's a
  347. 11:58limited amount of supply in the world
  348. 12:00around things like time or money. What
  349. 12:02Florence says
  350. 12:04is that someone else's success cannot
  351. 12:06take away or diminish yours. One
  352. 12:08person's abundance cannot reduce yours.
  353. 12:11And this is one of the most
  354. 12:12psychologically healthy teachings in the
  355. 12:14book because
  356. 12:15when you truly believe that you are on
  357. 12:18your own divinely guided path
  358. 12:21and that any desire that has been put
  359. 12:24into your heart comes with the resources
  360. 12:27to fulfill on that desire regardless of
  361. 12:29what other people's
  362. 12:30own individual paths look like
  363. 12:33then there's no need for comparison.
  364. 12:34There's no need for jealousy. There's no
  365. 12:36need for scarcity and you stop asking
  366. 12:39like, well, how do I get ahead of those
  367. 12:41people?
  368. 12:42Or worrying that other people have
  369. 12:44things and how it might take away from
  370. 12:46what you want and instead you simply
  371. 12:49focus on your own path. You know, not
  372. 12:51that long ago I used to feel this way.
  373. 12:53You know, when I decided I wanted to
  374. 12:54start helping people and sharing my
  375. 12:56thoughts and perspectives, I started
  376. 12:58studying the space and believe it or not
  377. 13:00before I really got into this work, I
  378. 13:02didn't really know who Tony Robbins was
  379. 13:04and a friend of mine said, "Hey, you
  380. 13:06should go check check him out, right?
  381. 13:08Like you're thinking about becoming a
  382. 13:09life coach."
  383. 13:10Back when I called myself a life coach.
  384. 13:13So, I went to this uh Tony Robbins event
  385. 13:16and there were like 10,000 people there
  386. 13:18and he was incredibly impressive. I
  387. 13:20mean, it was four unbelievable days
  388. 13:23and man, what an experience and I
  389. 13:25remember comparing myself to that and
  390. 13:26going, well, what's the point of me
  391. 13:27doing what I'm doing?
  392. 13:29Like if that already exists, then that
  393. 13:31space is already taken. Like why does
  394. 13:33the world need me? They already have a
  395. 13:34Tony Robbins, or they already have a Joe
  396. 13:36Dispenza, or they already have an
  397. 13:37Eckhart Tolle. But I came to realize
  398. 13:40that
  399. 13:41there are people who need to hear
  400. 13:44the perspective that I share.
  401. 13:46And there are people who aren't
  402. 13:47interested in the perspectives of other
  403. 13:49people. Everything is a frequency.
  404. 13:50Everything is a resonance. And that
  405. 13:52ultimately that meant there's space for
  406. 13:53everybody.
  407. 13:54And I found that to be true. And that
  408. 13:56was one of the beautiful things when I
  409. 13:58found Florence's work, I was like, "Ah,
  410. 14:00there's that distinction. There is no
  411. 14:02competition. If God or your higher power
  412. 14:04puts something in your heart, it means
  413. 14:06that that's what you're being called to
  414. 14:08do. And all of the resources that are
  415. 14:10necessary come along with it, regardless
  416. 14:12of what you see out there." And it also
  417. 14:14gives you an opportunity to live in more
  418. 14:16gratitude. I'm grateful for the work
  419. 14:18that other teachers do. I'm grateful for
  420. 14:21how many people have been called into
  421. 14:22personal growth by a lot of the people
  422. 14:25who have paved the way over the last 20,
  423. 14:2730, 40 years for the work that I now get
  424. 14:30to share in the world, and the
  425. 14:31opportunity for us to be here together.
  426. 14:33Again, the truth is that there's enough
  427. 14:34for everyone. And as you stop speaking
  428. 14:37unintelligently over yourself,
  429. 14:40that actually allows your path to begin
  430. 14:42to unfold and begin to align so that you
  431. 14:45can actually close the gap between where
  432. 14:47you are and the desire that you have.
  433. 14:48Over short period of time, that future
  434. 14:50that you envision will become your
  435. 14:51present moment. Principle number five,
  436. 14:53resistance strengthens what you fight.
  437. 14:57Now, this theme appears repeatedly in
  438. 14:58Your Word is Your Wand. What Florence
  439. 15:01says is attention is the creative force.
  440. 15:04And what you focus on expands. You know,
  441. 15:06I've shared that one of my mentors once
  442. 15:07told me that what you make matter
  443. 15:09becomes matter.
  444. 15:11Right? What you put your attention on
  445. 15:12crystallizes from the fourth dimension
  446. 15:14to the third dimension. It becomes
  447. 15:16available to the five senses, and it
  448. 15:18becomes your reality. And as humans, we
  449. 15:20tend to focus on the absence or the lack
  450. 15:24or the negative. It's part of the
  451. 15:25survival-based mechanism of the human
  452. 15:27being operating system. It's kind of a
  453. 15:28funny thing. It's like the moment you
  454. 15:30get clear that you want something,
  455. 15:32you're aware of two things. You're aware
  456. 15:34of the thing that you want, but you're
  457. 15:35also aware of the absence of it. And
  458. 15:37what ends up happening is the mind will
  459. 15:39just begin to explain the absence of it.
  460. 15:42We talk about the absence of it. And we
  461. 15:44start to reinforce beliefs around the
  462. 15:46absence of it. And so the absence
  463. 15:48remains
  464. 15:50because it's given so much attention.
  465. 15:51But the key is to starve out, to choke
  466. 15:55out the problem, and to give it no
  467. 15:57airtime. But you say, you know, hey,
  468. 15:59don't I have to solve the problem? Don't
  469. 16:00I have to figure out how to actually
  470. 16:02create the thing that I want? How to be
  471. 16:04How to create more health? How to find
  472. 16:05my soulmate? How to, you know, figure
  473. 16:08out how to create a successful business
  474. 16:09or become financially abundant? And I
  475. 16:11would say no, that's not actually your
  476. 16:13job. Right? The The problem will solve
  477. 16:16itself. The solution will emerge, and
  478. 16:18you will be a part of it. But the point
  479. 16:21is to stop talking about the problem or
  480. 16:24the absence of what you want.
  481. 16:26I've shared this story on other
  482. 16:28episodes, but back in, you know, 2023
  483. 16:30when I launched the podcast, I was
  484. 16:33getting about 5,000 listeners a month,
  485. 16:34and I was recording a couple of episodes
  486. 16:36every single week. And I was probably at
  487. 16:38episode 60, episode 70. I wasn't seeing
  488. 16:40a lot of growth.
  489. 16:42And I was becoming frustrated. I was
  490. 16:44paying a lot of attention to the
  491. 16:45underperformance of the podcast.
  492. 16:48And at about that time my son was born.
  493. 16:50And when my son was born, I
  494. 16:51All of my attention went to him.
  495. 16:54He sort of entered my solar system and
  496. 16:55rearranged the entire physics of my
  497. 16:57reality.
  498. 16:58What was interesting is that after a
  499. 16:59short period of time, the podcast took
  500. 17:02off. I literally went from 5,000
  501. 17:04listeners a month to a million listeners
  502. 17:06a month over the period of 1 month.
  503. 17:08And a friend of mine said, hey, like,
  504. 17:09how did that happen? How did the podcast
  505. 17:11explode? And my answer was, I stopped
  506. 17:13paying attention to the underperformance
  507. 17:15of the podcast.
  508. 17:16And so I stopped making that matter.
  509. 17:19And the byproduct of that was actually
  510. 17:21what I wanted. So, stop making your
  511. 17:24problems matter, right? Stop bringing
  512. 17:26resistance to your current reality,
  513. 17:30and stop speaking about them. Because
  514. 17:31speaking about them only strengthens
  515. 17:33them. So, what's the takeaway from all
  516. 17:36of this? I don't think Florence Scovel
  517. 17:37Shinn was giving us a manifestation
  518. 17:39technique. I think she was actually
  519. 17:41giving us an identity practice. Because
  520. 17:43every word that you speak is either
  521. 17:45reinforcing the person that you've been
  522. 17:46or rehearsing the person that you're
  523. 17:47becoming. Every complaint strengthens
  524. 17:50old neural pathways. Every declaration
  525. 17:52of possibility strengthens new ones. And
  526. 17:54every day you're teaching your
  527. 17:55subconscious who you are. And over time
  528. 17:57your subconscious organizes your
  529. 17:59emotions, your behaviors, your
  530. 18:01decisions, your relationships, your
  531. 18:02frequency,
  532. 18:04and ultimately that creates your life.
  533. 18:06So, maybe your word really is your wand.
  534. 18:10Not necessarily because you're magically
  535. 18:12controlling the universe, but because
  536. 18:13you're continually shaping the
  537. 18:15consciousness that creates
  538. 18:17reality itself. Right? So, this week
  539. 18:20here's my challenge for you. Become a
  540. 18:21guardian of your portal.
  541. 18:23Watch what comes in and out of your
  542. 18:24mouth. Remember your mouth is the portal
  543. 18:26between your inner world and the world
  544. 18:28that you're creating. So, before you
  545. 18:29speak ask yourself a simple question. Is
  546. 18:31what I'm about to say
  547. 18:32strengthening the person that I'm
  548. 18:34becoming or the person I'm trying to
  549. 18:35leave behind?
  550. 18:37And if it isn't aligned,
  551. 18:38don't say it. Close the portal. Because
  552. 18:40every word you refuse to speak weakens
  553. 18:42an old identity and every word that you
  554. 18:44intentionally choose plants new seeds.
  555. 18:46And enough new seeds becomes a new you
  556. 18:49and a new you becomes a new life. So, I
  557. 18:51hope you enjoyed this as much as I
  558. 18:52enjoyed sharing it with you. If you want
