16. 0:44is not overgrown she is avoiding putting
17. 0:47any weight through the heel of this
18. 0:49outer claw because it's hurting and
19. 0:52because of that she hasn't worn it
20. 0:54appropriately as you're just about to
21. 0:56see from my swipes of the knife this
22. 0:58hoof will open up into a cavity that has
23. 1:01been filled with a high pressure fluid
24. 1:04which in turn has been hurting the cow
25. 1:06above this foot it's my job as a

29. 1:17healthy and comfortable an animal as I

43. 2:03remove a substantial portion of it to
44. 2:06get to the root of the
45. 2:13problem using a circular motion and the
46. 2:16hook of my knife I trim right around the
47. 2:19legion before reducing the Wall
48. 2:23height I can't just dig a hole in a heel
49. 2:26round about the problem I need to
50. 2:28actually remove the material that is
51. 2:29making her heel high that extra height
52. 2:33is leading to extra pressure and that is
53. 2:36what has caused this problem in the

65. 3:17be around 5 or 6 mm thick so I'm always
66. 3:21cutting close to the edge as it were her
67. 3:24corium is what forms the hoof horn

70. 3:30leion if I trim too far I'll expose it
71. 3:33and cause an even greater
72. 3:36problem in an effort to lift that sore

76. 3:46now this strong two-part glue will hold

88. 4:22dermatitis and in turn hopefully allow
89. 4:25that new hoof horn to form
90. 4:27unhindered we wrap it up just to keep
91. 4:30that spray and the salicylic acid in
92. 4:33place we're not attempting to keep it
93. 4:35clean because on farms that's almost an
94. 4:38impossibility that wrap will come off
95. 4:40after a week or so and hopefully that
96. 4:43cow will be much more comfortable just
