1. 0:00They used to make fun of me and call me
2. 0:01church girl because I would pray before
3. 0:03all missions and I'm like, "You guys are
4. 0:05going to laugh at me, but these prayers
5. 0:06is what's keeping us safe."
6. 0:09And we had a lot of atheist, people who
7. 0:11were Buddhist, and they're like telling
8. 0:13me to my face, "I don't want to hear
9. 0:14your prayers." And I was like, "Well,
10. 0:15I'm still going to pray."
11. 0:17And we never got hit.
12. 0:20But,
13. 0:21what's crazy, um,
14. 0:23>> [applause]
15. 0:24>> is that when I got in trouble because I
16. 0:26was being a hothead overseas, I got in
17. 0:28trouble, and I got pulled off the road
18. 0:30as a punishment. So, I was angry. They
19. 0:33got hit every single time by a bomb. I
20. 0:36was not with them.
21. 0:38And so, one day I see my team leader
22. 0:41come up kind of clapping and I'm like,
23. 0:43"What's up, man?" He's like, "Hey, can
24. 0:45you come back out? Uh, we keep getting
25. 0:47hit and we need your protection.
26. 0:48Whatever you're praying is working."
27. 0:51I went back out and we were never hit
28. 0:53and as a testament, I was telling him in
29. 0:55the back, there's this one mission that
30. 0:57really always sticks with me. I was
31. 0:59falling asleep at the wheel. I was
32. 1:01working 12-hour, sometimes 16-hour days.
33. 1:04And I remember driving over a bomb and
34. 1:08it did not detonate. What happened is a
35. 1:10truck passed me and we usually wave and
36. 1:12I waved at them. They went past me, hit
37. 1:15the same bomb and blew up and killed two
38. 1:16of the guys.
39. 1:22Y'all, I was wild. I had speakers set up
40. 1:24in my truck, so I used to play church
41. 1:26music and they used to be mad at me cuz
42. 1:28I'd be up in there having full-blown
43. 1:29Pentecostal black church in my truck
44. 1:32playing music. I had my oil up in there.
45. 1:35My anointing oil, I'm like,
46. 1:37"Hey. Hey, you going to get hit, but I
47. 1:39ain't finna get hit. And, uh, you can
48. 1:42not WANT THESE PRAYERS ALL you want, but
49. 1:45I guarantee you this, that we ain't
50. 1:47getting touched and we came home with
51. 1:49300 people, nobody died."
