1. 0:53A lot of players are really hesitant to play the tank/roamer role
2. 0:56especially in soloQ.
3. 0:58Probably many think that it's extremely hard to carry in that role.
4. 1:02And to be frank, I do agree to a certain extent.
5. 1:05But don't get me wrong.
6. 1:07If your team has good ADC players, but the tank is really inexperienced,
7. 1:11then more often than not you will most likely have a really rough time throughout the whole match.
8. 1:17But if your team has just okay ADC players,
9. 1:20but the tank is really good,
10. 1:21then the chance of winning is a lot higher than the first case.
11. 1:25In this video, I will show you how much you can impact and dictate the flow of the game from start to finish as the tank
12. 1:33In this match I will be playing one of my favorite tanks of all time,
13. 1:36Franco.
14. 1:38I mean, back then I used to play Pudge a lot in Dota2,
15. 1:41so it was inevitable that I would end up liking Franco as well.
16. 1:48They got Fanny.
17. 1:49If I can delay her purple buff at the start of the game,
18. 1:52that would slow down her farm by quite a lot, especially her rotation.
19. 2:01Never take the mid route,
20. 2:02because there's a very high chance you will encounter some of the enemies.
21. 2:06Instead take the bot route.
22. 2:09In very high rank lobbies they will often know about this tactic,
23. 2:12but there are some instances that they might forget,
24. 2:15so shoot your shot.
25. 2:21Remember that the buff won't reset completely
26. 2:23the first time it gets out of its designated area.
27. 2:29But if I can hook it a second time,
28. 2:31it will completely return to its original spot.
29. 2:45I managed to hook Fanny
30. 2:47and there's no other heroes around the buff.
31. 2:49Which means it will return to its original spot and get a lot of its hp back.

34. 2:59but it has such a long cooldown, that I like to only use it when it's truly necessary.
35. 3:26Layla has Sprint, so I really thought we were not getting this kill.
36. 3:30But that probably gave her a false sense of security and she just overstayed.
37. 3:42Remember not to clear the minion wave.
38. 3:44Your marksman will most likely be back on time to take the gold catapult.
39. 3:50In the early game, it's always a good idea
40. 3:52to help your gold lane first.
41. 3:54But don't just completely babysit him.
42. 3:57And it's really important to rotate towards the turtle when it's about to spawn.
43. 4:01Many inexperienced tank players just disregard this part and stay in one lane,
44. 4:06babysitting the marksman the whole time.
45. 4:23Forced him to use Sprint and Ult.
46. 4:25That's still a pretty good outcome.
47. 4:41After annoying their jungler, it's time to go back to assist our marksman.

49. 4:58if you leave Layla unchecked and she gets all her core items,

53. 5:42We were actually quite lucky that it didn't land,
54. 5:45because most likely that would have resulted in a double kill for them.

57. 6:00which by the way, it's super OP in the current meta.

59. 6:22In any crisis,
60. 6:23try to find an opportunity.
61. 6:32Definitely a worth it trade.
62. 6:46It's extremely likely Alpha would ult me right away,
63. 6:49so I will side-step right away.
64. 7:00It's not a bad idea to let your teammates know if your ult is on cooldown.
65. 7:15The simple reason why we won this quite overwhelmingly,
66. 7:19it's because our tank is helping contest the turtle,
67. 7:22while their tank is still babysitting their ADC.
68. 7:26I have been on the other side as well,
69. 7:28where I am playing as the jungler
70. 7:29and the tank just keep babysitting the ADC.
71. 7:32So when that happens,
72. 7:33I would have no choice but to give the turtle away for free,
73. 7:36or else this same situation could happen.
74. 7:41Impressive moves by Layla.
75. 8:00At this point we are quite ahead,
76. 8:02sit's definitely not a bad idea to keep pressuring their jungle.
77. 8:08Checking every bush to make sure Fanny is not hiding
78. 8:11and just waiting to last hit the buff with Retribution.

80. 8:28but I am still surprised that Clint lost in a 1v1 against Layla.
81. 8:57Aww, that would have been a nice moment hooking Fanny like that,
82. 9:01but their rotation here was pretty good.
83. 9:16Whenever you are playing the tank, you want to be as annoying as possible.
84. 9:20But still know your limits and not just become free food for the opponents.
85. 9:36At this point, Fanny is probably already sick of Franco.
86. 9:56Remember, timing beats speed
87. 10:12Just the presence alone can make them quite uncomfortable
88. 10:15And sometimes, that's all you need.
89. 10:37It seems like Alpha is dead for sure.
90. 10:39So I will go for the next target instead.
91. 10:58A good tank is way more terrifying than a great ADC.
92. 11:16I don't have ult yet, so it would be quite pointless to try to hook them right now.
93. 11:26But I know exactly what would not be pointless.

96. 11:41I would hate to have to go against such an annoying tank when I am playing as the jungler.
97. 11:55Always keep your eyes on the opponents' main damage dealers.
