3. 0:03whistleblowers tyler schultz says the
4. 0:06jurors got it right when they convicted
5. 0:08elizabeth holmes kpix 5's len ramirez on

7. 0:14well tyler schultz was one of the first
8. 0:15theranos insiders to report the fraud
9. 0:18that he was witnessing inside the
10. 0:19company to both federal regulators and
11. 0:21the media and he paid a tremendous
12. 0:24personal price for being a whistleblower
13. 0:26yet he was never called to this
14. 0:28courthouse to testify in elizabeth
15. 0:30holmes trial
16. 0:31i would have been happy to testify tyler
17. 0:33schultz watched elizabeth holmes trial
18. 0:35and conviction from the sidelines the
19. 0:37grandson of theranos's influential board
20. 0:39member and former secretary of state
21. 0:42george schultz joined theranos fresh
22. 0:44after graduating from stanford he told
23. 0:46cbs mornings he once bought in to holmes
24. 0:49grandiose vision for revolutionizing
25. 0:51blood testing and health care even i
26. 0:54when i was working with the product
27. 0:56every single day seeing it fail time
28. 0:58after time after time i could go have a
29. 1:00five minute conversation with elizabeth
30. 1:02and feel like i was saving the world
31. 1:04again but he eventually saw through
32. 1:06theranos's questionable practices
33. 1:08alerted federal regulators and became an
34. 1:10anonymous source for the wall street
35. 1:12journal going against his grandfather's
36. 1:14wishes you know this whole saga has
37. 1:16taken a financial emotional end tolls on
38. 1:19my relationships and my grand the total
39. 1:21that i took on my grandfather's
40. 1:23relationship was was probably the worst
41. 1:25george schultz stood by holmes until the
42. 1:27very end he never quite apologized but
43. 1:30he at least
44. 1:31admitted that i was right about what i
45. 1:33saw and he congratulated me for doing
46. 1:35the right thing the prosecution didn't
47. 1:37call him as a witness why do you think
48. 1:39that is they didn't need him former
49. 1:41prosecutor and legal analyst michelle
50. 1:43hagan says the prosecution proved its
51. 1:45case on the four convictions but fell
52. 1:47short on four other counts and three
53. 1:49charges were undecided i think this jury
54. 1:52was very thoughtful in their verdict
55. 1:55hagen says holmes will serve time behind
56. 1:57bars but most likely far less than the
57. 1:59maximum of 20 years per charge she
58. 2:02called the case a tragedy for holmes and
59. 2:04her family you just can't dupe people
60. 2:08you can't do them out of money and you
61. 2:10can't dupe them based on a vision that
