  2. 0:01America we have freedom in America we're
  3. 0:03not China China they tell you who to
  4. 0:04vote for they get one party in China not
  5. 0:06in America we get two can we at least
  6. 0:09have two I I think that this was
  7. 0:10important because I think we were
  8. 0:12teetering on making America like
  9. 0:15California and and and you don't want
  10. 0:17that Rob Schneider is a beloved American
  11. 0:19Entertainer comedian actor best known

  34. 0:59[Music]
  35. 1:08Rob Schneider it's great to see you here
  36. 1:09on the Sunday special thanks for the
  37. 1:10time thank you for having me I I have my
  38. 1:13uh smarty pants glasses on uh so that um
  39. 1:17I appear intelligent and and don't have
  40. 1:19the usual meltdown as your University
  41. 1:21students have when you tear them apart
  42. 1:24on the debate stage I appreciate that
  43. 1:26although I I don't know what Rachel mat
  44. 1:28will do without her her glasses now that
  45. 1:30you've got them so or without her
  46. 1:32ratings I saw the ratings go down about
  47. 1:3556% hard to believe you know people
  48. 1:38after a while of being called uh you
  49. 1:41know calling people racist and
  50. 1:42misogynist it runs its course for the
  51. 1:44for Their audience and the I think
  52. 1:46they're moving on to some other more
  53. 1:49more or less hateful program to watch
  54. 1:51you know I I didn't know that it was
  55. 1:52possible for one person to go down 56%
  56. 1:55like what is 56% of an individual if the
  57. 1:57ratings decline by 56% only only like
  58. 2:00lower half is watching MSNBC now their
  59. 2:02ratings were so low to begin with there
  60. 2:03wasn't much to do but you know that does
  61. 2:05speak to a sea change that's happening
  62. 2:07in public life you know obviously you've
  63. 2:09been in the comedy world for your entire
  64. 2:11career I've never seen a more hilarious
  65. 2:14time that has less people laughing about
  66. 2:16it than than right now like everything
  67. 2:18is absolutely hilarious but you're
  68. 2:20really not supposed to laugh at any of
  69. 2:21it well you have to laugh at it that's
  70. 2:24the thing about it I mean when you have
  71. 2:26um it's just so funny that they spent
  72. 2:281.2 billion dollars and they still lost
  73. 2:33I mean that is hilarious and you're
  74. 2:34finding out stuff that's a comedy if you
  75. 2:37were writing a script even in Hollywood
  76. 2:39you go I don't know if that's believable
  77. 2:41but supposedly supposedly Biden when he
  78. 2:44stepped down was was stepped down when
  79. 2:46he was forced to step down remember the
  80. 2:49the July 24th I'm the candidate and I'm
  81. 2:52not backing away and it says I support
  82. 2:54Camala Harris as the ne but supposedly
  83. 2:57he didn't have this the um
  84. 3:00support or the backing of the democratic
  85. 3:04um Elite to go ahead and and push that
  86. 3:08send button but he's not sending that
  87. 3:10anyway somebody on his staff is but
  88. 3:12somebody did send out I completely
  89. 3:15support Cala supposedly before the um
  90. 3:19Democratic intelligencia all got behind
  91. 3:22her and that's why supposedly another
  92. 3:25supposedly that's why Obama waited three
  93. 3:27days to see if they can kind of undo
  94. 3:29this when they realized they couldn't
  95. 3:31they made the fake phone call with
  96. 3:33Michelle and um supported Cala and does
  97. 3:37any of that bring true to you yes I mean
  98. 3:39so I think that they they tried to blame
  99. 3:40Biden twice over so they tried to blame
  100. 3:42him for not getting out earlier which is
  101. 3:43actually true there's no way he should
  102. 3:44have run and then they tried to blame
  103. 3:46him for not allowing them to have their
  104. 3:47little mini primary process which would
  105. 3:49have been rigged in Kay Harris's favor
  106. 3:51anyway because there was no way they
  107. 3:52could shove aside the black female
  108. 3:55intersectional hero in favor of like
  109. 3:57what the Jew Josh Shapiro in
  110. 3:59Pennsylvania or in favor of you know
  111. 4:01genderless Kendall Gavin Nome in
  112. 4:03California or JB pritzker who has to be
  113. 4:05lowered into the state capital by crane
  114. 4:07like who who exactly was going to be
  115. 4:08their
  116. 4:09candidate it was really funny when
  117. 4:11pritzker you know the governor of H
  118. 4:13Illinois would ever come out during Co
  119. 4:15and talk about health it's like no talk
  120. 4:17about what you don't talk about what you
  121. 4:19don't know Health talk about what you do
  122. 4:21know what kind of diabetes and heart
  123. 4:22pressure medication are you taking what
  124. 4:24belt do you have to keep your pants from
  125. 4:26falling down what what you know um
  126. 4:29you're right they were stuck in a in a
  127. 4:31in a you know in a really tough tough
  128. 4:33position they could never have passed
  129. 4:36over Cala because a woman you know with
  130. 4:39many ethnic you know many ethnicities
  131. 4:42and many accents God knows seeing her
  132. 4:44you know down south and also you know
  133. 4:47you gota you got save democracy and then
  134. 4:49seeing her in Pittsburgh let me tell you
  135. 4:51something you don't vote let let me know
  136. 4:53and then seeing him or seeing her at a
  137. 4:55at a 7-Eleven it's very important that
  138. 4:58we support democracy
  139. 5:00very very very important that we come
  140. 5:04from a middle class family B not like
  141. 5:06you I do so it was it seemed like she
  142. 5:10wasn't the most the best prepared person
  143. 5:13for this very important uh job of
  144. 5:15running for president well I mean that's
  145. 5:17one side of the hilarious coin the other
  146. 5:19side of the hilarious coin is just the
  147. 5:20fact that Donald Trump is a World's
  148. 5:22historical figure and that is in and of
  149. 5:24itself innately hilarious like if you
  150. 5:26had made a joke about that in 2002 and
  151. 5:28many people made jokes about sort of
  152. 5:30thing in 2002 it would have just been a
  153. 5:32joke and then it turns out that actually
  154. 5:33he is a world historically important
  155. 5:35figure Donald Trump with all the foibles
  156. 5:38with all the craziness with all of the
  157. 5:40hilarity that is attended upon him but
  158. 5:41you're not supposed to even laugh at him
  159. 5:43according to the left you're not allowed
  160. 5:44to laugh at KLA Harris because she's a
  161. 5:45magical person and you're not allowed to
  162. 5:47laugh at Donald Trump because he's
  163. 5:48Hitler and you can't laugh at Hitler you
  164. 5:49can't really make jokes about him the
  165. 5:51only thing you can make jokes about is
  166. 5:52that maybe he's Hitler but you can't
  167. 5:54just make jokes about the fact that
  168. 5:55Donald Trump is innately like he himself
  169. 5:57is a very funny person like he is a
  170. 5:59stand up comedian working a room when he
  171. 6:01says I'm going to be you know dictator
  172. 6:04but just on day one he's joking and then
  173. 6:07for them to run with it like he promised
  174. 6:09he's going to be dictator I mean when
  175. 6:11Robert Kennedy said a couple of days ago
  176. 6:13if he follows through and what he says
  177. 6:14he's going to do with with free speech
  178. 6:17and and with and hopefully getting rid
  179. 6:20of the the um uh you know the Department
  180. 6:22of
  181. 6:23Education he stands to be the most
  182. 6:25consequential president since Lincoln I
  183. 6:28mean isn't that an odd thing to not only
  184. 6:30to say not only to hear but to realize
  185. 6:33that that there's truth in it isn't it
  186. 6:35out is that it's unbeliev it's wild
  187. 6:38because again I think that because he
  188. 6:39shatters the image that so many people
  189. 6:41have of what the president is or quote
  190. 6:43unquote should be yeah they miss the
  191. 6:45fact that underneath all of the
  192. 6:46Showmanship is a very serious person who
  193. 6:49has very serious policies and who is
  194. 6:51bringing in an excellent team at this
  195. 6:53point and so it's this what I I start
  196. 6:55off by saying with you is just like all
  197. 6:57of this should be really really funny
  198. 6:58right I mean the fact that Donald Trump
  199. 6:59was at a McDonald's and that he has the
  200. 7:02the sort of you know he has the sort of
  201. 7:05self- knowledge to understand okay I'm
  202. 7:06not going to like put on jeans and a
  203. 7:08t-shirt and work mi I'm going to wear
  204. 7:09like a $2,000 suit and I'm going to wear
  205. 7:11my tie and then I'm just put on like an
  206. 7:13apron and serve people fries out the
  207. 7:14window and make some of the funniest
  208. 7:16images in the history of presidential
  209. 7:18politics I mean how many memes did you
  210. 7:20see of him waving out the window and it
  211. 7:21was like Donald Trump to illegal
  212. 7:23immigrants in 2026 right like that like
  213. 7:26that stuff is innately funny but if you
  214. 7:27make jokes about it on the left then
  215. 7:30they get angry at you because you're not
  216. 7:31supposed to laugh at the fact that
  217. 7:32Donald Trump's a funny person or that
  218. 7:34this whole thing is really funny you're
  219. 7:35supposed to be perturbed you're supposed
  220. 7:37to be upset you're supposed to be deeply
  221. 7:38angry who wants to live like that well
  222. 7:41the the beautiful thing was how fast and
  223. 7:44how confident he was in his moves I mean
  224. 7:47really the the the the race was over
  225. 7:49several weeks before and and when Biden
  226. 7:52said you only garbages his supporters
  227. 7:55and then trying to put an apostrophe to
  228. 7:57say no what it wasn't his supporters G
  229. 7:59the garbage office too late and for and
  230. 8:02then when Trump showed up in a garbage
  231. 8:04truck I knew that at that point he's got
  232. 8:06you he's got you he's so deep in their
  233. 8:09psyche so deep and then then you know
  234. 8:12that you know that because what it is
  235. 8:14you're right the policies they wouldn't
  236. 8:15even say the policies here you had
  237. 8:17somebody Cala Harris saying that she is
  238. 8:19the the you know the justice and the the
  239. 8:22you know the Attorney General of
  240. 8:23California she she's going to be the one
  241. 8:25who prosecutes uh you know these cross
  242. 8:28national uh terrorists and I mean or
  243. 8:31these gangs and yes she wouldn't even
  244. 8:32come out against Proposition 36 which is
  245. 8:35a very mild thing about shoplifting
  246. 8:38which you know if you look at the bill
  247. 8:39which I didn't until last night was it
  248. 8:42doesn't even say that you have to
  249. 8:43prosecute them it says that you that at
  250. 8:45least has to go to the you know the
  251. 8:48district attorney and the district
  252. 8:49attorney will have to decide but that's
  253. 8:51something and she couldn't even come out
  254. 8:53against that so she really had no
  255. 8:55policies so but the policies of the
  256. 8:57democratic party for the last four years
  257. 8:58was was two hard for the Americans to
  258. 9:00stomach now the policies of of trump are
  259. 9:04good and sound but the form for a lot of
  260. 9:08Americans was hard to stomach in the
  261. 9:10form of Donald Trump and how he um
  262. 9:12manages to uh to go the Democratic party
  263. 9:18and and and people in the middle and and
  264. 9:20I think people just got to get over it
  265. 9:21and I tell people I don't think there's
  266. 9:23such thing as conservatives anymore I to
  267. 9:25get people I said there's no such thing
  268. 9:26as conservatives there's just
  269. 9:28traditional Liber that aren't crazy and
  270. 9:31I and that seems to to get through to
  271. 9:33people and um and and I think that it's
  272. 9:36people are are coming back over to
  273. 9:38saying look this is somebody we want to
  274. 9:41fix the problem just like you have a
  275. 9:42plumbing problem and there's everywhere
  276. 9:45well then you know you need to get
  277. 9:47somebody you don't to have him staying
  278. 9:48for dinner and I said you know Donald
  279. 9:50Trump's not going to come to your bar
  280. 9:51mitzvah your son's Bar Mitzvah he
  281. 9:53certainly not going to come for
  282. 9:54Thanksgiving you don't have to invite
  283. 9:55him but he's going to clean up he's
  284. 9:57going to do that and you want him to do
  285. 9:59that's 100% right I mean that's exactly
  286. 10:01what I said I I did a debate with Sam
  287. 10:02Harris and that's exactly the analogy I
  288. 10:04Ed I like when I elect a politician I'm
  289. 10:06not electing a moral Exemplar I have
  290. 10:08plenty of people in my life who I Look
  291. 10:09to when I'm when I'm looking for you
  292. 10:11know moral ways to live if I'm looking
  293. 10:13for a piece of Life advice I'm not going
  294. 10:15to go to president Trump when when I
  295. 10:17when I when I want somebody to threaten
  296. 10:19Iran to back down then I go to president
  297. 10:22Trump when I want somebody who's going
  298. 10:23to make sure that the gas prices aren't
  299. 10:24too high by drilling more I go to
  300. 10:26president Trump when you as you say when
  301. 10:28you call a this whole bizarre notion
  302. 10:30that we're supposed to look at the
  303. 10:31president of the United States as though
  304. 10:33he's a great Angelic leader who descends
  305. 10:36from on high with a halo around his head
  306. 10:39we tried that with Barack Obama and it
  307. 10:40was terrible because he tried to embody
  308. 10:42all those qualities and it turns out
  309. 10:44that he was just as venal and corrupt
  310. 10:45and terrible as anybody in the history
  311. 10:47of American politics but you couldn't
  312. 10:48criticize him because he had the angel
  313. 10:50wings on and so Donald Trump just took
  314. 10:51all that stuff off he's like listen
  315. 10:52there ain't going to be no Halo ain't
  316. 10:54going to be no angel wings I'm here's my
  317. 10:56here's my tool set there's the toilet
  318. 10:58let let me add it I think that that
  319. 10:59that's actually like a pretty good way
  320. 11:00of doing government I think so too and
  321. 11:02it also it's a it's a way to communicate
  322. 11:04with people who seem to have a real
  323. 11:05problem with um with with the character
  324. 11:08over substance and with the person over
  325. 11:10policy and I think Americans are going
  326. 11:12to have to get over that and I think
  327. 11:13they were forced to get over it this
  328. 11:14time I mean I tell this to people I say
  329. 11:16we have people who who snuck in you know
  330. 11:19over the Border a couple of months ago
  331. 11:20they didn't want more people coming in
  332. 11:22they like hey I don't want somebody
  333. 11:23tried to take the job I just took I just
  334. 11:25took it an hour ago I need it come on
  335. 11:27man give me at least a couple of weeks
  336. 11:29so they lost the they lost the Mexican
  337. 11:32vote you know the Democrats I mean can
  338. 11:36you imagine how how fast they would have
  339. 11:37shut down the the Haitians from flying
  340. 11:38into Ohio if they knew they were going
  341. 11:40to vote for republicans and they would
  342. 11:43have said no more you know so um and it
  343. 11:46it just became it did become a great
  344. 11:49comedy it just became a comedy that was
  345. 11:50too close for most Americans to laugh at
  346. 11:53the fact that they were discussing
  347. 11:55eating cats in Ohio and the fact that
  348. 11:58that somehow Democrats were so offended
  349. 12:00by the the idea that these immigrants
  350. 12:03were being accused of eating pets well I
  351. 12:06was there in 1979 in San Francisco when
  352. 12:08the Vietnamese people came over and they
  353. 12:11saw they were eating the ducks in Golden
  354. 12:13Gate Park because nobody told them and
  355. 12:16that's what they eat they said they go
  356. 12:17fishing they also get Ducks if they see
  357. 12:19a duck that's a potential food and it
  358. 12:22just it's it had to be an education
  359. 12:24process they weren't doing it to like
  360. 12:26out of out of spite they're doing this
  361. 12:29out of lunch out of a necessity to have
  362. 12:31lunch they've got the sauce they they've
  363. 12:34got the rice Patty they're ready to go
  364. 12:36they've got the the thin noodles and um
  365. 12:39so I I I found it to be hilarious that
  366. 12:41people got so upset that they were
  367. 12:43accusing these Haitians whose part of
  368. 12:45their practice and their religion is
  369. 12:47animal sacrifice that they would be
  370. 12:49accused of this horrible thing also I
  371. 12:51mean like listen Donald Trump like his
  372. 12:52inflection is hilarious okay my my kids
  373. 12:55walk around the house going they're
  374. 12:56eating the dogs they're eating the cats
  375. 12:58I had my four old yesterday she has a
  376. 13:00shirt that says on it they're eating the
  377. 13:01dogs like it's just like it's It's
  378. 13:03innately the funniest thing like this
  379. 13:05whole race like from from just a comedic
  380. 13:07perspective this race is hysterical I
  381. 13:10said this right after the first Trump
  382. 13:11Biden debate I was talking to actually a
  383. 13:12foreign leader and the foreign leader
  384. 13:14was kind of freaking out I said you need
  385. 13:15to understand something about America
  386. 13:16here's how amazing America is in our
  387. 13:18institutions we will run two 80-year-old
  388. 13:20men against one another one of them will
  389. 13:21be totally scile whichever one of those
  390. 13:23two men golf's better we will make
  391. 13:25president of the United States he will
  392. 13:26be introduced at the rnz by Hulk who
  393. 13:29will tear open his shirt to reveal that
  394. 13:32he's supporting Donald Trump and then
  395. 13:34that presidential candidate will get up
  396. 13:35on stage and ramble for 93 straight
  397. 13:38minutes and you will love it because
  398. 13:39this is America you know what you're
  399. 13:41just going to have to eat it because
  400. 13:42this is America like everyone takes
  401. 13:44these elections as a sign that American
  402. 13:46weakness oh America and disrepair like
  403. 13:48you know how powerful we are you know
  404. 13:49how amazing our institutions are that
  405. 13:51that's what we could just do for like an
  406. 13:52entire election cycle and then at the
  407. 13:54end of it we're still the most powerful
  408. 13:55country on Earth and we got the most
  409. 13:56powerful military and don't screw with
  410. 13:58us but I will tell you though as I agree
  411. 14:00with you we become a worldwide wrestling
  412. 14:02uh you know Enterprise of entertainment
  413. 14:05at the same time we really were been and
  414. 14:07you would agree with this I would hope
  415. 14:09teetering on the abyss with this these
  416. 14:12you know Elites and um it's it's a
  417. 14:15strange aristocracy that seems to be
  418. 14:16taken over American society which
  419. 14:18instead of um you know a lord or Duke it
  420. 14:21was PhD and Elite and expert and these
  421. 14:24people who were telling us um basically
  422. 14:26who who we have to vote for who we need
  423. 14:29to vote for and and we really were you
  424. 14:31know once once you dig underneath and
  425. 14:33see some of the bad things that the the
  426. 14:35Biden Harris regime was doing was um I
  427. 14:39mean censorship and silencing Americans
  428. 14:42and their first amendment rights I mean
  429. 14:44that was pretty I mean I don't think
  430. 14:45that that's that's something to be taken
  431. 14:47lightly I think they really were in
  432. 14:49danger of moving us towards um to a
  433. 14:52truthfully a a one- party system like
  434. 14:55they have in California and I tell this
  435. 14:57to people I say we're America we're free
  436. 14:59in America we're not China China they
  437. 15:01tell you who to vote for they get one
  438. 15:02party in China not in America we get two
  439. 15:05can we at least have two and what the
  440. 15:07Democrats were really trying to do for
  441. 15:08the last four years I mean actually for
  442. 15:10the last I think 20 years was to have a
  443. 15:13forever Democrat Party and they said you
  444. 15:14can have free elections you can elect
  445. 15:16whoever whichever Democrat you want this
  446. 15:18one or this one and we'll have the and
  447. 15:20the Republicans of course the Cowardly
  448. 15:22uh Congress you know they're happy
  449. 15:24because 93% they they get elected they
  450. 15:27get reelected and so they they would
  451. 15:29like to lose gracefully and honorably
  452. 15:30and shake their finger at the but never
  453. 15:32have to actually do anything and so I
  454. 15:35think that this was important because I
  455. 15:36think we we're teetering on making
  456. 15:38America like California and and you
  457. 15:41don't want I totally agree I think we're
  458. 15:42both California exp Patriots right I
  459. 15:44spent my own entire life in California
  460. 15:46until the last four years we moved in
  461. 15:48the middle of Co and black lives matter
  462. 15:50riots and wildfires and and the rest of
  463. 15:51the biblical plagues we moved from there
  464. 15:53to the great free state of Florida
  465. 15:55you're in Arizona as I understand it
  466. 15:57which is a state that is increasingly
  467. 15:58turning red Donald Trump has turned it
  468. 16:00back from it was red it went kind of
  469. 16:02purpley blue and now it's turning back
  470. 16:04red again and some of that is Donald
  471. 16:06Trump and some of that is when you let
  472. 16:07in 10 million illegal immigrants across
  473. 16:08borders including Arizona's border that
  474. 16:10has some pretty dire effects on the
  475. 16:11State of Arizona you know what was it
  476. 16:13that caused you to leave California well
  477. 16:15I mean I knew that there was a a pincher
  478. 16:17move happening and and I as soon as
  479. 16:19Obama in
  480. 16:212013 propagandized or allowed the
  481. 16:24governmental agencies uh to to have
  482. 16:27propaganda in America against Americans
  483. 16:30in
  484. 16:312013 that was um the beginning of I felt
  485. 16:35tyranny coming from the left and I and I
  486. 16:38I always just assumed because of your
  487. 16:40I'm kind of brainwashed like everybody
  488. 16:41else in California you just assume it's
  489. 16:43the the left's always good and that the
  490. 16:45right is the problem and that if if
  491. 16:48problems do come if you know if there's
  492. 16:51uh fascism coming whatever that is
  493. 16:54depending on what the definition of the
  494. 16:55day is then it's going to come from the
  495. 16:57right and didn't because what happened
  496. 16:59was if you grew up in the late 70s and
  497. 17:01and if it was if the consequential um
  498. 17:04Power of the Democrats it would it was a
  499. 17:07mess under Jimmy Carter it just was and
  500. 17:09the thing is it there seemed to be an
  501. 17:11appeal that the Democrats had for the
  502. 17:14fellow man to help the average worker
  503. 17:16but what the truth is they will say they
  504. 17:19they'll be behind the average worker
  505. 17:21when they have no power but when they do
  506. 17:23have power they don't do anything Obama
  507. 17:25didn't do anything for the people and
  508. 17:27that's was such a real turnoff for a lot
  509. 17:29of people and people who thought there
  510. 17:30could be good you know good could come
  511. 17:32out of that Administration but it
  512. 17:34clearly didn't as far as you know uh
  513. 17:37taking the American public and the
  514. 17:39Goodwill that was given and instead of
  515. 17:42saying you know maybe we're less racist
  516. 17:43now uh because we elected a black
  517. 17:45president two times to exacerbate it and
  518. 17:47to um to further you know throw um
  519. 17:51gasoline on the flames and say you know
  520. 17:53this has never been just as Douglas
  521. 17:55Murray says just when race has never
  522. 17:58been better in America America they
  523. 17:59accuse it as never being worse so I
  524. 18:01think that was the time and then by the
  525. 18:03time Co came in I knew they're going to
  526. 18:04close Society down I knew that this was
  527. 18:06not the place to be I got young kids as
  528. 18:09well and uh I wanted to get them the
  529. 18:11hell out and I said you know because
  530. 18:12California is a dangerous place for um
  531. 18:14if you got little kids you know public
  532. 18:16school you know in the morning you take
  533. 18:17you know take in the morning you take
  534. 18:19your school and drop off a little girl
  535. 18:20in the afternoon you pick up a little
  536. 18:21boy you know so that's problem y I mean
  537. 18:24we were in California just a couple of
  538. 18:26weeks ago and right there on the street
  539. 18:28we we were we'd had dinner uh and with
  540. 18:30with a couple of friends who are still
  541. 18:32unfortunately trapped in California and
  542. 18:34we had dinner I have 247 security
  543. 18:36unfortunately I have to have that so I I
  544. 18:37went down the street one way with my
  545. 18:38wife my friends went down the street the
  546. 18:40other way they go about three cars down
  547. 18:42they're getting into their Tesla another
  548. 18:43car pulls up right in front of them
  549. 18:45three guys jump out grab my friend pull
  550. 18:46him out of his car steal his phone steal
  551. 18:48his wallet steal his keys run around to
  552. 18:49his wife start traping her jewelry off
  553. 18:51of her and uh and then she screamed and
  554. 18:54they realized their time had run and
  555. 18:55they they they ran away I mean it's just
  556. 18:56like open air robberies in California
  557. 18:58now the quality of life has declined so
  558. 19:00markedly from I thought you going to say
  559. 19:01and that was in a I thought you were G
  560. 19:03to say and that was in a gated exactly
  561. 19:05it was on Third Street was on Third
  562. 19:06Street and lasena right I mean we're not
  563. 19:08talking about like the worst areas of La
  564. 19:10here we're not talking about like you're
  565. 19:11in the the heart of East LA or in South
  566. 19:13Central which has now been retitled
  567. 19:14South La so that means it's okay now
  568. 19:16it's not like you're in kensaw or
  569. 19:17something like high crime areas of the
  570. 19:18city you're talking about like a fairly
  571. 19:20decent area of of of LA and and it's
  572. 19:23just been it's been totally trashed it's
  573. 19:25amazing what they've done to the state
  574. 19:26of California and that that caused me to
  575. 19:28go on the air the next day and say
  576. 19:29listen you know you think out there you
  577. 19:31in political land you think that Donald
  578. 19:33Trump he says offensive things and he
  579. 19:34says mean things and you don't like his
  580. 19:36tweets let say the the normal American
  581. 19:37you know what we care about we care
  582. 19:38about not getting robbed on the street
  583. 19:40we care about our gas prices going down
  584. 19:41we care about you know inflation not
  585. 19:43eating up our entire checkbook we care
  586. 19:45about mortgages going like we care about
  587. 19:47no Wars on like basic practical things
  588. 19:49are the things we care about and the
  589. 19:50worst you make it and then insist that
  590. 19:52actually we're stupid for for not
  591. 19:54understanding what you're doing the more
  592. 19:55we want to vote for the the other guy
  593. 19:57and the crazier he is kind of the more
  594. 19:58want vote for him a little
  595. 19:59bit I know when I hear when I heard
  596. 20:02Bruce Springsteen at a diner trying to
  597. 20:05be like an average guy looking like an
  598. 20:07average guy you know that knowing that
  599. 20:10he' sold his catalog for $800 million
  600. 20:12like 36 months ago you're not an average
  601. 20:15guy you are protected you know Oprah you
  602. 20:18live in a you you know not not only a
  603. 20:20gated community you live in the inside
  604. 20:22of the Gated gated community you know
  605. 20:24like in the old days that Jack Nicholson
  606. 20:26there' be at a party and then there's a
  607. 20:27VIP section then there's a P VIP and
  608. 20:29then there's one room the one guy in it
  609. 20:30is Jack Nicholson well this is the same
  610. 20:32with Oprah Oprah has her own spot and
  611. 20:34then like like because I lived up in
  612. 20:36Calabasas and we were in a gated
  613. 20:38community but then there was another
  614. 20:39part that was like Kim Kardashian she
  615. 20:41was in there that's another you couldn't
  616. 20:42get in there you know for you couldn't
  617. 20:44take your kids wouldn't allowed to do um
  618. 20:46you know trick-or-treating in Halloween
  619. 20:47over there at Kim Kardashians but the
  620. 20:49you know so um I I think that there was
  621. 20:53a just I hope that that the people who
  622. 20:56were trying to shame the celebrities
  623. 20:57trying to shame people people and scare
  624. 20:59people and say it's the end of democracy
  625. 21:02you may never get to vote again it was
  626. 21:03just so stupid and and it doesn't they
  627. 21:06they don't know what it's like I mean
  628. 21:07like when Jimmy Kimmel's crying about
  629. 21:08like you de you Trump support you guys
  630. 21:11voted you made a mistake too which is
  631. 21:14pathetic what a what a wuss he's turned
  632. 21:16into but the fact of the matter is we
  633. 21:18get two choices and we're going to
  634. 21:19choose somebody to dat and and I said
  635. 21:21this I said if avocados go up to you
  636. 21:23know if the food prices go up 26% it's
  637. 21:25not going to bother Jimmy Kimmel and his
  638. 21:27family or opa's family but the average
  639. 21:29person driving their kid to to school
  640. 21:31and then having to drive to work and
  641. 21:32then get groceries and having to think I
  642. 21:34don't know if I can do both this week
  643. 21:37and that's a real issue because and I
  644. 21:38said this if if avocado prices go up to
  645. 21:41$5,000 on Avocado you know I mean Oprah
  646. 21:44and Jimmy Kim just going to have $5,000
  647. 21:45guacamole yep that's exactly right get
  648. 21:49some more on that in a moment first
  649. 21:50let's talk about something that affects
  650. 21:51all of us responsible hardworking

  683. 22:50advantage of you get the help you need
  684. 22:52with tax Network USA I want to ask you
  685. 22:54about sort of the impact that you think
  686. 22:56Hollywood has had on all of this because
  687. 22:57one of the things that think about the
  688. 22:58Trump phenomenon is that there's a lot
  689. 23:00of talk about the economic Outreach that
  690. 23:02Trump has done to Blue Collar
  691. 23:03communities and and kind of working
  692. 23:05people but you know when I go and I
  693. 23:07speak in these communities and I spent a
  694. 23:09lot of time on the road this election
  695. 23:10cycle going in talking everywhere from
  696. 23:11the southern border campaigning with
  697. 23:13with Senator Cruz to now Senator Senator
  698. 23:15Moreno up in Ohio all the way up to the
  699. 23:17the tip toop of Ohio you know and and
  700. 23:19the thing that that you see when when
  701. 23:21you do this is that it's it's really not
  702. 23:23about government subsidies it really
  703. 23:24isn't about you know a hatred of trade
  704. 23:26per what it really is is they're sick
  705. 23:28being told that their church is bad
  706. 23:30they're sick of being told that their
  707. 23:31culture is bad and so to me it seems
  708. 23:34like a lot of this is rebellion against
  709. 23:36the moral values that they see mostly
  710. 23:38coming from Hollywood a Hollywood that
  711. 23:40insists that the the morality of you
  712. 23:43know Moonlight is the morality that we
  713. 23:45all must that we all must you know love
  714. 23:47like the the the thing that we really
  715. 23:49need is a is a shape of water lecture
  716. 23:52about how capitalism is bad and about
  717. 23:54how about how traditional Church going
  718. 23:56is bad and I I think people just
  719. 23:58rebelled against that they said okay all
  720. 24:00you Schmucks are going to P did's white
  721. 24:01parties and then telling us that that
  722. 24:03we're bad for for having gone to church
  723. 24:05this Sunday like here's a giant middle
  724. 24:07finger it's really it's a giant orange
  725. 24:09middle finger just for you I feel like
  726. 24:11it's been the the the the the thing
  727. 24:12since about 2015 2016 well you have um a
  728. 24:16group of people and it it isn't um any
  729. 24:19coincidence that every every place that
  730. 24:21um the Democrats and Kamala Harris won
  731. 24:24had no voter ID I mean there there's no
  732. 24:27coincidence that that happened you have
  733. 24:29people that are getting tired of being
  734. 24:31told that they're racist when they're
  735. 24:32not racist you're getting tired of
  736. 24:34telling people that they that they are
  737. 24:36are are in a whether they know it or not
  738. 24:39they're in a system of white supremacy
  739. 24:41and just it just doesn't fly anymore you
  740. 24:43can't make people you can't tell them
  741. 24:45the're racist when they know they're not
  742. 24:47then you can't make them feel bad about
  743. 24:49that or or make them feel like and then
  744. 24:50Force things upon them and and this is
  745. 24:52something that we're still still kind of
  746. 24:55getting my hands on is this this kind of
  747. 24:57um lecturing when you know Oprah
  748. 25:01crapping on the on the average worker
  749. 25:03the average family who is struggling
  750. 25:05because they're not voting the way she
  751. 25:06wants this is the same system that
  752. 25:08allowed her to become a billionaire and
  753. 25:10unlike other countries like in England
  754. 25:11they don't root for people to become
  755. 25:13billionaires here we do if you become a
  756. 25:16billionaire you know we're going to
  757. 25:17applaud you you go girl because we know
  758. 25:19that this is a system that allows that
  759. 25:21potentiality and so for you to crap on
  760. 25:23it and to crap on people who are just
  761. 25:25trying to get by and just going month to
  762. 25:27month and paycheck to paycheck and
  763. 25:28that's getting harder and harder and you
  764. 25:30seem to think that there's other things
  765. 25:31more important than that and by
  766. 25:33exaggerating a situation which isn't
  767. 25:35true that that that Donald Trump is
  768. 25:37going to turn this into a dictatorship
  769. 25:39and in a fascist State uh I I think you
  770. 25:42the belittling was was just vomitous at
  771. 25:45a certain point um I think that if you
  772. 25:49look at where the Democrats have come
  773. 25:51and what they've tried to do and you
  774. 25:53just have to look at California as as
  775. 25:55the what they would like for the rest of
  776. 25:57the country there's not one aspect of
  777. 25:59our life that they don't want to
  778. 26:00interfere with not one in schools they
  779. 26:03passed you know Gavin Nome who um I just
  780. 26:07don't understand how people think that
  781. 26:11they that that the state of California
  782. 26:12thinks I'm going to co-parent with the
  783. 26:14state of California it's like no you're
  784. 26:16out you don't have nothing to do with it
  785. 26:18the fact that the teachers that they
  786. 26:19passed a law legislation that the school
  787. 26:21and the teachers could keep information
  788. 26:24away from the parents that to me was is
  789. 26:27Bor underline criminal I mean so and
  790. 26:31then you know they also had legislation
  791. 26:32didn't pass but was brought up in
  792. 26:34Committee in California to stop your car
  793. 26:37from that to to not have cars allowed in
  794. 26:39California to go more than 80 miles an
  795. 26:41hour and I don't know like Hey listen I
  796. 26:43don't want to drive 80 miles an hour in
  797. 26:44a school zone but if I'm trying to get
  798. 26:45to San Francisco uh from Los Angeles and
  799. 26:48it's three o'clock in the morning I'm
  800. 26:49gonna go 100 and if I get a ticket I'm
  801. 26:51sorry but um that's just it that's my
  802. 26:54choice maybe it's a bad choice but it's
  803. 26:56up to me and the government they just
  804. 26:58keep growing they also want to change
  805. 27:00your stoves tell you what kind of stove
  806. 27:02tell you what kind of car to drive at
  807. 27:04what point is said lay off of me we
  808. 27:06don't want a we don't want government to
  809. 27:08be that big and I think that they they
  810. 27:10finally the voters said enough with this
  811. 27:12enough with you calling me names enough
  812. 27:14with boys in you know failed
  813. 27:16narcissistic male athletes in girl
  814. 27:18Sports taking refuge in girl Sports
  815. 27:20enough of that so I think Americans
  816. 27:22rejected this soundly and I think what
  817. 27:25you're going to have if you take a look
  818. 27:26at history and I think you you might
  819. 27:27agree with this I definitely think you
  820. 27:29would hope for this the last time we had
  821. 27:31three one-term presidents if you go you
  822. 27:34know Ford well Nixon Ford Carter and
  823. 27:38then the last time we had that now we
  824. 27:40have you know
  825. 27:42Trump um you know Biden and then another
  826. 27:45Trump and he's that's why I think it's
  827. 27:47wonderful that he's not going to seek
  828. 27:48reelection or because he's gonna now
  829. 27:51have better people around him and put in
  830. 27:52policies where for his legacy I think
  831. 27:55you might get lucky here and we can have
  832. 27:56a trump Vance Vance and then you'd have
  833. 28:00a Democratic party that'll be able to
  834. 28:02come back to lose their extremists and
  835. 28:05realize if they want to be a a party
  836. 28:07that's going to get elected at the
  837. 28:09highest level they're going to have to
  838. 28:10come back from this crazy lunacy and uh
  839. 28:13and and do like what the you know with
  840. 28:14the Clinton Administration which was we
  841. 28:16are pro death penalty we're C super
  842. 28:20depends on what the definition of the
  843. 28:22word is is We on we were in the middle
  844. 28:24of the road you got to vote for us uh
  845. 28:27and I I'm hopeful that that's what's
  846. 28:28going to happen and that's what we need
  847. 28:30to happen stabilize America keep out the
  848. 28:32crazies and the Democrats come back to a
  849. 28:34place of normaly so you know I wanted to
  850. 28:36ask you about you know how things have
  851. 28:38gone for you in Hollywood since you
  852. 28:39become more overtly political so back in
  853. 28:412014 I wrote a book called Prime Time
  854. 28:43propaganda where I actually went and I
  855. 28:44spoke with the creators of pretty much
  856. 28:45every major television show over the
  857. 28:47last 50 years and some of it was pretty
  858. 28:49shocking because when I went and did
  859. 28:51these interviews uh I I asked them if I
  860. 28:53I wanted to write a book about the
  861. 28:54legacy of TV they didn't know who I was
  862. 28:56at the time I was not nearly as as well
  863. 28:57known as I am now I wore my Harvard Law
  864. 28:59baseball cap and my last name was
  865. 29:00Shapiro so they immediately assumed that
  866. 29:02I was basically a communist which in 90%
  867. 29:04of cases is actually true and and so I
  868. 29:07would I will tell you they took you too
  869. 29:10lightly and that's why you decimated
  870. 29:12them because they they didn't think that
  871. 29:15that um well first of all they're lazy
  872. 29:17in Hollywood they're all lazy and
  873. 29:19they're just intellectually lazy because
  874. 29:20nobody challenges them because that's
  875. 29:22the one of the reasons why Cala lost is
  876. 29:24that Cala never ran for federal office
  877. 29:26she just always was in California she
  878. 29:28was in that bubble so she was never
  879. 29:29challenged that's why they were so
  880. 29:31desperate to keep her from being
  881. 29:32challenged by anybody because she didn't
  882. 29:34have the goods so when you went there to
  883. 29:36California you had the goods you were
  884. 29:38prepared and you tore them apart and
  885. 29:40they just they're intellectually lazy in
  886. 29:42californ and as you saw thing is that
  887. 29:44they they weren't able to back in that
  888. 29:45particular case they didn't even so I
  889. 29:47recorded all these interviews and many
  890. 29:48of them in the interviews would openly
  891. 29:50say things like I won't hire a
  892. 29:51conservative if I find out that somebody
  893. 29:53is conservative in Hollywood I'll fire
  894. 29:54them I remember this created like a
  895. 29:55major Scandal actually at the Director's
  896. 29:57Guild because because one of the
  897. 29:58directors said this and and our friend
  898. 30:00lonel chln he he came out really firing
  899. 30:03over it and it was like it was a big
  900. 30:05deal at the time um you know there's
  901. 30:07always been this sort of you major issue
  902. 30:09inside of Hollywood can conservatives
  903. 30:11work can conservatives not work
  904. 30:12obviously I know people on both sides of
  905. 30:13that particular argument but you know
  906. 30:15they it certaintly makes it harder let's
  907. 30:17put it that way I mean people who have
  908. 30:18worked consistently you've worked
  909. 30:20consistently Patty Heaton's worked
  910. 30:21consistently but you know when i' I've
  911. 30:23talked to Patty about this I mean Patty
  912. 30:24said at one point she was working on a
  913. 30:26major Network show at the time she said
  914. 30:27listen I don't feel like I'm getting a
  915. 30:28lot of you know push back on my politics
  916. 30:30and then after I talked to her she
  917. 30:32called back maybe a few days later and
  918. 30:34she said I I called around I found out
  919. 30:35that over the years I've lost five
  920. 30:36specific jobs thanks to my politics so
  921. 30:39what do you make of the sort of
  922. 30:40anti-conservative
  923. 30:42discrimination Ben I'm out I'm don't get
  924. 30:44hired in Hollywood but there's some
  925. 30:46things more important than getting hired
  926. 30:47in Hollywood and that is uh I felt that
  927. 30:50we were close to having our our rights
  928. 30:54taken away and I was close I me when you
  929. 30:55have a when you have not just the
  930. 30:57president presidential candidate who
  931. 30:59maybe she doesn't know but you know I
  932. 31:01find it difficult for her to believe
  933. 31:02that she wouldn't know what our first
  934. 31:04amendment that is a guaranteed right and
  935. 31:06then you know Tim Walls paper who's
  936. 31:08ended up being such a gift to the
  937. 31:10Republican party that she chose him and
  938. 31:12not Shapiro um that that they would say
  939. 31:15that they would equate uh freedom of
  940. 31:17speech like a driver's license and they
  941. 31:19called it a privilege and that those
  942. 31:21priv a privilege can be revoked if you
  943. 31:23drink and drive you can um have your
  944. 31:26driver's license rightly taken away
  945. 31:28however if you drink and talk you cannot
  946. 31:31have your speech taken away because that
  947. 31:33is a guaranteed First Amendment right so
  948. 31:34it was that was part of the encroachment
  949. 31:36that was happening and I think that was
  950. 31:38down the line and I think when they were
  951. 31:40able to really work with um work with
  952. 31:44tech companies including Google we don't
  953. 31:46even know what they're doing with Google
  954. 31:47and cia's back door and how that is
  955. 31:49working but when you actually saw the
  956. 31:51Twitter files and thank God for Elon
  957. 31:53Musk but you know that that that the
  958. 31:55Biden Harris Administration was working
  959. 31:57through these companies I mean literally
  960. 31:59within 48 hours to uh silence Americans
  961. 32:03and they W they weren't going to stop
  962. 32:04that they would have I believe
  963. 32:06completely gone after Elon Musk and
  964. 32:08destroyed Twitter destroyed his business
  965. 32:10because that's what they do it's just
  966. 32:12government will keep growing until you
  967. 32:13beat it down with a stick and uh I think
  968. 32:16this was the beating that they needed I
  969. 32:18mean there's a very famous actor I won't
  970. 32:20say his name but he was a lead on Apple
  971. 32:22TV on a big TV series just this just
  972. 32:25this year you can people can figure out
  973. 32:27who it is if they want to
  974. 32:28he was told that he was not allowed to
  975. 32:30say anything on social media or they
  976. 32:32weren't going to hire him he was told
  977. 32:34that now that has to stop that is
  978. 32:37illegal and that is a lawsuit that is a
  979. 32:40billion dooll lawsuit that should happen
  980. 32:42but at the same time you want to get
  981. 32:43work you know every actor's out there
  982. 32:45trying to get work but here's what's
  983. 32:46happening you're having a shrinking of
  984. 32:48the traditional Studio system right now
  985. 32:50because they they've screwed it up they
  986. 32:53screwed up Hollywood Not only was during
  987. 32:55the pandemic but then the stupid idiots
  988. 32:58at the Screen Actors Guild Union and I
  989. 33:00was one of those idiots on the union but
  990. 33:02that going for a strike after the
  991. 33:04pandemic just to destroy the average
  992. 33:07person on the crew and the average actor
  993. 33:09it was beyond stupid and then Disney
  994. 33:12making this woke crap to the point where
  995. 33:14my wife and I we got little kids you
  996. 33:16know both were under 10 a couple years
  997. 33:18ago now we had to watch the Disney shows
  998. 33:22before we let the kids watch it just in
  999. 33:24case this woke crap that there isn't
1000. 33:26some character that that is you know
1001. 33:28indoctrinating our kids so they have
1002. 33:30lost they lost $2 billion dollar two
1003. 33:32years ago at the stream and then they
1004. 33:34had to fire a chap which was a good
1005. 33:36firing and then bring back Bob Iger so
1006. 33:39at a certain point are you going to do
1007. 33:40business or are you going to just
1008. 33:41continue to lose business and so you see
1009. 33:44you see the people who were able to look
1010. 33:45at the same stuff that you and I were if
1011. 33:47you're any have in whatever inside
1012. 33:49information it didn't have to be too
1013. 33:50inside but you saw that the Democrats
1014. 33:52were going to get spanked this time Jeff
1015. 33:54bezo saw it Mark Zuckerberg wanted to
1016. 33:55get out ahead of it as soon as he could
1017. 33:57and apologize for um for allowing his
1018. 34:01his site to be censored by the
1019. 34:03government and Jeff Bezos not supporting
1020. 34:06Kamala harros and giving her endorsement
1021. 34:08that's a big I mean so there is some
1022. 34:09correction happening and at this point
1023. 34:12the podcast is something and and
1024. 34:14independent people like you the daily
1025. 34:16wire the reason why you guys were able
  1026. 34:18to become a big business successful
  1027. 34:20business because you were you weren't
1028. 34:22trying to tell people how to think you
1029. 34:23were just providing another Viewpoint
1030. 34:26that was rational that was logical and
1031. 34:28that was more aligned with their
  1032. 34:30families that's going to continue to
1033. 34:31grow and if they want to be in business
1034. 34:33they're going to have to come over to
1035. 34:34our side of the fence it's more on this
1036. 34:36in a moment first let me ask you a
1037. 34:37question do you trust your internet
1038. 34:38service provider well you probably
1039. 34:40shouldn't because depending on where you
1040. 34:41live isps may be required to keep logs
1041. 34:44of your online activity just in case the
1042. 34:45government would love to take a peek in
1043. 34:47the US it's even worse isps can legally
1044. 34:49sell your browsing history to whomever
1045. 34:51they want so what can you do about it
1046. 34:52well the obvious solution is to get a
1047. 34:53VPN the one I use is expressvpn it's an
1048. 34:56app that re Roots my online traffic
  1049. 34:58through encrypted servers so myp can't
1050. 35:00get their hands on it neither can data
1051. 35:01Brokers or any other third parties for
1052. 35:03this to work of course you actually have
1053. 35:04to trust your VPN after all you're just
1054. 35:06transferring trust from your ISP to your
1055. 35:07VPN provider so why do I trust
1056. 35:09expressvpn well any reliable VPN gets a
1057. 35:12certain number of data requests from law
  1058. 35:13enforcement and other government
  1059. 35:14entities expressvpn received over 300 of
1060. 35:17those requests in the past year alone
1061. 35:18zero of them resulted in any of their
1062. 35:20customers data being exposed zero go
1063. 35:23read their transparency report on their
  1064. 35:24website it's fascinating to be clear
1065. 35:27it's not that don't comply with law
1066. 35:28enforcement requests they comply as much
1067. 35:30as they possibly can but you can't hand
1068. 35:31over what you don't actually have an
  1069. 35:33expressvpn simply doesn't have any of
1070. 35:35their customers activity logs thanks to
  1071. 35:36a specially engineered server
1072. 35:38architecture that runs on volatile
1073. 35:39memory nothing is ever saved to disk
1074. 35:41it's private by Design expressvpn works
1075. 35:43on all your devices it's easy to use you
  1076. 35:45tap one button you're connected right
1077. 35:46now you can take advantage of
1078. 35:47expressvpn's Black Friday Cyber Monday
1079. 35:49offer and get the absolute best VPN deal
1080. 35:51you will find all year long use my
  1081. 35:53special link expressvpn.com to get four
1082. 35:56extra months with the 12mon plan or six
  1083. 35:58extra months with the 24-month plan
  1084. 35:59totally free that's expressvpn.com Ben
1085. 36:02to get an extra four or even six months
1086. 36:03of expressvpn for free do you think it's
1087. 36:06going to be easier for people who maybe
1088. 36:08middle of the road or leaning
1089. 36:09conservative to actually start coming
1090. 36:11out of the woodwork uh in Hollywood I
  1091. 36:12mean you and I know a bunch of people I
1092. 36:14mean I know a lot of people in Hollywood
1093. 36:15who definitely voted for Donald Trump
1094. 36:17definitely would not say openly that
1095. 36:18they voted for Donald Trump for exactly
  1096. 36:19the reasons you say that they'll they'll
1097. 36:21lose work these are working actors who
1098. 36:23and many of them very very famous and
1099. 36:25and are still terrified that if they
1100. 36:27ever betray their politics uh to to the
1101. 36:30to the people around them that that
1102. 36:31somehow this will have massive career
  1103. 36:32ramifications do you think that's going
1104. 36:34to get easier or do you think that the
1105. 36:35system just continues to break because
1106. 36:36the people at the top can't let
  1107. 36:38go I think it's going to take another
  1108. 36:40generation it's just like when Moses
1109. 36:42took the to took the tribe out to the
1110. 36:45desert said we're gonna have to have
1111. 36:47you're gonna just have to get that slave
  1112. 36:48mentality out of you I think it's the
1113. 36:51same thing with this with the with the
  1114. 36:52Liberals and the Democrats they're going
1115. 36:53to have to get that constrictive I mean
  1116. 36:56it's it's really what it is it's
1117. 36:58vindictiveness the left is absolutely
1118. 37:01crazy vindictive it is an ugliness and
1119. 37:03we've all experienced it and we've seen
1120. 37:05it they they would just they'll start
1121. 37:07yelling at you and it is as you know
1122. 37:09more than probably any American the
1123. 37:12worst form of debate is just somebody
1124. 37:13shouting you down they're not trying to
1125. 37:15beat you with ideas they're not trying
1126. 37:17to dissuade you with with something that
1127. 37:19could improve your foundational thinking
1128. 37:21they are not critical thinkers they just
1129. 37:23are simply yellers and we as a society
1130. 37:26cannot go down the road any further with
1131. 37:28trying to you know stop our liberties
1132. 37:30and our free speech to calm down the
  1133. 37:33irrational and that's what the that's
1134. 37:34what they become will it get easier yes
1135. 37:37I mean but it's going to take people
  1136. 37:38like I'm starting a media company and I
1137. 37:41can't believe how many people are
1138. 37:42joining in and are making this a real
  1139. 37:45Media Company because I want to be a
  1140. 37:46Centrist if you're a liberal if you're a
1141. 37:49you know conservative you are welcome
1142. 37:51and we are not going to do anything by
1143. 37:53the party line we're going to do stuff
  1144. 37:54that's rational that's that's
  1145. 37:56talent-based
1146. 37:57but it's also American based and you
1147. 38:00know that was such a pleasure to to do
1148. 38:02your your first series of your show of
1149. 38:05your first animated show because it was
  1150. 38:07about America and it wasn't you weren't
1151. 38:09indoctrinating people but the fact that
1152. 38:11you're saying good things about America
1153. 38:13to liberals and to the Democratic party
1154. 38:15it was if you were saying something
1155. 38:17heretical to say something great about
1156. 38:19the country and our accomplishments so
1157. 38:22the attack on Western Civilization which
1158. 38:23I think is a bigger issue which is the
1159. 38:25Democrats make that gig gantic mistake
1160. 38:28of wanting this one world government
1161. 38:31this Elite this elitist system where
1162. 38:34they have control but they make the
1163. 38:36mistake of thinking it's going to be the
  1164. 38:38American Democratic party that's going
1165. 38:39to be in control of this one world order
1166. 38:41and it's going to be China and that is a
1167. 38:43gigantic error on their part and
  1168. 38:45thankfully I think this was a gigantic
1169. 38:49um you know it was a big fence to stop
1170. 38:53the further erosion of the American way
1171. 38:55of life and and having Marxism come in
1172. 38:58disguised as this woke set of nice
  1173. 39:00manners when it's just communism dressed
1174. 39:03up uh as social justice and so obviously
1175. 39:06you've been doing comedy for decades at
1176. 39:08this point has there ever been such a
1177. 39:10fraught time in comedy I mean you see
1178. 39:11people like Dave Chappelle getting
1179. 39:12shouted down or you see you know Tony
1180. 39:14hinchcliff being made the centerpiece of
1181. 39:16the entire presidential campaign for the
1182. 39:17last week because he makes a bunch of
1183. 39:19Tony Hinchcliffe jokes at the at at
1184. 39:22Madison Square Garden and listen you can
1185. 39:24you can make the case I've made the case
1186. 39:25myself that you know maybe in the
  1187. 39:27closing days of a campaign you don't
1188. 39:28want to trot out an insult comedian to
1189. 39:30to go after particular ethnic groups you
1190. 39:31know like at the very last moment of the
1191. 39:33campaign might not be like you're chief
  1192. 39:35if you're like Chief political
  1193. 39:36consultant for the Trump campaign you're
1194. 39:37not like okay you know we got to make a
  1195. 39:38closing argument who could let's look
1196. 39:40around Tony Hinchcliffe come on down
  1197. 39:42like that it's it's a weird move but
1198. 39:45let's bring the guy that craps on
1199. 39:46everybody exactly but but the sort of
1200. 39:47outsized outrage where it's like oh my
1201. 39:49God Tony hinchliff who does like insult
  1202. 39:51comedy that's that's what he does I mean
1203. 39:53he roasts people that we're going to
1204. 39:54that oh my God he roasted more people
1205. 39:57I'm just I'm bewildered by the sort of
1206. 39:59argument that this is in and of itself a
1207. 40:01great horror well Tony made a mistake
1208. 40:03though in thinking that people knew
1209. 40:04about the past history and the garbage
1210. 40:07containers in Puerto Rico it's like you
1211. 40:11sometimes you could be too iner and but
1212. 40:13but Robert Kennedy called me said I
1213. 40:15don't why we should have had you come
  1214. 40:17out last night you know there's 300,000
1215. 40:19Puerto Rican votes out there um but I
  1216. 40:22don't think Tony I mean you don't want a
1217. 40:24comedian you don't want to do an own
1218. 40:25goal and that's what like Mark Cuban
1219. 40:27who's like this is not these are not
1220. 40:30people who need to be going out you need
1221. 40:31to have people who've been two three
  1222. 40:33presidential you Carville never makes a
1223. 40:36mistake on on a grand level I mean yes
1224. 40:39he's not on a show that you know that of
  1225. 40:42of other entrepreneurs that's very
1226. 40:44popular but Mark Cuban is is not
1227. 40:46qualified as as as someone that he's not
1228. 40:48disciplined enough to not make an own
1229. 40:50goal and that was it that was another
1230. 40:51one of the final own goals there was uh
  1231. 40:54saying that Trump doesn't surround
  1232. 40:56himself with intelligent women I mean
1233. 40:58that just goes right down the garbage
1234. 40:59and deplorable route so you um you know
1235. 41:04I think that uh I think people saw it
1236. 41:07really for what it was now um as far as
  1237. 41:10comedy I think it will correct but I
  1238. 41:12think it'll be a while I mean
  1239. 41:14historically you'd have to really go
1240. 41:15back to where comedy was silenced
1241. 41:18probably dur after the Kennedy
1242. 41:20assassination you had one of the most
1243. 41:21prominent comedians Mort Saul and I talk
1244. 41:23about this in my book uh you can do it
  1245. 41:26which is out now
1246. 41:28um we talk about comedy uh and and Mort
1247. 41:31Saul was after the warrant commission
1248. 41:34came out he questioned the rightly so
  1249. 41:36the warrant commission's um findings and
  1250. 41:40because of that uh that's that's where
1251. 41:42they you know it wasn't where the term
1252. 41:44conspiracy theorist originated but it
1253. 41:46was the first time that the CIA used it
1254. 41:48to as a road map to get to silence
1255. 41:51people who were going against the the
1256. 41:54then government narrative about the
1257. 41:55Warren report and people questioning the
1258. 41:57Kennedy assassination so that was a time
1259. 41:59where where comedy got silenced where do
  1260. 42:02I think it's going now I think I
1261. 42:04remember Steve Martin talking um years
1262. 42:08ago like literally 40 years ago about
1263. 42:10what happened um after Watergate and
1264. 42:12after Vietnam people just wanted to get
1265. 42:15silly and forget about everything and I
1266. 42:17think after this time after the pandemic
  1267. 42:20which was really I mean we don't we're
1268. 42:22not going to really know the
1269. 42:23ramifications what happened to the
1270. 42:25students who were locked down and you
  1271. 42:27know for the African-American reading
1272. 42:29skills that took decades to get up to
1273. 42:32where they were on par with with
1274. 42:34everyone else and for that to collapse
1275. 42:37was was very sad for educators my mom
  1276. 42:39was a school teacher for 30 years a
  1277. 42:40public school teacher it's we don't know
1278. 42:42what's going to happen with it but I do
1279. 42:44think that now there is a chance that
1280. 42:47we'll be able to um have some normaly in
1281. 42:50comedy and people are going to have to
  1282. 42:51attack the power I mean we're going to
1283. 42:53have to see what the Republic's going to
  1284. 42:54do and then I don't know if I have an
1285. 42:55act anymore because my whole act the
1286. 42:56last a couple of years was just making
1287. 42:59fun of the wonderful material that was
1288. 43:01provided by Joe Biden Camala Harris and
1289. 43:03the rest of the Democrats so let's get
1290. 43:05to you know some of the stuff that you
1291. 43:06talk about in your book you can do it or
1292. 43:08I can't do an impression of you you can
  1293. 43:10do it I can't it
1294. 43:13man but as you can do it speak your mind
1295. 43:15America which just came out recently you
1296. 43:17know so you sort of give over how how
1297. 43:19you got into this industry in the first
1298. 43:21place so how how do how does one go
1299. 43:23about becoming one of the most famous
1300. 43:25comedic actors of his generation well
  1301. 43:27thank you um I just think that there's
1302. 43:30you I was very lucky because I was in
1303. 43:31San Francisco and they had we had a guy
1304. 43:33there Robin Williams who was so talented
1305. 43:35and I mean such a he was literally like
1306. 43:39uh um this bright shining you couldn't
1307. 43:42deny that Talent you know because we
1308. 43:45there were some other good comedians up
1309. 43:46there we go okay we're good but that guy
1310. 43:48is and so they plucked him Hollywood and
1311. 43:51then um they plucked the next guy who
1312. 43:53was another brilliant guy that made
1313. 43:55probably the best comedian ever come out
1314. 43:57of San Francisco was was Dana Carvey and
1315. 43:59then he got plucked out and got the
1316. 44:00Saturday Night Live and then um I guess
1317. 44:02I was I was up there too well maybe this
1318. 44:05guy and um but San Francisco was and
1319. 44:08that's what was very interesting about
1320. 44:10um a liberal City at that time a liberal
1321. 44:14city which wasn't in power because we
1322. 44:16were at that point sad because Los
1323. 44:18Angeles got all the you know the
  1324. 44:20businesses moved I remember there was
1325. 44:22Planters peanuts moved from San
1326. 44:24Francisco to Los Angeles and the whole
1327. 44:26town was like no we're losing business
1328. 44:28they already have the weather they have
1329. 44:30the supermodels they got all the TV
1330. 44:31shows we have nothing up here we have
1331. 44:33the last place 49ers The Last Place San
1332. 44:35Francisco Giants so it was literally
1333. 44:37like a depression up there so at the
1334. 44:39time though that that that kind of
  1335. 44:42downtrodden liberalism created a a very
1336. 44:46welcoming thing for for comedians who
1337. 44:48were trying to do something different as
1338. 44:49I was back in the early 80s late 70s and
1339. 44:53then we um we kind of came into
1340. 44:55something interesting where as you know
1341. 44:57there was an explosion of Comedy not
1342. 44:59that it was all great I mean Jerry
1343. 45:01Seinfeld talks about like Jerry Seinfeld
  1344. 45:03says in
1345. 45:041975 there were 40 Comedians and eight
1346. 45:07of them were good in
  1347. 45:101985 there were 4,000 Comedians and
  1348. 45:13eight of them were good so I mean I I
1349. 45:17think that um Jay Leno took me aside and
1350. 45:19said you know why you need how much time
1351. 45:21you got kid I was driving him in my car
1352. 45:22to gigs when he would come to town how
  1353. 45:25much time you got kid and I said I got a
1354. 45:27about you know 8 minutes good you know
  1355. 45:29got 8 minutes I thought you know
1356. 45:30everybody said I got two hours of Comedy
1357. 45:32material you know who wants to hear two
1358. 45:33hours of Comedy material either have
1359. 45:35five minutes to kills every time
1360. 45:36everywhere you go or you have nothing so
1361. 45:38I spent the next eight months working on
1362. 45:40those five minutes and then eight months
1363. 45:41after that I was on David Letterman then
1364. 45:43I got an HBO so I mean David Spade uh
1365. 45:47Chris Rock Adam Sandler well maybe Chris
1366. 45:49Rock had more material but we basically
1367. 45:51had 20 really good minutes that was
1368. 45:53enough that's all you need who wants to
1369. 45:55hear more than that that's all you
1370. 45:55needed in LA and then uh you get on
  1371. 45:58Saturday Night Live and it's like a
1372. 45:59rocket you don't even know what happened
1373. 46:01you have like one day you're completely
1374. 46:03unknown the next day you're you know
1375. 46:06buying milk in in a grocery store and
1376. 46:08people are doing your bits Ben the bener
1377. 46:11Bama all right B buying milk and then
  1378. 46:14she she's like wow that I think they're
1379. 46:16doing me and that was just I just did
1380. 46:17that and then you get movies but there's
1381. 46:20no there's no real career guidance you
  1382. 46:23know I mean I didn't know what to do or
1383. 46:24what not to do and um it was great the
1384. 46:28one great thing about being cancelled or
1385. 46:30whatever it's happened to me I got to go
1386. 46:32back and do what I started out doing
  1387. 46:34which I I don't think I ever really
1388. 46:35finished was really craft you know
1389. 46:39coming up with a really good standup the
  1390. 46:41craft of standup that's why I never
1391. 46:43wanted to do it because unless you're
  1392. 46:44doing it full-time I mean you can't I
1393. 46:47mean Chris Rock was the one who talked
1394. 46:48me to go back into it Adam Sandler too
1395. 46:50but Chris Rock who was you know the
1396. 46:52great the greatest comedian of Our
1397. 46:54Generation and he said you know you got
1398. 46:55to go back and do it you could be the
1399. 46:57best at this um you know and I said I
1400. 47:00don't even know what we talk about just
1401. 47:01talk about what we talk about every
  1402. 47:02morning because we were doing grown-ups
1403. 47:04at the time and then um I took him up on
1404. 47:06it and he was a real good good supporter
1405. 47:09and he doesn't align with me politically
1406. 47:12but we know good jokes when we hear them
1407. 47:15and then um I really freed me because
1408. 47:17the interesting thing is when they try
1409. 47:19to cancel you it is a really interesting
  1410. 47:22thing I don't know how else to describe
1411. 47:23it but like it's when they do go after
1412. 47:26you and they go after your pocketbook in
1413. 47:27your family and you think you may never
1414. 47:29work again it remind me of what um Alan
1415. 47:32Watts talks about the Great British
1416. 47:35philosopher um he said there was
1417. 47:38Japanese pilot who was um kamakazi pilot
1418. 47:43that's crashing his plane and this was
1419. 47:45it and he's going to crash his plane and
1420. 47:47so he said he knew he was going to die
1421. 47:49and the release that happened by the
1422. 47:51time uh it was all over with he said I
1423. 47:54what what was I ever worrying about
1424. 47:55anything in life it's all over with
1425. 47:56doesn't matter any of but he said that
1426. 47:58rush for freedom and then his wing got
1427. 48:00blown off and then he spun spun spun
1428. 48:02spun and landed in the ocean and
1429. 48:04survived and he went on to become a Zen
1430. 48:06Buddhist monk and to relay these stories
1431. 48:09and that idea of uh zazan he call it so
1432. 48:12in in a much much much smaller way I did
1433. 48:15feel like when they try to cancel you
1434. 48:17and you survive you do get emboldened
1435. 48:20and you go well what do I really want to
1436. 48:21do what do I really want to say and I'm
1437. 48:23not going to be fearful anymore and so
1438. 48:26if if I've helped people be slightly
1439. 48:28less fearful if I was able to be a voice
1440. 48:30for people who didn't feel like they
1441. 48:32could critique Hollywood you know
  1442. 48:35because I said I said you know early I
1443. 48:36said you know when Hillary lost I said I
1444. 48:38haven't seen the Democrats just pissed
1445. 48:39off since we freed the slaves and that
1446. 48:41went boom a while and then and then um
1447. 48:45you know when when when Nome wasn't when
1448. 48:49they tried to get rid of him when they
1449. 48:51tried to recall Nome and it was so
  1450. 48:53pathetically sad because like here's a
  1451. 48:54chance let's vote him out but then it's
1452. 48:57just like an abused spouse you know Ben
1453. 49:00they finally get I'm not taking this
1454. 49:01anymore I'm calling the cops on you and
1455. 49:03by the time they call the woman calls
1456. 49:05the police and then by the time the
1457. 49:06police come stay away from my husband I
1458. 49:08love he loved me I love him there was
  1459. 49:11something that happened and so that's
1460. 49:12why they got reelected again and I said
  1461. 49:14this I said I said Californians would
1462. 49:17vote for a bowl of if it had a d next to
1463. 49:20it and then that you know I guess that
1464. 49:22put the final nail on my uh Hollywood
1465. 49:25career so yeah obviously you you have
1466. 49:27the book you have this Media Company
1467. 49:29you're starting so what are the big
  1468. 49:29projects that you're looking forward to
1469. 49:30doing now well I'm going to work with um
1470. 49:33a really terrific broadcaster uh from
1471. 49:35England Andrew Doyle who I know did you
1472. 49:38know Andrew Doyle from GB news he's
1473. 49:40coming over his partner uh producing
1474. 49:43partner for for GB news is also coming
1475. 49:46over Martin guray and then the best
  1476. 49:48comedy writer in England I don't know he
1477. 49:50wants me to say his name now but uh he's
1478. 49:53going to be coming over uh Graham lenam
1479. 49:55I'm just GNA say it Graham you're gonna
1480. 49:57have to deal with it and he's one of the
1481. 49:59best writers uh I mean baa winning best
1482. 50:02comedy writer he is the best comedy
1483. 50:03writer in England and so we're going to
1484. 50:05start shows here uh in Arizona and I
1485. 50:08think we're going to do and and I think
1486. 50:10what's going to have to happen in the
1487. 50:11studios Independent Producers are the
1488. 50:13ones are going to be taking the risks
1489. 50:15and providing content uh for content for
1490. 50:17people that that people are going to
  1491. 50:18want to watch content that's for
1492. 50:20everybody that isn't trying to you know
1493. 50:24in indoctrinate people with this woke
  1494. 50:26nonsense so that's that's it you know in
1495. 50:29a nutshell and um I will say that the
1496. 50:32the standup tour has been really
  1497. 50:34educational and fun because that's the
1498. 50:36truth the audience will tell you the
1499. 50:37truth what they laugh at and um it was
1500. 50:40nice to see this happen because honestly
1501. 50:42Ben traveling around the country as I'm
1502. 50:44sure you have too there was a stress
1503. 50:46level that I've never seen in Americans
1504. 50:49I felt there was they were about ready
1505. 50:50to crack I felt they were so worried and
  1506. 50:53I I feel a real sense of of uh I
1507. 50:56wouldn't say Joy I would say a sense of
  1508. 50:59relief uh just
1509. 51:02a thank goodness and and that's the kind
1510. 51:05of when you try to scare people for
1511. 51:07years and try to make them feel bad try
1512. 51:09to call them racist white supremacist
1513. 51:12try to make them disparage them and call
1514. 51:15them garbage and deplorable and that
  1515. 51:17their their women aren't intelligent or
1516. 51:19smart it does it beats them down and
1517. 51:21this was a real rejection of that um
1518. 51:25narcissistic name calling and and
1519. 51:27hopefully the Democrats will or maybe
  1520. 51:29they won't hopefully they won't wake up
  1521. 51:31to it and they'll keep
1522. 51:32losing what are your thoughts about yeah
  1523. 51:34I mean I think that it's going to take a
  1524. 51:35little while in the wilderness you're
1525. 51:37starting to see this battle play out now
1526. 51:39where the heads of the democratic party
1527. 51:41who obviously have a stake in saying
1528. 51:42that did nothing wrong are fighting some
1529. 51:43of the people who have been outside and
  1530. 51:45so it's almost a a tripartite battle you
1531. 51:47have sort of the establishment of the
1532. 51:48democratic party which feels that it did
1533. 51:50a great job and then they are split
1534. 51:52between the wokeist and the people who
1535. 51:54kind of want to do the carvan reset the
1536. 51:56sort of Democratic Leadership Council
1537. 51:57Circa 1990 reset where they figure out
1538. 52:00what they did wrong it's going to take a
1539. 52:01while for them to Hash that out
  1540. 52:02especially because they don't have sort
1541. 52:04of a charismatic leader to to fill in
1542. 52:06all the gaps for them I think the nature
1543. 52:09on the Republican side by the way is
1544. 52:10that there there is the possibility of
1545. 52:13of Republicans and conservatives and and
  1546. 52:15everybody who's part of the Trump
1547. 52:16Coalition thinking that the referendum
1548. 52:18wasn't about trump it was sort of a
  1549. 52:20justification of everything Republicans
1550. 52:21have ever said I think you see this
1551. 52:23usually in Party politics where Obama
  1552. 52:25was a unique political figure everybody
1553. 52:26on the left sort of assumed that because
1554. 52:29he was popular that meant everything
1555. 52:30they were doing was popular and it
1556. 52:31turned out that wasn't true at all and I
1557. 52:33think the right you could see something
1558. 52:34pretty similar where it turns out that
  1559. 52:35Trump has a unique draw he's unique
1560. 52:37character in American life and that
1561. 52:39that's not actually quite duplicable
1562. 52:40that you can't just shove anybody else
1563. 52:42into that seat and then magically get
1564. 52:44the same sort of response from the
1565. 52:45American public you're not going to get
1566. 52:46low propensity voters to show up for you
1567. 52:48know JD Vance or Marco Ruby or whomever
  1568. 52:50else and that's going to be a new
  1569. 52:51challenge you're G have to have somebody
  1570. 52:53arrested 37 times or 37 convictions
1571. 52:57felony felony felony New York City
  1572. 52:59convictions by an impartial
1573. 53:01democratically insane jury and then
1574. 53:04you're going to have to have those seven
  1575. 53:05convictions and then you're gonna have
  1576. 53:06to have somebody who's almost murdered
1577. 53:08in public and then and that was that
1578. 53:11that was the thing like why what the
1579. 53:13Republicans really need to do is is to
1580. 53:14focus in and do the job that they've
1581. 53:17been asked to do and that's gonna have
1582. 53:19to do that I mean they're gonna have to
1583. 53:20like the the FBI when they're asked at
1584. 53:23the Congressional hearing um were there
  1585. 53:26any
1586. 53:27FBI dressed up as Trump supporters
1587. 53:29inciting and inviting people into
1588. 53:30capital and he said I'm not allowed to
1589. 53:32give out that information the answer is
1590. 53:34no you know Jimmy Doris says you know
1591. 53:38you got to say no that didn't happen or
1592. 53:40it did happen so these guys get get
1593. 53:42cleaned out he was one of the guys the
1594. 53:44head of the FBI he's the one of the guys
1595. 53:46said like well we don't know if he was
1596. 53:47really shot it could have been a piece
1597. 53:48of strap nail it's like why even make
1598. 53:51that crazy statement so you you really
1599. 53:54have these entrenched this guy was a was
1600. 53:56appointed by by Trump so you really have
1601. 53:59an entrenched group of people who don't
1602. 54:02seem to have uh a grasp on what the
1603. 54:06average American wants what the the
  1604. 54:08average American's life is like and I
  1605. 54:11think that's got to get cleaned up I
1606. 54:12mean if he says you know Trump said he's
1607. 54:14going to get rid of the Department of
  1608. 54:15Education I think that is a
  1609. 54:17phenomenal phenomenally important first
1610. 54:20gesture for many reasons because one
1611. 54:22thing 133% of the public of of the of
1612. 54:25public schools is founded by the FED
1613. 54:26feds now they wanted to increase that if
1614. 54:29Biden Harris this is one of the things
1615. 54:30that um moms for Liberty educated me
1616. 54:33about Tiffany Justice they wanted to
1617. 54:36increase that to 26% if that increase
1618. 54:39Ben would have happened that means the
1619. 54:41local school boards would have been
1620. 54:42irrelevant because then everything would
1621. 54:44have gone from the federal and then
1622. 54:46you're not going to have States uh you
1623. 54:49you're not GNA have the states being
1624. 54:51able to decide what their education is
1625. 54:52what the school boards are going to
1626. 54:54decide what the parents want to decide
  1627. 54:55so that I mean this was a critical
1628. 54:57turning point I do think that this this
1629. 55:00election is going to turn out to be one
1630. 55:02of the most critical turning points in
  1631. 55:03American history and I don't say that
1632. 55:05lightly and I don't want to say that but
1633. 55:07it's just factual it is true what was
1634. 55:10potentially tipping if they would have
1635. 55:12let in 11 million more people if they
1636. 55:14were able to flood Florida so that fla
1637. 55:16even Florida and then Texas and then
1638. 55:18then Ohio so that there we wouldn't get
1639. 55:21a choice next time we really were on on
  1640. 55:23a razer's edge tipping and I I do think
1641. 55:25that that was a avoided and avoided by
1642. 55:27the American people totally agree well
1643. 55:29Rob Schneider it's been great to see you
1644. 55:31can't wait to see what you do next
1645. 55:32really thanks for taking the time thank
1646. 55:34you very much and I I wish you have been
1647. 55:36a hero for me and you've have actually
1648. 55:39you know has helped a lot of us to uh to
1649. 55:42to to communicate better and to be more
1650. 55:44specific and precise and you really led
1651. 55:47the charge there was nobody doing what
1652. 55:48you were doing and you really are if you
  1653. 55:50look at anybody who's who's out there in
1654. 55:52the Public Square talking about
1655. 55:53conservative values and being able to
1656. 55:55back them up was you started that so
1657. 55:57thank you for that very sweet you really
1658. 55:59appreciate it great to see
