  1. 0:00This magical tool is one of the most
  2. 0:01important exercises you can do in your
  3. 0:03life. Let me tell you a really strange
  4. 0:06story. A story about what can best be
  5. 0:09described as magic. It started in 2010
  6. 0:12when a friend of mine introduced me to a
  7. 0:15really intriguing couple called John and
  8. 0:17Missy. John and Missy are the creators
  9. 0:19of Lifebook, which many people say is
  10. 0:21the most advanced goal setting and
  11. 0:24manifesting program in the world. So, in
  12. 0:262010 I found myself in Chicago going
  13. 0:30through a Lifebook experience in the
  14. 0:31form of a seminar. One of the Lifebook
  15. 0:33exercises was to get really crystal
  16. 0:37clear on the quality of the life you
  17. 0:39want to lead. To pretend as if the
  18. 0:41universe has your back and that any
  19. 0:44crazy dream you want could theoretically
  20. 0:48manifest. They asked you to look 3 to 5
  21. 0:52years ahead and to write down what came
  22. 0:55from your soul. Now, what was really
  23. 0:57interesting is that in that moment cuz
  24. 1:00you are so open, you are so confident, I
  25. 1:03wrote down some things which were pretty
  26. 1:04crazy. Even though at that time I didn't
  27. 1:07have much money. I was living in a
  28. 1:09bedroom in my parents' house and my
  29. 1:11little company, today known as
  30. 1:12Mindvalley, was just barely struggling
  31. 1:15by. But before I read you this list, one
  32. 1:17big caveat. Many of us learn to set
  33. 1:20goals the completely wrong way. We
  34. 1:22decide, "I want to move to New York. I
  35. 1:25want to get that job at that law firm. I
  36. 1:26want to have two kids and two cars in
  37. 1:28the garage. Meet and marry the woman of
  38. 1:30my dreams." These are not bad goals, but
  39. 1:33there's a problem with these goals. When
  40. 1:35you set goals like that, more often than
  41. 1:37not, you are following not what's coming
  42. 1:39from your soul, but you are following
  43. 1:41what culture, society are telling you to
  44. 1:43do. The secret is to understand that
  45. 1:46every soul has a particular destiny, has
  46. 1:48a path that it goes on. And when you can
  47. 1:50learn to listen to the goals which are
  48. 1:51coming out from within you, you're going
  49. 1:53to have a much easier time moving
  50. 1:54towards these goals. And here's the
  51. 1:56second secret.
  52. 1:57Sometimes you do not want to be
  53. 2:00specific. Especially when you're
  54. 2:02thinking about goals in relation to the
  55. 2:03quality of your life, you want to be
  56. 2:05highly unspecific. You want to focus on
  57. 2:09the what and the why, not the how, not
  58. 2:11the when, not the who. More on this
  59. 2:13later. These are some of the crazy goals
  60. 2:14I put down. I wrote down I wanted to
  61. 2:16visit 100 countries. I wanted to have
  62. 2:18access to the most influential people in
  63. 2:19the world. I wanted to be one of the
  64. 2:21world's top speakers. I wrote down I
  65. 2:22wanted to own or live in five-star
  66. 2:24resorts by the sea. I wanted to go on
  67. 2:26amazing fun adventure trips with
  68. 2:28brilliant people once a year. I wanted
  69. 2:30to live in luxury. I wanted amazing
  70. 2:33travel adventures, partying in the
  71. 2:35Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and more.
  72. 2:37I wrote I wanted to win an Emmy, and I
  73. 2:39wanted to be an online star in personal
  74. 2:41growth with 1 million active followers
  75. 2:43on my blog. Back then we used blogs, not
  76. 2:45Facebook or Instagram. So, here's the
  77. 2:47crazy thing. I was not remotely close to
  78. 2:49any of those.
  79. 2:51But, within 5 years magic started to
  80. 2:54happen. Now, how it happened is that
  81. 2:5710 months after going for Lifebook, just
  82. 3:0010 months after going for Lifebook,
  83. 3:03randomly out of the blue an idea emerged
  84. 3:06from my soul. That idea was something I
  85. 3:08never thought I'd go into. It was
  86. 3:10something that seemed crazy, and the
  87. 3:12idea was to start a festival. Somehow I
  88. 3:14ended up starting a festival that today
  89. 3:16is called A-Fest. That first festival
  90. 3:19came out of
  91. 3:21a gut instinct. I just felt this was
  92. 3:24something I needed to do. Could it be
  93. 3:26that maybe the universe was guiding me?
  94. 3:29Was giving me breadcrumbs towards that
  95. 3:31quality of life I'd written down? The
  96. 3:33first A-Fest happened in December 2010,
  97. 3:35and the festival sold out, and it
  98. 3:37continued to grow and grow and grow.
  99. 3:40A-Fest led to the revival of Mindvalley.
  100. 3:42A-Fest led to all of the other things
  101. 3:44that I'd written down. All of a sudden I
  102. 3:46was getting to travel and visit two to
  103. 3:47three new countries a year. All of a
  104. 3:49sudden I was a world-class speaker cuz
  105. 3:51I'd created my own stage. All of a
  106. 3:53sudden I was hanging out with all of
  107. 3:54these influential people. Guess what?
  108. 3:56A-Fest was happening in five-star
  109. 3:57resorts across the world. So, all of a
  110. 4:00sudden I had these luxury experiences I
  111. 4:02wanted. And at every A-Fest I would pull
  112. 4:04together Mindvalley authors and my team
  113. 4:06and we'd go on travel adventures. And my
  114. 4:09desire to go on amazing adventure trips
  115. 4:11with brilliant people suddenly became
  116. 4:13real. And we're not even at the craziest
  117. 4:15part yet. A-Fest as a festival
  118. 4:18is not just about personal growth. We
  119. 4:20have the most amazing parties.
  120. 4:24And all of a sudden I was having parties
  121. 4:26exactly like I'd written down. In the
  122. 4:28Mediterranean, at the castle from Game
  123. 4:29of Thrones, in the Caribbean, in private
  124. 4:32islands. All of this because it was part
  125. 4:35of this new product that I created for
  126. 4:38the world. And I got to play within the
  127. 4:40context of this festival.
  128. 4:43But the funniest thing is this. You see
  129. 4:44that goal, win an Emmy?
  130. 4:47I never thought I would possibly even
  131. 4:49think about how to win an Emmy.
  132. 4:51But one day at A-Fest a film director by
  133. 4:54the name of Nick Nanton shows up and
  134. 4:56creates a documentary on A-Fest. That
  135. 4:58documentary called Live Your Quest goes
  136. 5:01on to win an Emmy. And as the producer,
  137. 5:04I got an Emmy.
  138. 5:05How freaking cool is that? So, the moral
  139. 5:08of the story is this. Number one, your
  140. 5:10goals must come from your soul. Number
  141. 5:12two, when you get clear on the type of
  142. 5:16lifestyle you want, go in deep detail
  143. 5:19focusing on the feelings and the
  144. 5:20emotions.
  145. 5:22What often happens is new ways of life
  146. 5:24emerge from you. New inspiration on what
  147. 5:27you should do, where you should be, who
  148. 5:29to connect to. You cannot possibly
  149. 5:32conjure this up from just your logical
  150. 5:34mind. The universe works in mysterious
  151. 5:36ways.
  152. 5:37And this is one of the reasons why
  153. 5:38Lifebook is one of the most powerful
  154. 5:39personal growth programs out there.
  155. 5:42It literally causes reality to bend to
  156. 5:46have you step into this remarkable
  157. 5:49quality of life that you envision in
  158. 5:51your mind. Now, you don't just do this
  159. 5:52for quality of life and Lifebook you

  164. 6:03career. This is why Lifebook is now

  168. 6:11and more people. Today, you don't have
  169. 6:12to fly to Chicago to attend that
  170. 6:14seminar. Today, you can experience
