  1. 0:00And he says
  2. 0:02means
  3. 0:12that there is no turning away from
  4. 0:14sinning against Allah except with the
  5. 0:17redemption of Allah. And there's no
  6. 0:19strength to worship Allah except by
  7. 0:21being given the ability to do so by
  8. 0:24Allah. So it's Allah who changes states.
  9. 0:27Allah changes a person from sin to
  10. 0:30repentance. Allah takes a person from
  11. 0:32sickness to health. Allah takes a person
  12. 0:35from weakness to strength. Allah takes a
  13. 0:37person from sorrow to joy. Allah changes
  14. 0:41your state. And when you entrust him
  15. 0:43with that saying that is not only a
  16. 0:47recognition that Allah is the only one
  17. 0:50worthy of worship and that you are in
  18. 0:51need of him. It's that it's only him who
  19. 0:54can actually turn you back to him. And
  20. 0:57so Allah subhana wa ta'ala gives you the
  21. 0:59means and Allah subhana t grants you the
  22. 1:02goal. He is in charge of all states
  23. 1:05including yours. He is the one who
  24. 1:07blesses you with strength. He's the one
  25. 1:09who overcomes your greatest obstacles
  26. 1:11for you. He's the one who pulls you out
  27. 1:13of weakness. And he is the one that
  28. 1:16allows you to come back to him subhanahu
  29. 1:18wa'ta'ala in ways that are beneficial to
  30. 1:20you in this life and of course even more
  31. 1:23so in the next. And the prophet
  32. 1:25sallallahu alaihi wasallam said, "Shall
  33. 1:27I not tell you of a word which is one of
  34. 1:29the treasures of paradise,
  35. 1:33a treasure of Jenna?" And so the
  36. 1:36companion said, "Yes, oh messenger of
  37. 1:38Allah," he said, "Say."
  38. 1:42And in one narration the prophet
  39. 1:43sallallaihi wasallam said
  40. 1:47be frequent in saying
  41. 1:50so say it a hundred times a thousand
  42. 1:52times whatever you can keep on repeating
  43. 1:56this treasure of Jenna. And as the
  44. 1:58mentioned what this means is that you
  45. 1:59will find treasures not just trees
  46. 2:02treasures in Jenna that will be granted
  47. 2:04to you because of the amount of times
  48. 2:06that you said.
  49. 2:10Now what does this actually mean?
  50. 2:14He summarizes some of the statements of
  51. 2:16the companions and he says
  52. 2:19means
  53. 2:28that there is no turning away from
  54. 2:31sinning against Allah except with the
  55. 2:33redemption of Allah and there's no
  56. 2:35strength to worship Allah except by
  57. 2:38being given the ability to do so by
  58. 2:41Allah. So it's Allah who changes states.
  59. 2:44Allah changes a person from sin to
  60. 2:47repentance. Allah takes a person from
  61. 2:49sickness to health. Allah takes a person
  62. 2:52from weakness to strength. Allah takes a
  63. 2:54person from sorrow to joy. Allah changes
  64. 2:58your state. And when you entrust him
  65. 3:00with that, Allah subhana wa tala will
  66. 3:02never let you down. And that's why
  67. 3:04subhan Allah there are other dua that
  68. 3:06are in the spirit of
  69. 3:09including the most frequent dua of the
  70. 3:11prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
  71. 3:16Oh turner of hearts make my heart firm
  72. 3:19on your religion. So even my heart is
  73. 3:22not in my possession. Allah subhanahu wa
  74. 3:24ta'ala is the one who can turn it back
  75. 3:26to him and Allah subhana wa ta'ala is
  76. 3:28the one who can keep me steadfast on his
  77. 3:31path. Now, some of you might think,
  78. 3:34well, does this mean that I have no
  79. 3:36power? Does this mean that I have no
  80. 3:38responsibility? Because if I have no
  81. 3:41responsibility, then I have no
  82. 3:43accountability. And obviously, that's
  83. 3:44not an Islamic concept. So, what does
  84. 3:48mean for our part of this, for our work?
  85. 3:52And this is really the beauty of our
  86. 3:54relationship with Allah subhana wa
  87. 3:55ta'ala is that you have to lose hope in
  88. 3:59all of these other things while using
  89. 4:02them as a means to connect you to Allah
  90. 4:04subhana wa ta'ala. What does this mean?
  91. 4:07Represents the first article of faith,
  92. 4:10the admission of the oneness of God
  93. 4:14connects us to the last article of faith
  94. 4:17which is the belief in Allah subhana t's
  95. 4:19divine decree. It's complete to the
  96. 4:23decree of Allah. Complete submission to
  97. 4:25the decree of Allah. Which is why the
  98. 4:27prophet sallall alaihi wasallam said in
  99. 4:28one narration that if a person says
  100. 4:32Allah says
  101. 4:36my servant has resigned and submitted
  102. 4:39himself to me. And so you do all of the
  103. 4:42things that are necessary to elevate
  104. 4:46yourself to bring yourself to the
  105. 4:49positions of happiness that you seek in
  106. 4:50this life to positions of strength and
  107. 4:53to ultimately a position of salvation.
  108. 4:55But you recognize as you are engaging
  109. 4:58those means that it's only Allah subhana
  110. 5:01wa ta'ala who could bless those means
  111. 5:03and provide for you and bring you to
  112. 5:05where you need to be. And that's why you
  113. 5:08submit yourself even as you fully work.
  114. 5:11And this is something that represents
  115. 5:13our relationship with Allah subhana wa
  116. 5:14ta'ala from the very moment that we set
  117. 5:17foot out of our doors. The prophet
  118. 5:20sallallahu alaihi wasallam said that
  119. 5:22when a person leaves their home and says
  120. 5:31with the name of Allah, I put my trust
  121. 5:33in Allah and there is no power or
  122. 5:36strength except with Allah that the
  123. 5:39angels respond and the angels say
  124. 5:45that you are guided, you are defended
  125. 5:48and you are protected. And then the they
  126. 5:51flee from that person and they say to
  127. 5:53each other as they're walking away from
  128. 5:54you, how can you deal with a person who
  129. 5:57has been guided, defended, and
  130. 6:00protected? And so it's your protective
  131. 6:02shield as you leave your house that as
  132. 6:05you go to take yourself to a position of
  133. 6:07goodness, you know that Allah subhanahu
  134. 6:09wa ta'ala is going to be your ultimate
  135. 6:12protector. And the most noble place to
  136. 6:14go with this transformed being of yours
  137. 6:17and this perspective is to the mazjid.
  138. 6:19And that's why when we respond to the
  139. 6:21call of salah when we hear
  140. 6:26come to the prayer come to success we
  141. 6:29respond with
  142. 6:32that there is no power or no strength
  143. 6:35except with Allah subhana wa ta'ala
  144. 6:37meaning it's only allahel who can bring
  145. 6:40me to success. It's only Allah who can
  146. 6:43bring me to salah. Now I don't make any
  147. 6:45excuses. I wake myself up. I do my best
  148. 6:49to go out. But I know that at the end of
  149. 6:51the day, Allah is the one who grants me
  150. 6:53the means of success and Allah is the
  151. 6:55one who rewards me with success. And so
  152. 6:58I fully put my trust in him. Subhanahu
  153. 7:00wa ta'ala.
  154. 7:03Now I wanted to end subhan Allah with a
  155. 7:05beautiful dua that really shows you how
  156. 7:09incredible your dua can be when you
  157. 7:12combine these various that we've been
  158. 7:14covering these various forms of
  159. 7:15remembrance. In one narration from
  160. 7:19he said that the prophet sallallahu
  161. 7:20alaihi wasallam said that whoever wakes
  162. 7:23up and says
  163. 7:32alhamdulillah
  164. 7:39and then that person says
  165. 7:42my lord forgive me. The prophet sallall
  166. 7:44alaihi wasallam said that person would
  167. 7:45be forgiven for all of their sins. And
  168. 7:47in one narration the prophet sallall
  169. 7:49alaihi wasallam said Allah would forgive
  170. 7:50all of his sins even if they were like
  171. 7:52the foam of the sea. And the prophet
  172. 7:55continues and he said and if that person
  173. 7:57then makes a dua Allah would surely
  174. 8:00answer their dua. And if that person
  175. 8:02gets up from bed and makes and then
  176. 8:05prays Allah would surely accept their
  177. 8:08prayer. And so all of these in and of
  178. 8:11themselves, they are treasures and trees
  179. 8:14in Jenna. So what is it like when you
  180. 8:16start to mix these together and
  181. 8:18acknowledge fully the power of Allah
  182. 8:20subhana wa ta'ala over you and your
  183. 8:23dependence upon him and then seek
  184. 8:25prosperity in this life and forgiveness
  185. 8:28for the hereafter after which the
  186. 8:30entrance is into
  187. 8:33with our prophet Sam.
  188. 8:38How?
  189. 9:10>> [singing]
  190. 9:21[singing]
  191. 9:29>> alhamdulillah.
