The Only Trading Strategy I’ve Used For 7 Years (Stupid Simple) — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00I've been trading for the last 7 years
- 0:02and I spent countless hours along with
- 0:05thousands of dollars on education and
- 0:07courses. And the result was I kept on
- 0:09losing trades consistently and blowing
- 0:12numerous accounts. And after losing
- 0:15everything, I finally decided to rebuild
- 0:18my entire process from scratch and
- 0:21develop a proper system and strategy.
- 0:24Now I'm able to make consistent profits
- 0:26in the market and trade full-time for a
- 0:30living. In today's video, I'm going to
- 0:32share with you my exact system and
- 0:34strategy that is very simple to
- 0:36understand. It doesn't require any fancy
- 0:39indicators and is repeatable. Then I'm
- 0:42going to share with you real examples on
- 0:45the charts. Let's get into it. So, as
- 0:48you can see right now, I have my trading
- 0:50statistics pulled up here for the first
- 0:53two weeks of February. As you can see,
- 0:55I'm up $67,000
- 0:57for the month. 66% trade win percentage,
- 1:0112 wins, six losses, profit factor of
- 1:04$3.45.
- 1:06Day win percentage of 77% with an
- 1:09average win to loss ratio of 1.72.
- 1:13As you can see, this is what my P&L
- 1:15graph looks like. And these are my
- 1:16trading statistics. As you can see, I'm
- 1:18up $55,000
- 1:20for week number one. Week number two, up
- 1:22$12,000, putting me up $67,000
- 1:26for the month. And in today's video, I'm
- 1:28going to share with you my exact
- 1:29strategy along with three setups that I
- 1:32use on a consistent basis to help me
- 1:35achieve these results. I do want to
- 1:36mention that I've been trading for close
- 1:38to seven years and I lost for years in
- 1:40the markets in order to achieve results
- 1:42like this. So now with this being said,
- 1:44let's go over the basics of my strategy
- 1:47and then we're going to hop right into
- 1:48the charts and I'm going to show you
- 1:49guys live examples that I took in real
- 1:52time to show you guys exactly how to
- 1:54execute the strategy. So now let's talk
- 1:56about the bare bones of my strategy. And
- 1:58what I personally trade is something
- 2:00called the break and retest. The break
- 2:03and retest is something that I
- 2:04personally use every day. And all we're
- 2:06doing is looking for the reaction around
- 2:08key levels. We're essentially trying to
- 2:10capture trends in the markets. And
- 2:12within the break and retest, there are
- 2:14three primary setups that I look for,
- 2:16which I'm going to talk about in today's
- 2:18video and setups that I use on a
- 2:20day-to-day basis. And all we're doing,
- 2:22as I mentioned, is looking for the
- 2:24reaction that we have off of key levels.
- 2:26So, let's say price is pushing towards
- 2:28upside. We have a key level of
- 2:30resistance. Now, if we can break above
- 2:32this key level of resistance, retest
- 2:34this level, we can be looking for
- 2:36continuation towards upside. So all
- 2:38we're doing is looking for this previous
- 2:39level of resistance to turn into support
- 2:42for continuation higher. Let's say for
- 2:44example price pushes towards the upside
- 2:47and we end up breaking back underneath.
- 2:51So let's say for example this level was
- 2:53not used as support and we actually
- 2:54break back underneath this key level of
- 2:57resistance. Then we can be looking for
- 2:59the retest back towards the downside. So
- 3:01as I mentioned all we're doing is
- 3:03looking for the reaction around key
- 3:05levels. If the market wants to trend
- 3:06higher and hold market structure, we can
- 3:08be looking for upside. If the market
- 3:10wants to break back underneath key
- 3:11levels and start downtrending, then we
- 3:13could be looking for downside. So now,
- 3:15with this being said, let's go on to the
- 3:17three setups that I use on a day-to-day
- 3:19basis. I'm going to show you guys plenty
- 3:21of examples on the charts, and then I'm
- 3:23going to be showing you guys live
- 3:24sessions to tie it all together. Let's
- 3:26get straight into the setups. So, the
- 3:28three simple setups that I'm going to be
- 3:30talking about today is number one, the
- 3:32previous day high/ previous day low
- 3:34break and retest. Number two, the
- 3:36opening range retest. And number three,
- 3:38the order block retest. So, these three
- 3:41are by far my favorite setups within the
- 3:43break and retest. There are plenty more
- 3:45different setups within the break and
- 3:47retest system, but these are the three
- 3:49primary ones that I use on a day-to-day
- 3:51basis. So, these are the ones I'm going
- 3:52to be talking about in today's video.
- 3:54So, the first setup we're going to talk
- 3:55about here is the previous day high/
- 3:58previous day low break and retest. And
- 3:59all we're doing is looking at its
- 4:01previous days price action. You can do
- 4:03this on the daily chart. I personally
- 4:05like drawing these levels and areas on
- 4:07the 15 minute and 1 hour time frame, but
- 4:10essentially based off the daily chart,
- 4:11all we're doing is mark out the high and
- 4:13we're marking out the low on its
- 4:14previous day and we're dragging it over.
- 4:16So, this is what it's going to look like
- 4:17here on the 15-minut time frame. We can
- 4:20mark out the high and we can also mark
- 4:22out the low. And these areas are very
- 4:24key because there's lots of liquidity
- 4:26resting above and below its previous day
- 4:29key levels. And all we're doing when
- 4:31trading the previous day high and
- 4:32previous day low break and retest. Let's
- 4:34say we're trading the upside and price
- 4:36opens up right in the middle of the
- 4:38range. We're going to be looking for the
- 4:39break above our previous day highs
- 4:41retest for continuation towards upside.
- 4:44This is one scenario that we could be
- 4:45looking for. Of course, once we break
- 4:46above, we can be looking for
- 4:48continuation above our previous day
- 4:49highs with a stop underneath. Another
- 4:52possible long scenario is going to be
- 4:54the retest off of our previous day lows.
- 4:57And we could be looking for a reversal
- 4:59trade off our previous day lows for
- 5:01continuation higher. So this is more of
- 5:03a reversal setup, but similar thing. We
- 5:05can be looking for the bounce off our
- 5:07previous day lows for a continued push
- 5:08back towards the upside with low risk
- 5:10underneath our previous day lows. So
- 5:12these are our two scenarios for the
- 5:14upside. And the exact same thing applies
- 5:16to the downside. Let's say for example
- 5:19price you want to see continue lower.
- 5:21The continuation setup, we need to see
- 5:22the break retest underneath our previous
- 5:25day lows for this continuation lower.
- 5:27What we can be looking for here is a
- 5:28short underneath our previous day lows
- 5:31and we can be looking for continuation
- 5:33towards the downside. Another possible
- 5:35scenario here is if price comes up and
- 5:37towards our previous day highs, rejects,
- 5:39we can be looking for continuation lower
- 5:41as well. We can have a stop just a break
- 5:42above and we could be looking for
- 5:44continuation back towards the downside.
- 5:46And these are two scenarios that could
- 5:47be trading towards the downside. So as
- 5:49you can see right here, we have a few
- 5:50scenarios. We have two scenarios to the
- 5:52upside, two scenarios towards the
- 5:54downside. We have two continuation
- 5:56setups and we have two reversal setups.
- 5:58So, this is exactly what it looks like
- 6:00here. I'll show you guys some examples
- 6:02on the charts here in a second, but this
- 6:04is exactly how to trade the previous day
- 6:06high and previous day low retest. The
- 6:08next setup is something called the
- 6:10opening range retest. This is one of my
- 6:13personal favorites. It's very beginner
- 6:15friendly to use. A lot of people do this
- 6:17on the 1, five, or 15minut time frame.
- 6:20My personal favorite is the five minute
- 6:23of course and that is the best one that
- 6:24is working in this current market
- 6:26environment. So what we're going to do
- 6:28here is mark out that first 5inut
- 6:31candle. So that first 5minute candle
- 6:33here that forms at 9:30 a.m. Eastern
- 6:36Standard Time is going to be key. So the
- 6:38market opens up at 9:30 a.m. EST. If
- 6:41your time zone is different or you're
- 6:42somewhere else in the world, you can
- 6:44switch your time zone into Eastern
- 6:46Standard Time. And what we're going to
- 6:48do is mark out the first five minute
- 6:50candle. So you can count one, two,
- 6:52three, four, five. And these are five
- 6:55one minute candles. And what we can do
- 6:57here is mark out the high and we can
- 6:59mark out the low of the first five
- 7:01minutes. And that is going to be key cuz
- 7:04that establishes what's called our
- 7:05opening range. What's great about the
- 7:07opening range is it gives us a good
- 7:09indication on where the market wants to
- 7:10head right off the bat. So, as you can
- 7:12see, we end up breaking towards the
- 7:14upside and we end up breaking above our
- 7:16fiveminute range high. Once that occurs,
- 7:19now we can be looking for something
- 7:20called the retest of our 5minute range
- 7:22high. So, you can see price ends up
- 7:24coming back down in towards our retest
- 7:26level, which happens to be our 5minute
- 7:28range high. We'd like to see some buyers
- 7:30step in right here and we can be looking
- 7:32for this continuation back towards the
- 7:33upside. Our stops can be below our 5mm
- 7:36range high. We can look for entries
- 7:38offer five minute range high and we
- 7:39could be looking for continuation back
- 7:42towards the upside. This is one of my
- 7:44personal favorite trading strategies is
- 7:46using the fivem minute range high and
- 7:47low. I personally like looking for
- 7:49continuation setups. Of course, we have
- 7:51the reversal setup as well. So, let's
- 7:53say we end up failing the 5minute range
- 7:55high and price ends up getting back
- 7:57underneath. We can be looking for the
- 7:58retest actually towards the downside.
- 8:00Most people don't know this, but you can
- 8:02actually trade this towards the
- 8:03downside, and you can look for a
- 8:04reversal trade, especially if the higher
- 8:06time frame is not in your favor. Now,
- 8:08with this being said, let's go on to my
- 8:10third trading setup, which is the order
- 8:13block retest. So, as you can see right
- 8:15here, what I have is my third retest,
- 8:17which is something called the order
- 8:19block retest. I have plenty of videos
- 8:20explaining exactly what an order block
- 8:23is, but in the most basic sense, when
- 8:25we're in a clear downtrend in the
- 8:26markets, up close candles will support
- 8:28price lower. And in an uptrend, we're
- 8:30going to be looking for downclosed
- 8:32candles to support price higher. So, as
- 8:34you can see here, what we have is what's
- 8:36called an up close candle. So, we're in
- 8:37a downtrend here. What we're going to do
- 8:39is mark out up close candles. In this
- 8:41case, the highest probability is going
- 8:42to be from the bottom of the wick to the
- 8:45bottom of the body and we can drag this
- 8:47general area over. So, once we break
- 8:48underneath, now we can be looking for
- 8:50this area as a retest. So, you can see
- 8:52price breaks underneath. We come back to
- 8:54retest this area. Now, what we're going
- 8:56to be doing is looking for weak price
- 8:58action off this area. We can have stops
- 9:00just to break above this order block
- 9:02after this weak rejection. And we could
- 9:04be looking for continuation towards the
- 9:06downside. So, our entries can be off our
- 9:08order block. We can have stops at the
- 9:10top of the order block. We can have
- 9:11stops close to the body depending of
- 9:14course on your entry confirmation.
- 9:16Essentially, what the strategy is is as
- 9:18long as we have up close candles
- 9:19supporting price lower, that's exactly
- 9:21where we want to be entering trades off
- 9:23of. As I mentioned, I'm going to show
- 9:25you guys plenty of examples of exactly
- 9:26what this looks like on the chart. And
- 9:28then I'm going to show you guys real
- 9:29examples in real time. So now, with this
- 9:32being said, let's hop straight into the
- 9:33charts to show you guys exactly what
- 9:34this looks like. So the first setup
- 9:36we're going to talk about is the
- 9:37previous day high and previous day low
- 9:40strategy. And on this day, I actually
- 9:41ended up taking two trades. Both of the
- 9:43trades were both the previous day high
- 9:45retest. One was an immediate retest and
- 9:47another one was a little bit more of a
- 9:49clear retest. I'm going to show you both
- 9:51the examples and I'm going to show you
- 9:52guys the live session. So, this was on
- 9:54Nvidia Monday, February the 9th. End up
- 9:57taking the 18750 calls. End up making
- 10:00$12,900
- 10:02on this setup. As you can see, I had
- 10:04$14,000 position size. Net ROI was $86%.
- 10:08I did end up trading zeroday contracts
- 10:10on this one. My total risk amount was
- 10:12very minimal. As soon as I was in this
- 10:14trade, there was no draw down
- 10:15whatsoever. I end up risking around
- 10:17$3,000 for a realized R multiple of 4R.
- 10:21And of course, the setups I end up
- 10:23taking was the previous day high retest.
- 10:25As you can see, these are my executions
- 10:27as well, just so you guys know that I
- 10:28did take this in real time. I'm going to
- 10:30quickly go over my second trader here as
- 10:32well. But the exact same day, I end up
- 10:34taking AMD, $2,900 on this one. 24% net
- 10:38ROI. I was risking around $1,200 on this
- 10:41one for a realized R multiple of 2.42.
- 10:44And as you can see, the setup was that
- 10:46previous day high retest. Now, let's go
- 10:48on to the charts. So, as you can see
- 10:50right here, we're on the Nvidia chart.
- 10:52We end up having a nice push towards the
- 10:54upside. What we're going to do in this
- 10:55case is mark out our previous day highs.
- 10:57So, our previous day highs is our 186.
- 11:00So, coming into market open, if we can
- 11:02get above our 186, use this as a retest,
- 11:04we can be looking for continuation
- 11:06towards upside. Of course, another
- 11:07scenario here as well is a potential
- 11:09previous day high rejection. But, I was
- 11:11leaning a little bit more bullish this
- 11:12day based off our pre-market game plan.
- 11:13And if you do want to check out my
- 11:15pre-market game plan, I do live stream
- 11:16it on YouTube for absolutely free. So,
- 11:19make sure to check that out. It is on my
- 11:21main YouTube channel. I do that at 8:30
- 11:23a.m. Eastern Standard Time from Monday
- 11:25to Friday. So, with that being said,
- 11:27let's mark off our key levels, which in
- 11:29this case is our previous day highs. And
- 11:31now, let's go on to the lower time
- 11:32frames. So, as you can see right here on
- 11:35Nvidia, we're having this immediate push
- 11:37towards the upside. We're showing
- 11:39relative strength compared to the
- 11:40overall markets. All I'm looking for is
- 11:42a retest off our previous day highs for
- 11:44continuation.
- 11:46We end up getting this immediate retest
- 11:48here. So, I'm going to show you exactly
- 11:49why I was really aggressive on Nvidia,
- 11:51but this one had relative strength. This
- 11:53is exactly where I personally got in.
- 11:55Got in as this candle was forming. Stop
- 11:57loss was a break below. Targets was
- 12:00based off the higher time frames. Of
- 12:01course, I'm going to explain that in the
- 12:03live session. But now, let's just play
- 12:05out the tape.
- 12:09And as you can see right there, Nvidia
- 12:10end up having a super solid push towards
- 12:13the upside. I'm going to explain the
- 12:14whole thought process, but as you can
- 12:16see, really solid buyers stepping in
- 12:18exactly where they're supposed to. So,
- 12:19you can see this previous level of
- 12:21resistance ended up turning into support
- 12:24for this continuation higher. And this
- 12:25is exactly how to use the previous day
- 12:27high retest. I'm on the next example,
- 12:29which is on AMD on the exact same day.
- 12:32And we end up taking the exact same
- 12:34setup towards the upside, but just on a
- 12:35different ticker. So for AMD as you can
- 12:37see similar thesis here what we have is
- 12:40our previous day highs. You can see we
- 12:41have multiple touches in the previous
- 12:43day and of course in the pre-market as
- 12:45well. So if we can get above our
- 12:46previous day highs use this level as a
- 12:48retest we can be looking for
- 12:49continuation towards upside. So the
- 12:51exact level we can have marked out is
- 12:53our previous day highs. Let's go on to
- 12:55the 1 minute time frame.
- 12:57So as you can see price is now breaking
- 12:59above our previous day highs. So what we
- 13:02could be looking for here is now the
- 13:03retest off this level for continuation
- 13:05higher.
- 13:07You can see price is now tapping into
- 13:09our retest level. We have some buyers
- 13:11stepping in here as well. Now we can
- 13:13have a stop just underneath our previous
- 13:15day highs and be looking for
- 13:16continuation back towards the upside.
- 13:18Now let's play out the tape. And as you
- 13:21can see right there once again buyers
- 13:22stepped in nicely right off our previous
- 13:24day highs. And that's exactly where we
- 13:26look to enter in. right off our previous
- 13:28day highs, previous level of resistance
- 13:30ended up turning into support for
- 13:32continuation higher. Now, with this
- 13:34being said, let's go on to the live
- 13:35session to show you guys exactly what my
- 13:37thought process was in real time. Key
- 13:40level that we have marked at 187. Above
- 13:41187, we can see continuation rejection.
- 13:42We can see this potential push down
- 13:43towards that 182. As for AMD, this one
- 13:45earnings last week big push towards the
- 13:46downside key level on AMD. Moving
- 13:47forward is going to be this 205 along
- 13:48with our previous highs we can keep an
- 13:49eye out for. As for a couple other
- 13:50names, so as you can see right there, I
- 13:52talked about Nvidia along with AMD above
- 13:54our previous day highs. There were some
- 13:56audio issues during this live session.
- 13:57So, I'm just going to narrate exactly
- 13:58what I was looking for during this live
- 14:00session in real time.
- 14:06What I'll be looking for in video here
- 14:07is to break above our previous day
- 14:08highs. This one has relative strength
- 14:09key level here is going to be that
- 14:1018695. If you can get above that with
- 14:11some strength here on the Q as well, we
- 14:12could be looking for yeah 18750 or 190
- 14:14calls on Nvidia. So, basically what I'm
- 14:15saying here is as you can see within the
- 14:17first 5 minutes of market open, Nvidia
- 14:19is pushing towards upside very nicely.
- 14:21We're now gravitating towards our
- 14:22previous day highs. Q's dropped right
- 14:24off the bat, but we're so far holding
- 14:26this 605. So, I'd like to see
- 14:27continuation back up in towards the 611.
- 14:30As for AMD, we like to see this one get
- 14:32back above our 20750 along with that
- 14:34previous day highs.
- 14:37So, basically what I'm saying right here
- 14:39is Nvidia, we're gravitating up and
- 14:41towards our previous day highs. Q's
- 14:43pushing higher here as well. What I'll
- 14:44be looking for is the retest above our
- 14:46previous day highs. Looking for the
- 14:4818750 calls or the 190 calls on Nvidia.
- 14:55So, as you can see right here on Nvidia,
- 14:56we're getting that immediate retest I
- 14:58mentioned, keep an eye out on the 18750
- 15:00calls. If you do see any sort of strong
- 15:02buyer step in, we'll be looking for the
- 15:04immediate retest for this continuation
- 15:06towards the upside. And as you can see
- 15:08right there, buyers stepped in
- 15:09aggressively. This is exactly where I
- 15:11get in with a stop loss just to break
- 15:13below. And now I'm looking for
- 15:14continuation towards the upside here on
- 15:16Nvidia. This one just had a lot of
- 15:17relative strength compared to the
- 15:18market. Q, as you can see, not as
- 15:20bullish. Nvidia is very bullish. So, I'm
- 15:22very interested in taking this towards
- 15:24the upside.
- 15:27As you can see, super strong close here
- 15:28on Nvidia. This one's now pushing nicely
- 15:30towards the upside. What I like to see
- 15:32here on the cues is a break above the
- 15:34608. AMD is pushing towards our
- 15:35pre-market highs along with our previous
- 15:37day highs here as well. So, we can also
- 15:38keep an eye on AMD for continuation.
- 15:43So, as you can see right here, Q's,
- 15:44we're getting this nice now push above
- 15:46our 5mm range high. Next level here is
- 15:48our 610. AMD, we can keep an eye on AMD
- 15:51for the retest off our previous day
- 15:52highs. Nvidia super strong. Really next
- 15:54level for me is that 193 just taking
- 15:57profits along the ways, but next level
- 15:59is our higher time frame objective.
- 16:02So, as AMD is now coming back down, I
- 16:04mentioned keep an eye out on the 210
- 16:06calls here on AMD. Any sort of strong
- 16:08buyers, we can take this back towards
- 16:10the upside. Nvidia is very strong
- 16:12already. We're taking profits and we're
- 16:13looking for this 193. As for the Q's,
- 16:16very much intact. you like to see this
- 16:17push up and towards our Friday's highs
- 16:19of last week.
- 16:21As you can see here on Nvidia, nice
- 16:23buyers stepping in, picked up some of
- 16:24the 210 calls, risk underneath our
- 16:26previous day highs. Now looking for high
- 16:28day plus continuation. Invidia, we're in
- 16:30a very good spot. We're just scaling
- 16:31along the ways. Next level here is our
- 16:33193.
- 16:35As you can see, Q's now pushing up into
- 16:37that 611. AMD already took my first
- 16:39scales up into this first pop. Nvidia,
- 16:41I've already scaled along the ways.
- 16:43Looking for my final scale up into this
- 16:45193.
- 16:47And as you can see right there on
- 16:48Nvidia, nice push up in towards our
- 16:50final key level, which happens to be our
- 16:53193. As for AMD, this one ended up
- 16:55moving nicely up into that 215. But you
- 16:57can see right there, this was a great
- 16:58example of using that previous day high
- 17:00retest. Perfect bounce here off AMD.
- 17:03Nice textbook retest towards the upside.
- 17:05Nvidia, another one that was super solid
- 17:07immediate retest. You have to be a
- 17:08little bit more aggressive. So, with
- 17:09this being said, now let's go on to the
- 17:11second setup that I have for us today.
- 17:13So, now I'm going to be talking about
- 17:14the next setup, which is one of my
- 17:15favorites, which is the opening range
- 17:17retest. And as you can see, we're on
- 17:19Invidia. I end up taking the 180 puts. I
- 17:21actually end up taking two trades on
- 17:23this day. Once again, both were based
- 17:24off of the 5minute opening range plus
- 17:27our one minute order block as well. But
- 17:28I end up making $11,700
- 17:31on this one. 97% net ROI. End up trading
- 17:35110 contracts. trade risk amount was
- 17:37$2900.
- 17:39Realize our multiple was $3.95.
- 17:42Now, as I scroll down here, these are my
- 17:44trade executions as well. Just so you
- 17:46guys know, I did take this in real time.
- 17:47I ended up taking the 180 puts. And you
- 17:50can see how nicely the contracts moved
- 17:51from over $1 to close to $270 on the
- 17:55contracts. Now, let's go on to the
- 17:57charts to show you guys exactly what the
- 17:58thought process was. So, as you can see
- 18:00on the charts, what I have here is
- 18:02Nvidia. We're on the fiveminut time
- 18:04frame. We can see really solid push
- 18:06towards the downside. We're currently
- 18:07underneath our previous day lows. You
- 18:10can see we have that first 5minute
- 18:11candle played out here as well. So we're
- 18:13fairly bearish on the day. What we're
- 18:15going to be looking for here on Nvidia
- 18:17is really the previous day low retest if
- 18:19that could form or if price wants to
- 18:20stay heavy. We could be looking for the
- 18:225minute range low retest for
- 18:23continuation towards the downside. So
- 18:25the levels that we're going to have
- 18:26marked out is going to be our opening
- 18:28range low on the 5minut and opening
- 18:30range high. Now let's go on to the one
- 18:32minute time frame. So, as you can see
- 18:34right here on Nvidia, we have this nice
- 18:36push towards the downside within the
- 18:38first five minutes of market open. We're
- 18:40underneath our previous day lows here as
- 18:42well. What we're going to do is really
- 18:43mark out this general area, this 5minute
- 18:45range low plus this up close candle.
- 18:47We're going to be using this level as a
- 18:48retest for this continuation back
- 18:50towards the downside. So, as you can see
- 18:53right here on Nvidia, price ends up
- 18:55coming back up in towards our retest
- 18:57level. We can be looking for shorts with
- 18:59a stop just to break above looking for
- 19:01continuation towards the downside. This
- 19:03is where I personally took my first
- 19:05entry but price ended up coming back up
- 19:07once again and you can see nice solid
- 19:09rejections right off our fiveminute
- 19:11range low and this is where I ended up
- 19:13entering the puts for the second time
- 19:15which is the 180 puts towards the
- 19:17downside. You can be looking for a short
- 19:19with now a stop just a break above and
- 19:21you could be looking for low of day plus
- 19:22continuation towards the downside. And
- 19:24now let's play out the tape. And as you
- 19:27can see right there, Nvidia ended up
- 19:28having a super solid rejection off our
- 19:31fiveminute range low plus our one minute
- 19:33up close candle here as well, which is
- 19:35our order block. So as you can see right
- 19:36here, we're essentially combining both
- 19:38the opening range retest along with our
- 19:40order block retest, which gives us extra
- 19:42confluences that this is going to be a
- 19:43little bit more higher probability. You
- 19:45can see nice push towards the downside
- 19:46right in towards our takerit. So now I'm
- 19:49going to show you guys a live session to
- 19:50show you guys exactly what I was looking
- 19:52for in real time. So, as you can see
- 19:54right here to start off the day, Q's
- 19:56dropped right off the bat. Now, we're
- 19:57rejecting off key levels. Nvidia drop
- 19:59right off the bat here as well
- 20:01underneath our previous day lows. What I
- 20:02also have marked out here as well is
- 20:04going to be our 5minute range low along
- 20:06with this up close candle.
- 20:09So, I just mentioned here the QQQ level
- 20:11here is going to be that fiveinut range
- 20:13low. This is the exact level we want to
- 20:15reject if you want to see continuation
- 20:16towards the downside. As for Nvidia, our
- 20:18exact level here is this up close candle
- 20:20plus this 5minute range as well for
- 20:22continuation lower. All right, we keep
- 20:24an eye on Nvidia here Q so far getting
- 20:26us immediate retest off your fiveminute
- 20:27range low. Keep an eye on QQQ here. Five
- 20:28minute range low pressure up close sorry
- 20:29down close sorry up close candle here
- 20:30that one minute order block here. I'll
- 20:31be looking at the 180 puts on Nvidia.
- 20:33The 180s on Nvidia as you can see I
- 20:34mentioned keep an eye out on the 180
- 20:37puts Q so far getting that nice
- 20:38rejection here. Now for Nvidia we want
- 20:40the same rejection for this continuation
- 20:42towards the downside.
- 20:44Yeah, I'm going to try some Nvidia 180s
- 20:45here with the Q rejecting as well. Stop
- 20:47is going to be a break above this
- 20:47five-minute range high plus this one
- 20:48minute order block. I'm going to be
- 20:49looking for low of day plus this 183
- 20:50here. As you can see, I just took the
- 20:52180 puts towards the downside. As I
- 20:53mentioned, key level here, 5m minute
- 20:55range low plus this one minute order
- 20:57block. Q's rejection here is nice.
- 20:58Looking for a low of day plus
- 21:00continuation towards the downside.
- 21:02So, as you can see right there, Q super
- 21:04solid drop right off that 5minute range
- 21:06low. Nvidia nice push towards the
- 21:08downside here as well. Came down in
- 21:09towards our first takerit which was
- 21:11super nice here on Nvidia. Scaled some
- 21:13down in towards that key level. Sure, if
- 21:14there's news right there that actually
- 21:15ended up working out perfectly. scale
- 21:16down to this 183 here as I speed up the
- 21:19tape here. As you can see, QQQ a little
- 21:21bit of a bounce here off that 62350.
- 21:24What I was talking about here on Nvidia,
- 21:25as long as we can maintain underneath
- 21:27our 184, which is our 5m minute range
- 21:29low, plus this one minute down close
- 21:31candle here as well is kind of talking
- 21:32about the second re-entry that we can be
- 21:34looking for for this continuation
- 21:35towards the downside here as well. Now,
- 21:37we're breaking back underneath this
- 21:395minute range low.
- 21:42Yeah. So, Q's still staying heavy.
- 21:42Invidia still held their one minute
- 21:43order block in this five-minut range.
- 21:44Let's see if we can make a brand new low
- 21:45here with the Q's and Nvidia. We need to
- 21:46see back underneath now this 18319 which
- 21:48is your after hours lows. We can get
- 21:49candles underneath this. We have some
- 21:50more room toward the downside. Then we
- 21:51might like to see the Q's underneath the
- 21:52623 here.
- 22:00As you can see, super nice drop here on
- 22:02the QQQs. Another rejection here on
- 22:04Nvidia right off that 5m minute range
- 22:06low. Plus this up close candle here as
- 22:07well. We're just looking for this
- 22:08continuation lower here now on the major
- 22:10indices.
- 22:12As you can see, beautiful drop towards
- 22:14the downside here on Nvidia Q's. Nice
- 22:16break underneath our key levels here as
- 22:18well. Absolutely fantastic trade as I
- 22:20speed up the tape.
- 22:23As you can see, as I speed up the tape
- 22:24here, absolutely beautiful trade towards
- 22:27the downside here on Nvidia Q's. Perfect
- 22:29fiveminute range retest as well. Once we
- 22:31got underneath key levels, next level
- 22:33down towards that 620, Nvidia perfect
- 22:35rejection off that 5minute range and
- 22:37that one minute order block. Super solid
- 22:39push towards the downside. So, this was
- 22:40a great example of using the fiveinut
- 22:43opening range retest. Now, with that
- 22:45being said, let's go on to my third and
- 22:47final setup that we're going to talk
- 22:48about today. And right here, as you can
- 22:49see, we're finally on my last setup that
- 22:52we're going to talk about today, which
- 22:53is the order block retest. This is a
- 22:55great retest for scalps and trading
- 22:58quick momentum moves in the markets. End
- 23:00up trading Nvidia puts towards the
- 23:01downside, $3,700.
- 23:04Net ROI was 41%. Very quick move here in
- 23:07the markets. ended up risking about
- 23:09$1,600 on this trade. So, my realize our
- 23:12multiple ended up being 2.3R. Now, let's
- 23:15go into the charts to show you guys
- 23:16exactly what I was looking for. So, as
- 23:18you can see, we're on the Nvidia 5inut
- 23:21time frame. And we have the first 5
- 23:22minutes played out here in the market.
- 23:24And what we've created here is what's
- 23:25called a gap. So, a gap in the charts is
- 23:28what's created here from 400 p.m. to
- 23:309:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. If you
- 23:33go on to the regular trading hours
- 23:35versus the extended trading hours,
- 23:37you'll see that when we have the
- 23:38extended hours turned on, which is on
- 23:40the bottom right, we can see the after
- 23:42hours along with the pre-market data.
- 23:44When we toggle it to the regular trading
- 23:46hours, we can only see the data from
- 23:489:30 a.m. to 400 p.m. Eastern Standard
- 23:51Time. Whenever you want to see if
- 23:52there's gaps in the charts, the reason
- 23:54why you want to see gaps in the charts
- 23:55is because a lot of times the market
- 23:57will fill these gaps. It's what's called
- 24:00imbalances in the markets and markets
- 24:02don't like to be inefficient. They like
- 24:04to be very efficient. So the markets are
- 24:06going to look to fill these gaps to
- 24:07essentially rebalance the markets. So as
- 24:09you can see, we have a huge gap on
- 24:11Nvidia and what we're looking for here
- 24:12is really this gap fill towards the
- 24:15downside. What we can have marked out
- 24:16here is our fivem minute range high plus
- 24:19our 5mm range low.
- 24:22So all I'm looking for is up close
- 24:23candles in the markets to support price
- 24:25lower. So as you can see there's an up
- 24:26close candle here which end up using as
- 24:28a nice retest towards the downside. This
- 24:30one also coincided with that fiveminut
- 24:32range. So this one was the highest
- 24:34probability. We have another up close
- 24:35candle here which supports price towards
- 24:37the downside. You can see nice retest
- 24:39here. Another up close candle. You had
- 24:41this immediate retest. So you can see
- 24:42price is moving nicely towards the
- 24:44downside. What I'm going to mark out
- 24:45here is just the most recent up close
- 24:47candle and we can use this as resistance
- 24:50for continuation back down and towards
- 24:52that full gap fill. So you can see price
- 24:54is now coming up into our order block.
- 24:57We're looking for weak price action. As
- 24:59you can see, we get that weak candle
- 25:01closure right there with a stop just to
- 25:03break above this order block. And now we
- 25:05can be looking for our gap fill towards
- 25:07the downside. Now we can play with the
- 25:08tape. And as you can see right there,
- 25:11Nvidia end up having that nice push
- 25:13right down in towards our gap fill level
- 25:15there on Nvidia. End up being a super
- 25:17nice scalp. That being said, let's go on
- 25:19to the live session to show you guys
- 25:21exactly what this looks like in real
- 25:23time. So, as you can see right here,
- 25:24just to give us some context, Q's, we
- 25:26had a gap fill towards the downside.
- 25:28Market is showing a lot of weakness
- 25:29here. As you can see, Q's is dropping,
- 25:31SPY is dropping, Nvidia's pulling back,
- 25:33Tesla's pulling back. Now, I'm looking
- 25:35for here on Nvidia is really this order
- 25:37block retest for this gap filled towards
- 25:39the downside. So, the Q's already filled
- 25:40its gap. SPY already filled its gap.
- 25:42Nvidia still has a gap filled towards
- 25:43the downside. So, this is the name I'm
- 25:45going to focus on to complete that full
- 25:47gap here.
- 25:51So, as you can see right here on Q's,
- 25:52we're getting that immediate retest off
- 25:54our previous day lows. We're looking for
- 25:56continuation lower. Nvidia, I mentioned,
- 25:58keep an eye out on Nvidia off this 19050
- 26:00for potential continuation lower here as
- 26:02well. Keep an eye out on the 18750 puts
- 26:05here on Nvidia off this one minute order
- 26:06block. What we like to see is big
- 26:08sellers step in.
- 26:12Yeah, I end up taking a stab as well on
- 26:14the 190s. This one has a gap filled
- 26:15towards the downside. Risk is very tight
- 26:16just above this 19050 here. We're just
- 26:17looking for this rejection and looking
- 26:18for this potential low plus this gap
- 26:19fill here. So, as you can see right
- 26:20there, I mentioned I took the 190 puts,
- 26:23super tight stop based off this one
- 26:25minute order block, weak rejection. Now,
- 26:27I'm looking for this gap fill towards
- 26:28the downside here on Nvidia.
- 26:32Yeah, about to fill this full gap here
- 26:34as well. This is your exact level. Okay,
- 26:35nice right here filled. I'm majority of
- 26:36my position. I'm just going to hold some
- 26:37trailers now, but basically that was
- 26:38your full gap fill down towards that
- 26:391887
- 26:41or very close to it. Let's see if your
- 26:42full gap. Yeah, your 1887. That's your
- 26:44key level. SP coming down. Q next level
- 26:45is actually fairly far away 604. But as
- 26:46you can see right there, super nice
- 26:48rejection there on the QQQ. Nvidia right
- 26:51off that 1 minute order block. As I
- 26:53mentioned, I scaled majority down into
- 26:55that full gap fill. End up getting
- 26:57stopped out the remaining of my trailers
- 26:59as it came back up. But right there was
- 27:01a fantastic example of using that 1
- 27:03minute order block. And with that being
- 27:05said, I hope you guys enjoyed the video
- 27:07and learned something about my strategy
- 27:09along with the three setups that I use.
- 27:11If you did, I appreciate if you guys
- 27:13drop a like and sub. That being said,
- 27:15I'll see you guys next week for a brand
- 27:16new video.
