  1. 0:00If you're looking for a complete
  2. 0:02step-by-step drop shipping tutorial,
  3. 0:04you're in the right place because today
  4. 0:05I'm going to be showing you the exact
  5. 0:07process for building a drop shipping
  6. 0:09store from scratch [music] using the
  7. 0:11latest AI and automation tools. This is
  8. 0:13going to be an all-in-one comprehensive
  9. 0:16guide. By the end of this video, you'll
  10. 0:17have a clear understanding of what drop
  11. 0:20shipping is, how to discover high demand
  12. 0:23products, how to market those products.
  13. 0:25We'll cover the exact tools that you
  14. 0:27need for drop shipping. will look at an
  15. 0:29AI tool that will help you to generate
  16. 0:31your store's layout and populate it with
  17. 0:33products that have a high demand. But
  18. 0:36even more important than that is I'm
  19. 0:38going to teach you the skill of finding
  20. 0:41these types of products for yourself and
  21. 0:44then different marketing strategies to
  22. 0:46actually start getting your first
  23. 0:47visitors. Now, with that being said,
  24. 0:50make no mistake about it, okay? Drop
  25. 0:52shipping is not a get-richquick scheme.
  26. 0:54It is going to require a significant
  27. 0:57amount of work. But this is true with
  28. 0:59basically everything in life that's
  29. 1:02worthwhile. [music]
  30. 1:02And I'm saying that because I don't want
  31. 1:04you to start drop shipping with this
  32. 1:06idea in your head that you're going to
  33. 1:08get rich overnight with this, right? No
  34. 1:11one wants to tell you that because they
  35. 1:12want you to stick around and watch their
  36. 1:14video. But I just want to be completely
  37. 1:16transparent with you. Now, with that
  38. 1:18being said, though, if you're willing to
  39. 1:20show up, put in the work, and make the
  40. 1:23sacrifices, and like actually do this,
  41. 1:26then you're already ahead of most people
  42. 1:28who start this business with the wrong
  43. 1:31mindset. So, there are really just four
  44. 1:34simple steps that you need to start drop
  45. 1:36shipping on Shopify. But before we get
  46. 1:38into those four steps, I want to take a
  47. 1:41step back and talk about step zero,
  48. 1:44which I don't really ever hear anybody
  49. 1:46talk about when it comes to drop
  50. 1:48shipping. And honestly, this information
  51. 1:49alone could be the single thing that
  52. 1:52causes you to win with drop shipping or
  53. 1:55not. So, uh there are basically two main
  54. 1:58types of drop shipping stores that you
  55. 2:00can create. Okay? You've got general
  56. 2:02stores and then you've got niche stores.
  57. 2:05And then technically there is a third
  58. 2:07option called one product stores. But in
  59. 2:10my opinion these are basically just
  60. 2:12niche stores. Also a general store
  61. 2:14though is a type of drop shipping store
  62. 2:16that really sells just about anything,
  63. 2:19right? It can sell electronics, home
  64. 2:21decor, beauty items, and pet supplies
  65. 2:25all under the same store. Okay. A niche
  66. 2:28drop shipping store though focuses on
  67. 2:30just one single product or a small niche
  68. 2:34of items that all kind of go together.
  69. 2:36And so this could be things like outdoor
  70. 2:38accessories or like a gaming console
  71. 2:41like this product right here in
  72. 2:43particular got really popular over the
  73. 2:452025 holiday season. Everybody and their
  74. 2:49mom and their brother was trying to
  75. 2:51start a drop shipping store for this
  76. 2:53specific product. Okay. Um and we'll
  77. 2:55talk about that a little bit later. Now,
  78. 2:57you'll hear a lot of people say that
  79. 2:58beginners should start a general store,
  80. 3:01okay? And the reason they say this is
  81. 3:02because it allows you to attract a wider
  82. 3:05audience and test multiple different
  83. 3:08products to see what might work.
  84. 3:10However, you'll then hear those same
  85. 3:12people say that once you've got
  86. 3:14experience, once you understand how to
  87. 3:17use the tools and all that stuff, then
  88. 3:19you should go and create a niche drop
  89. 3:22shipping store because that is where the
  90. 3:24real money is made. Okay. And [music]
  91. 3:27I've always disagreed with that advice,
  92. 3:30right? I believe that you should start a
  93. 3:32niche store at the very beginning and
  94. 3:34just jump straight into the thing that
  95. 3:37makes you the most money, right? Because
  96. 3:38you're still going to have to learn all
  97. 3:40the tools and learn all the tricks of
  98. 3:42the trade along the way. But at least
  99. 3:43you'll be doing it with the thing that
  100. 3:45you're going to be making the most money
  101. 3:47with. Does that make sense? So, let's go
  102. 3:49ahead and jump into step number one.
  103. 3:50Now, the first thing that you'll need
  104. 3:52obviously is an online store. Now, if
  105. 3:56you're watching this video, you probably
  106. 3:58already know what drop shipping is. Uh,
  107. 4:00for those of you who might need like a
  108. 4:02quick refresh, it's basically when you
  109. 4:04sell products that you never touch or
  110. 4:06even own yourself. All you're doing is
  111. 4:09building an online store and then
  112. 4:11anytime somebody buys a product on your
  113. 4:13store, your supplier will fulfill and
  114. 4:16ship that product directly to your
  115. 4:19customer for you without you having to
  116. 4:21do anything else. And so, yeah, the
  117. 4:23first thing we need is a store to
  118. 4:25actually, you know, send customers to so
  119. 4:27that they can buy things that you can
  120. 4:29drop ship. So, the first thing you're
  121. 4:30going to do is click on the link down
  122. 4:32below in the description of this video,
  123. 4:34uh, which is buildyourstore,
  124. 4:36uh.ai/joshuao,
  125. 4:39but I'll also have that linked down
  126. 4:40below as well, uh, in the pinned comment
  127. 4:42and in the description. Now, when you
  128. 4:44click that link, it's going to take you
  129. 4:46to this landing page right here. So,
  130. 4:49from this page, we're just going to
  131. 4:50click right here on build my free store,
  132. 4:53and it'll open up this right here. Enter
  133. 4:55your uh full name, your email, or your
  134. 4:57password. You can also just sign up with
  135. 4:59Google if you want, which is what I'll
  136. 5:01do. After that, uh you can just click on
  137. 5:03skip for now. We'll skip that question.
  138. 5:05And so, from this page, uh this is where
  139. 5:07you pick a niche for your store. So, you
  140. 5:09got fashion and apparel, pets,
  141. 5:11electronics, and gadgets, etc. If you're
  142. 5:13not sure about what niche you want to
  143. 5:15start your store in yet, you can click
  144. 5:17right here on I'm not sure. For this
  145. 5:18example, I'm just going to click on
  146. 5:20electronics and gadgets and then click
  147. 5:22done. And then from here, you'll choose
  148. 5:24uh banners for your homepage. So, just
  149. 5:26click on a couple of images that stand
  150. 5:28out to you and then choose done. The
  151. 5:30next step is to access Shopify. So, we
  152. 5:33have to create your Shopify account.
  153. 5:34Shopify is where the entire business
  154. 5:37exists. And so, click right here on
  155. 5:39access Shopify. Then you're going to go
  156. 5:42ahead and sign up for your free trial.
  157. 5:44Now, the good thing about signing up
  158. 5:46this way is that first you get a
  159. 5:48three-day free trial and then you get
  160. 5:50Shopify for just $1 per month for 3
  161. 5:54months. Okay? So, it's a really really
  162. 5:56good deal. So, I'm just going to enter
  163. 5:57my email in there and go ahead and uh
  164. 5:59choose a password and then click on
  165. 6:01create account. Once that's done, it's
  166. 6:03going to uh ask you to enter in your
  167. 6:05payment details. This is just so that
  168. 6:07after the 3-day trial, uh, it'll
  169. 6:09automatically start your $1 per month
  170. 6:12trial for you. And so, just go ahead and
  171. 6:13enter your credit card details here and
  172. 6:15then click subscribe for $1. And then,
  173. 6:18of course, that that $1 subscription
  174. 6:20will start after your 3-day free trial.
  175. 6:23The next step, it'll ask you to choose
  176. 6:25your plan. You don't overthink this.
  177. 6:27Just go with the basic plan. Mostly,
  178. 6:30pretty much everybody who's watching
  179. 6:31this video is they don't need anything
  180. 6:33more than the basic plan. Uh once you
  181. 6:35begin scaling, making more money, making
  182. 6:37more sales, things like that, you can
  183. 6:39scale up to a bigger plan. At the
  184. 6:41beginning, though, the basic plan is
  185. 6:42more than enough. It's going to ask you
  186. 6:44to share your business address. You can
  187. 6:46uh feel free to add this later or add it
  188. 6:48now. For the sake of this video, I'll
  189. 6:50just add this later. So, click add
  190. 6:52later. And then we're also going to
  191. 6:53click on uh skip customize setup. You
  192. 6:56can feel free to go through all those if
  193. 6:57you want. I don't think it's necessary.
  194. 6:58It's not going to change anything. And
  195. 7:00then once you're done doing that, let's
  196. 7:02go ahead and click back over to the
  197. 7:04build your store uh AI tool. That should
  198. 7:07still be open in another tab on your
  199. 7:09browser. And then we're just going to
  200. 7:10click right here on done to go to the
  201. 7:12next step. Next, it's going to ask us to
  202. 7:14link your Shopify store to this AI.
  203. 7:17Okay? So, click right here on access
  204. 7:19Shopify. Uh if you already created your
  205. 7:21Shopify account, it should just bring
  206. 7:23you back to this page here. Then, you're
  207. 7:26just going to copy this link right up
  208. 7:28here within your browser. Okay? Copy
  209. 7:30that link and then head back over to
  210. 7:32build your store and then just paste
  211. 7:33that link in there. Click on save
  212. 7:37and then click on done. Next, it's time
  213. 7:39to grab your Shopify discount. Okay, so
  214. 7:41click right here on access Shopify
  215. 7:43again. It's going to bring us over here
  216. 7:45to this page. Uh just click right here
  217. 7:47on subscribe. That's all you need to do.
  218. 7:49And once that's done, we'll just head
  219. 7:51back into build your store and then
  220. 7:53click right here on done. The next step
  221. 7:55after that is we want to install uh the
  222. 7:58build your store app onto your Shopify
  223. 8:00store. This is going to be a very
  224. 8:02important step. So, click right there on
  225. 8:04install and then we'll just install this
  226. 8:06app right here. Uh after that, it should
  227. 8:08automatically bring you back to build
  228. 8:09your store. And then you can either
  229. 8:11choose to go with the free beginner
  230. 8:14store, which costs no money to you, or
  231. 8:16you can pay $97 to go with one of the
  232. 8:19professional one product stores. It's
  233. 8:22completely up to you. For the sake of
  234. 8:23this video, we're just going to start
  235. 8:24with the free beginner store. This will
  236. 8:27give us the free Shopify theme plus 10
  237. 8:29preloaded products. But if you have the
  238. 8:31money to spend and you want like a a
  239. 8:33more customized solution built
  240. 8:35specifically for a one product or like a
  241. 8:37niche store like we talked about
  242. 8:39earlier, then it could be worth it to go
  243. 8:41with this $97 um option right here. For
  244. 8:44this video, we'll just stick with the
  245. 8:45free beginner store and then click right
  246. 8:47here on continue with the basic store
  247. 8:49and then click yes, skip, I'll do all
  248. 8:51the work myself. After that, you might
  249. 8:53get this offer pop up right here, which
  250. 8:55is instead of $97, you only have to pay
  251. 8:57$47. In that situation, I'm not trying
  252. 9:00to force you guys to spend any money uh
  253. 9:02unnecessarily, but it could be worth it
  254. 9:05to pay, you know, $47 to have a little
  255. 9:08bit more of a custom uh store built for
  256. 9:10you. And so, in this situation, I am
  257. 9:13going to actually click right here on
  258. 9:14yes, upgrade my store for $47 and then
  259. 9:18go ahead and enter my credit card
  260. 9:19details. But again, I can't emphasize
  261. 9:21this enough. You don't have to go with a
  262. 9:24paid theme if you don't want to. It's
  263. 9:26just that this is going to give us a
  264. 9:28more premium customized setup, which I
  265. 9:30think is worth it at that $47 price
  266. 9:33range. So, click right here on create my
  267. 9:36custom store, and it's going to begin
  268. 9:37customizing your Shopify store for you.
  269. 9:40So, we'll just wait for it to finish.
  270. 9:42Once that's done, it'll uh say add top
  271. 9:44selling products. And so, we have to
  272. 9:46actually begin registering with AutoDS.
  273. 9:49AutoDS is the drop shipping uh
  274. 9:51fulfillment platform that we'll be using
  275. 9:53to kind of automate and help us with
  276. 9:55fulfillment of the drop shipping
  277. 9:57products. So, click right here on
  278. 9:59register to AutoDS. Once you uh sign up,
  279. 10:01it's going to ask you to select your
  280. 10:03selling channel. For this, we'll click
  281. 10:05on Shopify and then we're going to
  282. 10:07choose a plan uh to continue with. So,
  283. 10:09basically, there's three different
  284. 10:10plans. Again, kind of similar with the
  285. 10:12Shopify plan. I would recommend you just
  286. 10:14start with the lowest plan, which is the
  287. 10:16import 200. It's only $20 per month if
  288. 10:20you pay annually and $27 per month if
  289. 10:23you pay monthtomonth. So, it's not
  290. 10:25really that expensive. You'll get your
  291. 10:26first month for only 99 though, so you
  292. 10:29can give it a try to see if you like it.
  293. 10:31Uh, so we'll stick with the monthly. And
  294. 10:33so, under the import 200, just click on
  295. 10:35start now for 99. And again, enter your
  296. 10:38credit card details and then sign up.
  297. 10:40Now, you might be thinking to yourself
  298. 10:41right now, Joshua, it seems like we're
  299. 10:42signing up for a ton of different
  300. 10:44subscriptions and softwares and things
  301. 10:46like that. That this is the cost of
  302. 10:48doing business with drop shipping. You
  303. 10:50have to have these tools because these
  304. 10:53tools are what make it even possible in
  305. 10:55the first place for you to do this
  306. 10:57business. Okay? It's a very very small
  307. 10:59price to pay all of these tools and
  308. 11:01there's not even a lot. We have Shopify
  309. 11:03and AutoDS, right? Those are the only
  310. 11:05two tools that we that we've paid for so
  311. 11:07far. Between those two tools and we
  312. 11:08upgraded to a more premium theme with
  313. 11:11Build Your Store, it's not a lot of
  314. 11:13money to spend for something that has
  315. 11:15the potential to scale to a massive
  316. 11:18level. Okay. Uh so the monthly expenses
  317. 11:20are not going to be that crazy. Plus,
  318. 11:22we've got the free months, the free
  319. 11:23trials, all that stuff so that we can
  320. 11:25test the waters. So once that's all
  321. 11:27done, I'm going to click X-ray here to
  322. 11:29exit out. And you should land on the uh
  323. 11:32the AutoDS dashboard. once this is
  324. 11:34finished loading. So after that, you'll
  325. 11:35land on this page right here. It says,
  326. 11:37"Hi Joshua Mayo, connect your Shopify
  327. 11:38store to AutoDS." It'll give you three
  328. 11:40options. Um we're going to click right
  329. 11:42here on the first option. I have a
  330. 11:43Shopify store connected to AutoDS
  331. 11:46because the build your store AI has
  332. 11:48already created the Shopify store for
  333. 11:50us, right? So we technically do have a
  334. 11:53store ready. So we'll just click on that
  335. 11:55and then continue. And then it should
  336. 11:57take you to this page right here that
  337. 11:58says install. So, we'll install the
  338. 12:01AutoDS plugin and then click install
  339. 12:04again. And this is going to connect the
  340. 12:06drop shipping software AutoDS to our
  341. 12:09Shopify store to make it possible to
  342. 12:12even drop ship in the first place. Once
  343. 12:13you do that, you'll land on the AutoDS
  344. 12:16dashboard. Okay? And you can feel free
  345. 12:17to kind of go through this platform by
  346. 12:19yourself and learn how where everything
  347. 12:22is and learn how things work and stuff.
  348. 12:24Really the key places you'll want to be
  349. 12:25looking though are the marketplace which
  350. 12:27will show you all of the different drop
  351. 12:29shipping products that AutoDS has ready
  352. 12:31to import into your store and start
  353. 12:33selling immediately. Um and then we'll
  354. 12:35talk about the sourcing request which is
  355. 12:37another very important um part of the
  356. 12:40platform. Once you're done signing up,
  357. 12:41head back over to build your store and
  358. 12:43click right here on done. And then from
  359. 12:45here we can click right here on access
  360. 12:48my store and it'll take us to our new
  361. 12:51store. Now, I think that it is it was
  362. 12:54worth it to pay for this premium upgrade
  363. 12:56because this store looks incredible. You
  364. 12:59can see that the focus, ironically, is
  365. 13:01on this um this this uh portable vacuum,
  366. 13:05which is a very popular product. We saw
  367. 13:07this all over Tik Tok and even Amazon.
  368. 13:09And you can see it sets up this really
  369. 13:11really cool like bundle and save feature
  370. 13:13here where if you buy more of these
  371. 13:15vacuums, you'll save more. This
  372. 13:16obviously encourages, you know,
  373. 13:18upselling and like getting more units
  374. 13:20sold per customer. Um, but if we scroll
  375. 13:22down, you can see all these other
  376. 13:24details and we can obviously edit all of
  377. 13:26this. We can add sections and stuff.
  378. 13:28We'll talk about that in a little bit.
  379. 13:30But I think that it was worth it to pay
  380. 13:31$47 to have a more custom store compared
  381. 13:35to one that is just going to give us 10
  382. 13:37different products and we have to kind
  383. 13:38of um navigate those products and choose
  384. 13:40which ones we want to sell versus having
  385. 13:42just one product selected for us. I
  386. 13:45think that's a game changer. Um, and so
  387. 13:47anyways, we'll head back over to build
  388. 13:49your store. Click on done. And a really
  389. 13:52cool feature here that they just
  390. 13:54recently added was you can now create
  391. 13:56these viral videos using like UGC AI
  392. 14:01avatars. I mean, it's it's incredible
  393. 14:03how this works. So, I'm going to click
  394. 14:05right here on generate my first video
  395. 14:07because I want to show you how cool this
  396. 14:09technology actually is. It's going to
  397. 14:10bring us over here to this create UGC
  398. 14:13page. And this what I'm going to show
  399. 14:15you here will make a lot more sense
  400. 14:17later on when we talk about how to
  401. 14:20actually market your drop shipping
  402. 14:22store. You'll be able to see how you can
  403. 14:24use this platform right here for your
  404. 14:27marketing purposes. But anyways, yeah,
  405. 14:29there you have it. There's your store
  406. 14:31right there. We can click right here on
  407. 14:33buy now and you can see that it's built
  408. 14:34us this impressive uh one product aka
  409. 14:38niche store. And I think this looks very
  410. 14:41very good. Every single successful drop
  411. 14:43shipping store that I've seen over the
  412. 14:45past like 2 years uses this exact setup
  413. 14:48where they've got these this bundle
  414. 14:50option right here. They've got details
  415. 14:52and high-quality images of the photo.
  416. 14:55They've got all this different
  417. 14:56information and customer reviews and all
  418. 14:58that stuff. And you know, like I said,
  419. 15:00of course, we can go through and
  420. 15:01customize any of this stuff using the
  421. 15:03built-in Shopify editor, which I'll show
  422. 15:05you how to do soon. But there it is.
  423. 15:07There's your store. And it was all built
  424. 15:09for us in just a few minutes. But yeah,
  425. 15:11we'll go through this platform in a
  426. 15:13little bit more detail once we actually
  427. 15:15find or begin searching for the drop
  428. 15:18shipping product that we want to sell.
  429. 15:20All right. Now, the next step, step
  430. 15:21number two, is we actually have to
  431. 15:23decide on a product uh to sell in your
  432. 15:26store, right? And to be honest with you,
  433. 15:28this really is the hardest part of the
  434. 15:30entire drop shipping business in my
  435. 15:32[music] opinion, right? But I don't want
  436. 15:33you to overthink this process because
  437. 15:35after I break all of this down, I
  438. 15:37promise you, you'll completely
  439. 15:39understand how this works. Now, you
  440. 15:41might be wondering, Joshua, why are we
  441. 15:44going to find a new product if our AI
  442. 15:47built store already has preloaded
  443. 15:49winning products in it? Like, shouldn't
  444. 15:52I just sell those ones? Well, you
  445. 15:53certainly can choose, you know, one of
  446. 15:56those pre-loaded products to sell.
  447. 15:57That's totally fine. But regardless, you
  448. 16:00still need to learn how to like the art
  449. 16:02of actually finding and validating new
  450. 16:05product ideas as well. Okay? It's kind
  451. 16:08of the same idea of give a man a fish,
  452. 16:09he'll eat for a day. Teach him how to
  453. 16:12fish, he'll eat the rest of his life,
  454. 16:14right? Uh so it's it's that same
  455. 16:16philosophy. We have to teach you how to
  456. 16:18actually research and validate products
  457. 16:20so that you can do this again and again
  458. 16:23for yourself in the future. And so this
  459. 16:26step is probably going to be the most
  460. 16:27important in this video. So I would pay
  461. 16:29very close attention. Now the most
  462. 16:31common question that I get when it comes
  463. 16:32to drop shipping is Joshua, I want to
  464. 16:36start drop shipping, but I don't know
  465. 16:38what niche or product to choose. And my
  466. 16:41answer to that question is always the
  467. 16:43exact same. First of all, don't
  468. 16:45overthink it. Okay? Uh, second of all, I
  469. 16:48want you to remember that just because a
  470. 16:50product is hot or trending right now
  471. 16:53does not mean it will make you money.
  472. 16:55People have this tendency when they
  473. 16:57start drop shipping to look at products
  474. 16:59that are like really trendy or like just
  475. 17:02really hot right now and they'll start
  476. 17:03trying to drop ship those products. A
  477. 17:06perfect example of this, I'll refer back
  478. 17:08to this, was this really cool gaming
  479. 17:11console right here. This thing's got
  480. 17:12over 21,000 games on it. It's got GTA,
  481. 17:17all of the old PlayStation games, pretty
  482. 17:19much every popular console. Um, all the
  483. 17:23games are on this device right here,
  484. 17:24right? And this product was extremely
  485. 17:27hot during the 2025 holiday season.
  486. 17:29However, because it was so trendy,
  487. 17:32everybody was trying to drop ship it and
  488. 17:34therefore there was not a lot of money
  489. 17:36to be made because the market just got
  490. 17:38way too saturated. So, with that being
  491. 17:40said, how do you find a winning product
  492. 17:43to begin selling for your drop shipping
  493. 17:46store? Well, any niche or product you
  494. 17:48choose needs to make sense in three
  495. 17:50different ways. You can kind of treat
  496. 17:51these three things as your criteria. The
  497. 17:54first criteria is that the product needs
  498. 17:56to be in demand. People already need to
  499. 17:59be buying this type of product. We're
  500. 18:01not trying to convince the market that
  501. 18:03something should exist. We are just
  502. 18:06tapping into demand that's already
  503. 18:09there. Second, it needs to make money.
  504. 18:11That might be obvious, but if the
  505. 18:12margins don't work, nothing else
  506. 18:15matters. As a general rule that you can
  507. 18:17follow, you want to make sure to price
  508. 18:19the product that you're going to sell at
  509. 18:21least two and a half times or like
  510. 18:23between two and three times the cost uh
  511. 18:26of the product so that you have room for
  512. 18:28profit and marketing if you're doing
  513. 18:31paid ads. And the third criteria is I
  514. 18:34personally like products that have some
  515. 18:36longevity to them. These are called
  516. 18:38evergreen products. And so things that
  517. 18:40solve a real problem or fulfill an
  518. 18:43ongoing desire, not just something that
  519. 18:46spikes for a few weeks during Christmas
  520. 18:49and then, you know, disappears after the
  521. 18:52holiday season is over. Now, don't get
  522. 18:53me wrong, okay? selling trendy products
  523. 18:56absolutely can work and you can make a
  524. 18:58lot of money doing it. But the thing is
  525. 19:00is that you have to time them absolutely
  526. 19:03perfectly right before everybody else
  527. 19:06starts jumping on the bandwagon and
  528. 19:08trying to run ads for it and trying to
  529. 19:10build their own landing page for it and
  530. 19:11trying to drop ship this one product
  531. 19:13before the market gets too saturated.
  532. 19:15And so you have to time it absolutely
  533. 19:17perfectly. And honestly, sometimes that
  534. 19:20just means being lucky. I hate to say
  535. 19:22it, but it's it's true. But the good
  536. 19:24news is that you don't have to be lucky
  537. 19:26to win with drop shipping. And this is
  538. 19:28why I like evergreen products so much
  539. 19:31because they've got the longevity. They
  540. 19:32end up working out for you better long
  541. 19:34term because people always need those
  542. 19:37products year round. And so with those
  543. 19:40three uh things in mind, that three
  544. 19:42criteria, now it's time to actually
  545. 19:44begin doing some product research. Now
  546. 19:47the goal of product research is very
  547. 19:49simple. The goal is to first find a
  548. 19:52product. and I'll show you how to do
  549. 19:54that. But then we need to validate that
  550. 19:56product. And I'll show you how to do
  551. 19:58that as well. And the good thing is that
  552. 20:00you don't need any fancy tools to do
  553. 20:02this. Basically, we're just going to
  554. 20:04look around using some free tools to see
  555. 20:06what other people are having success
  556. 20:08selling. And this will help to kind of
  557. 20:10give us an idea for what we can sell.
  558. 20:12And the first place that I would check
  559. 20:14personally is the Tik Tok creative
  560. 20:17center. So this right here is the Tik
  561. 20:18Tok creative center. And if you just go
  562. 20:20to Google and type in Tik Tok Creative
  563. 20:22Center, this will pop up right here with
  564. 20:24the first link. So basically with this,
  565. 20:26it's pretty cool. You don't even have to
  566. 20:27sign into an account to use this. But um
  567. 20:30it just basically shows you all of the
  568. 20:32top like trending ads and like products
  569. 20:35that are working on Tik Tok shop. Now,
  570. 20:37the reason we're referring to Tik Tok
  571. 20:40shop is because um oftent times drop
  572. 20:42shippers will first of all they'll drop
  573. 20:44ship using Tik Tok shop, but also
  574. 20:46they'll just use it to find inspiration
  575. 20:48because if people are buying things on
  576. 20:50Tik Tok shop, then chances are those are
  577. 20:53going to be good products to drop ship
  578. 20:55as well. And so from here, the first
  579. 20:57place that I would look is right here
  580. 20:58under inspiration and then click on top
  581. 21:01ads. And so there's a few ways you can
  582. 21:02go about this. The first way is you can
  583. 21:04search uh using the top ads dashboard.
  584. 21:07And so you can like filter through these
  585. 21:08different options. You can filter by the
  586. 21:10country by the industry. You got like
  587. 21:13you know apparel and accessories,
  588. 21:14appliances, baby, kids and maternity,
  589. 21:17you know, education, games, all these
  590. 21:20different um industries or categories.
  591. 21:22You can filter by objective. And when
  592. 21:24you filter, it'll show you different ads
  593. 21:27uh based on those filters, right? Uh the
  594. 21:30other way that you can search is just
  595. 21:31looking at the top ad spotlight. And so
  596. 21:34like for example, if we scroll down
  597. 21:35here, we can see that this it looks like
  598. 21:37some kind of projector. Um has performed
  599. 21:40extremely well. So yeah, it's it's
  600. 21:42basically just a projector that you can
  601. 21:44like lay on your bed and it'll project
  602. 21:46onto your onto your um ceiling for you
  603. 21:48to watch shows, which is pretty cool, or
  604. 21:51play games. And so this is getting a ton
  605. 21:54of likes and a ton of engagement on Tik
  606. 21:57Tok. And so you could look at that and
  607. 21:59say, you know what, that could be a
  608. 22:00product that we could end up drop
  609. 22:02shipping, right? If we click on see
  610. 22:03analytics, it'll show us even more
  611. 22:05details. It'll also show us like
  612. 22:07different ads that people have ran that
  613. 22:09are similar to this projector ad right
  614. 22:12here. So that's one way to use the Tik
  615. 22:13Tok creative center. Another way is to
  616. 22:16go back to inspiration and then click on
  617. 22:18top product. And then from here, same
  618. 22:20thing. You can filter by the country,
  619. 22:21you can filter by the product. And so
  620. 22:23let's just say that we wanted to filter
  621. 22:25by, I don't know, maybe household
  622. 22:28appliances. And then we'll do last seven
  623. 22:31days. Let's change this to last 30 days
  624. 22:33just to give us a little bit broader of
  625. 22:35a horizon. So you can see right here,
  626. 22:36air purifiers, uh, vacuum cleaners,
  627. 22:39juicers, and blenders. All these things
  628. 22:41are are popular household products that
  629. 22:43are selling really well on Tik Tok shop
  630. 22:45right now. If we were to click, for
  631. 22:47example, on air purifiers, or maybe
  632. 22:49we'll do vacuum cleaners and sweepers,
  633. 22:51we'll click on details right here. It's
  634. 22:53going to show us some more details about
  635. 22:55it, but also if you scroll down, you'll
  636. 22:57see related videos that people have have
  637. 22:59posted about different vacuum cleaners
  638. 23:01that they're drop shipping on Tik Tok
  639. 23:04shop, right? And so, like, if we click
  640. 23:06on this one, for example, that's for a
  641. 23:08mop. It's like a duster mop. But in any
  642. 23:10any case, any case, I'm not going to
  643. 23:11watch the video. The point though is
  644. 23:13that you can look at these videos. You
  645. 23:15can get ideas first of all for, you
  646. 23:17know, making your own organic ads on Tik
  647. 23:19Tok, but you can also just see what
  648. 23:21products they're selling and you can see
  649. 23:23if they're selling a lot of that
  650. 23:24product. If there's getting if the
  651. 23:26videos are getting a lot of engagement,
  652. 23:28that can be an indication to you that
  653. 23:30that's going to be a product that you
  654. 23:31could try drop shipping yourself. And so
  655. 23:34this is a very very powerful and free
  656. 23:36tool that you can use to get ideas and
  657. 23:38insight for you know products that you
  658. 23:40can drop ship on your own store. Now
  659. 23:42something else you can do is sign up for
  660. 23:44the Tik Tok creator affiliate program.
  661. 23:47And I'll explain why you should do this
  662. 23:48in a second. Uh but signing up for this
  663. 23:50program literally takes 10 seconds. I've
  664. 23:53got an entire video on my channel that
  665. 23:55walks you through this entire process.
  666. 23:56I'll leave that down in the uh
  667. 23:58description below if you want to watch
  668. 23:59it. But once you join the affiliate
  669. 24:01program, you'll get access to this kind
  670. 24:03of dashboard area here that gives you a
  671. 24:05ton of valuable information that you can
  672. 24:07use to figure out what you might want to
  673. 24:09drop ship yourself. And so we can just
  674. 24:11scroll through this dashboard of
  675. 24:12products here and just get a ton of like
  676. 24:15really useful information. Like we can
  677. 24:16see how many times the product has sold,
  678. 24:18kind of what the average price it's
  679. 24:20selling for. Uh look at this right here.
  680. 24:22This is the gaming device that I have
  681. 24:24right here. And you can see right here
  682. 24:26it's being sold on Tik Tok shop. It's
  683. 24:28sold over 80,000 times, you know,
  684. 24:30through different Tik Tok shop affiliate
  685. 24:32sellers. But in any case, one product in
  686. 24:35particular that I keep seeing pop up
  687. 24:37that is getting a ton of sales are these
  688. 24:40little mini like leaf blower things,
  689. 24:43right? You can see this one right here
  690. 24:44has sold almost 200,000
  691. 24:48times. That [music] is a really big
  692. 24:50deal. And so that is something that we
  693. 24:52could potentially start trying to drop
  694. 24:54ship ourself. And so we can click on
  695. 24:56this product right here just to kind of
  696. 24:57get some more info on it. We can see the
  697. 24:59price range for what wear typically
  698. 25:01sells at. We can scroll down some more.
  699. 25:03We can see videos that people have
  700. 25:05posted of them like using the product
  701. 25:07and like promoting the product for
  702. 25:08themselves to to sell. So once again,
  703. 25:10this can give you an idea for the type
  704. 25:13of video that you could make the like
  705. 25:15the organic ad that you can post on Tik
  706. 25:17Tok to bring sales to your drop shipping
  707. 25:20store. This is a perfect example and
  708. 25:22there's tons of videos like this being
  709. 25:24posted. Okay. And so yeah, uh for my
  710. 25:26drop shipping store that I'm starting in
  711. 25:28this video, I'm just going to drop ship
  712. 25:29a product that is similar to this one or
  713. 25:32this exact one if I can find it. And so
  714. 25:34you can see Tik Tok shop affiliates
  715. 25:36dashboard is a really good resource to
  716. 25:38use to find products that you can sell,
  717. 25:41but also then to research those same
  718. 25:44products. So that's another place. Um
  719. 25:46another really great place that you
  720. 25:47should be checking is Google Trends.
  721. 25:49Whenever I have like one or two products
  722. 25:52that I'm considering drop shipping, I'll
  723. 25:54head over to Google Trends and then
  724. 25:57search for that product within Google
  725. 25:59Trends. Now, the goal of Google Trends
  726. 26:01is to see if that product or if the the
  727. 26:05category of products that that product
  728. 26:07exist in is trending up or trending down
  729. 26:10or maybe just going sideways. And so for
  730. 26:12this, I'll type in mini leaf blower
  731. 26:15because that's kind of the general
  732. 26:16category of the product that is being
  733. 26:18sold. And I'm going to go maybe to the
  734. 26:21last month to see how this is uh
  735. 26:24trending. And so you can see right here
  736. 26:27starting at the top of this year, it had
  737. 26:29a huge spike in interest, [music] which
  738. 26:32is a really good sign. Now, I want to go
  739. 26:33back a little bit further, like the past
  740. 26:35year, to see if it's overall trending up
  741. 26:38or going kind of sideways. So you can
  742. 26:40see over the past year it's got very
  743. 26:43consistent like interest which is a good
  744. 26:45sign. That's what we want because that's
  745. 26:47what you want out of an evergreen
  746. 26:49product is just kind of like almost a
  747. 26:51flat line of consistent interest year
  748. 26:53round. Now if it spikes up like this
  749. 26:56occasionally that's totally fine. That's
  750. 26:58that's good. That means you know that
  751. 27:00you can make extra money during that
  752. 27:01season. But overall we can see that this
  753. 27:04product right here is not going up on
  754. 27:06average. It's not going down over time.
  755. 27:09it's just kind of staying straight. And
  756. 27:11we can even zoom out to see over the
  757. 27:13past 5 years if it's doing the same
  758. 27:15thing. And that kind of remains true.
  759. 27:17Like over time it is going up a little
  760. 27:19bit I would say, but for the most part
  761. 27:22it's a pretty flat line which is
  762. 27:24absolutely perfect for um evergreen
  763. 27:27products. And so Google Trends kind of
  764. 27:29helps to validate our product idea
  765. 27:31because we can see with real live data
  766. 27:34pulled directly from Google that this
  767. 27:35product does have interest over time.
  768. 27:38Okay. Now, the final place that I would
  769. 27:40check even after all of that, even after
  770. 27:42you validate it with Google Trends, I
  771. 27:44would also check amazon.com. So, I would
  772. 27:46go into Amazon and then just type in the
  773. 27:49name of the product that you are
  774. 27:50interested in drop shipping. And so, in
  775. 27:53this case, we'll go into Amazon and type
  776. 27:55in mini uh leaf blower. And really, the
  777. 27:57goal here is to see once again, is this
  778. 28:00product actually selling? Because, you
  779. 28:02know, we got Tik Tok shop. We can see
  780. 28:03that people are buying this product on
  781. 28:05Tik Tok shop. What about Amazon? because
  782. 28:07Amazon is another massive e-commerce
  783. 28:09platform that people are constantly
  784. 28:11shopping on. And so if people are buying
  785. 28:13this product on Amazon.com as well, it
  786. 28:16just kind of helps to validate to us
  787. 28:17that this is broadly speaking a popular
  788. 28:21product that people are constantly
  789. 28:22looking for. And so we can see right
  790. 28:24here the first one on the list of 5,000
  791. 28:26plus people bought this mini leaf blower
  792. 28:29last month. Right? We can keep scrolling
  793. 28:31down here. We got one right here that's
  794. 28:334,000 plus people. Um, even 300 plus
  795. 28:36people is still good. So, we can keep
  796. 28:38scrolling down here. You can see all
  797. 28:39these different leaf blowers. Some have
  798. 28:41more sales than others. This one right
  799. 28:43here, gosh, has 40,000 plus people
  800. 28:46bought this one in the past month.
  801. 28:48That's that's insane. Okay. And so, I
  802. 28:52think that that pretty much validates it
  803. 28:54that this is a product that we could
  804. 28:56absolutely sell on our drop shipping
  805. 28:58store. And so, we were able to discover
  806. 29:01this product using Tik Tok shop. and you
  807. 29:03know the Tik Tok creative platform and
  808. 29:06then we were able to validate it also
  809. 29:09using Tik Tok shop affiliates platform
  810. 29:11uh Google trends and then now Amazon
  811. 29:14right and so I think it's safe to say
  812. 29:15that this is a product that we could
  813. 29:17absolutely have success drop shipping
  814. 29:19now I want to say something really quick
  815. 29:21as clearly as I possibly can so that you
  816. 29:24don't get stuck with you know analysis
  817. 29:26paralysis trying to find like the
  818. 29:27perfect product or something drop
  819. 29:29shipping is not about trying to find the
  820. 29:31perfect product Some products won't work
  821. 29:35and that's fine. That's normal. Even
  822. 29:37after your research, right? Even after
  823. 29:40validating the idea with data and stuff
  824. 29:42like that, you might start drop shipping
  825. 29:44it and it might not work. And that's
  826. 29:46normal. That's okay. You only need to
  827. 29:49find one or two winners to build
  828. 29:51something real, to make a lot of money,
  829. 29:54and to build something that is going to
  830. 29:55last, right? And so I wouldn't get stuck
  831. 29:58in analysis paralysis trying to find the
  832. 30:00most perfect product that has ever
  833. 30:02existed because you're probably not
  834. 30:04going to find it. Pick something that
  835. 30:06just makes sense that you would say to
  836. 30:08yourself like, "Yeah, sure. I would buy
  837. 30:10that." Make sure that there's demand for
  838. 30:12it and that there's actually margin to
  839. 30:14make money with it, right? Make sure it
  840. 30:15follows the three criteria that we
  841. 30:17talked about earlier. And then if it
  842. 30:19does and you've done the research and
  843. 30:21you validated the idea and it looks
  844. 30:23good, just move forward with it. And
  845. 30:26that actually brings us to step number
  846. 30:27three. And step number three is all
  847. 30:29about product fulfillment. We have to
  848. 30:31make sure that the product you are
  849. 30:33selling actually gets delivered to the
  850. 30:36customer uh once they start buying it
  851. 30:38from your store. And this is where
  852. 30:40AutoDS comes in because remember as a
  853. 30:42drop shipper you the drop shipper are
  854. 30:45not handling the product at all. Right?
  855. 30:48Because your only responsibility is
  856. 30:50finding good products to sell in the
  857. 30:53first place and then getting those
  858. 30:55products in front of people with videos,
  859. 30:58organic content on social media or paid
  860. 31:01ads or whatever. Getting those products
  861. 31:03in front of people and convincing them
  862. 31:05to buy the product. And then when they
  863. 31:08buy the product from your store, AutoDS
  864. 31:10will fulfill that product for you. And
  865. 31:12so this means they'll contact the
  866. 31:14supplier, have the supplier prepare the
  867. 31:17order, ship the order to your customer
  868. 31:19in a timely manner, and really just take
  869. 31:21care of all of the back-end stuff for
  870. 31:24you. And so we're back in this dashboard
  871. 31:26now, and let me just really quickly run
  872. 31:28through this tool so that you can see
  873. 31:29how amazing it is. This right here is
  874. 31:32the marketplace. This is where you can
  875. 31:34browse for new products to sell, kind of
  876. 31:37discover new ideas, and things like
  877. 31:39that. AutoDS has an insane amount of
  878. 31:42products that you can import into your
  879. 31:44store right now and start selling. Now,
  880. 31:47with these products, I would pay
  881. 31:48attention to the price of the product
  882. 31:50and also the shipping time. Usually, if
  883. 31:53the product has a very long shipping
  884. 31:55time, it's simply not worth your time to
  885. 31:58try and sell it. Now, you could always
  886. 32:01try and find a supplier with a better
  887. 32:02shipping time, and we'll talk about how
  888. 32:04to do that in a second. But overall, you
  889. 32:06definitely don't want the shipping time
  890. 32:07to be like over a week on any product
  891. 32:10that you're selling. That would just
  892. 32:11take way too long to get to the buyer,
  893. 32:13and you'll end up getting a ton of
  894. 32:14complaints. But anyways, you can also
  895. 32:16filter the product by different
  896. 32:18categories if you want, and you can sort
  897. 32:19by things like best sellers or fast
  898. 32:22shipping, or you can just search for a
  899. 32:24specific product if you already have a
  900. 32:26product in mind that you want to start
  901. 32:28selling. And so let's just say for
  902. 32:29example that we wanted to start selling
  903. 32:31the mini leaf blower, right? I could
  904. 32:33come in here and I could search for mini
  905. 32:36uh leaf blower and see what options pop
  906. 32:38up here. Now if I didn't see the exact
  907. 32:41leaf blower that I wanted to start drop
  908. 32:43shipping on my store or whatever product
  909. 32:45you were trying to sell, if you didn't
  910. 32:47see it in the marketplace here, you can
  911. 32:49come over here to the side and click on
  912. 32:52sourcing request. This is a very, very
  913. 32:55powerful feature that basically lets you
  914. 32:58tell AutoDS what product you're looking
  915. 33:00for and their team goes out and finds a
  916. 33:04supplier for you, usually with better
  917. 33:06pricing and faster shipping. And so,
  918. 33:09yeah, you can use this feature if you
  919. 33:11want AutoDS to source a specific product
  920. 33:13for you. And so, yeah, so let's just say
  921. 33:15for the sake of this example, I wanted
  922. 33:17to start drop shipping these mini uh
  923. 33:19leaf blowers. I'm basically just looking
  924. 33:21for one within the marketplace here that
  925. 33:23is decently priced and has a shorter
  926. 33:26shipping time, right? And just overall,
  927. 33:29it looks like a good mini leaf blower.
  928. 33:31And so I like the way this one looks
  929. 33:33right here. The pricing looks good. It
  930. 33:35looks like the margins will work and the
  931. 33:37shipping time is relatively short. And
  932. 33:39you can see right here that AutoDS shows
  933. 33:41us the item cost as well as the shipping
  934. 33:43price and the shipping and processing
  935. 33:46time, which is very low, which is good.
  936. 33:49That's what we want. We've also got some
  937. 33:50good product photos right here that we
  938. 33:52can use for our drop shipping store, a
  939. 33:55detailed product description, and
  940. 33:57everything here is pretty much already
  941. 33:59done for us. The only thing we have to
  942. 34:01do now is import this product into our
  943. 34:04store. Plus, this brand is the same one
  944. 34:06that we saw being sold on Tik Tok, the C
  945. 34:09ceay or however you pronounce that. So,
  946. 34:12we're just going to click right here on
  947. 34:13import uh draft. And then it's going to
  948. 34:16say that items added to drafts. And then
  949. 34:18we'll just click here to track the
  950. 34:20progress. So you can see it's uh
  951. 34:22currently creating the draft. And so
  952. 34:23we'll just wait for this to finish. And
  953. 34:25then once it's done, we'll come back.
  954. 34:27Once that's done, all you have to do is
  955. 34:28click right here on import. And it'll
  956. 34:30begin importing this product into your
  957. 34:33Shopify store. So um once it's done,
  958. 34:36it'll say products have been imported
  959. 34:38and then click on view. You can see that
  960. 34:41we got these two products now in our
  961. 34:42store. The vacuum cleaner and the uh
  962. 34:46leaf the mini leaf blower. Okay. So,
  963. 34:47obviously the vacuum cleaner was the
  964. 34:49product that Builder Store chose for us
  965. 34:51and added into our store. Like I said
  966. 34:54earlier, you can feel free to use that
  967. 34:56product if you want. It's a product that
  968. 34:58they chose based on their internal
  969. 35:00research and their internal data. And
  970. 35:03so, they know that this is probably a
  971. 35:04good product that it's a winning product
  972. 35:06that you can sell. But, we're just going
  973. 35:08to go ahead and switch over our store to
  974. 35:10begin selling this mini leaf blower
  975. 35:13instead. And so now we're going to
  976. 35:15transition into the part where I show
  977. 35:16you how to actually edit your Shopify
  978. 35:18store. So I'm going to head back into
  979. 35:20Shopify really quick. Click right here
  980. 35:22on products. So you can see that we now
  981. 35:24have this new product that was added
  982. 35:26from AutoDS. And yeah, but let's talk
  983. 35:28about how to actually edit your store
  984. 35:30though. So to edit your store from the
  985. 35:32main Shopify uh homepage, you'll click
  986. 35:35right here where it says online store
  987. 35:37and then you should land on themes. And
  988. 35:39if you click right here on edit theme,
  989. 35:41it's going to bring you into the Shopify
  990. 35:44editor. So the Shopify editor is a drag
  991. 35:47and drop page builder. That means that
  992. 35:50anything that you hover on, if you click
  993. 35:52on it, you'll have access to edit that
  994. 35:54information on that page. So let's just
  995. 35:56say for example, we wanted to change the
  996. 35:58info within this top banner up here. All
  997. 36:00we have to do is hover over the top
  998. 36:03banner, click anywhere in the top
  999. 36:04banner, and then right here in this left
1000. 36:06sidebar, you can see that we can change
1001. 36:08the heading text to be anything that we
1002. 36:12want with terrible spelling. We can
1003. 36:14change the subheading text, the uh
1004. 36:16button text, the button link. We can
1005. 36:18change the background image right here.
1006. 36:20So, if we click on change, we can either
1007. 36:22select our own custom image or we can
1008. 36:25explore free images that come with
1009. 36:28Shopify. So, you can either just scroll
1010. 36:29through the different categories here,
1011. 36:31or if you had a specific stock image
1012. 36:33that you had in mind, like let's just
1013. 36:35say, for example, we typed in living
1014. 36:37room. You can see all these different
1015. 36:39living room images pop up. Perhaps I
1016. 36:41want to add this one into my banner. And
1017. 36:44so, it adds that image right there, just
1018. 36:45like that. And then we'll click right
1019. 36:47here on select to confirm our selection.
1020. 36:49And yeah, so anything that you want to
1021. 36:51make changes to, you just click into it
1022. 36:53and then you adjust it in this left
1023. 36:54sidebar over here. Once you're done with
1024. 36:56the edits, you'll click up here on save.
1025. 36:59Okay. If you want to go to a different
1026. 37:02page, all you have to do is come up here
1027. 37:03to this top dropdown right here. And
1028. 37:06right now, we're on the homepage. But
1029. 37:07let's just say, for example, we wanted
1030. 37:09to edit the default product page. We'll
1031. 37:11just click into products, select default
1032. 37:14product, and it's going to take us to
1033. 37:16our product page right here. And there
1034. 37:18is the um mini leaf blower that we just
1035. 37:21imported from AutoDS. So, kind of the
1036. 37:24same theory here, right? Anything you
1037. 37:25want to update, just click on it and the
1038. 37:28options for that section will be will
1039. 37:30appear over here in this left sidebar.
1040. 37:33So you want to change uh info for the
1041. 37:35title right here. Click on it, settings
1042. 37:38in the left. You want to change info for
1043. 37:39the quantity selector, you click it and
1044. 37:42the info will be available in the left.
1045. 37:44Let's just say you wanted to add a new
  1046. 37:47section. Perhaps you wanted a section
1047. 37:48underneath the main section right here
1048. 37:51that shows perhaps more images of
1049. 37:54somebody using the the leaf blower or
1050. 37:56like a video or something. All you have
1051. 37:58to do is when you hover in between two
  1052. 38:00sections, there's going to be this
1053. 38:02option here that says add section. If
1054. 38:04you click on that, it's going to open up
1055. 38:06a list of different sections that you
1056. 38:08can add. And the cool thing about this
  1057. 38:10is that these are all pre-built
1058. 38:12sections. And so let's just say for
1059. 38:14example, like I mentioned, we wanted to
  1060. 38:16add a video. I'll click on video. Just
1061. 38:19going to drop that section in there. And
1062. 38:21all we have to do from this point is
1063. 38:23click on that section. We can add our
1064. 38:25video. And just like that, the video
1065. 38:27will be added onto our page. And once
  1066. 38:29you're done with your changes, you'll
1067. 38:30click right here on save. Okay. And all
1068. 38:33of these once you save it, all the
1069. 38:35changes will now be live on your
  1070. 38:37website. And so yeah, that's basically
1071. 38:39how you edit Shopify. It's very, very
  1072. 38:41straightforward. Let's go back to the
1073. 38:43main Shopify dashboard really quick and
1074. 38:45just talk about a couple of small
1075. 38:46things, a couple of small details here.
1076. 38:48Okay, so I want to really quickly point
1077. 38:50out that when you are ready to launch
  1078. 38:52your Shopify store, like you've
  1079. 38:54customized it, you've got your product
1080. 38:56selected, you've done all the things you
1081. 38:57want to do to it, you want to make sure
1082. 38:59that you first make your store live.
1083. 39:01Okay. So, the way you do this is on your
  1084. 39:04main dashboard, you'll see this option,
1085. 39:06this this notice right here that says
1086. 39:08password protected. To remove the
1087. 39:10password, add a store address. So, the
1088. 39:13first thing you have to do is click
1089. 39:14right here on add the store address. And
1090. 39:16if you have not already done this, you
1091. 39:18have to add your business address. Okay?
1092. 39:20Um, your business address is typically
1093. 39:23going to be your home address, unless
  1094. 39:25you have a real business address
1095. 39:27somewhere else. So, I'll just go ahead
1096. 39:29and enter my home address here. and then
1097. 39:31click on save business details. And then
1098. 39:34once that's done, we can now remove the
1099. 39:37password because if I were to go to the
1100. 39:39website right now, um well, we're logged
1101. 39:42in, so it's not going to show. If
1102. 39:44somebody else were to go to the website,
1103. 39:45they would not see the website. They
1104. 39:47would see like a password screen. So, we
1105. 39:49have to remove that. And you can do that
1106. 39:51just by clicking right here on remove
1107. 39:53password. And now your online store is
1108. 39:56open to everyone. So, that is a very
1109. 39:58important step that you have to take
1110. 40:00before you can officially launch your
1111. 40:02Shopify store. Now, once you've got your
1112. 40:05product imported into your store, your
1113. 40:07store is built, everything looks good,
1114. 40:08it's time to actually start getting
1115. 40:10traffic to your store so that you can
1116. 40:13get sales and actually start making
1117. 40:15money with this. And this brings us to
1118. 40:17the final step of this process, which is
1119. 40:20marketing. Now, when you hear the word
1120. 40:23marketing, it might sound intimidating,
  1121. 40:26right? But honestly, don't even
1122. 40:27overthink it. Marketing is simply about
1123. 40:30distribution, right? Your job is not to
1124. 40:33be some insanely creative marketer who
1125. 40:37can come up with clever ads. Your job is
1126. 40:40to simply put your product in front of
  1127. 40:42the right people. Even if it's with a 30
1128. 40:46secondond video that you filmed on your
1129. 40:48phone that you're, you know, filming of
1130. 40:50your product and then you have a voice
1131. 40:52over uh talking about the product over
1132. 40:54the video that you're filming. It could
1133. 40:56be something stupid simple like that. It
1134. 40:57doesn't have to be anything fancy. It
1135. 40:59just has to make it in front of the
  1136. 41:01right people. That's it. That's all
1137. 41:03marketing really is. If you have a
1138. 41:06decent product and the right people
1139. 41:08actually see it, sales will happen. It's
  1140. 41:12literally that simple. Most people don't
1141. 41:14fail at drop shipping because their
1142. 41:15product is terrible. They fail because
1143. 41:18nobody ever sees the product, right? No
1144. 41:21views means no traffic and no traffic
  1145. 41:24means no sales. Everything we're about
1146. 41:27to talk about in this step is simply
1147. 41:28about getting eyeballs on your product.
1148. 41:31Now, there are really only three ways
1149. 41:34that people will ever find your drop
1150. 41:36shipping store. Three types of like
  1151. 41:38marketing, if you will. Uh there's
1152. 41:40organic content, paid ads, and
  1153. 41:44influencer or creator marketing. Let's
1154. 41:47start with organic marketing first,
1155. 41:49which is my personal favorite. So,
1156. 41:51organic marketing is when you post
1157. 41:53content on platforms like Tik Tok,
1158. 41:55Instagram reels, uh YouTube shorts, even
1159. 41:58Pinterest nowadays. Um, and the content
1160. 42:01that you're posting is just organic to
  1161. 42:03that platform, right? Like you're not
1162. 42:05paying for views. You're not paying to
1163. 42:08be boosted. You're simply relying on the
1164. 42:11algorithm to serve your content to the
1165. 42:14correct viewer. With this marketing
  1166. 42:16type, you're basically trading your time
1167. 42:18and effort for attention. But the
1168. 42:21benefit of this is that the cost is
1169. 42:23usually zero minus whatever money you
1170. 42:26spend to create the videos themselves,
1171. 42:28which really shouldn't be that much. But
1172. 42:30anyways, uh, next are paid ads. This is
1173. 42:32when you pay platforms like Tik Tok,
1174. 42:35Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube to show
1175. 42:37your product to people. you simply
1176. 42:39create an ad and then you pay to have
1177. 42:42that ad boosted or pushed to a specific
1178. 42:45audience. And so instead of waiting
1179. 42:47around for the algorithm to push your
1180. 42:50content, which takes time sometimes,
1181. 42:52you're simply boosting it or pushing it
1182. 42:54to the right people by just throwing
1183. 42:56money at it. And third is influencer or
1184. 42:59creator marketing. This is basically
  1185. 43:01when you leverage someone else's
1186. 43:03audience. And so instead of building an
1187. 43:04audience yourself, you pay or you
1188. 43:07partner with somebody who already has an
  1189. 43:09audience. They've already got the
1190. 43:10attention and they promote your product
1191. 43:13for you to their audience. Now, this can
1192. 43:16work extremely well, but it requires
1193. 43:18outreach. It requires negotiation and
1194. 43:21testing different creators to see who
  1195. 43:24actually converts. Now, here's the key
1196. 43:25with all of this that I want you to
1197. 43:27remember, okay? You do not and should
1198. 43:30not master all three of these,
1199. 43:32especially not at the beginning, right?
1200. 43:33You only need one traffic source to get
1201. 43:36started. That's it. And of these three
1202. 43:39types of marketing, you should always
1203. 43:41start with organic short form content,
1204. 43:43especially if you're brand new to drop
1205. 43:45shipping. And so what you should do is
1206. 43:47post organic content to Tik Tok and then
1207. 43:50repurpose that same video over to
  1208. 43:53Instagram reels, YouTube shorts, and a
1209. 43:56lot of people don't know this, but you
1210. 43:57can even post short form content on
1211. 43:59Pinterest nowadays, right? And so make
1212. 44:01the content and just post it everywhere.
1213. 44:04Now, you might be wondering why why,
  1214. 44:06Joshua, should I start with organic
1215. 44:08content instead of just paying for ads
1216. 44:11and reaching people immediately, right?
1217. 44:13I want to make money right now. I don't
1218. 44:15want to have to wait for some algorithm.
  1219. 44:17Like, why can't I just jump straight
1220. 44:19into paid ads? Well, the issue with
1221. 44:21running ads immediately is that first of
1222. 44:24all, you don't even know if the product
1223. 44:26will work, right? People think that paid
1224. 44:29ads are like magic. That the moment you
1225. 44:31turn ads on, the moment you start
1226. 44:33throwing money at this platform, but
1227. 44:36that's simply not how ads work. Ads um
1228. 44:39are more like gasoline, right? The
1229. 44:42organic content that you make on these
1230. 44:44platforms are the fire. So imagine that
1231. 44:47you post a short video on Tik Tok that
1232. 44:50starts gaining traction. It starts
1233. 44:52getting really good views, good
1234. 44:54engagement. A small fire is starting to
1235. 44:57form. You then take your gasoline, aka
1236. 45:02paid ads, and you pour some of that
1237. 45:04gasoline into the fire to create an even
1238. 45:07bigger fire. Right? You get my analogy
1239. 45:09there. The issue here is that too many
1240. 45:12beginners are just dousing the ground
1241. 45:14with gasoline and nothing ever happens
1242. 45:17because there was never a fire in the
1243. 45:20first place. Are you tracking with me?
1244. 45:21And so definitely start with organic
1245. 45:23content first and then you can apply the
1246. 45:26paid ad strategy after a certain video
1247. 45:29starts gaining traction. simply boost
1248. 45:31that video, run that video as an ad
1249. 45:34because now you have proof that people
1250. 45:36are actually interested in this product
  1251. 45:38because it's doing well organically.
1252. 45:40Now, let's actually talk about the type
1253. 45:43of organic content that actually drives
1254. 45:45sales because this is where a lot of
1255. 45:47people get stuck. The first thing I want
1256. 45:49you to know though about organic uh
1257. 45:51marketing, organic content, is that you
1258. 45:53don't need to do anything fancy, right?
  1259. 45:55No fancy editing. You don't need a
1260. 45:58studio. You don't even need to show your
1261. 46:00face to make organic content. In fact,
1262. 46:03raw content usually performs better than
1263. 46:06polished content, especially when it
1264. 46:08comes to short form videos. And so, I
1265. 46:11want to really quickly go down a list of
1266. 46:12the types of videos that consistently
1267. 46:15work for drop shipping product, right?
1268. 46:18Like these videos are proven to convert
1269. 46:21time and time again and drive traffic
1270. 46:24for drop shipping stores. So, the first
1271. 46:27type of video is problem to solution
1272. 46:30videos. This is where you show the
1273. 46:33problem first before you ever even show
  1274. 46:36the product. For example, maybe it's a
1275. 46:38video of a messy car. The car is dirty.
1276. 46:41It's got trash, like crumbs everywhere,
1277. 46:43and then you take this mini vacuum
1278. 46:44cleaner and you start cleaning the car,
1279. 46:46and then like before you know it, it's
  1280. 46:48it's clean, right? You're advertising
  1281. 46:50that vacuum cleaner. Or maybe it's a
1282. 46:52video of you showing a bunch of tangled
1283. 46:54cords, uh, but then you show this other
1284. 46:58product that helps you to organize your
1285. 47:00cords. And then at the latter half the
1286. 47:01video, you show all of the the cords
1287. 47:03organized inside of this little thing.
1288. 47:05Or maybe it's like pet hair everywhere.
1289. 47:07And the same idea, you take this vacuum,
1290. 47:09you start vacuuming up the pet hair, and
1291. 47:11it it looks easy. It looks seamless. It
1292. 47:13looks like it works, right? You start
1293. 47:15the video off by showing that
1294. 47:17frustration and then you introduce the
1295. 47:19product as the solution to that
  1296. 47:22frustration because remember people
1297. 47:24don't buy products, they buy solutions
1298. 47:26to problems that they already have. The
1299. 47:29second type of video though is before
1300. 47:31and after videos. This one is super
1301. 47:34simple. You start by showing what
1302. 47:36something looks like before the product
1303. 47:38is used and then you show what it looks
1304. 47:41like after the product is used. It's
1305. 47:43very similar to the first style of video
1306. 47:45to be honest with you. And so think
1307. 47:47dirty versus clean or disorganized
1308. 47:50versus organized or broken versus fixed.
1309. 47:53With these types of videos, there really
1310. 47:55is no talking required because the
1311. 47:57visuals do all of the work for you. The
1312. 47:59third video is demonstration videos.
1313. 48:02This is really when you just show the
  1314. 48:04product being used. There's not really
  1315. 48:06any talking. There's no explanation,
  1316. 48:08nothing. For example, let's say that
  1317. 48:10you're selling a portable uh mini
  1318. 48:13blender. A demonstration video could
  1319. 48:15literally be just a 15-second clip of
1320. 48:18you dropping some fruit into the
1321. 48:20blender, pressing the button, and
1322. 48:22watching it blend, and then you pouring
1323. 48:24that blended drink into a cup and start
1324. 48:27drinking it. And that is the entire
  1325. 48:29video. You're simply letting the viewer
1326. 48:31figure it out themselves, which actually
1327. 48:34helps to build more trust because if
1328. 48:35somebody can understand what the product
1329. 48:37does by themselves just by watching it
  1330. 48:40being used, that's a win. The fourth
1331. 48:42type of video though are curiositybased
1332. 48:45videos. And so, for example, let's say
  1333. 48:47that you're selling a portable sticker
  1334. 48:50printer. A curiositybased video could
  1335. 48:53start with something like this. I didn't
1336. 48:55think that this would actually work. and
1337. 48:58the video immediately cuts to the
1338. 49:00sticker printer printing stickers in
1339. 49:02real time, right? Or maybe uh the first
1340. 49:05clip is you holding the product saying,
1341. 49:07"This little thing has completely
1342. 49:09changed my life." And then you show the
  1343. 49:12product being used. You're not
  1344. 49:14explaining anything upfront. You're
1345. 49:16simply starting with this really big
1346. 49:17statement. And by doing this, you are
  1347. 49:20creating a small question in the
  1348. 49:22viewer's mind because in the viewer's
  1349. 49:23mind, they're wondering, "What is that
1350. 49:25thing? And why does it matter?" That
1351. 49:27curiosity is what makes people stop
1352. 49:29scrolling through the different videos
1353. 49:31and they keep watching your video and
1354. 49:33then hopefully if you did a good job of
1355. 49:35convincing and explaining then maybe
1356. 49:37they'll buy the product. And so yeah,
1357. 49:39those are really the highest converting
1358. 49:41videos that you can make on short form
1359. 49:43platforms like Tik Tok or Instagram
1360. 49:45reels or YouTube shorts. And just
1361. 49:47remember, okay, the most important thing
1362. 49:49with all of this is that you don't need
1363. 49:51to create perfect videos. I cannot even
1364. 49:54begin to stress that enough. What you
1365. 49:56need to do is create fast, post fast so
1366. 50:00that you can start getting feedback from
1367. 50:01the market fast and then you just
1368. 50:03reiterate, try again, reiterate, try
1369. 50:07again, and just keep testing, testing,
1370. 50:09and testing. And if you do this enough
  1371. 50:11time, it's literally impossible to not
1372. 50:14start getting feedback that you can use
1373. 50:16to start driving traffic to your drop
1374. 50:18shipping store. And then like I said uh
  1375. 50:21earlier, when you inevitably have a
1376. 50:24video that starts going semiviral or
1377. 50:26maybe even mega viral, that is when you
1378. 50:29start running paid ads with it because
1379. 50:32that is when sales really begin to take
1380. 50:35off. The last thing that I want to do in
1381. 50:37this video is answer some of the most
  1382. 50:39common drop shipping questions that I
1383. 50:41get. These are kind of the most common
1384. 50:43questions that stop people from getting
1385. 50:45started with drop shipping or just being
1386. 50:47successful with it. And honestly,
1387. 50:49they're questions that you probably
  1388. 50:51already have as you've been watching
1389. 50:52this video. So, the first question that
1390. 50:54I always get is, if drop shipping works
1391. 50:58so well, as you say, Joshua, why do most
1392. 51:01people fail at it? Well, it's very
1393. 51:04simple. Most people fail at drop
1394. 51:06shipping for a very simple reason. They
1395. 51:08quit too early, right? They expect
  1396. 51:11results way faster than reality. They'll
1397. 51:14post a few videos or maybe run a couple
1398. 51:17of paid ads. They don't see any sales
1399. 51:19come in immediately and then they just
  1400. 51:22assume that the business doesn't work.
1401. 51:24But in reality, they just didn't give
1402. 51:26the market enough chances to respond to
1403. 51:30whatever they were trying to sell and
1404. 51:32promote. And even more importantly, they
1405. 51:34didn't persevere long enough for
1406. 51:36themselves. Another huge reason people
1407. 51:38fail, though, is because they spend way
1408. 51:40too much time preparing and not enough
1409. 51:43time testing. They obsess over things
1410. 51:46like their logo or their Shopify theme
1411. 51:49or their product descriptions or all
1412. 51:51these different things that sure might
1413. 51:54make you feel productive, but they never
1414. 51:56actually put products in front of real
1415. 51:59people. I mean, you saw for yourself in
1416. 52:01this video how little time we spent on
1417. 52:04the actual drop shipping store, right? I
1418. 52:07mean, we literally had AI build it for
1419. 52:09us and then that's about it. There were
1420. 52:11very minor changes that were made
  1421. 52:13because that's not what is most
1422. 52:15important. Your logo and your brand
1423. 52:17colors have almost zero impact on your
1424. 52:20ability to generate sales. Most
1425. 52:22beginners also underestimate how much
1426. 52:25testing it takes, right? Not every
1427. 52:27product will work. I cannot stress that
1428. 52:30enough. Not every single video that you
1429. 52:32post on Tik Tok is going to work, is
1430. 52:35going to go viral. In fact, most won't.
1431. 52:38And that's normal. And also for the
1432. 52:40record, not only is that normal with
  1433. 52:42dropshipping, it's also normal with
1434. 52:45really any business, right? The people
1435. 52:47who succeed are the ones who keep
1436. 52:49testing and trying long enough to find
1437. 52:52something that actually clicks, right?
  1438. 52:54They don't take failure personally. They
1439. 52:57treat it like data. And once you can
1440. 53:00begin approaching drop shipping or
1441. 53:02really any business, that way your
1442. 53:04chances of success go way up. But
1443. 53:07anyways, another question that I get all
1444. 53:08the time is what are some of the biggest
1445. 53:10mistakes that beginners make? So, the
  1446. 53:13biggest mistake that I see beginners
1447. 53:15making is they're trying to copy someone
  1448. 53:18else. Exactly. Right. I used this
1449. 53:20example so many times in this video
1450. 53:22because I saw it happening so much just
  1451. 53:24a few months ago. They'll see a product
1452. 53:26that worked really well for somebody
1453. 53:28else on TikTok and they'll try to
1454. 53:30recreate that same product step by step.
1455. 53:33And so the same video style, the same
1456. 53:36drop shipping store, the same everything
1457. 53:39without actually understanding why that
1458. 53:42product worked in the first place. What
1459. 53:45works for one person on one account at
1460. 53:48one moment in time during one season
1461. 53:52might not work for you the same way.
1462. 53:54That's why the goal of this isn't to
1463. 53:56copy a winning product. The goal is to
1464. 53:59learn how to test ideas quickly until
1465. 54:02you find something that works for you
1466. 54:05because typically by the time you spot a
1467. 54:07trending product in the first place
  1468. 54:09that's working, usually that means it's
1469. 54:12the end of its life cycle. Like you're
1470. 54:14already too late to the party, right?
1471. 54:16The product is already kind of trending
1472. 54:18down. And this is why just copying
1473. 54:20people never works and why you have to
1474. 54:22learn how to test products and do the
1475. 54:24research for yourself. But anyways, the
1476. 54:26next question, and this might be one of
1477. 54:28the most common questions I get, is how
1478. 54:31long does it usually take to get my
1479. 54:33first sale? Like, when when will I see
1480. 54:35my first sale come in, Joshua? And the
1481. 54:38answer is really, it depends. It will
1482. 54:40probably take a lot longer than you
1483. 54:42want, but it'll be a lot shorter uh than
1484. 54:46you think. So, some people make their
1485. 54:48first sale like in the first few days.
1486. 54:50others takes a few weeks and for some it
  1487. 54:54might take a couple of months and that's
1488. 54:56all completely normal. What most
1489. 54:58beginners get wrong is they assume
1490. 55:01there's some weird like specific
1491. 55:03timeline for getting their first sale.
1492. 55:05Like if I don't make my first sale in
1493. 55:07the first week, then something must be
1494. 55:09broken. Maybe I'm not like good at this.
1495. 55:11I should just go ahead and quit, right?
1496. 55:13That's not how this works. Okay? You
1497. 55:14can't just go and set these weird
1498. 55:16arbitrary timelines for yourself to try
  1499. 55:19and meet because inevitably you'll
1500. 55:21probably end up not meeting those goals,
  1501. 55:24not meeting those timelines, and that's
1502. 55:25just going to discourage you and make
1503. 55:27you want to quit. Your first sale
1504. 55:28usually comes uh after enough people
1505. 55:31have seen your product, not after a
1506. 55:33certain number of days. And so if you're
  1507. 55:35posting content consistently, testing
1508. 55:38hooks, and actually driving traffic to
1509. 55:40your website, sales tend to show up
1510. 55:43faster than you expect. But if you're
1511. 55:45just sitting there tweaking your Shopify
1512. 55:48store and waiting for sales to magically
1513. 55:50appear and posting like one video per
1514. 55:52week, then you're probably going to be
  1515. 55:54waiting for a sale forever. So don't
1516. 55:57obsess over specific arbitrary deadlines
1517. 56:00for getting your first sale. obsess over
1518. 56:03volume uh testing and getting eyeballs
1519. 56:06on the product because that is what
1520. 56:08actually speeds things up. Another
1521. 56:10question that I get is how do I price my
1522. 56:13products? So, pricing is way simpler
1523. 56:15than most people make it. Here's kind of
1524. 56:17the basic rule of thumb. You want to
  1525. 56:19price your product at least 2.5 to 3x
1526. 56:24your total product cost. And when I say
1527. 56:27product cost, I mean the cost of the
1528. 56:29item itself plus shipping plus any
1529. 56:33additional fees, right? All of this
1530. 56:35needs to be built into the price of the
1531. 56:37product. And that margin gives you room
1532. 56:39to actually make a profit and eventually
1533. 56:42even run paid ads if you want to scale
1534. 56:44faster. But for example, if your product
  1535. 56:47cost you $10 and you're selling it for
  1536. 56:50$15,
  1537. 56:52I mean, that's a losing game, right?
1538. 56:54that's not enough margin to actually be
1539. 56:57profitable or make a lot of money long
1540. 56:59term. If your product clearly solves a
1541. 57:01problem, it looks good and is marketed
1542. 57:04well, people will pay you a lot more
1543. 57:06money than you think for it. So, these
1544. 57:08are some of the most common questions
1545. 57:10that I get. Uh, if you have a different
1546. 57:12question that you want answered that I
1547. 57:14didn't answer in this video, leave it in
1548. 57:15the comment section down below and I'll
1549. 57:17do my best to answer um all the
1550. 57:19questions that you guys have as best as
1551. 57:21possible. Listen guys, if you made it
1552. 57:24this far into the video, I just want to
1553. 57:26say that I genuinely respect you because
1554. 57:29most people do not stick around long
1555. 57:31enough to actually learn how this works.
1556. 57:33What I wanted this video to be was a
1557. 57:36clear uh realistic overview of what it
1558. 57:39actually takes to get started with drop
1559. 57:42shipping without over complicating it
1560. 57:44and without turning it into some
  1561. 57:46overwhelming 5-hour long video. There
1562. 57:49are definitely videos out there that go
1563. 57:51way deeper into each individual piece of
1564. 57:54this business and those definitely will
1565. 57:57be helpful. They might be helpful later
1566. 57:59on, but from my personal experience,
  1567. 58:02when you're just getting started, too
1568. 58:03much detail too early on actually stops
1569. 58:07people from taking action because it
1570. 58:09creates uh analysis paralysis. And
1571. 58:12that's why this video exists. My advice
1572. 58:15to you is simple. Watch this video,
1573. 58:18follow along, take action, and then just
1574. 58:22learn as you go. You don't need to have
1575. 58:24everything figured out on day one.
1576. 58:27You'll actually end up learning faster
1577. 58:28by just doing the business than watching
1578. 58:3110 more tutorials like this one, okay?
1579. 58:34All of the tools that we talked about
1580. 58:36are linked down below in the
  1581. 58:37description. And honestly, that's all
1582. 58:39you need to get started. And hey, if you
  1583. 58:41know somebody personally who's been
1584. 58:43talking about starting drop shipping or
1585. 58:45starting some type of uh e-commerce or
1586. 58:47like online business, send them this
1587. 58:49video. It's free and it can save them a
1588. 58:51ton of confusion. And also, if you got
1589. 58:54value out of this video, do me a huge
1590. 58:55favor and drop a like down below for the
1591. 58:58video so that it can reach more people.
1592. 59:00Drop a comment and let me know where
1593. 59:02you're starting at, like which step
1594. 59:04you're starting at with drop shipping or
1595. 59:05if you have any questions. And also
1596. 59:07subscribe to the channel if you want
1597. 59:09more content. just like this. How to
1598. 59:11build online businesses, investing, and
1599. 59:14making money in realistic ways. Hey,
1600. 59:17thank you so much for watching. I
1601. 59:18appreciate every single one of you being
1602. 59:20here and watching until the end. It
1603. 59:22means the world. And as always, I will
1604. 59:24see you again very soon. Take care.
