1. 0:00Now wives, can I talk to you real quick?
2. 0:01I need to be gentle but clear. Your
3. 0:03temptation at times will be to
4. 0:05prioritize your children over your
5. 0:07husband. You must never do that. You are
6. 0:10not one flesh with your children. Even
7. 0:12though your children came from your
8. 0:13flesh, you are one flesh with your
9. 0:15husband and your husband alone. Listen
10. 0:18ladies, a lot of you just you you need
11. 0:20to get this. The best way to be a good
12. 0:22parent is to be a great spouse that
13. 0:25creates an amazing marriage and the
14. 0:27blessing from the marriage falls down on
15. 0:28the children. And ladies, if you've ever
16. 0:30done any of the things I'm about to say,
17. 0:32listen, there's much grace. I'm failing
18. 0:34my way forward, too. We're all in this
19. 0:35thing together. Not trying to embarrass
20. 0:37you, but I need to be specific. Every
21. 0:39now and then, I'll be out there in that
22. 0:40lobby right after a service, and a a
23. 0:42couple will come up to me, and the wife
24. 0:44will be there with the husband. I'll
25. 0:45reach forward to grab the husband's
26. 0:47hand, go in for the handshake. Something
27. 0:49happens or I don't know, whatever's
28. 0:51going on. And a wife sometimes will say
29. 0:53something like this, "Oh, he knows his
30. 0:55place." Or maybe the little babies are
31. 0:57there and there's a little commotion
32. 0:58with the babies and she starts focusing
33. 1:00on this or something like that and a a
34. 1:02wife will say something like this. Oh,
35. 1:04he knows my babies come first. Hey,
36. 1:07listen. No, they don't. Do you know why
37. 1:09a ton of divorces don't happen three
38. 1:11years into a marriage? They happen at
39. 1:12age 60. I'm a pastor. I see this all the
40. 1:15time. The marriage starts and the wife
41. 1:16is making the husband pri the priority
42. 1:18and there is lots of sexual blessing
43. 1:20happening for him. Okay, that's what
44. 1:21happens early in the marriage. Then kids
45. 1:22come along and all of a sudden she
46. 1:24prioritizes the kids over the husband.
47. 1:26Now the kids get her best energy. She's
48. 1:29too tired for fun or intimacy. Well,
49. 1:30then the husband gets jealous. Jealousy
50. 1:32just means somebody's in my place and
51. 1:34the kids are in his place. So because
52. 1:35she's prioritizing the kids over uh him.
53. 1:38He prioritizes his career over her. And
54. 1:40then oh whoops. The kids grow up and
55. 1:42they go to college and all of a sudden
56. 1:44they figure out, oh dang, the thing that
57. 1:46our whole marriage was about, our whole
58. 1:47marriage was just about the kids. The
59. 1:48kids just left and the thing our
60. 1:50marriage was about is now gone and they
61. 1:51get a divorce at age 60. That's how you
62. 1:53do it. So wives, the way you use your
63. 1:55body, your best energy, how you present
64. 2:00yourself, your priorities should
65. 2:02communicate nobody's more important than
66. 2:05my
