3. 0:12Wireless Controller new for Nintendo
4. 0:14GameCube.
5. 0:15Do you remember the WaveBird GameCube
6. 0:17controller? The wireless one that
7. 0:19Nintendo came out with? Do you remember
8. 0:21the commercials and all that? It was
9. 0:23just something people wanted, including
10. 0:25me. I had a GameCube and I really wanted
11. 0:27the WaveBird controller. But my dad was
12. 0:29like, "Why buy a controller that we
13. 0:30already have four of them? Why buy
14. 0:32another one? What's so different?" I
15. 0:34told him, "This one's wireless. I could
16. 0:35take a dump and play Super Smash Bros.
17. 0:38Melee from the distance." He said, "No,
18. 0:41that's a waste of money. We're not going
19. 0:42to We already have four controllers that
20. 0:43work perfectly fine."
21. 0:45Mind you, we also only had maybe one
22. 0:47authentic GameCube and the rest were
23. 0:48like third-party companies. Like we had
24. 0:51the GameStop that white GameStop
25. 0:53GameCube controller. If you know, you
26. 0:54know.
27. 0:55And we also had the Mad Catz uh GameCube
28. 0:57controller that was tiny and was not
29. 1:00like GameCube style.
30. 1:02It was like smaller, uh but it somehow
31. 1:05was kind of legit. I don't know if you
32. 1:07guys remember that one. But we had those
33. 1:09and I never got the WaveBird. And my
34. 1:11cousin actually owned the WaveBird and I
35. 1:12was kind of jealous. And I really really
36. 1:15wanted it. But thanks to the beautiful
37. 1:17people at Nyxi, they sent me their
38. 1:19Warrior GameCube controller, which to me
39. 1:22is this generation's WaveBird GameCube
40. 1:25controller. I've had this on my wish
41. 1:28list for quite some time, just never
42. 1:29pulled the trigger. I was just waiting
43. 1:31for the right time to buy it. Luckily,
44. 1:33this beautiful company reached out and
45. 1:34sent me a controller. Thank you guys so
46. 1:36much, Nyxi. Again, this is amazing. I've
47. 1:39already been looking at you guys' stuff
48. 1:41and this controller was on my list. So
49. 1:43with the Warrior Nyxi controller, you
50. 1:46can connect this bad boy to your PC, to
51. 1:49your Switch, your Wii, your I'm assuming
52. 1:52your Wii U, and your GameCube. Yes, this
53. 1:55thing connects to the GameCube. and I'll
54. 1:57explain later, but let's unbox what this
55. 2:00GameCube comes with. Out of the box, you
56. 2:02get the controller, and they sent me the
57. 2:04indigo purple GameCube stock controller
58. 2:07color, which is like that purple, which
59. 2:09I don't mind. It's a good color. It's a
60. 2:10nostalgic color. They also have a black
61. 2:12color and a orange color. Personally, I
62. 2:15think we need to start throwing
63. 2:16transparent colors into the mix. I know
64. 2:18we only got a There was like a limited
65. 2:20edition skeleton GameCube controller,
66. 2:22which is rare to find now, but I think
67. 2:25we do need like a clear warrior
68. 2:26controller. So, NYXI, if you're watching
69. 2:28this, make a clear one. I can guarantee
70. 2:30you're going to get sales. And if you do
71. 2:31make it, send it to me. And of course,
72. 2:33you get your box of assortments, which
73. 2:35comes with a bunch of stuff that a bunch
74. 2:36of these companies are doing, which is a
75. 2:38great thing to have, to have other
76. 2:40things on top of the controller, like
77. 2:42little separate attachments, I'm here
78. 2:44for.
79. 2:45So, you get a back panel replacement.
80. 2:49You get a normal C-stick analog stick
81. 2:52cuz they give you out of the box, it's
82. 2:53the like thinner nub uh C-stick, and
83. 2:56then you get to change the actual gates
84. 2:59of your joysticks, which personally,
85. 3:01like I told you guys, I love the
86. 3:02GameCube feeling of the like octagonal
87. 3:05shape. So, I'm never going to change
88. 3:07them, but if you don't like it, you can
89. 3:09switch to the like the pro control, like
90. 3:10the the standard joystick gate. They
91. 3:13come with a small USB-C cable and a
92. 3:17full-length braided USB-C cable as well.
93. 3:19You get two cables. I don't know what
94. 3:21the difference between the two are. I
95. 3:23didn't look into it, but you get two
96. 3:24cables. Like, that's great. The more
97. 3:26cables, the more the merrier. I'm never
98. 3:27mad at getting more USB-C cables. I have
99. 3:30so many now. And of course, the last
100. 3:32thing you get, which I think is the best
101. 3:34thing about this controller, is the
102. 3:36actual GameCube adapter. What this is is
103. 3:40basically your WaveBird receiver to
104. 3:42connect to the Warrior for your
105. 3:44GameCube, your Wii, and your Wii U. And
106. 3:46I believe you can use this the Switch's
107. 3:48like GameCube dock, but you're not going
108. 3:50to need it because this thing's got
109. 3:51Bluetooth. So, what the controller has
110. 3:53to offer is the Hall Effect sticks. I
111. 3:56mean, GameCube controllers are known for
112. 3:58stick drift or just having bad stick
113. 4:00delay or whatever. I don't know what
114. 4:01it's called. Well, these come with it
115. 4:03right out of the box. You don't have to
116. 4:04do anything to it. You'll never have to
117. 4:06worry about stick drift, and you can
118. 4:07grind some Super Smash Brothers Melee,
119. 4:09Brawl, the Smash 4 for people who still
120. 4:12play that one, and of course Smash
121. 4:14Ultimate. Another feature that this
122. 4:16thing comes with that I had no idea was
123. 4:17a part of this controller was you can
124. 4:20change the actual actuations of your ZL
125. 4:23and ZR buttons. So, you can have them be
126. 4:26like a quick a quick sensing click or
127. 4:28the full analog press like the GameCube.
128. 4:31This is kind of cool because it's it
129. 4:33helps out for games that are not
130. 4:35GameCube games cuz analog is kind of
131. 4:37perfect for like Mario Sunshine. You're
132. 4:40going to want to slowly lower the
133. 4:41trigger cuz you it adjusts the actual
134. 4:43spray of the water.
135. 4:45And then when you're just playing normal
136. 4:47games like maybe Fortnite or whatever
137. 4:49you guys you guys Yes, you could play
138. 4:50Fortnite on a GameCube controller thanks
139. 4:53to the Warrior.
140. 4:54You can change them to quick presses so
141. 4:56that way you're not pushing down all the
142. 4:58way. You just hit the button quick and
143. 5:01easy. I didn't know this is a feature.
144. 5:03This is This is awesome. This is great.
145. 5:05I believe these are mods you can add to
146. 5:07a GameCube, but you had to have like um
147. 5:10like certain boards or like um actual
148. 5:12soldering skills to add those features.
149. 5:15This thing already comes with it. Like
150. 5:17why spend so much when you could just
151. 5:19get this controller? You get HD Rumble.
152. 5:22I never notice it, but you have if you
153. 5:25notice and you love HD Rumble, it comes
154. 5:27with it. So,
155. 5:31good. That's great. I personally I don't
156. 5:33really care for Rumble. So, this doesn't
157. 5:35like make me like yeah. And I kind of am
158. 5:39a little mad, but also it's kind of
159. 5:42growing on me is these come with optical
160. 5:44switches on the buttons.
161. 5:47You have that nostalgic GameCube button
162. 5:49press.
163. 5:50You have like the mouse clicky switches,
164. 5:53which is seems to be the new norm for a
165. 5:55bunch of these companies. Like my mobile
166. 5:57pads, they also have the mouse clicky
167. 5:59switches for the buttons. So, it doesn't
168. 6:02bug me bug me. It's growing on me cuz a
169. 6:04bunch of these controllers come with it,
170. 6:05so I have to get used to it.
171. 6:08Let me know in the comments, do you guys
172. 6:09miss the old like clicky membranes or do
173. 6:13you actually prefer the clicky mouse
174. 6:15button on your guys's buttons and
175. 6:17D-pads? I I'm just curious. I It's
176. 6:19growing on me because so many companies
177. 6:22do it now. I'm kind of used to it. Here
178. 6:24Here it is the mouse clicky switches on
179. 6:27the GameCube controller.
180. 6:39There's the clicks on the trigger.
181. 6:47The mouse The press on the joystick.
182. 6:51And the D-pad.
183. 7:01So, upon inspection with the controller,
184. 7:04it looks like a GameCube controller, but
185. 7:05then it doesn't. It has the same button
186. 7:08format as a GameCube controller, but the
187. 7:11grip is a little bigger. It's a big boy.
188. 7:14It's for the big backs like me. So, it's
189. 7:17perfect. And as you can see by the
190. 7:19controller, this also compensates for
191. 7:21using it around a different bunch of
192. 7:22consoles like your PC and all that.
193. 7:24Instead of just the Z button, you have
194. 7:27the R and L button. Which is It's
195. 7:29nothing wrong with that. That's a Z
196. 7:31button. You could just mimic it to Z
197. 7:32button and don't use the L button. It's
198. 7:34fine. We're not We're not nitpicking.
199. 7:36We're not nitpicking. I don't care about
200. 7:38this. I'm just saying it has an L and R
201. 7:40now, not a just a Z and then then a L
202. 7:42and R. It's got Z L Z R Z L R and L R.
203. 7:46I'm not nitpicky. I'm not nitpicky. And
204. 7:48then another thing you notice, it's got
205. 7:51a better D-pad. You guys can't lie. The
206. 7:53GameCube D-pad is absolute garbage. It's
207. 7:57tiny. It's never used. You only use it
208. 8:00for the taunt and melee. You never are
209. 8:02going to be like, "Oh, let me use the
210. 8:04D-pad on the GameCube controller." No.
211. 8:07We're not using it. Sorry, you're
212. 8:09fooling yourself if you actually use the
213. 8:11D-pad. This one's got your mouse clicky
214. 8:13switches.
215. 8:15But it's okay. I actually like it. I've
216. 8:18been playing more Super Mario Brothers 3
217. 8:20on the Switch online with that D-pad and
218. 8:23I've been having such a great time. I've
219. 8:25never completed that game through and
220. 8:27through. Thanks to this controller, I've
221. 8:28just been grinding it on my computer.
222. 8:30Well, like at my desk set up on dock
223. 8:32mode, I've just been playing Super Mario
224. 8:33Brothers 3.
225. 8:35Also getting ready for the GameCube
226. 8:38which online for the Switch 2.
227. 8:41And I will let you guys know if this
228. 8:43does work with the Switch 2, which I
229. 8:45don't I don't doubt. It's It's going to
230. 8:47work. I don't think this will not be
231. 8:48available. It'll It'll work day one. I'm
232. 8:50pretty
233. 8:51I'm pretty positive. And if not, through
234. 8:54updates, I'm pretty sure this thing will
235. 8:56become available and connect to your
236. 8:58Switch 2 easily. Okay, I know I've been
237. 9:00just gassing this controller up and yes,
238. 9:03I did get this sent to me.
239. 9:05I'm not I'm not a person that likes to
240. 9:06lie, but I'm not lying to you. This is
241. 9:09really a legit controller. You really
242. 9:12love the GameCube style and you want to
243. 9:14be able to use it on different
244. 9:16platforms,
245. 9:17the Warrior controller is for you. Just
246. 9:19simple. It's just a simple yes. It's
247. 9:21It's available. It's It's everywhere.
248. 9:24You get on their website, you can get on
249. 9:25Amazon. You can I think you can get on
250. 9:26eBay. I'm not 100% sure. Nicsy is crazy.
251. 9:29It's It's just a goat. But let me get
252. 9:31into further with the actual GameCube
253. 9:34adapter. Luckily, we had a GameCube on
254. 9:36hand for my business, so I got to test
255. 9:39it out with the actual GameCube. Wow,
256. 9:41blown away, man. It's literally the
257. 9:44better version of the WaveBird.
258. 9:47Go ahead, shoot the messenger. I know I
259. 9:49didn't own the WaveBird, but this one's
260. 9:51more available than the actual WaveBird
261. 9:53now. Yeah, of course the WaveBird was
262. 9:54available back then.
263. 9:56But this thing connects to everything.
264. 9:58The WaveBird only connects to the
265. 9:59GameCube, bro. We're not going to use
266. 10:01it. And this controller, if you were to
267. 10:03buy a WaveBird over this controller,
268. 10:04you're spending more for the WaveBird
269. 10:06than the actual Warrior controller. Get
270. 10:08the Warrior controller. So, plugging in
271. 10:11the actual GameCube adapter for your
272. 10:13GameCube and your Wii, it's it's really
273. 10:15just simple. You literally just plug in
274. 10:18the adapter into the GameCube port, turn
275. 10:21on your GameCube or your Wii,
276. 10:23literally hold down the little owl
277. 10:24button on the little adapter,
278. 10:27and it's going to be syncing with that
279. 10:29controller, and you just got to put the
280. 10:30Warrior controller in sync mode, which
281. 10:32is holding on the top button,
282. 10:34and it'll sync to that adapter. Once
283. 10:37you've connected the controller to the
284. 10:38adapter, you never have to sync it after
285. 10:40that unless you're syncing it to another
286. 10:42platform, then you'll have to resync it.
287. 10:45But if you're just using it for
288. 10:46GameCube, simply it's a simple turn on
289. 10:49the GameCube, hit the little owl button,
290. 10:51turn on your your Warrior controller,
291. 10:53and it connects to the GameCube. Easy.
292. 10:56Play all your favorite GameCube games.
293. 10:58Play that $500 Gotcha Force game with
294. 11:01the Warrior controller. Why the hell
295. 11:03not? Go take a dump with the controller,
296. 11:06put a mirror next to your door that
297. 11:08shines the light to the TV from your
298. 11:11pooper, and play all your GameCube games
299. 11:14from the toilet. Why not? You can with
300. 11:17this controller. It's that dope. Have I
301. 11:19tested on the toilet? No, I haven't, but
302. 11:22I'm You saw the the Nintendo commercials
303. 11:24with the kids pooping and playing.
304. 11:27I'm going to do the same with the
305. 11:28Warrior controller. Upon inspection with
306. 11:31the Warrior with an actual GameCube
307. 11:33controller, you can see the difference.
308. 11:34So, with comparing it with three
309. 11:36controllers that I got for GameCube
310. 11:38style game GameCube style controllers,
311. 11:41we have the actual stock GameCube
312. 11:43controller next to the Warrior
313. 11:45controller, next to this Retro Fighter
314. 11:47Duelist that I got a while back for
315. 11:49Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This button
316. 11:52layout was terrible. It was one of the
317. 11:54worst button layouts. I loved the actual
318. 11:57controller's connectivity and all that
319. 11:58to the Switch and to my PC, but the
320. 12:01button layout was weird. Like it just I
321. 12:04don't know what the Retro Fighters was
322. 12:06doing with this button. I don't even
323. 12:07know if they sell this anymore,
324. 12:09but I have this one and I just
325. 12:11I didn't like the button layout even
326. 12:13when I was playing with that. Tried to
327. 12:14love it. I just couldn't. As you can
328. 12:16see, the Warrior controller is just a
329. 12:19big boy in the group and it has better
330. 12:22features than both of them. I'm sorry. I
331. 12:24love my GameCube controller, but the
332. 12:26GameCube controller is only limited to
333. 12:28GameCube games. This bad boy has the
334. 12:30same GameCube feel,
335. 12:32but it can play overriding games. Like
336. 12:34hell, I was playing Cyberpunk 2077
337. 12:38with the Warrior controller on my PC. I
338. 12:40mean, come on. Like, what?
339. 12:42Yeah. Yeah.
340. 12:44And I also tried to get a Victory Royale
341. 12:47with the Warrior controller on the
342. 12:48Switch and it didn't work because people
343. 12:50are sweaty and I suck at Fortnite, but
344. 12:53we tried to get a number one Victory
345. 12:54Royale. Yeah, Fortnite, we about to get
346. 12:56down. The last thing I forgot to talk to
347. 12:58you guys about. I don't use it, but it's
348. 13:01got it. What?
349. 13:03It has back panels.
350. 13:06It's got back buttons for the Warrior
351. 13:08controller. It's got back buttons. I
352. 13:11don't know who's going to use it, but
353. 13:13it's got it for you. To me personally, I
354. 13:16don't use back panels. I actually just
355. 13:18like like putting my fingers on it cuz
356. 13:20it's got like a really like tough grip
357. 13:23to it against your fingers, so I just
358. 13:25like rubbing my finger against it. Pause
359. 13:27there. But, that's why you also get that
360. 13:29little extra panel from the box out of
361. 13:32the box. You can take off the actual
362. 13:34buttons and just have it be a clean
363. 13:37slate on the back. There's no button
364. 13:38press, and it's just a flat surface. So,
365. 13:41if you like back buttons, you can keep
366. 13:43that on there. If you don't, you can
367. 13:44just switch it out. That's so cool. I
368. 13:47mean, come on. Nexi cooked. They
369. 13:49literally cooked with this controller. I
370. 13:50mean I mean, serious. It's a great
371. 13:53controller. Like, what are you doing?
