- 0:00Oh, hey there. There's been a new beat
- 0:02out of Sketch and it's got some new
- 0:04features and one of them's kind of
- 0:06interesting.
- 0:07Oh, damn. That's liquid glass. How do we
- 0:10do this? Right, let's grab a frame.
- 0:12Going to come in here. We're going to
- 0:14chuck in an image. Do one of them.
- 0:15Whatever. Give it a second. There we go.
- 0:17That'll do. Uh, create a shape. Go under
- 0:19effects. Go glass. And then we're going
- 0:21to grab a corner. There we go. Do that.
- 0:23And we're done. Change that from auto to
- 0:25custom. And then we've got uh liquid
- 0:28glass, including the amount of chromatic
- 0:30aberration around the edges, which we
- 0:32can't see in this image because we've
- 0:33chosen a really bad image. And by
- 0:35chosen, I mean picked one at random,
- 0:37which doesn't have that much cut. I
- 0:38mean, that one's no better. Come on.
- 0:40Come on. Random select. Let's try
- 0:41pixels. Come on, sort your life out. Oh,
- 0:45that's You've let me down again. We can
- 0:47still see. You see this fringing? That's
- 0:49chromatic aberration, sir. And yeah,
- 0:51this is like completely real time.
- 0:54There's some jank with my computer at
- 0:55the minute. It's because um I'm running
- 0:58the Mac OS 26 beta because I am an
- 1:02idiot. Don't recommend it. Don't do it.
- 1:04It's way too early. Uh but yeah, there
- 1:06you go. Look at the glass. And also you
- 1:07can do your tint. So you can make that
- 1:09like red, whatever. It's probably too
- 1:11much red. There you go. There's some red
- 1:13or we can make a different color. Woo!
- 1:16Look at that. Wow. Magical. Um that is
- 1:19basically in a nutshell the uh Well,
- 1:22that's crazy. Whoa. Yeah, you've got all
- 1:25the options. You've got all the options.
- 1:26Turn up saturation, turn down
- 1:28saturation. It's it's all that stuff.
- 1:30This is in beta. Um, so it's definitely
- 1:32not ready for prime time, but yeah,
- 1:33they've they've turned it around in a
- 1:36week and a half. Pretty impressive. Um,
- 1:39so what else is there? There's some
- 1:41other stuff. There's some other stuff.
- 1:42Let's do some of the other stuff. I
- 1:43think the other one which I haven't even
- 1:44tried yet because I got too excited and
- 1:46then started pressing record
- 1:48um with that is apparently
- 1:51that's my whackom being rubbish. It's
- 1:54not working properly in in this version
- 1:56of Mac OS. If I make this a layout there
- 1:59we go. And I get my rectangle and then
- 2:01we're going to do is we're going to set
- 2:03our corners to auto.
- 2:07A is that working? No. Hold up. Do that
- 2:10again. Sorry. Hang on. I'm being dumb.
- 2:12Let's not make that a stack. Make a new
- 2:13frame. There we go. Look at that. Fancy.
- 2:15Corners. We're going to turn to a
- 2:17radius. We're going to change to a color
- 2:18so we can see it. We grab a rectangle
- 2:20without putting the layout on. And then
- 2:21we're going to change our corners to
- 2:22auto. And then what that's going to do
- 2:24is if I change the corner radius on my
- 2:27outer guy, it's going to match the
- 2:29radius. So if I make this a known size,
- 2:32let's say this is
- 2:34So yeah, we will put a new layout on
- 2:35here. So do a layout on there. And then
- 2:37this guy, we're going to do fill. And
- 2:39fill. There we go. It's not filling.
- 2:41It's not filling. That's That's fine.
- 2:43That's fine. You know why? Because it's
- 2:45a beta. So, not everything's going to
- 2:47work. That's fine. In fact, actually,
- 2:49our stack, we have some inherent
- 2:50padding. So, change that to zero. And
- 2:53then we're going to do put to one.
- 2:55Change to 10 and 10. There we go. And
- 2:59then now we get automatic nesting of the
- 3:02inner
- 3:04rounding guy without having to do
- 3:06anything at all. It's pretty faking
- 3:09cool. We've also got a thing I've
- 3:10noticed here which is a little slidy
- 3:12thing which does um if you hover over
- 3:15it, it says switch between opacity and
- 3:18progressive alpha. So you can do
- 3:20progressive alpha. So basically like an
- 3:22alpha mask without having to mask it,
- 3:24which they didn't even mention. And this
- 3:26might disappear. I don't know. But
- 3:27that's a thing. Also, uh a thing that
- 3:30they sort of dropped in the previous
- 3:32one, which is also here. They don't
- 3:34these are like some really nice
- 3:35features. So we go to this guy. Hi. Uh,
- 3:39hey, we go back to effects.
- 3:43Oh dear. And we're going to do
- 3:46layer blur. And now we've got, you know,
- 3:48a blur. We have other blurs. We have
- 3:50progressive blur, which is, you know, a
- 3:52thing, um, which also works the way it
- 3:55should work. And then we've got, you
- 3:56know, all different blurs now. So, you
- 3:58do the whole invogue progressive blur
- 4:00stuff. There's also, memory serves,
- 4:02there's a bunch of different blurs.
- 4:04There's now motion blur, which Whoa,
- 4:07that hurts my eyes. And then the zoom
- 4:08blur.
- 4:11There you go. Which also uh [ __ ] hurts
- 4:14my eyes. Um you can do you can it can be
- 4:17like 1995 daytime television all over
- 4:20again. We focus on their eyes cuz it's
- 4:23the most dramatic part of the picture.
- 4:25It comes into focus and he's the hero of
- 4:26the story. That's the end of the video.
- 4:28Uh I'm sure there's other stuff coming
- 4:29in the beta, but anyway, that's that's
- 4:31all I've got for now. Get a goodbye.
