2. 0:03oops well I had decided much earlier
3. 0:06even within the first hour of inment
4. 0:08that I would have to cut my arm off
5. 0:10except I couldn't figure out how to do
6. 0:12it by the final night that I was there I
7. 0:15was pretty sure that I was going to I
8. 0:16was going to die
9. 0:18that I was certain of that by the first
10. 0:21the first time I even turned the camera
11. 0:22on 24 hours into it I was going to die I
12. 0:24couldn't cut my arm off I would either
13. 0:26bleed to death before I could get to
14. 0:28medical help and then I realized the
15. 0:29knife is isn't sharp enough to get
16. 0:30through the skin or then it isn't sharp
17. 0:33enough to get through the bone there's
18. 0:35the the vision as I had of the little
19. 0:37boy who comes running over to me as i w
20. 0:39i i saw this uh kind of in a dreamlike
21. 0:43moment of the sixth day the fifth night
22. 0:46that I was there that it was um it was
23. 0:48dark in the canyon but I saw myself
24. 0:50leave and going into a living room and
25. 0:52here I scoop up this Little Pond hair
26. 0:54boy and and I I know that this is my
27. 0:56future son here he is I'm looking at him
28. 0:58straight in the eyes and then it was the
29. 1:00epiphany of realizing that I could break
30. 1:03the bones of my arm I didn't have to cut
31. 1:05through them with the knife I could
32. 1:06break them and from that point it was
33. 1:09just the smile still today I look at it
34. 1:11and I wouldn't change anything that
35. 1:14wouldn't take a sharper knife wouldn't
36. 1:16have a jacket wouldn't take more water
37. 1:18like I just it had to happen the way
38. 1:19that it happened to me it's it's all
39. 1:21been a blessing but the gift of it is is
40. 1:23that it it it draws me out of my my
41. 1:26daily experience into a place of
42. 1:28appreciation and gratitude

46. 1:44I was lucky enough to grow up in a
47. 1:47musical family in an environment that
48. 1:50encouraged music parents that never told
49. 1:54me not to listen to [ __ ] Slayer you
