  34. 1:16something in the chemistry i don't know
  35. 1:17what you put in the water
  36. 1:19or what you said as a gas through
  37. 1:23a pipe so it's just they're very
  38. 1:25receptive and the chemistry is excellent
  39. 1:28and i thoroughly thoroughly thoroughly
  40. 1:30enjoy it
  41. 1:31well i'd like to ask those of you who
  42. 1:33are here who are mindvalley members what
  43. 1:34do you think rao is talking about what
  44. 1:36is it about you guys that makes this
  45. 1:38these calls so much fun
  46. 1:41try try to try to to list it try to list
  47. 1:44it
  48. 1:44in in that list and by the way these
  49. 1:47calls are also going to be interactive
  50. 1:48so you'll get to ask questions to shriek
  51. 1:50morale
  52. 1:51now here's how the q a works um open up
  53. 1:54the q a box
  54. 1:55ask a question or vote up a question top
  55. 1:57questions i'm gonna bring you live to
  56. 1:58interface with rao
  57. 1:59so people are saying we are thirsty we
  58. 2:02are switched on it's the excitement
  59. 2:03uh we are all good looking we have
  60. 2:05common connections
  61. 2:07it's the energetic vibe it's the high
  62. 2:09frequency ground it's great moderation
  63. 2:11thank you it's invisible invincible
  64. 2:14positivity
  65. 2:15uh but yeah there's definitely a really
  66. 2:17beautiful spark here among our members
  67. 2:19we have 55 000 members and they are like
  68. 2:21they're like unicorns they're like the
  69. 2:23most amazing people on the planet
  70. 2:25um and so they they they are so into
  71. 2:27every aspect of personal growth
  72. 2:29they are so smart they can connect the
  73. 2:30dots and that's what i believe makes
  74. 2:32these calls fun
  75. 2:33now srikuma let's get started with the
  76. 2:34first idea because we have so many
  77. 2:36things to cover
  78. 2:37you say we don't live in the real world
  79. 2:41what do you mean okay
  80. 2:45let me illustrate with a story
  81. 2:50you know what ragging is in india we
  82. 2:52call it ragging
  83. 2:53out here we call it hazing uh in
  84. 2:56fraternities you call it pledging
  85. 2:58but basically what happens is you have
  86. 3:00someone who wants to join a group
  87. 3:02and the members of that group give him a
  88. 3:04really hard time before finally
  89. 3:06admitting him to the group
  90. 3:08so ragging was big in india and uh i got
  91. 3:11ragged as
  92. 3:12a fresher and i figured it wasn't a bad
  93. 3:16deal i get dragged one year and then i
  94. 3:17get to rag
  95. 3:18two years when i become a senior so it
  96. 3:20was all good fun and games
  97. 3:22now when i became a senior there was
  98. 3:24someone who joined the college
  99. 3:25and he was a science honors student and
  100. 3:28there was something a little bit off
  101. 3:30with him
  102. 3:31i'm not a psychiatrist i'm not going to
  103. 3:32make a medical comment but
  104. 3:34there was something a little bit off he
  105. 3:36was very bright
  106. 3:37but he was socially very in adroid too
  107. 3:40eager to please and you know just
  108. 3:43not there altogether and one day i was
  109. 3:47coming back from my class and i saw a
  110. 3:49group of cds that grabbed him
  111. 3:50and they were making fun of him and they
  112. 3:53were making
  113. 3:54fun of his condition and i
  114. 3:57got really angry i mean furious
  115. 4:01so i waited right in grabbed the you
  116. 4:04know
  117. 4:04pressure took him to my room and as far
  118. 4:08as i was concerned i saved him from this
  119. 4:10horrible thing because here were these
  120. 4:12inconsiderate seniors who were making
  121. 4:16fun of his condition
  122. 4:19and i remember that as one of the good
  123. 4:21deeds in my life
  124. 4:23you know i die someday and my parents
  125. 4:25would say my
  126. 4:26my children would say oh you know our
  127. 4:28old man he was a good guy
  128. 4:30but there was one time in his life where
  129. 4:32he really did something to help someone
  130. 4:33and this came up
  131. 4:35so fast forward 20 years and i hadn't
  132. 4:38been back to my college at that time and
  133. 4:40one day i did go there simply to
  134. 4:42you know see how things were and by one
  135. 4:44of those freakish universal
  136. 4:46coincidences this person happened to be
  137. 4:48there at the same time we met completely
  138. 4:50by
  139. 4:51accident in the you know great lawn and
  140. 4:54we say oh let's have lunch and we had
  141. 4:55lunch and there was all this oh do you
  142. 4:57remember
  143. 4:58and all that kind of catching up and
  144. 5:00then there was a pause
  145. 5:02and then they said srikumar do you
  146. 5:04remember and he mentioned that incident
  147. 5:07and i said of course i remember and i
  148. 5:09sat back waiting for him to thank me
  149. 5:12and he said srikumar i was having such a
  150. 5:15good time with the seniors
  151. 5:17why did you come and break it up so
  152. 5:19rudely
  153. 5:21and that completely threw me for a loop
  154. 5:25for 20 years i've been living in an area
  155. 5:27where this person was being
  156. 5:29unmercifully ragged about his condition
  157. 5:32by a group of you know real
  158. 5:36sad seniors and i did my good deed in
  159. 5:40rescuing him
  160. 5:41and for the same amount of time he was
  161. 5:43living in a
  162. 5:45reality where he was having a good time
  163. 5:48with the seniors and i came and rudely
  164. 5:50broke it up
  165. 5:52we each construct the world that we live
  166. 5:55in we don't
  167. 5:56live in the real world we live
  168. 6:00in a real world and this is actually
  169. 6:04hugely liberating because if you live
  170. 6:06in the real world and you don't like it
  171. 6:08you screw
  172. 6:09grin and bear it but if you live in
  173. 6:12a real world and you don't like it you
  174. 6:15can deconstruct the parts of it that
  175. 6:17don't work for you and build it up again
  176. 6:19and you do it over and over and over
  177. 6:21again and that's what a big chunk of my
  178. 6:23program is about
  179. 6:25and in fact that is one of the things
  180. 6:26that i will be
  181. 6:28uh discussing at great length along with
  182. 6:30examples and exercises
  183. 6:32in the seminar that's coming up we don't
  184. 6:35live
  185. 6:35in the real world we live in a real
  186. 6:39world
  187. 6:40okay so so could you elaborate
  188. 6:43in this seminar um or at least when i
  189. 6:46when i spoke about this seminar what
  190. 6:47excited
  191. 6:48me is is learning to understand the
  192. 6:50mental models of great men like steve
  193. 6:52jobs
  194. 6:53and steve jobs was deep into
  195. 6:55spirituality
  196. 6:56he traveled to india he he meditated
  197. 7:00um he tried all of these funky diets he
  198. 7:02would pray at a particular ashram in
  199. 7:04india
  200. 7:05and i know that in steve jobs biography
  201. 7:08walter isaacson wrote that jobs believed
  202. 7:10in prana or an intuitive understanding
  203. 7:12of the world
  204. 7:13and i found that phrase really
  205. 7:14interesting p r a j n
  206. 7:16a uh the indian word for like
  207. 7:18intuitively sensing
  208. 7:20and also in the biography walter isakson
  209. 7:24wrote that jobs believed in his ability
  210. 7:27to bend reality
  211. 7:28walter isaacson mentions the word bend
  212. 7:30reality three times in that biography
  213. 7:33in relation to a great entrepreneur
  214. 7:34because the seminar you're doing is on
  215. 7:36entrepreneurs and you teach it and
  216. 7:37you teach mbas what is going on there
  217. 7:42what happens is entrepreneurs don't
  218. 7:45confront the world
  219. 7:48they create the world they change the
  220. 7:51world
  221. 7:52so when you have tremendous conviction
  222. 7:56and you go forward or whatever task
  223. 7:59you're
  224. 8:00undertaking you have this power to
  225. 8:04quite literally change the universe now
  226. 8:06i want to stress
  227. 8:07something else when you do that
  228. 8:10you are not really acting as an
  229. 8:13independent entity that is the mistake
  230. 8:16most of us make we think that we are a
  231. 8:19particular
  232. 8:20body-mind intellect complex like you
  233. 8:22think your vision you know i created my
  234. 8:25valley this is my
  235. 8:26uh mission for mind valley and so on
  236. 8:29that's fiction
  237. 8:30that's a role you're playing who you are
  238. 8:32actually
  239. 8:33goes way way way beyond that and when
  240. 8:36you recognize that who you are goes way
  241. 8:39way beyond it this is a role that you're
  242. 8:41playing and you don't get wrapped up in
  243. 8:42a role but this
  244. 8:44is the important thing what you are is
  245. 8:47you
  246. 8:47are a channel for the universe to
  247. 8:50express
  248. 8:51itself and your job is to be as good a
  249. 8:54channel
  250. 8:54as you can and when you do that you can
  251. 8:57create stuff that you could not even
  252. 9:00have dreamed of
  253. 9:01because you're not doing it the universe
  254. 9:03is working through you and the universe
  255. 9:04can do anything
  256. 9:06your job is to be the instrument and
  257. 9:09when you do that that's when you find
  258. 9:11that you become
  259. 9:13you know a super achiever on a scale you
  260. 9:15can't even conceive of
  261. 9:17wow your job
  262. 9:20is to be the instrument people are
  263. 9:22saying this is awesome
  264. 9:24love that goosebumps
  265. 9:27so you say that the key to rapid growth
  266. 9:30is thinking differently
  267. 9:31okay and there again is that that apple
  268. 9:33analogy think differently
  269. 9:35give us an example yeah uh i must tell
  270. 9:38you here by the way that
  271. 9:39there is a slight cat thinking
  272. 9:41differently is not a new concert by the
  273. 9:43way okay all of you not only have heard
  274. 9:45of it but you
  275. 9:45embrace it how many of you have been
  276. 9:47told don't see the glasses
  277. 9:49off for half empty it's half full or
  278. 9:51every problem is an opportunity in
  279. 9:53disguise
  280. 9:55but despite that the vast majority of
  281. 9:58persons have great difficulty in
  282. 10:00thinking differently
  283. 10:01because we try to think differently by
  284. 10:04thinking differently
  285. 10:06it doesn't work what i share is a method
  286. 10:09by which you
  287. 10:10examine the mental models you hold which
  288. 10:13cause you to view the world in a
  289. 10:15particular manner and as you make
  290. 10:17changes in those models you literally
  291. 10:19become a different person and when you
  292. 10:21become a different person you don't have
  293. 10:23to think about thinking differently
  294. 10:25you think and behave differently as an
  295. 10:28organic
  296. 10:29progression let me give you an idea
  297. 10:32so we are all a bundle of wants we want
  298. 10:35stuff we want more money better house
  299. 10:37we want to have better relationships
  300. 10:39with our spouse we want our children to
  301. 10:41study hard and get into harvard we're
  302. 10:43always a bundle of warts
  303. 10:45and many of these wants create
  304. 10:47tremendous turbulence in our life
  305. 10:49and the way we try to deal with it is by
  306. 10:52saying you know what i've got to do is
  307. 10:54i've got all these
  308. 10:55these are the important ones and i've
  309. 10:56got to go out and satisfy these walls
  310. 10:59i've got to get
  311. 11:00what it is i want well
  312. 11:03there is an alternative and how about
  313. 11:06not trying to get what you want but
  314. 11:09seeing
  315. 11:09whether you really do have those ones
  316. 11:12are they
  317. 11:13serving your need or not can you
  318. 11:15remember stuff that you desperately
  319. 11:17wanted
  320. 11:18at some point in your life go back 10
  321. 11:21years at least
  322. 11:22and you may have gotten it or you may
  323. 11:24not have gotten it but it's not
  324. 11:26irrelevant to your life your outgrown
  325. 11:28your need for it
  326. 11:31i can think of that your audience
  327. 11:32whatever is troubling you now because
  328. 11:34you want it would you rather get it or
  329. 11:36would you rather
  330. 11:37outgrow your need for it
  331. 11:43by changing your thinking you think
  332. 11:46about things differently
  333. 11:47everything differently you think about
  334. 11:50your life differently
  335. 11:51you think about your profession
  336. 11:52differently
  337. 11:54and as you do that changes happen so raw
  338. 11:57i want you to
  339. 11:57to to repeat what you just said because
  340. 11:59there was a profound idea there and i
  341. 12:01remember you
  342. 12:02sharing this with me but i want to make
  343. 12:03sure the audience really get it
  344. 12:06the thing versus outgrowing your wants
  345. 12:09okay so look
  346. 12:13all the turmoil in your life right now
  347. 12:15and this is really
  348. 12:16important mission is caused by
  349. 12:19i want something to happen and it isn't
  350. 12:22happening
  351. 12:23or i want something and i don't have it
  352. 12:26that's always responsible for all the
  353. 12:28turmoil in your life
  354. 12:31so if you want something and you don't
  355. 12:33have it would you
  356. 12:34rather get what you want or would you
  357. 12:37rather
  358. 12:38outgrow your need for it so it genuinely
  359. 12:42doesn't trouble you anymore
  360. 12:44outgrow that want yes
  361. 12:48but what if but you just said that the
  362. 12:50universe uses us as a conduit
  363. 12:53what if what we want is this great
  364. 12:54product or this great company
  365. 12:56should we be outgrowing that one yes but
  366. 12:59you don't outgrow it by wanting to
  367. 13:01outgrow it you outgrow it by letting it
  368. 13:04happen
  369. 13:05because what happens is when you are
  370. 13:07this very strong one it's given to you
  371. 13:09for a reason you know that's your path
  372. 13:12your purpose in life to accomplish that
  373. 13:15so you quote unquote which is this
  374. 13:18body-mind
  375. 13:19intellect conflicts don't identify with
  376. 13:21that that is an
  377. 13:22instrument so feel yourself uh what you
  378. 13:25really
  379. 13:25are is you're playing a role all the
  380. 13:27time so play the role with as much
  381. 13:30gusto as you can let it happen and the
  382. 13:32universe will work through you to make
  383. 13:34it happen it may or may not happen in
  384. 13:36the exact
  385. 13:37manner in which you want it to happen
  386. 13:40but you will be there and you will be
  387. 13:41along for the ride and your job is to
  388. 13:44enjoy the ride every minute
  389. 13:47i loved that so what you're essentially
  390. 13:49talking about is the art of surrender
  391. 13:52completely and what you're saying is not
  392. 13:53don't have goals you're saying by the
  393. 13:55way your entrepreneurial vision
  394. 13:56is not yours you're a conduit the
  395. 13:58universe has chosen you to deliver this
  396. 14:00but you cannot be attached to that as a
  397. 14:02one you must have
  398. 14:04fun as you move towards it and that is
  399. 14:06the surrender
  400. 14:09you hit it and we should say i have this
  401. 14:12entrepreneurial urge that urge
  402. 14:14itself is a gift to you from the
  403. 14:17universe
  404. 14:19you didn't get the thought from nowhere
  405. 14:20it came to you because that
  406. 14:22you were the selected channel so be
  407. 14:25extremely grateful
  408. 14:26that you are that selected channel and
  409. 14:29then don't throw the gift away
  410. 14:32srikumar you know what this reminds me
  411. 14:34of
  412. 14:36so it reminds me of this poem uh so i
  413. 14:39want you guys to listen to me recite
  414. 14:40this poem
  415. 14:42it was written by an 83 year old man a
  416. 14:44hundred years ago
  417. 14:45and the poem goes like this i thought i
  418. 14:48was thought early in life
  419. 14:50to work as well as play my life has been
  420. 14:53one long happy holiday
  421. 14:55full of work full of play and god was
  422. 14:58good to me
  423. 14:59every day now can anybody guess who
  424. 15:01wrote that poem
  425. 15:02think about the nature of the poem work
  426. 15:05play
  427. 15:06my life was one long happy holiday god
  428. 15:08was good to me
  429. 15:09every day written 100 years ago
  430. 15:12it was written by john d rockefeller the
  431. 15:15richest man who ever
  432. 15:17lived the founder of standard oil john d
  433. 15:19rockefeller
  434. 15:20is was the richest american ever in
  435. 15:23history andrew carnegie was second
  436. 15:25he was richard and elon musk's today
  437. 15:27richard and jeff bezos yesterday
  438. 15:28but notice what he said in that poem it
  439. 15:31sure sounds like he was operating based
  440. 15:33on
  441. 15:34this vibration that you speak about when
  442. 15:37you are no longer the person who is
  443. 15:39doing it when things are happening
  444. 15:41through you not from you or by you
  445. 15:45you find not only things
  446. 15:48on an unimaginable scale come come true
  447. 15:52but at the same time you're enjoying the
  448. 15:55process
  449. 15:57that's what i wish for everyone on this
  450. 16:00call
  451. 16:01that you get up in the morning and you
  452. 16:02do what you're doing and you honestly
  453. 16:04don't know if you're working you're
  454. 16:06playing
  455. 16:12i'm sharing my screen right now this is
  456. 16:14the dent the universe
  457. 16:15um seminar right that we are
  458. 16:17collaborating to put on
  459. 16:19um so i've always wanted to attend this
  460. 16:21reek maraud seminar i
  461. 16:23was never able to travel to new york and
  462. 16:25so we have brought the seminar it's a
  463. 16:26three-day with then
  464. 16:27we have brought it on zoom and we have
  465. 16:29been able to lower the price
  466. 16:31uh dramatically it's april 30th to may
  467. 16:332nd and the seminar basically brings in
  468. 16:35the wisdom of all of these spiritual
  469. 16:37teachers
  470. 16:38into business now rao uh by the way this
  471. 16:41is mindvalley.com forward slash seminar
  472. 16:43if you want to see the same page right
  473. 16:45now rao you're bringing in wisdom from
  474. 16:47stoicism
  475. 16:48marcus aurelius seneca from gautama
  476. 16:50buddha
  477. 16:51from adi shankara who is a vedanta
  478. 16:54the advaita vedanta doctrine from lao
  479. 16:57zoo the creator of taoism
  480. 16:58from ramana maharshi whom you quote a
  481. 17:01lot the hindu sage
  482. 17:02as well as catholic mystics like saint
  483. 17:05francis of assisi
  484. 17:07and father anthony demelo out of
  485. 17:09curiosity what do all of these
  486. 17:11mystical teachings have to do with
  487. 17:13building a massive business
  488. 17:16uh what they have to do is with giving
  489. 17:19you
  490. 17:19a viewpoint on life and once they give
  491. 17:22you
  492. 17:23once you become anchored in what they
  493. 17:26share
  494. 17:27with you you become wonderful
  495. 17:30at what your role remember we're all
  496. 17:33playing a role what your role is
  497. 17:35and if your role is to be an
  498. 17:37entrepreneur then you build a great
  499. 17:39business
  500. 17:39but what if we go for the seminar hoping
  501. 17:41to help it become success and by the way
  502. 17:43this is not just for entrepreneurs if
  503. 17:45you're anyone working
  504. 17:46like today everyone has the
  505. 17:48entrepreneurial mindset even if you're
  506. 17:49working for a company you're building
  507. 17:51something you're creating something
  508. 17:53the seminar covers all of that right but
  509. 17:55but rao
  510. 17:57that puzzles um many people i guess
  511. 18:00because
  512. 18:01what if through these philosophies we
  513. 18:03discover that we're not meant to be the
  514. 18:05entrepreneur
  515. 18:06isn't then that then causing us to give
  516. 18:08up
  517. 18:09on our potential well if it turns out
  518. 18:12that your role is not to be an
  519. 18:13entrepreneur that's perfectly fine
  520. 18:17but in most cases when you have a
  521. 18:19deep-seated
  522. 18:21feeling yes i want to go out and build a
  523. 18:23great business that
  524. 18:25is your path in life but here is the
  525. 18:28thing
  526. 18:28vision that this leads me on to
  527. 18:30something else that i want to share with
  528. 18:32everybody
  529. 18:33there is only one thing we ever do in
  530. 18:36life
  531. 18:37and the only thing we ever do in life is
  532. 18:40we work on ourselves
  533. 18:42we think that you know i have to go off
  534. 18:46and
  535. 18:46i have to build this great business but
  536. 18:48in the process of building this great
  537. 18:50business what you're really doing
  538. 18:52is you're working on yourself you're a
  539. 18:54husband a wife
  540. 18:56a father a daughter in each of these
  541. 18:58roles what you're doing
  542. 19:00is you're using the tools given to you
  543. 19:02by
  544. 19:03the universe and you're using those
  545. 19:05tools to work on yourself
  546. 19:07and by working on yourself what i mean
  547. 19:09is you realize that you're playing a
  548. 19:11role and who you
  549. 19:13really are is not this particular
  550. 19:16body-mind intellect complex that you say
  551. 19:18is you that's a misidentification
  552. 19:21you are pure awareness that is
  553. 19:24beyond name beyond form beyond time
  554. 19:30so you're playing this role and the
  555. 19:32teachings of these great masters
  556. 19:34will get you closer to understanding
  557. 19:37your real nature
  558. 19:39and your entire life is nothing but a
  559. 19:41quest to recognize your real nature
  560. 19:43and it so happens that this
  561. 19:45entrepreneurial urge you have
  562. 19:48is a tool that you use and a business is
  563. 19:51like the swiss army knife of tools it's
  564. 19:53so worth the time
  565. 19:54and you use that and as you're doing it
  566. 19:57just working on yourself
  567. 19:59when you find great things are happening
  568. 20:01because the universe is working through
  569. 20:02you
  570. 20:04when you don't have the identification
  571. 20:06of i
  572. 20:07am making my business grow but
  573. 20:10my business is growing it's growing
  574. 20:12through me i'm very grateful to be the
  575. 20:14instrument through which my business is
  576. 20:15growing and you know what i'm going to
  577. 20:17do
  578. 20:17i'm going to have fun and all kinds of
  579. 20:20crap are going to happen
  580. 20:21you know key employees are going to lose
  581. 20:23customers are going to be dissatisfied
  582. 20:25this is all fun and games i
  583. 20:27have to solve the problems but in the
  584. 20:30business of solving the problems i'm
  585. 20:32really working on myself
  586. 20:34and that's the only thing i ever do this
  587. 20:37reminds me
  588. 20:38that this reminds me of a very common
  589. 20:40story i tell about you
  590. 20:41one of those like srikumarao wisdom
  591. 20:43bombs we were doing a big seminar
  592. 20:45in san diego and you got off stage and i
  593. 20:48was
  594. 20:49i was at the back kind of like making
  595. 20:50sure that things were going okay
  596. 20:52and you came up to me and and you said
  597. 20:54you know vishen
  598. 20:55we gotta talk i we we we have to
  599. 20:58collaborate we gotta change
  600. 20:59business school education and i said
  601. 21:01what's the problem with business schools
  602. 21:03and you said they don't teach
  603. 21:04consciousness and i said
  604. 21:06well they do they teach consciousness
  605. 21:08and you go no you're confusing
  606. 21:09consciousness and ethics ethics is like
  607. 21:11don't be like enron consciousness is
  608. 21:14different so i asked you well how would
  609. 21:16you teach consciousness
  610. 21:17and you said well the most important
  611. 21:19thing business schools have to teach us
  612. 21:21is that your business is not about what
  613. 21:25you think it is
  614. 21:27if your business fails it doesn't matter
  615. 21:30the real question is
  616. 21:31did you grow if your business hits a
  617. 21:33billion dollars it doesn't matter
  618. 21:35the real question is did you grow your
  619. 21:38business you see
  620. 21:39is nothing more than the ultimate
  621. 21:43vehicle for your personal growth and if
  622. 21:46you make your
  623. 21:47number one you will never feel
  624. 21:50overwhelmed or stressed again
  625. 21:52and that that simple conversation with
  626. 21:55you
  627. 21:55shifted the way i ran my business i
  628. 21:58stopped getting attached to the outcome
  629. 22:00and it helped me move towards a a phase
  630. 22:04of surrender
  631. 22:05if that resonated with you guys type in
  632. 22:07yes
  633. 22:08so so this is where um rouse wisdom
  634. 22:11bombs
  635. 22:12can so all of a sudden shift your mind
  636. 22:15and uh get you to view things in a new
  637. 22:19way ralph i'd love to ask um the next
  638. 22:22question
  639. 22:23so this question is actually from
  640. 22:25kristin juan tilburg kristen is here in
  641. 22:26the audience kristen thank you for your
  642. 22:28wonderful question
  643. 22:29and kristin asks what tool do you think
  644. 22:31is the most
  645. 22:32useful to build an unstoppable
  646. 22:35entrepreneurial mindset
  647. 22:36the tool that whatever i am doing
  648. 22:40is in some way going to bring a greater
  649. 22:43good to a greater community
  650. 22:45you have tremendous flexibility in
  651. 22:47defining both the greater good and the
  652. 22:49greater community
  653. 22:51but have your vision on this winter that
  654. 22:54i'm on
  655. 22:55how is it going to make life better
  656. 22:59for a west west number of people
  657. 23:03and it helps when you're thinking along
  658. 23:06those lines
  659. 23:07not only will it make life physically
  660. 23:09better in terms of convenience and so on
  661. 23:13but it will also contribute to the
  662. 23:16growth
  663. 23:17of the persons whom i am serving
  664. 23:20more embedded the more it will reflect
  665. 23:22itself
  666. 23:23in what you're doing beautiful
  667. 23:26by the way srikumar do you know and and
  668. 23:29and guys if you agree with that or if
  669. 23:30that resonated with you go ahead and
  670. 23:32share it in the chat
  671. 23:33shri kumar i just want to point out we
  672. 23:35just hit a new record 2
  673. 23:36700 people are live with us
  674. 23:40when i had priyanka chopra who's
  675. 23:42probably one of the most famous
  676. 23:44indian women in the world i think we
  677. 23:46were at 2500 so you just beat freaking
  678. 23:49priyanka chopra
  679. 23:50as you were a young boy growing up did
  680. 23:52you say someday
  681. 23:54i will have more people viewing me speak
  682. 23:56to vision than priyanka chopra
  683. 24:00and then i bet you just surrendered into
  684. 24:01that history
  685. 24:04congratulations you just beat the
  686. 24:05world's biggest bollywood star
  687. 24:09at least this conversation is getting
  688. 24:11bizarre never mind forget everything i
  689. 24:13just said
  690. 24:14so the next question let's quickly
  691. 24:16change the topic the next question
  692. 24:17is by alice larrybee so alice i'm gonna
  693. 24:21bring you up to ask a question
  694. 24:24alice your question is number one right
  695. 24:26now on the list
  696. 24:28alice you're now a panelist hi
  697. 24:32nice to meet you
  698. 24:35ah let's go ahead and ask us your
  699. 24:36question exactly as you wrote it
  700. 24:38because it got the most votes of any
  701. 24:40other question out there
  702. 24:42how to actually stop fearing the
  703. 24:44judgment of others and living
  704. 24:46for others okay this is something that
  705. 24:49gets into
  706. 24:50us all the time and i want to turn your
  707. 24:53question
  708. 24:54around when you say stop fearing the
  709. 24:56judgment of others
  710. 24:58what you're really doing is you're being
  711. 25:01very
  712. 25:01me centered i'm the center of the
  713. 25:04universe
  714. 25:05and what do they think about me
  715. 25:08and they're going to pass judgment
  716. 25:23what do i have to do that will be a
  717. 25:25benefit
  718. 25:26for others and you put your emotional
  719. 25:29energy
  720. 25:30there and when you put your emotional
  721. 25:33energy
  722. 25:34there then you stop being self-conscious
  723. 25:37i'll give you an example so i'm a public
  724. 25:41speaker and sometimes
  725. 25:42i have very large audiences sometimes
  726. 25:44i've had live audience in
  727. 25:46audiences in the thousands and i'm
  728. 25:49indian
  729. 25:49and i grew up learning english by
  730. 25:52reading
  731. 25:53rather than by speaking so you know
  732. 25:55english is a peculiar language and words
  733. 25:57are not always pronounced
  734. 25:59the way they're spelled so i
  735. 26:01mispronounce words and i put the accent
  736. 26:03on the wrong turn
  737. 26:04you know people start laughing and i
  738. 26:07used to be very self-conscious about
  739. 26:09that what will they think about it
  740. 26:12until i realize that people come to my
  741. 26:14talks because
  742. 26:15they think i have something of value to
  743. 26:18contribute to them and if i focus on
  744. 26:20what am i saying and will this
  745. 26:24be of use to them will it help them
  746. 26:27and that's what i focus on then my fear
  747. 26:30of what they think of me goes away
  748. 26:31and if i mispronounce a word so
  749. 26:33egregiously that
  750. 26:35everybody bursts out laughing then i
  751. 26:37brought some laughter into their life
  752. 26:39and that's fantastic
  753. 26:40and the moment i started thinking of
  754. 26:42that all fear left me
  755. 26:44so whenever you're fearing the judgment
  756. 26:46of others you're being be centered
  757. 26:49don't think about what will they think
  758. 26:51of me think about
  759. 26:52do i have something to do which will
  760. 26:54make their lives better
  761. 26:55in some small fashion and pour your
  762. 26:58emotional energy into that
  763. 27:00and then you'll stop thinking about you
  764. 27:02know what do they think of you
  765. 27:04and i want to share something else with
  766. 27:06you we spend way too much time
  767. 27:08worrying about what others will think of
  768. 27:10us and i can tell you what they will
  769. 27:12think of you
  770. 27:13they won't think of you we go through
  771. 27:15life watching the movie of our life and
  772. 27:18we think everybody is watching the movie
  773. 27:20of our life
  774. 27:21they're not they're watching the movie
  775. 27:23of their life
  776. 27:25and in the movie of their life you're a
  777. 27:27bit player if you figure at
  778. 27:28all so don't worry about what they'll
  779. 27:31think what are they thinking of me or
  780. 27:33what
  781. 27:34will they think of me they are not
  782. 27:36thinking of you and they won't think of
  783. 27:38you
  784. 27:39so relax into that okay thank you
  785. 27:43you're very welcome and thank you for
  786. 27:45asking a great question
  787. 27:46yeah thank you so much alice thank you
  788. 27:50so i'm going to make alice back in
  789. 27:52attending we're going to go on to the
  790. 27:53next question
  791. 27:54so the next question is from cassidy
  792. 27:57cassidy i'd like to bring you up
  793. 27:59okay so i'm going to
  794. 28:02make you a panelist and you can go ahead
  795. 28:05and ask your
  796. 28:06your question with again tons of votes
  797. 28:08to srikumarao
  798. 28:10hello hi cassidy where are you
  799. 28:14i am in a rocking chair
  800. 28:19okay um so i just wanted to ask what are
  801. 28:22ways to immerse yourself and the journey
  802. 28:24instead of the destination when you have
  803. 28:26big goals
  804. 28:29when you have big goals don't think
  805. 28:32about the goals
  806. 28:33because one of the things that we have a
  807. 28:35predicament is
  808. 28:36we always want to know how is it going
  809. 28:38to happen you know i've got this big
  810. 28:39business
  811. 28:39idea and i'm going to need financing and
  812. 28:42i'm going to need all of these people
  813. 28:43and they have to come together how is it
  814. 28:45all going to happen
  815. 28:46and we're all hung up and how is it all
  816. 28:48going to happen and we want to know
  817. 28:51the reality is you never really know
  818. 28:53when jeff bezos
  819. 28:54started amazon he had no idea where it
  820. 28:56would grow and how it would
  821. 28:58grow and what what it would mean to that
  822. 28:59you know at that time he was just
  823. 29:01selling books
  824. 29:02so your job is to take the first
  825. 29:06step you know the journey of a thousand
  826. 29:08miles always begins with a single step
  827. 29:11you have to take the single step from
  828. 29:13where you are you can't say the journey
  829. 29:15of a mile begins with a single step and
  830. 29:17i'm going to take that step from over
  831. 29:19there
  832. 29:20you always take the step from where you
  833. 29:22are
  834. 29:23so recognize and make peace with the
  835. 29:25fact that all you need to know
  836. 29:27is what the next step is going to be
  837. 29:31you do not necessarily need to know nor
  838. 29:34will you know all of the things that
  839. 29:37have to happen or will happen
  840. 29:39as you grow so take that first step with
  841. 29:41confidence
  842. 29:43and as we talked about earlier with
  843. 29:45vishen the real
  844. 29:47objective here the real thing that's
  845. 29:49happening is your personal growth
  846. 29:52and maybe your personal growth will come
  847. 29:54about by
  848. 29:55starting a venture which never gets
  849. 29:57anywhere and fails disastrously
  850. 29:59that's fine or maybe you'll build
  851. 30:02another
  852. 30:03amazon or equivalent that's fine too
  853. 30:06more likely it'll be somewhere in
  854. 30:07between
  855. 30:08and that's okay your job is to grow
  856. 30:12to enjoy the growth and live
  857. 30:15each day radiantly alive
  858. 30:19wow that's beautiful thank you so much
  859. 30:21you're very welcome
  860. 30:22thank you so much for your question
  861. 30:24cassidy that was a beautiful question
  862. 30:26srikaman that reminded me of a really
  863. 30:28powerful line i read in the book
  864. 30:30think and grow rich by napoleon hill
  865. 30:32right he talks about baby steps he says
  866. 30:34you don't have to know the entire path
  867. 30:36forward
  868. 30:36just take a baby step the baby step
  869. 30:38shows the universe intent
  870. 30:40and the universe rewards intent
  871. 30:44so another way of putting it you take
  872. 30:46one step in the direction of your dream
  873. 30:48and the universe will take
  874. 30:5010. i love that so i get questions from
  875. 30:53the audience but you want to give me a
  876. 30:55list
  877. 30:56no because it says in matthew someplace
  878. 31:00to him that hath shall more be given
  879. 31:04for a long time that bothered me you
  880. 31:06know to him that hath will more be given
  881. 31:08why does the bible say that you know
  882. 31:10isn't it unfair shouldn't you give to
  883. 31:12the people who don't have as a person
  884. 31:15the people have but what it really was
  885. 31:17referring to
  886. 31:18is their grounding in a spiritual
  887. 31:21principle when you're grounded in it you
  888. 31:24have everything that you really need
  889. 31:26and when you have everything you really
  890. 31:28need more
  891. 31:29will be given because you are now
  892. 31:32a vehicle for the distribution of
  893. 31:36that more i love that
  894. 31:39what is something that you have to be
  895. 31:41anchoring
  896. 31:44well when i asked you for four
  897. 31:46interesting topics to discuss today
  898. 31:47one of the topics you gave me was this
  899. 31:49and i bet this is going to resonate with
  900. 31:50a lot of people because i'm seeing
  901. 31:52questions
  902. 31:53uh like this so sneha asks how do i
  903. 31:56create a successful business
  904. 31:57say teaching meditation uh without
  905. 32:00having a large network of contacts
  906. 32:02friends and acquaintances
  907. 32:03and one of the questions you said you'd
  908. 32:05love to answer today so i'd like you to
  909. 32:06answer this so that people like sneha or
  910. 32:08anyone else can relate
  911. 32:10is how can entrepreneurs increase
  912. 32:13revenue
  913. 32:14by not selling this
  914. 32:17is one of the uh things that i really
  915. 32:20want to get across
  916. 32:22most of us think building a business is
  917. 32:25oh you know i've got to go out and i
  918. 32:27have this product and i have to sell
  919. 32:29this product it's a transaction i give
  920. 32:33you this product you give me money
  921. 32:36of course many successful businesses
  922. 32:38have been built that way and i'm not
  923. 32:40knocking it but i'm saying that there is
  924. 32:42a better way
  925. 32:43and the better way is you do not try to
  926. 32:46sell anything to anyone you educate them
  927. 32:50ideally you should be in a process
  928. 32:53where you are serving someone and the
  929. 32:55idea is not to make a say
  930. 32:57make a sale but the idea is to educate
  931. 32:59someone
  932. 33:00in a process by which he or she
  933. 33:02recognizes
  934. 33:04you know what i really need in my life
  935. 33:06is to acquire this
  936. 33:07product so i'll give you an example
  937. 33:10uh take a mundane example take a car
  938. 33:13dealership
  939. 33:14so somebody comes into your car
  940. 33:16dealership and you're looking around
  941. 33:18and the person typically says uh
  942. 33:21can i help you and what's your
  943. 33:23instinctive reaction oh i'm just looking
  944. 33:25around you put your hands up
  945. 33:27you don't want to be bothered by pesky
  946. 33:29salespeople
  947. 33:30so recognize that this is going on you
  948. 33:33have a customer who's coming in he may
  949. 33:35or may not have needs he certainly
  950. 33:37doesn't want to be
  951. 33:38sold a car so what if you make it open
  952. 33:41you know may i help you with something
  953. 33:45sir or
  954. 33:46would you rather just look around
  955. 33:49by explicitly giving him the offer would
  956. 33:51you rather just look around
  957. 33:53you're making it easier for him you know
  958. 33:56he doesn't have to get defensive and say
  959. 33:58i'm just looking around you giving that
  960. 33:59as an explicit
  961. 34:01offer and then you ask him
  962. 34:04are you ready to buy a car today or are
  963. 34:08you just uh you know looking for
  964. 34:10information
  965. 34:11and if he engages with you say okay if
  966. 34:14you're looking for a car
  967. 34:15here are the three models that you
  968. 34:18should consider
  969. 34:19and be sure that at least a couple of
  970. 34:21those models are not
  971. 34:22models that you sell the idea is what
  972. 34:26you're doing is here
  973. 34:27is a human being who has a problem
  974. 34:31and i have a great deal of knowledge
  975. 34:33about his problem
  976. 34:34and i'm going to help him and it's
  977. 34:36possible that what i have to offer is
  978. 34:38what he needs and it's also possible
  979. 34:40that he'll really be better served
  980. 34:42by some other product that i do not
  981. 34:44offer
  982. 34:45and you let him have that and when you
  983. 34:48convey that
  984. 34:49it's amazing the success you have now
  985. 34:52you have a perfect example of this and
  986. 34:55you did you ever meet tony shane's
  987. 34:57mission
  988. 34:58i did yeah the zappos uh the founder of
  989. 35:00that was guy
  990. 35:01tony was a frequent guest lecturer in my
  991. 35:04course and one time i did a
  992. 35:06huge uh uh
  993. 35:09workshop for a client who this is a hong
  994. 35:12kong client who bought
  995. 35:1360 of his key executives over to america
  996. 35:16and the only business thing they did was
  997. 35:18a workshop with me
  998. 35:19and i had tony it was in las vegas so it
  999. 35:21was easy for me to have tony
1000. 35:23speak but the important thing is the
  1001. 35:26following
1002. 35:27tony encouraged all zappos employees to
  1003. 35:30say
1004. 35:31if a customer calls and he needs
  1005. 35:33something that you don't have
1006. 35:34make a quick call to competitor who has
1007. 35:38and make sure that your customer gets it
1008. 35:40and the idea is very simple you're
  1009. 35:42helping the customer you're creating a
  1010. 35:44wow experience
1011. 35:45you're not trying to sell him something
1012. 35:47if you can help him and the way
1013. 35:50involves the product that you supply
  1014. 35:52wonderful but if it's a competitor's
  1015. 35:53product do it anyway
1016. 35:55when you have that kind of an attitude
1017. 35:57you'll be surprised how the universe
  1018. 35:59opens up
1019. 36:00in all kinds of totally unexpected ways
1020. 36:04thank you rao so what i want to do right
  1021. 36:07now is
1022. 36:08i want to tell you about the seminar
  1023. 36:09that we're doing with rao because i know
1024. 36:11a lot of you guys are going to be
  1025. 36:12interested
1026. 36:12so we'll just take five minutes for that
1027. 36:14i'll show you where to get the
1028. 36:15information then you can decide
1029. 36:17and then we're going to come back to the
1030. 36:18following two questions how can you grow
  1031. 36:20your business like a rocket
  1032. 36:22by thinking differently and then we're
  1033. 36:25going to explore this
1034. 36:26conversation why you cannot find the
  1035. 36:28keys to your happiness
1036. 36:30so rau i'm just going to share the um
  1037. 36:33the seminar page it's
1038. 36:34mindvalley.com forward slash seminar and
  1039. 36:38there you will see
1040. 36:38the information on the dent the universe
1041. 36:41seminar an immersion in superior impact
  1042. 36:43entrepreneurship and spiritual mastery
1043. 36:46now i got rejected from every mba school
  1044. 36:48i applied to i just didn't have the
  1045. 36:49grades
  1046. 36:50and i had to figure out building a
1047. 36:52business on my own and i was honored
1048. 36:54that i could get mentors like rao
1049. 36:56that could help me build the company
  1050. 36:58that that
1051. 36:59um that i have today mindvalley recently
  1052. 37:02got awarded
1053. 37:03um um the an award here in estonia
1054. 37:07and estonia by the way has the highest
1055. 37:08number of startups per capita
1056. 37:10it's one of the most entrepreneurial
1057. 37:12countries in the world and we got
  1058. 37:13awarded an award
1059. 37:14um for having the fastest growth
1060. 37:18without any venture capital and
1061. 37:22part of that i would say has been the
  1062. 37:25mindset
1063. 37:26and that mindset part of it i can thank
1064. 37:29this gentleman srikumar rao for now in
1065. 37:31this class what you're going to learn
1066. 37:32is you're going to learn how to bring
1067. 37:34the wisdom from all of these
  1068. 37:36legendary philosophers into your
  1069. 37:38business
1070. 37:39i could say that the greatest thing i
1071. 37:41learned from rao and by the way if you
  1072. 37:42don't know about rao
1073. 37:44he holds a phd in marketing from
  1074. 37:45columbia university a degree in physics
  1075. 37:48from delhi university an
1076. 37:49mba from the prestigious india institute
  1077. 37:52of management
  1078. 37:53uh he's been recognized as a pioneer in
1079. 37:55the field of motivation and resilience
1080. 37:57he was one of the first people in the
1081. 37:59world who ted put on their front page
1082. 38:02a talk of his which wasn't even on a ted
1083. 38:05talk it was not an official ted talk but
  1084. 38:06it was so good
1085. 38:08ted put that talk on the front page of
  1086. 38:09their website now i discovered
1087. 38:11srikumarao because of the famous talk
1088. 38:13he had given in google google hq
1089. 38:17uh this was like 2007 2008 and that talk
1090. 38:20was what captivated me to this man's
  1091. 38:22work
1092. 38:22now when you go to this seminar again
1093. 38:24the seminar is friday saturday sunday
  1094. 38:27april 30th to may 2nd
  1095. 38:30it's from 9 to three p.m then there's a
  1096. 38:32two-hour break
  1097. 38:33then five to 11 p.m gmt okay so
1098. 38:36we we had to pick a time our mind value
  1099. 38:38audience is so global
1100. 38:40we have to pick a time that works for
  1101. 38:42everyone but again
1102. 38:43yes you might have to work up after
  1103. 38:46dinner but i can promise you
1104. 38:48being in this seminar is not like an mba
  1105. 38:51seminar
1106. 38:52you are inspired all day and when you
  1107. 38:54get back to work
  1108. 38:55you're operating with a new level with a
  1109. 38:58new way
1110. 38:58of operation you see the people who take
1111. 39:01these seminars look at that
  1112. 39:02mba 2003 columbia business school mba
  1113. 39:05harvard business school
1114. 39:07these are some of the world's smartest
1115. 39:09people attending these classes with rao
  1116. 39:11now
1117. 39:11when you go here you can see the
  1118. 39:13curriculum the first day
1119. 39:14is on changing your mental models now
1120. 39:17one of the mental models
1121. 39:18i learned from rao is to is to shift
  1122. 39:20your
1123. 39:21your model in such a way that stress no
  1124. 39:24longer hurts you
  1125. 39:25overwhelm doesn't touch you so i can run
  1126. 39:27a massive business
1127. 39:29and i can go through incredibly what
1128. 39:32normal people would think stressful
1129. 39:34without the burden of stress
1130. 39:36which is why i've been able to stay
  1131. 39:38really healthy
  1132. 39:40um even though i run a 400 person
  1133. 39:42organization
  1134. 39:43and i'm 45 years old most people say i
  1135. 39:46look significantly younger than i am
1136. 39:47and you can see i still have a foot head
1137. 39:49full head of hair and stuff uh and i'm
  1138. 39:51in really good shape
1139. 39:52because stress dare not uh touch me
1140. 39:55and every entrepreneur should learn this
1141. 39:57there are so many myths that we buy
1142. 39:59into in this human journey that we do
1143. 40:02not have to buy into
1144. 40:03you can build a billion dollar business
1145. 40:05while still being in peak health and
  1146. 40:07having
1147. 40:08every other aspect of your life thriving
1148. 40:10and that brings us to day two
  1149. 40:12resilience cultivating extreme
  1150. 40:14resilience
1151. 40:16call it resilience call it grit call it
  1152. 40:18immunity to overwhelm
1153. 40:19but these things no longer impact you
  1154. 40:22and in day three
1155. 40:23that's when it gets really interesting
1156. 40:25you get to break free from the matrix
1157. 40:27now the good thing about this seminar is
1158. 40:29you can try it out
1159. 40:31you don't have to commit to it you can
  1160. 40:33buy a ticket you can attend
1161. 40:35all of day one all of day one and at the
  1162. 40:37end of day one
1163. 40:38you can go in with one button just give
  1164. 40:40yourself a refund okay
  1165. 40:41mindvalley has a one-click refund policy
  1166. 40:44you don't have to write a letter
1167. 40:45you don't have to make an excuse one one
  1168. 40:47click and you get a refund
1169. 40:49so you get to experience this for
1170. 40:51yourself when you go to the seminar
1171. 40:53you're also going to get all the
1172. 40:54recordings so if you can't you know if
1173. 40:55you certainly have to leave for your
1174. 40:56child you get the recordings
1175. 40:58you're going to get a certificate think
1176. 41:00about what this would mean
1177. 41:02adding this to your linkedin it's going
1178. 41:04to definitely help you get more
1179. 41:06jobs imagine your linkedin saying
1180. 41:08graduate of the dent the universe
  1181. 41:10seminar
1182. 41:11by legendary mba professor shri kumar
  1183. 41:13rao
1184. 41:14i know i would hire instantly anyone
1185. 41:18who has graduated from a dent the
  1186. 41:19freaking universe seminar because i love
1187. 41:21that phrase from steve jobs
1188. 41:23now the best part is this when rao was
1189. 41:25teaching at the mba schools one of the

1255. 43:29seminar you can ask it
1256. 43:31in the in the chat and srikamarao
1257. 43:35i want to ask you the next question how
1258. 43:37do you grow your business
  1259. 43:39like a rocket by thinking differently
1260. 43:43all right let me explain with an
  1261. 43:47actual case study vision
1262. 43:50so there was this guy who got fed up of
1263. 43:53being in the corporate world
1264. 43:55and he wanted to be in business for
  1265. 43:56himself and he bought a printing
  1266. 43:58franchise
1267. 44:00and he set up in a strip mall the only
1268. 44:04problem was that when he set up in this
  1269. 44:06strip
1270. 44:06wall there were four other printing you
  1271. 44:10know there's a whole pile of them this
  1272. 44:12is speedys there's vip there's a whole
  1273. 44:14bunch of them
1274. 44:15and there were four others within a
1275. 44:1810-minute walk from his place
1276. 44:20so how the hell was he going to grow his
  1277. 44:22business
1278. 44:24he tried what people normally do which
1279. 44:26is hey come in i'll give you 100 free
1280. 44:28business cards and people do that
1281. 44:31and it didn't work so then he did
1282. 44:35something differently see what happens
1283. 44:37is most people when they say we'll give
1284. 44:39you 100 free business cards and you go
  1285. 44:41in for that
1286. 44:42and what they give you is they give you
  1287. 44:44black and white
1288. 44:46cards printed or jeep stock in the hope
  1289. 44:48that you will upgrade
  1290. 44:50to a better one he had a totally
  1291. 44:52different approach
1292. 44:54what he did is he sent a very
1293. 44:57well written letter which was hand
  1294. 45:00delivered and he picked
1295. 45:01those people to whom they were hand
  1296. 45:03delivered
1297. 45:05pizza parlors and fast food restaurants
  1298. 45:08did
1299. 45:08not get it accounting firms
1300. 45:12legal firms got it and what he did was
  1301. 45:16deliver them a brochure which said
1302. 45:20what does your business card and
  1303. 45:23stationery say
1304. 45:25about your business and he explained
1305. 45:28that in the absence of other information
1306. 45:30most people make a judgment about your
  1307. 45:32business based upon
1308. 45:33your stationery which is the first thing
1309. 45:35they see in the business card
1310. 45:38and at the end of that informative
  1311. 45:40article he had
1312. 45:41an offer please send me your business
  1313. 45:44card
1314. 45:45and letterhead and i will explain to you
  1315. 45:48what impression it conveys
1316. 45:51so obviously a number of people did uh
  1317. 45:53send in that
1318. 45:55and he wrote a thoughtful analysis of
  1319. 45:57that saying and
1320. 45:58along with that thoughtful analysis he
  1321. 46:00also
  1322. 46:01created a different business card and
1323. 46:04a different letterhead and sent it back
1324. 46:07and said by the way
  1325. 46:08if you're interested i'll be very happy
  1326. 46:11to
1327. 46:12give you a hundred free cards and of
1328. 46:15course they took him up on that and he
  1329. 46:16sent them a hundred business cards
1330. 46:19but these were not cheap black and white
  1331. 46:22stuff these were
1332. 46:23all you know full color on good stock
1333. 46:26and sometimes they were even engraved
  1334. 46:28which makes it
1335. 46:29really expensive but when he sent them
1336. 46:32the hundred they also sent them
1337. 46:34a by the way if you like this how about
  1338. 46:37transferring your
1339. 46:38entire stock and i will give you just
1340. 46:42submit the bill from your last printer
  1341. 46:44and i will credit you 50
1342. 46:46of that off your order
1343. 46:49and you know people responded to that
  1344. 46:52and
1345. 46:52nobody ever haggled with price once he
  1346. 46:55had
1347. 46:56this uh the initial order down they
1348. 46:59would order from him regularly like
  1349. 47:01clockwork
1350. 47:02and in less than an year he was more
  1351. 47:04profitable than he
1352. 47:06ever thought he would be this is an
  1353. 47:09example
1354. 47:10of thinking differently but it's also an
  1355. 47:12example of something
  1356. 47:13else it's an example of strategically
  1357. 47:18thinking
1358. 47:19how can i be of service to my clients
1359. 47:23you don't sell your clients you educate
  1360. 47:26your clients
1361. 47:29and if you remember that your job is to
  1362. 47:31educate the clients
1363. 47:32and help them see how perhaps what you
  1364. 47:35are offering
1365. 47:36is in their best interest you don't sell
  1366. 47:39them they buy
1367. 47:40people like to buy they hate to be sold
1368. 47:43so don't buy thank you thank you
  1369. 47:47now that there's something else there's
1370. 47:49something else that you do
1371. 47:50in your teaching which is really
1372. 47:52interesting because when people hear
  1373. 47:52that idea they're like okay
  1374. 47:54i i get that that's cool but i got to be
1375. 47:56really creative to come up with these
1376. 47:58ideas for educating right i got to have
1377. 48:00this brilliant creative mind to come up
1378. 48:01with all of these unique new ways to
1379. 48:03sell and educate and grow the business
1380. 48:05but what people don't realize is that
  1381. 48:07there is a secret
1382. 48:09in the the state of surrender
1383. 48:12that you put entrepreneurs in when you
  1384. 48:15get into that state
  1385. 48:17where you're at peace with everything
  1386. 48:19and life
1387. 48:20where stress and overwhelm are not
  1388. 48:21touching you your brain
1389. 48:23automatically becomes more intuitive and
1390. 48:26the right ideas flow to you
1391. 48:28i believe john d rockefeller became the
1392. 48:30richest man who ever lived
1393. 48:31because as he said in his poem his life
  1394. 48:34was one
1395. 48:35long happy holiday he knew
1396. 48:38to walk that line between intensity
1397. 48:41and peace and when you and he was a man
1398. 48:45who moved into that state of surrender
1399. 48:47you can tell it from his writings from
1400. 48:48his phones and so on and i think
1401. 48:51you teach us how to get there and that's
  1402. 48:53when the ideas flow
1403. 48:54i bet all of you in the comments can can
  1404. 48:56relate you've been in those
1405. 48:57peaceful states and the ideas flow to
1406. 49:00you it made be meditation it may be when
1407. 49:02you're taking a shower and you have an
  1408. 49:03eureka moment
1409. 49:05but the mistake i know i made as an
  1410. 49:07entrepreneur
1411. 49:08is that i would get stuck when i was
  1412. 49:10working hard
  1413. 49:11because i didn't know what the right
1414. 49:13action was but when i was able to
1415. 49:15move into surrender the right person the
1416. 49:18right synchronicity the right idea would
  1417. 49:20come into my life
1418. 49:21and very often it would seem almost
  1419. 49:24magical
  1420. 49:25like literally magical i i need to solve
1421. 49:28a problem and i go out to a party
1422. 49:30and there is the guy who has the
1423. 49:32knowledge and we click and he mentors me
1424. 49:35that's the way life works vision
1425. 49:39and you can make it happen that way
  1426. 49:42consciously
1427. 49:44so this brings us to the final question
  1428. 49:47today
1429. 49:48why why we cannot find the keys to
  1430. 49:51our happiness because we're looking in
1431. 49:54all the wrong places we should
1432. 49:56it's like this uh let me tell you a
  1433. 49:59story
1434. 50:00there was this man in faultless evening
  1435. 50:02clothes
1436. 50:03and he was standing under a street like
  1437. 50:06searching
1438. 50:07and a jogger ran past and then he
1439. 50:09circled back and said hey you seem
  1440. 50:10trouble there's something wrong and the
  1441. 50:12man says
1442. 50:13i lost my car keys and the joker says no
1443. 50:16problem i'll help you find them and he
1444. 50:18bends down and leaves and you know looks
1445. 50:20around and after a few minutes he says
  1446. 50:22look i searched pretty hard but i
1447. 50:25couldn't find the car keys where did you
  1448. 50:26drop them
1449. 50:28and the man in evening clothes says i
1450. 50:29dropped them over there and the dog is
  1451. 50:31upset he says
1452. 50:32why are you searching for your keys here
1453. 50:34if you drop them there
1454. 50:35and the man says well it's dark there it
  1455. 50:38is light here so i thought i'd search
  1456. 50:40here
1457. 50:41now everybody recognizes that this is
  1458. 50:44a semi-funny joke told in a semi-good
  1459. 50:48manner but it's supposed to be a joke
1460. 50:51but actually that's what we do in all
  1461. 50:53our lives
1462. 50:54because what happens is we have this
1463. 50:56need we feel unfulfilled we feel
1464. 50:59you know about wanting ourselves and we
1465. 51:02go out and do desperate things
1466. 51:04outside you know i got to build a better
  1467. 51:06business i got to have a better partner
1468. 51:08i got to buy a bigger house and we're
1469. 51:11always looking for that fulfillment
1470. 51:13and the principle i want to share with
  1471. 51:16you is you can
1472. 51:17never solve an internal problem
1473. 51:21with external action let me repeat that
  1474. 51:25you can
1475. 51:25never solve an internal problem
  1476. 51:29with external action but that's what
  1477. 51:32we're all
  1478. 51:33trying to do it's no different
1479. 51:36from searching in here when you drop
  1480. 51:38them
  1481. 51:39over there
1482. 51:42beautiful thank you so much so much for
  1483. 51:45sharing that
  1484. 51:59you
