1. 0:09Hi, it's Zizaran here with another video
2. 0:11and this is going to be my first
3. 0:13impressions day one sort of just talking
4. 0:15about how launch went for 329 and I
5. 0:19started with Luminary and I'm playing
6. 0:21alongside Steel Mage and basically using
7. 0:23him as a pseudo mercenary in case the
8. 0:25actual hireable mercenaries weren't as
9. 0:26strong.
10. 0:28Very glad I did that by the way and I'm
11. 0:29also feeling very justified for having
12. 0:32so many warnings in my Luminary guide.
13. 0:35Now, for those that watch all of my
14. 0:36videos, you noticed that I posted mostly
15. 0:38really really safe league starters that
16. 0:40was like these will guarantee you have a
17. 0:42good league start and then I posted the
18. 0:44Luminary and I was like
19. 0:46don't play this until unless you're
20. 0:48like, you know, really confident and
21. 0:52it's a risky build, right? And I said
22. 0:54only play this if you're very willing to
23. 0:55just okay, [ __ ] it. We're re-rolling
24. 0:57something else. And for a lot of people,
25. 0:59that's what's any of them happening
26. 1:00right now. I've seen a few people like
27. 1:02Alana and stuff have been able to make
28. 1:03it work on trade league. I think a lot
29. 1:05of people are going to have a really bad
30. 1:06experience with Luminary. I'm going to
31. 1:08send another 20, maybe 30 maps
32. 1:11um trying to get a better merc for
33. 1:13myself right now. It's just a little bit
34. 1:16too much needs to line up for the
35. 1:17Luminary and in solo self-found when I
36. 1:19don't have access to like the fire
37. 1:21penetration ring, the Amethyst ring, a
38. 1:22lot better as the second character. It
39. 1:24seems like a lot of people are already
40. 1:25getting into like 10 million DPS on
41. 1:27trade league. A lot of all a lot of
42. 1:28those things that I need on hardcore SSF
43. 1:32or SSF plus plus
44. 1:33is uh a lot harder. So, I'm most likely
45. 1:36re-rolling Essence Drain that
46. 1:37collaborated with Karvatha
47. 1:39and then I'm going to farm like Legion,
48. 1:41start doing bosses and I think that'll
49. 1:43be fine. I wouldn't be shocked if GGG
50. 1:45like panic buffs mercs because so many
51. 1:47people are complaining and struggling
52. 1:48about it. But, uh either way, I am
53. 1:52currently in turn nine maps. This is the
54. 1:55most I'm able to solo at the moment.
55. 1:57And I can do a quick run with mine. It
56. 2:00isn't awful, but I'm very, very used to
57. 2:04being in tier 16 maps 6 hours after
58. 2:06launch.
59. 2:07And it's 14 hours. I actually was so
60. 2:10tired on day one for some reason, so I
61. 2:11only managed 14 hours. So, I woke up way
62. 2:13too early. But, let's show like
63. 2:16tier four map just as an example.
64. 2:19Um I actually don't want to multi
65. 2:20project on this. I'm
66. 2:22trying to be really, really careful off
67. 2:23stream as well to make sure I don't die.
68. 2:25Um but, let me just show you.
69. 2:27So, what I've been doing is I've been
70. 2:28just like rushing strand.
71. 2:31Trying to get a good merc. So, on the
72. 2:34atlas I just I like rushed a lot of the
73. 2:36merc nodes. And right now I'm trying for
74. 2:37a many shot. I can't remember what it's
75. 2:39called right now. The bow. Person. The
76. 2:42kinetic system is just so hard to farm.
77. 2:45As you can see, um
78. 2:48if I'm spamming anything like tier six
79. 2:50and below with no tank mods, it's pretty
80. 2:53playable already.
81. 2:55But, the the problem is that the stuff I
82. 2:57need to take it further is quite a lot.
83. 3:01Like it's not something that I can just
84. 3:02like keep farming.
85. 3:04Um I would need to hit like a really,
86. 3:06really good merc.
87. 3:08And ideally I want the merc to be in
88. 3:09higher maps. Now, the problem with that
89. 3:11is that these mercs are also like so
90. 3:14so scary in higher maps.
91. 3:16So, like Lance even on softcore is
92. 3:19getting like kind of owned
93. 3:21by um
94. 3:24by some of the mercs like the ice shot
95. 3:25ones are very dangerous. So,
96. 3:28yeah. I I do think it'll be a fine
97. 3:30build. Wouldn't be surprised if GGG
98. 3:31panic buffs it cuz so many people are
99. 3:33struggling. But, I'm somebody that I
100. 3:35really knows how to fix builds.
101. 3:38And it is hard. It's not been like a
102. 3:40super good experience solo. If you are
103. 3:43in a duo, this was really, really good.
104. 3:47Um it's one of the smoothest campaigns
105. 3:48I've ever had cuz I I steel mage's
106. 3:50damage by more eight times. Just the
107. 3:53flame link six axes his damage and then
108. 3:57you get the storm blast mine and
109. 4:00smite on top of that. So, we were like
110. 4:02one tapping anything in the campaign,
111. 4:04but um
112. 4:06now that like we're playing solo and
113. 4:08stuff, it's definitely like rougher. So,
114. 4:10I'm able to solo tier nine maps and the
115. 4:13map itself goes very fast and then a
116. 4:16single target ends up being slower.
117. 4:19Um
118. 4:21As you can see here, I've got it down
119. 4:22like
120. 4:24playable,
121. 4:25but I'm not a big fan of playable.
122. 4:28So, if I had things in the short term I
123. 4:31could work towards that would like
124. 4:32really really solve it, I would
125. 4:34continue. So, that's why I'm going to
126. 4:35send another 20, maybe 30 maps, see if I
127. 4:37get a good mini shot, and if I get a
128. 4:39really good mini shot, I might just keep
129. 4:41playing this because it is so tanky.
130. 4:43It's such a good hardcore build. I have
131. 4:458,000 life at level 87. My gear is
132. 4:49nothing crazy.
133. 4:51So,
134. 4:52and like I have a ear and a numb numb
135. 4:54for the 20% light radius. Now, there is
136. 4:56a new amulet that I can't remember the
137. 4:57name of
138. 4:58uh that comes from the clam shells in
139. 5:00the depths.
140. 5:02Uh I think it's like Rotmother's
141. 5:03something.
142. 5:04Rotmother's Mutiny. That is really good.
143. 5:07It's like max res, chaos res, res, and
144. 5:09and [ __ ] tons up to 75 light radius.
145. 5:12Nuts. So, I'm I'm trying to get that
146. 5:14too.
147. 5:14But, yeah. That That is my like build
148. 5:16experience so far. We'll see. I'm I'm
149. 5:19very like here to reroll ED particularly
150. 5:22because I got like a cane of unraveling
151. 5:24and some other ED gear and
152. 5:26um Steelmage got a blight of contagion.
153. 5:29So, I can choose like do I want to do
154. 5:30blight of contagion,
155. 5:32which most likely I will.
156. 5:34Um especially for leveling, I think it's
157. 5:36better. Um and then later I can decide
158. 5:38if I want to play ED or blight of
159. 5:39contagion. ED is more of a nostalgia
160. 5:41thing. I I do think probably blight of
161. 5:43contagion is just better, but we'll see.
162. 5:45League mechanic-wise, I really like it
163. 5:48and hate it at the same time. So, the
164. 5:50drowning effect is terrible.
165. 5:53I really dislike it. I don't think it's
166. 5:54clear enough. Um especially if you're in
167. 5:56a character that doesn't get slowed, you
168. 5:58don't really notice that suddenly you're
169. 6:00getting a timer in the top left and then
170. 6:01you die. I haven't died to it or come
171. 6:03close. A lot of my chat is.
172. 6:05And I can definitely see that happening
173. 6:07to me while tired. I have a very strict
174. 6:09do not do this mechanic while tired. It
175. 6:11is so crazy that it's just like a timer
176. 6:14and then your defenses just don't
177. 6:15matter. You're just gone. There's no
178. 6:16real effect on your screen. I wish they
179. 6:19would do like the the walls closing in
180. 6:22drowning thing cuz at least that's like
181. 6:25you know, visible. Um but like the
182. 6:27easiest thing that'll happen is that you
183. 6:28blink out of a bubble and then you're
184. 6:30too far to put a depth charge. Maybe
185. 6:31they should just like remove the limits
186. 6:33so that I could just blink. Um I don't
187. 6:35know. That part really unenjoyable. I
188. 6:37don't like the drowning mechanic at all.
189. 6:39Crafting mechanic, I've already been
190. 6:41interacting with it during leveling and
191. 6:42stuff. It's amazing. It's so fun. It's
192. 6:45so impactful early. Mechanic is really
193. 6:47impactful early. It felt worth like
194. 6:49interacting with during leveling. It was
195. 6:51really really wow, I need some power
196. 6:53right now.
197. 6:54Jump into the depths and like wow, I got
198. 6:56nine boots and I actually got MS boots.
199. 6:57Like really really nice, man. Like I
200. 7:01thought it would be really tedious. I've
201. 7:03traditionally complained about mechanics
202. 7:05that pulls us out of maps. This one's so
203. 7:06snappy, man.
204. 7:08I don't know how else to phrase it but
205. 7:09like they in my opinion really cooked
206. 7:11with it. Like as for as much as I hate
207. 7:13the drowning impact, just like they're
208. 7:15so fast. They just go in and like boop
209. 7:17boop boop boop [laughter] boop back out,
210. 7:19get some loot, get some like juice.
211. 7:22Really really really enjoyable mechanic,
212. 7:24man.
213. 7:24I haven't interacted with any of the
214. 7:26other like changes like
215. 7:28Legion. I haven't interacted with yet. I
216. 7:30saw some negative comments but I really
217. 7:31hope it's not bad cuz I really want to
218. 7:33farm Legion a lot. I got a belly that I
219. 7:35really want to invest in. I did try
220. 7:36abyss.
221. 7:38Didn't feel as rewarding.
222. 7:40Didn't really like abyss. A little bit
223. 7:41scared. might be too rippy. Mercenaries
224. 7:43are too rippy. Yeah.
225. 7:45Um, really good day one, really enjoyed
226. 7:47it. Haven't died yet. Didn't really have
227. 7:48any close calls. I mean, I'm so tanky.
228. 7:50I'm like 80k life and max block. What
229. 7:52What's going to kill me at this point?
230. 7:53Anyway, really enjoying it. Just going
231. 7:55to keep blasting. We'll see if I can
232. 7:56make Luminary work on a Sizz F without
233. 7:58any major changes. If not, we'll just go
234. 8:00ED and then go back to it later. I'm
235. 8:02very confident we can make it work with
236. 8:03the Amnity ring, the fire pen ring.
