- 0:35I have to finalize our taxes today. So,
- 0:38that's going to be
- 0:40get that out of the way before we leave.
- 0:44Um
- 0:46So, good morning Christina.
- 0:49Sorry, I'm getting ready.
- 0:51Um
- 0:52Hey Mandy.
- 0:55Uh
- 0:57You got to exfoliate.
- 0:59Best exfoliator for your lips ever.
- 1:02So,
- 1:04I wanted to come on here
- 1:07um to get ready
- 1:10and talk to you guys because
- 1:13a lot has happened this past year.
- 1:16And
- 1:18this day last year, I made the biggest
- 1:21decision that I made in a long time.
- 1:25And that was to officially
- 1:27um
- 1:28make my initial purchase with Le-Vel.
- 1:31Hey Michelle.
- 1:33Um
- 1:35So, today marks 1-year anniversary for
- 1:39my Thrive experience.
- 1:41I can't believe it cuz I almost forgot.
- 1:43Like
- 1:44I forget what month we're in.
- 1:46Um
- 1:48So, this time last year
- 1:50I was
- 1:52a free customer for a little over for
- 1:55month with my buddy Mandy.
- 1:59And I finally said, "Okay, I had enough
- 2:02with the way I felt
- 2:04and it was time for me to make a
- 2:06change."
- 2:07And I know that I was a skeptic for 14
- 2:11months.
- 2:12I was the worst friend ever to Mandy.
- 2:15Sorry, the lighting's horrible in here.
- 2:17Morning, Sarah.
- 2:19Um
- 2:20So, I was the worst friend. I ignored
- 2:22her posts. I ignored her text messages.
- 2:25I ignored
- 2:26um anything she had mentioned about
- 2:28Thrive. I pretty much ignored her.
- 2:31Can you guys hear me okay? Cuz I'm a
- 2:33little bit away from the phone.
- 2:37If I can get ready properly.
- 2:39Um So, anyway.
- 2:42Um
- 2:43>> [clears throat]
- 2:43>> So, I was the worst friend whatsoever
- 2:46with Mandy.
- 2:47And
- 2:49um
- 2:50she basically didn't give up on me. She
- 2:53knew my struggles. She knew um
- 2:56you know, what I was going through like
- 2:58health-wise.
- 2:59Um
- 3:00you know, I had two kids, brand new mom
- 3:03still.
- 3:04Um
- 3:05Even though my daughter's three, I'm
- 3:06still a brand new mom.
- 3:08Um So, like it was just a lot on me and
- 3:11I was working two jobs. Um one
- 3:13full-time, one part-time. So, I was
- 3:15working about 60 hours a week and still
- 3:18uh stay-at-home mom all day long. So, I
- 3:21was really exhausted. Um
- 3:24>> [clears throat]
- 3:24>> exhausted, tired, um drained. I couldn't
- 3:28focus. I couldn't think straight. Um
- 3:31Look at the eyebrows. I have them now.

- 3:43we explore the darkest corners of the
- 3:44human mind. On the night before
- 3:46everything changed, Shannan Watts was
- 3:49doing something she often did,
- 3:51communicating with friends and family.
- 3:54She had just returned home after a
- 3:56business trip, exhausted but still
- 3:58thinking about her family and the life
- 4:00she had built with Chris Watts.
- 4:03To the outside world, Shannan's life
- 4:05looked full of love and promise.
- 4:08She shared moments online, talked
- 4:10proudly about her daughters Bella Watts
- 4:12and Celeste Watts, and often spoke about
- 4:15the future she was planning for her
- 4:17growing family.
- 4:19But that night, something felt
- 4:20different.
- 4:22>> Just wait.
- 4:23Hi guys. Say hi Bella.
- 4:25>> on?
- 4:25>> Hi.
- 4:27>> We got to get you dressed, kid.
- 4:28>> Bella's eating Bella's eating some of
- 4:30the ingredients.
- 4:31>> Oh, she's got a nice little bowl of
- 4:33chocolate chips.
- 4:35>> Look at that. What is that Bella? Can
- 4:36you show them?
- 4:39What is it?
- 4:41>> Chocolate.
- 4:42>> Is it chocolate?
- 4:43>> Is it chocolate?
- 4:45>> It's chocolate
- 4:47uh little mini morsels, right?
- 4:50Yeah, good job. So she's been eating my
- 4:53peanut butter and the chocolate morsels
- 4:55so far today. So
- 4:57We're going to let a few more people hop
- 4:58on and then we're going to get um
- 5:00cooking here and we'll explain to you
- 5:02what we're cooking up over here. So
- 5:04um
- 5:05>> Yeah, welcome to the 12 Days of
- 5:07Christmas LaBelle Day and
- 5:10even though uh
- 5:14I like to claim that I could probably
- 5:16cook, I can't at all. So I'm going to
- 5:18let my wife
- 5:19do all the the cooking. She's going to
- 5:21make up some Thrive Bites for us.
- 5:23>> And I'm going to go wash my hands real
- 5:24fast.
- 5:25>> Uh-oh.
- 5:26She's going to leave me here alone.
- 5:28Oh, we got some people joining. Bella,
- 5:30look. Got people Got people looking at
- 5:32us. Say hi.
- 5:35Wife's going to be making up some Thrive
- 5:36Bites here in a second, so make sure you
- 5:39hop on and join us for the 12 Days of
- 5:41Christmas.
- 5:43Bella's got some chocolate chips.
- 5:45>> I need a little Bella apron.
- 5:47>> They're probably on.
- 5:48>> Hey Michelle. Hey Amanda.
- 5:51Bella's showing you what she's eating.
- 5:53She's eating
- 5:53>> Friends would later recall that Shannan
- 5:55had sent a message expressing concern
- 5:58about her relationship. It wasn't
- 6:00dramatic or alarming at first glance,
- 6:03but the tone was noticeably worried. She
- 6:06told a close friend that Chris had been
- 6:08distant, quieter than usual, and
- 6:10emotionally disconnected.
- 6:13It was the kind of message many people
- 6:15send when they are trying to understand
- 6:17what is happening in their relationship.
- 6:20Shannan wasn't angry. Instead, she
- 6:23sounded confused and hurt. She simply
- 6:26wanted to know why things felt so
- 6:28different between them lately.
- 6:30What Shannan didn't know was that Chris
- 6:32had already been living a double life,
- 6:35one that involved a secret relationship
- 6:37with Nichol Kessinger. That hidden
- 6:39relationship had been growing for weeks,
- 6:42quietly changing the dynamics inside the
- 6:45Watts household.
- 6:47To Shannan, however, there was still
- 6:49hope that things could be fixed.
- 6:51That final message she sent would later
- 6:54become one of the most heartbreaking
- 6:55details in the entire case.
- 6:58Because only hours later, something
- 7:01unthinkable would happen. Something that
- 7:03would shock the world and leave
- 7:05investigators trying to piece together
- 7:07what went wrong inside a home that once
- 7:10looked so normal.

- 7:21When Shannan Watts returned home from
- 7:23her trip, it was late and the house was
- 7:25quiet. Most people in the neighborhood
- 7:28were already asleep. After a long flight
- 7:31and a drive back home, she was tired but
- 7:34relieved to finally be back with her
- 7:35family.
- 7:37But even before that night, Shannan had
- 7:40already begun feeling that something in
- 7:42her marriage with Chris Watts had
- 7:43changed.
- 7:45In the weeks leading up to that moment,
- 7:47Chris had grown increasingly distant.
- 7:50The warm conversations they once shared
- 7:52had become shorter. Messages that used
- 7:55to be filled with affection now felt
- 7:57cold and brief. Shannon noticed the
- 7:59difference and it worried her.
- 8:02Friends later revealed that Shannon had
- 8:04been opening up about her concerns. She
- 8:06had sent messages explaining that Chris
- 8:09didn't seem like himself anymore. He was
- 8:11quiet, withdrawn, and emotionally far
- 8:14away from the man she believed she knew.
- 8:18At first, she tried to explain it away.
- 8:20Maybe he was stressed from work. Maybe
- 8:23he was just tired. Relationships
- 8:25sometimes go through difficult moments
- 8:27and Shannon was determined to fix things
- 8:30rather than give up.
- 8:32What she didn't fully realize at the
- 8:33time was that Chris had been hiding a
- 8:36secret relationship with Nichol
- 8:38Kessinger. While Shannon was trying to
- 8:40understand what was happening in her
- 8:42marriage, Chris had already begun
- 8:44imagining a completely different future.
- 8:48That secret would later become one of
- 8:50the most disturbing aspects of the case.
- 8:53As Shannon walked into the house that
- 8:55night, she likely believed she would
- 8:58have another chance to talk with Chris,
- 9:00to ask questions, to repair the distance
- 9:03that had grown between them.
- 9:04>> in there. I've done that. But, I'm
- 9:06choosing even on my worst days to not
- 9:09let the negativity bring me down because
- 9:12at the end of the day,
- 9:14I mean,
- 9:16when I was negative and I breed I I I
- 9:19lived and breathed negativity, it showed
- 9:22on my family. It showed on my children.
- 9:23It showed on myself.
- 9:25Um
- 9:27It shows. Like, it really truly shows.
- 9:29So, you have to um
- 9:35What I do now is and again, don't get me
- 9:38wrong. I have my bad days. I have my off
- 9:40days. We all do. We're human, right? But
- 9:43on those days, I choose to do something
- 9:45that will bring me up. Whether it's
- 9:47reading a book, or reading a quote, or
- 9:52reading something finding something
- 9:55positive to read. Um because I'm I'm
- 9:59choosing to be better in life. And I
- 10:02choose happiness. I choose um
- 10:06drama-free life. I want a drama-free
- 10:08life. Oh my gosh. Colorado makes me feel
- 10:10like it's drama-free life because
- 10:12Colorado is just
- 10:15amazing.
- 10:16Um absolutely amazing. Sorry.
- 10:19Um
- 10:20But that's how I feel. I feel at peace
- 10:21here in Colorado. And everyone wonders
- 10:23why we moved to Colorado because I do. I
- 10:26feel at peace here. Um I don't know how
- 10:29to explain it. I don't know how to
- 10:31describe it. I just feel
- 10:34I feel at home, if that makes sense at
- 10:35all. Um
- 10:38so
- 10:39I don't know if I am helping anyone
- 10:42today, comment something. I feel like
- 10:45I'm rambling. I'm not making sense.
- 10:47Um but I felt like I needed to share
- 10:49today.
- 10:50Um
- 10:51Share from my heart. I never um make
- 10:53sense. Sometimes I feel like I ramble.
- 10:58Um that's my insecurity coming in. It's
- 11:00my um confidence trying to attack me.
- 11:03Um
- 11:04but I feel like
- 11:07I can relate to somebody, and somebody
- 11:09can relate to me, and feel the same. You
- 11:13know? Um
- 11:16I was never the smartest kid on the
- 11:17block. I worked my tail off to um fight
- 11:22through school. Uh
- 11:24I was not a book like Chris is a
- 11:25book-smart person. He reads something
- 11:27one time, and he's like, it's memorized.
- 11:30Me, on the other hand, I
- 11:31>> But the hours ahead would unfold in a
- 11:33way no one could have imagined.
- 11:36And by the next morning, the quiet
- 11:38suburban home would become the center of
- 11:41one of the most shocking investigations
- 11:43in modern true crime.

- 11:52the next shocking case.
- 11:54When Shanann Watts arrived home in the
- 11:57early hours of the morning, the house
- 11:59was dark and quiet. Most of the
- 12:01neighborhood was asleep, and the streets
- 12:03were nearly empty.
- 12:05After a long trip, Shanann quietly
- 12:08entered the home she shared with Chris
- 12:10Watts, expecting nothing more than a
- 12:12normal night.
- 12:14But inside that house, tension had been
- 12:16building for weeks.
- 12:18Earlier that evening, Chris had been
- 12:20alone at home with their daughters,
- 12:22Bella Watts and Celeste Watts. To anyone
- 12:26watching from the outside, it appeared
- 12:28to be a typical family routine. Yet
- 12:31behind the scenes, Chris had been
- 12:33struggling with thoughts about the
- 12:34future of his marriage.
- 12:36His secret relationship with Nichol
- 12:38Kessinger had already begun reshaping
- 12:41the way he saw his life. What had
- 12:43started as a hidden romance had quickly
- 12:46become something that influenced nearly
- 12:49every decision he was making.
- 12:51When Shanann returned home, she likely
- 12:54hoped to talk. In the messages she had
- 12:56sent earlier, it was clear she wanted
- 12:59answers about the distance that had
- 13:01grown between them. She wanted to
- 13:03understand what had gone wrong, and
- 13:05whether their relationship could still
- 13:07be saved.
- 13:08Investigators later believed that the
- 13:11two may have had a difficult
- 13:12conversation during those early morning
- 13:15hours.
- 13:16No cameras were inside the house, and
- 13:19only Chris truly knew what happened
- 13:20next. But what is certain is that by the
- 13:23time the sun began to rise, everything
- 13:26had already changed.
- 13:28Within hours, the family that once
- 13:31appeared so normal would suddenly
- 13:32vanish, leaving behind a mystery that
- 13:35would shock the entire country.
- 13:38The quiet home in Colorado would soon be
- 13:40surrounded by investigators, reporters,
- 13:44and a public desperate for answers.
- 13:47By the time the sun rose the next
- 13:48morning, something was clearly wrong.
- 13:51Friends of Shannan Watts began noticing
- 13:53that she wasn't responding to messages
- 13:55or phone calls. For someone who was
- 13:58usually active and connected throughout
- 14:00the day, the silence felt unusual.
- 14:04One of Shannan's closest friends became
- 14:06especially concerned. She knew Shannan
- 14:09had just returned home late the night
- 14:11before, and it didn't make sense that
- 14:13she would suddenly disappear without
- 14:15telling anyone.
- 14:17As the hours passed, worry quickly
- 14:19turned into panic.
- 14:21Eventually, a close friend decided to
- 14:23check on Shannan personally. When she
- 14:26arrived at the house, something
- 14:28immediately felt off. Shannan's car was
- 14:31still parked outside, and many of her
- 14:33belongings were still inside the home.
- 14:36But there was no sign of Shannan or the
- 14:38children.
- 14:40Inside the house, Chris Watts appeared
- 14:42calm, but his explanations raised more
- 14:45questions than answers.
- 14:47He claimed he didn't know where Shannan
- 14:49had gone and suggested that she might
- 14:51have left with the kids after an
- 14:53argument.
- 14:54But the story didn't sit right with the
- 14:56people who knew Shannan best.
- 14:59Friends insisted that Shannan would
- 15:00never simply leave without telling
- 15:02anyone, especially not without taking
- 15:05important personal items with her.
- 15:08Something about the situation didn't
- 15:10make sense.
- 15:11Soon, authorities were contacted. And
- 15:14what started as a welfare check quickly
- 15:16turned into a missing persons
- 15:18investigation involving Shannan and her
- 15:21daughters,
- 15:22Bella Watts and Celeste Watts.
- 15:25As investigators began asking questions,
- 15:28Chris continued repeating the same story
- 15:31that he didn't know where his family had
- 15:33gone.
- 15:34But the more officials looked into the
- 15:36timeline of events, the more suspicious
- 15:39things began to appear.
- 15:41What seemed like a simple disappearance
- 15:43was rapidly becoming something far more
- 15:46serious.
- 15:47And before long, the investigation would
- 15:50begin uncovering details that would
- 15:52shock the entire nation.
- 15:55As concern over the disappearance of
- 15:57Shannan Watts and her daughters Bella
- 15:59Watts and Celeste Watts grew, the quiet
- 16:02neighborhood quickly filled with police
- 16:04officers and worried friends. What had
- 16:06started as a simple welfare check was
- 16:09now becoming a serious investigation.
- 16:13Neighbors gathered outside their homes,
- 16:15watching as investigators moved in and
- 16:18out of the Watts residence. Everyone was
- 16:21asking the same question, where had
- 16:23Shannan and the children gone?
- 16:25Meanwhile, Chris Watts continued telling
- 16:28authorities that he didn't know where
- 16:30his family was. He repeated that Shannan
- 16:33had possibly left the house after an
- 16:35argument and taken the girls with her.
- 16:38But the story raised more questions than
- 16:41it answered.
- 16:42Friends who knew Shannan insisted that
- 16:44she would never disappear without
- 16:46contacting someone. Her phone, personal
- 16:49belongings, and even her car were still
- 16:52at the house. Those details made it
- 16:54extremely unlikely that she had left
- 16:57voluntarily.
- 16:59>> What's going through your mind right
- 17:00now?
- 17:01>> I just I don't know. I don't know where
- 17:04my kids are. I don't know where Shannan
- 17:05is. It's
- 17:06it's not something I could ever
- 17:09ever fathom would happen in my lifetime.
- 17:11And
- 17:12I I have no inclination of where she is.
- 17:15>> Yeah.
- 17:16>> I've re- We've reached out to friends,
- 17:18family, our both of our families are
- 17:21back in North Carolina.
- 17:23So, they're
- 17:24beside themselves. Like, we all have
- 17:26friends in North Carolina. We have
- 17:27friends here. We have friends
- 17:28everywhere.
- 17:29And not knowing like where she is or
- 17:32where the kids are, it's
- 17:34I I I don't know what to do right now. I
- 17:36just feel so alone in this house right
- 17:37now, and I don't know I don't know where
- 17:39to go from here right now.
- 17:41>> And you said you had to stay here by
- 17:42yourself last night. I when I opened the
- 17:43door, it's like you're almost like
- 17:45>> I I mean, my heart's my heart's racing a
- 17:46mile a minute. I mean, just
- 17:48I everything that's happening in the
- 17:50last last few days is just it's
- 17:53earth-shattering right now. It's like my
- 17:55world's been turned upside down.
- 17:57Like, I have friends that have offered
- 17:59to to help I just I didn't feel like I
- 18:00should have left last night. Like, just
- 18:01in case like maybe she came back, maybe
- 18:04the kids came back, maybe something
- 18:05happened, maybe I there's a knock on the
- 18:06door.
- 18:07I wanted to be here. I didn't think last
- 18:09night was a good time to stay with
- 18:10anybody else or
- 18:12I mean,
- 18:13I've I've want I want I've want friends
- 18:15to be here with me cuz that just makes
- 18:17me feel better.
- 18:19>> And what how do you think the police
- 18:21have responded so far?
- 18:23>> they've been amazing. They've been in
- 18:24constant contact. Frederick Police
- 18:26Department, detectives, officers,
- 18:28sergeants.
- 18:29They have the dogs coming through to get
- 18:31scents. I mean, it's they've been on top
- 18:33of everything. Missing persons reports,
- 18:34everything's been they've been
- 18:37>> Do you have any idea where she could be?
- 18:38>> Um she said she was going to a friend's
- 18:40house with the kids, and that's the last
- 18:42thing I heard, and that was that was it.
- 18:44It was very vague, and it was very
- 18:47I don't have no inclination of where she
- 18:49is. Every friend that I've called that
- 18:50has has a car seat that has I mean, that
- 18:53could have come and got her. It's
- 18:56>> And you saw her yesterday morning.
- 18:57>> Yeah, I saw her yesterday morning. She
- 18:58got back from the airport.
- 19:00And I mean, it's
- 19:02she she has to be somewhere. I In my

- 19:42something something's up."
- 19:44And
- 19:45I came home and
- 19:47it was like walked into a ghost town.
- 19:49Like everything

- 19:52was like It was just They were here and
- 19:54then they were gone.

- 19:56And did you see the kids in the morning,
- 19:57too?
- 19:58>> Just in the monitor.
- 19:59>> Oh, yeah.
- 20:00And you leave really early.
- 20:03>> Investigators also began examining the
- 20:06timeline of the previous night.
- 20:08Surveillance cameras from nearby homes
- 20:10captured small but important details
- 20:13about movements around the property.
- 20:16Detectives carefully reviewed every
- 20:18second of the footage hoping to find a
- 20:20clue.
- 20:22At the same time, friends and family
- 20:24launched a desperate effort to find
- 20:26Shannan and the children. Social media
- 20:29posts spread rapidly asking the public
- 20:32to help locate them.
- 20:34As the search intensified, the case
- 20:36began attracting national attention.
- 20:39News stations started covering the story
- 20:42and the pressure on investigators
- 20:44increased.
- 20:45Behind the scenes, detectives were
- 20:48slowly gathering information and
- 20:50building a clearer picture of what might
- 20:52have happened inside the house that
- 20:54night.
- 20:55And with every new discovery, the focus
- 20:58of the investigation was beginning to
- 21:00shift closer to home.
- 21:02As the search for Shannan Watts and her
- 21:04daughters Bella Watts and Celeste Watts
- 21:07continued. Investigators began taking a
- 21:10closer look at the timeline of events
- 21:12inside the Watts home.
- 21:14The more they examined the details, the
- 21:16more questions began to appear.
- 21:19At first, Chris Watts tried to appear
- 21:21cooperative. He spoke with officers and
- 21:24even gave a public interview asking for
- 21:27his family to return home safely.
- 21:35>> If you can park out there on the side, I
- 21:37just want to get everything back in.
- 21:39It'd be easier to lugging everything out
- 21:40there, all the tools I had to bring in.
- 22:34Hello.
- 22:35>> What do you want to do with it?
- 22:38>> Um
- 22:41My detective just showed up.
- 22:43Um the FBI want to talk to you. He'd
- 22:44probably
- 22:46Like I said, he might have you call at
- 22:47the bank and see if there's any kind of
- 22:48activity.
- 22:49Um
- 22:51>> Cuz if there is any sort of action out
- 22:53there
- 22:53>> One of his cameras is
- 22:54>> I would have got it.
- 22:55>> Like we had
- 22:56We had issues the other other week when
- 22:58people were coming were stealing stuff
- 22:59out of like garages and stuff like that.
- 23:02And I had parked my truck out here.
- 23:03>> here to park right here.
- 23:04>> Yeah. See if someone I can see where
- 23:06someone tried to jimmy with a flathead
- 23:08screwdriver.
- 23:10>> Over there.
- 23:10>> And it was just like
- 23:12>> But if any action would have happened,
- 23:13any cars or anything left your house, I
- 23:15would
- 23:15>> Yeah, there would have been like right
- 23:16in that area. This would have picked I
- 23:18mean
- 23:18>> Oh, it'll pick up anything coming down
- 23:20the street this way.
- 23:21>> You want to go back to your truck now?
- 23:22>> Oh, yeah.
- 23:22>> Okay.
- 23:24>> Watch, I'll show you.
- 23:26There's nothing on
- 23:26>> To many viewers watching the interview
- 23:28on television, his words sounded calm.
- 23:32But some people noticed something
- 23:33unusual about his behavior.
- 23:36Detectives also began analyzing
- 23:38surveillance footage from nearby homes.
- 23:41One neighbor's camera captured activity
- 23:44outside the Watts house during the early
- 23:46morning hours when Shannan had just
- 23:48returned from her trip.
- 23:50When officers showed Chris the footage,
- 23:53his reaction immediately caught their
- 23:55attention.
- 23:56According to investigators, Chris
- 23:58appeared nervous while watching the
- 24:00video. The footage showed him moving
- 24:03around his truck in the driveway early
- 24:05that morning. At the time, he explained
- 24:08that he was simply loading tools for
- 24:10work.
- 24:11But detectives were beginning to suspect
- 24:13there was more to the story.
- 24:16As they continued investigating, they
- 24:18discovered additional information about
- 24:21Chris's personal life.
- 24:23One of the most significant details was
- 24:25his hidden relationship with Nichol
- 24:27Kessinger, a co-worker he had been
- 24:29seeing secretly.
- 24:31This discovery changed the direction of
- 24:34the investigation.
- 24:36What had initially looked like a
- 24:37mysterious disappearance was now
- 24:39beginning to reveal a deeper and more
- 24:42complicated situation.
- 24:44Detectives started questioning whether
- 24:47the truth about Shannan and the children
- 24:49had been hidden from the very beginning.
- 24:52With mounting evidence and increasing
- 24:54pressure, the case was quickly
- 24:56approaching a turning point.
- 24:58And soon, investigators would confront
- 25:01Chris with the facts they had uncovered.

- 25:13As investigators continued examining the
- 25:15disappearance of Shannan Watts and her
- 25:17daughters Bella Watts and Celeste Watts,
- 25:20the pressure on Chris Watts began to
- 25:22intensify. Detectives had gathered
- 25:25surveillance footage, phone records, and
- 25:28statements from friends and neighbors.
- 25:30Piece by piece, the story Chris had been
- 25:33telling was beginning to fall apart.
- 25:36Investigators invited Chris in for
- 25:38another round of questioning. At first,
- 25:41he repeated the same explanation, that
- 25:44[snorts] Shannan had left the house with
- 25:46the children after an argument, and that
- 25:48he had no idea where they had gone.
- 25:51But detectives were no longer convinced.
- 25:54They confronted Chris with evidence that
- 25:56didn't match his version of events.
- 25:59Surveillance footage from the neighbor's
- 26:01camera showed activity around Chris's
- 26:03truck during the early hours of the
- 26:05morning. The timeline also revealed that
- 26:08Shannan's phone and personal belongings
- 26:11had never left the house.
- 26:13As the questioning continued, the
- 26:15tension in the room grew heavier.
- 26:18Detectives also revealed that they had
- 26:20discovered Chris's secret relationship
- 26:23with Nichol Kessinger. The hidden
- 26:25romance added a new layer to the
- 26:27investigation and raised serious
- 26:29questions about Chris's motives.
- 26:32With the evidence piling up, the
- 26:34situation became impossible for Chris to
- 26:37maintain his original story.
- 26:40Eventually, the truth about what
- 26:42happened inside the Watts home began to
- 26:44emerge. The shocking reality of the case
- 26:47would soon spread across the country,
- 26:50leaving millions of people stunned by
- 26:52what had been uncovered.

- 26:56investigation had now turned into one of
- 26:59the most disturbing true crime cases in
- 27:01recent history.
- 27:03The quiet neighborhood that once seemed
- 27:05ordinary had become the center of a
- 27:08tragedy that would never be forgotten.
- 27:11As the investigation into Chris Watts
- 27:13reached its conclusion, the
- 27:15heartbreaking truth about what happened
- 27:17to Shannan Watts and her daughters,
- 27:19Bella Watts and Celeste Watts, became
- 27:21clear to the world. What had started as
- 27:24a desperate search for a missing family
- 27:27had turned into one of the most shocking
- 27:29criminal cases in recent memory.
- 27:32During the investigation, detectives
- 27:34reviewed countless messages, phone
- 27:37calls, and social media posts to
- 27:39understand what had happened in the
- 27:41final hours before the tragedy.
- 27:44Among those pieces of evidence was the
- 27:46message Shannan had sent earlier
- 27:48expressing concern about her marriage.
- 27:51At the time, it seemed like a simple
- 27:53message from a wife worried about her
- 27:55relationship. But after everything that
- 27:58followed, it became one of the most
- 28:00haunting details in the entire case.
- 28:04It showed that Shannan was trying to
- 28:06understand the distance growing between
- 28:08her and Chris. She wanted to talk to
- 28:11repair what felt broken
- 28:13and to protect the family she loved so
- 28:15deeply.
- 28:17But behind the scenes, Chris had already
- 28:19been living a secret life involving his
- 28:22relationship with Nichol Kessinger.
- 28:24That hidden relationship, combined with
- 28:27the growing tension inside the marriage,
- 28:29created a situation that eventually led
- 28:32to devastating consequences.
- 28:35Today, the story of the Watts family
- 28:37continues to be discussed around the
- 28:39world, not only because of the shocking
