- 0:04This opens a new world of possibilities,
- 0:07and also new threats from people trying
- 0:08to steal your information.
- 0:10Passwords have become pretty easy for hackers to steal,
- 0:14so many people use 2-step verification
- 0:16and enter an additional short code
- 0:18to verify that they are indeed themselves.
- 0:20Security is important, but so is your time.
- 0:24Now, with Google Apps for Work, there's
- 0:26an easier and faster way to keep your information
- 0:29safe with the Security Key, made specifically
- 0:31to fight off phishing scams that can steal your login
- 0:34information.
- 0:36The Security Key is a small key that you insert into your computer
- 0:39and tap.
- 0:40This sends an encrypted code to Google servers
- 0:43without you having to type anything on your screen.
- 0:46It's simple, quick and more secure.
- 0:49To get started, activate 2-step verification
- 0:52in your Google account settings.
- 0:54Go to the Security Keys tab and add a new key
- 0:57by inserting, then tapping your key when prompted.
- 1:00You're all set.
- 1:02Google Apps admins can better protect their company's
- 1:05information by simply giving everyone
- 1:07in their organisation a Security Key.
- 1:10When employees next sign in, they
- 1:12can enrol and start using the key immediately.
- 1:15Admins can cancel lost keys and disable 2-step verification
- 1:18if needed so that people can still sign in and get work done.
- 1:22And from the Admin Console, IT admins
- 1:25can monitor Security Key usage – seeing where and when people
- 1:28last used it, running queries and downloading usage reports.
- 1:34Keep your information safe and still be productive
- 1:38with Google Apps for Work and the Security Key.
