4:44a condition is so like basically you're
4:47getting hit and then you know
4:49you you get a mark from it you'll get
4:50bruising
4:52like some someone hit you or something
4:54like that it's called a contusion so he
4:56had some injuries to his left shoulder
4:59um
5:00he had
5:02um he had a cut near his lip we could
5:05see we could see his um his mouth was a
5:08little uh
5:12also too i he fell off my son's bike
5:15okay so i don't know
5:16and he's notorious for running into the
5:18wall or the hall tree
5:22okay
5:22what about the scratches
5:26because there's also
5:28sex yes okay because there's also like a
5:31like a scratch on like the back of his
5:34neck
5:35like kind of like going but it's like
5:36going straight across
5:38i have no idea what that's wrong
5:40and they're all recent like they they
5:42occurred recently it wasn't something
5:44that occurred post or that occurred a
5:46week ago or two days ago three days ago
5:48they definitely occurred you know the
5:50night leading up to when he was in all

6:41the incident you guys were painting and
6:43stuff the night prior correct so we're
6:45talking about
6:46sunday and that's why i was thoroughly
6:49confused because
6:50we had a good time sitting on the back
6:53porch having wine and smoking a couple
6:56of cigarettes and then decided to go
6:57inside and literally paint do puzzles
7:00and play and listen to music that's why
7:05nobody got out of sorts
7:07this is what's
7:08mind-blowing to me like i don't
7:11i have no clue nobody laid a hand on
7:13anybody
7:14he also had um
7:17like on the left side of his forehead he
7:19had
7:20basically bruising
7:22um
7:23and um
7:25um like his head and skull i have no
7:28idea as if something hit him i
7:31considered not for touchdown
7:34i have not touched him
7:36i have not touched him how would you get
7:38those injuries tell me and we'll both
7:39know
7:41i have not touched him
7:43yesterday when we took photographs of
7:46your overall body um and they did the
7:48bugle swabs did they go under your
7:51fingernails no
7:52okay are you willing to let us
7:54absolutely swab underneath your
7:55fingernails go for it okay
7:59i have no idea and i don't want to seem
8:01out of sorts but
8:03i have no idea we had a good day

8:30weeks give or take yeah a few weeks that
8:32was the last like physical altercation
8:34between the two of you

8:37he said a month ago he hit you with a
8:38curtain rod yeah with a current right
8:40that's why i can't believe you guys
8:41didn't take that either
8:45like we've been good i don't know if
8:47like it's since the last time he got out
8:49of jail
8:51like we've been good and he's been
8:52having his classes
8:54and his seeing his probation officer
8:56who's amazing
8:58so

9:09comes at me all the time he comes at me

9:15or try to go upstairs and go to sleep

9:37mean by he comes after you like

9:41belligerently drunk
9:42like i don't know if you all have looked
9:44through my phone yet and seen any of the
9:46pictures and the videos that i have
9:48taken
9:49and the
9:50at one point
9:52i started documenting everything okay so
9:54you all will see in my pictures
9:58bloody fingers split foreheads he split
10:01my nose
10:02i've got this right i don't know brian
10:04told you about it where i had to have
10:06almost what i had one really bad surgery
10:08but then it got really really really
10:10really bad where i had to go like four
10:12or five more times afterwards for them
10:13to tend to it from him poking me in the
10:15back of the leg right so it's then why
10:18are you still with him everybody asks me
10:21that when i tell you guys this
10:25i really love him
10:27like i do and i feel like i can help him
10:30like i feel like i could help him which
10:32i did because he's come a really he came
10:34a really long way
10:36from where he was in philadelphia to
10:38moving back to hearing to dealing with
10:40everything else that he's been dealing
10:41with
10:42i've really helped him i bailed him out
10:44of jail what three times i've gone to
10:47every single hearing in every single
10:49arraignment everything that i did for
10:50him
10:51gone to see all his public defenders go
10:53to the state i've gone to the state i i
10:55did everything for him because i'm
10:57trying to help him because i have a bad
10:59hope in him
11:01and he was trying and he was really
11:03trying
11:05just and then he starts to think about
11:07things and it just i think he gets
11:08overwhelmed and then it's like the next
11:10thing i know he's drinking so it's like
11:12oh man i know where this is going to go
11:15so i'm going to go upstairs and read a
11:17book or i'm going to go for a bike ride
11:19or i'm going to do something else where
11:20i don't want to drink
11:22i don't want to drink the occasional
11:25wine
11:26whatever or if it's a weekend
11:28that's when you you have a good time you
11:31don't have to wake up the next day i
11:33have to wake up the next day and do
11:34things i have to tend to lucas i can
11:36take him to school i have all this stuff
11:38to do
11:39he doesn't know how to
11:42i guess maintain himself where
11:45i can do 50 things at once and still
11:48know the 50 things more previously
11:51prior that i need to get done
11:53he can't process like that he didn't
11:55process like that so it he would
11:56literally not literally but had smoke
11:58coming out of his ears so the next thing
12:00you know he doesn't want to deal with it
12:03i'm going to go get something to drink
12:04so the majority of the time i would hang
12:07out outside or do something else because
12:09i don't want to drink
12:12and every time every time
12:15his job broke his heart and it made me
12:17sad because he had so much pride in this
12:19job
12:21and the store that he took care of so
12:23much
12:24totally went downhill
12:26and that
12:27broke his heart because he had put so
12:30much work and effort into fixing it up
12:32and his
12:33manager was
12:35awful
12:37and basically gave up on all of the
12:38employees so i think that
12:41had a huge bearing on why he would drink
12:44so much
12:45his ex-wife is bonkers
12:48she was all over him all the time
12:51send me money send me money send me
12:53money
12:55how can i send you money when i don't
12:56have a job
12:57and he's still trying to take care of me
13:00and lucas by paying a bill here or there
13:03getting some groceries
13:04so he always had something on his mind
13:07which is why again
13:09i got the puzzles and the paint
13:12to try to get him off of it so we don't
13:14have a drink or he doesn't have a dream
13:16so when you all see my phone
13:18you can see all of the damage he has
13:20done to me
13:21and the videos of him smashing my
13:24television because he's belligerently
13:26drunk
13:28well most of the time i just don't want
13:30to be there and i try to help him i try
13:32to calm him down
13:34eventually he just
13:36passes out
13:38well yesterday i made it sound like you
13:40guys were just drinking like a glass or
13:42two like yeah you obviously had the
13:44bottle but you i mean you told me on the
13:47yeah but you told me on recording like
13:48that you were not drunk he was not drunk
13:50you guys were having a good time i don't
13:52get
13:53i can't get drunk at number one i do not
13:56want to get drunk
13:58i don't like being non-competementous
14:01having my wits about myself i don't like
14:03feeling out of control
14:06so
14:07i'm just saying you're you're making it
14:09sound like like he's a raging alcoholic
14:11today and yesterday i was kind of asking
14:13you those questions and you're like a
14:15little defensive like no we're not
14:17alcoholics that he i'm not
14:20you know
14:21but you guys were both sober on sunday
14:24to your knowledge because when i said
14:25you went and passed out
14:27you were like no i didn't pass out i
14:28just fell asleep so now it's kind of
14:31like
14:31what is it is it were you guys drinking
14:33and it got out of hand and
14:36it got physical
14:37or is it
14:39sunday was one of the better days that
14:41we have had in quite some time he's
14:44dancing with my dog you can see that too
14:46on
14:47the pictures him loving the dog he loves
14:50the dog and dancing around having a good
14:52time and just
14:55just being happy
14:56kind of thing
14:59he doesn't know
15:01i can't
15:02i mean i can get like
15:05maybe two three glasses of wine and i'll
15:07be fine but i have to have my wits about
15:09myself because i don't know what to
15:10expect well let's talk about sunday what
15:12was sunday how were you like how many
15:14glasses of wine did you have how many
15:16glasses of wine did he have
15:17the bottle was gone i mean i don't know
15:19if you poured any out yeah no that was
15:21from
15:22previous
15:24you said that there was a half bottle
15:25left over
15:27and then
15:28um that you had went well
15:31i don't even know how the wine how'd you
15:33guys get the wine
15:34for sunday i'm guessing he went to
15:37publix he's
15:38does he do the does he like leave the
15:40house and you stay home or do you go to
15:42publix like because i'll go with him
15:44okay did you go with him sunday publix
15:47so most of the time what happens is
15:49because
15:50the convenience store where we get
15:51cigarettes is here and then publix
15:53literally it's cattywampus to it okay so
15:56what he'll do is he'll start go by
15:58publix and then on the way back catch
16:00the convenience store okay so is that
16:03what he did sunday i i'm guessing that's
16:04what he did because the next thing i
16:06know he's walking in with a bottle so
16:08that's
16:10it's him trying to be nice so i don't
16:12have to go out and do it plus there's
16:13stuff that around the house that i had
16:14to take care of so that's usually what
16:16will happen or i'm folding laundry and
16:18he'll go run out and do whatever
16:20okay
16:21so
16:23where were you guys at on
16:26on drunkenness not drunkenness on sunday
16:31you told us you weren't drunk no i was
16:33not drunk i was not drunk
16:35so
16:36with him i don't know
16:39i i know when it's like okay man where i
16:43have told him
16:44slow down it's starting to catch up with
16:46you slow down slow down
16:49and another thing too is i don't like
16:52listening to music with him because he
16:54gets too involved in the music and the
16:56music that he listens to is
16:59a little rough around the edges and like
17:00just
17:01it makes me fractious listening to his
17:03music so
17:05i kept asking them let's not just let
17:07just you and me talk you and me will
17:09just be the ones that are talking which
17:10was fine because i mean we were playing
17:13with the dog whatever and then it's like
17:14okay
17:15now let's do the painting we just did
17:17the puzzle took a break now let's do
17:19this
17:21sure enough sat down
17:22we're sitting there talking laughing
17:24talking about new movies we're watching
17:26movie trailers
17:28while we're doing painting and all that
17:30other stuff so it's still background
17:31noise to him because i think that's what
17:33he's used to is having background noise
17:35where me i can sit in here all day with
17:37not a peep
17:39but he always has to have some kind of
17:40background noise which i didn't mind
17:41because the trailers were cool and he
17:43was interested in showing them to me
17:46getting excited about movies that were
17:47out
17:48or upcoming okay
17:50so in your laptop you're talking about
17:51like and i mean
17:53and then
17:55it was you said it was a good day like
17:57you guys didn't have any
17:58have any
17:59uh conversations about your relationship
18:01you guys didn't go down like the rabbit
18:03hole like had too many to drink and you
18:05guys start getting nope when i tell you
18:07this
18:09it made me so happy that he actually
18:11listened to what i i had to say
18:13was
18:14just
18:15we'll get through it
18:16this will be fine it's just it's
18:19it's a small hurdle that you and i
18:21together will get through because in
18:23terms of the money jobs
18:27yes nothing relationship wise though
18:30like no issues relation like did you
18:32guys have a conversation about your
18:33relationship or was it just about
18:35just like what's going on right now
18:38i try to evoke it from him so
18:41he gets it off his chest because i call
18:44him the volcano where eventually he's
18:46going to erupt right
18:48and what he has learned in his classes
18:50is to communicate which is a huge thing
18:53in a relationship where he has been
18:55practicing communication so he actually
18:58talks to me about things and unburdens
19:00himself put it on me i'll sit there and
19:03try and figure it out for you like i
19:05have almost everything
19:07not a worry just tell me get it out of
19:09you right but it was when i tell you i
19:13was
19:13so happy
19:14like it was such a good day i kid you
19:16not the weather was beautiful outside
19:19i'm the one that had him go inside so we
19:21can do puzzles and painting and listen
19:23to music or whatever else he wants to do
19:25so then he starts doing whatever it is
19:27we're doing together
19:29in the living room
19:31and then starts talking because i think
19:33he gets comfortable
19:34with
19:35okay you know what we're here it is a
19:37good day
19:38let me go ahead and explain myself so i
19:40know
19:41nobody else knows but i know
19:44nobody knew george better than i did i
19:47say that i knew george better than
19:48himself
19:50and i tried in every way shape and form
19:55ask everyone
19:57i helped him
19:59i took care of him
20:03i missed him a lot and i didn't even
20:05sleep last night
20:08i miss him a lot
20:10i mean is there any chance it got to be
20:12too much for you and you couldn't handle
20:14taking care of him and i never stopped
20:18i never stopped that's what i'm here for
20:23i never stopped
20:25i'm here now again i'm still trying to
20:26help him

20:29we just don't i mean it's unexplainable
20:31how he got these injuries and i had no
20:34idea you were the only one with him
20:37a hundred percent right hand to god i

21:04i think the last time that he got
21:05arrested where he was flying off the
21:07deep end
21:09but then
21:11i had him bailed out i got him out of
21:13jail right
21:14but because he had violated the pretrial
21:17diversion
21:18they this time it's probation so you
21:20don't have a choice in it you have to go
21:22to see your probation officer you have
21:25to go to these classes it's court order
21:28where it took them a while to get used
21:29to it and understand
21:31they're not messing around
21:33i even went down and met his uh
21:35probation officer which i say i she
21:37she's wonderful that's one of my
21:39questions which we need to talk to you
21:40about
21:41hugged me
21:42and said how much she knows that i take
21:44care of him she called me personally one
21:46time when george was at work when he was
21:48working
21:4942 minute phone call
21:51she and i just saying how grateful she
21:53is that george has me and she knows how
21:57hard i'm working to help him just as she
22:00is and just as the class as well
22:02so once he started actually going on a
22:04regular basis to the probation officer
22:07and then to his
22:09substance abuse class and his i don't
22:11know what vip stands for matters
22:13intervention program
22:15and actually listening to what it is
22:17everyone had to say he changed like i
22:19could i could see a change in him or
22:22before lashing out he would think about
22:24it and would always come home and show
22:27me his paper and we would look over his
22:28papers together or it's like wow you
22:31actually are learning this in class
22:33and some of the stuff that they would
22:34show them like videos
22:36he would come home and be like sarah i'm
22:38so sorry for what i've done to you
22:40because
22:41for a video that he watches
22:43to
22:45make him feel that way where it's like
22:47oh man
22:49i have done her wrong
22:52but he's changed he changed
22:56and that's why you're still with him
22:57even though he's done all these things
22:59to you and when i tell you i love him i
23:01love him
23:06when you have
23:07when you love somebody you have limits
23:09everybody tells me that all my neighbors
23:11don't tell me that the office property
23:14manager
23:15at some point somebody
23:18gets enough then they have to to do
23:20something to defend themselves
23:22i would just flee and i don't know if
23:25you would like to see on my phone or i
23:27think i think it's actually on a laptop
23:30i actually because and you have to
23:32understand too
23:33i have like prior to classes in po
23:38kicked him out how many times i had him
23:41arrested how many times but you also
23:43went down and they were i know
23:46the next day
23:47i know what's on your laptop
23:50um was i going to tell you
23:53oh
23:54previously
23:57i actually looked up how to file a
23:59restraining order okay because i would
24:01take him out his parents because of
24:04them
24:05constantly having to take him back in
24:08his bags of clothes
24:09all his stuff
24:11the one time the last time their father
24:14came out and
24:15irate and just not even i did i don't
24:18even know if he knew lucas was in the
24:19car just opened the back of my car and
24:21just started throwing all his crap and
24:23just throwing it like throwing it like
24:25the car would jostle he was throwing all
24:26this stuff
24:28at that point because i continually did
24:30it not continually i think i maybe did
24:32it three times and he has nowhere else
24:34to go
24:35they got fed up and said nope either
24:37you're staying there or you're staying
24:39here but if you're staying here at their
24:41place it's permanent you're not going
24:43back over there anymore
24:45so what happens is he pursues me
24:48so
24:49i don't look you all know where katy way
24:51trail is
24:52okay so we it's literally right
24:55right there from our apartment
24:58would ride his bike to work
25:01but before he would leave extra early
25:03and come up to the wall stand on top of
25:05his bike and poke his head over because
25:06he would know that i would be outside
25:08having my morning
25:09cigarette and cup of coffee
25:12where and i would also know too what
25:14time you would get off of work where i
25:15would know
25:17come getting off of work you can do the
25:18same thing
25:19so it's not like i ever got like a break
25:22from him where i told you all yesterday
25:24or whatever it was
25:26i started to feel that it was too much
25:27togetherness and when you have too much
25:30togetherness
25:31friction happens so i'm gonna go ride my
25:34bike i'm gonna go upstairs and read a
25:35book
25:36but what he
25:38every what did he say every waking
25:40moment he wants to be with me so
25:43and mind you our town home is either
25:44upstairs
25:46or downstairs
25:47so it's like if you would like to sit
25:49down stairs and watch a movie or play on
25:51the laptop look up some jobs you're more
25:53than welcome to
25:54i'm just going to be upstairs maybe
25:55watching one of my shows or maybe
25:57reading a book
25:58so and then when that would happen
26:03we really needed that so what's for
26:04dinner
26:05and then we would cook together
26:07and eat dinner and then crawl on the bed
26:09and watch the movie
26:11are you talking about this is like
26:12recent aren't you kind of like lost me
26:14like what are you doing
26:15like a little while ago but now you're
26:17talking about now you're talking about
26:18tension building up and that you need
26:20space so
26:22have you been feeling that way lately or
26:25okay no
26:27okay my thing is too so you all know oh
26:30i hate that you
26:31can't talk to her but
26:33um be his ex-wife when i say a monster
26:37she's a monster like it does she
26:39withholds
26:40her their children from speaking to him
26:44so he gets upset about that and then
26:46she's like completely berates him about
26:49money about the father that he is what
26:51he did to her all this other stuff
26:54it doesn't matter i mean mind you this
26:56is not like good reason
26:58but which is why he didn't even bother
27:00calling anymore because he knows that
27:01he's she's gonna answer and he's gonna
27:02have to talk to her so therefore he
27:04can't talk to his daughter the other
27:06time he talked to her mate made her top
27:10to cookie that's on my cell phone too so
27:12you can see it
27:14it doesn't matter
27:15like
27:17it doesn't matter
27:19what does she have to do though with
27:20anything about
27:21what happened sunday and into monday
27:23like no i'm just saying like previously
27:26why the incidents
27:28what happened is she plays a big part of
27:30it okay on top of job and money and
27:34groceries and all that okay sunday i
27:37when i tell you this i have no idea
27:40i have no
27:42idea is there anybody else at the house
27:44no it's just me and him
27:48um

27:50since talking yesterday do you remember
27:52any like time timelines better like what
27:55time
27:57uh you guys were playing what time he
27:59was zipped up in the
28:01luggage what time i tried stairs we
28:04started because we had we cleaned the
28:06house a little bit did some laundry you
28:08started the activities around four years
28:10yes around four or four thirty ish and
28:11then
28:12you just said that it was dark when you
28:13were playing hiding seek and i'm just
28:15curious if you remember but when we were
28:17outside that's where we would start and
28:20talk about things and then eventually i
28:22was the one that had him come inside so
28:24we just what time do you remember what
28:26time that was is what she's asking
28:30and she said you went up you went up to
28:32bed around midnight midnight fell asleep
28:35around 12 30 ish
28:37but those are the only times i have so i
28:38have four and i have midnight so there's
28:41a big gap so i'm just curious like if
28:44you recall when you went upstairs to
28:46hide in the shower or
28:48like when we started to play
28:50yeah
28:52well
28:53we went inside probably about
28:56if i had to guess we weren't we weren't
28:57out there too long maybe about six ish
29:01then you can come up from hanging out
29:03outside and like
29:04okay we have two beach chairs that are
29:06out there right just enjoy the weather
29:09plus it's starting to get dark and matte
29:11to mosquitoes yeah so
29:14let's go inside i don't want to be out
29:15here anymore okay all right let's go so
29:18we're doing whatever we did it for a
29:19while because that puzzle i don't know
29:21if they took it or they saw it
29:24um worked on the puzzle again finished
29:26it
29:27started to paint well started listening
29:29to music for a little bit
29:31started to paint uh can we turn the
29:33music off no problem start at the top
29:36paint whatever
29:39maybe
29:43gosh that puzzle we worked on that for
29:44probably a good hour and a half
29:47so eight o'clock is
29:49is when you went to hide upstairs
29:52originally no that's when we were like
29:54painting so then it's like okay well all
29:56right we can't i don't want to paint
29:57anymore let's just ah come on
30:00okay you want to play hide and seek what
30:02he does is okay tag you're it we're like
30:04okay we know okay take off
30:07that's what we did
30:08and then you went upstairs and then he
30:10didn't come up and you came down
30:13and the suitcase was there originally
30:14because you guys were planning to do
30:16donations including he's already there
30:19um have you guys ever played the you
30:21said you played hide and seek like
30:22probably three times in your
30:23relationship
30:25when you have played have you ever
30:27zipped him up in a suitcase prior no
30:29okay
30:30so it was just kind of like that prop
30:32was there and it was there
30:34and it was in play because why do you
30:36say it like that though
30:38i would never do that
30:40you would never zip them up in a
30:41suitcase
30:43well i mean i mean we were playing no i
30:45know but i but i'm saying well i'm
30:47talking about hide and seek which is a
30:48game so the suitcase originally is in
30:52our closet buried all the way to the
30:54back it just i don't i know the csi

55:28guesstimate so i for all i know i was
55:31maybe it was 10 minutes okay but the
55:34point is you left the living room where
55:36he was begging for help and went
55:39upstairs
