  1. 0:00How can you divide a frame into two
  2. 0:01identical parts using three pieces? This
  3. 0:04is an award-winning puzzle from 2014.
  4. 0:07For example, when we place two identical
  5. 0:09pieces in the middle of the frame, the
  6. 0:11frame is divided into two identical blue
  7. 0:14parts. But the problem is that we have
  8. 0:16to use three pieces, which makes them no
  9. 0:18longer identical.
  10. 0:20You can try rearranging them, but each
  11. 0:22division results in a strange shape.
  12. 0:24They are completely different from each
  13. 0:26other.
  14. 0:27The reason is simple. There are too many
  15. 0:29possibilities for the three pieces to be
  16. 0:31combined, and you must find the one and
  17. 0:34only correct placement. Then, there's an
  18. 0:37even harder part. Perhaps you've come
  19. 0:39close to the correct solution many times
  20. 0:41during your attempts, but you can't see
  21. 0:43it. So, you have to use your
  22. 0:44imagination.
  23. 0:46If I tell you that the two pieces are
  24. 0:48already in the correct positions, think
  25. 0:50about how the last piece should be
  26. 0:51placed. You can pause the video and
  27. 0:53think about it. When I place it here
  28. 0:55like this, we can see the two identical
  29. 0:58blue parts.
