3:30I said I love the ocean family they're
3:33like family to me
3:34and I love them dearly I love his dad
3:36his brother his whole family y'all are
3:39dismissed up here the pray singers and
3:41musicians you're dismissed up here I
3:44want brother ocean to come tonight and
3:46preach to us take his liberty deliver
3:48the Word of God tonight would you get
3:50behind him as he preaches tonight
3:53brother ocean come bless us we love you
3:55in Jesus name everybody let's give the
4:01Lord a great big hand of praise
4:04hallelujah we have made his praise
4:07abundant in this house let's continue to
4:11lift him up let's continue to lift him
4:13up Lord we worship You hallelujah
4:17hallelujah we thank you Jesus we thank
4:22you Jesus it's a great pleasure to be
4:24here tonight at revival center in Peru
4:26Indiana and to be with pastor and sister
4:30Reed and this wonderful congregation
4:32it's great to see so many people in the
4:34house of God beautiful beautiful amen
4:38and of course so many people whom I love
4:42very very much who I've known many years
4:45since I was since I was just a boy and
4:48and these people mean the absolute world
4:51to me and they helped raise me and I am
4:55Who I am because of so many wonderful
4:58people that are here tonight and so I
5:01love them so very much and love your
5:03pastor and sister Reed and their family
5:06and I thank God for what is happening at
5:09revival center in Peru Indiana my
5:12goodness hallelujah keep on expanding
5:16keep on growing keep on building set
5:20your affections on things above seek
5:23first the kingdom of God and His
5:25righteousness and all these things shall
5:28be added unto you
5:29and it's a great privilege to be here
5:32tonight to be able to minister the word
5:35of the Lord to you
5:37I want to turn your attention to the
5:38book of Hosea the book of Hosea and the
5:41eighth chapter and I thank God for
5:45pastor Reid's a passion for revival his
5:50passion to see the work of God
5:52accomplished and I'm excited about this
5:56baptism of our good friends in Jesus
6:00name this is a wonderful testimony a man
6:04from the book of Hosea and the eighth
6:06chapter I want to read a few verses of
6:09scripture tonight
6:12Hosea chapter 8 and verse 2 Israel shall
6:17cry unto me my god
6:20we know thee I want you to notice verse
6:243 carefully Israel hath cast off the
6:28thing that is good the enemy shall
6:33pursue him they have set up kings but
6:36not by me they have made princes and I
6:38knew it not of their silver and their
6:40gold have they made them idols that they
6:43may be cut off verse number seven for
6:47they have sown the wind they shall reap
6:50the whirlwind
6:51it hath no stalk the bud shall yield no
6:55meal if so be it yield the strangers
6:58shall swallow it up Israel was in a
7:02place of having abandoned God turned
7:06their back on God and the Lord was
7:09describing the result of such a decision
7:11but I want to take special note of the
7:14third verse Israel has cast off the
7:18thing that is good and I want to preach
7:21to you for a little bit tonight on this
7:23subject the good thing the good thing
7:28hallelujah let's go to the Lord together
7:30in prayer shall we Heavenly Father we
7:32come to you asking for your divine move
7:36in this house we pray that your word
7:39would have free course help us to hear
7:42your word help us to receive your word
7:45help your word Lord to find good ground
7:48found in us I pray for an anointing upon
7:51your messenger and upon your people
7:53tonight Lord that the power of the Holy
7:55Ghost would flow through this house
7:58accomplish that where to your word is
8:00sent I pray in Jesus name we thank you
8:04for this and we give you all praise and
8:06honor and everybody said in Jesus name
8:08and everyone said amen and amen god
8:12bless you you may be seated
8:14in the name of the Lord I want to point
8:20out from the outset of this message that
8:27I'm going to be speaking quite a bit
8:31pertaining to the concept of and to the
8:37biblical commission of a thing called
8:42marriage this thing called marriage was
8:47an institution and is an institution
8:49that was created by the Lord before God
8:53created any human relationship he
8:57created the human relationship of a
9:00marriage and he defined it and he
9:04defined it as the union of one man and
9:07one woman
10:14you
10:32between Israel and the Lord the
10:36wholeness the oneness the union the
10:40relationship that Israel had with the
10:44Lord has been cast off pointing to the
10:49idolatrous acts of Israel and of course
11:02to worship other idols and so the Bible
11:05describes it as Israel having cast off
11:07the good thing now God uses the
11:12relationship of marriage to teach us
11:14about what the love of God really is and
11:19in fact this is why the enemy is trying
11:22so desperately in these last days to
11:24redefine the whole concept altogether if
11:27he can taint the way people see marriage
11:31if he can taint the way people see
11:33intimacy if he can taint the way people
11:36see the holy union of a man and a woman
11:39in matrimony as unto the Lord then that
11:43he can really basically pervert and
11:46distort the way that an individual would
11:49see the love of God at all there's a
11:51reason why there is no marriage in
11:54heaven or giving in marriage the only
11:58marriage that occurs in heaven is the
12:00marriage between Christ and his bride
12:04there's no marriage of us our
12:37or even as they are known and there will
12:39be complete wholeness and there will be
12:41completeness in heaven marriage on earth
12:47exists so we can learn the love of God
12:51marriage on earth exists so we can
12:54understand how the Lord loves us and
12:57when you spend a lifetime being married
13:01to a person you learn how to love and
13:04you learn how to be loved
13:06you learn how to endure hard times you
13:11learn how to remain committed you learn
13:14the concept of covenant relationship you
13:18learn how to exist and cohabitate and
13:21love in the highs and the lows and
13:25that's what marriage is all about God
13:28uses the ordination of a thing called
13:32marriage to show us exactly how he loves
13:37us how we can love him it's an emotional
13:42intimacy
13:42it's a spiritual connection it is a holy
13:46union it is sanctioned by God everything
13:51God created in the days of creation he
13:54said it is good it is good it is good
13:57the reason he was saying it is good is
14:00that it was an adequate reflection of
14:03the gospel of Jesus Christ it is a good
14:07reflection it accurately depicts the
14:10gospel of Jesus Christ but when he came
14:13to man by himself he said it is not good
14:18that man should be alone now this
14:22doesn't mean that a person cannot be
14:23single this simply means that man by
14:27himself is not the accurate depiction of
14:31the love of God it is when God created
14:34for him a woman brought her unto the man
14:37and called them male and female and
14:40called him Adam and Adam called her Eve
14:44and God looked upon this and said it is
14:47very good
14:50so this is it is important then that in
14:53this day and age that we uphold the
14:56sanctity of marriage it is important in
14:58this day and age that we declare the
15:01love of God through our marriage and
15:02your marriage is under attack protected
15:05in the name of the Lord hallelujah and
15:08and so you know the world tries to put a
15:11spin on marriage and tries to tries to
15:14downgrade it undermine it act like it
15:17doesn't matter but the Scriptures teach
15:19us differently the world not only comes
15:22against the concept of marriage by
15:25trying to redefine it but but even
15:28trying to view it in a degrading way for
15:31instance I heard about the man and his
15:34buddy who were playing golf and they got
15:37onto the green
15:38and they were putting and as they were
15:41getting ready to put a funeral
15:43procession went by and one man was about
15:46to putt he took his hat off and he held
15:48it over his heart as the funeral
15:50procession went by his buddy was amazed
15:53he said to his friend who took his hat
15:56off he said man I got to tell you
15:57something he said that's impressive he
16:00said I people don't even stop their car
16:03for a funeral procession anymore and
16:05here you are about to putt and you pause
16:07and you take your hat off of cover your
16:09heart he said well it's the least I
16:11could do I was married to her for forty
16:13five years but that may be how the world
16:22views the longevity of marriage but
16:24that's not how the church views along
16:26charity of marriage it's not a drudgery
16:29it's not a begrudging thing it's a
16:31lasting loving covenant that God ordains
16:35favors and blesses hallelujah and in
16:39that it is such a powerful Union and it
16:42is the most powerful of all human
16:45relationships the most powerful listen
16:49to how powerful this human relationship
16:51is between one man and one woman this
16:53union has the innate power to generate a
16:58human soul that will live forever
17:03it is the most poignant and powerful of
17:06all human relationships and God said
17:09listen through the Apostle Paul to the
17:11church at Ephesus he said listen it's a
17:13great mystery this whole concept of
17:15marriage but he said this mystery ladies
17:19and gentlemen you gotta understand is
17:20about Christ and the church
17:22so he said husbands love your wives even
17:25as Christ loved the church and he said
17:27and wife submit yourselves unto the
17:29husband's as unto the Lord and this was
17:32a teaching to understand that this is a
17:34beautiful lasting loving relationship
17:38that's how it's supposed to be but the
17:42enemy comes in like a flood the Spirit
17:45of the Lord will raise up a standard
17:46against him we look at this story of
17:48Hosea that we read from the eighth
17:51chapter of the book of Hosea where that
17:53the scripture tells us that Israel hath
17:55cast off the good thing
17:58Israel took that good thing as it is a
18:01good thing we just lost one of our very
18:04fine members one of the finest members
18:07of our church he was 92 years old he
18:10played the violin in our church for 77
18:14years he played the violin for 77 years
18:18faithfully his wife was just as faithful
18:21as him and they were married for 68
18:24years I had the distinct privilege of
18:27preaching his funeral last night and my
18:31grandparents sang at their wedding in
18:331948 so it's been a long-lasting
18:37friendship and relationship between the
18:39families but this wonderful man and his
18:43wife of 68 years she told me something I
18:46thought was so beautiful she said you
18:47know what he is at home what you see at
18:49church and I thought that's an amazing
18:52testimony 68 years to be able to say
18:55that about somebody and and and so this
18:58is the way that it's supposed to be a
19:00beautiful lasting loving covenant
19:03relationship when we look at the Prophet
19:06Hosea and his ministry he had a unique
19:09ministry God called him into a prophetic
19:14ministry that was that
19:16was quite different from any other
19:18ministry that any of the other prophets
19:20had Hosea was called of God and
19:24specifically commanded to love a woman
19:27by the name of Gomer he said to him that
19:31I want you to love Gomer and I want you
19:34to marry Gomer and I'm gonna put a love
19:37in your heart for this woman and you're
19:40going to love her but she's not gonna
19:43love you back and he said when this
19:45happens you're gonna understand some
19:48things about me that I need you to
19:50understand I'm giving you a ministry
19:54that's going to give you a first-hand
19:56view of what I go through when Israel
19:59casts off the good thing dormers gonna
20:02love others but she won't love you
20:04you're going to love her but she won't
20:07love you and you're going to understand
20:09through it all exactly what I
20:12experienced when Israel chases after
20:15mullet when Israel chases after
20:18Ashtaroth
20:19when Israel chases after bale when
20:22Israel goes after other gods and idols
20:25who have eyes but cannot see who have
20:28ears but they cannot hear who have
20:31mouths but they can speak no truth they
20:34are unable to heal they are unable to
20:37deliver they are unable to save and Here
20:41I am the God of all creation Here I am
20:45the God who is able to save even to the
20:48uttermost here I am the God who loves
20:51with limitless love with mercy that
20:55endures forever and truth that endures
20:58to all generations and yet I stand by
21:02helpless as Israel goes as the Bible
21:06would call it a whoring after other gods
21:09and other idols Hosea I know this is
21:13going to be hard I know that it's going
21:15to be heartbreaking I know it's gonna
21:17tear you in two but I need you to suffer
21:21these things because I need you to
21:24prophesy with my broken heart
21:27I need Israel to hear the sorrow of my
21:30soul and I need somebody to understand
21:35the very depth of my pain and preaching
21:38to somebody tonight who has experienced
21:41suffering in your soul you have
21:43experienced pain down deep on the inside
21:47the Bible says deep : unto date at the
21:52noise of that water spouse can I tell
21:55you that every time you open your mouth
21:57and declare the power of God from a
22:01broken heart
22:02a heart that has suffered a heart that
22:05has been hurt
22:07broken wounded the depth of your pain
22:11resonates with the depth of someone
22:14else's pain and they can hear the sorrow
22:17of God this is a powerful thing the
22:21sorrow of God godly sorrow does
22:24something that nothing else can do godly
22:28sorrow worketh repentance hallelujah
22:32nothing else can work repentance and let
22:36me tell you something ladies and
22:38gentlemen I don't know what each and
22:40every individual is going through
22:41tonight but I can tell you the answer to
22:44what you're going through and it is this
22:46repent I don't know what your problem is
22:52but I can give you the solution repair I
22:57don't know how deep the pain I don't
22:59know how hard the journey but I can tell
23:02you that the answer to what you need
23:04right now it's the humble yourself
23:06before the mighty God and repent that's
23:10the answer that's the solution to all
23:14things repent turn from your wicked ways
23:18look to the Lord well I don't have any
23:20wicked ways that's the first wicked way
23:22you need to turn from the pride of your
23:25heart and the self-righteousness of your
23:27spirit turn hallelujah your face to God
23:32humble yourself before him and repent it
23:36takes the voice of a prophet whose heart
23:39has been broken
23:40it takes the voice of a prophet of God
23:42who can understand the deep sorrow of
23:45God hallelujah this is why God allows
23:49ministries to go through difficult times
23:52because he's letting that ministry
23:54understand his own suffering he's
23:57allowing that ministry to understand his
24:00own broken heart so when that ministry
24:03opens their mouth they speak from the
24:06broken heart of God and everybody who
24:09hears their message can hear the sorrow
24:12of God and repentance begins to work on
24:15the inside of them
24:16it begins to do something that nothing
24:18else can do a sad song can't do it a
24:22time perfectly-timed dramatic point
24:25can't do it it doesn't matter what kind
24:28of an emotional advantage you tried to
24:31concoct he can't do it the only thing
24:33that works real repentance is godly
24:37sorrow we take something somebody who's
24:42never gone through the brokenness of a
24:44heart they'll never be able to have a
24:46very strong ministry this is how God
24:51anoints people hallelujah that ram's
24:54horn that pastor was holding a moment
24:56ago that there was a Horn of oil they
24:59would use that horn to pour oil out upon
25:02the prophets and the priests and the
25:04kings who were anointed of God
25:05hallelujah and that that oil would drip
25:09over them that ram's horn was more than
25:11just a trumpet it was attached to a Rams
25:14head the same Ram that was caught in the
25:16thicket by those very ram's horns who
25:19ended up taking Isaac's place upon the
25:22altar they signify mercy this is why
25:26when people needed mercy they would run
25:28and grab ahold of the horns of the altar
25:30it was a ram's horn they were grabbing
25:33ahold of it signified the mercy of the
25:36Lord can I tell you that your greatest
25:38and deepest anointing will come upon you
25:41from the very thing that broke your
25:44heart
25:48Hosea prophesied with an unction of
25:51God's jealousy he knew what God felt and
25:54he when he opened his mouth he wasn't
25:57just reciting words he wasn't just
25:59speaking good things he opened up his
26:01mouth and out of his own personal life
26:04experience he could relate with God's
26:07feelings and it touched the hearts of
26:10those who heard the word dr. Gary
26:14Chapman wrote an excellent book the book
26:16that he wrote was called the five love
26:18languages the five love languages and in
26:21this book he describes that there are
26:23five basic love languages that everybody
26:25has and users and they both receive love
26:30in these love languages and they express
26:32love through these love languages
26:34anybody familiar with the book the five
26:36love languages excellent book and it's
26:38possible if in this book it's
26:40conceivable that an individual could be
26:43telling another person hey I love you
26:45but because they don't speak the same
26:48love language it's not being perceived
26:50by the other individual as love and so
26:54they're not hearing I love you they're
26:55seeing some good effort at something but
26:58they're not perceiving it as love the
27:01five love languages are quality time
27:03words of affirmation gift-giving
27:07physical touch and acts of service I'm
27:12gonna say them again quality time words
27:14of affirmation gift-giving physical
27:17touch acts of service individual who
27:20wants a lot of quality time I don't want
27:22you looking at your phone the whole time
27:23that you're with me I want that quality
27:26time that means that quality time is
27:29their love language that's how they give
27:31it and that's how they receive it you
27:33can begin speaking their love language
27:34and you can convince them hey I love you
27:38words of affirmation telling them how
27:41wonderful how beautiful how much you
27:43appreciate them how much they mean to
27:44you and praise them and pour affirmation
27:48upon them this is how some people
27:49receive it how some people express it
27:52some people give gifts and that's how
27:54they express love and how they receive
27:56love in the gift giving they're not the
27:59kind that they've got the gear
28:01like two months before your birthday
28:03they're not running out at 1:00 in the
28:06morning the night of your birthday and
28:08and getting a card real quick and and
28:11and then giving it to you and realizing
28:14that they're a week off
28:16but-but-but gift-giving they've got it
28:20down but they look forward to showing
28:22love in this way that's how they give it
28:24that's how they receive it physical
28:25touch people who like to like to shake
28:28hands like to hug like to put their arm
28:30around somebody this there's this
28:32connection a physical touch acts of
28:35service this act of service is is an
28:38effort at showing love and if there's
28:42any way that I can serve you if there's
28:43any way that I can show you my love I
28:45will do it through serving you and
28:47acting out service toward you now these
28:51are the five love languages of human
28:52beings but as I began to look at them I
28:54realized these aren't just arbitrary
28:56love languages but these are God's love
28:59languages and we have them as our love
29:02languages because God has them as his
29:05love languages this is how God expresses
29:09love God expresses his love through
29:14quality time if you don't believe me
29:17look what the scripture says the
29:19scripture said I will never leave you I
29:24will never forsake you lo I am with you
29:29unto the ends of the earth he said David
29:34said Lord though I had wings to a sin
29:36like a dove into the heavens you are
29:38there and if I make my bed in hell
29:40behold you are there everywhere you
29:43can't get away from him this is why he's
29:46omnipresent because his love language is
29:49quality time and he wants to spend time
29:53with you in the presence of God that's
29:56that's where you receive love from God
29:59and he expresses his love to you through
30:02giving you quality time not only does he
30:05do it through quality time but he does
30:06it through words of
30:08affirmation words of affirmation let me
30:11tell you something ladies and gentlemen
30:13one of the reasons why you feel so down
30:15is because you're not spending enough
30:18time hearing God speak to you about who
30:21you are you have heard people say
30:25certain things about you and you've
30:27begun to believe it you've let the
30:29accuser of the Brethren speak in your
30:31ear and you've begun to believe what
30:33he's saying but you need to get into the
30:35presence of the Lord and say alright god
30:38I've heard what the bully said I've
30:40heard what the enemy said I heard what
30:43the accuser said those thoughts have
30:45become my own thoughts I'm living under
30:48the oppression of labels that others
30:51have imposed upon me but lord I need to
30:54know from my Creator who do you say he's
31:01gonna show you his love for you through
31:03words of information he's going to say
31:05you're my child and you're lovely and
31:08you're wonderful and I love you you're
31:11worth dying for words of affirmation get
31:17into the presence of God and listen it
31:19doesn't matter what anybody else says
31:21about you you know why it doesn't matter
31:24what anybody else says about you because
31:26they don't know you you should never let
31:31critics get to your heart or flatterers
31:34get to your head because they don't know
31:38who you are somebody walks up to you and
31:41says you're nothing but a low-down
31:43good-for-nothing loser don't believe
31:45that they don't know you somebody walks
31:49up to you and says you're the best thing
31:51since sliced bread nobody better don't
31:53believe that either because they don't
31:57know you but what God thinks about you
32:00it really does matter because his
32:03opinions are not opinions his thoughts
32:06are true so when God looks upon us and
32:12says well done thou good and faithful
32:14servant that really matters because he
32:17knows everything we've done wrong
32:19he knows everything we've said wrong he
32:21knows everything we've done that his
32:23unpure he knows everything about us
32:26inside and out and he still looks upon
32:29us and says you are my love you are my
32:32fair one hallelujah and I love you with
32:36an everlasting love as far as the East
32:38is from the West so will I remove your
32:41transgressions far from you not only
32:44does he love you with quality time not
32:46only does he love you with words of
32:47affirmation but he loves you with
32:49gift-giving for the wages of sin is
32:55death but the gift of God is eternal
32:58life through Jesus Christ our Lord
33:01repent and be baptized every one of you
33:04in the name of Jesus Christ for the
33:07remission of sins and you shall receive
33:09the gift of the Holy Ghost hallelujah
33:13the gift of faith the gift of healing
33:16the gift of discerning spirits the gift
33:19of the working of miracles the gift of
33:21the word of wisdom the gift of the word
33:23of knowledge hallelujah the gift of
33:26tongues the gift of the interpretation
33:27of tongues God shows his love by giving
33:32us gifts oh you go on should I go on
33:37because every good and every perfect
33:39gift cometh down from the Father of
33:42lights in whom is no variableness
33:44neither shadow of turning
33:47should I go on he daily loaded us with
33:50benefit it is the father's good pleasure
33:56to give gifts to the children of
34:08he shows his love for us through quality
34:14time
34:15hey listen however long you want to stay
34:17in his presence he'll be there he'll
34:21stay there he won't look at one phone
34:23app he'll stay there focused on you
34:27tuned in to what you're saying
34:29honed in on what you're feeling don't
34:32give him don't give him don't give him
34:34some kind of a vain repetition but speak
34:38to him from your heart and he will hear
34:41every word you say god only hears heart
34:46language he doesn't hear vain repetition
34:49he doesn't hear memorized recitation he
34:52hears heart language and if you'll speak
34:55to him out of the pain and praise of
34:58your heart he will hear your cry and
35:03spend quality time with you words of
35:07affirmation gift-giving physical touch
35:11if you've been in the presence of the
35:13Lord very long you know that God shows
35:16love through physical touch some people
35:19call it goosebumps going up and down
35:21their spine Holly you know it's what
35:25it's what's happening when your hand
35:26shakes it's what happens when your head
35:28begins to move it's what happens when
35:30you feel dancing in your feet it's what
35:32happens when the joy of the Lord Falls
35:35fresh on you hallelujah
35:38pardon me a moment while I have a
35:40Jubilee because the Lord is physically
35:43manifesting himself to me I am but body
35:47is feeling the presence of my God and
35:51not only will your body feel his
35:53presence but his presence will heal your
35:56body physically hallelujah he can
36:00physically heal your body right now why
36:04because of his love for you
36:10oh just because he loves you that's why
36:13he'll heal you just because he loves you
36:16he will bring healing to you not only
36:18does he show love through physical touch
36:20but he shows love through acts of
36:22service God shows love through acts of
36:28service servitude now this is an amazing
36:32concept I want you to consider this with
36:34me the Bible says Jesus took upon
36:38himself the form of a servant the form
36:43of a servant and I know what we think
36:45brother King we think that Jesus was a
36:48servant for three and a half years and
36:51while he was a servant for these three
36:53and a half years he was a servant to
36:54everybody he was a servant to the blind
36:55he was a servant to the lane he was a
36:57servant to the leper he was a servant to
37:00those in prison he was a servant to the
37:01public and he was a servant to the woman
37:03at the well the woman with the issue of
37:05blood on and on and on he was a servant
37:07to whomever needed a touch from God he
37:11was a servant to his disciples when he
37:13washed their feet he was a servant to us
37:15when he carried the cross and he went to
37:18Calvary's Hill of sorrow and he died the
37:20awful death of crucifixion and he was a
37:22servant when he was buried thank God and
37:25when he rose from the dead and ascended
37:28on high this is what we do and and
37:32really we do it in error we we say no
37:35longer has to be a servant because now
37:37he's ascended to the Majesty on high
37:41listen he's still a servant well I I
37:47thought he was in Majesty that's what
37:48you got understand servanthood is the
37:51majesty let him that is minister let him
37:55be let him that his chief of all let him
37:58be minister him that is great among you
38:01let him be servant in God's eyes
38:03servanthood his greatness in God's eyes
38:06ministry and servanthood is the chief of
38:09all things this is what God views as
38:12Majesty servanthood he is still serve it
38:16and you say I thought he was the king
38:18that's his throne sir
38:21if you don't believe that Jesus is still
38:24a servant call on him go ahead call on
38:29him Jesus I need you and he'll run to
38:32you Jesus I need you he'll run to you
38:36Jesus I need you he'll run to you
38:39because he's still servant listen and it
38:47doesn't matter how low you are or how
38:50others look down upon you all you've got
38:53to do is call his name and he William
38:56merge as the great power and source of
38:59your joy hallelujah these are the love
39:03languages of God quality time words of

41:12people look upon you as a brother

43:47helping out in the kitchen
43:49jesus said Martha you're doing a good
43:51job keep it up don't stop but mary has
43:55chosen the good thing the good thing
43:59that can't be taken away that that that
44:01being in my presence soaking it in
44:05soaking me in hearing every word hanging
44:08on every word that I speak she has
44:11chosen the good thing David the man

45:48your life what if he didn't get you out
45:50of the mess that you're in right now but
45:53all you had was inquiring in his temple

45:58the good thing being in his presence I
46:04remember the story that brother JT pew
46:08sister Betsy pew was shared concerning
46:11them some of you remember the ministry
46:14of the JTP one of the great preachers of
46:16the gospel he personally impacted my
46:19life in such a deep way I will never
46:22forget his ministry he had a good thing
46:25with sister pew many years of marriage
46:30they shared together and and late in
46:34life
46:34sister pew developed a severe disease of
46:38Parkinson's this Parkinson's disease
46:41began to overtake her body caused her to
46:44contort and and her body to become
46:48uncontrollable but the JT pew was a
46:52great preacher of the gospel he preached
46:53around the world for many years and and
46:56when she developed the disease he
46:58decided to preach out just once a month
47:00and he took care of her just every day
47:04took care of her every day except one
47:06day a week because he too was getting
47:08aged and he decided that he would he
47:11would take one day a week
47:13refresh his body and be prepared for the
47:16next several days of caring for sister
47:18Pugh and and he did everything for her
47:21taking care of her body and making sure
47:24she had what she needed unexpectedly
47:29brother Pugh passed away before he
47:35passed away he lost his hearing and he
47:39could no longer hear sister Pugh when
47:41she would wake up in the night and and
47:43need assistance it was a dangerous thing
47:46because she would be in need of
47:48assistance he couldn't hear her and she
47:50couldn't communicate with him so he
47:52decided to tie a little string around
47:54his wrist and the other end of the
47:57string around her wrist so that when she
47:59would wake up and her body would begin
48:00to contort he would he would feel
48:03because it would pull his arm down and
48:06he would get up and he would tend to her
48:09and take care of her and help her in her
48:12sickened State it was love it was the
48:17good thing it was the whole sale I'm
48:20here for you it was God and his people
48:23it was Christ in the church and and then
48:26unexpectedly brother Pugh passed away it
48:29was a surprise because she had been sick
48:32for such a while and and yet brother
48:36Pugh passed away and and so it was
48:39devastating to the family it was
48:41devastating to sister Pugh the children
48:43came to her and comforted her and said
48:45mother everything's gonna be all right
48:47we're gonna take care of you I know dad
48:50has passed on to be with the Lord he's
48:52in a better place now and we will take
48:54care of you she said you don't
48:57understand
48:59she said JT and I had a good thing going
49:04and within 24 hours she passed away and
49:09the double funeral was held in their
49:12honor
49:13I am the Rose of Sharon in the lily of
49:19the valleys as the lily among thorns so
49:23is my love among the daughters as the
49:26apple tree
49:26among the trees of the wood so is my
49:28beloved among the sons I sat down under
49:31his shadow with great delight and his
49:33fruit was sweet to my taste he brought
49:35me to the banqueting house and his
49:37banner over me was love stay me with
49:40flagons comfort me with apples for I am
49:43sick of love his left hand is under my
49:47head and his right hand doth embrace me
