- 0:00Welcome to Dear Hound Productions. My
- 0:02name is Dane [music] Cat3 and today
- 0:04we'll be covering the Five Nights at
- 0:05Freddy's CPU timeline. If you're
- 0:07unfamiliar, the term CPU refers to the
- 0:10Candies and Pop Goes universe. This is
- 0:13the shared universe that two out of the
- 0:14three ongoing Fazbear Fanverse
- 0:16Initiative series take place in. Those
- 0:18being Five Nights at Candies, or FNAC
- 0:20for short, and Pop Goes. The CPU only
- 0:23takes information presented in Five
- 0:25Nights at Freddy's 1 through 3 into
- 0:27account. So, anything that was revealed
- 0:29or introduced from that point onward,
- 0:31such as the purple guy being William
- 0:32Afton or all the future characters and
- 0:34establishments, doesn't apply to this
- 0:36universe. Our timeline begins in the mid
- 0:381950s when Mary Schmidt is born. Mary
- 0:41also has a brother. It's not clear if
- 0:43he's younger or older than her, but it
- 0:45doesn't really matter. When Mary is
- 0:47young, she and her mother make an
- 0:48origami cat out of blue paper. However,
- 0:51sadly, her mom eventually passes away.
- 0:53This leads Mary to view the origami cat
- 0:55as a sentimental item. a reminder of the
- 0:58time that she and her mom spent
- 0:59together. Her mother's death might also
- 1:01be the start of Mary's sleeping
- 1:03troubles, though thankfully her dad
- 1:05makes her a quiet, calming song for her
- 1:07to listen to on a tape player, and the
- 1:08tune helps her sleep. On the week of
- 1:11October 9th, 1961, her father takes her
- 1:14to the Rat and Cat Theater while her
- 1:15brother's at a summer camp, and these
- 1:17events are detailed during the Five
- 1:18Nights at Candies three mini games. The
- 1:21theater has three performers. Of course,
- 1:23there are the rat and the cat along with
- 1:25the puppeteer and his marionette,
- 1:27Vinnie. According to newspaper clippings
- 1:29found in the game, the puppeteer
- 1:31actually co-founded the theater. Before
- 1:33the shows, the mascots walk around the
- 1:35establishment and interact with guests.
- 1:37Playing games such as hideand seek to
- 1:39pass the time. Although they're
- 1:41relatively friendly, a kid remarks that
- 1:43one time the rat got angry after he
- 1:44asked for more modern arcade games. Back
- 1:47to Mary, she becomes fond of the
- 1:48mascots, playing hideand-seek with them
- 1:50every day. The week goes smoothly, but
- 1:53on the fifth day, when she returns to
- 1:55play hide-and-seek, every kid in the
- 1:57building is trying to play with the rat.
- 1:58So, he decides just to have one big game
- 2:00of hide-and-seek with everybody. All the
- 2:02kids scatter, taking up every hiding
- 2:04spot before Mary can get to them. As
- 2:06she's searching for an empty spot, the
- 2:08cat walks out of an employes only room,
- 2:10leaving the door jar. With nowhere else
- 2:12to hide, she enters the room. Inside she
- 2:15finds noteworthy items such as a
- 2:17diploma, a large metal locker, and a
- 2:19script on a table which reveals the
- 2:21cat's name to be candy. On another table
- 2:23rest the Vinnie marionette, and on the
- 2:25final one sits a telephone. After
- 2:28snooping around the room, Mary decides
- 2:30to hide in the metal locker. Not long
- 2:32after, the rat enters and starts looking
- 2:34for her. The puppeteer runs to him and
- 2:36tells Rat that he can't show up at the
- 2:38theater in his current condition. Rat
- 2:40assures him that he only had a couple of
- 2:42drinks, but the puppeteer sees past
- 2:44that, telling him how his drunkenness
- 2:45could get them in career-ending trouble.
- 2:47The rat boasts to the puppeteer that the
- 2:49kids love him. He's just jealous that he
- 2:51isn't the star of the show. The
- 2:53puppeteer tells the rat to take off his
- 2:55costume and go home, but he angrily
- 2:57declines, leading to the puppeteer
- 2:59trying to take off the mascot's head.
- 3:01The rat then yells at him to cut it out
- 3:03and begins choking the puppeteer, who
- 3:05then shoves the rat, making him stumble
- 3:07backwards and hit his head on a table.
- 3:09[music] Blood then begins seeping out of
- 3:10the costume. At first, the puppeteer
- 3:13can't believe it, but then reality hits.
- 3:16And at the worst possible time, the cat
- 3:18walks in. The puppeteer commands him to
- 3:20lock the door, then explains that what
- 3:22happened was an accident. However,
- 3:24unbeknownst to either of them, the rat
- 3:26isn't actually dead. As explained by an
- 3:28expert in a newspaper article, he was
- 3:30paralyzed when he hit his head on the
- 3:31table, but he could still see and hear
- 3:34everything. The cat tells the puppeteer
- 3:36they should call the police, but he
- 3:37insists they should claim they found the
- 3:39rat like this. The cat believes they
- 3:41should tell the truth, and he goes to
- 3:42dial 911. During his attempt to call the
- 3:45police, the puppeteer ruthlessly kills
- 3:46the cat by choking him with the rim of
- 3:48his costume head. Once the cat goes
- 3:50limp, the puppeteer lets his body fall
- 3:52into a sitting position on the wall. He
- 3:54takes a look at his degree and decides
- 3:56to call the police, telling them that he
- 3:58heard a rustling and found both of his
- 3:59co-workers dead. After hanging up the
- 4:02call, he takes his diploma, leaving the
- 4:03rat to bleed to death and a traumatized
- 4:05Mary to make her way out of the crime
- 4:07scene. Despite none of that being her
- 4:09fault, she still feels guilty for the
- 4:11events that transpired. Did you know the
- 4:13people with guilty conscious are more
- 4:14easily startled by loud noises?
- 4:20After this tragedy, the theater closes
- 4:22its doors and Mary represses her memory
- 4:24of the incident, leaving only her fear.
- 4:26The puppeteer eventually finds fame in
- 4:28acting, taking the role of a villain in
- 4:30a movie called Psychopath. His
- 4:33performance in the film is so good that
- 4:35leaves many wondering how he played a
- 4:36murderer so well. Guess we'll never
- 4:38know. Around this time, it's speculated
- 4:40that Mary moves into a new house. This
- 4:43information will be important later on,
- 4:44so keep it in mind. In the following
- 4:47year, 1962, the robotics corporation is
- 4:49founded. This robotics company creates
- 4:52well, robots, and in their founding
- 4:54year, they produce wire animatronics of
- 4:56the famous rat and cat for a brand new
- 4:58theater. Unlike most animatronics in
- 5:00Five Nights at Freddy's, these are
- 5:01controlled by an employee using the wire
- 5:03system attached to the endoskeleton. The
- 5:05animatronics are created using the suits
- 5:07from the original theater. [music]
- 5:09So, of course, they're possessed by the
- 5:10goats. The goats. They're possessed by
- 5:12the goats. So, of course, they're
- 5:14possessed by the ghost of the murdered
- 5:16actors. While this is never outright
- 5:18confirmed, it's pretty obvious that the
- 5:19costumes were used for the animatronic
- 5:21puppets, given that the rat costume is
- 5:23almost identical to the wire puppet, and
- 5:25there's no other explanation for other
- 5:26spirits possess the animatronics. The
- 5:28CPU has pretty specific rules for how
- 5:31ghosts come to be, and these are
- 5:32established in Pop Goes Arcade. In that
- 5:35RPG, King Freddy's researched the
- 5:37supernatural, and his son writes the
- 5:39following about him. He was adamant that
- 5:41creatures who were killed by the hands
- 5:43of another creature would get a second
- 5:44chance at living as a spectre or ghost,
- 5:47something like that. He said dying
- 5:49naturally would end the cycle. You turn
- 5:51into nothing, disappear. But being
- 5:53killed by someone else on purpose, the
- 5:56world, nature, karma, it would give you
- 5:59another chance. So since the rat and cat
- 6:01were murdered by the puppeteer, they're
- 6:03given a second chance at life and become
- 6:05ghosts who haunt the costumes they died
- 6:07in. During the theat's grand reopening,
- 6:09Mary's family visits and Mary is clearly
- 6:12traumatized. She begins crying upon
- 6:14entering the main room where the rat and
- 6:16cat are performing. Her brother is
- 6:18unfazed and runs up to the rat.
- 6:20Suddenly, the animatronic bends down and
- 6:22grabs the child's hair, refusing to let
- 6:25go. Though, luckily, this isn't fatal.
- 6:27It is terrible enough to get the theater
- 6:28shut down for good, [music] and the
- 6:30employee controlling the rat was
- 6:31arrested. Though, it wasn't his fault.
- 6:34It seems like the ghosts of the former
- 6:35rat actor intentionally attacked Mary's
- 6:37brother. After the theat's closure, the
- 6:40animatronics are sent back to the
- 6:41robotics factory to be used as a base
- 6:43for newer, fully mobile designs. Five
- 6:46Nights of Candies 3 takes place 2 weeks
- 6:48after Mary's brother was injured. Mary's
- 6:50having trouble sleeping due to
- 6:52recoccurring nightmares about the rat
- 6:53and cat. At a meeting with her
- 6:55therapist, they tell Mary that her
- 6:57brother's okay and that the animatronics
- 6:59were just malfunctioning, assuring her
- 7:01that they can't hurt anybody. I'm sure
- 7:04that'll age well. The therapist then
- 7:06inquires about Mary's nightmares. They
- 7:08pull out a picture she had drawn and ask
- 7:10her if the night terrors involved the
- 7:11terrifying rat and cat on the page. They
- 7:14then tell her that she can't let the
- 7:15monsters take control of her imagination
- 7:17and that she must face her fears headon
- 7:19to get rid of them and remember what
- 7:21happened at the theater a year ago.
- 7:23After the session, when Mary's back home
- 7:25and asleep in her bed, she enters a
- 7:27place in her mind called the dreamscape.
- 7:29This place takes the form of her old
- 7:30bedroom layout. And here the origami cat
- 7:33she made with her mother speaks to her.
- 7:35It has a very patient and helpful
- 7:37personality and it tells Mary to go into
- 7:39a deeper part of the dreamscape called
- 7:41the deepcape. Here she can find a tape
- 7:43player that she used in the past to help
- 7:44[music] her sleep. The deepcape is a
- 7:46massive area where Mary's deepest
- 7:48memories reside along with one giant
- 7:50shadowy rat and cat duo who are implied
- 7:53to be the ghosts of the death theater
- 7:54actors. More on that later. During the
- 7:57game, you can find pieces of newspapers,
- 7:59which is where a lot of the information
- 8:00for this early part of the timeline
- 8:02comes from. There are also some of
- 8:03Mary's oldest toys, which much like the
- 8:06origami cat, can also speak to her.
- 8:08After finding the cassette tape player,
- 8:10she returns to the dreamscape and heads
- 8:11to bed, which is where the night
- 8:13segments of the game begin. During these
- 8:15terrifying dreams, Mary sits on her bed,
- 8:18armed with a flashlight to ward off the
- 8:19monster rat and cat. Located behind her
- 8:22is the tape player she collected in the
- 8:23deepcape. And in front of her is a door,
- 8:25a cabinet, and her closet. As the night
- 8:28progresses, the monster rat can show up
- 8:30at any of these three locations. If he's
- 8:32not blinded by Mary's light, he will get
- 8:34inside the room, and Mary will have to
- 8:35keep her light on his eyes. If she
- 8:37manages to do this, then monster rat
- 8:39will hide under her bed. From there,
- 8:41Mary has to look down, find out which
- 8:43side of the bed he's under, then wait
- 8:44for him to peek his head up and blind
- 8:46him, sending him away for the time
- 8:47being. For six hours every night, Mary
- 8:50has to repeat this and keep the tape
- 8:52playing to make the nightmare end
- 8:53faster. As the nights go on, the monster
- 8:55cat starts to appear in her nightmares,
- 8:57too. He'll crawl up Mary's bed, his
- 9:00breathing getting louder as he gets
- 9:01closer. If she doesn't scare him off
- 9:03with her flashlight, he'll take Mary's
- 9:04tape player and jump scare her the next
- 9:06time she looks under the bed. Along with
- 9:08this, the deepcape and dreamscape
- 9:10change, and her old room starts to gain
- 9:13furniture as she remembers more and
- 9:14more. After the fifth night of facing
- 9:16her nightmares, she finally defeats
- 9:18them, allowing her to remember what she
- 9:20had witnessed on the day of the
- 9:21incident. Following this, on December
- 9:237th, 1962, Mary tells her therapist
- 9:26about her restored memories of the
- 9:28incident, almost clearing her of the
- 9:29guilt she once had. Mary's therapist
- 9:31then asks Miss Sherwood, who seems to be
- 9:33either a receptionist or assistant, to
- 9:35contact the authorities to get Mary's
- 9:37statement. Following this, the puppeteer
- 9:39is taken into custody and thrown in
- 9:41jail. This brings Mary a new guilt. the
- 9:43guilt of ruining the puppeteer's life.
- 9:45Later, in what could be reasonably
- 9:47assumed as the dreamscape, Mary
- 9:48confronts the puppeteer who's
- 9:50represented by his previously mentioned
- 9:51puppet, Vinnie. I don't think this is
- 9:53literally the puppeteer, given that, as
- 9:55far as we're aware, he's still alive.
- 9:57And unlike the ghost of the rat and
- 9:58[music] cat actress, he's not a shadow.
- 10:00So, Vinnie seems to just represent
- 10:02Mary's gill. At the start of the game,
- 10:04he even blamed her for the theater
- 10:05incident. Later in FNAC 1, we also see
- 10:08more of him being used as a general
- 10:09representation of Mary's guil. In the
- 10:11present, he symbolizes her remorse for
- 10:13helping convict the puppeteer. Vinnie
- 10:15tells her that before his imprisonment,
- 10:17he had everything and for his revenge,
- 10:19he will never let her sleep again. The
- 10:21puppet's appearance changes. His eye
- 10:23sockets widen and his mouth becomes
- 10:25filled with sharp, bloody teeth. Mary
- 10:27then finds herself in her old bedroom
- 10:29once more as Monster Vinnie attacks. His
- 10:32quick movements, crazy ability to avoid
- 10:34the flashlight, and overall
- 10:35aggressiveness make this the toughest
- 10:36nightmare yet. Though by sheer skill,
- 10:39Mary manages to survive till 6:00 a.m.
- 10:41and beat the nightmares once and for
- 10:42all. As of June 14th, 1963, Mary no
- 10:46longer fears the rat or cat. [music]
- 10:48She's now much more energetic and
- 10:49creative. The game concludes with a
- 10:51therapist confidence that their next
- 10:53meeting will be their last. Of course,
- 10:55our story is far from over. In the
- 10:58following year, 1964, a company known as
- 11:01CTC Entertainment emerges. It's unclear
- 11:04whether this is a rebranded version of
- 11:06the company that owned the Rat and Cat
- 11:07Theater or an entirely new company that
- 11:09formed and purchased the theat's rights.
- 11:12Regardless, it seems like Rat was
- 11:13dropped from the public image after he
- 11:15attacked Mary's brother. Now Candi is
- 11:17the star, hence the name CTC
- 11:19Entertainment, which likely stands for
- 11:21Candy the Cat Entertainment. The company
- 11:24then commisss two entirely new
- 11:25performers from Robotics. One is an
- 11:27updated version of Candy and a new
- 11:29character named Blank. Blank is a fully
- 11:31mobile walking whiteboard coated in a
- 11:33waxy substance that allows anyone to
- 11:35draw on him. And this new candy is
- 11:37pretty much just blue and upgraded.
- 11:39Anyways, on November 13th at midnight,
- 11:42which just so happens to be a Friday the
- 11:4313th, the new animatronics and the rat
- 11:45are sitting motionless on a conveyor
- 11:47belt. The rat then stands up on his own
- 11:49and walks out of view before returning
- 11:50to break the security camera. He then
- 11:53presumably kills two employees at the
- 11:54factory who then haunt Candy and Blank.
- 11:57Now, you might be wondering why Rat has
- 11:59taken on such a villainous role, and
- 12:01honestly, so are we. Ghosts in the CPU
- 12:04are all over the place. Spirits seen in
- 12:06the pop ghost games seem to be simply
- 12:08confused and can calm down. While the
- 12:10souls haunting the animatronics in FNAF
- 12:12and FNAF are typically more aggressive.
- 12:14However, none of these specters come
- 12:16close to the rat and cat. Those guys are
- 12:18rotten to the core. As we'll see in Five
- 12:21Nights at Candies 2, they very much
- 12:23enjoy their crimes and are much more
- 12:25violent than the other Candies
- 12:26characters. Some people think the rat is
- 12:29so evil because he was drunk when he
- 12:30died. So now he's eternally drunk and
- 12:32angry. But the cat, who was sober, is
- 12:35also hostile, so that doesn't seem to be
- 12:37the case. But on the topic of the rat
- 12:39being a drunk, he might just be evil
- 12:41because he was kind of a crummy guy. As
- 12:43we discussed earlier, he showed up to
- 12:44work intoxicated, yelled at kids,
- 12:46attacked his co-orker, and he was
- 12:48generally depicted as very egotistical,
- 12:50boasting about how he was the most
- 12:51popular character at the theater. While
- 12:53on the other hand, the cat and puppeteer
- 12:54kind of just treated like work. So, his
- 12:56evil behavior might simply be because he
- 12:58sucks, and that could have rubbed off on
- 13:00the cat. Something more definitive is
- 13:02that their spirits must be pretty
- 13:03powerful. According to FNAT creator Emil
- 13:05Mako, unlike the normal animatronics,
- 13:07the wire puppets have nothing electrical
- 13:09in them. So, the fact that Rat and by
- 13:11extension the cat can move around must
- 13:13mean they're pretty strong. Oh, and
- 13:15while we're diving into the rat's
- 13:16character, unlike the cat, we never
- 13:17learn his actual name. However, it's
- 13:19very likely Randy, as in FNAC 3, a kid
- 13:22mentions that maybe the rat and cat's
- 13:23real names rhyme. In that case, Randy
- 13:26and Candy would make a lot of sense, but
- 13:27again, nothing is ever confirmed. Later
- 13:29in 1964, Candy's Burgers and Fries opens
- 13:32its doors with the brand new Candy and
- 13:34blank animatronics as its stars. The rat
- 13:36is brought to the restaurant, too, but
- 13:38he's locked away in storage. The
- 13:39wrapping separated from the cat causes a
- 13:41shadow version of Candy to form at the
- 13:43restaurant, allowing the two to stay
- 13:45close to each other. Emil Mako is
- 13:47confirmed that shadow candy is an
- 13:49evolved version of the shadow cat,
- 13:51implying this appearance in Mary's
- 13:52deepcape is the cat actor's ghost
- 13:54haunting her. However, some people
- 13:56believe that the shadows in FNAC 3 are
- 13:58just part of Mary's trauma. But I have
- 14:00no clue why they'd be shadows if they
- 14:01weren't the rat and cat spirits, given
- 14:03that they manifest as shadows. Also,
- 14:06Emil specifically mentioned that Shadow
- 14:07Cat evolved into Shadow Candy, and this
- 14:09is the only shadow version of the cat we
- 14:11see. However, that doesn't mean it's the
- 14:13only one that exists, but then why not
- 14:14show us the other one? Who knows? Still,
- 14:16I'm inclined to believe that these are
- 14:18the rat and cat's ghost tormenting Mary.
- 14:20As to why these spirits would haunt her,
- 14:22maybe they blame her for their deaths.
- 14:24After all, Rat only entered the [music]
- 14:25employees only room to find Mary, and
- 14:26that led to his and the cat actor's
- 14:28demise. They likely gave up tormenting
- 14:30her after she stopped visiting the
- 14:32deepcape, so they returned to their
- 14:33bodies. This shadowy connection between
- 14:36the rat and cat really makes you think
- 14:37about the relationship. Are they just
- 14:39really good friends or something more?
- 14:42Anyway, a year later in 1965, Candy sees
- 14:46Shadow Candy, who leads them to the
- 14:48parts and service room where someone is
- 14:49working. Candy accidentally scares them
- 14:52and gets tased by the frightened
- 14:53employee. Also note the red and blue
- 14:55mugs on the office table. 11 years later
- 14:58in 1976, Blank walks around the
- 15:01restaurant picking up scattered
- 15:02drawings. When collecting one that
- 15:04depicts Shadow Candy, the cat suddenly
- 15:06appears in front of him. The point of
- 15:08having Shadow Candy messing with playing
- 15:10King Candy is never really made clear,
- 15:12but it seems like the rat and cat are
- 15:13out to get the animatronics, likely to
- 15:16prevent them from getting revenge. We'll
- 15:18see more of them being hostile towards
- 15:19other bots later on. And again, make
- 15:22sure to note the red and blue mugs now
- 15:23farther apart, growing distant perhaps.
- 15:26Sometime in either the 70s or 80s, the
- 15:29year is currently unclear, Fredbear's
- 15:30Family Diner opens for business. Its two
- 15:33stars, Fredbear and Spring Bonnie, are a
- 15:35golden duo of musical animals. Fredbear
- 15:38is a yellow furred bear wearing a brown
- 15:39top hat and bow tie. And Spring Bonnie
- 15:42is a similarly golden rabbit with only a
- 15:44black button near the top of their
- 15:45stomach. I know that most of the FNAF
- 15:47games, books, and movies, these animals
- 15:50have purple accessories, but those were
- 15:52only introduced in FNAF 4, which isn't
- 15:54cannon in the CPU. So, these guys are
- 15:57stuck with their FNAF 3 look. What these
- 15:59two continuities do have in common is
- 16:01that Fredbear and Spring Bonnie are a
- 16:02special kind of animatronic/suit hybrid.
- 16:05Employees can use a hand crank to recoil
- 16:07and compress the animatronic parts
- 16:08around the sides of the suit. Devices
- 16:10known as spring locks keep those parts
- 16:12fast and tight. This lets performers
- 16:14wear the animatronics. Unfortunately for
- 16:17the person inside, the suit is very
- 16:19sensitive. Breathing on the compressed
- 16:20spring locks [music] could accidentally
- 16:22loosen them. mashing the metatronic
- 16:24metal endoskeleton straight into the
- 16:25performers, causing almost certain
- 16:28death. Luckily for them, there's the
- 16:30safe room, a designated location for
- 16:32employees to bleed out in the event of a
- 16:34spring lock failure. Later on in the
- 16:3780s, Fredbear's Family Diner shut down
- 16:39for an unknown reason, which leads to
- 16:41the creation of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza,
- 16:43a similar restaurant with a whole new
- 16:45cast of characters. Rather than having
- 16:47Fredbear and Spring Bonnie reprise their
- 16:49roles on stage, four completely new
- 16:51animatronics take their place. Those
- 16:53being the brown-haired bear singer
- 16:55Freddy Fazbear, the blue-haired purple
- 16:57fuzzy guitarist Bonnie the Bunny, and
- 17:00the hungry backup singer Chica, who has
- 17:02a little pink frosted companion Mr.
- 17:04Cupcake. Cast away on Pirates Cove is
- 17:07the pirate Foxy. And finally, the last
- 17:10character here is none other than the
- 17:11spooky sock puppet, the Marionette, who
- 17:14may or may have not been a character
- 17:15from Fredbears. Unfortunately for the
- 17:18rest of Fredbear and Friends, they're
- 17:19taken to the safe room and left to rot.
- 17:21However, the Spring Bonnie suit would
- 17:23soon be reused by a terrible man named
- 17:25Simon Fitzgerald, the twin brother
- 17:27[music] of Jeremy Fitzgerald, who is a
- 17:29key character in the CPU. Anyways, Simon
- 17:32is the identity of the purple man in
- 17:33this universe. And unlike William
- 17:35Aftton, we don't know much about his
- 17:37motives, but we'll discuss some
- 17:39possibilities later on. Simon starts his
- 17:41streak of murders with a young boy
- 17:43trapped outside of Freddy's, as seen in
- 17:44the Take [music] Cake to the Children
- 17:46Miname. He drives up to the entrance of
- 17:48Freddy's, takes the boy's life, and
- 17:50escapes in his car. The soul of this
- 17:52dead child haunts the Marionette. And
- 17:54before I get any angry comments, in the
- 17:57CPU, the Marionette is a boy. In the
- 18:00movie and mainline universe, they're
- 18:02possessed by Charlotte Emily. However,
- 18:04she was only introduced to the games in
- 18:05Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator,
- 18:07which isn't canon in this universe.
- 18:10Sometime around this tragedy, Foxy goes
- 18:12out of order. And as we learn from the
- 18:14newspaper clippings in FNAF 1, on the
- 18:16week of June 26th, Simon wears the
- 18:18Spring Bonnie suit and lurs five
- 18:20children into the safe room in groups.
- 18:21He murders them all and hides their
- 18:23corpses in the animatronics. The
- 18:25marionette then helps their souls
- 18:27possess the mascots they've been stuffed
- 18:28into, giving life to Freddy, Bonnie,
- 18:31Chica, Foxy, and the ghostly Golden
- 18:34Freddy. Once the children are reported
- 18:36missing, the police search Freddy's and
- 18:38find security footage of Simon luring
- 18:40the kids. But with no concrete evidence
- 18:42or bodies, Simon gets away, and the
- 18:45children's remains are never found.
- 18:47After this, the safe room is sealed off,
- 18:49but the Spring Bonnie suit is taken.
- 18:51However, the fate of Fredbear is left
- 18:53unclear. Maybe he was moved. I don't
- 18:55know. He's just not in the safe room the
- 18:57next time we see it. On the topic of
- 18:59confusing stuff, let's discuss Simon's
- 19:01motives. In Pop Ghost 2016, he was a man
- 19:04who killed not for pleasure, but to
- 19:06extend his life, which he believed was
- 19:08possible with the blood of younger
- 19:09people. This might still be the case in
- 19:11the modern lore. However, it's not
- 19:13exactly clear. Dane from the future
- 19:16here. Ignore all of that. His motives
- 19:17seem to be the same in the present
- 19:19story. Right after we finished this
- 19:21video, there was a new pop goes
- 19:22evergreen teaser named Death is an
- 19:24animal in which we hear a very spooky
- 19:26voice discuss how death is like a wolf
- 19:28that hunts humanity and robs of its true
- 19:30potential. After the voice's own
- 19:32experience with death, they want to
- 19:33break this system, making death choose
- 19:35more carefully who perishes and also
- 19:37have it regret who it's taken, turning
- 19:39it from a wolf to a good dog. This voice
- 19:42is pretty obviously Simon Fitzgerald,
- 19:44given how it matches up with his 2016
- 19:46goal of immortality. Popco's creator,
- 19:48Kane Carter, also hearted a comment
- 19:50saying it was him. So, yeah, it's pretty
- 19:52obvious. In the video, Simon also
- 19:54mentions that all this stems from when
- 19:55he experienced loss. So, it seems like
- 19:57someone close to him died, making him
- 19:59desire a way to command death. In Pop
- 20:01Goes Arcade, Simon is seemingly
- 20:02represented by King Freddy. And
- 20:04interestingly enough, the passing of his
- 20:06father sparked his interest in making
- 20:07everyone immortal. Similar to how this
- 20:09unknown loss in Simon's life made him
- 20:11interested in controlling death. So,
- 20:13it's possible that Simon and Jeremy's
- 20:15father passed away. More on King Freddy
- 20:17and Popco's arcade in like an hour.
- 20:18[music] The teaser also features a table
- 20:20with a microscope, bandages, and a
- 20:22bloody looking rag, suggesting that
- 20:24Simon is still trying to cheat death
- 20:25with blood. The text throughout the
- 20:27video also gets progressively bloodier,
- 20:29further implying this. When Simon calls
- 20:31death a good dog, we see a much more
- 20:32decayed withered Freddy, hinting that
- 20:34Simon is aware of or later becomes aware
- 20:36of the supernatural and possibly wants
- 20:38to use it as a way to control death.
- 20:40However, he could just be collecting
- 20:41blood samples from the possessed
- 20:42animatronics for further research. In a
- 20:45canceled game known as Popco Finale, one
- 20:47of the levels involved an older Jeremy
- 20:49exploring Simon's bunker where he hid
- 20:51and also kept clues and photos regarding
- 20:53his victims. I think what we're seeing
- 20:55here is a similar concept. The house in
- 20:57this teaser appears to be abandoned and
- 20:59we can see evidence of Simon's
- 21:00experiments. So, it seems that Evergreen
- 21:02will likely see Simon's layer and learn
- 21:04more about his research. Okay, that's
- 21:06out of the way. Let's return to the
- 21:07present before Blake and I realize we
- 21:09had to redo all of this. But back to the
- 21:11CPU timeline. After Simon's victims are
- 21:14stuffed into the animatronics, Freddy
- 21:15and the band start to leak blood and
- 21:17mucus out of their eyes and mouths. Due
- 21:19to health concerns, Freddy Fazbear's
- 21:21pizza closes. Following that, Fazbear
- 21:23Entertainment retrofits the band with
- 21:25newer technology, but ends up scrapping
- 21:27them due to how ugly and smelly they
- 21:29are. Then, in a stroke of genius, they
- 21:32make the best version of all the
- 21:33Freddy's animatronics, the toys. This
- 21:36shiny plastic bunch of robotic animals
- 21:38consists of Toy Freddy, Toy Bonnie, Toy
- 21:41Chica, and Toy Foxy. In the mainline
- 21:43universe, the toy version of Foxy is
- 21:45referred to as Funtime Foxy. No, not
- 21:48that [music] Funtime Foxy. However,
- 21:50since the CPU doesn't take anything past
- 21:52three into account, I assume the Funtime
- 21:54name doesn't stick. What does stay,
- 21:57however, is everyone's favorite toy
- 21:58Matronic, Bloomboy. All of these
- 22:01animatronics are programmed with a
- 22:03criminal database so they can detect a
- 22:04predator a mile away. In late 1987, the
- 22:08new and improved Freddy Fazer's Pizza is
- 22:10opened, and the older, now withered
- 22:12animatronics are left in the parts and
- 22:14service room. Luckily for the
- 22:15marionette, he's put in the prize
- 22:17corner. Sometime after opening, Toy Foxy
- 22:20is torn apart by the world's strongest
- 22:22children and ends up repurposed as a
- 22:24failed take apart and put back together
- 22:25attraction. Sadly, Fazeret Entertainment
- 22:28can't seem to get away from Simon, who
- 22:30kills five more children, as shown by
- 22:32the Save Them miniame. The victims then
- 22:35end up possessing the toy animatronics,
- 22:37who begin acting almost aggressively
- 22:39towards adults. Mary, now an adult
- 22:41herself, visits the pizzeria on a busy
- 22:44day. So busy, in fact, that large groups
- 22:47of children are blocking the doorways to
- 22:48parts of the pizzeria. Mary wanders over
- 22:51to the prize corner and sees the
- 22:52marionette performing a fantastic dance.
- 22:55The dancing puppet resurrects her past
- 22:57trauma as its design reminds her of
- 22:59Vinnie. This makes her mind merge the
- 23:01two into one. The puppet's wide smile
- 23:03morphs into an eerie frown and its red
- 23:06cheeks and lipstick turn blue. Later in
- 23:08the year, Mary gets a job as a security
- 23:10guard at the Robotus Corporation
- 23:12factory, possibly as an attempt to clear
- 23:14her resurface trauma. Let's take a
- 23:17detour back to Candy's burgers and
- 23:19fries, where Candi sees Shadow Candy and
- 23:21follows him through the restaurant. The
- 23:23ghostly cat leads their normal cats to
- 23:25the office where her favorite red mug is
- 23:27now lonely with the blue mug nowhere to
- 23:29be seen. Also, there's a crying child in
- 23:31the office. When he's approached by
- 23:33Candy, [music] he runs out of the room,
- 23:35cheerful that he got a visit from the
- 23:36old blue cat. Candy walks out of the
- 23:39office and follows Shadow Candy once
- 23:40more, who leads him to the kid and his
- 23:43father, who is scolding the child. In
- 23:45response, Candy attacks the mean old
- 23:47dad. And following this, he swiftly put
- 23:50out commission, leaving Blank to be the
- 23:52main performer until new animatronics
- 23:54are created. Back at the factory on
- 23:56September 22nd, 1987, while Mary's
- 23:59watching the cameras, she sees a
- 24:01hallucination of Vinnie, who is sticking
- 24:03with his Freddy's inspired look. He
- 24:05stands in the dark staring at the
- 24:07camera. Mary turns it away, but when she
- 24:09moves it back, he's closer. When she
- 24:11turns it once again, Vinnie, now with
- 24:14white, spooky glowing eyes, stares at
- 24:16her and the feed cuts. The next night,
- 24:19while watching the cameras, Mary falls
- 24:20asleep, leading to what is quite
- 24:22possibly the worst thing to happen while
- 24:24falling asleep at your job. Two
- 24:26unattended children somehow sneak into
- 24:28the factory, where Candy's three miniame
- 24:30shows us that the cat and Shadow Rat are
- 24:32lurking. In Shadow Rat's first
- 24:34appearance outside of Mary's mind, he
- 24:36orders the cat to take the two children
- 24:38and put them on the conveyor belt. This
- 24:40forces them into a machine which kills
- 24:42them and spits out endoskeleton parts
- 24:44covered in the remains. In the FNAT 3
- 24:46miniame, we see a new version of Candy
- 24:48and a sister named Cindy come out of the
- 24:50machine. However, according to the first
- 24:52Candies game, they aren't made until the
- 24:5425th of September. So, them appearing
- 24:56here is likely a representation of how
- 24:58the twins that the rat and Cat murdered
- 25:00eventually become Candy and Cindy. The
- 25:02next day, September 24th, the police
- 25:05tape off the conveyor belt and Mary
- 25:07returns to work. Vinnie appears again,
- 25:09but he's twitching, his head moving
- 25:11erratically. Vinnie's presence here
- 25:13likely represents Mary's guilt for
- 25:15falling asleep and allowing Rat and Cat
- 25:17to kill the twins. Similar to the last
- 25:19time he appeared, the sad puppet gets
- 25:21closer when Mary moves the camera back
- 25:22to look at him and the feed cuts. The
- 25:24following night, September 25th, the
- 25:27site has been cleaned up and Candy and
- 25:28Cindy make their grand debut. Sitting on
- 25:31the same conveyor belt the twins were
- 25:32killed on. Vinnie, back to his favorite
- 25:35spot in the factory, points at Candy and
- 25:37Cindy, ensuring Mary knows the terrible
- 25:39mistake she's made. When the camera
- 25:42moves back, the cats are staring at her
- 25:43with glowing eyes. It seems like the
- 25:45twins haunted the gore covered
- 25:47endoskeletons, and those parts were then
- 25:49turned into candy and Cindy, allowing
- 25:51them to haunt the cats. It appears that
- 25:53some other animatronics were created
- 25:55around this time. Those being Chester
- 25:57the chimpanzeee and three penguins who
- 25:58[music] function as waiters. Just like
- 26:00the cat twins, Chester and one of the
- 26:02penguins are haunted by the victims of
- 26:04the rat and cat. Five Nights at Candies
- 26:062 confirms that six people died at the
- 26:08factory, the people who haunt Blank and
- 26:11Old Candy, the twins who possess the new
- 26:13cats, and presumably two other people
- 26:15who became Chester and the penguin. On
- 26:17Mary's last night at the factory, she
- 26:19goes through some old recordings and
- 26:21what appears to be an attempt to find
- 26:22something with the rat and cat. She
- 26:24discovers footage of Blank and Old Candy
- 26:26in their prime. Even with this being a
- 26:28recording from 1964, a Vinnie
- 26:30hallucination appears behind them. Then
- 26:32in a flash of static, he appears in
- 26:34front of the camera saying his iconic
- 26:36Vinnie catchphrase, "A mistake. My
- 26:39mistake. A problem. Your problem." This
- 26:42phrase likely refers to the incident at
- 26:44the original theater. Killing the rat
- 26:46and cat actress was the puppeteer's
- 26:48mistake and problem, [music] which then
- 26:50became Mary's problem as she witnessed
- 26:51the whole event. Anyways, rewinding the
- 26:54footage to earlier on the 13th, she
- 26:56finds what it's presumed she was looking
- 26:57for. Footage of the rat. As we
- 26:59previously discussed, he stands up all
- 27:01by himself, turns off the camera, and
- 27:03probably kills some factory workers who
- 27:05end up possessing Old Candy and Blank.
- 27:07After this, Mary's likely fired from her
- 27:09job because she let two children die
- 27:11while snoozing on the clock. Back to
- 27:13Candy's burgers and fries. Old Candy now
- 27:15resides in parts and service. And he's
- 27:18replaced by the newly made and newly
- 27:20haunted Candy, Cindy, Chester, and the
- 27:22Penguin. Skipping ahead to November,
- 27:25Jeremy Fitzgerald, twin brother of the
- 27:26purple guy, who may or may have not
- 27:28drawn himself on blank, gets hired at
- 27:30Freddy's as a night guard. According to
- 27:32My Pop Goes, Jeremy was a big fan of the
- 27:34Freddy's gang, and likely even came up
- 27:36with his own animal characters, or at
- 27:38least made artwork of the animatronics.
- 27:40During his night shifts, he's hunted by
- 27:42the toy and withered characters, but
- 27:44equipped with a spare Freddy Fazbear
- 27:46mask and flashlight, he fends them off.
- 27:49On the fourth night, the phone guy tells
- 27:50him that the place is under
- 27:51investigation and may have to close for
- 27:53a few days, undoubtedly because of
- 27:56Simon's recent murder spree. The
- 27:58pizzeria temporarily closes, and Jeremy
- 28:00survives the week, transferring to the
- 28:02day shift right after, where he's told
- 28:03to stay close to the animatronics due to
- 28:05their odd behavior. While on the shift,
- 28:07Toy Bonnie mistakes him for his brother,
- 28:09Simon. And with the intent of getting
- 28:11revenge on the man who took his life, he
- 28:13lunges at Jeremy, sinking his hard
- 28:16plastic teeth into his skull, going
- 28:18straight into his brain and damaging his
- 28:20frontal lobe. This incident goes on to
- 28:22be known as the bite of 87. And despite
- 28:24the gruesome attack, Jeremy lives, but
- 28:26suffers major psychological trauma.
- 28:29Sometime later, he moves to England and
- 28:31changes his name to Fritz Glade. After
- 28:33Jeremy/F Fritz's leave, Freddy's find
- 28:36somebody named Fritz Smith to take over
- 28:37the night shift. But after his first
- 28:39night, he's fired for his bad odor and
- 28:41tampering with the animatronics. This
- 28:43leads to the closure of Freddy Fazer's
- 28:45Pizza once again, and the toy
- 28:47animatronics are scrapped for good. Back
- 28:49at Candy's Burgers and Fries, Blank is
- 28:51attacked by a night guard with a wrench,
- 28:53and the culprit is never seen again.
- 28:55It's not clear if he was killed and his
- 28:56body was hidden or if he simply fled.
- 28:58But regardless, the establishment needs
- 29:00a new guard. Mary Schmid gets the job.
- 29:02Starting on November 15th, still riddled
- 29:05with guilt, she will sometimes see the
- 29:06words, "You fell asleep and [music] it
- 29:08is your fault." when looking at Cam 3,
- 29:11throughout the week, Mary faces off
- 29:12against the haunted animatronics, using
- 29:15messages left by the junior manager to
- 29:16learn how to survive. She also has
- 29:18access to the cameras with built-in
- 29:20night vision features so she can see the
- 29:22animatronics positions throughout the
- 29:23night. Mary's hunted by Candy, Cindy,
- 29:26Chester, Old Candy, and Blank, who all
- 29:28try to break into her office and kill
- 29:30her. The possessed penguin is also a
- 29:32team player, unlike the other two
- 29:33non-possessed waiters who broke down,
- 29:35leaving only the haunted penguin. The
- 29:38fact that he's supernatural is likely
- 29:39the reason they still functioning, and
- 29:41he uses that ghostly power to try to get
- 29:43into Mary's office and interfere with
- 29:44its systems. She makes it through the
- 29:46week unscathed and she gets a paycheck
- 29:48of $100.50.
- 29:50Good job, Mary. Even though her hefty
- 29:52paycheck could buy her a mansion, she
- 29:54still isn't satisfied. So the next night
- 29:56when another guard named Frank is
- 29:58supposed to be working, she takes the
- 29:59shift instead. The junior manager is
- 30:02pretty upset with Mary considering he
- 30:03thought she wanted to transfer out of
- 30:05the night shifts. It's unclear what she
- 30:07did to get the shift from Frank, but she
- 30:09doesn't get arrested. So oh so glorious
- 30:11Frank thankfully lives. On this night,
- 30:14things are different. The animatronics
- 30:16are way more aggressive than usual. And
- 30:18the thing that Mary possibly came to
- 30:19find reveals itself. Hidden deep in a
- 30:22room that the employees theorize is full
- 30:23of bowling equipment is none other than
- 30:25the rat. And at last, he emerges.
- 30:27[music]
- 30:28While in the pursuit to kill Mary, he
- 30:30stays hidden in the dark corners, making
- 30:32sure to remain unseen by the other
- 30:33animatronics. If not, the penguin would
- 30:36ram him at 30 mph, killing him
- 30:38instantly. Seriously, in a Five Nights
- 30:40at Candies 3 miniame, we see that the
- 30:42animatronics try to attack Rat, likely
- 30:44wanting revenge on the rodent who killed
- 30:46them. But anyway, Mary survives the
- 30:48night and gets paid $2010 for overtime.
- 30:51After this, she returns once more to
- 30:53Candies, Burgers, and Fries and tampers
- 30:55with the animatronics for the custom
- 30:57night. There are a few ways this
- 30:58concludes. In every ending, Mary's fired
- 31:01for wearing too [music] much perfume and
- 31:03messing with the robots. So, we know
- 31:04that all goes down the same way, but in
- 31:07the 720 ending, when Mary's let go, the
- 31:09origami cat is left on the desk. There
- 31:11are two other endings which are nearly
- 31:13identical in which Mary deactivates all
- 31:16the animatronics except maybe the
- 31:17penguin and lets the power in the office
- 31:19run out, leaving her alone with her
- 31:21thoughts. Here she thinks to herself,
- 31:23"Now I've done it. No more power, no
- 31:26lights, nothing. No danger, no worries,
- 31:29no fun. Just me alone in the dark. All I
- 31:32can do now is wait it out and think
- 31:33about what I've done." So Mary simply
- 31:36sits and thinks to herself, dealing with
- 31:37her trauma internally. Afterwards, she
- 31:40gets fired as normal. We theorize that
- 31:42sometime after Mary's let go, she has a
- 31:44nightmare about candies that plays out
- 31:46in the null night. This secret level
- 31:48begins with Mary checking the main stage
- 31:50where Shadow Candy appears. When she
- 31:52lowers the monitor, he's standing in the
- 31:53office and quickly attacks her. She's
- 31:56then transported to a strange version of
- 31:57Candy's burgers and fries, which doesn't
- 32:00seem to be quite real. Though at
- 32:02purplish lighting, the origami cat on
- 32:04the desk and shadow candy's new eerie
- 32:05abilities such as only appearing in
- 32:07either the darkness or the light make it
- 32:09clear that this night isn't set in
- 32:10reality. This likely takes place within
- 32:13Mary's mind as that's where the origami
- 32:15cat was featured [music] in Candy's 3.
- 32:17He appears as an Easter egg throughout
- 32:18this game, but that seems to be a
- 32:20hallucination that quickly vanishes. In
- 32:22the null knight, he's here to stay,
- 32:24suggesting that this whole sequence is
- 32:25either in Mary's dreamscape or deepcape.
- 32:28Shadow Candy's presence also further
- 32:29hints at this being in the deepcape as
- 32:31that's where he appeared back when he
- 32:32was the shadow cat. At the beginning of
- 32:34the night, you can also see that Blank
- 32:36is missing, implying from the start that
- 32:38this whole thing isn't real. Whatever it
- 32:41is, Shadow Candy will slowly make his
- 32:42way towards the office from Cam 13. Mary
- 32:45will have to find and stare at him until
- 32:47he fades away, retreating to the rat's
- 32:48dingy closet. [music]
- 32:50If she fails, he'll reach his hands out
- 32:52and approach her, stealing some of her
- 32:53power if he gets locked out in time.
- 32:55Though if he makes inside, he'll set
- 32:57back the clock by an hour and take the
- 32:59origami cat, forcing him to find where
- 33:00he hit him on the cameras. Collecting
- 33:03the paper cat returns both him and the
- 33:05hour that Shadow Candy stole. Once Mary
- 33:07survives this night, her story is pretty
- 33:09much done. She is mentioned later in
- 33:11FNAC 2 and My Pop Goes, but she doesn't
- 33:13have to deal with the haunted
- 33:14animatronics anymore. 2 years later, in
- 33:171989, we see that the rat's room has
- 33:19been locked up, keeping the evil within
- 33:21contained. However, stupid Chester looks
- 33:23for a key to open up. For what reason? I
- 33:26have no idea. Maybe he wants to destroy
- 33:28his killer. While searching, he steps
- 33:30into the parts and service room,
- 33:32revealing that he, Candy, and Cindy are
- 33:34all being upgraded. Though,
- 33:36unfortunately for Chester, his version
- 33:38two was rejected. He then makes his way
- 33:40into the office and finds the original
- 33:42Vinnie himself above the key, but he
- 33:44only appears for a split second before
- 33:45vanishing. Vinnie's inclusion here seems
- 33:48to have no real relevance, and it's
- 33:50unknown if this will even be included in
- 33:51Five Nights at Candies 2DX, which is the
- 33:53official Fanverse release of the second
- 33:55game, but for the time being, we'll keep
- 33:57it in the story. Chester picks up the
- 34:00key, then unlocks the rat store, and
- 34:01that's where the miniame ends. For some
- 34:04reason, Chester doesn't kill the evil
- 34:05rodent. Instead, he and old Candy are
- 34:08disassembled by employees, and their
- 34:09parts are stashed in boxes within parts
- 34:11and services.
- 34:12>> [music]
- 34:12>> Gold Cat was likely disassembled because
- 34:14he's useless to the restaurant, but
- 34:16we're not quite sure why Chester was
- 34:17taken apart. [music] It's possible he
- 34:19was dismantled because Rat may have
- 34:20damaged him upon entering his room. You
- 34:22would think that the rat destroyed
- 34:24Chester considering last we saw he was
- 34:26unlocking his closet, but according to
- 34:27the Candy's creator, Emil Macko, that's
- 34:29not the case. Following this, his stage
- 34:32is taped off and prepped for removal.
- 34:34Later, the rat once again emerges and
- 34:36scatters Chester's body parts throughout
- 34:38the restaurant. During this time, the
- 34:39penguin wakes up and upon leaving parts
- 34:42and services, finds one of Chester's
- 34:44arms in the middle of the room. The rat
- 34:46quickly closes his door, apparently
- 34:47satisfied with his destruction for now.
- 34:50Penguin then waddles his way around the
- 34:51establishment. He picks up the rest of
- 34:53Chester's pieces and returns them to his
- 34:55box, leaving them to be shipped off to
- 34:57the Robotus Corp factory, where he's
- 34:59eventually reassembled. Around a year
- 35:01later, Mary Schmidt gives birth to her
- 35:03daughter, Marilyn [music] Schmidt,
- 35:04although we don't know anything about
- 35:05her father. Yet another year later in
- 35:081991, the new Candy and Cindy
- 35:10animatronics replace the older ones, as
- 35:12evidenced by children's drawings
- 35:14mentioning the new versions. But despite
- 35:16being new and shiny, these guys are
- 35:18still haunted by the twins that the cat
- 35:19murdered. Sometime after, Blank wakes up
- 35:22and picks up drawings left in the
- 35:23restaurant after dark. Once he collects
- 35:25all four, he goes back to sleep. The
- 35:28following year, Candy's tie winds up in
- 35:30the office. Though when confirmed, it's
- 35:32likely the rat took it and put it there.
- 35:34Candy being sad and tireless sends Cindy
- 35:36to return it to him. And shockingly,
- 35:39without any intervention from the rat,
- 35:40she gets the tie and gives it back to
- 35:42its rightful owner. In 1993, yes, again,
- 35:46one year later, an unnamed nightgard
- 35:48dies at the cold metal hands of the rat.
- 35:50We see this depicted in a Fact 3 miniame
- 35:52where the rat has to sneak past the
- 35:54other animatronics as he makes his way
- 35:56towards the office. Shadow Candy also
- 35:58appears outside of the office window.
- 36:00And yes, this is clearly Shadow Candy,
- 36:02not one of the other cat characters.
- 36:05Candy, Cindy, and old Candy are all
- 36:07accounted for, even if old Candy
- 36:09technically shouldn't be here. More on
- 36:10that at the end of this video. This
- 36:13sprite also has the exact same body and
- 36:15eye color as the shadow rat's miniame
- 36:17appearance. And this cat doesn't harm
- 36:19the rat, unlike the other characters. As
- 36:21to why he's outside the window, it could
- 36:23just be a reference to his secret
- 36:25appearance in the original Five Nights
- 36:26at Candies, but it might hint that he
- 36:28was distracting the guard so his partner
- 36:30in crime could get into the office. As
- 36:32the rat approaches the security guard,
- 36:34you can see he's looking out the window.
- 36:36However, this might be wrong as Shadow
- 36:38Candy vanishes if you touch him, which
- 36:40is strange, but was likely added to
- 36:42confirm that he's a ghost. Regardless,
- 36:44the rat murders this poor guard, but
- 36:46he's not Mary, so who cares? Later that
- 36:49day, the body is found and reported to
- 36:51the police, leading to an investigation.
- 36:54Cop cars surround the restaurant and
- 36:55officers search the building. Meanwhile,
- 36:58Candy wakes up and scouts the place. His
- 37:00search leading him to the security
- 37:01office. Inside, he finds the bloody mess
- 37:04left by old Randy. Somehow knowing Candi
- 37:07seen his work, he begins to laugh,
- 37:09directing Candy to what was once
- 37:10Chester's room. Before he can confront
- 37:13the rodent, Rat slams his door shut and
- 37:15cops, presuming it was Candy who had
- 37:17killed the guard, burst into the room
- 37:18with batons out. The robot cat gets
- 37:20tased by a really happy technician. And
- 37:22with that, he, his remaining friends,
- 37:25and the rat, are sent to the robotics
- 37:27factory, and Candy's burgers and fries
- 37:28is shut down, presumably along with CTC
- 37:31Entertainment as well. One of the
- 37:32animatronics, excited to no longer be
- 37:34stuck in a burger restaurant, parties
- 37:36too hard and winds up murdering Robotics
- 37:38employee, [music] leading to the factory
- 37:40being shut down too with Candy's Burgers
- 37:43and Fries closed for good. Let's go back
- 37:44to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, which is
- 37:46speculated to have reopened sometime in
- 37:48the early '90s. This smaller scale
- 37:50establishment uses the refurbished Wii
- 37:52animatronics previously seen in Five
- 37:54Nights at Freddy's 2. Unlike their past
- 37:56locations, Fazma Entainment just can't
- 37:58seem to make this one a hit. After being
- 38:00open for an unknown amount of time,
- 38:02Fazbear tries to sell off the pizzeria
- 38:04to any companies willing to buy it. With
- 38:06the reputation forever smeared by
- 38:07Simon's murders, no one is willing to
- 38:09purchase it. Due to a lack of revenue,
- 38:12Fazer Entertainment is forced to close
- 38:13the establishment by the end of 1993.
- 38:16One month before their closure, they
- 38:18hire a new night guard named Mike
- 38:20Schmid, who shockingly has no relation
- 38:22to Mary Schmidt. The week before he
- 38:24starts his work, the phone guy, who was
- 38:26last seen in FNAF 2, takes the night
- 38:28shift and records messages to help him
- 38:30settle in and not get forcefully stuffed
- 38:32into a Freddy Fazbear suit. He manages
- 38:34to leave one each night, but before he
- 38:36can record his fourth, the animatronics
- 38:38ambush him, forcing him to use all his
- 38:40power before killing him. On November
- 38:428th, Mike shows up for his first shift.
- 38:45And for five nights, he uses the
- 38:46information on the pre-recorded messages
- 38:48to survive. After his fifth shift ends,
- 38:50he decides to do some overtime and comes
- 38:52back for the next night. For that, he
- 38:54gets paid $120.50.
- 38:57Mike, however, ruling in cash, isn't
- 39:00done just yet. He shows up yet again for
- 39:02a total of seven nights at Freddy's and
- 39:04tampers with animatronics, making them
- 39:06as aggressive or uncaring as he wants.
- 39:09After this move, Fazbear gets sick of
- 39:11him and fires him for messing with the
- 39:12animatronics along with
- 39:14unprofessionalism and his bad smell, the
- 39:16opposite of what Mary was fired for.
- 39:19Following this, Freddy Fazbear's final
- 39:21pizzeria closes, and Fazbear
- 39:23Entertainment presumably goes bankrupt,
- 39:25ending 1993 with a bang. Simon, catching
- 39:28wind of the snooze, sneaks into the
- 39:30pizzeria on a rainy day, eager to tie up
- 39:32loose ends. He hides in the safe room as
- 39:35a mysterious character known as Shadow
- 39:37Freddy lures the animatronics right to
- 39:39him. Simon pops out once the bots get
- 39:41close and dismantles them one by one.
- 39:43First Freddy, followed by Bonnie, then
- 39:46Chica, and finally Foxy. Simon thinks
- 39:49he's won. However, he's just freed his
- 39:51victims from their mental prisons. The
- 39:53ghosts manifest and corner him in the
- 39:55safe room. One of the spirits chases him
- 39:57into the Spring Bonnie suit while the
- 39:58rest watch. Simon laughs at his victims,
- 40:01thinking he's once again got away. But
- 40:03he finally gets a good dose of karma
- 40:05when the spring locks in the suit fail,
- 40:07likely having gotten wet thanks to the
- 40:09water leaking through the ceiling. The
- 40:10animatronic parts are released straight
- 40:12into Simon's body, merging him with
- 40:14Spring Bonnie. He bleeds out on the
- 40:17floor, drowning in his own blood as the
- 40:19spirits disappear. In an even worse
- 40:21twist of fate for Simon, in 1998, he
- 40:23misses the birth of his niece, Bonnie
- 40:25Glade. Speaking of children, let's focus
- 40:28on Marilyn Schmidt, the now 17-year-old
- 40:30daughter of Mary Schmidt. In August of
- 40:322007, she loses a bet that she made with
- 40:35her friends, forcing her to spend five
- 40:36whole nights in abandoned robotics
- 40:38factory. Shockingly, this won't be her
- 40:41first time. Apparently, she spent five
- 40:43nights in the factory before. To not
- 40:45raise any suspicion, she tells her
- 40:47parents that she's spending the night at
- 40:48her friend's house. Once she arrives,
- 40:50she travels to the second floor,
- 40:52presumably above where the twins were
- 40:53murdered. She finds an old office set up
- 40:56for her. It comes equipped with cameras
- 40:58and the ability to ring phones located
- 41:00around the factory. After settling in,
- 41:02she realizes that she's not alone.
- 41:05Locked inside with her are the withered
- 41:06animatronics. No, not those. These
- 41:09withered animatronics. Every one of them
- 41:12is covered in jagged rips and broken
- 41:14parts. Rat may be responsible for
- 41:16damaging the candy's characters. The
- 41:18FNAC 2 trailer also glitches out when
- 41:20the text they were left to RAW appears
- 41:22and instead it reads they were left to
- 41:24rat further implying that Rat might have
- 41:26had a hand in making the animatronics so
- 41:28withered. As the week goes on, the
- 41:31animatronics get more aggressive. Candy,
- 41:33Cindy, and Blank roam the halls. Penguin
- 41:36messes with the facto's electronics and
- 41:38Chester hits the vents in attempt to
- 41:39break through. Marilyn has to use the
- 41:41facto's phones to lure the animatronics
- 41:43around the building. Luckily, she
- 41:45survives her payless shifts and
- 41:46completes the bet. A newspaper reveals
- 41:48that the factory has been scheduled for
- 41:50demolition the following week. But
- 41:52before that, Marilyn sticks around for a
- 41:54sixth night. Here, Candy and his crew
- 41:56are absent. Instead, she gets a visit
- 41:58from her mom's two favorite characters,
- 42:00the rat and cat. These lethal love birds
- 42:03attempt to kill Marilyn. And if they do
- 42:05succeed, it results in a different game
- 42:07over screen. When any of the candies
- 42:09animatronics kill you, an article
- 42:10declaring Marilyn is missing is shown.
- 42:13However, if the rat or cat get you, then
- 42:15you're treated to a newspaper confirming
- 42:17Marilyn is dead in a murder so grizzly
- 42:19that it resembles a bear attack. But the
- 42:22duo's efforts are in vain as Marilyn
- 42:24survives the night. In the ending
- 42:25newspaper, we learned that fire started
- 42:27inside the factory and destroyed the
- 42:29building, presumably melting the
- 42:31animatronics plastic prisons and
- 42:32allowing their souls to finally rest. At
- 42:35around 7:00 a.m., firefighters showed up
- 42:37at the Inferno. And after an hour of
- 42:39trying to stop the fire, nothing but
- 42:40rubble was left. The cause of the fire
- 42:42is never fully explained. While the
- 42:45article cites faulty wiring or
- 42:46overheated equipment as the culprit,
- 42:48it's possible that Marilyn herself set
- 42:50the fire after witnessing the horrors
- 42:52within the factory. With this, the candy
- 42:54story is over, at least until FNAC 4.
- 42:57But for now, let's move back to Pop
- 42:59Goes. During our time with the Schmidts,
- 43:02Fritz Glade/Jammy Fitzgerald's daughter,
- 43:04Bonnie Glade, has grown, learning to
- 43:06speak, to walk, and to hear ghosts. But
- 43:09before we can touch on that, you may be
- 43:11wondering why she was named Bonnie in
- 43:12the first place. The answer is actually
- 43:14quite simple. Her father named her
- 43:16Bonnie as a way to love that name again
- 43:18after his encounter with Toy Bonnie.
- 43:20With that out of the way, when Bonnie's
- 43:22young, she's a big fan of Freddy Fazbear
- 43:24and his [music] friends, much like her
- 43:26father once was. She even draws her own
- 43:28cast of animal performers who run their
- 43:30very own pizzeria joint named the Pop
- 43:32Goes Pizzeria. In this imaginary
- 43:35establishment, Oliver Pop goes
- 43:36Evergreen, more commonly known as Pop
- 43:38Goes the Weasel, is the lead singer.
- 43:40Freddy Fazra gave him his black top hat
- 43:42so the weasel could take over his role.
- 43:44Pop Ghost has another suspicious tie to
- 43:46Freddy's. As indicated by Bonnie
- 43:48Sketches, his birthday is June 26th, the
- 43:51same day as some of her uncle's murders
- 43:53at Freddy's. However, the original Pop
- 43:55Ghost game was released on June 26th,
- 43:572016, so it might just be a nod to that.
- 44:00On a less disturbing note, Popos doesn't
- 44:03perform alone. Twin sisters Sarah and
- 44:05Saffron Silverleaf serve as the basis
- 44:07and guitarist. These twins do almost
- 44:09everything together, but have very
- 44:11different personalities. Sarah is more
- 44:13girly and quiet, while Saffron is a loud
- 44:15punk rock tomboy. I also love how much
- 44:18Saffron is written like an actual
- 44:20child's OC. She just likes normal
- 44:22clothes, broccoli, and rules. Let's move
- 44:24on to Blake Bettingfield, who besides
- 44:27maybe having the most British animal
- 44:29name I've ever heard, serves as the
- 44:31Imagineer Pizzeria's clever
- 44:32technological assistant. He helps gas
- 44:34and fixes any electrical issues. Blake
- 44:36is pretty much the handyman of the group
- 44:38and he's where Deion Productions team
- 44:40member Blake gets her username from. I
- 44:42also noticed that Blake dislikes
- 44:43Saffron, perhaps because she's too
- 44:45rowdy. Moving on to Stone Ashby. He
- 44:48spends most of his time as the pizzeria
- 44:49sign holder. If Pop goes or any of his
- 44:52friends can't perform, he'll step in and
- 44:54take their place until they're able to
- 44:55get back on stage. The last two of
- 44:57Bonnie's characters don't work at the
- 44:58Pop Ghost Pizzeria. Instead, they're
- 45:01close friends of the gang. First up is
- 45:03Penelopey Manora Quinn, a wood mouse who
- 45:05is a massive fan of the Pop Ghost
- 45:07Pizzeria, mostly Pop Go himself. She has
- 45:09a big crush on him. However, according
- 45:12to Wimps the Weeper from Popco Arcade,
- 45:14he doesn't fancy her. Regardless, she
- 45:16frequents the pizzeria just to see the
- 45:18weasel, even though she dislikes pizza.
- 45:20She also doesn't like robots, which
- 45:22comes into play later on. Penelopey
- 45:24actually gave herself the name Monora as
- 45:26a pun, just like her idols. Her name is
- 45:28based on the phrase, "Are you a man or a
- 45:30mouse?" Pop goes the weasel's pun name
- 45:32is self-explanatory, and Stone's name is
- 45:34based on the old phrase Stone the Crows.
- 45:37Speaking of him, the last character is
- 45:39Holly Hartwell, a European Robin who has
- 45:41an unclear relationship with Stone. She
- 45:44doesn't get too involved with the group.
- 45:45Instead, she works at her older sister's
- 45:47egg farm, which I think might be an
- 45:49adoption center. The pop goes gang all
- 45:51love her company, but she insists on not
- 45:53sticking around for too long as to not
- 45:54take up too much of their time. With
- 45:56this, Bonnie's very own animal gang is
- 45:58born. When giving her mom updates on the
- 46:00cast, she's very supportive of her work
- 46:02and her fascination with Freddy's. She
- 46:05even buys her a possibly off-brand Chica
- 46:07plushy. However, Fritz takes some time
- 46:09to get used to this. At first, he's
- 46:11worried about her interest in Freddy
- 46:12Fazer's pizza because of his troubled
- 46:14past there. It's also implied that he
- 46:16believes the restaurant or even Freddy
- 46:18Fazer himself is unlucky. Later, he
- 46:20feels more comfortable and ask about
- 46:22Bonnie's characters, seeming genuinely
- 46:24enthralled by them. Her mom later tells
- 46:26her how before her father was injured at
- 46:28Freddy's, he was a major fan of the
- 46:30establishment and that Popos and the
- 46:32gang really resonated with him. Two
- 46:34weeks later, in a failed attempt to bond
- 46:36with Bonnie, Hurts makes his very own
- 46:37pop ghost character named Morse the
- 46:39mole. Unfortunately, Bonnie doesn't like
- 46:41him at all. She thinks his big wide
- 46:43smile is creepy, and he's not the most
- 46:46original. He has a scarf-like stone, and
- 46:48similar to Monora, he has a backpack and
- 46:50orange coloring. Each of the Popco's
- 46:53characters has a special color, so
- 46:54Morris being orange messes things up.
- 46:56His backpack full of gadgets also makes
- 46:58him ill-fitting in the Popco's world.
- 47:00The sci-fi aspect of Morse seems to come
- 47:02from Fritz's obsession with technology,
- 47:05making him a sort of self-insert, which
- 47:06gives his later usage more weight.
- 47:08Bonnie tells her dad that she hates
- 47:10Morse, but feels bad about her later
- 47:12since he doesn't do many creative
- 47:13things. She even considers letting Morse
- 47:16join her cast of characters. But on the
- 47:18other hand, she doesn't like how her dad
- 47:19tried to add his own stuff to her work.
- 47:21Sometime later, Bonnie and her mom take
- 47:23a trip to a graveyard to visit her
- 47:25grandmother, Rose. It starts to get
- 47:27really windy, but strangely only on
- 47:29Bonnie's face. When approaching her
- 47:31grandmother's grave, the wind gets
- 47:33quieter and quieter. Eventually, the
- 47:35sound of the breeze turns into a voice,
- 47:37seemingly the voice of her deceased
- 47:39grandma. Naturally, this freaks Bonnie
- 47:41out, but the voice tells her nice things
- 47:43and to keep this ability a secret, at
- 47:45least for now. Speaking of secrets,
- 47:48since Bonnie's grandma is a ghost, that
- 47:50indicates that she was killed by another
- 47:51person, which the creator of Popco
- 47:53himself, Kane Carter, has confirmed, we
- 47:56don't know what happened, and I doubt
- 47:58this will ever be elaborated upon, but
- 47:59it's interesting nonetheless. Anyways,
- 48:02on the way home, Bonnie's mother notices
- 48:04something wrong, but sticking to her
- 48:06grandmother's advice, she doesn't tell
- 48:07her anything. When lying in bed, Bonnie
- 48:09thinks about what happened, trying to
- 48:11figure out if there's something wrong
- 48:12with her or if she can actually hear the
- 48:14dead. Part of her is excited if that
- 48:16turns out to be the case, which
- 48:17unsurprisingly it is. Bonnie ponders
- 48:20whether or not she can hear other ghosts
- 48:22in the graveyard and maybe do something
- 48:23about it. She even thinks about asking
- 48:25her parents to go back to the graveyard,
- 48:27but then they would definitely know that
- 48:28something is up. On Bonnie's 10th
- 48:30birthday, her dad, busy with work, gives
- 48:33her a nicely wrapped gift, hoping she
- 48:35can forgive him for his absence once she
- 48:37sees what's inside. Upon opening the
- 48:39present, she's greeted with a 3D printed
- 48:41Freddy Fazbear's pizza and a note with
- 48:43instructions. Fritz tells Bonnie that
- 48:45her characters reminded him of the love
- 48:47he once had for Freddy's. Though with
- 48:49him no longer existing, she can't
- 48:51experience the fantasy and fun for
- 48:52herself, which is probably a good thing.
- 48:55But Pop Goes can visit this tiny
- 48:57Freddy's anytime she'd like. He calls it
- 49:00My Pop Goes. In this pizzeria, Bonnie
- 49:02needs to make sure her pop goes is well
- 49:04taken care of throughout five levels of
- 49:06resource management. In each one, she
- 49:08has to make sure he's wellfed, hydrated,
- 49:10and not literally bored to death. If she
- 49:12gets tired of these, there's an endless
- 49:14mode and a plethora of mini games that
- 49:16she can enjoy, too. These include
- 49:18fishing, snake, pest control, and food
- 49:21juggling along with whacka rabbit, which
- 49:23I think Fritz took some liberties on,
- 49:25including Morse the mole with an army of
- 49:27robot weasels. In addition, the game
- 49:29also comes with colored cartridges that
- 49:31can change her pop goes into someone
- 49:33else from the band. Ending the section
- 49:35off on a dark note, Bonnie's mom passes
- 49:37away sometime following her birthday.
- 49:39It's never made clear what happened, but
- 49:42Bonnie's birthday card does mention
- 49:43taking care of her mom, so it's likely
- 49:45that she was sick. All we know for sure
- 49:47is that she passes after Bonnie's 10th
- 49:49birthday. Chances are it's years after,
- 49:52but still not good. On an even darker
- 49:55note, Simon returns in Five Nights at
- 49:57Freddy's 3. In the year 2023, 30 years
- 50:00after Freddy Fazer's Pizza closed
- 50:01[music] its doors, the horrific events
- 50:03there are nothing more than rumor and
- 50:05memory. But a local amusement park
- 50:07decides to cash in on those stories.
- 50:09They settle on creating a haunted house
- 50:11called Fazbear's Fright. This attraction
- 50:14features all sorts of props and relics
- 50:15from Fazbear's disturbing history,
- 50:18including the remains of the
- 50:19animatronics, although thankfully none
- 50:21of them are functioning. The main
- 50:23gameplay starts a week before the
- 50:24attraction opens with yet another
- 50:26security guard. However, unlike the
- 50:29previous games, Night One goes smoothly.
- 50:31No haunted robots, no worries, nothing.
- 50:34But as we know, it doesn't stay like
- 50:35that forever. While the Fright's
- 50:37employees search abandoned Freddy's
- 50:39locations for props, someone who helped
- 50:41design the FNAF 1 Pizzeria tells them
- 50:43about the boarded up safe room. They
- 50:45break it open and find the rotting
- 50:47Spring Bonnie Sue, which is very
- 50:48obviously inhabited by a human corpse.
- 50:50But despite all the red flags that
- 50:52should be going off in their heads, they
- 50:54decide to take this whole crime scene to
- 50:56the haunted house. Anyway, from night
- 50:58two onward, Simon, now known as
- 51:00Springtrap, hunts down the Fazers fright
- 51:02guard, who is also bombarded by phantoms
- 51:05of the previous animatronics. Although
- 51:07they might just be hallucinations caused
- 51:09by the faulty, sometimes corpse-filled
- 51:10ventilation, the guard is armed with
- 51:12only an old-fashioned security system, a
- 51:15button to play the audio of children
- 51:16laughing in each room, and a slow tablet
- 51:18that can reset the ventilation, audio
- 51:20alerts, and [music] camera visibility.
- 51:22No night guard has ever been so
- 51:24unprepared. Luckily for them,
- 51:26Springtrap's animatronic mode is set to
- 51:28follow sound cues, allowing the guard to
- 51:30lure him around with the sound of
- 51:32children. But there's more going on than
- 51:34simple survival. The player can access
- 51:36mini games where they have to find the
- 51:38souls of Simon's victims and help set
- 51:40them free. After tracking down the ghost
- 51:42throughout the miniames, all of the
- 51:44spirits are finally given their happiest
- 51:45day. And the fifth night ends with all
- 51:47the souls at rest. However, the
- 51:50following night concludes with Fazbar's
- 51:51fright burning to the ground, similar to
- 51:53the ending of Five Nights at Candies 2.
- 51:56While authorities haven't ruled out foul
- 51:57play, it seems like faulty wiring is
- 51:59what caused the fire. Alternatively,
- 52:02similar to Marilyn, the guard might have
- 52:04set the attraction ablaze to kill off
- 52:06Springtrap. Regardless, it seems like
- 52:08Simon does perish here. I don't believe
- 52:10it's been confirmed yet, but in the pop
- 52:12ghost 2016 lore, Simon dying at
- 52:14Fazbear's Fright was a pretty
- 52:16significant part of the story, so I
- 52:18assume that remains unchanged. After the
- 52:20fire, any surviving props are auctioned
- 52:22off, which includes Freddy Fazbear's
- 52:23iconic top hat and the always sloppy box
- 52:25of parts. It appears in Evergreen
- 52:27Squirrel Sister's jump scare video. You
- 52:29can't even see Toy Bonn's guitar
- 52:31sticking out of it. These two items, and
- 52:33possibly even more, are one by Fritz,
- 52:35who will later use Freddy's hat for his
- 52:36own animatronic band. Around the same
- 52:39time, Marilyn Schmidt returns as
- 52:40Bonnie's internet friend. Now, as an
- 52:42adult, Bonnie is a very different style.
- 52:45Instead of her colorful childhood
- 52:46clothing, she wears a much darker
- 52:48palette and more importantly, an amazing
- 52:50Data shirt. That taste was a brand of
- 52:53soda that appeared throughout the candy
- 52:54series. And it seems that Bonnie's a fan
- 52:56of it. On the topic of candies, during a
- 52:59long chat with Marilyn, she tells Bonnie
- 53:01about conversations that she has with
- 53:02her mom, which act as a kind of therapy
- 53:04for them after the events of the Candies
- 53:06trilogy. Realizing how wildly similar
- 53:08Mary's experiences are to her own dad's,
- 53:11Bonnie begins to feel envious. Anytime
- 53:13she tries to talk to her dad about his
- 53:14trauma, he closes up and pushes her
- 53:17away, leaving her feeling responsible to
- 53:19help him get over it. This gives her a
- 53:21great idea. Using their parents'
- 53:23stories, Bonnie's gift, some research
- 53:25and science, the women come up with the
- 53:28Violet Project, a big documentation of
- 53:30their data that can help the world
- 53:32finally understand the supernatural, and
- 53:34aid Fritz in understanding and getting
- 53:35over his trauma. Sometime later, in
- 53:38April of 2023, Fritz asked the now
- 53:4025-year-old Bonnie if she can go up to
- 53:42the attic and grab his toolbox from the
- 53:43chest. Inside, Bonnie finds her old off
- 53:46brandand Chica plush, the toolbox she's
- 53:48been looking for, a toy Bonnie masks
- 53:50that she made using one of her dad's 3D
- 53:52printers, [music] and a cardboard box
- 53:53containing her old My Pop Goes toy.
- 53:56Bonnie reminisces about playing My Pop
- 53:58Goes, which leads into the main gameplay
- 54:00and story that we previously discussed.
- 54:02Once the player completes the main
- 54:03campaign, they return to [music] the
- 54:05present, where Bonnie is lost in
- 54:06thought. Brits, a little confused, asked
- 54:09if she's found the toolbox yet, snapping
- 54:11her back to reality. She grabs his
- 54:13toolbox and heads back downstairs. This
- 54:16may seem [music] like a totally random
- 54:17event in the timeline, but it's
- 54:19theorized that Bonnie might be grabbing
- 54:20the toolbox since Fritz has started
- 54:22working on life-sized animatronic
- 54:24versions of Pop Goes in the band for
- 54:25their very own Pop Ghost Pizzeria. One
- 54:28year later, in 2024, [music]
- 54:30the research for the Violet Project has
- 54:32progressed, giving Bonnie and Marilyn a
- 54:34theory that possessions only occur
- 54:35[music] when the actions of another soul
- 54:37kill someone. This research will soon be
- 54:39put to the test. But in lighter news,
- 54:41the Pop goes pizzeria is complete and
- 54:43it's almost one to one with Bonnie's
- 54:45original vision thanks to Fritz's
- 54:46animatronics. Pop goes, Sarah, and
- 54:49Saffron take the stage as Stone stands
- 54:52outside directing customers. Blake sits
- 54:54in the server room only coming out to
- 54:56check on guests. He seems to be tied to
- 54:58the Weaselware [music] operating system,
- 55:00which in Pop Go 2016 controlled all the
- 55:03animatronics and machines in the
- 55:04pizzeria. Pop Goes Arcade establishes
- 55:07that system and implies that everything
- 55:08in the restaurant is tied [music] to it,
- 55:10so it looks like all that old lore still
- 55:12holds up. The establishment also
- 55:13features 3D printers in almost every
- 55:15room, allowing customers to print toys
- 55:17of their favorite Pop Goes or Freddy's
- 55:19characters. But it doesn't end there.
- 55:21The pizzeria includes an art room where
- 55:23guests can paint their newly printed
- 55:25figures so they look perfect when
- 55:26they're taken home. Speaking of the
- 55:28Freddy's animatronics, much like in
- 55:30Bonnie Glad's imaginary Popco's gang,
- 55:32the real Pop Goes wears Freddy's top hat
- 55:34with a green ribbon [music] tied around
- 55:35it. As we mentioned earlier, Fritz also
- 55:38got the box of parts from Fazbear's
- 55:39Fright. It's stored in the photo room,
- 55:41likely so its contents can be used as
- 55:43props for photo ops. Though this
- 55:45pizzeria looks and sounds amazing, per
- 55:47FNAF fashion, something always goes
- 55:49wrong. One late night, Bonnie decides to
- 55:52take her old Toy Bonnie mask from the
- 55:54attic and break into the pizzeria. As of
- 55:56writing this video, it's not very clear
- 55:58what she's doing there, but we'll touch
- 55:59on our theories later. Now, inside the
- 56:02server room, Bonnie opens a server
- 56:04cabinet and takes off a floor panel.
- 56:06However, she's spotted by her father.
- 56:08Seeing the toy Bonnie mask triggers his
- 56:10trauma, and he's now fully convinced the
- 56:12actual toy Bonnie is messing around in
- 56:14his server room. Before I continue, most
- 56:16of the attack I'm about to describe is
- 56:18purely based on what we noticed in the
- 56:19image of the aftermath. So, take all of
- 56:21this as speculation. He grabs an
- 56:24emergency fire axe and swings at Bonnie,
- 56:26hitting her upper body and making her
- 56:28drop the floor panel. She turns around,
- 56:30trying to head to the back of the room
- 56:32to gain some distance from Fritz and
- 56:33take off her mask, but he's too quick.
- 56:36He hits her in the shoulder and she
- 56:37falls to the floor. Her mask slides away
- 56:39from her newly deceased corpse as she
- 56:41lands. [music] Fritz, now realizing what
- 56:43he's done, ditches the ax and flees,
- 56:45thinking of what to do next. [music]
- 56:47Meanwhile, since Bonnie was
- 56:49intentionally murdered by another human,
- 56:50she becomes a ghost. Her soul possesses
- 56:53the weasel bear servers as indicated by
- 56:54the blue lights turning red. Back to
- 56:57Fritz, he naturally chooses the rational
- 56:59option of taking his daughter's [music]
- 57:00body home and hiding it in the attic
- 57:02chest. Something that was seen in the My
- 57:04Pop Goes ending. According to Kane
- 57:06Carter, Fritz separated some of Bonnie's
- 57:08limbs to fit her into this chest, hence
- 57:10her unnatural position. This is a slight
- 57:12change from Pop Go 2016 where Fritz's
- 57:15attack on Bonnie left her cut into six
- 57:17pieces. Regardless, Fritz locks her
- 57:19remains inside the chest. Finally, he
- 57:21dumps in a body of water, presumably an
- 57:23ocean, never to be seen again. Fritz
- 57:26also tosses the ax down a well to
- 57:28dispose of the murder weapon. The next
- 57:30day, the events of Pop Go Arcade occur.
- 57:33Here, we're put in the shoes of a
- 57:34regular patron at the Pop Ghost
- 57:36Pizzeria, a young girl who decides to
- 57:38play an arcade called Pop Goes the Dead
- 57:40Forest. It's never clearly stated that
- 57:42we play as a girl in this game, but you
- 57:44can faintly see her shadow during the
- 57:45main gameplay, and King Carter confirmed
- 57:47the player's gender [music] on Discord.
- 57:49Anyways, this is no ordinary arcade.
- 57:52Bonnie's Ghost in the Weaselware system
- 57:54ends up being sucked into the titular
- 57:55Pop Goes Arcade. This game within a game
- 57:58has a very detailed world and story that
- 58:00I believe is worth discussing as it not
- 58:02only offers strong world building, but
- 58:04also draws parallels to events in the
- 58:06series. The first campaign in this game
- 58:08is the Dead Forest, named after the
- 58:10scrapped Pop Ghost 2016 sequel. This
- 58:12world closely resembles Bonnie's
- 58:14original diary of the Pop Ghost
- 58:15characters with all the animals living
- 58:17in a forest. However, this land is ruled
- 58:19over by Freddy's father, a bear overlord
- 58:22who is researching the supernatural.
- 58:24According to King Carter, this king is
- 58:26eventually murdered by either a living
- 58:27or haunted thing, but the identity of
- 58:29the culprit isn't important. His son,
- 58:31Freddy, becomes king after his passing,
- 58:33but a week later, he can't bring himself
- 58:35to pick up the ghostly research. The
- 58:37next night, the spirit of Freddy's
- 58:38father haunts a painting in the castle
- 58:40and directs his son to a book, which
- 58:42explains the rules of hauntings in the
- 58:44CPU. If another creature kills you, you
- 58:46get a second chance at life as a ghost.
- 58:48The following night, Freddy feels a bit
- 58:50useless. No one talks to him, and he has
- 58:52nothing to say, but he wants to make
- 58:54something groundbreaking to make his
- 58:56father proud. On the fourth night, he
- 58:58confirms that his father's spirit is
- 58:59still in the castle with him. And he
- 59:01notes that he did mention something
- 59:03about how the presence of the paranormal
- 59:04might have a permanent effect on the
- 59:06mental state of nearby entities, as in
- 59:08being near ghosts might make you go a
- 59:10bit cuckoo. He used the word corrupt a
- 59:12lot when referring to that kind of
- 59:14behavior. This might explain why Mary,
- 59:16Fritz, and Mike all saw hallucinations
- 59:18throughout the games. Them being near
- 59:20Ghost might have made them go a bit
- 59:21crazy and start seeing things. Anyways,
- 59:24Freddy's final diary ends with, "I've
- 59:26come up with an idea." We later learn
- 59:28that King Freddy decides that life would
- 59:30be better for everyone if they were all
- 59:31dead creatures. Didn't mean they
- 59:33wouldn't need to eat, drink, sleep,
- 59:35breathe, or die. They could live forever
- 59:38if they were dead. He partners with a
- 59:40familiar neglected character, Morse the
- 59:42mole, also known as the machinist. In
- 59:45the arcade lore, he aspired to become
- 59:46part of the Pop Ghost crew, but his
- 59:48weird, cruel ideas made him an outcast,
- 59:51calling back to how when Fritz created
- 59:53him, Bonnie rejected the mole. This
- 59:55could also serve as a nod to Bonnie and
- 59:57Fritz's strain relationship. But back to
- 59:59the world of Popo's arcade, in exchange
- 1:00:01for King Freddy laying morse to whatever
- 1:00:03he wants with the underground, the mole
- 1:00:04builds him lasers that would drain the
- 1:00:06life of everything and everyone. The
- 1:00:08North forest ultimately succumbs to
- 1:00:09these lasers, making most of the living
- 1:00:11things there dead, giving it the name
- 1:00:13the dead forest. These lasers are
- 1:00:15installed in the other forest, making
- 1:00:16all the animals corrupt and hostile.
- 1:00:19This is where the game properly begins
- 1:00:21with the player taking control of Popos
- 1:00:22the weasel as he goes on a quest to save
- 1:00:24the land. Guarding Freddy's evil lasers
- 1:00:27are corrupted versions of Chica, Foxy,
- 1:00:29and Bonnie. But luckily, Popos manages
- 1:00:32to defeat them and the corrupted
- 1:00:33creatures in the forests. Not only that,
- 1:00:35but he finds keys, allowing him to enter
- 1:00:37the locked up dead forest. When
- 1:00:39exploring, the girl playing the game
- 1:00:40gets a glimpse of Bonnie's ghost
- 1:00:42floating down a river, which will be
- 1:00:43important later on. Pop goes makes his
- 1:00:46way to the castle, where he encounters a
- 1:00:47corrupted version of BB, which actually
- 1:00:49stands for buffoon boy rather than
- 1:00:51Balloon Boy. Judging from the hat, it
- 1:00:53seems like he's the castle jester. Pop
- 1:00:56goes best in battle, and he scurries off
- 1:00:58with one HP left. Wow.
- 1:01:02Oh, shoot. I'm recording.
- 1:01:04Um, unfortunately the castle door is
- 1:01:06locked, meaning Popco needs even more
- 1:01:08keys. Oh, and even worse, beating up a
- 1:01:11phone boy activate the kill switch,
- 1:01:13which brings all the previous enemies
- 1:01:14back to life even stronger. Luckily, BB
- 1:01:17is here to help. During the battle, Pop
- 1:01:19goes and knocks some sense into him. A
- 1:01:21unique reaction which likely occurred
- 1:01:23since BB is a human unlike everyone
- 1:01:25else. After this, he snuck into the
- 1:01:27castle and stole some special abilities
- 1:01:29that Freddy had previously offered him.
- 1:01:30>> [music]
- 1:01:31>> And when the player completes his hit
- 1:01:32list, BB hands them over. Pop goes once
- 1:01:35again defeats Freddy's goons and
- 1:01:36deactivates the life- draining lasers,
- 1:01:38which stops the dead animals from
- 1:01:40spawning. He also takes the abilities
- 1:01:42and possibly the souls of the bosses,
- 1:01:44which he uses to get into new areas of
- 1:01:46the forest and find castle keys. The
- 1:01:48player can also upgrade these abilities
- 1:01:50with emerald coins. With all the keys,
- 1:01:52abilities, and possibly BB's bonuses
- 1:01:55collected, Popos enters the castle and
- 1:01:57faces dead King Freddy. The skeleton
- 1:01:59bear tells him that he's really thrown a
- 1:02:01wrench into his plans. It's later
- 1:02:03revealed that Freddy has no clue what a
- 1:02:04wrench is and was just mimicking
- 1:02:06something more said. Anyways, the king
- 1:02:08tells Popco how amazing being dead is
- 1:02:10and kindly offers to show him. The
- 1:02:12ensuing battle's tough, but as always,
- 1:02:15Pop goes prevails. As Freddy perishes,
- 1:02:17he tells him, "You have won. On your
- 1:02:20last day on Earth, you'll regret you
- 1:02:21did. Yes, you will. When you succumb to
- 1:02:25a natural end and your body rots into
- 1:02:27the soil, you would have wished you had
- 1:02:30the second chance I was going to give
- 1:02:32you. With the evil ruler defeated,
- 1:02:35everyone thanks Pop goes and discusses
- 1:02:36fixing the north forest. Despite the
- 1:02:39campaign being completed, there's still
- 1:02:40more going on here. In the castle,
- 1:02:43there's a glitching wall which the
- 1:02:44player can phase through to follow
- 1:02:45Bonnie's ghost. Remember earlier, the
- 1:02:47girl playing the arcade saw her spirit
- 1:02:49heading down the river. Once she walks
- 1:02:51through the wall, she finds herself in
- 1:02:52what appears to be an ocean with an
- 1:02:54ominous chest. If this seems familiar,
- 1:02:56it's because this is exactly what
- 1:02:58happened to Bonnie's body. It was sealed
- 1:03:00in a chest and tossed into a body of
- 1:03:02water, likely the ocean. Instead of
- 1:03:04finding a corpse in the chest, the
- 1:03:05player obtains a mysterious key, which
- 1:03:07can be used at the fountain to make the
- 1:03:09world go dark and give Pop Go a new
- 1:03:11task. Instead of this being an objective
- 1:03:13like every other quest in the game, this
- 1:03:15one is listed as a directive, which is
- 1:03:17an official authoritative instruction.
- 1:03:19More on that later. The directive
- 1:03:21presented to the player is simply
- 1:03:23collect. The probably terrified girl
- 1:03:25playing this game has to explore this
- 1:03:26dark ghostly world devoid of NPCs.
- 1:03:29Eventually, she finds strange parts, and
- 1:03:31after collecting six of them, they'll
- 1:03:33form something that resembles a
- 1:03:34dismembered rabbit. The directive then
- 1:03:36changes to simply find me. This may seem
- 1:03:39vague at first, but in the south forest,
- 1:03:41there's a blood-filled well as a nod to
- 1:03:42Fritz's evidence disposal. You could
- 1:03:44even find an axe floating in there
- 1:03:46earlier. Since that well is tied to
- 1:03:48Bonnie's haunting, interacting within
- 1:03:50the ghost world transports the player to
- 1:03:51the Five Nights at Freddy's 3 miniames.
- 1:03:54These are now all devoid of spirits as
- 1:03:56the ghost of Simon's victims were set
- 1:03:57free back in that game. However, one
- 1:04:00ghost resides at the final table in the
- 1:04:01Happiest Day miname. This is, of course,
- 1:04:04Bonnie Glade, who appears as the
- 1:04:06corrupted Bonnie boss from earlier. If
- 1:04:08the player attacks her at any point, a
- 1:04:10new form of Bonnie Glade known as the
- 1:04:11black rabbit will emerge and smash
- 1:04:13through the arcade. This is what the
- 1:04:15player assembled earlier with the six
- 1:04:16black pieces and she strongly resembles
- 1:04:18Shadow Bonnie. According to Kane Carter,
- 1:04:21you can safely assume that in the CPU,
- 1:04:23Shadow Bonnie serves as some sort of
- 1:04:25cosmic foreshadowing for the black
- 1:04:26rabbit, but he probably has no real
- 1:04:28canonical purpose. Anyways, this jump
- 1:04:30scare seems to just be a hallucination,
- 1:04:32and it can be avoided if the player
- 1:04:34doesn't attack Bonnie. Being a pacifist
- 1:04:36causes the arcade to glitch further, and
- 1:04:38the Bonnie sprite turns black and gray,
- 1:04:40resembling the black rabbit. She'll
- 1:04:42sometimes glitch into other forms.
- 1:04:44Noteworthy [music] appearances include
- 1:04:45her wielding an axe, and one even seems
- 1:04:47to depict her uncle Simon being
- 1:04:48springlocked. Speaking of which, two
- 1:04:50others appear to reference Bonnie and
- 1:04:51Shadow Bonnie's miniame appearances from
- 1:04:53FNAF 3. There's also a sprite based on
- 1:04:56chef Wanted, which was a fan game that
- 1:04:57Kane Carter, Emil Macko, and Cenne
- 1:04:59Muburn were working on before cancing it
- 1:05:01to focus on candies and pop goes. Back
- 1:05:04to the present, Bonnie Glade urges the
- 1:05:06player not to attack her, saying she's
- 1:05:08not controlling this and is trying to
- 1:05:10calm down. She explains how she can feel
- 1:05:12everything in the game, but she knows
- 1:05:14it's fake, that she's trapped in a
- 1:05:16machine and unintentionally controlling
- 1:05:18it, explaining all the paranormal
- 1:05:19activity. Bonnie realizes now that all
- 1:05:22of her research was true. She died from
- 1:05:24the actions of another person and now
- 1:05:26exists as a flash of who she was, a
- 1:05:28ghost. Instead of feeling scared, she's
- 1:05:30almost excited. Bonnie explains who she
- 1:05:32is and says that she might even
- 1:05:34recognize the child playing the game.
- 1:05:36But regardless, she needs to move on and
- 1:05:38find something else. She thanks the girl
- 1:05:40for her company and apologizes if she
- 1:05:41scared her before it sold parts from the
- 1:05:43arcade. Removing all the ghostly
- 1:05:45elements from the machine. With dead
- 1:05:47King Freddy defeated and Bonnie spirit
- 1:05:49now freed, the player can progress to
- 1:05:51the second campaign. Pop goes and the
- 1:05:53machinist. As the name suggests, this
- 1:05:55one focuses on Morse the mole who
- 1:05:57controls underground as part of his deal
- 1:05:59with Freddy. His end goal is to replace
- 1:06:01everyone with robots. And to kick off
- 1:06:03this evil scheme, he abducts Manora,
- 1:06:05which isn't entirely random. As Bonnie
- 1:06:07complained about her diary, he has the
- 1:06:09same special color as her, that being
- 1:06:11orange. To save Manura, Popos has to
- 1:06:13find three key cards to access Morse's
- 1:06:15layer. This means defeating all sorts of
- 1:06:17robotic foes, including new versions of
- 1:06:19Chica, Boxy, and finally Bonnie, who
- 1:06:22resembles withered Bonnie. Throughout
- 1:06:24this adventure, Morris watches Popos
- 1:06:26with hidden cameras [music] around the
- 1:06:27map. Learning more about his movements
- 1:06:29and attack patterns to improve his
- 1:06:30robots. Once Pop goes defeats his
- 1:06:32mechanical adversaries and collects all
- 1:06:34three key cards, he's able to enter
- 1:06:36Morse's layer where he's keeping Monora.
- 1:06:38The Weasel and Mole battle with the
- 1:06:40orange character having Billy's own
- 1:06:41abilities to mimic Pop goes. During the
- 1:06:43fight, he creates lasers to drain the
- 1:06:45weasel's life and even makes him fight a
- 1:06:47prototype Manura midway through the
- 1:06:48battle. However, Pop Ghost still
- 1:06:50prevails, which apparently Morse already
- 1:06:52expected. He just wanted to witness
- 1:06:54things firsthand. In the final moments
- 1:06:56of his life, he talks about how he made
- 1:06:58his powers himself, unlike how Pop Ghost
- 1:07:00stole them from others. Morse asks if he
- 1:07:02was impressed and wonders if he could
- 1:07:04have been one of the gang before
- 1:07:05perishing. Since Morris seems to
- 1:07:07represent Fritz and Pop Goes as Bonnie's
- 1:07:09original character, this scene could be
- 1:07:11read as a parallel to their troubled
- 1:07:13relationship. Both Fritz and Morris also
- 1:07:15make robots of the Pop Goes gang,
- 1:07:17further strengthening their connection.
- 1:07:20Even more interesting is that in this
- 1:07:21campaign, Holly and Manura never get
- 1:07:23finished robots just like in the Pop
- 1:07:25Goes Pizzeria. But back to the story in
- 1:07:27the arcade world, the second campaign
- 1:07:29ends with Pop Goes rescuing a Smitt and
- 1:07:30Manora. I also want to point out that
- 1:07:32Manura's sketch from My Pop Ghost cites
- 1:07:34her as disliking robots and this
- 1:07:36campaign adds some extra significance to
- 1:07:38that. Despite Morse being defeated,
- 1:07:40there's still more story in this game.
- 1:07:42Sadly, none of which involves the mole
- 1:07:44spirit coming back for revenge. [music]
- 1:07:46Although, according to King Carter, it's
- 1:07:47safe to assume a spirit lingers in the
- 1:07:49caves. However, to access this new
- 1:07:51content, the arcade sets the girl
- 1:07:52playing it back to before the machinist
- 1:07:54demise. She now discovers robot BB's
- 1:07:56that Morse locked up in the underground
- 1:07:58areas. And these little guys can be used
- 1:08:00to smelt scrap into coins. All these
- 1:08:02BB's have different personalities, and
- 1:08:04Robot BB is especially a riot. I love it
- 1:08:07when he says the machinist was
- 1:08:08committing tax fraud or something. That
- 1:08:10being said, once the player smells
- 1:08:12enough scrap, the bots run out battery.
- 1:08:14Their deaths are all pretty sad, but the
- 1:08:16player does get new mallets to decorate
- 1:08:17the in walls with. These balloon boys
- 1:08:20aren't the only notable robots
- 1:08:21underground. The player travels back to
- 1:08:23the caves where she defeated Robot Foxy,
- 1:08:25and the lights down there are
- 1:08:26mysteriously flickering. This is
- 1:08:28revealed to be caused by the mangle, an
- 1:08:30amalgamation of all sorts of creatures
- 1:08:32haunted by the spirit of King Freddy.
- 1:08:34The ensuing battle is difficult, but Pop
- 1:08:36Ghost prevails and once again defeats
- 1:08:38Freddy. He reflects on his previous
- 1:08:40forms. First flesh, then bones, now
- 1:08:43machine. With fear, he wonders what's
- 1:08:45next. As he once again dies, defeating
- 1:08:48the Mangle makes the lights underground
- 1:08:49stop flickering and grants the player
- 1:08:51Freddy's scythe. Rewards aside, Freddy
- 1:08:53is definitely meant to be representation
- 1:08:55of Simon Fitzgerald. Both of them strive
- 1:08:57to control death after experiencing
- 1:08:59loss. Freddy's scheme to make everyone
- 1:09:01immortal using his life draining lasers
- 1:09:03sounds very similar to how Simon wanted
- 1:09:04to give death rules. Furthermore, in
- 1:09:06death as an animal, the example of Simon
- 1:09:08taming death is Freddy, connecting him
- 1:09:10to dead King Freddy and possibly hinting
- 1:09:12that he might want to use the power of
- 1:09:13the supernatural to supersede death.
- 1:09:15King Freddy also comes back as a robot,
- 1:09:17similar to Pop Ghost 2016, where Fritz
- 1:09:19made a robot replica of his brother. All
- 1:09:21the enemy types in arcade can also be
- 1:09:23seen as a representation of Simon's
- 1:09:25life. The corrupted enemies are hostile
- 1:09:27but still alive, similar to Simon's life
- 1:09:29as a human. Then the undead enemies
- 1:09:31symbolize his second life as Springtrap.
- 1:09:33Dead Bonnie is even missing an ear just
- 1:09:35like him. Finally, the robot character
- 1:09:38seem to be a nod to the Simon robot, a
- 1:09:40character who will be a major part of
- 1:09:42Popco's Evergreen. In 2016, Simon was an
- 1:09:45AI created by Fritz in the image of his
- 1:09:47dead brother. His role in the CPU is a
- 1:09:49bit more vague, but we'll theorize about
- 1:09:51him later. There's a whole other can of
- 1:09:53worms in the north forest. The animals
- 1:09:55are currently working on restoring this
- 1:09:57area, but it's sealed off for the time
- 1:09:59being. In reality, this is because Fritz
- 1:10:01decided to cut it from the game using
- 1:10:03the gate from the first campaign to do
- 1:10:05so. However, that automatically spawns
- 1:10:07keys to open it, so he blocked those off
- 1:10:09with the woodpecker NPC, but he forgot
- 1:10:11to wipe its code, which has a strange
- 1:10:13connection to the paint bots in the
- 1:10:15forest. And of course, he left a whole
- 1:10:17developer note about this attached to
- 1:10:19the well in the south forest. The player
- 1:10:21follows this hen and defeats the paint
- 1:10:22bots, then puts on those colors, causing
- 1:10:25the woodpecker NPCs to glitch. She uses
- 1:10:27this method to collect all three keys
- 1:10:29and returns to the dead forest, where
- 1:10:31she dives into the depths of the game,
- 1:10:33revealing a scrapped robot Freddy mini
- 1:10:34boss. Whims the Weeper actually
- 1:10:36theorizes that a robot Freddy might be
- 1:10:38the machinist, but says that would be
- 1:10:40boring. Anyways, the girl controlling
- 1:10:42Pop Ghost descends even further,
- 1:10:44eventually ending up in the Weaselware
- 1:10:46network. Here she accesses the security
- 1:10:48footage from Cam 7, revealing the
- 1:10:49previously analyzed footage of Bonnie's
- 1:10:51death. I doubt that the girl playing the
- 1:10:53arcade witnessing this will have any
- 1:10:54real relevance to the story. Although
- 1:10:56Kane does note that she might have
- 1:10:57thought Bonnie's ghost was part of the
- 1:10:59game up until this point. Regardless, I
- 1:11:01thought it was still worth mentioning
- 1:11:02because it canonically happens. With the
- 1:11:05two main campaigns and their villains
- 1:11:06out of the way, let's focus on another
- 1:11:08character who appears throughout Popco's
- 1:11:10arcade. That being the puppet. This
- 1:11:12mysterious character contacts Pop Goes
- 1:11:14after he defeats Chica for the first
- 1:11:16time. They meet up in the inn, but he
- 1:11:18doesn't give the weasel a name, so he
- 1:11:20just calls him the puppet. He tells
- 1:11:21Pophos that he's confined to this room,
- 1:11:23but he's been watching him through the
- 1:11:24window, which isn't actually on the
- 1:11:26outside of the inn. According to Wimps
- 1:11:27the [music] Weeper, the puppet has
- 1:11:29noticed that while everyone seems to
- 1:11:30follow scripted instructions, Pop Ghost
- 1:11:32is very chaotic, almost like he's being
- 1:11:34controlled by some unseen force, which
- 1:11:36is of course the player. The puppet
- 1:11:38offers to make pop ghost battles more
- 1:11:40chaotic with random gifts which can have
- 1:11:42positive, neutral, or negative effects.
- 1:11:45Once the player has encountered every
- 1:11:46gift, the puppet offers one final
- 1:11:48challenge, a fight with him. In a not
- 1:11:51very surprising twist, the puppet has
- 1:11:53really just been turning Popos into a
- 1:11:54weapon. Since he can see the future, he
- 1:11:57needs someone unpredictable to finally
- 1:11:58defeat him and free him from his box,
- 1:12:00from this room, from the world. During
- 1:12:03the fight, the puppet gets desperate for
- 1:12:04Pop Ghost to kill him. But he realizes
- 1:12:07that nothing is special about the weasel
- 1:12:08at all. He's simply a character being
- 1:12:10puppeted by the player. Eventually, the
- 1:12:12girl controlling Pop Ghost prevails,
- 1:12:14cutting the puppet strings and freeing
- 1:12:16him from the box. After defeating the
- 1:12:18puppet, he leaves the player's ribbon,
- 1:12:20which allows her to select specific
- 1:12:21battle gifts during enemy encounters.
- 1:12:23But it serves another function. When she
- 1:12:26wears it with specific outfit colors, a
- 1:12:28gift box corresponding to that color
- 1:12:29will spawn. And each of these has its
- 1:12:31own unique text, which sheds more light
- 1:12:33on the puppet. In every box description,
- 1:12:35there are shaking letters. And if you
- 1:12:37put them in the correct order with other
- 1:12:38colors, you get three sentences. I
- 1:12:41firstly gifted golden hair. I secondly
- 1:12:43gifted a ship. I thirdly gifted a spear.
- 1:12:46This seems to be a reference to Loki.
- 1:12:48Not the Marvel character, but the Norse
- 1:12:50trickster. He got the hair of Thor's
- 1:12:52wife, Cyph. And to make up for this, he
- 1:12:53had dwarfs make gifts. Those include new
- 1:12:56golden hair, a ship that can fold up
- 1:12:57into a pocket, and a spear that never
- 1:12:59misses. These match up with the gift box
- 1:13:02message implying that the puppet's
- 1:13:03mysterious identity is actually Loki.
- 1:13:05Furthermore, after killing Odin's son
- 1:13:07named Boulder, Loki was chained to a
- 1:13:09rock where a serpent drips poison.
- 1:13:12Luckily for him, his wife Sigan is there
- 1:13:14to collect it in a bucket, but whenever
- 1:13:15she leaves, it drips on his face,
- 1:13:17resulting in immense pain. And
- 1:13:19apparently, that's what causes
- 1:13:20earthquakes. Cool. Similarly, the puppet
- 1:13:23in Popco's arcade was banished from
- 1:13:24another world and trapped in the box,
- 1:13:26further tying him to Loki. Granted, this
- 1:13:29doesn't match up one for one. There's no
- 1:13:31snake and Loki's wife isn't there. But
- 1:13:33all of this seems to imply that the
- 1:13:34puppet's true identity in the arcade
- 1:13:36story is Loki. This also explains why
- 1:13:39the puppet is a jester in Popco Arcade,
- 1:13:41as Loki is quite the mischievous
- 1:13:43guy/girl/horse.
- 1:13:45But moving on to the actual gift box
- 1:13:47descriptions, most of them connect to
- 1:13:48the Popco character special colors. The
- 1:13:51green one is about being a hero like Pop
- 1:13:53Goes. The yellow one is being
- 1:13:54intelligent like Blake. The orange one
- 1:13:56is about being in love, similar to
- 1:13:57Monora, etc. However, there are a couple
- 1:14:00of gift boxes that aren't tied to any of
- 1:14:01the special colors. Those being silver,
- 1:14:04indigo, and violet. However, we can
- 1:14:07pretty reasonably figure out who these
- 1:14:08belong to. The indigo box smells like
- 1:14:10the ocean, likely where Bonnie's corpse
- 1:14:12was disposed of, and has a desire to
- 1:14:14learn, investigate, and be at the core
- 1:14:16of the mystery, just like how Bonnie was
- 1:14:18researching the paranormal and was
- 1:14:20excited to be a ghost herself. However,
- 1:14:22the box also feels lost in a new
- 1:14:24environment and information, similar to
- 1:14:26how Bonnie ended up trapped in the
- 1:14:27arcade and hit with the reality that
- 1:14:29ghosts and hauntings are indeed real.
- 1:14:31Now, it seems like she's not quite sure
- 1:14:32what to do with that knowledge, but
- 1:14:34we'll present some theories later.
- 1:14:36Moving on, the violet box is clearly
- 1:14:38tied to Simon. I mean, obviously the
- 1:14:40color itself is violet, but it smells
- 1:14:42like metal and machines, just like how
- 1:14:44Simon is a robot. The sensation
- 1:14:46described also matches up with Simon's
- 1:14:48character in the 2016 lore. The box
- 1:14:50feels ambitious, an appetite for growth,
- 1:14:53for adapting, learning, evolving, for
- 1:14:56being bigger, stronger, better, but at
- 1:15:00the same time, an indescribable
- 1:15:01loneliness, awareness of total, perhaps
- 1:15:04sudden abandonment, and as a result,
- 1:15:07anger. In the Pop Goes 2016 story, Simon
- 1:15:10had an extension called evolution, which
- 1:15:12would allow him to quickly learn and
- 1:15:14evolve, just like how the feeling in the
- 1:15:15box wants to learn and grow. The feeling
- 1:15:18of anger also ties back to his character
- 1:15:19in the original story. Brits chained him
- 1:15:22to a wall after realizing what a
- 1:15:23horrible thing he had created and Simon
- 1:15:25eventually killed him in anger. It seems
- 1:15:27like in the modern story, Simon feels
- 1:15:28lonely, aware that at any time he could
- 1:15:31be abandoned which leads to his anger.
- 1:15:33This is all just speculation and we'll
- 1:15:34share some more thoughts later in this
- 1:15:36video. The final outlier gift is the
- 1:15:38silver box. The description reads, "The
- 1:15:41box is open. A sparkling spectral light
- 1:15:44glimmers from inside it. It smells
- 1:15:46clean, like freshly washed clothes, hand
- 1:15:48soap, and [music] nothing else. Though
- 1:15:50there's nothing physically in the box,
- 1:15:51it emits a sensation. The box feels
- 1:15:54loyal. A constant selfless dedication to
- 1:15:57supporting another, to talk, to assist,
- 1:16:00to genuinely care, but at the same time,
- 1:16:03a deep and growing sense of uncertainty,
- 1:16:05discomfort, a crisis of conscious,
- 1:16:08sitting perhaps on the wrong side and
- 1:16:10being trapped there. This box is likely
- 1:16:13referring to Fritz Glade. Being Bonnie's
- 1:16:15father, he cares for her, but it's clear
- 1:16:17that their relationship is a bit messy,
- 1:16:19hence why there's uncertainty and
- 1:16:21discomfort. He also murdered her and hid
- 1:16:23the evidence, which could explain the
- 1:16:24crisis of conscious. Fritz covered up
- 1:16:27his horrific crime to save himself. That
- 1:16:29definitely make him feel on the wrong
- 1:16:30side of things. Another possibility is
- 1:16:32that this is referring to Marilyn
- 1:16:34Schmidt, Bonnie Glad's online friend,
- 1:16:35and the protagonist from Candies 2.
- 1:16:38Marilyn's friendship could be with the
- 1:16:39boxes referring to by loyalty and
- 1:16:41dedication to supporting and caring for
- 1:16:43another. We also know that she talks to
- 1:16:45Bonnie a lot. However, the sense of
- 1:16:47uncertainty and being trapped on the
- 1:16:48wrong side of things could symbolize how
- 1:16:50Marilyn and Bonnie are literally
- 1:16:51countries apart. Or maybe she's unsure
- 1:16:53of the Violet project. I think Fritz is
- 1:16:56the more likely candidate for the silver
- 1:16:57box, but both interpretations are
- 1:16:59interesting nonetheless. Once the
- 1:17:01players completed everything in the
- 1:17:02arcade, she leaves the pizzeria and goes
- 1:17:04home. We then see the establishment
- 1:17:06later that night as someone or something
- 1:17:09watches the pop goes the weasel
- 1:17:10animatronic enter the arcade. He
- 1:17:13approaches the 3D printer intent on
- 1:17:14printing the black rabbit as a vessel
- 1:17:16for Bonnie Glade. Whoever is watching
- 1:17:18the Popco Pizzeria after dark stops him
- 1:17:20by resetting the room and the game ends
- 1:17:22with a promise to continue the story in
- 1:17:24Popco's Evergreen. As of the making and
- 1:17:27release of this video, Evergreen isn't
- 1:17:28out yet. Though, thanks to teasers,
- 1:17:30information from series creator King
- 1:17:32Carter, and already released Pop Ghost
- 1:17:34games, we can make some guesses on where
- 1:17:35things will go from here. Since this
- 1:17:37continues immediately from arcade, it
- 1:17:39takes place in 2024, and it'll have more
- 1:17:41traditionally styled FNAF gameplay. The
- 1:17:43main establishment will of course be the
- 1:17:45Pop Go Pizzeria, which is closed during
- 1:17:47the present story, likely because of
- 1:17:49Bonnie's death. Our protagonist, whoever
- 1:17:51they may be, has to face off against the
- 1:17:53Pop Go animatronics, who are being
- 1:17:55controlled by someone seen force. The
- 1:17:57game page reveals that someone has given
- 1:17:58them new instructions and that begs the
- 1:18:00question, who is puppeting the gang? The
- 1:18:02obvious suspect is Bonnie Glade. After
- 1:18:05all, her soul does haunt the weaselware
- 1:18:06systems that connect everything in the
- 1:18:08establishment. If you've played Pop
- 1:18:10Coast 2016, then you know that in that
- 1:18:12entry, the main gameplay was an
- 1:18:13experiment conducted by Fritz Glade. It
- 1:18:16was all designed to test the AI and
- 1:18:18curiosity of the main character,
- 1:18:19Strings. This weird looking guy was
- 1:18:22originally a dream catcher made to
- 1:18:23defeat Britz's fear of the puppet.
- 1:18:25However, in the CPU, it seems like Fritz
- 1:18:27isn't afraid of him. As according to
- 1:18:29Kane Carter, he never saw the puppet on
- 1:18:31a shift. He also said on Discord that
- 1:18:33the Evergreen story doesn't necessarily
- 1:18:35involve the protagonist being a robot.
- 1:18:37So, that leads me to believe that the
- 1:18:38gameplay in Evergreen isn't a test. Kane
- 1:18:41also said that Bonnie is a significant
- 1:18:42intelligent presence throughout the game
- 1:18:44as a ghost, furthering my suspicion that
- 1:18:46she's the one instructing the
- 1:18:47animatronics. Furthermore, Saffron's
- 1:18:50mechanic involves prying open the photo
- 1:18:51room door, and King Carter's description
- 1:18:53notes that she probably damages it. I
- 1:18:55doubt Fritz would allow the pizzeria to
- 1:18:57get damaged during his experiment. This
- 1:18:59also leaves the question of who the
- 1:19:00protagonist is, but frankly, there's
- 1:19:02very little information on the matter,
- 1:19:04so I have almost no clue. It could be
- 1:19:06Fritz since the post night section seem
- 1:19:08to feature him as the protagonist.
- 1:19:10However, he was the phone guy in Pop
- 1:19:12Ghost 2016, and we know that Evergreen
- 1:19:14will have lots of dialogue and live
- 1:19:15conversations. So, I assume Fritz will
- 1:19:18repric his role as the Pop Go Pizzeria's
- 1:19:20phone guy. So, if he's not the
- 1:19:21protagonist, then who is? This
- 1:19:24definitely won't happen, but it'd be
- 1:19:25cool if Marilyn were the guard as the
- 1:19:27cover to find out what happened to
- 1:19:28Bonnie Glade. But again, I highly doubt
- 1:19:30that'll be the case. So, it seems like
- 1:19:32Evergreen will involve an unknown
- 1:19:34protagonist trying to fend off the
- 1:19:35animatronics who are being controlled by
- 1:19:37Bonnie Spirit and Weaselware. Despite
- 1:19:39that, I don't think she's the reason Pop
- 1:19:40[music] Goes is printing the black
- 1:19:42rabbit. If you unlock every achievement
- 1:19:44in My Pop Goes and linger on the
- 1:19:46achievement page, icons change the spell
- 1:19:48out, "Bring back my Bonnie to me." It
- 1:19:50seems like this message is from Fritz
- 1:19:52given how possessive it is of Bonnie.
- 1:19:54The achievement icons all feature Pop
- 1:19:56Ghost as well, suggesting that Fritz is
- 1:19:58telling him to bring Bonnie back. This
- 1:19:59would explain why when Pop Ghost was
- 1:20:01saving Bonnie's spirit in the arcade,
- 1:20:03saving Bonnie is a directive instead of
- 1:20:05an objective. Again, a directive is an
- 1:20:07instruction from authoritative person.
- 1:20:09In this case, Fritz. He's the owner of
- 1:20:11the Pop Ghost Pizzeria. So, him telling
- 1:20:14Pop Ghost to save Bonnie becomes his
- 1:20:15directive. And we know that this doesn't
- 1:20:18just apply to the arcade. Both the
- 1:20:20soundtrack and teaser of Pop Ghost
- 1:20:21printing the black rabbit are called
- 1:20:23directive. This obviously means that
- 1:20:25he's following that command in
- 1:20:26Evergreen. However, Pop Ghost
- 1:20:28misinterprets bringing Bonnie back as
- 1:20:30printing out a giant toy Bonnie
- 1:20:31figurine, which is black because it's
- 1:20:34not painted. In Arcad's ending, Bonnie
- 1:20:36says that she needs to find something
- 1:20:37else, obviously hinting at her
- 1:20:39possessing the black rabbit. I mean,
- 1:20:41she's literally saying that while
- 1:20:42appearing as a black rabbit sprite, and
- 1:20:44her jump scares in the form of the black
- 1:20:46rabbit. So, it seems like she learned
- 1:20:48about Pop Ghost's printing job and
- 1:20:50controls other bosses ensure that he
- 1:20:51succeeds. This is pretty much what
- 1:20:53happened in the 2016 lore as well. So, I
- 1:20:55think I got that right. So, clearly,
- 1:20:58Bonnie's trying to get a physical body,
- 1:21:00but what's her end goal? The only clue
- 1:21:02we have is that in Pop Goes Arcade,
- 1:21:04Bonnie is very focused on happiest day.
- 1:21:06One of her overworld sprites says,
- 1:21:08"Trapped. Where's Happiest Day?" And in
- 1:21:10the ending, she's found in the Happiest
- 1:21:11Day miniame from FNAF 3. This is where
- 1:21:14Simon's victims were put to rest, so
- 1:21:16likely she's also trying to be set free.
- 1:21:18Now, how that happens is a little vague.
- 1:21:21It's possible that she has to eliminate
- 1:21:22her killer, that being her father. It's
- 1:21:25not confirmed that Soul gets their happy
- 1:21:26state after their killer dies, but both
- 1:21:28of Freddy's and Candy's story lines end
- 1:21:30with their respective killers perishing.
- 1:21:32However, Simon's victims were put to
- 1:21:34rest before his death. So maybe the
- 1:21:36demise of one's killer isn't a necessity
- 1:21:38for their happiest stay. In the ending
- 1:21:40of Pop Goes and the Machinist, the
- 1:21:42titular weasel kills Morse the mole,
- 1:21:43further hinting that Bonnie might kill
- 1:21:45her father. I'm not entirely confident
- 1:21:47in this theory, so we'll just have to
- 1:21:49wait and see how things play out. Moving
- 1:21:51on from Bonnie Glade, let's focus on
- 1:21:52Evergreen's other villain, Simon. As I
- 1:21:55discussed earlier, in the original lore,
- 1:21:57[music] this purple skeleton was created
- 1:21:58by Fritz Glade in the image of his
- 1:22:00brother, who is, of course, the purple
- 1:22:02man. However, I don't think this will be
- 1:22:04the case in the CPU. If you recall,
- 1:22:06before Bonnie's death, she created the
- 1:22:08Violet Project with Marilyn. It was
- 1:22:10supposed to combine all the information
- 1:22:12surrounding Freddy's candies, and the
- 1:22:14paranormal in general to see if they
- 1:22:15could connect any dots. This might sound
- 1:22:18like a stretch at first, but what if the
- 1:22:19Violet project was artificial
- 1:22:21intelligence program created to connect
- 1:22:22all this data? In the 2016 lore, Fritz
- 1:22:25made something for strings called a
- 1:22:27curiosity module, which was similarly
- 1:22:29designed to connect pieces of evidence.
- 1:22:31I believe this concept might have gotten
- 1:22:33reused in the CPU for the Violet
- 1:22:34Project, but this time it's Bonnie and
- 1:22:37Marilyn creating an AI to tie
- 1:22:38information together, and the AI is none
- 1:22:41other than Simon. Again, just bear with
- 1:22:43me here because I know this sounds
- 1:22:44crazy, but so much implies that this is
- 1:22:46the case. Remember when we were
- 1:22:48discussing the character gift boxes?
- 1:22:50Simon's was Violet. Not purple, but
- 1:22:52specifically Violet, like the Violet
- 1:22:54Project. Also, the purple man is a
- 1:22:57perfect form for an AI fed on the
- 1:22:59information of Freddy's and the
- 1:23:00supernatural. Adding to this, Pop Goes
- 1:23:02Arcade strongly implies that Fritz
- 1:23:04didn't make Simon. As I mentioned
- 1:23:06earlier, all the variants of Freddy seem
- 1:23:08to be representations of Simon. And
- 1:23:10interestingly enough, the Mangle, who
- 1:23:12symbolizes robot Simon, isn't created by
- 1:23:14the machinist. Pretty much all of his
- 1:23:16robots are parallels to Fritz's real
- 1:23:18animatronics. So having the Mangle not
- 1:23:20be created by him seems to be a very
- 1:23:22intentional detail to imply that Fritz
- 1:23:23doesn't make Simon in the CPU.
- 1:23:26Additionally, the Mangle might hint that
- 1:23:27Simon Fitzgerald's spirit will possess
- 1:23:29Simon since King Freddy haunts the
- 1:23:31Mangle. I still stand by what I said
- 1:23:33about Springtrap dying in FNAF 3, but I
- 1:23:35thought I'd at least entertain this
- 1:23:36idea. It's possible that Springtrap's
- 1:23:38remains were auctioned off after the
- 1:23:40Fazbear's fright fire and Bonnie for
- 1:23:42some reason used this while creating
- 1:23:43Simon, allowing the ghost of Simon
- 1:23:45Fitzgerald to possess the Violet
- 1:23:47Project. However, Arcade's story isn't
- 1:23:49always one for one. I think it's more
- 1:23:51likely that this represents how robot
- 1:23:53Simon carries on Simon Fitzgerald's
- 1:23:55mission, as both of them have a desire
- 1:23:57to evolve. So, while Simon is dead, his
- 1:23:59ideals and evil live on through his
- 1:24:01robot doppelganger. Again, Simon
- 1:24:04surviving FNAF 3 would be a drastic
- 1:24:06change, but it's a possibility that I
- 1:24:07thought I should least address. The
- 1:24:09death is an animal Simon voice is very
- 1:24:11robotic, and the mango is literally
- 1:24:12haunted by dead King Freddy, unlike how
- 1:24:14the other robots are simple replicas.
- 1:24:17So, that could imply that Robo Simon is
- 1:24:18haunted by human Simon. I'm much more
- 1:24:21confident that Simon is the embodiment
- 1:24:23of the Violet Project, an AI program
- 1:24:25created by Bonnie, an attempt to make
- 1:24:26some sense of all the timeline
- 1:24:28supernatural events. However, it seems
- 1:24:30like his learning function might have
- 1:24:32spiraled out of control, causing him to
- 1:24:33want to evolve. This is implied by the
- 1:24:35violet box, which conveys a desire to
- 1:24:37become smarter and stronger. The box
- 1:24:40also seems to imply that Simon's anger
- 1:24:42stems from abandonment, possibly
- 1:24:43referring to how his creator, Bonnie,
- 1:24:45was murdered. He might not know that
- 1:24:47she's dead, instead believing that she
- 1:24:49abandoned him, and this leads to his
- 1:24:50rage. However, this could also refer to
- 1:24:52how Simon Fitzgerald's father passed.
- 1:24:54Furthermore, it looks like Fritz has
- 1:24:56Simon locked up in his office, just like
- 1:24:58in the 2016 story. The Simon and
- 1:25:00Evergreen April Fool's Day video briefly
- 1:25:02shows his new design closing off his
- 1:25:04door. And while this is a silly joke
- 1:25:06video, it might imply that it's still
- 1:25:07where he resides in the Pop Ghost
- 1:25:09Pizzeria. It's possible that after
- 1:25:11Bonnie's death, Brits, realizing Simon's
- 1:25:13dangerous potential, locked him up in
- 1:25:15his office. He'll probably try to escape
- 1:25:17in Evergreen, maybe by deceiving the
- 1:25:19protagonist like in the original game.
- 1:25:21I'm not 100% confident in everything I
- 1:25:23said here, but I believe I'm at least
- 1:25:24somewhat close. I'm pretty sure that
- 1:25:26Simon is the Violet Project. Onto
- 1:25:29someone of lesser importance, Manora the
- 1:25:31Mouse. Again, she and Holly don't have
- 1:25:33animatronic variants in the Pop Ghost
- 1:25:35Pizzeria. However, in the 2016 lore,
- 1:25:37Monura almost did, but she was scrapped
- 1:25:39and left in a secret room. In Arcade,
- 1:25:41when you battle Morse, he summons a
- 1:25:43prototype Manura, which reminds me a lot
- 1:25:45of this old story line. While this might
- 1:25:47simply be a fun reference, the
- 1:25:49implication that Mors' robots are meant
- 1:25:50to parallel the popco animatronics might
- 1:25:53hint that an evergreen or sequel wound
- 1:25:55up discovering an unfinished manora
- 1:25:56animatronic. A manora model was made as
- 1:25:59a fun milestone goal for one of Daco's
- 1:26:01charity streams. And the popco Twitter
- 1:26:03reiterated that she's not an evergreen
- 1:26:04as a robot threat, but I still think
- 1:26:06there could be some sort of unfinished
- 1:26:07form in this game or another because
- 1:26:09that prototype Manoran arcade is really
- 1:26:11suspicious. Moving past the Pop Ghost
- 1:26:14Pizzeria, let's take a look at the post
- 1:26:15night gameplay. These take place in
- 1:26:17colored vaults that connect to each Pop
- 1:26:19Ghost character and their toy
- 1:26:20counterpart, who serves as the main
- 1:26:22threat in each level. As the animatronic
- 1:26:25gets closer to you, it'll transition to
- 1:26:26a more demented look, which was referred
- 1:26:28to as False. False Freddy and Balloon
- 1:26:31Boy have already been revealed along
- 1:26:32with some glimpses of False Mangle. In
- 1:26:35terms of story, I believe this
- 1:26:36represents Fritz's fears for the toy
- 1:26:38animatronics and will be playing as him
- 1:26:40during these sections. The vault naming
- 1:26:42convention implies that these are vaults
- 1:26:43in his mind where he's locked away the
- 1:26:45fears of the toys and now he has to face
- 1:26:47them. Speaking of the Freddy's gang, I
- 1:26:49want to mention that Pop goes hat might
- 1:26:51have some story significance. If you
- 1:26:53remember, this is actually Freddy
- 1:26:54Fazbear's hat that Fritz won from the
- 1:26:56Fazbear's Fright auction. In Bonnie's
- 1:26:59diary, she noted that her father seemed
- 1:27:00to believe that Freddy Fazbear or the
- 1:27:02pizzeria itself was unlucky. And this
- 1:27:04might have more meaning than it seems.
- 1:27:06In pop goes 2016. Luck was a very real
- 1:27:09thing with the Fitzgerald brothers both
- 1:27:11being on the opposite sides of the luck
- 1:27:13spectrum. Jeremy/ Fritz was the luckiest
- 1:27:15man in the world while Simon was lucky.
- 1:27:17Albeit his luck eventually turned on
- 1:27:19him. So perhaps luck is still part of
- 1:27:21the modern story and Fritz giving
- 1:27:23Freddy's hat to Pop goes the weasel
- 1:27:25transferred some of the bad luck
- 1:27:26surrounding Freddy Fazbear's Pizza to
- 1:27:27the Pop Goes Pizzeria. Speaking of
- 1:27:30Freddy, the death as an animal teaser
- 1:27:31ends with a look at a super withered
- 1:27:33Freddy. Considering that he doesn't yet
- 1:27:35resemble his classic appearance, it
- 1:27:37seems that this is before the wizards
- 1:27:38were refurbished. So perhaps during
- 1:27:40Evergreen, there will be a flashback
- 1:27:41between FNAF 2 and 1, possibly featuring
- 1:27:43Simon doing experiments with the haunted
- 1:27:45animatronics blood so we can learn how
- 1:27:47to tame death. This game looks like
- 1:27:49it'll take place all across the
- 1:27:50timeline. There have been teasers of the
- 1:27:52original Freddy's, the FNAF 2 location,
- 1:27:54Saffron's construction, and Simon's
- 1:27:56abandoned house. Judging from how both
- 1:27:58the Freddy's teaser in My Pop goes and
- 1:28:00the Death as an Animal Teaser are
- 1:28:01recordings, Evergreen might feature
- 1:28:03footage depicting crucial events
- 1:28:04throughout Fritz's life. As we said
- 1:28:06before, Death as an Animal is very
- 1:28:08reminiscent of the Red Bunker memory
- 1:28:09from the canceled Pop Gos finale [music]
- 1:28:11in which Fritz explored Simon's
- 1:28:13abandoned hideout. The rest of the game
- 1:28:15would have similarly depicted memories
- 1:28:16throughout Fritz's life at various
- 1:28:18Freddy's locations, which feels like
- 1:28:19what all these teasers are building up
- 1:28:21to. Maybe an evergreen will experience
- 1:28:23his memories from his love for Freddy
- 1:28:25Fazer's Pizza to uncovering his
- 1:28:27brother's despicable work to creating
- 1:28:28the Pop Go Pizzeria in the present day
- 1:28:30and who knows what else. That's all we
- 1:28:32have to say about Pop Goes Evergreen at
- 1:28:34the moment. This is a game we're very
- 1:28:36excited for. I can't wait to see how it
- 1:28:38continues the story and enhances the
- 1:28:40gameplay of the original Pop Goes.
- 1:28:42>> Pop Goes.
- 1:28:43>> But Evergreen isn't the only upcoming
- 1:28:44game in the CPU. Five Nights of Candies
- 1:28:474 is also on the way. We made a video
- 1:28:49discussing the troubled development of
- 1:28:50this fourth entry and the series as a
- 1:28:52whole. If you're interested in a more
- 1:28:53in-depth look, but what we know in terms
- 1:28:55of story is that this game won't really
- 1:28:57be part of the Candies trilogy. It
- 1:28:59doesn't focus on Mary or her family, and
- 1:29:01the rat won't even be the main villain.
- 1:29:03Instead, this entry will take a look at
- 1:29:05the Robotics Corporation, which you may
- 1:29:07recall produced the rat and cat wire
- 1:29:09puppets and all the candies bought. This
- 1:29:11game takes place in some sort of
- 1:29:13facility, likely the robotics factory or
- 1:29:15another one of their establishments. Our
- 1:29:17main character for this entry is
- 1:29:18expected to follow a series of jobs
- 1:29:19without question and most importantly
- 1:29:21not activate the animatronics for this
- 1:29:24game. Candy the cat is finally the main
- 1:29:26antagonist with a new variant known as
- 1:29:28forgotten candy. He's been all over the
- 1:29:30teasers and even appeared in one of the
- 1:29:32remastered endings as a man talks about
- 1:29:34making the cat perfect. We know that at
- 1:29:36least some portion of the story takes
- 1:29:38place before the events of Five Nights
- 1:29:39at Candies 1 as evidenced by the
- 1:29:41forgotten candy poster on Cam 13.
- 1:29:43Interestingly, you can also see the
- 1:29:45newspaper reporting the twin's death
- 1:29:46behind it, which could indicate that
- 1:29:48forgotten candy was made after that
- 1:29:50event, or it could just be a reused
- 1:29:51asset. Along with this new candy,
- 1:29:53there's another cat character, some
- 1:29:55candy lings, and a whole unknown cast of
- 1:29:57both animatronic and human characters.
- 1:30:00Emil Mako mentioned that there's going
- 1:30:01to be entirely new bots rather than just
- 1:30:03new variants of previous characters.
- 1:30:05That's pretty much all we know about the
- 1:30:06story at this moment. Since there wasn't
- 1:30:08much to discuss with Five Nights at
- 1:30:09Candies 4, let's poke some fun at the
- 1:30:11series and point out all the plot holes
- 1:30:13that we caught. This isn't us trying to
- 1:30:14be mean or anything, it's just fun to
- 1:30:16analyze minor mistakes in this otherwise
- 1:30:18amazing story. [music] First off, in the
- 1:30:20FNA 3 miniame depicting Rat murdering
- 1:30:22the Candy's guard in 1993, Chester and
- 1:30:25Old Candy appear, which messes with the
- 1:30:27timeline a lot. Old Candy is
- 1:30:29decommissioned at this point, and
- 1:30:30Chester's at the Robotics factory, so
- 1:30:32their presence here doesn't make too
- 1:30:34much sense. And before anyone says that
- 1:30:36the guard here is the one before Mary
- 1:30:37who attacked Blank, it's clearly not. As
- 1:30:40Five Nights at Candies 2 shows us,
- 1:30:41whenever the rat kills people, he leaves
- 1:30:43them out in the open. He left the 1993
- 1:30:45Candies guard in the office. And if the
- 1:30:47rat or cat kills Marilyn and FNAC 2,
- 1:30:49then a newspaper reports that her body
- 1:30:51is found. Unlike when the Candies
- 1:30:52characters get her, she's simply
- 1:30:54declared missing. Since the guard who
- 1:30:56attacked Blank wasn't found dead, it's
- 1:30:58unlikely that Rat killed him. This means
- 1:31:00this miniame has to depict the rodent
- 1:31:02killing the guard in 1993. So, it
- 1:31:04doesn't make sense how old Candy and
- 1:31:05Chester are here, given how old Candy
- 1:31:07should be dead and Chester should be
- 1:31:08chilling at the Robotics factory. On the
- 1:31:11subject of the factory, the Five Nights
- 1:31:12at Candies two ending newspaper says
- 1:31:14that six people died there, but it
- 1:31:16should be seven considering [music]
- 1:31:17someone else died there in 1993. The six
- 1:31:20previous victims all correlate to the
- 1:31:21six candies animatronics, so there
- 1:31:23weren't five victims before the other
- 1:31:25person died there in 1993. Another weird
- 1:31:28thing in FNAT 2 is how the original
- 1:31:29Vinnie appears in the office during
- 1:31:31Chester's miniame. I mentioned how
- 1:31:33strange this was earlier, but seriously,
- 1:31:35I can't tell if this is meant to imply
- 1:31:36that the puppeteers's ghost resides in
- 1:31:38Candy's Bergs and Fries or if it's just
- 1:31:40an Easter egg. I think the ladder is
- 1:31:41more likely, but it is so weird. On a
- 1:31:44more positive note, Emil Mako stated
- 1:31:46that the changes made to the Candies
- 1:31:47trilogy in the DX Steam releases will
- 1:31:49hopefully make the first three games
- 1:31:50feel like coherent pieces of the series
- 1:31:52they belong in. So, these plot holes and
- 1:31:54Vinnie's random appearance might get
- 1:31:56cleaned up. And with that, we've reached
- 1:31:58the end of this video. This has been a
- 1:32:00long, long project that's been in the
