  1. 0:02In this video, I'm going to show you the
  2. 0:04fastest way to turn a simple 2D floor
  3. 0:07plan into a clean AI generated 3D
  4. 0:10axonometric view. We'll explore multiple
  5. 0:13architectural and interior options from
  6. 0:15exterior facade axos to interior section
  7. 0:18AXOs, trying out different material
  8. 0:20finishes, bringing real products
  9. 0:22directly into our renders, and
  10. 0:24assembling everything into a polished
  11. 0:26client ready presentation package. I'll
  12. 0:28be using Rayon Design, a fast, modern,
  13. 0:30and intuitive browserbased CAD tool. You
  14. 0:33can create a free account to follow
  15. 0:34along in real time, or you can come back
  16. 0:37to this workflow and apply it to your
  17. 0:39own projects whenever you're ready.
  18. 0:40Let's dive in. You can import and edit
  19. 0:42any document type in Rayon from DWG,
  20. 0:45PDF, and images. Then completely edit
  21. 0:48and redesign them. Now, let's refine and
  22. 0:50redesign this file. We can use Rayon's
  23. 0:53stylizing panel and block library. It
  24. 0:55makes this process super streamlined.
  25. 0:58You can take your drawings from concept
  26. 0:59to construction set all in one place
  27. 1:02with Rayon as I did here. But now the
  28. 1:04real magic happens. Let's take this
  29. 1:06document set to the next level with our
  30. 1:083D axonometric views. Rayon's AI panel
  31. 1:12will help you design, visualize, and
  32. 1:14refine your projects faster than ever
  33. 1:15before. From generating aometric
  34. 1:18drawings to creating custom CAD blocks,
  35. 1:20producing realistic 3D renders, and even
  36. 1:23replacing furniture or materials, you
  37. 1:25can try endless prompts that will save
  38. 1:27you hours and unlock new creative
  39. 1:29possibilities. Okay, let's have a look
  40. 1:31at the elevation. So, we can use the AI
  41. 1:35panel which is on the left hand side
  42. 1:36here. So, where it says AI chat. So,
  43. 1:38we're going to open up the panel and
  44. 1:39what I want to do is go to the toolbox
  45. 1:42and say generate image. So this is a
  46. 1:44sort of primer for the AI to understand
  47. 1:47what you want it to do. So we'll go to a
  48. 1:49screenshot and I'll do a screenshot of
  49. 1:51my front elevation and I'll say create a
  50. 1:563D hexonometric
  51. 1:59view. There we have it. So I can preview
  52. 2:03that. You can see here it's created a 3D
  53. 2:06view of our building of our elevation
  54. 2:09and I could insert that image directly
  55. 2:11into my canvas. So you have that there.
  56. 2:14So that obviously gives the client or
  57. 2:16another team member a much better
  58. 2:18understanding um how the building might
  59. 2:20look in three dimensions. The other
  60. 2:22thing we can do
  61. 2:24is right click on that and say reference
  62. 2:26in chat. So then that references that
  63. 2:28image back into there and we could add a
  64. 2:31style to that image. So at the moment
  65. 2:32it's just taking that 2D line quality,
  66. 2:35but I can go down to stylize and I could
  67. 2:37give it a realistic look and feel. So
  68. 2:39have a sort of render style. Let's try
  69. 2:41that.
  70. 2:43There you have it. So, we have a
  71. 2:45realistic render start to that. Now, I
  72. 2:47could adjust that image for example. So,
  73. 2:49I could change the lighting, make it a
  74. 2:51daytime image rather than nighttime
  75. 2:52image. Let's try that. Go to more
  76. 2:55actions. We'll say reuse. So, this then
  77. 2:58puts it back into the chat. We'll say
  78. 3:01make this a daytime
  79. 3:04image.
  80. 3:07Perfect. Now, I could bring that into my
  81. 3:11canvas. You can see it keeps the
  82. 3:13geometry perfectly um aligned with the
  83. 3:16original drawing. And I could say maybe
  84. 3:18instead of timber I want that to be
  85. 3:20brick work. So we could say again I
  86. 3:22could right click on that image. I could
  87. 3:24say reference in chat and then I could
  88. 3:26say change timber cladding for red
  89. 3:31brick.
  90. 3:35So again I can insert the image. So we
  91. 3:37could start doing some option studies.
  92. 3:39So different materials for example you
  93. 3:42can see very very quickly you have a
  94. 3:44different type of image you know you've
  95. 3:46gone from that 2D elevation to a 3D
  96. 3:49understanding of it and then realistic
  97. 3:52material options. So we can do exactly
  98. 3:54the same thing with our internal view.
  99. 3:56So we'll jump over to this section view.
  100. 3:58So this is a um internal section of an
  101. 4:01apartment for example. So we've got a
  102. 4:02living space, a kitchen space um and a
  103. 4:04dining space. And I can jump over to my
  104. 4:06AI chat. So again on the left hand side
  105. 4:09if we do new thread that creates a clear
  106. 4:11sort of space go to toolbox I'll say
  107. 4:14generate image I can add a screenshot
  108. 4:17and I'll take a screenshot of my section
  109. 4:20and I'll say create a 3D
  110. 4:24exometric
  111. 4:26this section
  112. 4:29press enter
  113. 4:34so you can see here it's made an
  114. 4:36assumption it's extruded ed out that
  115. 4:38that view and created a 3D looking axo.
  116. 4:42So again, I can easily insert that in. I
  117. 4:45can take a better look. Yeah, I think
  118. 4:48that's a pretty good representation of
  119. 4:49our our section there. So exactly the
  120. 4:52same thing. So I can right click on this
  121. 4:54and I can say reference in chat. And
  122. 4:56again, we'll try this with a realistic
  123. 5:00render style. And obviously with that,
  124. 5:03the um the software is having to make a
  125. 5:05lot of assumptions. So, it's having to
  126. 5:07take this, you know, grayscale drawing
  127. 5:09and, you know, make an assessment of
  128. 5:10what materials it sees fit. The really
  129. 5:12great thing is that we can then take
  130. 5:14that forward and adjust those materials
  131. 5:16as we want.
  132. 5:18So, we have here. Yeah. Amazing. So,
  133. 5:21again, we could say brighten
  134. 5:26the image for example.
  135. 5:29We can insert that into our canvas. And
  136. 5:32again, we can start thinking about
  137. 5:33different materials. uh reference in the
  138. 5:35chat and I could say make the kitchen
  139. 5:40slashback
  140. 5:42a green
  141. 5:44tile for example.
  142. 5:50Yep, looks good. Um, and then maybe
  143. 5:55make the kitchen cabinets
  144. 5:58dark stain
  145. 6:02timber.
  146. 6:06So, I can insert that. You can see it
  147. 6:09keeps the geometry um all the same,
  148. 6:13which is exactly what you want. And just
  149. 6:16adjust the materials. Another really
  150. 6:17cool thing I can do is um search for uh
  151. 6:22patterned wallpaper
  152. 6:25um plants for example.
  153. 6:29Let's go with something jazzy.
  154. 6:32So I could copy that image, paste it
  155. 6:35into So I could reuse this image. Then I
  156. 6:39could take a screenshot
  157. 6:42of this
  158. 6:44and I could say add this
  159. 6:48green wallpaper to the living room.
  160. 6:55So there it should be referencing one
  161. 6:57image and placing it into another.
  162. 7:04Wow.
  163. 7:07I mean that's quite full on but you get
  164. 7:09my point. Similarly we could swap out
  165. 7:12the furniture. So maybe I'll find a
  166. 7:16sofa for example.
  167. 7:28Okay
  168. 7:30this one. So again
  169. 7:33I could copy that image. Paste that in.
  170. 7:37Maybe I'll do it with the one without
  171. 7:39the funky wallpaper. Um, so reference
  172. 7:43that image. Add in the screenshot of the
  173. 7:47sofa.
  174. 7:49And I can say swap the sofa for this
  175. 7:54orange
  176. 7:55sofa. Or maybe swap the sofa in the AXO
  177. 8:03for this orange sofa. Let's see what
  178. 8:05happens.
  179. 8:09There we go. Nice orange sofa.
  180. 8:16We can also do a similar thing with
  181. 8:18another piece of furniture like the
  182. 8:19dining table for example. So again I
  183. 8:21could find
  184. 8:23um
  185. 8:25contemporary
  186. 8:27metal dining table for example.
  187. 8:36I could copy that in
  188. 8:41and I'll go to my AI panel. I can
  189. 8:43reference this image in the chat. I can
  190. 8:46reference the table as well. And I can
  191. 8:49say replace the wooden dining table with
  192. 8:54this orange
  193. 8:59table.
  194. 9:12Okay, so we got a nice orange sofa and a
  195. 9:15nice orange table. The other really good
  196. 9:18thing we can do is to transpose those
  197. 9:21into 2D. So, for example, I could take
  198. 9:24my two new pieces of furniture
  199. 9:27and I could say I'll create a new thread
  200. 9:31and I'll reference this in the chat. I
  201. 9:34can go down to toolbox and I can say
  202. 9:36generate product
  203. 9:39and we can go and press send.
  204. 9:43So, this will now be reading that image.
  205. 9:46It removes the background. it generates
  206. 9:48a representation of that image and then
  207. 9:51it draws the top side um and front views
  208. 9:54of the block and creates a CAD block out
  209. 9:56of it. Now you can see how fluid the AI
  210. 10:00processes, you know, when you're testing
  211. 10:02ideas. Um but obviously if you're
  212. 10:04putting in bespoke furniture, being able
  213. 10:06to transpose those into 2D very quickly
  214. 10:08and update your technical drawings is a
  215. 10:10real um timesaver.
  216. 10:15So there we go. generated a 2D CAD
  217. 10:18vector block the image and it's
  218. 10:20estimated the sizes and I can insert
  219. 10:22that
  220. 10:25into here.
  221. 10:28There we go.
  222. 10:32And I can easily just replace
  223. 10:36that with this sofa. Obviously in this
  224. 10:38block family for example you know I
  225. 10:41could start adding a fill for example. I
  226. 10:45can even add a nice orange color if I
  227. 10:48wanted to.
  228. 10:51There we go.
  229. 10:55I can do exactly the same thing with the
  230. 10:57dining table. So, let's run the process
  231. 11:00again. So, we go to toolbox, we go to
  232. 11:03generate product. So, then it
  233. 11:05understands the process that's already
  234. 11:07built in. I'll reference that in the
  235. 11:10chat. So, it's now looking back at that
  236. 11:12dining table. and I'll go to generate.
  237. 11:19So exactly the same thing. I can insert
  238. 11:21that
  239. 11:22in here. You can see there it's
  240. 11:24understood the sort of scale of the
  241. 11:26table. Let's say we hide that one. I can
  242. 11:30change the line weights in here. For
  243. 11:32example, make it a bit stronger. Add a
  244. 11:36fill in here. We can add in a color.
  245. 11:39Again, a nice tasteful orange.
  246. 11:48And exactly the same thing, I could
  247. 11:49bring in the floor plan as well. And
  248. 11:52again, if you're bringing in your own
  249. 11:54furniture, um, we could also add
  250. 11:56something like a leader which describes
  251. 11:58what it is. So I could copy the name
  252. 12:02from here. Copy that in. I can even set
  253. 12:05it as a hyperlink. So I could set the
  254. 12:09URL for example in the hyperlink
  255. 12:12location
  256. 12:14and then when you go to click on that it
  257. 12:16takes you to the actual piece of
  258. 12:18furniture. I think that's pretty uh
  259. 12:20helpful. Perfect. Okay. Now with these
  260. 12:22ideas illustrated so clearly thanks to
  261. 12:24the AI panel let's put them together
  262. 12:26into our document set. Okay. So we have
  263. 12:29this document set as part of our overall
  264. 12:31presentation and we can start bringing
  265. 12:33in those AI generated images into the
  266. 12:35drawing set. Um so this is our paper
  267. 12:38canvas. I can add some new views um back
  268. 12:41to our plan or section in our building.
  269. 12:44So you can see here just by creating
  270. 12:46that view I can see back to my canvas.
  271. 12:48So I could add in my elevation onto here
  272. 12:52for example. We can set our scale.
  273. 12:57Maybe we'll call that one 200.
  274. 13:00So we can have that on one side. And
  275. 13:03then maybe we've got our axonometric
  276. 13:05view on the other side. I could scale
  277. 13:07that up.
  278. 13:10I can crop that. That looks pretty
  279. 13:13helpful. So you have an understanding of
  280. 13:14the um overall building. I could even
  281. 13:18take that view and you know, maybe I use
  282. 13:20one of these as my front cover image. I
  283. 13:24can align that nicely. Maybe we could
  284. 13:27even show these material studies as
  285. 13:30little vignettes that go alongside that
  286. 13:33we're able to explore different ideas
  287. 13:36very quickly and communicate them pretty
  288. 13:39seamlessly. And similarly, I can do the
  289. 13:41same thing with the internal views. So
  290. 13:43again, I'll go to new view.
  291. 13:46I go to section this time and you can
  292. 13:49see those sections that we created.
  293. 13:53I can change my view boundary and I can
  294. 13:57change the scale. So maybe we'll say
  295. 13:59these are 1 to 50. You can see those
  296. 14:02annotation leaders that I showed you
  297. 14:04earlier. I'll change the crop boundary
  298. 14:06on this. And then I can duplicate my
  299. 14:09view and then I can start having a look
  300. 14:10at some of these aometric views. Let's
  301. 14:14go for our latest one with our orange
  302. 14:17sofa and table. So we could have this
  303. 14:20view down here for example. And then I
  304. 14:23can even, you know, start grabbing some
  305. 14:26of these elements as well. You can start
  306. 14:29building up a a pallet of different
  307. 14:32furniture. And the really helpful thing,
  308. 14:34this is all in one browser. So I'm doing
  309. 14:36all my AI, all my drawing and all my
  310. 14:39presenting all in one tool. Exactly the
  311. 14:41same thing with the mood board for
  312. 14:43example. So, you know, I can take my
  313. 14:46views from earlier where I've
  314. 14:48referenced, you know, things like this
  315. 14:51very funky wallpaper and I can even
  316. 14:53reference these pieces of furniture with
  317. 14:57it as well. I think that sits pretty
  318. 14:59well as an overall presentation. And so
  319. 15:00we've got our intro, a description of
  320. 15:03the different plans, the apartments, the
  321. 15:05overall look and feel, some different
  322. 15:06details, and then you've got these very
  323. 15:09clear um and hopefully really helpful
  324. 15:12visuals um and 3D axonometrics. Now,
  325. 15:16with the pages complete, we can easily
  326. 15:18share our finished document with our
  327. 15:19teammates or publish a presentation
  328. 15:22ready to be viewed by our clients. Okay,
  329. 15:24so we can share that presentation. So
  330. 15:26you'll see over in the right hand side
  331. 15:27there's a share button. So we'll start
  332. 15:30with access to a teammate for example.
  333. 15:33So I can provide access to a teammate
  334. 15:37using their email
  335. 15:39and I can set them as either a editor,
  336. 15:42an admin or a viewer. So obviously if
  337. 15:45they're a viewer they can have a look at
  338. 15:46the presentation but they can't edit it.
  339. 15:48Um editor obviously means they can. So
  340. 15:50I'm going to set it to viewer and I'm
  341. 15:52going to invite. So now looking as um my
  342. 15:55different identities. So you know I've
  343. 15:56invited myself into this. I can look at
  344. 15:58the models that have been shared with me
  345. 16:00and I can see that apartment scheme
  346. 16:02here. So you can see here now I can view
  347. 16:05all the drawings or the presentation
  348. 16:06that were shared with me and I can do a
  349. 16:07couple of things with that. So I could
  350. 16:10measure. So I can use this measure tool
  351. 16:13to check any measurements. I can check
  352. 16:16areas for example.
  353. 16:19Yeah. So that will calculate an area.
  354. 16:21But I can also add comments and
  355. 16:23annotations. So I can add a comment for
  356. 16:25example and I could say something like
  357. 16:28uh can we do one more material study for
  358. 16:34the facade
  359. 16:37um
  360. 16:39white render
  361. 16:41with dark reveals
  362. 16:44and I can post that and then that will
  363. 16:47come up in the designers toolbar.
  364. 16:50Similarly, I could annotate. For
  365. 16:52example, say here
  366. 16:55I could add a comment to that and say,
  367. 16:59can we
  368. 17:01take the tile all the way up? So then
  369. 17:05there's clarity. So I have my comment
  370. 17:07and I also have my annotation. And then
  371. 17:09jumping back into the original side, I
  372. 17:11can then go to the comments tab and I
  373. 17:14can see my comments there. So if I click
  374. 17:16on the comment, it will show me where it
  375. 17:17is, what it is. So you have what it is
  376. 17:20in reference to and then we have message
  377. 17:22can we do want more material study um
  378. 17:24and then I can respond to that and I'll
  379. 17:26say sure we do
  380. 17:31I can even add an emoji to that if I
  381. 17:33wanted to. Similarly
  382. 17:36on this one can we take the title all
  383. 17:38the way up? Um we looked at that but
  384. 17:44this felt like a better option. So once
  385. 17:48again, all of your messaging, your back
  386. 17:50and forth with your team or your boss um
  387. 17:53is all within the same piece of
  388. 17:54software. And then finally, once those
  389. 17:56elements are resolved, we could share a
  390. 17:58presentation. So once again, we'll jump
  391. 18:00over to the share button. So rather than
  392. 18:02in the access tab, we go over to
  393. 18:04presentation and we'll just slide this
  394. 18:07little slider. This will give us a link.
  395. 18:09With that link, we could send it to our
  396. 18:11client for example, so over email um and
  397. 18:14they can open it directly in their
  398. 18:15browser or I can open it directly in my
  399. 18:17browser here. So I'll go to open now.
  400. 18:19It'll take a second just to load up.
  401. 18:21There we have it. So we have our front
  402. 18:22page,
  403. 18:24we have our plans, more detail plans,
  404. 18:27some detail section and elevations,
  405. 18:30our overall plan, lighting layouts.
  406. 18:32We've got our material boards which
  407. 18:34we've updated with those um images. We
  408. 18:38have our elevation, those material
  409. 18:40studies from AI, and our 3D axonometric
  410. 18:43from AI. And then our detail sections,
  411. 18:46our furniture, and that final detail
  412. 18:48view that we created very simply with
  413. 18:50AI. And the really great thing is if I
  414. 18:52go back, if I was to make a change, for
  415. 18:56example. So I said, oh, actually, I want
  416. 18:58this to be the timber option. All I'd
  417. 19:01need to do is go to share again
  418. 19:03presentation and I click this little
  419. 19:05update button and that will keep that
  420. 19:07same link but it'll update the
  421. 19:09presentation. So any of the updates I
  422. 19:11captured you know that you're going to
  423. 19:13be presenting the latest and you're not
  424. 19:15needing to provide your client with
  425. 19:16another link. All very simple all within
  426. 19:19browser. So again I can update I can
  427. 19:22open and that presentation has been
  428. 19:23updated. Perfect. And that wraps up this
  429. 19:26workflow for turning a simple 2D drawing
  430. 19:29into a complete AI generated 3D
  431. 19:31axonometric view styled material
  432. 19:34variations, real product render inserts,
  433. 19:36and polished architectural
  434. 19:37presentations, all inside Rayon. With
  435. 19:40this approach, you can explore design
  436. 19:41options faster, communicate ideas more
  437. 19:44clearly, and deliver client ready
  438. 19:46visuals without leaving your browser. If
  439. 19:48you're looking to speed up your process
  440. 19:50or elevate the quality of your
  441. 19:51presentation, this workflow is a huge
  442. 19:53timesaver. To try everything I showed in
