  9. 0:16sarah elizabeth holmes has been speaking
  10. 0:18directly to the jury for five days now
  11. 0:21she has acknowledged she's made some
  12. 0:22mistakes even at times said she wished
  13. 0:24she would have done things differently
  14. 0:26in cross-examination prosecutors are now
  15. 0:29poking holes at that they've gotten her
  16. 0:31to admit that not only she added the
  17. 0:33logos of giant drug makers onto these
  18. 0:35ceremonies reports that she gave to
  19. 0:37investors and executives but she also
  20. 0:40doctored some of the language on some of
  21. 0:42these reports guys this is as close to
  22. 0:44smoking gun as you can get in this trial
  23. 0:47elizabeth holmes on the stand has told
  24. 0:48the jury that yes i was the ceo i was
  25. 0:51the ultimate decision maker but she has
  26. 0:54also hinted to the jury that behind the
  27. 0:56scenes she was controlled almost like a
  28. 0:58puppet by company president and her
  29. 1:01boyfriend at the time sonny balwani next
  30. 1:03week the defense is expected to rest and
  31. 1:06guys my sources tell me that elizabeth
  32. 1:08holmes is really betting on herself here
  33. 1:10to clear her name
  34. 1:12and and jasmine what have been the most
  35. 1:15surprising wild card and unexpected
  36. 1:17parts of her defense thus far
  37. 1:20well first of all the most surprising
  38. 1:22thing is elizabeth holmes taking the
  39. 1:23stand any legal analyst will tell you
  40. 1:25that it's very rare for a white-collar
  41. 1:28defendant to take the stand there's a
  42. 1:30lot of inconsistencies in what she has
  43. 1:32said she has taken prior civil
  44. 1:34depositions and she has changed her
  45. 1:36answer now uh the whole uh blaming her
  46. 1:39ex-boyfriend has been surprising to hear
  47. 1:42and it's really shown a different side
  48. 1:44of elizabeth holmes we all remember
  49. 1:46holmes in her heyday she married herself
  50. 1:48as her idol steve jobs they have really
  51. 1:50softened her image now inside the
  52. 1:52courtroom she's broken down several
  53. 1:54times cried to the jury telling him that
  54. 1:57you know she suffered years of abuse at
  55. 1:58the hands of her boyfriend very serious
  56. 2:00allegations that sonny balwani
  57. 2:02categorically denies at the end of the
  58. 2:04day this all comes down to intent this
  59. 2:07jury will have to decide if elizabeth
  60. 2:09holmes intended to deceive and mislead
  61. 2:12investors and patients
