2:09>> Because of the evil in the world,
2:11judgment is coming.
2:16We were warned that those in the world
2:18would mock God.
2:24They would persecute Christians.
2:30They would hate what [music] is good and
2:32cling to what is evil.
2:34The believer in Christ is [music] told
2:36to look up for your redemption draws
2:39near.
2:43But the unbeliever,
2:45the scoffers, the mockers, the
2:48unrepentant, [music]
2:50they are told that the day of the Lord
2:52will come as a thief in the night in
2:54which the heavens will pass away with a
2:57great [music] noise, and the elements
2:59will melt with fervent heat. Both the
3:02earth and the works that are in it will
3:04be burned up. But here is what we should
3:07know before you get to the prophetic
3:10events in the book of [music]
3:11Revelation.
3:14The Bible repeatedly uses one mysterious
3:17[music]
3:17phrase over and over again. The day of
3:21the Lord.
3:25The day of the Lord involves both
3:27judgment and salvation.
3:31It's God's wrath against evil.
3:36But it is also a blessing for the
3:38righteous.
3:42Some see it as a single cataclysmic
3:45event
3:47while others view it as a period of time
3:49where God unleashes judgment on the
3:51wickedness of man.
3:54Now what does this look like in
3:56practical terms?
3:58How do we recognize when the day of the
4:00Lord is approaching?
4:05The scriptures give us signs.
4:11Jesus himself spoke of these things when
4:13he walked the earth. He said that in the
4:16last days there would be wars and rumors
4:18of wars.
4:30Nation would rise against nation,
4:33kingdom against kingdom.
4:36We see this happening all around us
4:39every day. The news tells us of
4:41conflict,
4:42of nations preparing for war,
4:48of old alliances breaking apart and new
4:50ones forming.
4:54But this is just the beginning.
4:58Jesus also spoke of famines,
5:02of earthquakes, of pestilences.
5:08We have seen these things increase in
5:10our lifetime.
5:14Global food shortages,
5:18devastating earthquakes,
5:23new diseases spreading across borders.
5:28These are not random events.
5:34They are birth pangs.
5:38They are the early signs of what is
5:40coming.
5:43But there is something else,
5:46something more troubling.
5:48Jesus said that because of the increase
5:51of wickedness,
5:54the love of many would grow cold.
6:00Look around you. Look at the world we
6:03live in.
6:05Where has compassion gone? [music] Where
6:08has kindness gone? People are consumed
6:11with their own lives, their own
6:12problems, their own desires. [sighs]
6:15They have no time for anyone else.
6:20Consider how we treat one another now.
6:26How easy it is to ignore someone who is
6:28suffering.
6:31How quick we are to judge. How fast we
6:33are to condemn.
6:37The world has grown cold. Hearts have
6:40hardened.
6:42People walk past the homeless on the
6:44street.
6:47They walk past the struggling mother.
6:50[crying]
6:52They turn a deaf ear to the cry of the
6:54needy.
6:57Love has grown cold. And money,
7:02money has become the god of this age.
7:07Everyone is chasing it. Everyone [music]
7:09is desperate for it. People will do
7:12anything to get it. Lie, cheat, steal,
7:15betray.
7:19The love of money is the root of all
7:21kinds of evil.
7:25The Bible tells us this and we see it
7:28everywhere we look. In governments, in
7:31businesses, in families. Money drives
7:34decisions. Money shapes policies. Money
7:37determines who is worthy and who is not.
7:40The pursuit of wealth has consumed the
7:42nations.
7:44People call evil good and good evil.
7:48They've turned truth upside down to fit
7:50what they want.
7:53The signs are clear and the day of the
7:55Lord is drawing near.
7:58But what will it look like when God
8:00pours out his wrath? What will the great
8:03tribulation look like?
8:06When the tribulation begins, the world
8:09will never be the same again.
8:12Around the year AD95,
8:15a man named John was exiled to a rocky
8:17island called Patmos.
8:21He was old.
8:26He had seen Rome destroy Jerusalem.
8:31>> He had watched Christians being fed to
8:33lions in the coliseum.
8:35>> Your hands we commit our souls.
8:37>> He had lost everything for the name of
8:39Jesus. But on Patmos, God gave him
8:42something no one else had ever seen.
8:45A vision of the future. A scroll sealed
8:49with seven seals.
8:53Words that would [music] shake the
8:54foundations of history.
8:59What John saw was terrifying.
9:05When the lamb opened the first seal,
9:07something was released into [music] the
9:09world that had been held back. God's
9:12wrath. As the judgments began, they
9:15would escalate in severity. The seal
9:18judgments affected a quarter of the
9:20earth. The trumpet judgments affected a
9:23third.
9:26The bold judgments would affect the
9:28entire earth.
9:32This was divine [music]
9:33justice, a call to repentance. But many
9:37would harden their hearts instead. The
9:40first seal was broken. A voice like
9:43thunder spoke. Come.
9:47A white horse rode out. Its rider
9:50carried a bow. A crown was placed on his
9:53head. He went out conquering and he
9:55would conquer still.
10:00This was the first horseman. Some say he
10:03is the antichrist. Others say he is a
10:06spirit of deception that spreads across
10:08the earth like a plague. He brings a
10:11kind of peace, but it is a false peace.
10:15He promises unity, but he delivers
10:18chains. Nations submit to him without
10:21knowing why. People trust him without
10:24understanding what they have embraced.
10:26The world does not recognize him for
10:28what he is.
10:31The second seal was broken. Another
10:34voice called out, "Come." A red horse
10:37rode out. Its rider carried a great
10:40sword. Peace was taken from the earth.
10:44People began to slaughter one another.
10:46War exploded across the continents.
10:49Armies that had been at peace suddenly
10:51marched. Borders that had held for
10:54generations were crossed in blood. The
10:57sword was drawn and not sheathed again.
11:00Fathers buried sons. Cities burned.
11:03Nations fell. The horsemen had taken
11:06what the first had promised. There would
11:08be no peace. Not now. Not for a long
11:12time. The third seal was broken. A black
11:16horse appeared. Its rider carried scales
11:19in his hand. A voice spoke from among
11:22the four living creatures.
11:25A day's wages for a quart of wheat.
11:27Three quarts of barley for a day's
11:29wages. Do not damage the oil and wine.
11:33Bread became scarce. Food that once cost
11:37a little now cost everything. A worker
11:40could barely afford enough to survive.
11:45But the wealthy still bought their
11:46luxuries.
11:50The rich still feasted while the poor
11:53starved. The imbalance was deliberate.
11:57The gap between those who had and those
11:59who had not grew wider. Hunger became a
12:02weapon. The powerful used it against the
12:05weak.
12:08The fourth seal was broken. A pale horse
12:12appeared. Its name was death. Behind it
12:16rode Hades, following close behind. They
12:20were given power over a fourth of the
12:22earth. They eliminated lives with a
12:24sword. They destroyed with famine. They
12:27took lives with plagues. A quarter of
12:30the world's population lost their lives.
12:33The death was not quick. Some starved.
12:36Some fell to disease. Some lost their
12:40lives by animals that had grown fierce
12:42and unafraid. The earth became a
12:45graveyard. The living envied the dead.
12:48Death had always been powerful. [music]
12:51Now it had been given a commission. The
12:54fifth seal was broken. John looked and
12:57saw something strange. [music]
13:03Under the altar in heaven, there were
13:05souls crying out. [music] They were the
13:07souls of those who had given their lives
13:09for the sake of God, for their testimony
13:13about the lamb.
13:17How long, sovereign Lord? They asked.
13:20[music]
13:22How long before you judge the peoples of
13:24the earth and avenge our blood? They
13:27were given white robes.
13:32A voice told them to wait a little
13:34longer. Others would die before the end
13:37came. This was [music] not the end of
13:39suffering. This was only the beginning.
13:43More would lose their lives for their
13:45faith.
13:49The martyrs [music] would not be the
13:50last. Their blood would be joined by
13:53more. The patience of God was not yet
13:56exhausted.
14:00The sixth seal was broken. The earth
14:03[music] shook.
14:05The sun became black.
14:09The moon [music] turned the color of
14:11blood.
14:14The stars fell from the sky like figs
14:17[music] dropping from a tree in a great
14:19wind.
14:20The sky receded like [music] a scroll
14:22being rolled up. Every mountain in every
14:26island was moved from its place.
14:28>> Every island was moved from its place.

14:30>> The kings of the earth hid themselves in
14:33caves.
14:36Those who lived lives of luxury and
14:38excess.
14:40The rich and [music] powerful, poor and
14:42weak, all ran to the mountains. They
14:46called out to the rocks, "Fall on us.
14:49Hide us from the face of the one who
14:51sits on the throne. Hide [music] us from
14:53the wrath of the lamb.
14:54>> Hide us.
14:57>> The day [music] of wrath had come. The
14:59great and terrible day of God's
15:01judgment. [music]
15:03No one could escape it. No money could
15:05buy safety. No power could stop [music]
15:08what was coming.
15:11The seventh seal was broken. There was
15:14silence [music] in heaven. For about
15:16half an hour, no one spoke. The angels
15:20stopped [music] singing. The elders
15:22stopped worshiping. The four living
15:24creatures stood motionless. This was not
15:27peace. This was the calm before [music]
15:30the next storm. When the silence ended,
15:34seven angels received seven trumpets.
15:37Another angel stood [music] at the altar
15:39with a golden sensor.
15:43He was given much incense [music] to
15:45offer with the prayers of all the saints
15:47on the golden altar before the throne.
15:50Then smoke filled the temple
15:54and thunder and lightning and an
15:56earthquake followed.
16:00The judgments [music] were about to get
16:01worse. The first trumpet sounded. Hail
16:05and fire mixed with blood were hurled to
16:09the earth.
16:10A third of the trees burned up.
16:15All the green grass burned up. The land
16:19that had survived the famine now burned.
16:24Crops that had survived the famine now
16:26turned to ash. The food supply that had
16:29been dwindling was now destroyed. A
16:32third of the earth's forests were gone.
16:37A third of its greenery was gone. The
16:40sky was dark with smoke. The earth was
16:42black with char. The first warning had
16:46been severe. The next would be worse.
16:49The second trumpet sounded. Something
16:52like a great burning mountain was thrown
16:54into the sea. A third of the sea turned
16:58to blood. A third of the creatures in
17:01the sea died. A third of the ships were
17:04destroyed.
17:08The oceans turned red. Fish floated to
17:11the surface, dead by the millions.
17:14Ships that had carried goods across the
17:17world now carried only wreckage and
17:19bodies. Trade that had kept economies
17:22alive came to a halt. The sea that had
17:26fed nations now poisoned them. The third
17:29trumpet sounded. A great star fell from
17:32heaven. Its name was Wormwood.
17:37It fell on a third of the rivers and on
17:40a third of the springs. The waters
17:42became bitter.
17:47Many people died from drinking the
17:49water. Wormwood.
17:52A name that meant bitterness.
17:54The fresh water that people had trusted
17:56was now poison. Springs they had drunk
17:59from since childhood was now like poison
18:02to them. Rivers that had sustained
18:05civilizations now carried death. The
18:08wells were poisoned. The streams were
18:11poisoned. There was nowhere to turn.
18:17The fourth trumpet [music] sounded.
18:23A third of the sun was struck. A third
18:25of the moon. A third of the stars.
18:27[music]
18:28A third of the day was dark.
18:32A third of the night was dark. The light
18:35dimmed.
18:38The sun that had warmed the earth now
18:40gave only partial warmth.
18:45The moon that had guided travelers now
18:47gave partial light.
18:52The stars that sailors had navigated by
18:55now gave partial guidance. The days grew
18:58shorter. The temperatures dropped. Crops
19:02that had survived the burning now
19:04struggled to grow in the cold. The
19:07rhythm of life was broken.
19:09[clears throat]
19:12The fifth trumpet sounded.
19:17A star fell from heaven to the earth.
19:22The bottomless pit was opened.
19:28Smoke rose from the pit [music] like the
19:31smoke of a great furnace. The sun and
19:34the air were darkened by the smoke.
19:38Out of the smoke came locusts.
19:44These were not ordinary locusts. They
19:47had power like scorpions.
19:50They were told not to harm those who had
19:52God's seal on their foreheads. They were
19:55told to torment everyone else for 5
19:57months.
20:00The torment was terrible.
20:02[music and snorts] The pain was intense.
20:04The sting was like the sting of a
20:06scorpion. [panting and sighs]
20:10People begged [music] to die, but they
20:12were not allowed to die.
20:16Their king was Abaden. In Greek, [music]
20:19his name was Apolon, the destroyer.
20:23For five months, the sealed people
20:25watched the unsealed suffer.
20:29For five months, the judgment of God was
20:32carried out on those who had refused
20:34[music] his protection.
20:36The sixth trumpet sounded. A [music]
20:39voice came from the altar.
20:43>> The four angels who had been bound at
20:45the great river Euphrates were released.
20:48They had been waiting for this hour.
20:51They had been ready to take the lives of
20:53a third of mankind.
20:55An army followed [music] them, 200
20:58million strong. Their horses breathed
21:00fire [music] and smoke and sulfur.
21:03Their riders wore breastplates of fire,
21:06jasin, [music]
21:07and brimstone. Their heads were like
21:10lion's heads. From their mouths came
21:13fire, smoke, and sulfur. A third of
21:16mankind lost their lives. by the fire
21:19from their mouths. By the smoke, by the
21:22sulfur, the survivors [music] did not
21:25repent. They continued to worship
21:28demons. They continued to take lives.
21:30They [music] continue to refuse the God
21:33who had given them every chance to turn
21:35back. The seventh trumpet sounded.
21:39Voices in [music] heaven spoke. The
21:41kingdom of the world has become the
21:43kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ.
21:48He will reign forever and ever.
21:54>> The temple in heaven was opened. The ark
21:57of the covenant appeared.
22:00Lightning flashed. Thunder rolled.
22:04There was [music] an earthquake.
22:10Great hail fell from the sky.
22:16The end [music] was approaching.
22:21Another sign appeared [music] in heaven.
22:25Seven angels with [music] seven final
22:27plagues. These would complete God's
22:30wrath. No one could enter the temple
22:33until the seven plagues of the seven
22:35angels were finished. The first bowl was
22:38poured out.
22:42Ugly, painful soores broke out on those
22:45who had the mark of the beast [music]
22:47and who worshiped his image. The soores
22:50were terrible. They covered the bodies
22:53of those who had chosen the beast over
22:55God. They itched and burned. They
22:58blistered and oozed. Nothing healed
23:01them. They were a mark of judgment,
23:05visible to everyone.
23:07Those
23:09who had taken the mark now wore it on
23:11their skin. Those who had worshiped the
23:14beast now suffered his punishment.
23:18The second bowl was poured out.
23:25The sea turned to blood like the blood
23:27of a dead person. Every living thing in
23:31the sea died. Every creature that swam
23:34in the oceans, every fish that swam in
23:37the schools, every whale in the depths,
23:41all of them died.
23:43The sea that had survived the second
23:45trumpet now died completely. The sea
23:48that had turned partially to blood now
23:51turned entirely to blood. The smell of
23:54death filled the air.
23:59The fish that had fed nations now
24:01floated to the surface in billions. No
24:04one could eat from the sea anymore. No
24:07one could sail on the sea anymore. The
24:10great waters that had sustained humanity
24:12for thousands of years were now dead.
24:16The third bowl was poured out.
24:21The rivers and springs turned to blood.
24:26An angel spoke, "You are just, oh holy
24:30one, who is and who was. You have
24:33ordained these things because they shed
24:36the blood of your holy people and your
24:38prophets. The fresh water that had
24:40survived the third trumpet now died
24:43completely.
24:44The rivers that had been poisoned
24:46partially were now poisoned entirely.
24:50The springs that had poisoned some now
24:52affected all. People who had survived
24:55the sores, who had survived the death of
24:58the sea, now died of thirst. They cursed
25:02the God of heaven. They did not repent.
25:09The fourth bowl was poured out.
25:14The sun was given power to scorch people
25:17with fire. The heat was intense. People
25:20were burned by the sun that once warmed
25:22them.
25:23They screamed in agony. Their skin
25:26blistered and peeled.
25:30[panting]
25:30They looked for shade but found none.
25:33[gasps]
25:35They looked for relief but found none.
25:37And still they did not repent. Instead
25:41they cursed the name of God.
25:43>> Abandoned.
25:44>> Hear our cries.
25:46>> They refused to give him glory.
25:51The fifth bowl was poured out.
25:56The throne of the beast was plunged into
25:59darkness.
26:01The kingdom of the one who had deceived
26:03the world was now wrapped in blackness.

26:06People noded their tongues in agony. The
26:10pain was beyond description.
26:12[clears throat] The darkness made it
26:14worse.
26:16>> [panting]
26:18>> They cursed the God of heaven for their
26:20pain.
26:21>> There is nothing only the
26:23>> They did not repent of their deeds.
26:28The sixth bowl was poured out.
26:34The great river Euphrates dried up.
26:39The water that had flowed for thousands
26:41of years was gone. It [music] dried up
26:45and it stayed dry.
26:47This was done to prepare the way for the
26:49kings from the east. Armies could now
26:52cross what had been a barrier. Soldiers
26:55and weapons and equipment moved across
26:57the dry riverbed toward the place of the
27:00final battle. Three unclean spirits came
27:04out of the mouth of the dragon, out of
27:06the mouth of the beast, and out of the
27:08mouth of the false prophet. [music]
27:11They were like frogs. They performed
27:14signs. They gathered the kings of the
27:17whole world for the battle on the great
27:19day of God the [music] Almighty.
27:22The battle was called Armageddon.
27:28The seventh bowl was poured out. A voice
27:31from the temple cried out, [music] "It
27:33is done." Then there were thunder claps
27:36and flashes of lightning and an
27:38earthquake.
27:40No earthquake like this had ever
27:42occurred since humans had lived on the
27:44earth. It was so [music] great that it
27:46split the great city into three parts.
27:49The cities of the nations fell. Every
27:52island vanished. The mountains
27:55disappeared. 100 pound hailstones fell
27:58from the sky. People ran from the hail.
28:01They [music] cursed God for the plague
28:03of hail.
28:06They did not repent. The tribulation had
28:10run its course.
28:13The seals had been opened.
28:17The trumpets had sounded.
28:21The bowls had been poured out.
28:24God's justice had been done.
28:29His wrath had been poured out.
28:34The beast and his kingdom had been
28:36judged. And still many had not repented.
28:42What John saw on Patmos was terrifying.
28:47What he wrote down was a warning.
28:52The judgments were real. The suffering
28:55was real. The end was real. But so was
28:58the God who held the future in his
29:00hands. The lamb who opened the seals was
29:03still on the throne.
29:06The one who had died was still alive.
29:11The judge of all the earth would do what
29:13was right.
29:15The tribulation would end.
29:19A new beginning would come.
29:24And those who had endured, who had kept
29:27the faith, who had refused the mark of
29:29the beast,
29:32they would inherit what had been
29:34prepared for them since the foundation
29:36of the world.
29:50Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands
29:52together for the future president of the
29:54world, Mr. Xander.
30:01For years and years, century after
30:04century, the world has been divided.
30:09But no more, no more division. When I
30:13become your president, we will unify the
30:16world.
30:19Unity means a one world government.
30:23Unity means a one world currency for
30:26maximum economic efficiency and real
30:29transparency.
30:31Unity means a new unified religion where
30:35every faith is one and all people
30:38worship a single deity. a unified higher
30:42power.
30:46So, here's what we're going to do. We're
30:49going to make everything digital so that
30:52we can have a more prosperous economy,
30:55safer, and faster transactions.
30:59So, from today, everybody needs to go
31:02and get their ID chip. It's a simple,
31:05non-invasive, painless chip that will
31:08hold all of your information so you can
31:11conduct your day-to-day business in a
31:13safe and efficient manner.
31:16That means quicker ID verification, more
31:20secure payment transactions, and overall
31:23a more prosperous
31:25>> Look, we need to fight this guy. We need
31:28to be more concerned with surviving than
31:30fighting. What's fighting going to do
31:32for us, brothers? We missed out on the
31:35rapture because we did not put God first
31:37in our lives. Now that we are left
31:39behind, we have no time for anything
31:42other than God. What we need to do is go
31:45underground and preach to those we can
31:48reach.
31:51As the people left behind [music]
31:53became accustomed to the new norm, some
31:56took the disappearance of millions from
31:58the earth to be confirmation the Bible
32:00is true and others dismissed it
32:03altogether. [music] Those who believed
32:06moved underground because the mark was
32:09now being enforced to [music] every
32:10citizen and without it they were unable
32:14to live openly in society without being
32:17persecuted.
32:22Look,
32:24we must make an example of these rebels.
32:28Anyone who refuses to take the mark and
32:30worship our collective God should pay a
32:34heavy price.
32:37We must make an example of these
32:39Christians.
32:41Hunt every last one of them. And just as
32:46the Bible foretold in the book of
32:48Revelation, the beast was given a mouth
32:51that bellowed arrogant boasts and
32:54uttered great blasphemies against God,
32:57and it was permitted to do what it w for
33:0042 months. Its mouth opened with a
33:04stream of insults against God,
33:06blaspheming his name, cursing his
33:09dwelling and those who live in heaven.
33:12Also, it received [music] permission to
33:15declare war against the saints and
33:17conquer them. Not a single nation,
33:20people, language, or ethnicity could
33:23escape its dominion. The inhabitants of
33:26the earth will worship it. That is, all
33:30those whose names have not been recorded
33:33before the foundation of the world in
33:35the book of life of the Lamb who was
33:38slaughtered. and I saw thrones, and they
33:42sat on them, and judgment was committed
33:45to them.
33:47Then I saw the souls of those who had
33:50been beheaded [music] for their witness
33:52to Jesus and for the word of God, who
33:55had not worshiped the beast or his
33:57image, and had not received his [music]
34:00mark on their foreheads or on their
34:02hands. And they lived and reigned with
34:06Christ [music] for a thousand years.
34:08Imagine
34:10this. You're driving down the highway on
34:12a bright morning. The sky is clear. Your
34:15favorite song is playing and traffic is
34:17smooth. Then suddenly, the driver in the
34:20car next to you vanishes. A coffee cup
34:23falls from the hand of an empty suit
34:25jacket. Headlines flash. Confusion
34:28floods the streets. Airports in chaos.
34:31Phones ringing endlessly. Millions gone.
34:35What just happened?
34:38That, my friends, is the question that
34:39has stirred hearts, pulpits, and
34:41seminaries for generations.
34:44The mystery of the rapture of the
34:46church.
34:48Now, in Christian circles, there's been
34:50much debate about this moment. There are
34:53three main perspectives people hold.
34:56Some believers argue that the word
34:58rapture isn't even in the Bible, so how
35:00can such an event be real? Others
35:03believe it will happen after the great
35:04tribulation, that the church will endure
35:07the trials before being taken up. And
35:10still others hold that the rapture will
35:12come before the tribulation when Christ
35:15removes his church before the storm.
35:18Whatever your position may be, one thing
35:20remains almost universally accepted
35:22among believers. A catching away, a
35:25divine snatching up will happen. The
35:28Bible declares that the day of the Lord
35:30will come like a thief in the night. It
35:33says, [music] "In a moment, in the
35:35twinkling of an eye, the dead in Christ
35:37shall rise first, and we who are alive
35:40and remain shall be caught up together
35:42[music] with them." That tells me
35:45something powerful. When Jesus comes to
35:47rapture his church, it will be sudden.
35:50It will be unexpected. [music]
35:52While the world is busy with business as
35:54usual, while people scroll, shop, and
35:57chase entertainment, [music]
35:58while hearts are distracted by the noise
36:00of the present moment, he will return.
36:04And many, [music] many will be caught
36:06off guard when the master appears. It's
36:09not as though we haven't been warned.
36:11From Genesis to Revelation, God has been
36:14sounding the alarm, offering mercy, and
36:16calling [music] his people to be ready.
36:18But the question remains, when that
36:21moment comes, will you be ready? Does
36:25not Revelation 22:12 declare, "Behold, I
36:29am coming quickly." And does not 1
36:32Thessalonians 5:2 remind us, "For you
36:36yourself know perfectly well that the
36:38day of the Lord will come like a thief
36:40in the night."
36:42Church, there should be urgency in our
36:45hearts, urgency in our choices, urgency
36:48in the way we live, because the word of
36:51God carries an urgency about [music] the
36:53soon return of Jesus Christ. It will be
36:57sudden and it will be unexpected.
37:01So, let me [music] ask you, why wait
37:03until the final moment to get ready? Why
37:06gamble with eternity? Wouldn't it be
37:09better to be prepared now? Wouldn't it
37:11be better to live every [music] day as
37:13though it could be the day the trumpet
37:15sounds? Wouldn't it be wiser to stay in
37:18a [music] constant state of readiness so
37:20that when he comes, we'll not be caught
37:23off guard? This is not just my opinion.
37:26It's the command of Christ himself. In
37:30Matthew 24:42
37:32to 44, Jesus says, "Therefore, stay
37:35awake [music]
37:36for you do not know on what day your
37:38Lord is coming. But understand this, if
37:41the master of the house had known in
37:44what part of the night the thief was
37:45[music] coming, he would have stayed
37:47awake and would not have let his house
37:49be broken into. Therefore, [music] you
37:52also must be ready, for the son of man
37:55is coming at an hour you do not expect.
37:59And then the Apostle Paul paints the
38:01picture of that moment in 1
38:03Thessalonians 4 16-17.
38:07For the Lord himself will descend from
38:09heaven with a cry of command, with the
38:12voice of an archangel, and with the
38:14sound of the trumpet of God. And the
38:17[music] dead in Christ will rise first.
38:19Then we who are alive, who remain, shall
38:22be caught up together with [music] them
38:24in the clouds to meet the Lord in the
38:26air. And so we will always be with the
38:29Lord.
38:31What a [music] scene that will be. the
38:34graves opening, the heavens trembling,
38:36the redeemed rising, the son of God
38:40returning in [music] glory. This passage
38:42shows us how he will come. But the
38:45greater question for us today is when?
38:49How do we know that his [music] coming
38:50is near? What are the signs to watch
38:53for? And perhaps most importantly, what
38:56does it mean [music] to be ready?
38:59Because readiness is not just about
39:01waiting. It's about living, living holy,
39:05living alert, living expectant [music]
39:07because every sunrise could be the last
39:10before we see his [music] face.
39:13Now, another aspect to all of this is
39:16the warning that Apostle Paul tells us,
39:18[music] which is to look out for a
39:19figure that will appear in the end times
39:22called the antichrist.
39:24Second Thessalonians, Paul tells us that
39:27the [music] day of the Lord would not
39:29come until this Antichrist figure
39:31appears. This [music] figure will claim
39:34to be God. This figure will stand for
39:37the devil and he will lead the world in
39:39deception. The Antichrist will work
39:42signs and wonders so that he can woo
39:45people and entice them. However, the
39:47Lord told us that if we see such a
39:50person claiming to be the Messiah or
39:52Christ, we should not believe them.
39:56Matthew 24:42.
39:59Therefore, keep watch because you do not
40:03know on what day your Lord will come.
40:06The point that the Lord is making here
40:08is that we should not wait on any signs
40:11in order to get ready. His point [music]
40:14is that we should be ready all the time.
40:16We should be prepared all the time. We
40:20are to be ready to live ready because
40:22[music] we just don't know the time of
40:24his return. Therefore, the best way to
40:27prepare is to simply be ready all the
40:30time. In short, [music] we must live as
40:33if Jesus is coming today. And that means
40:36we should rethink how we spend our time.
40:39Are we using our time reading and
40:40spreading the word of God? Or are we
40:43drowning our time in entertainment? Are
40:45we using our time serving others and
40:48fulfilling Christ's commands? Or are we
40:51using our time to tearing other people
40:53down and dividing others? Are we using
40:56the time that we have now to seek and
40:58[music] chase after the Lord's presence?
41:01Are we hungry to get closer to God and
41:04spend more time with him? Or are we
41:07spending our [music] time getting close
41:08to everyone but God? Let us not wait for
41:12signs and wonders to prepare for the
41:14coming of the Lord. Because [music] if
41:16we wait until the last minute, many of
41:19us will be caught off guard. We'll be
41:21caught unprepared. And I'm sure that no
41:24believer wants [music] to be left behind
41:26when Christ comes for his church. Now, I
41:30don't know about you, but I don't want
41:32to be left behind. I would rather be
41:34caught up with Christ in the clouds than
41:37to be caught up in the [music] world. I
41:39want to be caught up in the heavens
41:41rather than being caught up in frivolous
41:43entertainment. I would rather be caught
41:46up in the word of God rather than being
41:48caught up in things that don't matter. I
41:51want to be caught up in the kingdom of
41:53God. And I encourage you to shift your
41:56perspective.
41:58Chase [music] what's eternal. Chase
42:00what's godly. The signs are good to know
42:03[music] what's coming, but let's not
42:05wait on them to prepare for Christ's
42:07coming.
42:08If you knew that a thief was coming to
42:10your home tonight, wouldn't you prepare?
42:13Wouldn't you make the necessary changes
42:15and adjustments [music]
42:16to remain safe? Well, the Lord's coming
42:20will be like a thief. And if it's just
42:22like a thief, shouldn't we make the
42:25necessary changes and adjustments? The
42:28[music] Lord is coming soon, it's time
42:31for us to act like it. When it comes
42:33[music] to your private life, act like
42:36you know the Lord is coming soon. When
42:38it comes to tolerating sin, act like you
42:41know Jesus is coming back soon. This is
42:44how we ought to live our lives. Let us
42:47not be left [music] behind.
42:50Be ready.
42:53Is this the scariest prophecy in the end
42:56time? In the book of Revelation, the
42:59Lord opened John's eyes to many
43:01activities that would happen at the end
43:03of the age.
43:05Some of the key events [music] are that
43:07there will be a change in society and
43:09world affairs. And this dramatic change
43:13will mark the reign of the antichrist
43:16and the deadly events that would take
43:18place during the tribulation period.
43:21Now, to the unbeliever,
43:24most of these endtime prophecies are
43:26terrifying, confusing, and some may even
43:29find them hard to believe. But if the
43:33purpose of end time biblical prophecy is
43:35not [music] to scare us, but to inspire
43:39us to live for Christ, then we should
43:42look at some of these apocalyptic
43:44endtime [music] Bible prophecies as
43:46warnings.
43:47And I believe that we can find what is
43:50arguably the biggest warning concerning
43:52end time Bible prophecy in Revelation 9.
43:57By the time [music] we get to Revelation
43:599, we are in the tribulation period on
44:01Earth. The Antichrist is in power. The
44:05beast system is in place. No one is able
44:09to buy or to sell without having the
44:12mark of the beast, which is [music] 666.
44:17And by the time we get to Revelation 9,
44:20the world is under the seven trumpet
44:22judgments of God. And this is where we
44:25land on the sixth trumpet judgment,
44:28which is perhaps the most serious
44:30warning to every living person who is
44:32not living right with Christ.
44:35Revelation 9:13-14
44:37says, "The sixth angel sounded his
44:40trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from
44:43the four horns of the golden altar that
44:45is before God. It said to the sixth
44:48angel who had the trumpet, release the
44:50four angels who are bound at the great
44:52river Euphrates."
44:55I want you to know that it would be a
44:57living nightmare to be [music] alive to
44:59witness this judgment of God. If you
45:03think that the great Genesis flood was
45:05bad, this will be much worse. If you
45:08think the destruction of Sodom and
45:10Gomorrah was bad, let me tell you that
45:13it pales in comparison to what awaits
45:15the earth when these four angels are
45:17[music] released.
45:19But before we go into more detail about
45:21these angels, the first question that
45:24may come to mind is which Euphrates
45:27River? Could it be the one we all know
45:30in Asia? Or is there another?
45:33Yes, this is the same river Euphrates we
45:36know today. This opens a new light in
45:39the end time prophecies.
45:41Who are these four angels? And why were
45:44they in chains? Were they archangels
45:47that rebelled along with Lucifer? Are
45:50they angels of Satan? Besides this, what
45:53is their mission at such a crucial time
45:55in the world?
45:57Well, when you think of angels, [music]
46:00what comes to your mind? Some muscular
46:03and powerful beings, right? God's
46:06servants.
46:08We think of Michael and the archangel of
46:11war, a supernatural being who serves as
46:14the leader of the heavenly army of God.
46:17When we think of angels, a lot of us
46:19refer to the story in the Old Testament
46:21when Daniel prayed and God delivered the
46:24answers through an angel. However, the
46:27angel informs Daniel that the prince of
46:29Persia fought with him in an attempt to
46:31block Daniel's answer from God. And so,
46:35to defeat this evil dark force, a more
46:38[music] powerful celestial being,
46:41Michael the Archangel came and delivered
46:44him so that God's answer would reach
46:46Daniel.
46:48When we think of angels, we think of
46:51angel Gabriel who appeared to Zachariah
46:54and even Mary, the mother of Jesus. We
46:57even recall the incident where before
46:59the destruction of Jericho, the Bible
47:01tells us that Joshua saw a man standing
47:04before him with his drawn sword in hand.
47:07The man told Joshua, "I have come as a
47:10commander of the Lord's army."
47:13So historically, we have seen plenty of
47:16instances where God's angels have shown
47:19up for a specific assignment.
47:22However, back in Revelation chapter 9,
47:26the Bible mentions these mysterious
47:28angels as bound in the Euphrates River.
47:31These are not God's angels. God's angels
47:35are free. God's angels carry out God's
47:38will. The angels in the Euphrates, these
47:42are evil angels.
47:45But how did they come into existence?
47:48Did God create them separately?
47:50No. Their existence began the day
47:53Lucifer rebelled against God. According
47:56to the scriptures in Revelation [music]
47:5812, he didn't rebel alone. He was able
48:01to convince a number of angels. And when
48:04angel Michael won the battle, [music]
48:06God thrust Lucifer and his angels into
48:09the earth. This marked the inception of
48:13evil on [music] the earth. Meaning they
48:16have been chained since then until now.
48:19But the frightening part for those who
48:21are not in Christ is that these ancient
48:24evil angels will be involved in the end
48:26times.
48:28Now you will be forgiven to ask why the
48:31Euphrates River? [music] Why did God
48:33bound them in there? God must have bound
48:37them for a reason. To understand what
48:40they've done, [music] let's study their
48:41location. The Euphrates River. According
48:45to the scriptures, this region has many
48:47recorded sins.
48:50It was one of the rivers that flowed
48:51through Eden. That means that means
48:53[music] it can't be far from where Cain
48:55committed the first murder. Then Nimrod
48:59began his kingdom near the region
49:00[music] as recorded in Genesis 10. This
49:04was the same man who instigated the
49:06building of the Tower of Babel. However,
49:09God saw his heart and scattered their
49:11language, thereby signifying the end of
49:14the building. Although no one knows the
49:17exact origin of these four angels,
49:19although no one knows the true extent of
49:21their crimes, we can make a reasonable
49:25assumption that these angels must be
49:28very powerful and evil and aggressive in
49:31nature. If not, God wouldn't have bound
49:34them under the river.
49:36This assumption is ported by the book of
49:38Ephesians because in chapter 6:12
49:42we are told that we wrestle not against
49:44flesh and blood [music] but spiritual
49:46forces of evil in the heavenly realm.
49:50These forces spoken of are demons. But
49:53God [music] didn't bind them. So for God
49:57to bind these four specific angels, that
50:01signifies an entire different level of
50:03wickedness that they are capable of,
50:06they must be a lot more fierce than the
50:09average demon. And so in Revelation 9,
50:13these four angels appeared on the
50:14surface of the earth, having been
50:16released by God as a part of his
50:18judgment to all those who are wicked and
50:20[music] unrepentant.
50:22The release of all these angels will be
50:25catastrophic for those who will be alive
50:27at the time. To make matters worse,
50:30these four angels are not just four
50:32single angels. Each of them has alleions
50:36of other terrible angels.
50:38According to Revelation 9:16,
50:42their number will be twice 10,000*
50:4410,000. That is 200 million angels.
50:49This is essentially an evil army. John
50:53tells us that their [music] breastplates
50:54were fiery red, dark blue, and yellow as
50:58sulfur. The heads of their horses were
51:01like those of lions, and their breath
51:03was fire, smoke, [music] and sulfur. He
51:07described their tails as looking like
51:09snakes.
51:11And so, what will be their actual
51:13objective or mission? What will they do
51:16when they are no longer bound and they
51:18are released from the Euphrates?
51:20Well, look at these two verses.
51:22Revelation 9 verse1 15 says, "And the
51:26four angels who had been kept ready for
51:28this very hour and day and month and
51:31year were released to kill a third of
51:33mankind."
51:35It's important to note that the
51:36appearance of these angels is not happen
51:39stance. These angels have been prepared
51:42for an appointed hour and day and month
51:45[music] and year. The passage of
51:48scripture that sheds light as to what
51:50their objective is [music] is Revelation
51:529:1 17 and 18, which says, "The horses
51:56and riders I saw in my vision looked
51:59like this. Their breastplates were fiery
52:02red, dark blue, and yellow as sulfur.
52:05[music]
52:06The heads of the horses resembled the
52:08heads of lions, and out of their mouths
52:11came fire, smoke, and sulfur. A third of
52:15mankind was killed by three plagues of
52:17fire, smoke, and sulfur that came out of
52:20their mouths.
52:22So, the Bible is essentially telling us
52:24that these four angels and their army
52:27have been prepared for a time when they
52:29will destroy onethird of humanity.
52:33Today the world's estimated population
52:35is close to 8.1 billion.
52:38Imagine if 1/3 of this great number dies
52:41[music] in succession. That would be
52:43around 2.7 billion people.
52:46There are 195 countries in the world.
52:49Let's assume that these angels would
52:50slaughter the same number of humans from
52:52each country. That means each country
52:55would lose close to 14 million humans.
52:58And this is only applicable to those
53:00countries that have a population of 14
53:02million or more. For countries less than
53:05this, these demonic angels may certainly
53:08exterminate them. Calling this a massive
53:11destruction would be an understatement.
53:15Can you imagine the chaos that will
53:17envelop the earth? Then all mankind on
53:20this earth will be in fear. So this begs
53:23the question, is this perhaps [music]
53:26the worst judgment on sinners in the end
53:29times?
53:30Some might [music] scorn this prophecy.
53:33That is normal. Not everyone will
53:35believe it until the final destruction.
53:38The scriptures record stories of how God
53:40dealt with sinners, but none is as awful
53:43as what will happen in the end time. But
53:46that wouldn't [music] stop God. If he
53:49could wipe off the entire human race in
53:51the days of Noah, eliminating one-third
53:54of humanity due to wickedness, would it
53:56not be out of the question? Instead, it
53:59should serve as a warning that this
54:01event will inevitably happen. According
54:04to the book of Genesis [music] 6, God
54:06looked at the earth and saw the
54:08wickedness of men. Their thoughts and
54:11ways of life were terrible. God blamed
54:14himself for creating humans. To stop
54:17this evil, he decided to destroy that
54:20generation. But one man found favor in
54:23God's [music] eyes, and that was Noah.
54:26Another story of God's judgment on
54:28sinners ensued in Genesis 18 [music] and
54:3119.
54:33This was the story of Sodom and
54:35Gomorrah. This time [music] around, it
54:37was the cry of their iniquity that got
54:39to God. This land was so sinful that God
54:43couldn't get 10 righteous men.
54:46We knew this through Abraham's
54:48negotiations with him. God rained down
54:51fire on [music] Sodom and Gomorrah. In
54:53the twinkle of an eye, the whole land
54:56was in smoke and ashes.
54:58How about the way God dealt with the
55:00Egyptians through the 10 plagues? The
55:02last is the most gruesome. After
55:05ordering an angel of death to kill all
55:07the Egyptians first sons, God buried the
55:10Egyptian chariots in the Red Sea. All
55:13these are scriptural instances of where
55:15God punished sinners. However, all these
55:19pale [music] compared to what the four
55:20angels of the Euphrates would do on
55:22earth. They would destroy onethird of
55:26the earth.
55:28What would you expect the rest of the
55:30world to do? Repent? Far from [music]
55:34it. Revelation 9 20-21 says, "The rest
55:39of mankind who were not killed by these
55:41plagues still did not repent the work of
55:44their hands. They did not stop
55:46worshiping demons and idols of gold,
55:49silver, bronze, stone, and wood. Idols
55:52that cannot see or hear or walk. Nor did
55:55they repent of their murders, their
55:57magic arts, their sexual immorality, or
56:00their [music] thefts. This is the
56:02distressing part. How could they not
56:05repent after witnessing such an event?
56:08That's human nature. We hardly learn
56:11from what we see until it hits our skin.
56:15Now, what is your take on this message?
56:18Examine your life right now. What do you
56:21need to change? Are you living in sin?
56:26Repent and save yourself from the coming
56:28destruction.
56:30In the end times, there will be many
56:32signs and wonders that we will see on
56:35earth. Matthew 24:4 [music]
56:38says this, for false Christs and false
56:41prophets [music] will rise and show
56:43great signs and wonders to deceive, if
56:46possible, even the elect.
56:49A different Bible translation paints a
56:51[music] more descriptive picture of this
56:52and says, "If anyone tries to flag you
56:55down, calling out, here's the Messiah,"
56:58or points, "There he is," don't fall for
57:01it. Fake messiahs and lying preachers
57:04are going to pop up everywhere. Their
57:06impressive credentials [music] and
57:08bewitching performances will pull the
57:10wool over the eyes of even those who
57:12ought to know better. But I've given you
57:14fair warning. Jesus himself gave us the
57:17warning that there will be many false
57:19Christs. Note how it's plural and false
57:22prophets. Again, plural. Many of them
57:26will rise and gain notoriety because
57:28they will be able to perform great signs
57:30and wonders. And here's the thing that
57:32should get your attention. Jesus says
57:35they will deceive, if possible, even the
57:38elect. Even those who we may have
57:41thought to be strong Christians are in
57:43danger of deception if they are not
57:45careful. Now for a moment I want you to
57:48think about this.
57:49Why would Jesus warn us in such detail?
57:53Why would he tell us that when these
57:54false prophets come they will perform
57:57great signs and wonders?
57:59Well, here's why. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15
58:04says, "For such are false apostles,
58:08deceitful workers, transforming
58:10themselves into apostles of Christ. And
58:13no wonder, for Satan himself transforms
58:16himself into an angel of light.
58:18Therefore, it is no great thing if his
58:21ministers also transform themselves into
58:23ministers of righteousness, whose end
58:25will be according to their works."
58:28Satan can transform into an angel of
58:30light so that he can trick and deceive.
58:34This means that Satan will come with
58:36something that appears to be good but
58:38beneath the surface [music] it is taking
58:40you away from God. Here are three
58:43examples in real world situations.
58:45Number one, Satan can be the influential
58:48force behind a quote unquote Christian
58:51worship group. And so you will have a
58:53talented group of singers who are
58:55[music] brilliant performers, great
58:57vocalists, but their lives will not
58:59reflect the gospel they are singing. In
59:01fact, these people will model sinful
59:03behavior as though it is acceptable
59:05before God. This is how Satan transforms
59:08himself into [music] an angel of light.
59:11Number two, Satan can open doors. Doors
59:15that appear to be blessings, but they
59:17are detrimental to you. Do you remember
59:20when Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40
59:22nights? The devil took Jesus to the peak
59:25of a very high mountain and showed him
59:27all the kingdoms of the world and their
59:29glory. Now, do you remember what Satan
59:32said? He said to Jesus, "I will give it
59:35all to you if you will kneel down and
59:37worship me." You cannot give what you
59:40are not in possession of. For Satan to
59:43offer Jesus the kingdoms of this world,
59:45it means he has some capacity to give
59:47you fame, money, status, or whatever
59:50worldly thing you desire. But it comes
59:53at a [music] cost. Your soul. And so you
59:57see the devil can open doors in your
59:59life that look like blessings, but they
1:00:01are strategic soul destroying schemes.
1:00:04That business can take off and it
1:00:06becomes your idol. That dream can become
1:00:09such a strong obsession. So much so that
1:00:12nothing else matters. And soon enough,
1:00:15you're so preoccupied with this blessing
1:00:17that you no longer have time to read the
1:00:20Bible, pray, or for fellowship with God.
1:00:24The third and final example is to do
1:00:26with people. Satan can and does plant
1:00:29people in your life. People who are no
1:00:32good, people with evil [music]
1:00:34intentions. Remember what Delilah did to
1:00:37Samson? Delilah was someone who was
1:00:39planted by [music] the devil to seduce
1:00:41and destroy Samson. A young man or woman
1:00:44building their life, working on their
1:00:46career, and dating with the desire of
1:00:48getting married, they have to be careful
1:00:50because the devil can send someone your
1:00:52way who will only want physical intimacy
1:00:55without the commitment of marriage. So,
1:00:58the devil can present you with something
1:00:59that appears to be good, but underneath
1:01:01the surface, that something is poison.
1:01:05Now, let's dive in a little deeper as to
1:01:08why Jesus went to great lengths to tell
1:01:10us that false Christs and false prophets
1:01:12will rise and show great signs and
1:01:14wonders to deceive, if possible, even
1:01:17the elect. I believe in the last days,
1:01:21people who will be used of the devil
1:01:23will have the ability to do supernatural
1:01:25things, not for the glory of God, but
1:01:28for financial gain, for entertainment,
1:01:31and for fame. You'll see people being
1:01:34healed and it will be convincing. Hence
1:01:36why even the elect, if possible, will be
1:01:39deceived. But when you step back and
1:01:42look at the bigger picture, you will see
1:01:44that even though a miraculous healing
1:01:46will take place, the name of the Lord is
1:01:49not glorified, but instead it's some
1:01:51person who wants the accolades. This is
1:01:53why the Bible tells us to test the
1:01:55spirits. Now, the devil has a track
1:01:58record of performing deceptive signs and
1:02:00wonders. If you'll remember in the book
1:02:02of Exodus, Aaron threw down his staff
1:02:05before Pharaoh and his officials, and it
1:02:07became a serpent. Pharaoh called in his
1:02:10own wise men and sorcerers, and these
1:02:12Egyptian magicians did the same thing
1:02:14with their magic. They threw down their
1:02:17staffs, which also became serpents. But
1:02:19then Aaron's staffs swallowed up their
1:02:21staffs.
1:02:23These are signs and wonders. Now, look
1:02:26at it this way. How many people believe
1:02:28in magic in this day and age? How many
1:02:31people believe magic is harmless or even
1:02:33powerless? How many people think there's
1:02:36nothing evil about magic? It's just a
1:02:38movie. It's just for show. A bunch of
1:02:41tricks. Well, there's an incident that
1:02:44happened in Acts 19. God gave Paul the
1:02:47Apostle the power to perform unusual
1:02:50miracles. Handkerchiefs that had merely
1:02:52touched his skin were placed on sick
1:02:54people, and they were healed of their
1:02:56diseases, and evil spirits were
1:02:58expelled.
1:02:59A group of young men tried to imitate
1:03:01Paul and cast out evil spirits. But they
1:03:04came across a demon-possessed man who
1:03:06said to them, "I know Jesus and I know
1:03:09Paul, but who are you?" This man who was
1:03:12demon-possessed then leaped on the group
1:03:14of imitators and overpowered them and
1:03:16attacked them with such violence that
1:03:18they fled from the house battered. Now
1:03:21when this story got around in the city,
1:03:23a solemn fear descended on the city and
1:03:26the name of the Lord Jesus was greatly
1:03:28honored. This led to people repenting.
1:03:31And here's what happened. Acts 19 18-19
1:03:35says, "And many who had believed came
1:03:38confessing and telling their deeds.
1:03:40Also, many of those who had practiced
1:03:42magic brought their books together and
1:03:44burned them in the sight of all, and
1:03:46they counted up the value of them, and
1:03:48it totaled [music] 50,000 pieces of
1:03:51silver.
1:03:52If magic was prevalent in that day and
1:03:55age, do you know how widespread the
1:03:57practice of magic is in this day and
1:03:59age? But one thing that is unmistakably
1:04:02clear, once people heard the gospel of
1:04:04Jesus Christ, they realized that the
1:04:06magic arts they had practiced were in
1:04:09fact evil practices. And so how many of
1:04:12us accept the use of magic? How many of
1:04:15us tolerate the practice of magic in
1:04:17society today? There are many things
1:04:20that people widely accept in society
1:04:22today without really understanding the
1:04:24spiritual force, motive, and intention
1:04:27behind that. In Acts chapter 8, we're
1:04:29told another story. There was a man
1:04:32named Simon who had previously practiced
1:04:34magic in the city and amazed the people
1:04:36of Samaria, claiming that he was someone
1:04:39great. This man became the talk of the
1:04:42town and everyone paid attention to him
1:04:44from the [music] least to the greatest,
1:04:46saying, "This man is the power of God

1:04:51attention to him because for a long time
1:04:53he had amazed them with his magic. The
1:04:56Bible is clear that he practiced magic.
1:04:58He was an unbeliever.
1:05:01But when they heard a real man of God
1:05:02preach, everything changed. As Philip
1:05:05preached the good news about the kingdom
1:05:07of God and the name of Jesus Christ,
1:05:09people in that city were baptized, both
1:05:12men and women. Even Simon himself
1:05:15believed. And after being baptized, he
1:05:17continued with Philillip. And seeing
1:05:19signs and great miracles performed, he
1:05:22was amazed.
1:05:23In this story, it's clear that [music]
1:05:25before people had heard the gospel of
1:05:27Jesus Christ and repented, people saw
1:05:29the magic tricks, people saw the signs
1:05:32and wonders from this man called Simon.
1:05:34And they were mystified and dazzled with
1:05:36his magic. But for all his tricks, for
1:05:40all of his magic, there was no Jesus
1:05:42being preached. There was no Jesus being
1:05:45given glory and honor. Yet, people still
1:05:48thought he was a man of God.
1:05:50Do you see why there is such a need for
1:05:52discernment? Do you see why we should
1:05:54never simply associate God with signs
1:05:56and wonders? The devil can perform signs
1:05:59and wonders, too. Because in 2
1:06:02Thessalonians 2:9, the Bible says, "The
1:06:05coming of the lawless one is according
1:06:07to the work of Satan with all power,
1:06:10signs, and lying wonders." In the last
1:06:13[music] days, the Antichrist will
1:06:15perform lying wonders. False prophets
1:06:18will perform lying wonders. [music] And
1:06:20we need to be so filled with the spirit
1:06:22of the Lord that we are not moved by
1:06:24what we see alone. When it is truly a
1:06:27work of God, then he gets the glory and
1:06:31honor. When it is truly the work of God,
1:06:34then his word is involved. When it is
1:06:37truly the work of God, then the Holy
1:06:39Spirit is involved. And the end result
1:06:42is that you and I will praise God, not a
1:06:45magician or pastor or person. The Bible
1:06:48says in Galatians 5 19 to 21, "Now the
1:06:52works of the flesh are evident. Sexual
1:06:54immorality, impurity, sensuality,
1:06:58idolatry, sorcery, sorcery is the
1:07:01practice of magic." And the verse
1:07:03continues to say enmity, strife,
1:07:06jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries,
1:07:10dissensions, divisions, envy,
1:07:13drunkenness, orgies, and things like
1:07:15these. I warn you, as I warned you
1:07:18before, that those who do such things
1:07:21will not inherit the kingdom of God.
1:07:24I urge you to keep yourselves pure.
