The Best Pixel Surf Guide on Youtube (polished jb & lj) — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00Hey guys, welcome to the Pixel Surf
- 0:02video. This isn't my usual style of
- 0:04content, and I'm I'm not going to take
- 0:05the channel this way, but I felt the
- 0:07need to put out a really good Pixel Surf
- 0:10guide. Now, this is separate from the
- 0:11whole movement guide series. This is a
- 0:13one-off thing. So, this video, I'm going
- 0:15to show you how to install the pixel
- 0:17surf config and everything you need in
- 0:19order to hit pixel surfs in game,
- 0:21including a couple of good pixel surf
- 0:23spots as you're watching right now. If
- 0:25this is the first video of mine that
- 0:27you're seeing, I do make a movement
- 0:28guide series getting into everything
- 0:30about movement that you guys want to
- 0:31know. So, I put out an extremely
- 0:33simplified version of both Voids and
- 0:36Trips Pixel Surf Configs. Now, don't get
- 0:39me wrong, they both make highquality
- 0:41content and high-quality configs, but
- 0:43it's not the best for someone who's just
- 0:45getting into Pixel Surf and they have
- 0:47absolutely no idea what they're doing or
- 0:49how to set it up. They really have to
- 0:51get their content out much faster than I
- 0:53do. They have large communities of
- 0:55people waiting for the new config. Me, I
- 0:58get to take my time. All right, let's go
- 1:01ahead and get into it.
- 1:05I'm going to try and keep this as clear
- 1:07and concise as I possibly can. The first
- 1:09thing you need to do is join the
- 1:11Discord. Go into config and download
- 1:13PGMconfig 21.Ar.
- 1:17Now, from there, open up the RAR file,
- 1:20and you're going to see three folders:
- 1:21movement, autoexec, and pixels 2.cfg.
- 1:24Now, we're going to have to do small
- 1:26stuff through a couple of these. I'm
- 1:27going to show you how to do this, and
- 1:28then I'm going to show you how it works.
- 1:30The first thing you got to do is go into
- 1:32pixels 2.cfg. Try not to touch any of
- 1:35this. Now, this config is taken from
- 1:38both trip and void. It's based off of
- 1:40this guy right here. Now, I've spent the
- 1:43better part of seven hours not only
- 1:45making it look good, but making it work
- 1:47better and making it easier for you to
- 1:49use. Now, the first thing we want to do
- 1:50is come way down here. In this entire
- 1:53config, the only thing you want to
- 1:56change on this autoexec is these sets of
- 1:58numbers here, here, here, here, [music]
- 2:02and here. These four sets of numbers are
- 2:05based off of your sensitivity. So,
- 2:07depending on what sense you're running,
- 2:08these are going to change. Now, I've
- 2:10made it extremely easy to get these
- 2:12numbers. To get those numbers, what you
- 2:14want to do is go back into the Discord
- 2:16and go to CS2 Pixel Surf Sensitivity
- 2:19Converter. This link will also be in the
- 2:21description. This is my website. I made
- 2:23this website to make it really easy for
- 2:25you guys to get your sensitivity
- 2:27numbers. Um, the base config is for my
- 2:31sensitivity, 0.69. All you have to do is
- 2:34put your sensitivity in here. Let's say
- 2:36you run a 1.23 sensitivity. Hit convert.
- 2:40And these are the numbers you're going
- 2:41to want to put in. Now, you could ignore
- 2:43yaw and 1 minus one. The only number you
- 2:45need is this right here. So, this is in
- 2:48order. 90 right, 90 left, 0, and 180. 90
- 2:53right. Copy this. Go back into the auto
- 2:56exec. And the first one, 90 right. This
- 2:59is the number you want to change.
- 3:015932.
- 3:03Copy that. Paste the new number into
- 3:05here. And do the same for all of these.
- 3:07Copy this number. Open up the auto exec.
- 3:10Paste it under 90 left.
- 3:16There we go. Do the same for all four
- 3:18numbers. And just go ahead and save it.
- 3:19Now, the only other thing we need to
- 3:22change in this config is right down
- 3:25here. User settings, bind key plus
- 3:29align. Now, what this does, in order to
- 3:31hit a pixel surf, you need to be
- 3:33perfectly aligned. assuming you're next
- 3:35to somewhere you can pixel surf, which I
- 3:37will get into. [music] You need to be
- 3:38perfectly aligned with that object. A
- 3:41lot of us run 60% keyboards. There is a
- 3:43way to get this on arrow keys. It's just
- 3:45much more straightforward and easier on
- 3:47the config to do it like this. This key
- 3:50you want to change to whatever key. And
- 3:52while holding that key, if you hit W, A,
- 3:55S, or D, it will align you in those four
- 3:57directions. I'll show that later, but
- 3:59for example purposes, let's do align P
- 4:01plus align. and we'll go ahead and save
- 4:04it. Lastly, you want to go into the
- 4:07autoexec.cfg. Now, this autoexec, I have
- 4:09long jump binds, jump bug binds, and the
- 4:12better b hop binds. Now, in trips
- 4:14config, his plus jump minus jump binds
- 4:16are good for multi-input binds. They're
- 4:18not good for b hops. This is the b hop
- 4:21bind. Now, I will be putting all of this
- 4:25and the binds and of course the exec
- 4:28pixel surf 2 into the discord. You don't
- 4:31have to download this autoexec. This is
- 4:33not a necessity. Uh keep your auto exec.
- 4:36The only thing you have to do is copy
- 4:38all of this. Copy this and copy this
- 4:42which will be in the discord. To get
- 4:44your jump bug and long jump binds,
- 4:46you'll see bind key, bind key. Bind
- 4:49these to whatever you want your binds to
- 4:51be. I use L, I use O. And then go ahead,
- 4:54save this file and we'll move on.
- 4:57That is all we have to do for the
- 5:00config. Next, we go into Steam,
- 5:03rightclick Counterstrike 2, go to
- 5:05manage, browse local files.
- 5:09From here, we go game
- 5:12CS:GO,
- 5:14CFG, and this is where you want to be.
- 5:17Now, I already have my autoexc, my
- 5:19movement folder, and my pixel folder.
- 5:21All you want to do with this is drag all
- 5:24three of these things and drop them
- 5:26right over here. Don't remove anything
- 5:29from the movement folder into this
- 5:32config folder. Everything goes in just
- 5:34like this.
- 5:36This last part is very, very important.
- 5:38Go back into the Discord. This whole
- 5:41line right here, this test script, test
- 5:43run, CS GO, this whole line right here.
- 5:45Copy this line. Go into Steam. Right
- 5:49click Counterstrike 2. go into
- 5:51properties and where it says launch
- 5:53options, paste all of that into the
- 5:55launch options. None of this will work.
- 5:57Your game will not launch unless you put
- 6:00this into the launch options. From here,
- 6:02we can X out of this and go ahead and
- 6:04start the game. So, in the game, let's
- 6:07now make sure that our binds work. Hold
- 6:10the key you set the align bind to. Hold
- 6:13down that key and hit W, let go. Hold it
- 6:17down again, hit A, let go. Hold it down.
- 6:19S, let go. Hold it down. D, let go. If
- 6:23it's aligning you in the four
- 6:24directions, you got it right. If it is
- 6:27off, if it is aligning you like here,
- 6:29here, here, you messed up the
- 6:31sensitivity. Go back into the sense
- 6:33converter. Make sure you not only put
- 6:34your correct sensitivity into the sense
- 6:36converter, but you copied the full
- 6:38sensitivity that it spat out, and make
- 6:41sure you did all of that right, make
- 6:42sure you paste it into the config,
- 6:44right? If you're still having problems,
- 6:45shoot a text in the Discord. either me
- 6:47or somebody else will help you. All
- 6:49right, so how to do the pixel surf. The
- 6:52first pixel surf we're going to try is
- 6:53this one right here. I will mention this
- 6:55config is only for right-facing pixel
- 6:58surfs. It was too much to have it switch
- 7:00to left and right through your console
- 7:01commands and put that in the config and
- 7:04it was it was too much. All right, most
- 7:07pixel surfs on Nuke and on other maps
- 7:10too are rightfacing pixel surfs. If you
- 7:12want a left- facing one, download trips
- 7:15config and figure it out. You got it.
- 7:18Anyways, first pixel surfer going to try
- 7:20this one right here. Starting nuke ct
- 7:22spawn getting up on this railing. If you
- 7:24want to see all of this info in your
- 7:25console, do show pause one. So, it's CL
- 7:29show one. To do the pixel surf, get up
- 7:32onto here, hold your align bind, and hit
- 7:35D. You will get perfectly aligned on
- 7:37this wall. Your position needs to be
- 7:39within 0.5. Now, if I'm, as you see, if
- 7:42I turn left and right, that number
- 7:43changes when I align. 90.05.
- 7:47From here, run forward, jump, let go of
- 7:51W, and you should hit a pixel surf.
- 7:57Now, that was the weirder pixel surf.
- 7:59You're surfing off of this versus the
- 8:00railing. These are kind of finicky.
- 8:03You're not going to get them every time.
- 8:04There's no guarantee for them. Are they
- 8:06fairly consistent? Yeah, but there's
- 8:08nothing guaranteed.
- 8:12Now, I would like to mention when on the
- 8:14pixel surf, you don't have to move your
- 8:16mouse. I do it because I think it lets
- 8:19me stay on a little longer. That could
- 8:21be completely placebo, but not only
- 8:23that, I think it looks a little better.
- 8:25If I'm going pixel surfing and I turn
- 8:27into it, I like how that looks. One more
- 8:30time. Get up onto the wall, hold your
- 8:33align bind, hit D, run forward, jump,
- 8:36let go W, and you hit your pixel surf.
- 8:39Let me show you some other pixel serfs.
- 8:41The first one I want to go to is this
- 8:42one here. This is probably the easiest
- 8:44one you're going to hit. Get up onto the
- 8:45side of this vent here. Hold your bind.
- 8:47This one is also D cuz we're still
- 8:49facing the same direction. Hold the
- 8:51bind. Hit D.
- 8:53Run forward. Jump. Pixel serve. Very
- 8:56easy. Let's go again. Get up on here.
- 8:59Hold the bind. Hit D. Run forward. Jump.
- 9:02You hit the pixel serve.
- 9:05Let's move to this one. Hold your bind.
- 9:07Hit S as we're facing a different
- 9:10direction. Hit S, walk forward a little
- 9:12bit, jump, hit your pixel surf. There's
- 9:16a bunch of different pixel surfs around
- 9:17the map. It's not like it used to be
- 9:19where you could uh hit them anywhere you
- 9:21wanted. There was little stuff sticking
- 9:22out. You There's not You can't do that
- 9:24anymore, but we do have a couple of
- 9:27spots. This one up here, this one's a
- 9:30bit more difficult. Now, this one
- 9:32doesn't work well on the bind. Get up
- 9:34here, hit S. Now, you'll notice you're
- 9:36at $179.95.
- 9:38If we look at the top here, $179.95.
- 9:42You need to be at negative $179.95. So,
- 9:45move your mouse to the left a little bit
- 9:47to get $179.99
- 9:49will do. Now, from here, you can just
- 9:51walk forward, jump, and hit your pixel
- 9:54surf. Speed does somewhat matter on
- 9:56these pixel surfs, right? It's not like
- 9:59it used to be in CS:GO where you can
- 10:00just jump up here with no speed and
- 10:02pixel surf down. Speed does matter. This
- 10:05Pixel Surf hits best from 190 to 225
- 10:09speed. It will hit a little higher, a
- 10:11little lower, especially a little
- 10:12higher. You'll have no problems hitting
- 10:14it at full speed, but you're going to
- 10:16start to have some problems getting
- 10:17under 160, 170. Last thing,
- 10:23sometimes you will get a bug where if
- 10:25you let go of the bind before you let go
- 10:27of the key, the key will stick. You just
- 10:30have to leave and come back. Try to let
- 10:33go of your bind before you let go of
- 10:35wud.
