  2. 0:02this is one of the sickest things ever
  3. 0:05to appear on US television it should be
  4. 0:07studied in journalism schools this is TV
  5. 0:10journalism in the u.s. good thing we
  6. 0:12don't have government controlled media
  7. 0:14in this country
  8. 0:15ladies and gentlemen Brian Williams go
  9. 0:18into greater detail we see these
  10. 0:21beautiful pictures at night from the
  11. 0:24decks of these two US Navy vessels in
  12. 0:27the eastern Mediterranean I am tempted
  13. 0:30to quote the great Leonard Cohen I'm
  14. 0:32guided by the beauty of our weapons and
  15. 0:35they are beautiful pictures of of
  16. 0:38fearsome armaments making what is for
  17. 0:42them a brief flight over to this
  18. 0:44airfield what did they hit what are you
  19. 0:47convinced
  20. 0:51Brian Williams is back in the news and
  21. 0:54not in a good way there was some good
  22. 0:57coverage of the fact that many people
  23. 0:59were criticizing Brian Williams for how
  24. 1:01he was characterizing the missile
  25. 1:03launches yet I didn't see any media
  26. 1:05coverage of the fact that what he's
  27. 1:06glorifying is in fact a crime that
  28. 1:09should be the main point and there are
  29. 1:11people asking why is this guy even on
  30. 1:13television the post and this video story
  31. 1:15by Emily drew be do point out that he
  32. 1:18was saying things that weren't true
  33. 1:19Williams lost his job as anchor of the
  34. 1:22NBC Nightly News after it turned out his
  35. 1:24reporting on some events in Iraq weren't
  36. 1:26true so he was embedded with the troops
  37. 1:29during another crime actually the Iraq
  38. 1:31war crime years later he's telling
  39. 1:33stories about things that didn't happen
  40. 1:35he claimed that the helicopter he was
  41. 1:37riding in was hit by a rocket-propelled
  42. 1:39grenade the story actually started with
  43. 1:42a terrible moment a dozen years back
  44. 1:44during the invasion of Iraq when the
  45. 1:46helicopter we were traveling in was
  46. 1:48forced down after being hit by an RPG
  47. 1:50our traveling NBC News team was rescued
  48. 1:53surrounded and kept alive by an armored
  49. 1:55mechanized platoon from the US Army 3rd
  50. 1:57infantry two of our four helicopters
  51. 1:59were hit by ground fire including the
  52. 2:02one I was in
  53. 2:03no RPG and ak-47 what what altitude
  54. 2:06rehidden we were only at a hundred feet
  55. 2:08doing 100 forward knots because we had
  56. 2:10these massive pieces of bridge beneath
  57. 2:12us on slings what happens the minute
  58. 2:15everybody realizes you've been hit we
  59. 2:16figure out how to land safely and we did
  60. 2:19I want to apologize I said I was
  61. 2:23traveling in an aircraft that was hit by
  62. 2:25RPG fire I was instead in a following
  63. 2:28aircraft we all landed after the ground
  64. 2:32fire incident he apologized for it but
  65. 2:34also excusing it saying that he was
  66. 2:37trying to support the troops with his
  67. 2:39story this article in stars and stripes
  68. 2:41says there are some soldiers saying that
  69. 2:43in his apology he still managed to
  70. 2:45misrepresent what happened I think the
  71. 2:47media outlets that covered this story
  72. 2:49were willing to do so not because he's
  73. 2:51glorifying war but because he did it in
  74. 2:54a dopey and cringe-worthy way if he had
  75. 2:57done it in a slick away they probably
  76. 2:58would have let him get away with it
  77. 3:00follow me on Twitter because I've been
  78. 3:02talking about important points like the
  79. 3:03illegality of this the
  80. 3:05military action by Donald Trump who had
  81. 3:07no authority under the Constitution or
  82. 3:10international law to start attacking
  83. 3:12Syria and that's regardless of who was
  84. 3:14behind the release of those chemicals so
  85. 3:17you can check out the recent tweets
  86. 3:18we're making the point that Trump not
  87. 3:20only violated the Constitution being not
  88. 3:23only a hypocrite but dishonest about the
  89. 3:26recent history and the media is helping
  90. 3:28Trump to get away with it by rewriting
  91. 3:31the recent past and continuing their
  92. 3:34assault on our Constitution the elite
  93. 3:37media has contempt for our Constitution
  94. 3:40I tweeted this very important article
  95. 3:42out and I'll put a link to this in the
  96. 3:44video description this is part of a
  97. 3:46pattern where the media doesn't respect
  98. 3:49what the father of our Constitution
  99. 3:51called the wisest clause of our
  100. 3:53Constitution James Madison wrote in no
  101. 3:56part of the Constitution is more wisdom
  102. 3:58to be found than in the clause which
  103. 4:01confides the question of war and peace
  104. 4:02to the legislature that's Congress and
  105. 4:05not to the executive department that's
  106. 4:08the office of president the father of
  107. 4:10the Constitution explained that the part
  108. 4:12of the Constitution with the most wisdom
  109. 4:14is the part that keeps the power of
  110. 4:17getting our country into a war out of
  111. 4:19the president's hands the trust and the
  112. 4:22temptation would be too great for any
  113. 4:24one man the powers that be in this
  114. 4:27country today want the power to make war
  115. 4:30in the hands of one man because they
  116. 4:32want to get our country into war after
  117. 4:34war think about that and think about how
  118. 4:37elite media have total disregard for the
  119. 4:40wisest part of our Constitution how they
  120. 4:43have an agenda to get our country into
  121. 4:45war after war so they want that power
  122. 4:48concentrated in the hands of one man and
  123. 4:50that's one of the biggest dirty games
  124. 4:53that mass media plays in this country
  125. 4:55they robbed the American people of our
  126. 4:58constitutional right to have a safeguard
  127. 5:00to keep us from getting into needless
  128. 5:03Wars and as you may have noticed in this
  129. 5:05video the reporting on this story is
  130. 5:08monetized there are ads on the story
  131. 5:11about Brian Williams now the story of
  132. 5:13Syria Donald Trump's attack on Syria
  133. 5:16strike on Syria
  134. 5:17so once again YouTube's premise that
  135. 5:20these stories are supposedly not
  136. 5:22advertiser friendly obviously is false
  137. 5:25major media outlets are allowed to
  138. 5:27continue to earn revenue
  139. 5:29with advertising so what YouTube has
  140. 5:31done is really hurt independent
  141. 5:33journalists its financial sabotage
  142. 5:35YouTube cannot even argue that
  143. 5:38questioning the legality of the serious
  144. 5:40strike is unfriendly to advertisers
  145. 5:42because look at these Huffington Post is
  146. 5:45still able to monetize stories
  147. 5:46questioning the legality
  148. 5:48it's just that independent journalists
  149. 5:50on YouTube are being financially
  150. 5:52crippled YouTube's unfair policy change
  151. 5:54makes this necessary thank you to the
  152. 5:57people who are donating through patreon
  153. 5:59and the people who have donated to the
  154. 6:01GoFundMe campaign I'm forced now to ask
  155. 6:04for donations instead of relying on
  156. 6:06advertising revenue because YouTube
  157. 6:08continues to target my channel please
  158. 6:11see this video where I talk about my
  159. 6:13fundraising efforts and this video about
  160. 6:16the YouTube petition please sign the
  161. 6:18petition over a thousand people I've saw
  162. 6:20in the YouTube petition petitioning
  163. 6:22YouTube to change its policy back
