  5. 0:06birthday and we examine how to fight
  6. 0:08wokism in the classroom I'm Ben Shapiro

  9. 0:16well folks yesterday was MLK day and
  10. 0:19that was an excuse for people on the
  11. 0:21left start talking about racial
  12. 0:22reparations once again San Francisco
  13. 0:24apparently is now considering a regime
  14. 0:27of racial reparations San Francisco's
  15. 0:30reparations committee has now proposed a
  16. 0:315 million dollar payment to each black
  17. 0:33longtime resident as well as total debt
  18. 0:36forgiveness of like all that based on
  19. 0:39what I'm unaware that anybody who's
  20. 0:42alive today was a slave in the United
  21. 0:44States if so then we should probably
  22. 0:45find out about that I'm unaware that the
  23. 0:47members of the San Francisco taxpaying
  24. 0:49Community were slave holders at any
  25. 0:51point in their lives and lives of their
  26. 0:53parents or in the lives of their
  27. 0:54grandparents however that is not
  28. 0:56stopping San Francisco from Talking up
  29. 0:58race reparations according to Fox News
  30. 1:00San Francisco's reparations committee
  31. 1:01has proposed paying each black long-time
  32. 1:03resident five million dollars by the way
  33. 1:05California was a free state when it was
  34. 1:06originally admitted to the union and
  35. 1:08granting total debt forgiveness due to
  36. 1:09the Decades of systemic repression faced
  37. 1:11by the local black community the San
  38. 1:13Francisco African-American reparations
  39. 1:14advisory committee which advises the
  40. 1:16city on developing a plan for operations
  41. 1:17for black residents released its draft
  42. 1:19report last month to address reparations
  43. 1:21not for slavery not to quote address the
  44. 1:23public policies explicitly created to
  45. 1:25subjugate black people in San Francisco
  46. 1:26by upholding and expanding the intent
  47. 1:29and Legacy of Channel slavery so
  48. 1:30presumably these would be policies of
  49. 1:32for example redlining despite the fact
  50. 1:35that it has been illegal in the United
  51. 1:36States to redline since the late 1970s
  52. 1:38despite the fact that federal government
  53. 1:39and state government in California have
  54. 1:41subsidized black home ownership for
  55. 1:43decades on end despite the fact that
  56. 1:45public policy in the United States has
  57. 1:46been heavily tilted in favor of
  58. 1:49discriminatory actions on behalf of
  59. 1:51black Americans since the affirmative
  60. 1:52action moves of the 1960s and 1970s
  61. 1:55doesn't matter the draft says quote
  62. 1:57while neither San Francisco nor
  63. 1:58California formally adopted the
  64. 2:00institution of Channel slavery the
  65. 2:01tenets of segregation white supremacy
  66. 2:03and system systematic repression an
  67. 2:05exclusion of black people were codified
  68. 2:07through legal and extra legal actions
  69. 2:08social codes and judicial enforcement
  70. 2:10the draft plan includes a long list of
  71. 2:12financial recommendations for black San
  72. 2:13Francisco residents including a one-time
  73. 2:15lump sum payment of five million dollars
  74. 2:17to each eligible individual now you will
  75. 2:19notice again the vagary of the language
  76. 2:21here
  77. 2:22that yeah we didn't actually have
  78. 2:23slavery here but there were tenants of
  79. 2:25segregation now again there were no Jim
  80. 2:28Crow laws in California as far as I'm
  81. 2:30aware that was reserved exclusively for
  82. 2:32the Southern United States it may have
  83. 2:34been informal regimes of racism in
  84. 2:36California there certainly were no
  85. 2:38question
  86. 2:38that does not mean that that was legal
  87. 2:41action by the government of California
  88. 2:42in order to uphold that so you actually
  89. 2:44have to look at each specific law and
  90. 2:46each individual person who is impacted
  91. 2:48by that specific law and that's on the
  92. 2:51moral side right when you're talking
  93. 2:52about reparations you have to discuss
  94. 2:53who sinned and who was sinned against
  95. 2:54you actually have to show who is sinned
  96. 2:56against by what policy promulgated by
  97. 2:58whom if you actually wish to pay
  98. 2:59reparations if you're if you're
  99. 3:01seriously talking about repairing a
  100. 3:03damage that was done you have to ask who
  101. 3:05did the damage and to whom and then you
  102. 3:07have to ask a secondary question which
  103. 3:08we'll get to in just a moment which is
  104. 3:09is this designed to work what ill is
  105. 3:12this designed to remedy specifically
  106. 3:13when we are talking right now about
  107. 3:14people
  108. 3:15predominantly in San Francisco who were
  109. 3:18born host the Civil Rights era you're
  110. 3:20talking to San Francisco people who are
  111. 3:22born in the year 2000 right those people
  112. 3:24are 23 years old right now
  113. 3:26in the year 2000 was vast racial
  114. 3:28discrimination the way in San Francisco
  115. 3:29is that a Syria's problem in public
  116. 3:31policy in San Francisco in say the year
  117. 3:332000 or say the year 1990
  118. 3:36what how long is this going to go on
  119. 3:39a lump sum payment would compensate the
  120. 3:41affected population for decades of harms
  121. 3:43they've experienced and will redress the
  122. 3:44economic and opportunity losses to that
  123. 3:46blacks and franciscans have endured
  124. 3:47collectively as a result of both
  125. 3:49intentional decisions and unintended
  126. 3:51harms perpetuated by City policy
  127. 3:52according to the draft statement so now
  128. 3:54you're supposed to do reparations for
  129. 3:55unintended harms so public policy that
  130. 3:58accidentally harmed black folks that is
  131. 4:00now going to be redress by a giant bag
  132. 4:03of cash presumably according to the San
  133. 4:05Francisco committee now that's going to
  134. 4:08be kind of a problem because as it turns
  135. 4:09out virtually every Democratic policy in
  136. 4:10a major American city for the last 60
  137. 4:12years has harmed black Americans
  138. 4:13disproportionately I presume
  139. 4:15accidentally do we now pay reparations
  140. 4:16for all of that bad policy are we going
  141. 4:18to pay reparations for all the bad
  142. 4:19policing policy that is
  143. 4:21disproportionately harm black Americans
  144. 4:22in major American cities over the course
  145. 4:24of the last four or five years how's
  146. 4:26that going to work
  147. 4:28to be eligible for the program the
  148. 4:29applicant has to be 18 years old and has
  149. 4:31to have identified as black or
  150. 4:33African-American on public documents for
  151. 4:34at least 10 years it must also prove at
  152. 4:36least two of eight additional criteria
  153. 4:38choosing from a list that includes born
  154. 4:40in San Francisco between 1940 and 1996
  155. 4:42and has proof of residency in San
  156. 4:44Francisco for at least 13 years and or
  157. 4:46personally or the direct descendants of
  158. 4:48someone incarcerated by the field so now
  159. 4:51we are going to pay reparations to you
  160. 4:52if your parent went to jail for drug
  161. 4:55dealing
  162. 4:57because every aspect of America
  163. 4:59according to the woke left has been
  164. 5:00impacted by the legacy of slavery and
  165. 5:03Jim Crow and that is up to and including
  166. 5:05your criminal violations so if you're
  167. 5:07selling cocaine to a minor and then you
  168. 5:09went to jail and you're the child of
  169. 5:10that person now you deserve reparations
  170. 5:11because of the failed War on Drugs the
  171. 5:14plan also calls on the city to
  172. 5:15supplement lower income recipients
  173. 5:16income to reflect the area median income
  174. 5:18about 97 Grand annually for at least 250
  175. 5:21years
  176. 5:23250 years
  177. 5:25okay racial disparities across all
  178. 5:28metrics have led to a significant racial
  179. 5:29wealth Gap in the city of San Francisco
  180. 5:30it argued by elevating income to match
  181. 5:32Ami black people can better afford
  182. 5:34housing and achieve a better quality of
  183. 5:35life
  184. 5:36the plan also seeks to establish a
  185. 5:38comprehensive debt forgiveness program
  186. 5:40that clears each eligible person student
  187. 5:42and housing loans credit card debt Etc
  188. 5:44we'll get some more on all this in just

  224. 6:45today speaking of the economy the
  225. 6:47economy is on a Night's Edge right now
  226. 6:49most economists expect a recession in
  227. 6:50the near future just another blow to
  228. 6:52your business but here's the thing it is
  229. 6:54possible that over the course of the
  230. 6:55past several years you actually spent
  231. 6:56too much money on your taxes what if you
  232. 6:57could claw some of that money back you
  233. 6:59should give my friends at Innovation

  238. 7:07thousand dollars per employee this isn't
  239. 7:09alone there's no payback it is a refund
  240. 7:10on your taxes the challenge is how do
  241. 7:12you get your hands on it how do you cut
  242. 7:13through the red tape and get your

  260. 7:40getrefunds.com again that is
  261. 7:42getrefunds.com g-e-t e r e f u n d s.com
  262. 7:46and to get started
  263. 7:48so now if you want to go to college you
  264. 7:50got your stuff together well in high
  265. 7:52school you want to go to college all
  266. 7:53your student loan debt is going to be
  267. 7:54relieved they also want you to have your
  268. 7:56credit card debt relieved so if you've
  269. 7:58been spending exorbitant amounts of cash
  270. 8:00on random nonsense that should be
  271. 8:02relieved also because of the legacy of
  272. 8:03slavery and Jim Crow in the year 2023
  273. 8:05again calendars exist folks you're not
  274. 8:08living in the year 1964 we are living in
  275. 8:10the year 2023.
  276. 8:12I had my 39th birthday on Sunday I was
  277. 8:15born in 1984 20 20 years after the Civil
  278. 8:19Rights Act two decades like a full
  279. 8:21generation
  280. 8:22and so pretty much everybody that we
  281. 8:24were talking about in San Francisco
  282. 8:25right now
  283. 8:27black households are more likely to hold
  284. 8:29costly or riskier debt and are more
  285. 8:30likely to have outstanding student loans
  286. 8:32at the draft explains when this is
  287. 8:33combined with lower household incomes
  288. 8:34and create inescapable cycle of debt
  289. 8:36eliminating the set gives black
  290. 8:37households an opportunity to build
  291. 8:39wealth so again the idea is that if you
  292. 8:41have a bad credit history we have to
  293. 8:42wipe away your credit card debt and then
  294. 8:44we have to give you a low interest loan
  295. 8:46and this is what's going to allow you to
  296. 8:47rise out of poverty the problem is all
  297. 8:48of these loans have largely been
  298. 8:49available to people who have established
  299. 8:51decent credit over the course of their
  300. 8:52lifetimes why don't the rules apply to
  301. 8:55people who are born in San Francisco and
  302. 8:56are black and were born in the same year
  303. 8:59I was born in 1984 or well after that
  304. 9:02because apparently you have to be born
  305. 9:04like as long as you were born according
  306. 9:06to their recommendations
  307. 9:09between 1940 and 1996.
  308. 9:131996. okay which would make you again by
  309. 9:16my calculation 27 years old
  310. 9:18this means that you are now eligible for
  311. 9:20the kind of thing they are recommending
  312. 9:21Board of Supervisors President Aaron
  313. 9:23peskin told the San Francisco Chronicle
  314. 9:24he hopes the plan is approved quote
  315. 9:26there are so many efforts that result in
  316. 9:27incredible reports that just end up
  317. 9:28Gathering dust on a shelf we cannot let
  318. 9:30this be one of them
  319. 9:31amazing stuff there from the San
  320. 9:33Francisco reparations committee
  321. 9:35now the the is this actually going to be
  322. 9:38effectuated of course this is not
  323. 9:39actually going to happen because the
  324. 9:41immediate result of this would be to
  325. 9:42radically increase the cost on San
  326. 9:44Francisco city government it would
  327. 9:45radically increase the taxes businesses
  328. 9:47would flee San Francisco would turn into
  329. 9:49a ghost town you want to turn cities
  330. 9:51into Detroit Detroit was one of the most
  331. 9:53successful cities in the United States
  332. 9:54in the 1950s and 1960s and then racial
  333. 9:56conflicts increasing taxes
  334. 9:58massive regulation drove a lot of people
  335. 10:01who had the means out of the city
  336. 10:03and you ended up with a de facto
  337. 10:05Arena of racial separatism
  338. 10:08a largely black City where virtually
  339. 10:10everybody who is white moved out of the
  340. 10:12interior of the city despite the fact
  341. 10:13that it had been one of the more
  342. 10:14integrated cities in the American North
  343. 10:16and one of the most successful
  344. 10:16industrialized cities in the American
  345. 10:18North particularly for American blacks
  346. 10:21now all of these policies have precisely
  347. 10:22the opposite of the consequences that
  348. 10:24they seek to achieve but we are having
  349. 10:25these conversations now because we have
  350. 10:27to achieve a more Equitable world right
  351. 10:29this is the buzzword of the Biden
  352. 10:30Administration and this has been the
  353. 10:31buzzword of Democrats going all the way
  354. 10:33back to Lyndon Baines Johnson in the
  355. 10:351960s and it has been a complete fail so
  356. 10:37here yesterday was the incompetent and
  357. 10:41uh horrifically untalented Vice
  358. 10:42President of the United States Kamala
  359. 10:44Harris who lives in a country so racist
  360. 10:46that she's Vice President of the United
  361. 10:47States specifically because she was
  362. 10:48picked by affirmative action Lottery by
  363. 10:51Joe Biden to be the vice president of
  364. 10:52the United States if you were a white
  365. 10:54lady that she would not be Vice
  366. 10:55President of the United States she would
  367. 10:56just be a less talented Amy Klobuchar so
  368. 10:59here is uh Kamala Harris talking up a
  369. 11:01more Equitable world
  370. 11:02hey everyone today we honor the legacy
  371. 11:06of Reverend Dr Martin Luther King Jr
  372. 11:09Dr King was a prophet he saw the future
  373. 11:12as it could be a future of equity
  374. 11:16Justice and opportunity for all freedom
  375. 11:19is never really one
  376. 11:21you earn it and you win it in every
  377. 11:24generation
  378. 11:26so let us all commit to continue the
  379. 11:29fight for justice
  380. 11:30for our generation and for generations
  381. 11:33to come
  382. 11:35then what is she talking about she of
  383. 11:37course is talking about vast bevies of
  384. 11:39government spending Sonny Hosten on The
  385. 11:41View made it clear she said that on
  386. 11:43Martin Luther King day we should
  387. 11:44remember that the country was built on
  388. 11:45the backs of black people for free so we
  389. 11:47need to talk about racial reparations
  390. 11:49now if we're going to talk about the
  391. 11:50history of discrimination and people who
  392. 11:53have been victimized in the American
  393. 11:54project that list is very very long and
  394. 11:57of course black Americans historically
  395. 11:59are at the top of the list also included
  396. 12:01in the list would be Asian Americans who
  397. 12:03exploited to build the railroads for
  398. 12:04example or Latino Americans who were
  399. 12:06used for extraordinarily cheap labor in
  400. 12:07the 1920s 30s 40s and 50s
  401. 12:10and there's been a lot of people who've
  402. 12:12been victimized in the history of the
  403. 12:13United States but the amazing thing
  404. 12:14about the United States is that
  405. 12:15everybody has the chance to rise in the
  406. 12:18modern era
  407. 12:19this is the difference the difference
  408. 12:20between the United States and every
  409. 12:22place else is not the evils that existed
  410. 12:23in the United States that have existed
  411. 12:24every place else the difference between
  412. 12:26the United States and every place else
  413. 12:27is the good that exists in the United
  414. 12:29States that does not exist nearly any
  415. 12:30place else in any case here is sunny
  416. 12:32hosting making the claim that we need
  417. 12:33racial reparations for people who are
  418. 12:35not slaves from people who are never
  419. 12:37slaveholders
  420. 12:38he was deeply invested in economic
  421. 12:41equality and he was deeply invested in
  422. 12:45making sure that black people got
  423. 12:47reparations and that there was wealth
  424. 12:49distribution redistribution and that's
  425. 12:52the one area when we talk about
  426. 12:54diversity and we talk about inclusion
  427. 12:57and we talk about Equity people are real
  428. 12:59comfortable lately with diversity
  429. 13:00they're real comfortable with inclusion
  430. 13:02but when you ask them about giving us
  431. 13:04some reparations because this country
  432. 13:06was built on the back of black people
  433. 13:09for free no one wants to talk about that
  434. 13:12and that was really a big part of his um
  435. 13:15dream and his legacy
  436. 13:18and the liberal white ladies who watch
  437. 13:19The View are all clapping in the
  438. 13:21background because it makes them feel
  439. 13:22good to talk about this sort of stuff
  440. 13:23never paying attention to the fact that
  441. 13:25we actually have tried massive wealth
  442. 13:27redistribution in this country and in
  443. 13:28terms of healing the racial wealth Gap
  444. 13:30it has been utterly insufficient it has
  445. 13:32not worked so LBJ back in 1965 gave a
  446. 13:35very famous speech at Howard University
  447. 13:37it was a commencement address at Howard
  448. 13:38University in which he explained that
  449. 13:40negative Freedom was not enough that
  450. 13:42basically getting rid of segregation
  451. 13:44making it illegal was not enough that
  452. 13:46creating an even playing field for
  453. 13:48people was not enough because after all
  454. 13:49the legacy of racial oppression meant
  455. 13:51that the government now had to play
  456. 13:53favorites and actually reverse
  457. 13:54discriminate in order to redress the
  458. 13:56problems of history now you can make
  459. 13:57that case certainly in 1965. there's a
  460. 14:00case to be made because the people who
  461. 14:01are the direct victims of Jim Crow were
  462. 14:04alive well and Jim Crow was in operation
  463. 14:07so sure you can make that case in 1965.
  464. 14:10very difficult to make the case in 2023
  465. 14:11and all of that puts aside forget the
  466. 14:14moral case for a second the utter in
  467. 14:15effect in efficacy and failure of the
  468. 14:19regime the regimen of racial reparations
  469. 14:21that were put into place by the war on
  470. 14:22poverty under LBJ so here's what LBJ
  471. 14:24said at the time
  472. 14:26he said it's not enough to just open the
  473. 14:28gates of opportunity all our citizens
  474. 14:30must have the ability to walk through
  475. 14:31those Gates you do not take a person who
  476. 14:33for years has been hobbled by chains and
  477. 14:35liberate him bring him up to the
  478. 14:36starting line of a race and then say you
  479. 14:37are free to compete with all the others
  480. 14:38and still justly believe that you have
  481. 14:40been completely Fair
  482. 14:41okay I mean again that's a fair enough
  483. 14:43point but after 60 years of
  484. 14:46extraordinary efforts by the federal and
  485. 14:48state governments of the United States
  486. 14:49to redress poverty
  487. 14:52largely directed toward minority
  488. 14:54communities as LBJ openly discussed I
  489. 14:55mean this was a commencement speech at
  490. 14:57Howard University
  491. 14:58has it been a failure or has it been a
  492. 15:00success the answer is it has been a
  493. 15:02gigantic failure
  494. 15:04now the way you can tell it's been a
  495. 15:05gigantic failure is because one thing
  496. 15:07that actually has happened is that the
  497. 15:09income gap in the United States despite
  498. 15:11all of the talk about how income
  499. 15:12inequality is still the dominant factor
  500. 15:14in American life that actually is not
  501. 15:15true income inequality has actually
  502. 15:17become significantly better in the
  503. 15:19United States why because of the
  504. 15:21reparations meaning all the poverty
  505. 15:23reparations all of these sort of
  506. 15:24redistributionism has actually
  507. 15:26alleviated much of the income gap in the
  508. 15:29United States whenever you see these
  509. 15:30gigantic stories about how the income
  510. 15:32inequality persists and the the gap
  511. 15:34between the top and bottom households is
  512. 15:3517-1 that's not actually true if you
  513. 15:37include taxes from the top and you
  514. 15:40include subsidies to the bottom in the
  515. 15:42form of welfare in the form of food
  516. 15:43stamps in the form of housing subsidies
  517. 15:45and all the rest the 2017 income gap
  518. 15:48actually shrinks from 17 to 1 to about
  519. 15:50four to one
  520. 15:52that the government likes to play this
  521. 15:53little game where they point out that
  522. 15:54the income gap in terms of private
  523. 15:56income has not actually alleviated
  524. 15:57between black and white and that's true
  525. 15:59what has happened is that all of the
  526. 16:01racial redistribution that has been
  527. 16:02happening has alleviated the income gap
  528. 16:04posted taxes and post benefits
  529. 16:07hey but the problem is that doesn't
  530. 16:08actually heal the underlying problem
  531. 16:10because the underlying problem that
  532. 16:11everybody wants to get to is the income
  533. 16:13gap without all of that without the
  534. 16:15taxes and without the government
  535. 16:16subsidization
  536. 16:17why hasn't that been healed and the
  537. 16:19answer there is that when you
  538. 16:21incentivize people to make bad decisions
  539. 16:23they continue to make bad decisions
  540. 16:25the income that is gained through
  541. 16:27welfare social safety net benefits all
  542. 16:29of the stuff that's subsidized by the
  543. 16:31federal and state governments that does
  544. 16:33not actually translate into healing the
  545. 16:34wealth Gap because all wealth is is
  546. 16:36accrual of income over time
  547. 16:38wealth happens when you save your income
  548. 16:40and when you invest your income and when
  549. 16:42you turn it into a home for example and
  550. 16:43then when you take the income from from
  551. 16:45your your job you pay your mortgage and
  552. 16:47pay off your home then you take the
  553. 16:48extra income you buy a second home and
  554. 16:49you rent it out this is how you actually
  555. 16:51achieve wealth in the United States well
  556. 16:53we've done an extraordinary amount to
  557. 16:55alleviate poverty directed at
  558. 16:57alleviating racial historical gaps and
  559. 17:00what we have done is we have alleviated
  560. 17:02some of the income gap but we've done
  561. 17:03very little to alleviate the wealth Gap
  562. 17:05the wealth Gap is essentially the same
  563. 17:06as it was in 1960 before any of this
  564. 17:08starts
  565. 17:09The Washington Post acknowledges as much
  566. 17:12if you actually look at the racial
  567. 17:15wealth Gap in the United States
  568. 17:17in in 1960
  569. 17:19black households and white households is
  570. 17:21much smaller the wealth Gap in 1960 than
  571. 17:24it is today
  572. 17:26as of about 2020
  573. 17:29white households were worth 149 000 on
  574. 17:33average in 2016. Black households are
  575. 17:35worth thirteen thousand dollars in 2016.
  576. 17:37that is a far larger Gap that existed at
  577. 17:40the beginning of the so-called war on
  578. 17:42poverty
  579. 17:43why because it turns out that when you
  580. 17:45expend extraordinary amounts of federal
  581. 17:47money and you do so not only in
  582. 17:49inefficient ways but without really
  583. 17:52tackling the underlying crippling
  584. 17:54cultural problems that lead to
  585. 17:56intergenerational Poverty you don't end
  586. 17:57up alleviating anything you can throw
  587. 17:59five million dollars at every black
  588. 18:00Citizen of San Francisco and it is not
  589. 18:02going to fix the racial wealth Gap in
  590. 18:04San Francisco after about 10 years
  591. 18:06the reason being that people make
  592. 18:08different decisions with their money
  593. 18:09people make different life decisions
  594. 18:12and the notion that this is just a
  595. 18:13problem of marxist redistributionism is
  596. 18:15a lie it's not true
  597. 18:17there's a good piece
  598. 18:18by Lewis Andrews from 2020 over the
  599. 18:21American conservative talking about the
  600. 18:23failure of the sort of reparations ideal
  601. 18:26here
  602. 18:27he says one critical fact that it's
  603. 18:29always ignored whenever the issues of
  604. 18:30operations resurfaces namely that any
  605. 18:32Financial financially expressible amends
  606. 18:34the country might owe its black citizens
  607. 18:36was made long ago in January 1964
  608. 18:38president Lyndon Johnson declared an
  609. 18:40unconditional war on poverty in America
  610. 18:41by 2015 it had cost the nation more than
  611. 18:4422 trillion dollars 22 trillion dollars
  612. 18:47or three times what we previously spent
  613. 18:48on all shooting Wars
  614. 18:52in the years since President Johnson's
  615. 18:54address in 1965 at Howard University the
  616. 18:56poverty rate for African Americans has
  617. 18:58fallen a few points in Good Times risen
  618. 18:59a few points in bad on average remained
  619. 19:01essentially unchanged today 26 of blacks
  620. 19:04age 25 and older have a bachelor's
  621. 19:05degree compared with the national
  622. 19:06average of 36 percent
  623. 19:08the failure of Johnson's attempt to make
  624. 19:10up for the unfair historical treatment
  625. 19:11of American blacks was not an indicator
  626. 19:13of whether sufficient money had been
  627. 19:15raised for that purpose only of how
  628. 19:16effectively it was spent
  629. 19:18the villains at that time were not the
  630. 19:19taxpayers of every color who allowed
  631. 19:20themselves as well as their children and
  632. 19:22grandchildren to be put on the hook for
  633. 19:23reparations the blame properly falls on
  634. 19:25the four groups of intermediaries most
  635. 19:26involved in shaping the war on poverty
  636. 19:28the first of those groups was the
  637. 19:29politicians policymakers and bureaucrats
  638. 19:31who channeled those anti-poverty funds
  639. 19:33into a complex administrative overlay
  640. 19:35involving 100 programs which ended up
  641. 19:37benefiting themselves far more than poor
  642. 19:39black Americans
  643. 19:40feeding the horses to feed The Sparrows
  644. 19:42as Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan
  645. 19:43sarcastically described it at the time
  646. 19:46the second group was self-serving
  647. 19:47intermediaries consisted of all the
  648. 19:49university social sciences who prospered
  649. 19:51during the 60s and 70s by producing
  650. 19:52thick reports and demonstration projects
  651. 19:54to confirm whatever their government
  652. 19:55sponsors wanted to hear
  653. 19:57as John F kogan documents in his 2017
  654. 19:59history of Federal entitlement programs
  655. 20:01the high cost of Good Intentions all the
  656. 20:03seemingly scientific studies of that
  657. 20:04time which purported to show how
  658. 20:05expanding welfare programs would make
  659. 20:07black Americans more independent or
  660. 20:08consistently wrong there was in fact
  661. 20:10precious little evidence to support the
  662. 20:11contention that social welfare services
  663. 20:13would prevent welfare dependency or help
  664. 20:15existing recipients achieve
  665. 20:16self-sufficiency
  666. 20:17the third group to siphon off America's
  667. 20:19slavery reparations or the opportunistic
  668. 20:21attorneys unintentionally empowered by
  669. 20:22the centerpiece of President Johnson's
  670. 20:24war in poverty the 1964 Economic
  671. 20:26Opportunity Act written to financially
  672. 20:28incentivize urban and rural minorities
  673. 20:30to form Community Action groups which in
  674. 20:31turn could help local welfare recipients
  675. 20:33become social sufficient self-sufficient
  676. 20:35while was soon exploited by Legal
  677. 20:37Services lawyers and related
  678. 20:38professionals to do the very opposite
  679. 20:39sue the government for even more
  680. 20:41dependency creating benefits
  681. 20:43and this is why you saw a bunch of sort
  682. 20:45of community activist organizations that
  683. 20:47were rent seeking from local state and
  684. 20:48federal governments
  685. 20:50all of this created the new non-profits
  686. 20:53of the mercy be fourth self-serving
  687. 20:54intermediary and local public employee
  688. 20:56unions which especially in blue States
  689. 20:57could influence how much the legislature
  690. 20:59annually donated to various Charities
  691. 21:00the result was that policies like school
  692. 21:02choice extremely popular with black
  693. 21:04families were rarely endorsed by any
  694. 21:06state-funded or reunion subsidized group
  695. 21:07supposedly set up to look out for blacks
  696. 21:10at the same time civil rights groups
  697. 21:11were expected to back Union efforts to
  698. 21:13keep Washington's war on poverty money
  699. 21:14flowing through local welfare
  700. 21:15bureaucracies regardless of any negative
  701. 21:17effects
  702. 21:19all of this happens to be the case but
  703. 21:21we're supposed to pretend that none of
  704. 21:22it is the case and then if we just shout
  705. 21:24about the injustices of life and then
  706. 21:26throw a fire hose of money at it is
  707. 21:27going to solve all the problems and that
  708. 21:29of course is not even remotely true
  709. 21:32it also is a great evil to call on
  710. 21:36people who have not sinned to pay people
  711. 21:39who have not been sinned against by
  712. 21:40those people
  713. 21:42and it also involves violations of
  714. 21:44Liberty
  715. 21:45in pursuit of of
  716. 21:48redressing problems and in pursuit of
  717. 21:50Utopia to be built thereupon there are a
  718. 21:53lot of people who are willing to run
  719. 21:54directly over individual rights this
  720. 21:55includes of course representative Sheila
  721. 21:57Jackson Lee
  722. 21:58of Texas who yesterday introduced a
  723. 22:00house bill criminalizing quote
  724. 22:01conspiracy to commit white supremacy
  725. 22:03which would include criticism of
  726. 22:04non-white people which influences an
  727. 22:06individual to commit a hate crime now
  728. 22:08all that may sound well and good it does
  729. 22:10run directly foul of the First Amendment
  730. 22:13white supremacy is not a crime it's an
  731. 22:16evil it is not a crime there's a
  732. 22:17difference between an evil and a crime
  733. 22:20and if we are now in the business of
  734. 22:21eviscerating
  735. 22:22particular viewpoints by the federal
  736. 22:24government to the tune of criminalizing
  737. 22:26those viewpoints that is a far remove
  738. 22:28from the founding promise of the country
  739. 22:30and carries its own dangers
  740. 22:32because the people who are in the
  741. 22:33political ascendancy today may not be in
  742. 22:34the political ascendancy tomorrow
  743. 22:37they're also victims to this whole new
  744. 22:38attempt at racial reparations those
  745. 22:40victims obviously have been have been
  746. 22:43largely centralized at this point in the
  747. 22:46Asian Community when it comes to
  748. 22:47colleges which is why you see an active
  749. 22:49discrimination against Asian Americans
  750. 22:50in our colleges and universities
  751. 22:53very interesting story from the Wall
  752. 22:55Street Journal about all of that today
  753. 22:56quote before The Supreme Court renders
  754. 22:58its decision on harvards and the
  755. 22:59University of North Carolina's use of
  756. 23:00race preferences and Emissions the
  757. 23:02justices might take a glance across the
  758. 23:03Potomac
  759. 23:04Northern Virginia today offers a
  760. 23:06snapshot of how affirmative action
  761. 23:07intended as benevolent effort to prevent
  762. 23:08discrimination has hardened into an ugly
  763. 23:10war on achievement
  764. 23:11the latest fuss was kicked off before
  765. 23:13Christmas when asra nomani an india-born
  766. 23:16mom and reporter wrote a piece for the
  767. 23:17Manhattan Institute City Journal
  768. 23:18detailing how her son's Virginia High
  769. 23:20School never informed him he'd actually
  770. 23:21been recognized by the National Merit
  771. 23:23Scholarship program
  772. 23:24other students at Thomas Jefferson High
  773. 23:26School for Science and Technology known
  774. 23:28as TJ and regularly ranked America's
  775. 23:29number one high school said they have
  776. 23:30the same experience so Virginia attorney
  777. 23:32general Jason mayares launched a civil
  778. 23:35rights investigation on January 4th Days
  779. 23:36Later principles at two more Fairfax
  780. 23:38County High School's Westfield and
  781. 23:39Langley admitted They too had failed to
  782. 23:41inform student Award winners
  783. 23:43mayarsen expanded his investigations
  784. 23:44while Fairfax County no sooner had he
  785. 23:47done so than neighboring Loudoun County
  786. 23:48reported that three of its high schools
  787. 23:50had delayed at notifying its students
  788. 23:51officials insisted it wasn't intentional

  790. 23:55Fest up followed by another on Monday
  791. 23:58telling kids that they actually were
  792. 24:00finalists or semifinalists that stuff
  793. 24:01goes on your college resume
  794. 24:04given that the program leaves
  795. 24:05notifications to the individual schools
  796. 24:06it's possible this was bureaucratic
  797. 24:08failure but the context offers a less
  798. 24:10generous reading public education in
  799. 24:12Fairfax County has become the front line
  800. 24:13for an equity agenda that has hardened
  801. 24:15into a war on Achievers who are
  802. 24:16disproportionately Asian American says
  803. 24:18Economist for the Wall Street Journal
  804. 24:20as the federal judge pointed out in 2022
  805. 24:22in a case contesting TJ's new admissions
  806. 24:24policy the Fairfax County School Board
  807. 24:26eliminated the merit-based entrance
  808. 24:27exams make room for African-American and
  809. 24:29Hispanic students by reducing the number
  810. 24:31of Asian Americans in that sense it
  811. 24:32quote unquote worked the class admitted
  812. 24:34before the change was 73 Asian three
  813. 24:36percent Hispanic one percent
  814. 24:37African-American after the change the
  815. 24:39figures went to 54 Asian 11 Hispanic
  816. 24:42seven percent black the share of white
  817. 24:44students grew actually from 17 to 22
  818. 24:46percent
  819. 24:49what makes Asian American achievement so
  820. 24:50resented by our Equity Warriors is that
  821. 24:52it exposes as false the narrative about
  822. 24:54an irredeemably racist America where
  823. 24:55minorities cannot succeed it's
  824. 24:57Progressive disdain for Asian Americans
  825. 24:58is Amplified by a resentment of moms and
  826. 25:00dads who believe they should have a say
  827. 25:01in their kids education this happens to
  828. 25:03be exactly correct as William mcgrun
  829. 25:05writes over at the Wall Street Journal
  830. 25:07and this is extending into the way that
  831. 25:09our kids are taught
  832. 25:11the the attempt to use the educational
  833. 25:13system to cram down this perverse view
  834. 25:15of American Life in which America is
  835. 25:17deeply evil
  836. 25:18and the only way to fix that evil is by
  837. 25:20racial discrimination it has entered our
  838. 25:23classrooms it is being crammed down on
  839. 25:24students you have to
  840. 25:27Target the youngest members of the
  841. 25:28American community and then indoctrinate
  842. 25:30them in the idea of intergenerational
  843. 25:32racial guilt
  844. 25:34and the necessity of violation of
  845. 25:36anti-discrimination law
  846. 25:39and this is why for example the National
  847. 25:41Education Association teachers union has
  848. 25:42now created a race-based trauma learning
  849. 25:44course according to Fox News the Nea
  850. 25:47which is a major labor union in the
  851. 25:49educational sphere there are two big
  852. 25:51ones the Nea and the American Federation
  853. 25:52of teachers led by the X scribble Randy
  854. 25:54Weingarten has announced a race-based
  855. 25:56trauma Blended learning course the
  856. 25:57course will quote explore race-based
  857. 25:59trauma its causes and effects and offers
  858. 26:01research-based tools to address it
  859. 26:02according to the neh Twitter our
  860. 26:04students are shouldering the
  861. 26:05accumulation of inherited racial trauma
  862. 26:07such as implicit bias or racism and can
  863. 26:09affect young people's ability to learn
  864. 26:10make responsible decisions or maintain
  865. 26:12healthy relationships as the Nea it is
  866. 26:14imperative to recognize the effects of
  867. 26:16racial trauma in order to restore equity
  868. 26:18and well-being and that word Equity
  869. 26:19again you're not responsible for your
  870. 26:20own decisions it must be
  871. 26:21intergenerational racial trauma that has
  872. 26:23caused you to make a bad decision that
  873. 26:25wrecks your life today
  874. 26:27the Nea of course has a long history of
  875. 26:29involvement in racial and sexual issues
  876. 26:30with the organization hosting an annual
  877. 26:32conference on racial and social justice
  878. 26:34again these are is one of the two big
  879. 26:36teachers unions in the United States the
  880. 26:37AFT is just as far to the left
  881. 26:40Nea experts are frequent speakers at
  882. 26:42South by Southwest which include
  883. 26:43seminars like why porn literacy belongs
  884. 26:45in sex education without Roe impact on
  885. 26:48education and Workforce and white
  886. 26:49supremacy and anti-Semitism on campus
  887. 26:52you can see the impact of all this in
  888. 26:54the classroom itself
  889. 26:56Libs of tick tock which
  890. 26:58hi reject runs that that account does an
  891. 27:00excellent job of exposing the woke
  892. 27:02indoctrination in our Public Schools
  893. 27:04yesterday she uh posted a video of one
  894. 27:06teacher bragging about fostering
  895. 27:08political unrest in her classroom
  896. 27:10today I would like to talk about how I
  897. 27:12am the political unrest that Cedar City
  898. 27:15needs so besides the fact that I dyed my
  899. 27:18hair purple last night and I have two
  900. 27:19visible tattoos I wrote my pronouns as
  901. 27:22shiani up on the board I was teaching
  902. 27:2410th grade and I told the stomach
  903. 27:27classes and it wasn't until the last
  904. 27:28period where someone was like what's the
  905. 27:30second pronoun and so I explained I was
  906. 27:32like I do she any pronouns I do go by
  907. 27:35any pronouns she he they anything but I
  908. 27:39am totally okay with you just referring
  909. 27:41to me as she
  910. 27:44but but this is fostering of course the
  911. 27:46most important thing political unrest in
  912. 27:47classrooms you have teachers Across the
  913. 27:49Nation work for the Nea and the AFT or
  914. 27:52teaching this crap to children
  915. 27:54and creating a whole new generation of
  916. 27:56intergenerational trauma while
  917. 27:58purporting to alleviate
  918. 27:59intergenerational trauma there's also
  919. 28:01how you end up with Maryland classroom
  920. 28:02that looks like this there's a Libs of
  921. 28:04tick tock a tweet sent to me by a parent
  922. 28:06a classroom in their kids school in
  923. 28:07Maryland homeschool your kids and what
  924. 28:10is there while blocking Windows a giant
  925. 28:11black lives matter flag as well as a
  926. 28:13pride progress flag hanging from the
  927. 28:16hanging from the wall when it comes to
  928. 28:18your kids education so I saw a lot of
  929. 28:20responses from people on the right to
  930. 28:21this sort of stuff
  931. 28:22and the the right seems to think or at
  932. 28:25least many members of the right seem to
  933. 28:26think that the best analogy is if you
  934. 28:29put a cross or the Ten Commandments in a
  935. 28:30classroom right the idea being well you
  936. 28:32know it's a value neutral space right
  937. 28:35all you members on the left you should
  938. 28:36at least acknowledge that this is the
  939. 28:38equivalent of you pushing your brand of
  940. 28:40religion and religion is banned in the
  941. 28:41classroom we're not allowed to pray in a
  942. 28:43classroom we're not allowed to have the
  943. 28:44Ten Commandments in a classroom and thus
  944. 28:46you you should acknowledge that that
  945. 28:48your flags your black lives matter
  946. 28:50propaganda flag and your pride progress
  947. 28:52propaganda they don't belong in the
  948. 28:53classroom there's only one problem with
  949. 28:55this someone is going to win when it
  950. 28:56comes to teaching values in the
  951. 28:57classroom and someone is going to lose
  952. 28:58the notion of value neutrality in public
  953. 29:01schools is nonsense it has been nonsense
  954. 29:02for a very long time there is no value
  955. 29:04neutrality in America's Public School
  956. 29:06classrooms there just isn't
  957. 29:09what did it worse out but the Nea and
  958. 29:11the AFT make sure that is not in fact
  959. 29:12the case
  960. 29:13which means that if you wish to actually
  961. 29:16have your kids taught good values you
  962. 29:18need to get active at the school board
  963. 29:19level the case that you should be making
  964. 29:21against the black lives matter flag and
  965. 29:22the pride progress flag in the classroom
  966. 29:24is not that they are the equivalent of
  967. 29:25the Ten Commandments in the cross
  968. 29:26because frankly they are not
  969. 29:28they're not
  970. 29:29by the way even if you put a cross in
  971. 29:31the classroom that is different from the
  972. 29:32Ten Commandments The Ten Commandments is
  973. 29:34in fact interdenominational
  974. 29:36Jews Muslims and Christians all take
  975. 29:38very seriously The Ten Commandments that
  976. 29:40are the predicate for all moral systems
  977. 29:42of government in the west so that this
  978. 29:45notion that the Ten Commandments is
  979. 29:46somehow an indoctrination into the
  980. 29:49religious precepts of Christianity or an
  981. 29:50attempt to force you to to Worship in
  982. 29:52the classroom is obviously a lie but
  983. 29:55the the moral distinction is the one
  984. 29:57that matters and people who are
  985. 29:59conservative should stop trying to aim
  986. 30:01for the value neutral space when it
  987. 30:02comes to the classroom instead they
  988. 30:03should be as parents protecting the
  989. 30:05values that they wish to see their kids
  990. 30:07learn if value neutrality is the best
  991. 30:09that we can come to if the left will
  992. 30:11agree to value neutrality fine and good
  993. 30:13but guess what it ain't gonna happen
  994. 30:15the left purports that secular religious
  995. 30:17practice
  996. 30:18is superior that's why they are doing it
  997. 30:20they're not doing it because they
  998. 30:21believe that secularism is the is the
  999. 30:24way of the world and that religion is
1000. 30:25false or any of that what they believe
1001. 30:26is that they are doing an active good
1002. 30:28they're doing an act of Good by
1003. 30:30promulgating their point of view the
1004. 30:31right needs to start arguing that their
1005. 30:33point of view is good because the
1006. 30:34response to Black lives matter flags and
1007. 30:37pride progress Flags in the classroom is
1008. 30:39not no Flags in the classroom it is in
1009. 30:41fact the Ten Commandments no idolatry
  1010. 30:43idolatry is bad
  1011. 30:45no tribal sectarianism it's bad
1012. 30:48no notion of sexual identity as the core
  1013. 30:51of human living it's bad it's not
1014. 30:53something you should be taught to kids
1015. 30:55parents had better get aggressive on
1016. 30:57this or they are going to lose certainly
1017. 30:59the left has been aggressive on this and
1018. 31:00how aggressively it is left to use our
1019. 31:02Public Schools so Lori Lightfoot The the
1020. 31:04awful mayor of Chicago she apparently
1021. 31:06attempted to recruit Chicago public
1022. 31:08school students to help with her own
1023. 31:09re-election she offered them extra
  1024. 31:10credit
1025. 31:12so she was asked about this the other
1026. 31:13day like how is it that you are able to
1027. 31:15go into public schools and offer extra
1028. 31:17credit to students for working for your
  1029. 31:18campaign
  1030. 31:19it's just amazing amazing stuff here's
1031. 31:21Lori Lightfoot The Terrible mayor of
  1032. 31:22Chicago
1033. 31:24mayor Lightfoot I got to get you on one
1034. 31:26controversial thing before we let you go
  1035. 31:28your campaign uh re-election campaign is
1036. 31:31under investigation after being accused
1037. 31:33of trying to recruit Chicago public
1038. 31:35school students to help you get
  1039. 31:37reelected what's your response to this
1040. 31:39story The out of NBC News look in our Z
1041. 31:42in our Zeal to make sure that young
1042. 31:44people had an opportunity to participate
1043. 31:46in air flocking to our campaign uh one
1044. 31:49of our staffers reached out through
1045. 31:52publicly available information to CPS
1046. 31:54teachers and our city colleges and that
  1047. 31:56was just simply a mistake
1048. 31:59oh oops it was just a oopsie it says
1049. 32:01it's not an oopsie Anya in the AFT they
1050. 32:04work with politicians like Lori
1051. 32:05Lightfoot is all part of a giant machine
1052. 32:07the Nea and the AFT get paid by
1053. 32:09politicians like Lori Lightfoot and they
1054. 32:12get funded by politicians like Lori
1055. 32:13Lightfoot and then they all use that
1056. 32:15power to indoctrinate your kids
1057. 32:17which is why as Lancey zumie writes over
1058. 32:19the New York Post the critical race
1059. 32:20Theory debate is turning parents into
  1060. 32:21unlikely activists
  1061. 32:23quote a multi-disciplinary education
1062. 32:25philosophy that places race at the
1063. 32:27center of American history and culture
1064. 32:28CRT is akin to racial Marxism with
1065. 32:30whites viewed as oppressors and
1066. 32:31non-whites framed as the oppressed in
1067. 32:34the great parent Revolt we profile more
  1068. 32:35than a dozen parent students in
1069. 32:36Grassroots leaders who have courageously
1070. 32:38fought up and fought stood up and fought
1071. 32:39CRT one unlikely hero is gabs Clark a
  1072. 32:42widowed low-income African-American
1073. 32:43mother of five children who had been
1074. 32:45living in a motel in Las Vegas her high
1075. 32:47school age son William was in a local
  1076. 32:48charter school which required a course
1077. 32:50called sociology of change according to
  1078. 32:52Clark a course included an assignment
1079. 32:53that asked students to list your
1080. 32:54identities you erase your gender your
1081. 32:56sexual orientation your religion William
1082. 32:58who's mixed race with blonde hair and
1083. 33:00blue eyes refused to complete the
1084. 33:01assignment and was given a failing grade
1085. 33:02for the class which kept him from
1086. 33:04graduating according to Clark because of
1087. 33:06his fair complexion the class viewed her
1088. 33:07son as a dirty filthy oppressor Clark
  1089. 33:09filed a federal lawsuit charging the
  1090. 33:11school violating William's First
  1091. 33:12Amendment Free Speech rights 14th
1092. 33:13Amendment equal protection rights and
  1093. 33:15federal anti-discrimination rights for
1094. 33:16compelling him to complete the
1095. 33:17race-based assignment the case of sins
1096. 33:19been settled out of court
1097. 33:21and this sort of stuff is going to
1098. 33:22happen more and more commonly because
1099. 33:23parents are going to stand up because if
  1100. 33:25they don't they're going to lose their
1101. 33:26kids to this perverse world view which
  1102. 33:29is it's not only immoral it's wildly
1103. 33:31ineffective at achieving even its stated
  1104. 33:33goals
1105. 33:34now this is the sort of stuff that
1106. 33:36should theoretically make Democrats more
1107. 33:37unpopular because Democrats were not in
1108. 33:40fact punished for their radicalism since
1109. 33:422020 since the black lives matter Riots
  1110. 33:44of mid-2020 they've not been punished
1111. 33:46for the sexual indoctrination of
  1112. 33:47children they've not been punished for
1113. 33:49any of this right they avoided the
  1114. 33:50guillotine in 2020 and then in 2020 and
  1115. 33:53then
1116. 33:53may also avoided the guillotine in 2022.
1117. 33:57so that means that Joe Biden is is going
1118. 34:00strong on this he's moving harshly to
1119. 34:02his left at least in terms of his
1120. 34:04rhetoric on a wide variety of issues
1121. 34:05we'll see how he how this pays off from
  1122. 34:07it's a bold strategy Todd and we'll get
1123. 34:08to that in just a moment first bad news
1124. 34:10for you you will die I know I've been in

  1166. 35:16policygenius.com Shapiro well folks
1167. 35:19Friday was the anniversary of one of the
1168. 35:20greatest moments in Daily wire history
1169. 35:22after months of us leading the legal
1170. 35:24battle against the federal government
1171. 35:25and a national do not comply campaign
1172. 35:27the Supreme Court ruled in our favor and
  1173. 35:29blocked the Biden administration's
  1174. 35:30outrageous and ridiculous vaccine
1175. 35:31mandate that mandate would have set a
  1176. 35:33dangerous precedent giving unelected
1177. 35:35OSHA bureaucrats power over the personal
1178. 35:36medical decisions of American citizens
1179. 35:38the Supreme Court recognized it was a
1180. 35:40gross paragraph they made the right
1181. 35:41decision we are proud to have led the
1182. 35:42charge in this fight we were the first
1183. 35:44major company in the United States to
  1184. 35:45file a lawsuit against the Biden
1185. 35:47Administration and their garbage OSHA
1186. 35:49mandate thousands of you joined the
  1187. 35:51daily wire over a million Americans
1188. 35:52signed our petition against the mandates
1189. 35:54to celebrate we are offering 40 off our
1190. 35:56annual memberships with the code code do
1191. 35:58not comply listen at this company there
1192. 36:01are wide variety of views on vaccines
1193. 36:03but there's one thing there was no
1194. 36:04argument about forcing other people to
1195. 36:06take an experimental vaccine that had
1196. 36:09not been proven out was a mistake and
1197. 36:11the attempt by the federal government to
1198. 36:12push that was garbage and tyranny so
1199. 36:15help us celebrate one of the greatest
1200. 36:16moments in Daily wire history with 40
1201. 36:18off on your annual membership join now
  1202. 36:20at dailywire.com subscribe join the
1203. 36:22winning team as we continue to crush the
1204. 36:24left remember do not comply for 40 off
1205. 36:26do not comply is the code already so
1206. 36:29meanwhile while the bubble left
1207. 36:32revivifies its radical bona fide ease in
1208. 36:35the aftermath of the 2022 election Joe
1209. 36:36Biden is no exception he was out there
1210. 36:38giving speeches yesterday on civil
1211. 36:40rights and he talked about being woke
  1212. 36:42they said I'm not woke I'm just honest
1213. 36:44well no you are woke and by necessity
1214. 36:46dishonest this is him speaking
1215. 36:47apparently the National Action Network
  1216. 36:49which is Al Sharpton's grift group
1217. 36:52to make Juneteenth the First new federal
1218. 36:55holiday since the establishment of Dr
  1219. 36:57Keith
1220. 37:02idea if we can hold a second here the
  1221. 37:04idea
  1222. 37:06that we're supposed to remain silent
1223. 37:08on the on on the abuses of the past
  1224. 37:12as they didn't as if they didn't occur
  1225. 37:16that's not being woke that's being
  1226. 37:17honest
  1227. 37:19that's talking about history
1228. 37:22well folks but we have a lot of
1229. 37:24Unfinished work to do though
1230. 37:26a lot of Unfinished work
  1231. 37:30oh well it's always unfinched for
  1232. 37:31example it's not being woke it's being
1233. 37:33honest to suggest that we need some form
  1234. 37:35of additional government interventionism
1235. 37:37more government spending more racial
1236. 37:39reparations I urge the Democrats to run
1237. 37:41on this in a time of economic turmoil
1238. 37:43we're about to see a recession breakout
1239. 37:45in the United States okay real recession
1240. 37:46breakout in the United States most
1241. 37:48economists are foreseeing that at this
1242. 37:49point earnings are way way way down at a
1243. 37:52variety of companies so I urge President
1244. 37:54Biden to run on redistribution of income
1245. 37:56and massive welfare payment and transfer
  1246. 37:58payment that'll be fascinating and to
1247. 38:00say that's being honest not being woke
1248. 38:02but he wasn't stopping there for some
1249. 38:04odd reason he decided to go sort of into
1250. 38:06his Litany of giant government programs
1251. 38:08which is a strange thing to do but he
1252. 38:11didn't stop him so uh he he gave his
1253. 38:13usual shtick about how he wants to ban
  1254. 38:15AR-15s and particularly how you don't
1255. 38:17need an AR-15 because he will just blow
1256. 38:19you up with an F-15 which is um not I
1257. 38:22think the like if you're encouraging me
1258. 38:24to give up my gun to resist government
1259. 38:26tyranny and your argument is I could
1260. 38:28just nuke your house you're not actively
1261. 38:31achieving what you seek to achieve with
  1262. 38:33this particular argument
1263. 38:35I am going to get assault weapons banned
1264. 38:38I did it once I'm going to do it again
  1265. 38:41there's no you're not social redeeming
  1266. 38:44value
  1267. 38:45deer aren't wearing Kevlar vests out
1268. 38:48there what the hell you need a assault
1269. 38:50no I'm serious give me if you need to
1270. 38:52work about taking on the federal
  1271. 38:54government you need some f-15s you don't
  1272. 38:56need an RAR 15. I'm serious think about
  1273. 39:00it
  1274. 39:02anyway
1275. 39:03think about how think about you don't
  1276. 39:06you don't need it and I could just I
1277. 39:07could just use a MOAB mother of all box
1278. 39:10just drop it on your house and kill your
  1279. 39:11children you don't need an AR-15 to
  1280. 39:13defend against me I'm a nice old man
  1281. 39:15who's threatening you with a nuclear
  1282. 39:17Arsenal
  1283. 39:19[Music]
1284. 39:20yes this is the way by the way Joe Biden
1285. 39:23um he could have tried to be on assault
1286. 39:24weapons I noticed that he had control of
1287. 39:26the Senate as well as the house about
1288. 39:28five minutes ago he did not achieve it
1289. 39:29so no he's not going to ban assault
1290. 39:31weapons in the United States not just
1291. 39:32that Joe Biden also wants more IRS
1292. 39:34agents we need more IRS agents guys I
1293. 39:36know that this is something that you're
  1294. 39:37all enthusiastic about I I don't know
1295. 39:39about you I love the IRS the IRS is
1296. 39:40great and what we need is more IRS
1297. 39:42agents more combing through your old
1298. 39:44restaurant deductions and trying to
1299. 39:46figure out whether or not you cheated on
1300. 39:48your taxes to the tune of 12.99 we
1301. 39:50really have to find out whether that
1302. 39:51burger was at a business lunch or
1303. 39:52whether you're just kind of jabbing the
1304. 39:54system here is Joe Biden talking about
1305. 39:55how we need to spend hundreds of
  1306. 39:57millions of dollars to hire 87 000 new
1307. 40:00IRS members many of whom it will in fact
1308. 40:01be agents despite their lies
1309. 40:04you know all these new IRS agents we
1310. 40:07have is because they fired a lot of them
1311. 40:10and a lot of retiring and guess what
1312. 40:13who needs serious agents to know what
1313. 40:16they're doing or not doing
  1314. 40:18the billionaires the
  1315. 40:20multi-multi-millionaires
1316. 40:23hmm yeah he keeps saying they're just
1317. 40:26going to audit the very very rich people
1318. 40:27that is not true one of the great lies
1319. 40:29the Democrats like to tell is that there
1320. 40:30are enough rich people in the United
1321. 40:31States to pay for all of the kind of
1322. 40:33programs that Joe Biden wants to pay for
1323. 40:35and the answer is that no there aren't
1324. 40:37there are not in order for you to
1325. 40:38achieve the kind of spending and the
1326. 40:40kind of utopian redistribution of
1327. 40:42schemes that the Joe Biden wants you
1328. 40:43have to have Scandinavian style tax
1329. 40:45programs the only person in American
1330. 40:47politics is actually honest about this
  1331. 40:48is Bernie Sanders which is why he's a
1332. 40:50fringe old Kook from Vermont
1333. 40:52because Bernie at least has the stones
  1334. 40:53to say
1335. 40:55we're going past the toxic person who
1336. 40:58makes sixty thousand dollars a year at
  1337. 40:59seventy percent that's just the way it's
1338. 41:01going to go you'll have one type of
1339. 41:02bread at the stall I do need seven types
1340. 41:04of bread you don't need Rye rice Bud
1341. 41:07you'll need white bread maybe a little
1342. 41:09nope nope we do not have money for
1343. 41:11sourdough so like at least Bernie is
1344. 41:13honest but Democrats are like like Biden
1345. 41:16are just dishonest we need IRS agents
1346. 41:18that they can audit the very rich people
1347. 41:19so the very rich people can pay for
  1348. 41:20these programs it's a lie it's not going
1349. 41:22to be the very rich people paying for
1350. 41:23the programs you will pay for the
1351. 41:24programs through higher inflation rates
1352. 41:26you'll pay through the pro for the
  1353. 41:28programs
1354. 41:28through lower economic growth or through
1355. 41:31higher taxes right these are that's just
1356. 41:32the way that this is going to go
1357. 41:34Joe Biden then claimed that Republicans
  1358. 41:36are quote unquote fiscally demented I
1359. 41:38mean if there's one person who should
  1360. 41:40know dementia it's Joe Biden so I
1361. 41:41suppose this makes some sense here we go
1362. 41:43I reduced the deficit last year
  1363. 41:47350 billion dollars
  1364. 41:50and this year
1365. 41:52Federal deficit is down one trillion
  1366. 41:56plus dollars
  1367. 41:58hear me that's a fact
1368. 42:01and there's going to be hundreds of
1369. 42:02billions reduced over the next decade
1370. 42:04but so what these guys are the
1371. 42:06fiscalator you know the fiscally
  1372. 42:08demented I think they don't
  1373. 42:11they don't quite get it
1374. 42:14kind of like me when I and I look at my
  1375. 42:18churros in the morning and I I had a few
1376. 42:20words I said one long long word it says
  1377. 42:23oh
1378. 42:24every time I look at my oh
1379. 42:27so all the letters in my Cheerios spell
1380. 42:30dementia is a thing not kidding guys
1381. 42:34um just just to make clear that I'm not
1382. 42:36just making fun of Joe Biden for being
1383. 42:37old I'm also making fun of him for being
1384. 42:39um demented here is Joe Biden flubbing
  1385. 42:41over and over yesterday
  1386. 42:45hello hello hello
  1387. 42:48no ho okay
1388. 42:54uh also he uh he forgot who he was
1389. 42:57singing happy birthday to yesterday also
1390. 42:58so it went amazing when things are going
  1391. 43:00great guys
1392. 43:02well look my wife has a rule in her
  1393. 43:04family
  1394. 43:05when somebody's birthday sing happy
1395. 43:07birthday you ready happy birthday to you
1396. 43:12happy birthday to you happy birthday
  1397. 43:19happy birthday to you
  1398. 43:24happy birthday dear
  1399. 43:27yeah
  1400. 43:29yeah about Herman
1401. 43:33just sound stuff there from the pro but
1402. 43:35but at least he has a world beating
1403. 43:36agenda it is amazing the attempt to
1404. 43:38transform this uh daughtering old fool
1405. 43:40into one of the world's great presidents
1406. 43:41and people are actually attempting to do
1407. 43:43this they really are we will see how
1408. 43:45that works out for them it is again a
1409. 43:46bold plan hey speaking of bull plans
1410. 43:49there was an amazing clip of Sam Harris
1411. 43:52making the rounds yesterday Sam has gone
1412. 43:54off the rails in the past several years
1413. 43:55he was basically driven over the edge by
1414. 43:57the election of Donald Trump in 2016. uh
  1415. 44:00and uh Sam Harris who's been a famous
1416. 44:03advocate in favor of everything from
1417. 44:05lockdowns to mask mandates with regard
1418. 44:07to vaccines and and masking regiments
  1419. 44:09and all the rest
1420. 44:11um yesterday he was trying to make the
1421. 44:12case that Cove that we wouldn't have any
1422. 44:15vax skepticism if covet had been killing
1423. 44:17more kids we wouldn't have had any any
1424. 44:19vac skepticism if if we wouldn't have
1425. 44:21mask skepticism if it had been killing
1426. 44:23more kids or if the death rate were
1427. 44:24higher Oh you mean if the conditions
1428. 44:25were different we might have different
1429. 44:27viewpoints you may why why no you
1430. 44:30shocked me sir here's Sam Harris though
1431. 44:33unwilling to walk back his own positions
1432. 44:34on for example should there be Vex
1433. 44:36mandates based on the science instead
  1434. 44:39creating
1435. 44:40bizarre hypotheticals in which the
1436. 44:42vaccines were in fact doing the things
  1437. 44:45they promised to do
  1438. 44:47if kids were dying
1439. 44:49by the hundreds of thousands from from
1440. 44:51covid at a rate of whatever it was you
  1441. 44:55know one percent say
1442. 44:57um but it was pretty much all kids
1443. 45:00we we would have had a very different
  1444. 45:03experience let's say the vaccines really
1445. 45:05did block transmission but then nothing
  1446. 45:07else
1447. 45:08was you know all of the other mishigas
1448. 45:10about how you know untested they are and
1449. 45:12how dangerous they it might be and the
1450. 45:14spike protein and blah blah blah the the
1451. 45:17conspiracy thinking the platforming of
1452. 45:19people who were obviously unwell and
  1453. 45:22unbalanced professionally and mentally
1454. 45:25around vaccines and their skepticism
1455. 45:29the patience for that would have been
  1456. 45:32non-existent
1457. 45:34so in other words if in fact this
1458. 45:36disease had been something completely
1459. 45:38different and the vaccines had been
1460. 45:39something completely different than we
1461. 45:40might have treated it differently
  1462. 45:42well yes that's that's sort of the point
1463. 45:44but the point now is that it's clear
1464. 45:45that the vaccines did not do what they
1465. 45:47had promised to do namely stop or slow
1466. 45:49Transmission in any serious way it is
1467. 45:51now clear and it was very clear at the
1468. 45:52very beginning that this thing was not
1469. 45:53killing kids that it was predominantly
1470. 45:55killing the very elderly which meant
1471. 45:57that you could shield and protect those
1472. 45:58people while allowing everybody else to
1473. 45:59go about their lives which was actually
1474. 46:00the preferred policy of this show and
1475. 46:02the prepared policy throughout the
1476. 46:04pandemic of people like Jay bhattacharya
  1477. 46:06at Stanford University in fact there's
1478. 46:08so many people who who have to uphold
1479. 46:09the idea that they were right all along
1480. 46:11and if only you squint bizarrely through
1481. 46:14sort of a cracked glass then you come up
1482. 46:16with the proper solution which that they
  1483. 46:18were right
1484. 46:19guys maybe it is that you that what you
1485. 46:22promised just did not materialize
1486. 46:23because the facts were not on your side
1487. 46:25and so your hypotheticals are of no
1488. 46:26consequence whatsoever speaking of which
1489. 46:28by the way brand new study out from the
1490. 46:30Wall Street Journal and you know what it
  1491. 46:32says it says I know we weren't allowed
1492. 46:33to say this during the pandemic if
1493. 46:35you're less fat you died less often of
1494. 46:37covet I know this is shocking it is a
1495. 46:40shocking circumstance quote people who
1496. 46:42exercise regularly had lower rates of
  1497. 46:44hospitalization and death from covid-19
1498. 46:45in a study published recently in the
1499. 46:47American Journal of preventive medicine
1500. 46:48regular exercise improves overall health
1501. 46:51and healthier people generally have
1502. 46:52fewer serious complications with cover
1503. 46:5319. earlier research has shown in
1504. 46:55association between exercise and better
1505. 46:57covid-19 outcomes this latest study goes
1506. 46:59a step further and suggests that even
1507. 47:00people whose age and or health
1508. 47:01conditions make them higher risk have
1509. 47:03better outcomes if they are regular
  1510. 47:04exercisers you don't say you don't you
1511. 47:07mean healthier people died less often
1512. 47:09that that is that is crazy talk by the
  1513. 47:11way everyone knew this
1514. 47:12my parents were both 64 when this thing
  1515. 47:15broke out
1516. 47:16and my dad he felt like he wanted to
1517. 47:18drop some pounds specifically so he
1518. 47:19would not be in a higher risk group in
1519. 47:21terms of his weight so he started
1520. 47:23exercising a lot more regularly this was
1521. 47:24a smart move by my father
1522. 47:26a lot of other people should have done
1523. 47:27this Joe Rogan was encouraging this and
1524. 47:29then people laughed at him how dare you
1525. 47:30say that exercise is a cure for disease
1526. 47:32Joe never said that exercise is a cure
1527. 47:34for disease he said that exercise is a
1528. 47:36great way of preventing you from getting
1529. 47:37a serious version of the disease because
1530. 47:39your body is less vulnerable
1531. 47:41but this was considered verboten right
1532. 47:43they had to shut down all the gems
1533. 47:44because if you go to the gym you might
1534. 47:46get infected with covid as opposed to if
1535. 47:48you go to the gym you might exercise and
1536. 47:49then be less vulnerable to covid because
  1537. 47:51you're not a fatso
1538. 47:52by the way it is really incredible how
  1539. 47:55much of the left-wing Viewpoint with
1540. 47:57regard to health policy is predicated on
1541. 47:58ignoring the fact that America is an
  1542. 48:00enormously fat country
1543. 48:01so much of our Healthcare policy is
1544. 48:03predicated on just pretending that
1545. 48:04America is not fat and that we don't
1546. 48:06have horrible eating habits we are fat
1547. 48:07we have horrible eating habits here in
  1548. 48:09the United States
1549. 48:10so for example the entire push for
1550. 48:12nationalized Health Care along the lines
1551. 48:14of Finland or Sweden or Norway you want
1552. 48:17to know one reason why they have better
  1553. 48:19health outcomes over there it's because
1554. 48:20they aren't as fat as we are 40 percent
1555. 48:23of America is at least in the seriously
  1556. 48:25overweight to obese category
1557. 48:28that is why people are dying at
1558. 48:29outside's rates in the United States if
1559. 48:30you go into young healthy communities so
1560. 48:33you're comparing Apples to Apples with
1561. 48:34other countries that have better health
  1562. 48:35outcomes what you'll find is that
1563. 48:37America actually has excellent Health
1564. 48:38outcomes in other words swedes in the
1565. 48:39United States are very healthy in fact
1566. 48:42they probably have just as high lifetime
  1567. 48:44expectations
1568. 48:45maybe higher than they would in Sweden
1569. 48:48you cannot compare populations without
1570. 48:50recommend without recognizing that the
1571. 48:51populations may be different in their
1572. 48:53health habits maybe different in their
  1573. 48:54genetics
1574. 48:55it is a simple fact that there are
1575. 48:58certain diseases that attack certain
  1576. 49:00populations at a differential rate
1577. 49:02so not comparing Apples to Apples is a
1578. 49:05huge mistake with all of this but again
1579. 49:07so much of our public policy is rooted
1580. 49:09in the idea that if you notice
1581. 49:10differences between people this is in
1582. 49:13and of itself racist inequitable
  1583. 49:15problematic
1584. 49:16and that makes for a horrible public
  1585. 49:18policy whether you're talking about
1586. 49:19health rate about slavery reparations
1587. 49:20whether you're talking about any of this
  1588. 49:21stuff
1589. 49:22the difference is in people's habits the
1590. 49:24differences in what people do the
1591. 49:25differences in the choices people make
1592. 49:26those are the predominant factors in how
1593. 49:28their life goes and attempting to cure
1594. 49:30all that with broad public policy
  1595. 49:32mandates redistributionist measures it
1596. 49:34is bound to fail alrighty guys the rest
1597. 49:36of the show is continuing now you're not
1598. 49:38going to want to miss it we are going to
1599. 49:40get to disaster breaking out in terms of
1600. 49:42the Chinese economy their population is
