1. 0:00if you turn on the television or look at
2. 0:02your Facebook feed it's very clear that
3. 0:05we live in a broken world there's a lot
4. 0:07of death a lot of disease and suffering
5. 0:11but we also see traces of beauty like
6. 0:15the beauty of a sunset or the laughs of
7. 0:18a child and that's because God's design
8. 0:22was perfect when he made it there was no
9. 0:25death or disease or suffering but
10. 0:29starting with the very first people we
11. 0:33as humans chose to go our own way and
12. 0:36leave God's perfect design and that's
13. 0:40called sin and and sin is what led to
14. 0:45brokenness in our world and us and
15. 0:47sinfulness well we don't like to be in
16. 0:50brokenness this state that we're born in
17. 0:52so we try to get out so for some they
18. 0:57try to get out on their own by climbing
19. 0:59the ladder of success at work or school
20. 1:01thinking that'll get them out others try
21. 1:04to get out themselves by doing good
22. 1:06things or being religious and going to
23. 1:08church and helping people and while
24. 1:10those are great things they they don't
25. 1:12get us out of brokenness some try to
26. 1:16drown out the brokenness with drugs and
27. 1:19alcohol or attempts at suicide or or
28. 1:21maybe even relationships and these
29. 1:24attempts to get out of brokenness
30. 1:25ourselves end up snapping us back in
31. 1:28like a bungee cord but God loved us so
32. 1:31much he didn't want us to stay in
33. 1:33brokenness so he did for us what we
34. 1:37could not do for ourselves he provided
35. 1:39the only way out and that is through His
36. 1:42Son Jesus
37. 1:44you see Jesus came down into our world
38. 1:48and allowed himself to be killed on a
39. 1:50cross taking on our sin and three days
40. 1:54later he rose from the dead and he
41. 1:58declared that if anyone would turn from
42. 2:00their way and surrender to him and
43. 2:02believe that Jesus came and died on the
44. 2:05cross and rose from the dead would be
45. 2:07willing to make him their king or their
46. 2:10Lord that they would be forgiven
47. 2:13and made new and would then be able to
48. 2:20experience God's perfect design for
49. 2:22their life now I want to ask you which
50. 2:27of these two would you say you're in are
51. 2:30you still in brokenness or have you
52. 2:33repented and believed in Jesus and are
53. 2:35now back in his design okay you're in
54. 2:38brokenness well which one of these two
55. 2:40do you want to be in okay great well is
56. 2:44there anything that keeps you from
57. 2:46turning from your way and believing in
58. 2:49the gospel of Jesus and making him your
59. 2:53Lord your king okay great you know when
60. 2:56I chose to make this decision I prayed a
61. 2:58simple prayer very similar to this
62. 3:00picture I just told God that I'm sorry
63. 3:03for my sin that I left your design and
64. 3:06for the ways that I've tried to get out
65. 3:08of brokenness on my own I'm ready to
66. 3:10turn from my way and surrender to you
67. 3:13and I believe this is true and I want to
68. 3:17make you my lord so I can become new and
69. 3:19experience your design for my life is
70. 3:22that something you'd like to do and then
71. 3:25just pray with them so this is the three
