2. 0:01struck something solid.
3. 0:05As he pried away the dirt, he could see
4. 0:07it shining.
5. 0:09When he plucked it loose,
6. 0:12it felt strangely heavy in his hand.
7. 0:16He noticed that there was a crack on the
8. 0:18side with light coming [music] out of
9. 0:20it.
10. 0:21And when he touched it,
11. 0:23it sliced his finger clean.
12. 0:26It looked like the bottom was meant to
13. 0:28turn, but as he twisted it, the center
14. 0:31lifted out.
15. 0:33And when he pressed it,
16. 0:36his cut was gone.
17. 0:39He didn't understand.
18. 0:42So, he tried it again.
19. 0:49The world was rewinding with each press.
20. 0:56He started to panic.
21. 1:11>> Hey, watch your step.
22. 1:13>> He had no idea what this thing was,
23. 1:17but he did wonder what else he could use
24. 1:20it for.
25. 1:26>> [music]
26. 1:32>> He was on top of the world,
27. 1:35but from his side, it was a different
28. 1:37story.

34. 2:02he felt like a king.
35. 2:04And now, he wanted more.
36. 2:09He noticed a girl at the bar
37. 2:11and decided to try his luck.
38. 2:20He tested out a few pickup lines,
39. 2:22ones he'd always wanted to try.
40. 2:26And when they did actually start to
41. 2:28work,
42. 2:29well, he ran into different problems.
43. 2:34Even with the dial, this was tough.
44. 2:38Until he met her by accident.
45. 2:42They talked for hours
46. 2:45and he even got her number.

64. 4:28Held it firmly in his hand.
65. 4:31And then he dropped.
66. 4:39He felt exhilarated.
67. 4:42But it wasn't enough.
68. 4:45He wanted more.
69. 4:49He waited until everyone left for the
70. 4:51day.
71. 4:53And then he started to climb.
