3. 0:05murder trial of Alec Murdock we have
4. 0:07Team coverage tonight in Colleton County
5. 0:09but we are first going to start with
6. 0:12Rachel rip talking about this amazing
7. 0:15video that the viewers or that the
8. 0:17jurors heard for the first time today
9. 0:19getting to hear Alex voice Rachel

11. 0:27four in the double murder trial of Alec
12. 0:29Murdoch something new we know now is
13. 0:31that the prosecution plans to rest their
14. 0:34case first thing tomorrow morning now
15. 0:37the first person to the stand today was
16. 0:39sled lead investigator agent David Owen
17. 0:43now the morning began with judge Clifton
18. 0:45Newman ruling that any additional
19. 0:47testimony about the roadside shooting
20. 0:49incident in September 2021 would not be
21. 0:52allowed in the trial for the time being
22. 0:54but that this could change Owen took the
23. 0:57stand shortly after testifying that Alec
24. 0:59had no trouble understanding Owen's
25. 1:01questions and that he had timely answers
26. 1:04in several of his interviews with sled
27. 1:05Owen added that he took Alex clothes the
28. 1:08night of the murders and watched him
29. 1:09change the prosecution team then played
30. 1:12a long video clip of Alex interview with
31. 1:14sled on August 11 2021 two months after
32. 1:18the killings Alex says that Maggie came
33. 1:20home the night of the murders because
34. 1:22she was worried about him and that Alec
35. 1:24was worried about his dad and his
36. 1:26parents health this contradicts the
37. 1:28testimony yesterday of Maggie Murdoch's
38. 1:30sister Marion she said Maggie came home
39. 1:33to the family Moselle property because
40. 1:35Alec wanted her to in this same video
41. 1:38interview Alec asked Owen what exactly
42. 1:40happened the night of the murders
43. 1:58Maggie was shot first he thought Alex
44. 2:01stated that he thought Maggie was shot
45. 2:02first because she'd been shot in the
46. 2:04back of the head
