- 0:01ABBY LEE MILLER (VOICEOVER): Previously on "Dance Moms."
- 0:02Nice job, Chloe.
- 0:04Replace us, that's fine.
- 0:05Chloe made a mistake.
- 0:06She dropped her hat.
- 0:08Chloe is suspended.
- 0:09So is her mother.
- 0:10Such terrible language.
- 0:11Don't talk to another woman like that.
- 0:13Thank you. Thank you.
- 0:14I wouldn't [inaudible]
- 0:15I think she's immature and I think she
- 0:16needs to grow up a little bit.
- 0:17If you didn't walk in her shoes when she couldn't walk.
- 0:19I'm this far from pulling the duet.
- 0:20You are a monstrosity of evil.
- 0:22You're done. You're done.
- 0:24No duet.
- 0:24Shut your mouth.
- 0:25Shut your mouth.
- 0:27Get out.
- 0:28Get lost, bitch.
- 0:29ABBY LEE MILLER (VOICEOVER): Coming up on "Dance Moms."
- 0:31They don't self-motivate themselves.
- 0:33They don't get out there and work on it.
- 0:35When do you want them to work on it?
- 0:36All I wanted was a phone call from you.
- 0:38I wanted to ask you if Paige and I can
- 0:40do the duet this weekend?
- 0:42Let me think about it.
- 0:43I'm not saying no.
- 0:44Lock the back knee in the lunge.
- 0:46Oh, somebody's foot was flexed.
- 0:48Don't give her the power to upset you.
- 0:49My daughter has a name.
- 0:51- So do you. - Yeah.
- 0:53Starts with a B.
- 0:54I sat in a parking lot for you and you weren't here.
- 0:57I was sticking up for you.
- 0:58You should have called me.
- 0:59[MUSIC - NIKKO LOWE, "LIVING ON THE DANCE FLOOR"]
- 1:02(SINGING) Get up.
- 1:03Get on the floor.
- 1:05My world is with my girls, living on the dance floor.
- 1:11[music continuing]
- 1:17All right.
- 1:18Let's rock and roll.
- 1:20Hello.
- 1:21It's apparent that Christi and Chloe are not here.
- 1:23They were suspended last week.
- 1:25We need Christi and Chloe as part of the team.
- 1:28They are part of the team.
- 1:29Without them, the team's not complete.
- 1:32So Kelly, have you talked to Christi?
- 1:33No. She won't call me.
- 1:35I hope she comes back.
- 1:38Have you talked to Christi?
- 1:39You know, I talked her for a few moments yesterday.
- 1:42Just for a little bit, not very long.
- 1:44Did she mention my name at all?
- 1:46She did not.
- 1:49It's going to be really awkward
- 1:50this week because I tried calling Christi.
- 1:53I tried texting her.
- 1:54She didn't answer me back.
- 1:57I don't even know what to say to her.
- 1:58OK, you're sure you want to go back in there?
- 2:02I want to walk into that studio like I want a stiletto jammed
- 2:05in my eyeball.
- 2:06But we're back because Chloe wants to dance,
- 2:09and I don't do this for myself.
- 2:10I do it for my daughter.
- 2:12Hello.
- 2:13Hi.
- 2:19May I speak with you in private?
- 2:23[screams]
- 2:24Chloe.
- 2:26Chloe.
- 2:27Wow, look who's here.
- 2:29What a welcome.
- 2:31Well, Abby, since you're not going to speak to me,
- 2:33I'm going to speak at you.
- 2:35Chloe is here because she's a member of the team.
- 2:38I am sorry for my behavior in the hallway
- 2:42and at the competition.
- 2:44And I have talked to the competition.
- 2:47I've apologized.
- 2:48I've spoken to the director.
- 2:49And you should, in no way, shape, or form,
- 2:51hold that against Chloe.
- 2:53[laughs]
- 2:55Or at least I would think you should know that.
- 2:57I would think your mother would have taught you better.
- 3:00OK, I'm going to go in because this is my job
- 3:04and I am to be here.
- 3:12Hey.
- 3:14Hello. - Hi.
- 3:16How's it going?
- 3:17I heard you were talking to Abby.
- 3:18No, I was talking at Abby.
- 3:19She won't speak to me.
- 3:21Oh.
- 3:21Sometimes it's better that way.
- 3:23That woman thinks that I'm going
- 3:24to give her the time of day.
- 3:26How dare her even walk into this studio.
- 3:28She has [bleep] big [bleep] like a man,
- 3:32because that's what she is.
- 3:33She is disgusting.
- 3:34Where have you been?
- 3:36What have you been up to?
- 3:37I don't know.
- 3:38We'll talk upstairs.
- 3:42No need for applause.
- 3:43Let's go.
- 3:44[laughs]
- 3:45When I come back in the studio,
- 3:47everyone's really excited to see me, except Kelly,
- 3:49and you would think that Kelly should've been the one who
- 3:52is most excited to see me.
- 3:53All right.
- 3:54You know, they told me that Detroit was a tough city.
- 3:59Well, it was.
- 4:01You weren't the big winners.
- 4:03You got beat.
- 4:04Your champion winner will be "Top of the World" entry number
- 4:0789.
- 4:11Third place.
- 4:13Cathy is a fake and a phony.
- 4:16She calls herself a choreographer?
- 4:18She's an embarrassment to my vocation.
- 4:22I think the loss to Cathy's all-boy team was tough on Abby.
- 4:27To be honest with you, I think she did not like
- 4:29losing to a group of all boys.
- 4:32And then we had a duet, but I can't really talk about it
- 4:35because it didn't happen.
- 4:37I pulled the duet.
- 4:39If your mother is out of control, you don't dance.
- 4:43And Abby, that is fine.
- 4:45I do want it noted on your record
- 4:47that I was defending my daughter because you were being
- 4:50insensitive about her health issues.
- 4:52That's what my disagreement with you was.
- 4:54So let's just say I'm not putting up with it anymore.
- 5:00We've had a member of the team suspended.
- 5:03You all know what suspended is.
- 5:06It's like the last chance before dismissal.
- 5:10Let's move on to the pyramid.
- 5:12Chloe, obviously, you were not on the pyramid.
- 5:15On the bottom, Nia.
- 5:18You should have expected to be there.
- 5:22Paige kind of got thrown under the bus with the duet.
- 5:27Next we have Kendall.
- 5:31Now Kendall, you were given a solo.
- 5:34You didn't even make the top 10.
- 5:36Alexandra, "Below Zero."
- 5:42Do I just keep giving you a solo?
- 5:44No.
- 5:45Next, Mackenzie.
- 5:48I told you I wasn't going to put you in the groups
- 5:50anymore because you are the weak link.
- 5:54This time I thought you were excellent.
- 5:58And moving next, Brooke.
- 6:02It was the first time you were officially on the team.
- 6:09I thought the parts that you did in the routine that were
- 6:12your solo spots were excellent.
- 6:16But I need you still to be more of a role model, understood?
- 6:22And at the top of the pyramid, Maddie.
- 6:26You have not had a solo for weeks.
- 6:28Your highest scoring solo tonight
- 6:30will be Maddie with "Quick Sand."
- 6:34It's tough getting there.
- 6:36It's even tougher staying there, and you know that.
- 6:41We will be attending In10sity Dance in Fort Lauderdale,
- 6:46Florida.
- 6:48[inaudible]
- 6:49Everybody will be in the group dance.
- 6:51Now, the group routine is a contemporary piece.
- 6:54The name of the routine is "Money
- 6:57is the Root of All Evil."
- 7:00I really don't know about the group routine
- 7:02this week, "Money is the Root of All Evil."
- 7:04I don't really equate money with evil.
- 7:06Abby, yes.
- 7:07Money, no.
- 7:09Moms, the costumes are emerald green,
- 7:12like the color of money or envy.
- 7:16And they're going to need some work.
- 7:18We need headpieces.
- 7:19We need trim.
- 7:21And you'll be using actual real money on the costume.
- 7:25I don't know about this idea of putting real money
- 7:27on these costumes.
- 7:29We spend enough money on costumes as it is.
- 7:31This is going to be an expensive week.
- 7:34Maddie, obviously, a solo is going to you.
- 7:38And the other solo is going to Brooke.
- 7:41[applause]
- 7:43This is Brooke's first solo for this competition season,
- 7:46and Brooke needs the show Abby that she
- 7:48wants to be part of this team.
- 7:50I think she needs to go out there and show her
- 7:52that she still loves to dance and she wants to be here.
- 7:55We have a lot of work to do.
- 7:56Moms, go ahead and go upstairs.
- 8:00Spread apart.
- 8:00We're doing a whole warm-up.
- 8:05Now ladies, think about this.
- 8:07It's bluesy, so think of being in a speakeasy or a nightclub.
- 8:15"Money is the Root of All Evil" is the name of our routine
- 8:18this week.
- 8:19Now, the routine is contemporary,
- 8:22but it has a little bit of flamboyancy to it
- 8:24and we're going to use real money all over the costumes.
- 8:28The faces have to come through, and we need to bring it all
- 8:32or we'll be counting the chump change on the way home.
- 8:35Make it bigger.
- 8:365, 6, 7, go.
- 8:38Duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh.
- 8:41Don't steal Maddie's pose.
- 8:43Of course our kids do not go to speakeasies or bars.
- 8:45I don't know what a speakeasy is.
- 8:47OK, a speakeasy, also called a blind pig or blind tiger,
- 8:51is an establishment that illegally
- 8:54sells alcoholic beverages.
- 8:56Such establishments came into prominence in the United States
- 9:00during the period known as Prohibition.
- 9:02I don't go to any that are illegal.
- 9:031920 to 1933.
- 9:05[laughter]
- 9:05Oh, [inaudible] illegal.
- 9:08At one point, Kelly, alcohol was prohibited.
- 9:11So that's why our kids have never been to a speakeasy.
- 9:15Besides the fact that they are under age
- 9:16and they wouldn't go into a bar.
- 9:18Yeah, but there's no such thing as a speakeasy.
- 9:1990 years ago.
- 9:20Yeah, it doesn't exist.
- 9:22I have to say, you know, I wasn't here last week
- 9:24and all of a sudden like I haven't
- 9:26felt more like an outsider in my life here.
- 9:29It was a pretty quiet week relatively,
- 9:32I would say, up until Saturday.
- 9:33And Saturday it was like I was in a Twilight Zone.
- 9:36It was bizarre.
- 9:37Just shut your mouth.
- 9:39I didn't mean to do that.
- 9:41I didn't mean to do that, either.
- 9:42Get out.
- 9:44You are a monstrosity of evil.
- 9:45You're done. No duet.
- 9:47It was bad.
- 9:48I thought Saturday was just a horrendous day all around.
- 9:50So why weren't you answering any of my phone calls
- 9:52or my texts all week?
- 9:55You called me once and I missed it.
- 9:57And I texted you a few times.
- 9:59No you didn't.
- 10:00Yeah, I did.
- 10:01Did I answer?
- 10:02No.
- 10:03Then I must not have gotten it because I answer your texts.
- 10:05CHRISTI: So why didn't you call me?
- 10:07I was having a bad week and I just
- 10:09was waiting for you to call, and if I missed one call then
- 10:13I'm sorry.
- 10:15ABBY LEE MILLER: 5, 6, 7, go.
- 10:17Duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, in.
- 10:19Too late, Mackenzie.
- 10:21I want you to be looking to the side, the floor,
- 10:24the opposite direction.
- 10:26Go ahead, chit chat away.
- 10:31So what just went on right there?
- 10:33I asked her why she didn't answer my phone calls.
- 10:35What did she say?
- 10:36She said she only got one and I didn't leave a message.
- 10:38I never leave her a message.
- 10:40When you see that you missed the call,
- 10:42you can really just call back.
- 10:44The I'm having a bad week thing isn't cutting it.
- 10:47CHRISTI: You know, I'm going to sit up here
- 10:49because I'm not playing games.
- 10:51I'm not.
- 10:52KELLY: I'm just saying how I don't understand why you were
- 10:56mad at me.
- 10:57I was mad at you about what happened
- 10:59and I was waiting for you to call me because of all this
- 11:01that was going on.
- 11:02I was just waiting for you to reach out to me.
- 11:04And I did.
- 11:05I'm not going to play with you about it.
- 11:07My feelings were hurt because you know how about this sucks.
- 11:09All I wanted was a phone call from you.
- 11:11That's all, Kelly.
- 11:12When you were going through [bleep],,
- 11:14I called you every day. - I did call you.
- 11:15On Friday.
- 11:16No, I didn't.
- 11:17I called you Sunday at the competition, the day you left.
- 11:21Yeah, you called me you said, oh, are you OK?
- 11:23I miss my partner in crime.
- 11:24That's all I wanted from you, Kelly.
- 11:26That's all.
- 11:30[music playing]
- 11:36[music playing]
- 11:44I'll tell you what, when I left,
- 11:46there was tension between you, Melissa, and Abby and Maddie.
- 11:50And it's like I came back and I feel like I'm back
- 11:53and everything is back to normal.
- 11:56Like Maddie's featured in the dance.
- 11:57She's happy.
- 11:58Abby's pleased with her.
- 11:59You seem like you're back on good terms with Abby.
- 12:01Like what happened there?
- 12:02I don't know.
- 12:03I mean, I argue and then things get better.
- 12:06I just think it's because she knows this is her team
- 12:09and, you know, we all need each other and she needs us.
- 12:13Do you think it's maybe because Sophia decided
- 12:15she didn't want to be part of our team
- 12:17and she realized that Maddie is what she got?
- 12:20Oh, yeah.
- 12:21I mean, Sophia's not here anymore
- 12:22and she knows that this is her team.
- 12:27It might be back to normal for Melissa and Maddie,
- 12:29but it's certainly not back to normal for Kelly and I.
- 12:31We're barely talking.
- 12:32I mean, we're not really even making eye contact.
- 12:35ABBY LEE MILLER: Oh, your knee's bent, Paige, because you should
- 12:40be on the outside of Nia.
- 12:41Let's move Kendall back in and pull her up a little taller.
- 12:46You, girl in the front, move over to the right.
- 12:48You shouldn't be center.
- 12:49Move.
- 12:50Abby won't refer to Chloe by her name.
- 12:53She keeps calling her "that girl" or "her" or "she."
- 12:55I mean, like how belittling can you get to not even say
- 12:58someone's name?
- 13:00I want to teach Chloe you can't take anything
- 13:02for granted, because even if you're gone,
- 13:05the show must go on.
- 13:07So Chloe, if you want me to remember your name,
- 13:10then you need to prove it to me that you can remember.
- 13:14All right, we're going to break right now.
- 13:16You have one more day to work on this dance and that's it,
- 13:19one more day.
- 13:20Thank you.
- 13:22Kel, come on.
- 13:23Come with me to go get the supplies.
- 13:24Will you come help me?
- 13:25KELLY: Yeah.
- 13:26I'm really concerned about what's going on
- 13:28with Kelly and Christi.
- 13:29It's crazy.
- 13:30So I'm going to ask her to come down to the costume shop.
- 13:33This is my opportunity to find out
- 13:34what's going on between Kelly and Christi
- 13:36and maybe I can help out.
- 13:38So what's going on with you and Christi?
- 13:41Nothing.
- 13:42She still isn't talking to me.
- 13:44Melissa, I didn't do anything wrong, and I tried calling her.
- 13:48I told her that today.
- 13:50I tried.
- 13:51I'm not doing it again.
- 13:53And I don't want to get in the middle of it, you know.
- 13:54Don't.
- 13:55I don't expect you to guy to get in the middle,
- 13:57but I tried calling her.
- 13:59She sent me to voicemail.
- 14:00She did not return my phone call.
- 14:02I'm done.
- 14:03It is what it is.
- 14:03She just has to get over it.
- 14:05And you didn't do anything wrong.
- 14:07I mean, we all have done, said things to each other
- 14:10to hurt each other's feelings.
- 14:11KELLY: Exactly.
- 14:12Let's get on with life. OK, come on.
- 14:14Let's go.
- 14:20[crying]
- 14:21What did she say?
- 14:25And she's being really mean to her.
- 14:27During rehearsal, Miss Abby really isn't acknowledging me
- 14:31and saying my name, and that really hurts my feelings
- 14:33because I'm still a person.
- 14:36Oh, Chloe.
- 14:39Abby's refusing to say Chloe's name because she feels
- 14:41that if she doesn't say Chloe's name,
- 14:43she takes away her importance.
- 14:47Don't give her that satisfaction, Chloe.
- 14:49Don't give her the power to upset you.
- 14:51Are you OK?
- 14:52Yeah.
- 14:52You sure?
- 14:55You're my daughter.
- 14:57Come on, you got a little bit of me in you.
- 14:59Buck up.
- 15:07Hurry up.
- 15:09Can't forget what to do there.
- 15:10You can screw yourself up.
- 15:12My solo this week is called "Careless,"
- 15:14and it's a lyrical number.
- 15:16Abby gave this to me because she knows I could care less
- 15:19about dance, so that is why I'm doing this solo.
- 15:23Don't d velopp .
- 15:24Just hold it and pull your head through.
- 15:26Now come down.
- 15:27Watch your alignment coming down.
- 15:29You're not straightening that right knee.
- 15:31Pull your feet.
- 15:32Pull your feet.
- 15:33Your feet, your feet, your feet.
- 15:36Abby doesn't teach her her dance early.
- 15:39She doesn't give her a lot of time during rehearsal.
- 15:42She gives her a song called "Careless"
- 15:44that makes Brooke feel like I guess I should care less.
- 15:47It just feels like she's setting her up.
- 15:49I just want you to work hard and care about whatever
- 15:53it is you want to do.
- 15:54Don't just be the average kid that falls through the cracks.
- 15:58Don't do anything half bleep.
- 16:01OK.
- 16:02All right, you're finished.
- 16:04Thank you.
- 16:05Go ahead and rest.
- 16:06Old ladies need lots of rest.
- 16:08Am I trying to jab her a little bit?
- 16:10Absolutely.
- 16:11Brooke, do you care or could you care less?
- 16:17We'll see.
- 16:19I'm pretty sad that we didn't get to do the duet last weekend
- 16:23because we did all that work, so I definitely
- 16:26want to do the duet.
- 16:28I'm going to go in and ask Abby if we can do the duet,
- 16:31because there's only three numbers
- 16:33and there's usually four.
- 16:35Nia wants to go ask Miss Abby if we can do our duet
- 16:37this week, and I'm very terrified for her
- 16:40because Abby can be a little scary at times.
- 16:45Who's that big girl, doing it all on her own?
- 16:48Last week, Abby pulled Nia's duet right
- 16:50before it was about to go on and Nia was devastated.
- 16:53You are a monstrosity of evil.
- 16:55You want to talk about ugliness?
- 16:57You're done. You're done.
- 16:58No duet. - Whatever.
- 17:00I'm a monstrosity of evil?
- 17:01Abby giveth.
- 17:02Abby taketh away.
- 17:05Nia is determined this week to get that duet back,
- 17:08and she's going to be herself and asked for it.
- 17:11I wanted to ask you if Paige and I can
- 17:14do the duet this weekend.
- 17:17Uh--
- 17:18Nia is asking me herself.
- 17:20Her mother isn't speaking for her.
- 17:22She's acting mature and taking matters into her own hands.
- 17:26Nia, that's exactly what I want to see.
- 17:29You've got my attention.
- 17:32Let me think about it.
- 17:33I'm not saying no.
- 17:34You understand that?
- 17:35OK.
- 17:36Let's go.
- 17:37It's not a yes.
- 17:38It's not a no.
- 17:39This is so stressful.
- 17:42It's not even me and I feel stressed.
- 17:52Thanks for meeting me.
- 17:53Yeah, and I tried to text you as much as I can.
- 17:55No, I know.
- 17:56And you know what, Melissa?
- 17:57We don't get along or see eye to eye on everything.
- 18:01You were the first one to call me.
- 18:02MELISSA: I was worried about you.
- 18:04Tonight I'm having drinks with Christi, which is very odd,
- 18:08but I have to do what I have to do.
- 18:09Kelly's angry with me and I don't know why.
- 18:13She's stubborn.
- 18:14Yeah.
- 18:15I was like her biggest cheerleader,
- 18:17and I'm having a bad time.
- 18:19Why have I not gotten any texts?
- 18:21It's like you broke up.
- 18:22Melissa, I have been a part of this team forever.
- 18:27And like this week, I feel like an outsider.
- 18:30I feel bad for the whole situation.
- 18:32You know, Melissa, we aren't always the best of friends.
- 18:37[laughs]
- 18:38No.
- 18:38But thank you for meeting me.
- 18:41Thank you. - Of course.
- 18:42You know, I worry about you.
- 18:43I appreciate it.
- 18:45I think deep down, Melissa's being a better friend to me
- 18:47at this point than Kelly is.
- 18:56So you know the name of the routine is "You Don't Know Me."
- 19:00Do the judges know who you are?
- 19:02So maybe they've heard of you, maybe
- 19:04they know your reputation.
- 19:05They think they know who you are.
- 19:06Oh, Maddie, we know her.
- 19:07Oh, yeah, Maddie, I've heard of her.
- 19:09No, we're trying to tell them who the real Maddie is.
- 19:13Maddie's solo this week is called "You Don't Know Me."
- 19:16It's a little bit edgier for Maddie.
- 19:19Nice.
- 19:21Like you think you know "who Maddie is."
- 19:24Push.
- 19:25She's very angelic.
- 19:27She does these lyrical routines that are so pretty.
- 19:34Maddie is going to prove to everybody that they don't know
- 19:36who she is.
- 19:38She's more than you think.
- 19:39Hey, come on, Paige, Nia.
- 19:41Now remember, girls, this is the duet.
- 19:43You asked me to do it.
- 19:44I pulled it.
- 19:45You've had two weeks to do this number,
- 19:47so it should look twice as good as Maddie's solo, twice as good
- 19:52as Brooke's solo.
- 19:53They've been doing their dances for a day.
- 19:55You've had an entire week.
- 19:56Let's go.
- 19:58Yesterday, Nia and Paige came to me and asked if they could do
- 20:00last week's cancelled duet in this week's competition.
- 20:04I want to see the performance before I
- 20:06make my final decision.
- 20:07Does the routine look good?
- 20:09I don't know, but I'm giving them the opportunity.
- 20:11So come on, girls, impress me.
- 20:14Every time you do that kick, get your leg higher.
- 20:17You're not thinking.
- 20:18That's what I'm saying, you guys want
- 20:19to do this-- oh, we want to do the duet.
- 20:21It's fun.
- 20:22We want to do it.
- 20:23You cannot go out there and look any less of a dancer than
- 20:26Maddie.
- 20:29Oh, you want both of us?
- 20:30She said both of us.
- 20:31She wants both of us down there.
- 20:32Oh, crap.
- 20:33I think there should be closure to last week's
- 20:35experience at the competition and the girls
- 20:37should do the duet.
- 20:39I think that would be a nice way to resolve the situation.
- 20:41Kind of do some Abby psychology, thinking about how you're going
- 20:45to approach this situation.
- 20:47The girls have asked me about during the duet this weekend.
- 20:50So we're doing the duet?
- 20:51Yes.
- 20:52You have to do it.
- 20:53You're going to go out there and you're going to do it.
- 20:55But I explained to Nia that I pulled the duet because I could
- 20:58not have that behavior go on.
- 21:00Like you said a pyramid, other things
- 21:02have happened in the past.
- 21:03We can't go backwards, and I'm not going to,
- 21:07but I am going to go forward.
- 21:09And going forward, that behavior will not be tolerated.
- 21:14The girls came.
- 21:15They asked me.
- 21:16Paige was part of it, too.
- 21:17They wanted to do it.
- 21:18So you know what you're getting yourselves into.
- 21:20You have to do it.
- 21:22I don't care what the results are for this competition
- 21:24of this duet.
- 21:25At this point, Nia has already won.
- 21:28The duet is going on stage.
- 21:30She's going to get to perform it.
- 21:32And I see maturity in Nia.
- 21:35They asked me to do it, sink or swim.
- 21:37Hey, we're going to Florida.
- 21:39There's sharks.
- 21:43What's going on with you and Kel?
- 21:44Have you had a chance to sit down and work it out?
- 21:47No, but I keep going back to when Kelly wasn't here, who
- 21:51was the biggest advocate for her to come back?
- 21:53I know.
- 21:54I had a bad week.
- 21:56I needed someone to call me and she didn't call me.
- 22:00I know, it's like a double whammy that Kelly's mad at you.
- 22:03Because let's face, that would be her sitting here
- 22:05consoling you.
- 22:06My feelings are hurt because when
- 22:08it was Kelly in my situation, I was her biggest cheerleader.
- 22:11So where do you go from here?
- 22:13I mean, do you continue to not speak?
- 22:15I don't know.
- 22:17Last week was an extremely hard week for me and Chloe.
- 22:20And Melissa called me.
- 22:22Holly called me.
- 22:23Jill called me.
- 22:24Kelly never called me.
- 22:27I don't know.
- 22:28I am a mess.
- 22:30I wasn't myself.
- 22:31I left.
- 22:32I came back.
- 22:33I felt more like myself.
- 22:34But like I'm the snarky bitch of the group.
- 22:37I'm not the crier.
- 22:38I'm not the emotional one, and I feel so out of sorts.
- 22:42I really feel like an outsider this week.
- 22:44I think because the team went to a competition,
- 22:46they had all these experiences, they had some crazy fight
- 22:48with Cathy--
- 22:50you know, life went on without Christi and Chloe,
- 22:52and I don't think anybody really even missed us.
- 22:54Girls, listen up.
- 22:56If you want fame, start paying right here, right now--
- 23:00blood, sweat, sore muscles, callouses.
- 23:04We went to a competition and not one of my students
- 23:07made the top 10?
- 23:09That's never going to happen to the Abby Lee Dance Company
- 23:11again.
- 23:12This is going to be like bootie camp.
- 23:14You're going to walk in here and you're going to work,
- 23:16and you're going to work, and you're
- 23:18going to work even harder the next day.
- 23:19The group is not where I want it to be.
- 23:22I know it's been a long day, but this number is nowhere
- 23:25near competition-ready.
- 23:26Lock the back knee in the lunge.
- 23:28Oh, somebody's foot is flexed.
- 23:30Whoa.
- 23:31What is she doing there?
- 23:33Get up.
- 23:34Yo, blondie, you were gone for a week, not a year.
- 23:39If Abby doesn't come around and at least give Chloe
- 23:41the common respect of calling her by her given name,
- 23:44you know, I can't say that I'm going to sit back and just
- 23:46let it happen.
- 23:47Moms, let's go.
- 23:49Bring those costumes down.
- 23:50Girls, we are leaving on a plane tomorrow morning.
- 23:55This is the third time we're changing it
- 23:57because you couldn't do it the first two times.
- 24:00Blondie, we could all be home by now.
- 24:03You know what?
- 24:04My daughter has a name.
- 24:06ABBY LEE MILLER: Not anymore in my book.
- 24:07CHRISTI: Oh, yes she does.
- 24:09She has a name, Abby.
- 24:10So do you.
- 24:12Starts with a B.
- 24:22Come on, girls, let's go.
- 24:23MELISSA: In10sity is a good competition for us this week
- 24:26because there's a lot of intense feelings between Abby
- 24:28and Christi, between Kelly and Christi.
- 24:31So intense is the word this week.
- 24:33Girls, remember, you are in Fort Lauderdale.
- 24:35I mean, these kids down here dance.
- 24:38Dance is part of the culture, so you need to really focus.
- 24:41This is all about the technique.
- 24:44You got it?
- 24:50Whether I called one time or 10 times,
- 24:52she should have called me back.
- 24:54MELISSA: She never answers my calls, too.
- 24:55I don't know what the problem is.
- 24:57No.
- 24:58I don't think I did anything wrong.
- 24:59I don't, either.
- 25:00Christi, you're awfully quiet.
- 25:02Where's that fire?
- 25:02Where's that spunk?
- 25:05All gone.
- 25:06You're not a wallflower.
- 25:08Maybe I turned over a new leaf.
- 25:11Now, listen to me.
- 25:13When you get out there, it's your face that wins.
- 25:16Everybody here has beautiful technique.
- 25:18Nobody else has Maddie's face.
- 25:21Girls, duet.
- 25:23Paige, you don't need to be goofy.
- 25:24It's fun.
- 25:25It's hot.
- 25:26You should look beautiful.
- 25:28You've got two weeks to work on this routine.
- 25:29They haven't really worked on it for two weeks, Abby.
- 25:31They lied.
- 25:32I know, that's my point.
- 25:34They don't self-motivate themselves.
- 25:36They don't get out there and work on it.
- 25:38When do you want them to work on it?
- 25:39We had privates but we weren't able to go to those,
- 25:41but Maddie went to hers.
- 25:42You're so jealous of that kid, oh my god.
- 25:44I'm not jealous of Maddie.
- 25:46You're jealous that I'm talking to her, that I'm
- 25:47telling you the same thing that I tell her every week.
- 25:49Because, Abby, we're going on a couple after her.
- 25:51You made sure her makeup was perfect,
- 25:53her costume was perfect.
- 25:54You haven't looked at these two at all.
- 25:56Well, you handle her makeup.
- 25:57She's your job.
- 25:59KELLY: Well, maybe Melissa should learn how to do makeup.
- 26:01This is Melissa's job, too.
- 26:03Melissa has never walked into my studio and said,
- 26:05my children are my job.
- 26:07Never.
- 26:08I don't need a job.
- 26:09I know.
- 26:10Your kids still needs to point her feet.
- 26:12That's your job, to teach them.
- 26:14No.
- 26:14Money can't buy talent.
- 26:16Kelly, you want Paige's duet pulled again,
- 26:19two weeks in a row?
- 26:20You want Brooke's solo to just disappear?
- 26:23How about you ask Holly and Christi what running your mouth
- 26:26has got them.
- 26:27I suggest you shut up and sit down.
- 26:30This is Brooke's first solo act.
- 26:33We'll see if it's her last solo on the team.
- 26:36Girls, go out there and dance today and don't make me sorry
- 26:40that I let you do it.
- 26:41Understand?
- 26:43There is an elephant in the room,
- 26:44and for once, it's not Abby.
- 26:46Kelly and I have this huge feud going on,
- 26:48and eventually we're going to have to talk it out.
- 26:50We can't keep going on like this.
- 26:52I will talk to you as soon as she's done dancing.
- 26:54I want to get her out there and then I'll talk to you, OK?
- 26:57Mm-hmm.
- 27:00[music playing]
- 27:09ABBY LEE MILLER: I think the judges already
- 27:10have a preconceived notion.
- 27:12Sweet, pretty, little Maddie, she's
- 27:15going to tell the judges and every single person
- 27:18in that audience, don't judge a book by the cover.
- 27:21This is Maddie with "You Don't Know Me."
- 27:24[applause]
- 27:29[MUSIC - VERENICE BUERLING, "YOU DON'T KNOW ME"]
- 27:39(SINGING) Yeah.
- 27:43You don't know me.
- 27:46You don't know me.
- 27:50Stop the inquiries.
- 27:52I keep my business to myself.
- 27:54Stop the lecturing.
- 27:56Oh, I'm so done.
- 27:57You don't know me.
- 27:59You don't know me.
- 28:02You don't know me, no.
- 28:04Stop the inquiries.
- 28:05Come on.
- 28:06(SINGING) I keep myself.
- 28:08Don't lecture me.
- 28:10Don't lecture me.
- 28:12Don't lecture me.
- 28:13No, no.
- 28:15Oh.
- 28:19You don't know me.
- 28:28[applause]
- 28:32Maddie came back strong--
- 28:33I think, technically, superb.
- 28:35When she stepped on that stage, it was all about Maddie.
- 28:39ANNOUNCER: All right.
- 28:40Moving back into the team solo division--
- 28:42KELLY: I think Brooke's very nervous.
- 28:44She just keeps going off on her own.
- 28:46Brooke wants to prove to Abby that she can go out there
- 28:50and she can do this dance and she can do it well.
- 28:52ANNOUNCER: This is entry number 38--
- 28:54Brooke with "Careless."
- 28:56[cheering]
- 28:59[MUSIC - TRACY JOHNSON,
- 29:01"CARELESS"]
- 29:19(SINGING) 15 minutes till the sunrise.
- 29:24I haven't seen the back of my eyes yet.
- 29:30As I'm watching Brooke on stage,
- 29:32she's nailing the routine.
- 29:34There's fluidity throughout.
- 29:36The old tricks are there it's like the old Brooke is back.
- 29:39(SINGING) I couldn't care less.
- 29:48Careless.
- 29:49Careless.
- 29:56[applause]
- 30:00BROOKE: I think my solo went pretty well.
- 30:02I didn't fall out of any tricks and I
- 30:06didn't forget the choreography.
- 30:07And I think I showed Abby that I cared.
- 30:13Our duet is about to go up and we're really nervous.
- 30:15I want to show Miss Abby that she didn't make a mistake
- 30:18by letting us perform it this week.
- 30:19We've got to dance.
- 30:22ANNOUNCER: All right, the next in the junior duet/trio
- 30:25division, is entry number 18--
- 30:27Nia and Paige with "The Wild Child and the Wallflower."
- 30:32[MUSIC - BABYGRAND, "LIGHTS GO OUT"]
- 30:39(SINGING) 1, 2.
- 30:40Time's up.
- 30:42Music got me fired up.
- 30:44Five minutes in the place and I got them all lined up.
- 30:49Lights turned off, on.
- 30:51I can barely see a thing.
- 30:53Dizzy from the feeling, but I know in this moment,
- 30:57I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be.
- 31:01I love it this way.
- 31:03Strobe lights.
- 31:05I'm shining on the dance floor.
- 31:08Ooh, I know you're liking it with the beat.
- 31:12Take two with me.
- 31:13Don't stop dancing.
- 31:14Keep me going out.
- 31:15Work it out till the lights go out.
- 31:17Work it out till the lights go out.
- 31:20Don't stop moving.
- 31:21Keep me going out.
- 31:23Work it out till the lights go out.
- 31:25Work it out till the lights go out.
- 31:32[applause]
- 31:33Could their legs have been straighter?
- 31:34Sure.
- 31:35Could their feet have been pointed?
- 31:37Absolutely.
- 31:38Could they just be better overall dancers?
- 31:40Of course.
- 31:42But that's not what this piece was about.
- 31:44It was telling a story.
- 31:46It's musical theater, and that's exactly what they went out
- 31:49there and did.
- 31:49They entertained the audience.
- 31:51Whoo-hoo.
- 31:54I thought Maddie was absolutely amazing.
- 31:56I thought the duet was good.
- 31:57What did you guys think? - Yeah.
- 31:59I thought it was great.
- 32:00I thought that was her best dance alone.
- 32:02Good job, Nia.
- 32:03Good job, Paige.
- 32:04Good job, Brooke.
- 32:06That was so good.
- 32:09Good job, sweetheart.
- 32:10Good job.
- 32:11I am shocked.
- 32:12I think Abby respected Nia as a dancer.
- 32:15They showed Abby that they want to dance
- 32:17and that they can dance.
- 32:20Nia, you know why I pulled the duet last week, right?
- 32:25OK.
- 32:26I'm in the dressing room.
- 32:27All this chaos is happening.
- 32:29And then your mom snaps.
- 32:31So before it went too far, I wanted to nip it in the bud,
- 32:37and the way for me to do that was to say,
- 32:40I'm pulling the duet.
- 32:41Understood?
- 32:42You know, everything happens for a reason.
- 32:45Just so you realize that.
- 32:46Now give me a hug, all right? - Thank you.
- 32:47OK.
- 32:48Well, I want you to understand.
- 32:49All right.
- 32:51Thank you.
- 32:52So I think this is Miss Abby's version of an apology.
- 32:55Oh, no.
- 32:56I'm not apologizing.
- 32:57I'm glad I pulled it.
- 32:58Oh, Abby, come on.
- 32:58I am so glad I pulled it.
- 33:00All right. Get ready.
- 33:02Come on.
- 33:03Let's worry about this next dance, mom.
- 33:04Here, go put this on.
- 33:05Somebody should be apologizing for sloppy legs.
- 33:08Oh my gosh.
- 33:13[music playing]
- 33:20Good. You need to tell them.
- 33:21You're in the wings.
- 33:22I'm going to be sitting in the audience watching.
- 33:24The group routine is about to go on stage.
- 33:26These girls know that money is the root of all evil.
- 33:30They know what it takes to win.
- 33:31They also know what it feels like to lose.
- 33:34Give me a dollar stuck right behind this green glitter.
- 33:36Do you have any money in your purse, Kelly?
- 33:38Girls, I'm talking about how much money you have.
- 33:40Let's pull it up.
- 33:41Can't stick credit cards on her.
- 33:43That dress has already been done.
- 33:45I'm not so sure this is a good use of money,
- 33:47but Abby wants lots of dollar bills
- 33:50to put on the children's costumes.
- 33:51Yeah. Let me see.
- 33:52Where's your money?
- 33:53Come on, give me that purse.
- 33:54Don't hit me in the back with it, just show it to me.
- 33:56There you go.
- 33:57I'm not Cathy.
- 33:59I work hard for my money.
- 34:01I don't want to use it as play money.
- 34:03I don't think that you needed to put real money on the costumes.
- 34:06I just think that sends a wrong message.
- 34:08Ha, ha, ha.
- 34:10Oh, Jill's good at that.
- 34:11ABBY LEE MILLER: Let's go.
- 34:12Come on, girls.
- 34:14The group number is about to go on,
- 34:15and I'm feeling a little bit nervous because I haven't
- 34:18danced on stage for two weeks.
- 34:20I just hope that I'm not rusty and I
- 34:22don't want to let my team down.
- 34:23ANNOUNCER: How's everybody doing?
- 34:26Everything just feels off.
- 34:28Kelly and I aren't exactly enjoying each other's company.
- 34:30And I'm not going to lie, it's really awkward.
- 34:32ANNOUNCER: All right, coming to the stage next in the junior's
- 34:36small group division, this is entry number 23,
- 34:39entitled "Money is the Root of All Evil."
- 34:42[applause]
- 34:45Let's go, girls.
- 34:48[MUSIC - THE HALLEY DEVESTERN BAND, "MONEY AIN'T TIME"]
- 35:06(SINGING) You think you can fool the devil
- 35:11with all your fancy things.
- 35:16You know it's forever, the time that you'll be dead.
- 35:24And it's a long way to heaven, my baby, with only your breath.
- 35:31They say time is money.
- 35:36Yeah, but money ain't time.
- 35:41No.
- 35:43Time.
- 35:45Yeah.
- 35:48Money ain't time.
- 35:56[applause]
- 36:00ABBY LEE MILLER: I thought the group routine was
- 36:02very innovative.
- 36:03I thought it was something different than we had seen
- 36:05all day in the competition, and that's
- 36:07going to help us score high.
- 36:09[music continuing]
- 36:10[laughs] Look at Ken.
- 36:14Oh my god.
- 36:16How's everybody doing?
- 36:19We are ready to begin with our divisional overalls.
- 36:22We're going to start off in top-scoring elite junior
- 36:25duo/trios.
- 36:26Starting off in fifth place, with a score of 262.1 points,
- 36:30is act number 15, "Viva Las Suede."
