- 2:56difficult. The alarm clock.
- 2:59>> Ah the alarm clock. Yes.
- 3:02>> I do not like that sound. Beep beep
- 3:04beep.
- 3:05>> My alarm is music. Soft music.
- 3:09>> That is smart. My alarm is just loud. I
- 3:14wake up and I think, "Oh no, already."
- 3:19[laughter]
- 3:20>> And do you get up?
- 3:22>> No.

- 3:41>> Oh, Paul. So when do you really get out
- 3:44of bed?
- 3:45>> When I must. When it is very late. I
- 3:49jump out of bed. I'm late.

- 3:57>> Tell me.
- 3:58>> I wake up early before the sun.
- 4:02>> Wow. Why?
- 4:05>> I love the quiet. The house is very
- 4:09quiet. No cars, no noise. It is just me.
- 4:15>> And what do you do?
- 4:16>> The first thing, the most important
- 4:19thing is coffee.
- 4:22>> Ah, yes. Coffee. Me too. I run from the
- 4:26bed to the coffee machine. [laughter]
- 4:30>> How do you like your coffee, Paul?
- 4:32>> I like it strong and black. No milk, no
- 4:37sugar, just coffee.
- 4:41>> M. Yes, I like my coffee with a little
- 4:46hot milk. It is very warm and nice.
- 4:51>> That sounds good. I drink my coffee and

- 4:57>> Oh, no, not the phone. [laughter]
- 5:02Yes, I look at the news, emails.
- 5:06>> See, I don't look at my phone. I sit by
- 5:11the window with my coffee. I just think
- 5:16>> that is very calm. Maybe I should try
- 5:18that.
- 5:19>> It's very nice. Okay, so we have coffee.
- 5:24What about breakfast?
- 5:26>> Breakfast is very fast for me.
- 5:31Because I am late.
- 5:35[laughter]
- 5:36>> Yes,
- 5:36>> I eat toast.
- 5:39Just toast with butter or maybe a
- 5:44banana. Very easy.
- 5:46>> That is very fast. I like to eat a good
- 5:50breakfast. I eat yogurt with fruit or
- 5:55sometimes I make eggs.
- 5:58>> Eggs. Wow. Emily, you have a lot of
- 6:01time. [laughter]
- 6:03>> I wake up early.
- 6:05>> That's true. Okay. So, after breakfast,

- 6:11>> Yes. I take a shower. I like a very hot
- 6:17shower.
- 6:18>> Me, too. A hot shower is good for waking
- 6:23up.
- 6:23>> And then the difficult part. What?
- 6:29>> Choosing clothes. [laughter]
- 6:31>> Oh yes.
- 6:32>> I look in my closet. I have many
- 6:36clothes. Shirts, pants, dresses, and I
- 6:42always think
- 6:43>> what?
- 6:44>> I have nothing to wear. [laughter]
- 6:49>> Yes, I know that feeling.
- 6:52>> It is so silly. I have so many clothes.
- 6:56My system is very easy.
- 6:59>> What is your system, Paul?
- 7:01>> I only have blue shirts. [laughter]
- 7:08>> No, really?
- 7:10>> Yes. Blue shirts, white shirts, gray
- 7:14shirts. Very simple. I grab one. Done.
- 7:19>> Paul, that is very smart.
- 7:23[laughter]
- 7:24>> It is easy. No thinking. Thinking is for
- 7:28later.
- 7:29>> Okay. So, you have your blue shirt. I
- 7:33finally find a dress and then work.
- 7:39>> Yes. Time to go to work.
- 7:42>> How do you go to work? Do you drive?
- 7:45>> No, I take the bus.
- 7:47>> Uh, the bus. Is it good?
- 7:50>> It is okay.
- 7:54It is very crowded. Many many people.
- 7:58>> H I don't like crowded places.
- 8:02>> Me too. But I can listen to music. I put

- 8:29>> Ah, your car. That is nice.
- 8:33>> It is nice, but the traffic is not nice.
- 8:39>> Oh, yes. The traffic. Many cars.
- 8:43>> So many cars. All going very, very slow.
- 8:49Stop. Go. Stop. Go.
- 8:52>> Oh, that is boring.
- 8:54>> It is. I listen to music too. Loud
- 8:59music. [laughter]
- 9:01[gasps]
- 9:02>> Okay. So, we are at work.
- 9:06>> Yes. What is your work day like, Paul?
- 9:10Is it busy?
- 9:12>> Yes, it is always busy. The first thing
- 9:17I do is more coffee.

- 9:54Talking talking.
- 9:57>> My day is similar. I talk to people. I
- 10:01help people. I like my job. But yes,
- 10:05many emails.
- 10:07>> What about lunch? This is my favorite
- 10:11part of the workday. [laughter]

- 10:34>> Wow, Emily, you make eggs and a
- 10:36sandwich.
- 10:38[laughter]
- 10:39>> It is easy and it is cheap. Buying lunch
- 10:43every day is expensive. That is true,
- 10:47but I am not organized.
- 10:51>> So, you buy lunch?
- 10:53>> Yes, I go to a small cafe near my
- 10:56office. I buy a sandwich.
- 10:58>> Is it good?
- 10:59>> It is very good. And I like to walk for
- 11:0210 minutes. Get out of the office.
- 11:05>> Yes, that is important to walk a little.
- 11:09>> And in the afternoon,

- 11:37An apple.
- 11:38>> An apple. Very healthy. I eat a cookie.
- 11:45A cookie is good, too.
- 11:47>> Okay, so 5:00 p.m. work is finished.
- 11:52>> Yes, the best time.
- 11:54>> I go home on the bus again. I am very
- 11:58tired now. I just look out the window.
