- 0:00And welcome to Thailand. In this video,
- 0:04we'll show you the best this incredible
- 0:06country has to offer. One, two, three,
- 0:23and whoo. In this episode, we'll show
- 0:28you our complete itinerary in Thailand,
- 0:30a country with over 70 million
- 0:33inhabitants, known as the Land of
- 0:35Smiles, with kind people, Buddhist
- 0:37temples that bring peace, and beautiful
- 0:40beaches that have even been movie sets.
- 0:44Goodbye, Maldives. It’s so beautiful,
- 0:48a true paradise. And we’ll show you
- 0:52the step-by-step guide for you to take
- 0:54this trip too. We started our itinerary
- 0:57in the capital, Bangkok, then headed to
- 0:59the beaches of Krabi. We sailed to the
- 1:02island of Phi Phi, went up the coast to
- 1:05Phuket, and finished in the north of
- 1:07the country exploring Chiang Mai. And
- 1:09lastly, the city of Chiang Mai. We
- 1:12entered the famous White Temple, which
- 1:15goes from hell to heaven. We swam in
- 1:18blue waters that hurt the eyes, and
- 1:20look at the little fish. We had lunch
- 1:23by the beach, spending less than 40
- 1:25reais. We tried the most bizarre foods
- 1:29of our lives. We enjoyed the lively
- 1:32nights, even including jumping rope
- 1:34with fire. Oh my God, that was a close
- 1:37one.
- 1:38Too. We’ll tell you the prices of
- 1:41everything and mistakes you can't make
- 1:42around here.
- 1:45There will be 28 important tips for
- 1:47your trip: how to dress, the best time
- 1:49to go, necessary documentation, in
- 1:51short, everything you need to know. Oh,
- 1:55and we'll tell you the total price of
- 1:57the package by the end of the video. So
- 1:59, are you ready to live this dream?
- 2:08Hello, my loves. Or rather, since we're
- 2:11in Thailand, "Sa-wat-dee," we've just
- 2:13set foot in the Bangkok airport; we are
- 2:16on the other side of the world. But
- 2:19before telling you about the necessary
- 2:21documentation, let me tell you how we
- 2:23got here.
- 2:25Currently, there are no direct flights
- 2:27from Brazil to Thailand. We had a
- 2:30layover in Europe, so it was two
- 2:32flights and approximately 26 hours of
- 2:35travel in total. And upon arriving at
- 2:55Bangkok airport, the first thing you
- 2:57need to do is look for this sign. Be
- 3:00very careful, because a mistake many
- 3:02Brazilians make is to go straight to
- 3:04the immigration line upon arriving at
- 3:06Bangkok airport. Then they wait through
- 3:08the whole line, and afterward,
- 3:09they’re told to go back. Why? Before
- 3:12you go to the immigration line, you
- 3:14need to go through Health Control to
- 3:17show your yellow fever vaccination. So
- 3:20that’s what we came to do now, and
- 3:21I’m going to show you the whole
- 3:23process. Some countries, such as Brazil
- 3:26, have this yellow fever vaccine
- 3:28requirement, but it’s quite simple.
- 3:31Just go to the counter and show the
- 3:33required documents. They will check
- 3:35them and give you a little slip of
- 3:37paper. And then you can get in the
- 3:40immigration line. And we just got
- 3:43through immigration. It was super
- 3:45simple. They just asked to see the
- 3:46documents and stamped our passports
- 3:48right away. By the way, I'll take this
- 3:51chance to tell you which documents are
- 3:52needed for Brazilians coming to
- 3:53Thailand. Passport, and international
- 3:56certificate of vaccination against
- 3:58yellow fever. And you also need to fill
- 4:01out an online form within 72 hours
- 4:04before your arrival. I'll leave the
- 4:07link for this form in the description
- 4:09so you don't fall for any fake links or
- 4:12scams. And besides that, you also need
- 4:15to have travel insurance. Travel
- 4:17insurance isn't mandatory, but for a
- 4:19trip like this, it's highly recommended
- 4:21. We always use Cores insurance, which
- 4:23is wonderful, 24-hour assistance, the
- 4:25best coverage on the market, and you
- 4:27still have a discount coupon. With the
- 4:29coupon Trip20 you get a 20%discount; a
- 4:32visa isn't necessary if you're staying
- 4:35up to 90 days in the country. So, in
- 4:38most cases, you won't need a visa.
- 4:40That's it. And now we're going to pick
- 4:43up our checked bags, head out through
- 4:45arrivals, and meet our Tailandiando
- 4:47transfer. We picked up our bags and
- 4:50decided to exchange some money right at
- 4:52the airport. We went to Super Rich, a
- 4:55currency exchange office that usually
- 4:57has a good rate. I recommend bringing
- 5:01some cash in dollars or euros to
- 5:02exchange for the local currency, which
- 5:04is the baht. Yeah, you can feel rich.
- 5:11Each baht is only about 16 Brazilian
- 5:13cents. Now I'm heading to the
- 5:16Tailandiando transfer to get to our
- 5:19hotel. Let's go.
- 5:20And look at that, there was even a sign
- 5:22with our name on it. And we've already
- 5:34arrived at our hotel. It's important to
- 5:38tell you that our entire trip was
- 5:40organized by Tailandiando, a company of
- 5:43Brazilians who are experts on Thailand.
- 5:47We booked the complete package. So the
- 5:51transfers, the hotels, and the tours
- 5:54were all organized by them. Now I'm
- 5:57going to show you a little bit of our
- 6:00room. And today Tailandiando picked us
- 6:23up early at the hotel for a tour of the
- 6:25temples. and markets. We're already at
- 6:28the first temple, man. It's important
- 6:31to know that in the temples you need to
- 6:34wear respectful clothing that covers
- 6:36your shoulders and knees. To enter the
- 6:39temple, you need to take off your shoes
- 6:41. Admission to this temple is paid, but
- 6:59the tickets are already included in the
- 7:01tour, as is the Portuguese-speaking
- 7:02guide. And the guide was explaining
- 7:05that Buddhism is not just a religion,
- 7:07it's a philosophy of life. And the
- 7:10Buddha is not like God. The Buddha is
- 7:13seen as a teacher.
- 7:14Our Buddha too, he is not God, no. He
- 7:16is like a superior teacher.
- 7:18More than 90%of the Thai population
- 7:21follows Buddhism.
- 7:24And one of the most anticipated points
- 7:27of the visit here at Po is this
- 7:28gigantic Buddha. Look there, from the
- 7:32foot to the beginning of it. It is 46
- 7:37meters long by 15 meters high. And one
- 7:42of the interpretations of this
- 7:44reclining position is that the Buddha
- 7:47reached Nirvana, the highest level of
- 7:50consciousness. You have to tap three
- 7:59times to wish for a long life. And now
- 8:10we are at the Grand Palace. An
- 8:13important observation is that at other
- 8:14temples you only need to cover your
- 8:16knees. In this one, you need to cover
- 8:19down to your heels. It can be pants or
- 8:22a skirt for women. And also the issue
- 8:25of the shoulders. In other temples, you
- 8:28can cover them using a scarf. Here at
- 8:30the Grand Palace, they are stricter.
- 8:33You really need to have a shirt to
- 8:35cover your shoulders. You don't need to
- 8:37cover your elbows, but the shoulders
- 8:39must be covered with a shirt. They do
- 8:41not accept scarves. So keep that in
- 8:43mind, otherwise, if you arrive here,
- 8:45you will have to rent clothes. The
- 8:48Grand Palace served as the royal
- 8:49family's residence in the past and is
- 8:52still used for royal events today. A
- 8:55true luxury. They also charge for
- 8:58admission here, but it’s all included
- 9:00in the agency's tour. And look at the
- 9:07amount of detail. Do you see this here?
- 9:11Every little piece of this is a Buddha.
- 9:15In total, there are 1,000. And inside
- 9:28there is the Emerald Buddha, my
- 9:30namesake, because my name is also
- 9:32Esmeralda. And they say it's beautiful,
- 9:36but unfortunately, you cannot film. And
- 9:39this Buddha is considered the sacred
- 9:42protector of the country. The statue's
- 9:44clothing changes each season of the
- 9:46year, and it is the king himself who
- 9:48comes to change it. And many people
- 9:50don't know, but Thailand is a monarchy
- 9:52and the king is considered almost a
- 9:55demigod. So it is forbidden to speak
- 9:58ill of the monarchy. For example, on
- 10:01the banknote, there is the king's image
- 10:03. You cannot step on the money, as that
- 10:06is considered a crime here. Afterwards,
- 10:09we left the palace and took transport
- 10:11to our next attraction, which is one of
- 10:13the most famous in Thailand. And now we
- 10:16have arrived at the floating market.
- 10:17Guys, it's crazy. The little boat keeps
- 10:19passing by. On one side there are shops
- 10:21, and on the other, there are shops.
- 10:23There are little boats that pass by
- 10:24selling things, too. How much? And now,
- 10:52after the floating market, we're going
- 10:54to have lunch. We had some street food.
- 10:57The price is surprising. To give you an
- 11:00idea, these two traditional dishes plus
- 11:03spring rolls came to 120 baht total.
- 11:09And he just explained to us that tasty
- 11:12is called "a-roi" in Thai. And when you
- 11:14want to say very tasty, it's "ma-roi".
- 11:17A-roi mak. And the guide treated us to
- 11:20Thailand's most traditional dessert,
- 11:22Mango Sticky Rice, which is mango with
- 11:24rice and coconut milk on top. It's an
- 11:28unusual combination, but it's approved,
- 11:29you know? And now we've come to the
- 11:36train market, which is a market that
- 11:37operates like this, guys, right in the
- 11:38middle of the tracks. And what's
- 11:41incredible is that the train passes
- 11:43through here eight times a day. And
- 11:47whenever the train comes, they pull
- 11:48back all the little stalls and clear
- 11:50everything away for the train. And look
- 12:01, if you go with your mom, get ready to
- 12:04hear: And when the train passes,
- 12:26everything goes back to normal. A cool
- 12:28tip is that at the end of the station,
- 12:30the train stops for those who want to
- 12:32take pictures. And this market is great
- 12:36for buying souvenirs. The prices are
- 12:39wonderful. Our purchasing power here is
- 12:42very good. A shirt like this costs
- 12:45about 32 reais, three pairs of socks
- 12:48for 16, and a coconut for 3.20. Now,
- 13:01pay attention, it's important to have
- 13:03cash because most of these shops don't
- 13:06accept cards.
- 13:08And the best months to come to Thailand
- 13:10are from November to April, which is
- 13:12when it doesn't rain. It's best to
- 13:14avoid the monsoon season, or the rainy
- 13:16season, which varies depending on the
- 13:18region of the country. But in most of
- 13:20the territory, it usually happens from
- 13:23May to October. A really cool tip is to
- 13:26go in November, when there's the famous
- 13:27lantern festival. In fact, Tailandiando
- 13:30organizes group trips for this time of
- 13:33year. If you don't want to go alone,
- 13:35it's a great opportunity to have the
- 13:37company of other Brazilians. There's
- 13:40even a package aimed at the senior
- 13:42audience. Another very cool time to go
- 13:45is during the Thai New Year, which
- 13:47happens in April and features lots of
- 13:49water games. It's a lot of fun. We went
- 13:52during that time. Tailandiando also has
- 13:56group expeditions during this period,
- 13:58but of course, you can go in other
- 14:00months; just scan this QR code and
- 14:02you'll speak directly with them.
- 14:05Remembering that our followers get a
- 14:07discount on the packages. Enjoy it.
- 14:11After the train market, we returned to
- 14:13Bangkok and the van dropped us off at
- 14:15our hotel door. But we decided to end
- 14:18the night with an optional tour by
- 14:20Tailandiana. I'll always leave it here
- 14:22for you to see what is optional and
- 14:24what is included in the package. We're
- 14:27already in a tuk-tuk that will take us
- 14:29to some city attractions and we'll take
- 14:32the chance to try typical foods. So,
- 14:34Mom, are you ready?
- 14:36I am totally ready. So, let's go.
- 14:45Our first stop was in the Chinese
- 14:47neighborhood, Chinatown. Did you know
- 14:51that people of Chinese descent make up
- 14:53about 14%of the Thai population? That's
- 14:57right, Thailand has a strong influence
- 15:00from China. For us Thai people here, we
- 15:10love Buddhism. It's called Theravada.
- 15:14Theravada is like the oldest Buddhism,
- 15:18but for the Chinese and Japanese it is
- 15:21like the newer Buddhism. The Chinese
- 15:36neighborhood has a lot of street food.
- 15:38They prepare it right in front of you.
- 15:43And now the moment we've been waiting
- 15:45for has arrived: trying the scorpion.
- 15:48Guys, it's tough, you know? Hmm. Let me
- 15:58show you what it's like inside. It's
- 16:05hollow. Hmm. It's seasoned.
- 16:16It actually tastes like shrimp. Go
- 16:20ahead. They add a mysterious seasoning
- 16:25that gives it a special flavor. So,
- 16:28would you have the courage to try it?
- 16:34There are various insects for you to
- 16:35choose from. My mom preferred to get
- 16:38the larvae, which honestly looked more
- 16:40appetizing. A little tub like this
- 16:44costs about 8 reais. The guide said
- 16:52that Thai people don't eat these
- 16:53insects daily; it's mostly for tourists
- 16:55. But since we are tourists after all,
- 16:59let's go for it.
- 17:02And now we're going to try the Moo
- 17:04Satay, which is a pork skewer served
- 17:07with peanut sauce and vinaigrette. And
- 17:15go with an open mind because it's
- 17:17different, but it really is tasty.
- 17:20Very good. And now we're going to try
- 17:29Pad Thai, Thailand's most famous
- 17:31typical dish. Remembering that the tour
- 17:36food is already included, and Pad Thai,
- 17:38as I was explaining, is a type of
- 17:39noodle. Focus here, look. It's jasmine
- 17:43rice noodles and it mixes four flavors,
- 17:48so to speak. It's sweet, salty, spicy,
- 17:52and sour. So, time to taste.
- 18:02We usually cook it with rice noodles
- 18:04and bean sprouts
- 18:07and green onions and egg.
- 18:10And here they also have the habit of
- 18:12putting peanuts on top. And honestly,
- 18:15it's good, believe it or not? Then we
- 18:25passed by a massage place that had a
- 18:27fish spa option and we thought, "Why
- 18:29not?" Ouch! My God! And is it relaxing,
- 18:43Mom? Tell the truth.
- 18:45It's not relaxing at all, guys. It's
- 18:47unsettling having them eating our dead
- 18:49skin. 15 minutes, it cost about 24
- 18:52Brazilian reais converted. And if
- 18:59you're enjoying watching us go through
- 19:01all these experiences here in Thailand,
- 19:04don't forget to subscribe to the
- 19:06channel, hit the bell, leave a like,
- 19:09and share with your friends. Oh, and
- 19:14find a way to come to Thailand too,
- 19:15because I want to see you all here.
- 19:19Then we took the Tuk-Tuk again. Our
- 19:22driver even played music to liven up
- 19:25the ride.
- 19:32Our next stop was the Flower Market,
- 19:34which is open 24 hours a day. This tour
- 19:45also has a stop at the Wat Arun
- 19:47viewpoint, which is one of the
- 19:48postcards of Bangkok. And at night it
- 19:51gets all lit up, it even deserves a
- 19:54photo. And our last stop is Khao San
- 20:00Road, which is one of the most famous
- 20:02streets in Bangkok, known for being the
- 20:05backpacker street. You'll see
- 20:08everything here. There's a lot of
- 20:11street food, shops selling the green
- 20:14stuff, which is decriminalized here,
- 20:16massage parlors with very inviting
- 20:18prices, and super lively bars with loud
- 20:22music. Good morning, my loves. And
- 20:46today, before heading out for our tours
- 20:48, we're going to show you what
- 20:49breakfast is like at this hotel we're
- 20:51staying at. We came to the King Power
- 21:08Mahanakhon, which is one of the most
- 21:09iconic buildings in Bangkok. Look at
- 21:12the view from up here. At the top of
- 21:14the building, it's over 300 meters high
- 21:17. From here you have a 360-degree view
- 21:20of the city. It is actually the highest
- 21:23rooftop in Bangkok. We used our free
- 21:34day from the package to visit this
- 21:36attraction on our own. I'm leaving the
- 21:38ticket price on the screen for you. And
- 21:42this part here is very scary, okay?
- 21:45Because there's glass, wow, just
- 21:47looking down gives you a lump in your
- 21:49throat.
- 21:50So, would you have the courage to stand
- 21:52on this glass over 300 meters? in
- 21:55height. And if you found that
- 22:04frightening, wait, it can get worse.
- 22:07The most challenging moment has arrived
- 22:09. We're going on the tilt. Are you
- 22:11brave enough, mom?
- 22:12Oh, guys, I'm shaking.
- 22:14Tell them what the tilt is.
- 22:16I'll explain it sort of. It's a device
- 22:19where you lie down with your body
- 22:21completely outside the building. And
- 22:24honestly, it's a precipice with an
- 22:25infinite view. Let's go. Let's see if
- 22:28we'll have the courage. No backing out
- 22:30now. Now you can't back out anymore. Oh
- 22:38my God, guys, I'm scared. The machine
- 22:41goes down and when you realize it,
- 22:43you're lying on the precipice and it
- 22:45feels like you're going to fall at any
- 22:47moment. Here I learned what true fear
- 22:52is. The greater the challenge, the
- 23:06stronger you become.
- 23:09On your day off, you can also go to Wat
- 23:11Arun to take photos in traditional
- 23:12clothing. We paid 2000 baht for the
- 23:16clothes, makeup, simple hair styling,
- 23:18and an hour with a photographer. I
- 23:20thought the price was great and the
- 23:22photos turned out beautiful. And this
- 23:42temple where we're taking photos is Wat
- 23:44Arun, the Temple of Dawn. Admission
- 23:47costs 200 baht per person. Across the
- 24:00river, there's a series of restaurants,
- 24:03and we're at one of them with a view of
- 24:06Wat Arun. We've already ordered our
- 24:10shrimp soup here. Guys, look at the
- 24:13size of this shrimp. We’re being very
- 24:16fancy, right? Here is our wonderful
- 24:19drink. We asked for the chili for the
- 24:22soup on the side. Here's a tip for you
- 24:24guys,
- 24:25because the chili here is no joke; it
- 24:27usually comes inside the soup, but I'm
- 24:30no fool, so I asked for it separately.
- 24:33Now, let's taste this wonderful soup.
- 24:37Mmm, guys, I’m even drooling because
- 24:41it’s so good, really. Before ordering
- 24:44your dish, always mention the spice
- 24:46level to make it clear you don't want
- 24:48chili, or ask for it on the side like
- 24:50my mom did, because it's normal in
- 24:52Thailand for everything to be very
- 24:54spicy. And this was our total bill at
- 25:15the restaurant. And for those who like
- 25:19to go shopping at night, it's worth
- 25:22stopping by IconSiam, a huge mall that
- 25:24sells everything, even insects. Every
- 25:34night here, there is a free water and
- 25:36light show. On the top floor of this
- 25:50mall, there's also a free observation
- 25:52deck with a beautiful view of the Chao
- 25:54Phraya River. And today is the day to
- 26:05say goodbye to Bangkok, because from
- 26:07here we're heading to the beaches of
- 26:09Thailand; we're going to Krabi. It’s
- 26:12important to tell you that the transfer
- 26:14from the hotel to the airport is
- 26:16included in the Thailandiando package,
- 26:18as well as the flight from Bangkok to
- 26:20Krabi. So it's great because you don't
- 26:23need to pay attention to anything. They
- 26:26take care of everything, just send you
- 26:28the times, and it's awesome. The
- 26:30package is perfect for those who don't
- 26:33want to worry, just want to enjoy. Upon
- 26:41arriving at Krabi airport, they were
- 26:44already waiting for us with a sign. And
- 26:51I'll take this chance to give you a tip
- 26:53, because many travelers arrive at the
- 26:56airport and connect to the free Wi-Fi,
- 26:58not imagining the danger of connecting
- 27:00to a network of unknown origin. Think
- 27:04about how much important data you have
- 27:06on your phone or computer, like photos,
- 27:09documents, and passwords; all of it
- 27:11stays open without protection. That is
- 27:14why it is very important for you to use
- 27:16a VPN. NordVPN has cutting-edge
- 27:19encryption that makes your data
- 27:21unreadable to any hacker who might be
- 27:23watching. It has several cybersecurity

- 28:43And if you mention you saw it here, you
- 28:44even get a discount. And after relaxing
- 28:49in the hotel pool, we walked to the
- 28:51main beach to watch the sunset and take
- 28:54a nice dip in the sea. We decided to
- 29:05have dinner here, facing the ocean. Stm
- 29:15on the secrets whisperendo Arrive early
- 29:36to get a table with a good view of the
- 29:38show. And they even interact with the
- 29:54tourists. Look at my mom's face.
- 30:09And today we are going on one of the
- 30:10most famous tours that goes to Hong
- 30:12Island.
- 30:13Tailândiana picked us up at the hotel
- 30:15and took us to Hong Islands, an
- 30:17archipelago with beautiful islands. And
- 30:28the water temperature is delightful. It
- 30:31is very pleasant water. Once you get in
- 30:34the sea, you don't want to leave. On
- 30:38the boat, they provide masks which are
- 30:40already included in the tour. This way
- 30:43you can see a lot of little fish. Some
- 30:51Thai beaches have rocks. To avoid
- 30:54hurting your feet, it is highly
- 30:56advisable to enter the sea with caution
- 30:59or bring water shoes so you can be
- 31:01worry-free. Lunch is included in the
- 31:09tour. They set up a buffet on the beach
- 31:11and you can help yourself as much as
- 31:12you like. Then came one of the most
- 31:19exciting moments of the tour. The boat
- 31:23passes between rocky cliffs and you
- 31:25feel small before the grandeur of
- 31:27nature. two on the ground.
- 31:43And now we have reached the last stop
- 31:45of the tour, which for me, honestly,
- 31:47was the most beautiful of the day to
- 31:49close it out with a golden key. Look at
- 31:53the crystal-clear water and the scenery
- 31:55behind me, guys. It looks just like a
- 31:58painting, right? It's so beautiful.
- 32:15And for those who liked our swimsuits,
- 32:17they’re from Hype and there’s a
- 32:19discount! Take advantage. Just use the
- 32:23coupon "trip partiu" on the site to get
- 32:27a discount. And if you're up for it,
- 32:38you can tackle the stairs for a 360º
- 32:41view of the island. There are about 420
- 32:46steps, but look, the view from up here
- 32:50is worth it. After enjoying this
- 33:09surreal view, we took the boat back to
- 33:11our starting point. And hey, this tour
- 33:14also includes some snacks and drinks.
- 33:17Arriving in Krabi, we went to the Bambu
- 33:20Beach Club on our own. This beach club
- 33:23has a pool and looks gorgeous at sunset
- 33:25. At night, they have fire shows and
- 33:40traditional dances. Good morning, my
- 34:08loves. I'll show you what breakfast is
- 34:11like here at Chada Resort, the hotel
- 34:14where we're staying in Krabi.
- 34:32Remembering that this hotel is already
- 34:34included in our package. At breakfast,
- 34:37they even make omelets to order. It's a
- 34:39very complete buffet. Today we had the
- 34:45morning free and took the opportunity
- 34:47to go to Hong Beach, a beautiful beach
- 34:49about 15 minutes by boat from Ao Nang.
- 34:52It's very close and the trip is
- 34:54beautiful. Upon arrival, you'll come
- 35:08across a scene that looks like a
- 35:10Windows desktop background. So, mom,
- 35:19what did you think of this beach?
- 35:21Perfect. The water temperature is very
- 35:24good, very pleasant.
- 35:26And the sand.
- 35:27Super fine sand. Look, I even grabbed a
- 35:30little bit for you to see, look. We
- 35:32step on this little sand, it even gives
- 35:34you a foot massage. The center of Hong
- 35:42is also a cutie. We took the
- 35:44opportunity to have lunch around here.
- 35:46We're paying less than 20 reais for
- 35:48these little shrimps with these french
- 35:50fries. A little sauce here, look. Sweet
- 35:52. Delicious. I think it's very cheap.
- 36:06And in the afternoon, we decided to
- 36:08take an optional tour with Thai
- 36:09Landiana. This one isn't included in
- 36:12the package, but it's really worth it.
- 36:14With our coupon "trip", you get a
- 36:16discount. And on this tour, in total,
- 36:20we'll visit seven islands.
- 36:22Some of these islands we observe from
- 36:25the boat, others we get down on the
- 36:27sand for a swim. And we also went
- 36:29snorkeling to see the abundant marine
- 36:32life. Look at all these little fish.
- 36:50The color of the water is impressive.
- 37:00And now we've arrived at Poda Island,
- 37:02which has this big rock right in front,
- 37:04which is another island. This big rock
- 37:07we only see from afar. And here on Poda
- 37:11Island, we're going to have kind of a
- 37:12dinner that's already included in the
- 37:14tour. And the dinner is well-served.
- 37:17They even grilled shrimp on the beach
- 37:19for us. And we were lucky enough to
- 37:32watch an unforgettable sunset. That was
- 37:40certainly one of the most beautiful
- 37:42moments of the trip. And do you think
- 37:50it's over? No. At night, they even took
- 37:52us to see plankton in the sea. Since it
- 37:55was dark, I couldn't film it well for
- 37:57you, but it’s an experience worth
- 38:00having. And now the time has come to
- 38:11say goodbye to Krabi. From here, we're
- 38:14going to Phi Phi. To get to Phi Phi,
- 38:17Thailand's most famous island, the Thai
- 38:19agency picked us up with a transfer and
- 38:21took us to the spot where we caught a
- 38:23ferry. Don't worry, all of this
- 38:26logistics is already included in the
- 38:29package. Upon arriving on the island,
- 38:40you have to pay a small fee, but it's
- 38:41important to have cash, because they
- 38:43don't take cards. And you will be
- 38:50shocked by the view from our room here
- 38:52in Phi Phi. Come on. Come, I'll show
- 38:56you. Look at this, guys. There's an
- 39:07infinity pool and the beach right in
- 39:09front. And with a beach like this right
- 39:20in front, I’m not going to waste any
- 39:22time, right? Take me at the same time
- 39:30as a blink. Warm water. Very good. Look
- 39:48at this. Very crystal clear. Warm water
- 39:51. I have arrived in paradise. And today
- 40:17we're going to have lunch simply with
- 40:19this view. Look at this, my people. Of
- 40:28course, prices by the beach are always
- 40:30a little higher, but honestly, it
- 40:32surprised us quite a bit. And this
- 40:35beach is the trendiest in Phi Phi. Now
- 40:39you're going to be shocked. This whole
- 40:42fish we ordered in front of the sea
- 40:45costs 500 baht, which is worth
- 40:47approximately 80 reais. And now we sat
- 41:07at the Freedom Bar, which is one of the
- 41:09bars on the seaside. And look at this
- 41:11wonder, guys. Look at this view. Here
- 41:14you have a coconut.
- 41:16And here a little bucket.
- 41:18These alcoholic drink buckets are very
- 41:20famous here. My mom already got hers.
- 41:22Hold it here, see. It's heavy.
- 41:26These little buckets are the sensation
- 41:28of the island. The price varies
- 41:30according to the mix of drinks you put
- 41:32inside the bucket. They have everything
- 41:36you can imagine. At 7:30 at night, a
- 41:41fire show starts at the Freedom Bar. To
- 41:44watch the show is free. To sit in a
- 41:46chair, you just need to buy a drink.
- 42:10Later, they call tourists to
- 42:12participate, and of course, we joined
- 42:14in the fun. But it keeps getting harder
- 42:25and more exciting. Whoever manages to
- 42:28pass the challenge gets a complimentary
- 42:31drink.
- 42:40Some people even jump fire rope, can
- 42:42you believe it? There are parties here
- 42:55too, and they even play Michel Teló,
- 42:57can you believe it? Wow! And today we
- 43:15woke up early to go on the tour called
- 43:17Thai-nday. One more tour that we’re
- 43:20doing with Tailandiana. This one is
- 43:21very complete, it even has a
- 43:22Portuguese-speaking guide. The
- 43:24itinerary has several stops, but we
- 43:26started at Maya Bay to have the chance
- 43:29to see this beach while it’s still
- 43:31empty, because it gets crowded later on
- 43:33. And we arrived at Maya Bay, the most
- 43:42famous beach in Thailand. A fun fact is
- 43:44that there are these flags here that
- 43:47you can't go past. So, the most you can
- 43:50get your body wet is up to your ankles.
- 43:53This is just like people joke about
- 43:55online, it’s Leonardo DiCaprio's
- 43:57fault. Because Leonardo DiCaprio
- 44:00starred in a movie that was set here,
- 44:02and after that film, the beach got so
- 44:04crowded that the Thai government had to
- 44:06close it for recovery. In 2022, they
- 44:09reopened the beach, but with a series
- 44:12of rules. One of the rules is that you
- 44:14can’t go swimming. So, the most you
- 44:17can do here at Thailand’s most famous
- 44:18beach is get your heels wet. After a
- 44:22few years of conservation measures,
- 44:24it's now possible to see some baby
- 44:26sharks, because this beach is a nursery
- 44:28for the Blacktip Reef Shark species.
- 44:36So, do you remember seeing that movie
- 44:38with Leonardo DiCaprio? Well, it was
- 44:41filmed right here.
- 44:51And our second stop, this one is for
- 44:53swimming at Pileh Lagoon. One, two,
- 45:00three.
- 45:10And as soon as we got back to the
- 45:12speedboat, complimentary seasonal
- 45:14fruits and water were served. And soon
- 45:17we arrived at Viking Cave, famous for
- 45:19its cave paintings. So they found some
- 45:23drawings that proved the presence of
- 45:26pirates here. They would stop in this
- 45:29space to rest when the tide was very
- 45:32high.
- 45:33Having explanations in Portuguese on
- 45:35the other side of the world is just
- 45:37great. Our next stop was for snorkeling
- 45:40with the masks they lend out on the
- 45:42boat. And at this stop, we can see many
- 45:46little fish and even sharks. And now
- 46:11we’ve arrived at Monkey Beach. The
- 46:13famous monkey beach. Look at the color
- 46:16of the water, guys. Seriously, the
- 46:18color of the water is surreal. And
- 46:20about the monkeys, here's the deal: you
- 46:22can't feed them, you can't get too
- 46:24close, because they are just chilling.
- 46:27Out of nowhere, the guide said: look,
- 46:28out of nowhere, it only takes two
- 46:30seconds for them to take a dislike to
- 46:32you and jump on you. If they bite you,
- 46:34you have to get a bunch of shots.
- 46:35It’s not worth it. Treatment costs
- 46:37more than 1,000. So, always keep your
- 46:39distance so you don't have to use your
- 46:41travel insurance. We have our travel
- 46:42insurance from Cores, which you can
- 46:44even get a discount on by using the
- 46:45coupon Frip 20, but we aren't going to
- 46:47take any risks, right? Oh my God,
- 46:48he’s right behind me. So cute, but
- 46:51dangerous. And we continue our
- 46:58itinerary. Arriving at the bay, we can
- 47:01see the camel rock up close. Were you
- 47:04able to spot it? And our next stop is
- 47:09Bamboo Island. Guys, look at this. The
- 47:12Maldives are crying. The water here is
- 47:15surprising. And it's here on this beach
- 47:18that we're going to have lunch. Lunch
- 47:19is already included in the tour. The
- 47:22food is simple, but it's tasty. And
- 47:24eating with this view is out of this
- 47:26world. Around 3 in the afternoon, we
- 47:47returned to Phi Phi. We had some
- 47:49coconut ice cream, which you can find
- 47:51on every corner in Thailand, and it's
- 47:53delicious. And we decided to take a
- 47:56hike on our own up to the View Point to
- 47:58watch the sunset from above. But be
- 48:01prepared, because the trek is long.
- 48:04And an important warning is that there
- 48:06are very few signs along the way. So
- 48:07it's a good idea to put it into Google
- 48:09Maps and just follow it. That's exactly
- 48:11what we did. We’re using an
- 48:13international eSIM from Holafly, which
- 48:15gets internet wonderfully well, has
- 48:17unlimited mobile data, meaning you can
- 48:19use it as much as you want and the
- 48:21internet won't run out, and you also
- 48:23have a discount coupon, coupon "trip
- 48:25partiu," it works for anywhere in the
- 48:26world, okay? Now, enough chatting.
- 48:30I’m going to enjoy this view. Oh,
- 48:48don't forget to bring your repellent
- 48:50for this trail. There are quite a few
- 48:52mosquitoes in the late afternoon. And
- 48:54after the sunset was over, on the way
- 48:56down, I decided to stop by Viewpoint 2
- 48:58to see what it's like and show you guys
- 49:00. They also charge an entrance fee here
- 49:03of 50 baht per person, but honestly, I
- 49:06thought the structure here was nicer
- 49:09than the structure
- 49:12of Viewpoint 3. Look at this. And after
- 49:26this hike, we deserve it, right? We
- 49:29came to eat and ordered several
- 49:32appetizers. Chicken skewers, spring
- 49:35rolls, breaded shrimp. Delicious. Being
- 49:54in Phi Phi, you can't miss out on
- 49:56seeing Reggae Bar, where tourists fight
- 49:58each other. Entry is basically free.
- 50:03You just pay for a drink and you can
- 50:05get in. There's the drink menu for you
- 50:08to see the prices around here. The
- 50:12fights start at 9 at night and end at 1
- 50:14in the morning. But if you want a good
- 50:16spot to watch the fight, arrive early,
- 50:18because the bar gets packed. And look,
- 50:39some people take the fight seriously,
- 50:41it’s even a bit scary, but the
- 50:43rivalry stays inside the ring. The
- 50:46match ends, they hug, and everything is
- 50:48all good. There are no losers here;
- 50:51everyone who participates gets a
- 50:54souvenir medal and a bucket of drinks.
- 50:57So, tell me in the comments, would you
- 50:59take on a fight like this? And today,
- 51:14according to our itinerary, we have a
- 51:15free morning here in Phi Phi. We only
- 51:17have a tour with Tailândiana in the
- 51:19afternoon.
- 51:20So, we decided to go to Long Beach, a
- 51:22paradise beach. You can hike there for
- 51:26free or take a little boat and pay for
- 51:28the convenience. The important thing is
- 51:32that when you arrive, you’ll be face
- 51:33to face with a super peaceful paradise.
- 51:51On the way back, we decided to stop by
- 51:53Viking Beach, which was on the way, and
- 51:55took the opportunity to have lunch here
- 51:57. Guys, I am just so shocked by the
- 52:05prices. I ordered some noodles, see,
- 52:08for 200 baht, the shrimp option. I’d
- 52:13say this 200 baht is roughly 32 reais.
- 52:19I mean, 32 reais for shrimp noodles. I
- 52:22don't know how it will be served yet,
- 52:24but I thought it was very cheap. So,
- 52:27it's expensive to get here because the
- 52:29flight is long, but as soon as you
- 52:31arrive, the prices are surprising.
- 52:34I’m shocked. And look, these noodles
- 52:37were really tasty. It’s approved. And
- 52:49now we are heading back to the center.
- 52:51And I remembered to tell you something
- 52:53really touching. Do you see this tree
- 52:56behind me? Notice how it has several
- 52:59pieces of fabric around it. This is a
- 53:04form of gratitude from the local people
- 53:06, because many people, when the tsunami
- 53:08happened, held onto this tree. It
- 53:12actually makes me emotional; they held
- 53:14onto this tree and because of that,
- 53:16they managed to survive. So, as a form
- 53:19of thanks, there are several cloths
- 53:22tied here to this tree. Very beautiful,
- 53:25right? The tsunami happened in 2004 in
- 53:28several countries bordering the Indian
- 53:31Ocean. Walking around the center of Phi
- 53:33Phi, you will see several trees like
- 53:35this one. Now you know what it means.
- 53:38Nowadays there is equipment in the
- 53:41oceans that allows for early warnings,
- 53:43so it’s not something to worry about.
- 53:50In the afternoon, we are going to take
- 53:52a private long-tail boat tour, complete
- 53:54with fruit.
- 53:57Long-tail is what this traditional Thai
- 53:59boat is called. And our first stop is
- 54:19Monkey Beach. And here I was shocked.
- 54:24Can you believe he stole the boy's
- 54:26water and even drank it straight from
- 54:28the bottle? Yeah, those little monkeys
- 54:32are no joke, but it's worth coming here
- 54:34because the water color is fantastic.
- 54:44Since this is a private tour, you can
- 54:46choose the itinerary and decide how
- 54:48long you want to stay at each stop.
- 54:59After several stops and enchanting
- 55:02scenery, we ended the tour watching a
- 55:04beautiful sunset from the sea. And now
- 55:24we're heading to the Phi Phi pier,
- 55:26because from here we're going to Phuket
- 55:29to continue our itinerary. There are no
- 55:32cars on the island of Phi Phi, so
- 55:34everything is on foot or by boat—
- 55:35rustic chic, just how we love it. At
- 55:38the Phi Phi port, Tailandiano had
- 55:40already organized all the ferry
- 55:42logistics to take us to Phuket. And
- 55:46upon arriving in Phuket, there was
- 55:47already a transfer waiting to take us
- 55:49to the hotel. Now, I'll show you what
- 55:52our room here in Phuket is like. We
- 55:55were even welcomed with a fruit basket
- 55:57and a welcome message on the beds. The
- 56:08room is very comfortable and this hotel
- 56:11even has a rooftop pool. The location
- 56:14is great, about a 15-minute walk from
- 56:17the main beach. It's different from Phi
- 56:26Phi, because it already has that big
- 56:28city atmosphere and infrastructure. And
- 56:35we came right away to have lunch facing
- 56:37the sea. And these were our orders, two
- 56:46typical dishes, because since we're in
- 56:48Thailand, we have to allow ourselves to
- 56:51try the local cuisine. And from this
- 56:58beach, you have the chance to watch the
- 57:00sunset from the water. Delicious. And
- 57:14here you can book jet ski rides and
- 57:16even a trip through the air. So, would
- 57:19you have the courage? And very close to
- 57:34our hotel is Bangla Road, which is the
- 57:37most famous and chaotic street in
- 57:40Phuket. And I mean really chaotic.
- 57:45You'll see everything from lively bars
- 57:47to strip clubs. Good morning, my loves.
- 58:13Today we're going on a tour that leaves
- 58:15very early. Around 6:00 or 6:30,
- 58:17they'll pick us up at the hotel.
- 58:20Although tiring, this was one of our
- 58:22favorite tours. Breakfast is included
- 58:26at the base, and they lend you a bag
- 58:28with various gear to use at the beach.
- 58:41To get there, counting the land portion
- 58:44plus the sea portion, it takes about 3
- 58:47hours, but it's worth it. Look at the
- 58:51color of this water. To be honest,
- 58:53forget the Maldives; this is just as
- 58:56beautiful.
- 59:13It's surreal. Look at this. Very
- 59:16crystal clear. Throughout the day, the
- 59:29speedboat makes several stops with the
- 59:31group for snorkeling. My mom and I were
- 59:34enchanted by the beauty of the corals
- 59:36and fish in this region.
- 59:38I loved it. I had never seen such
- 59:40beautiful corals. And the next stop on
- 1:00:00the tour is for lunch. Remembering that
- 1:00:03lunch is already included. After you
- 1:00:05have lunch, there’s free time to
- 1:00:06enjoy the sea. So, let's go. At lunch,
- 1:00:09you can serve yourself as much as you
- 1:00:11want and go back for seconds. This
- 1:00:24beach is one of the most beautiful I've
- 1:00:26ever seen in my life. And the water is
- 1:00:28so crystal clear you can even see what
- 1:00:30you don’t want to. There were several
- 1:00:33baby sharks in the shallows, but don't
- 1:00:35worry, they are completely harmless.
- 1:00:53And the guide even offered a mermaid
- 1:00:55tail for photos. After the speedboat
- 1:01:03tour finished, they even served an
- 1:01:05afternoon snack before hitting the road
- 1:01:07. Pack it up. It's a complete full-day
- 1:01:11tour. They drop you off right at your
- 1:01:13hotel door. But since the night is
- 1:01:16still young, we decided to go out and
- 1:01:18have some fun.
- 1:01:19And at night, we came to watch the fire
- 1:01:22show at Patong beach. One of the most
- 1:01:25famous restaurants that organizes this
- 1:01:28fire show is Quima, exactly where we
- 1:01:31are now. And look at that, my mom
- 1:01:46actually had the courage to stand in
- 1:01:48the middle of the fire too? This is a
- 1:02:03free day in the package for anyone who
- 1:02:05wants to rest. But if you want to tour,
- 1:02:09a good optional trip is James Bond,
- 1:02:12which goes to the beach where the
- 1:02:14iconic movie The Man with the Golden
- 1:02:17Gun was filmed.
- 1:02:30Here, you'll feel like you're in a
- 1:02:32movie. Tell the truth, Globo is missing
- 1:02:35out on these two actresses. And this
- 1:02:46tour is very complete. Besides this
- 1:02:48beach, we visited several surrounding
- 1:02:51attractions. For me, one of the most
- 1:02:54exciting parts was the kayak tour
- 1:02:56through the rocks. And now the moment
- 1:02:59has come to lie down, because we’re
- 1:03:01going through the cave. Let's go. And
- 1:03:13suddenly you come out of the cave, look
- 1:03:15up, and a heart is formed. Nature is
- 1:03:20truly spectacular. I’ve never seen
- 1:03:24anything like it. Very beautiful. And
- 1:03:33our next stop is for lunch. Lunch is
- 1:03:35already included in the tour. It’s an
- 1:03:37all-you-can-eat buffet. And after
- 1:03:46filling our bellies, we walked around a
- 1:03:48tiny little fishing village that sells
- 1:03:51pearl accessories. And to wrap it up,
- 1:03:58we enjoyed one more beach. Make the
- 1:04:01most of it, as this is the last beach
- 1:04:03of this trip in Thailand. And today we
- 1:04:16woke up bright and early because
- 1:04:18we’re catching a plane to Chiang Mai.
- 1:04:21The good thing about booking the
- 1:04:22package with Tailandiando is that they
- 1:04:24organize everything. So the transfer
- 1:04:28that picked us up at the hotel and
- 1:04:30brought us here, the flight, and the
- 1:04:32transfer once we arrive in Chiang Mai
- 1:04:35to take us to our hotel there, is also
- 1:04:37all included in the package. So we just
- 1:04:41have to go, there’s no need to worry
- 1:04:43about anything. There’s even an app
- 1:04:46that shows your day-to-day schedule so
- 1:04:48you don't get lost. They also create a
- 1:04:51WhatsApp group for those who book the
- 1:04:54package and send the daily schedule
- 1:04:56there. So it’s very easy; you just
- 1:04:59worry about enjoying yourself, and they
- 1:05:01take care of all the paperwork. Now
- 1:05:04we’re already waiting for our flight,
- 1:05:06and we’ll be in Chiang Mai in a
- 1:05:08little bit. You can also scan this QR
- 1:05:11code to talk to them and ask for a
- 1:05:13personalized itinerary based on your
- 1:05:15tastes. And upon arriving in Chiang Mai
- 1:05:23, they took us straight to our hotel in
- 1:05:25the city. And we’re already starting
- 1:05:37our itinerary here in Chiang Mai,
- 1:05:39visiting the city's temples. And this
- 1:05:49tour of the Chiang Mai temples is done
- 1:05:52with a guide. The tickets and the guide
- 1:05:54are also included in the agency’s
- 1:05:57package. Our next stop is the Silver
- 1:06:09Temple, which is a temple completely
- 1:06:11covered in silver. Unfortunately, I
- 1:06:15won't be able to show you the inside
- 1:06:17because it’s a temple exclusive to
- 1:06:19monks and men. Women are not allowed to
- 1:06:23enter. This prohibition is due to an
- 1:06:26old-fashioned belief that women are
- 1:06:28impure, but this restriction only
- 1:06:30applies to this silver hall. In all the
- 1:06:33other areas, women are welcome. And
- 1:06:46when I said I was from Brazil, the
- 1:06:49guide was so happy. Samba. Yes. Brazil
- 1:06:55samba.
- 1:06:58Football.
- 1:07:06Thank you. Khop khun.
- 1:07:09And I’ll take this chance to tell you
- 1:07:11some important words in Thai. The local
- 1:07:14language. Khop khun ka. Thank you (
- 1:07:16female). Khop khun krab. Thank you (
- 1:07:18male). Sawasdee ka and Sawasdee krab
- 1:07:21are the most common greetings. Of
- 1:07:24course, many locals speak English, but
- 1:07:26not everyone. So, it’s important to
- 1:07:30have Google Translate installed if you
- 1:07:32need to communicate. And now we’ve
- 1:07:35come to see how traditional Thai
- 1:07:37umbrellas are made.
- 1:07:39In this space, you can learn the whole
- 1:07:42step-by-step production process. And
- 1:08:02lastly, we came to the Wat Phra That
- 1:08:04Doi Suthep temple. To get there, you
- 1:08:08can tackle a staircase of over 300
- 1:08:10steps or take a funicular effortlessly,
- 1:08:13like we did. And the guide explained
- 1:08:31that around the pagoda here, it’s a
- 1:08:35custom to walk around three times,
- 1:08:38focusing on the wish you want to come
- 1:08:41true. And so he bought this flower and
- 1:08:46this candle for us to follow the whole
- 1:08:48ritual. And today we’re going to take
- 1:09:06a day trip from Chiang Mai to Chiang
- 1:09:08Rai. It’s approximately 3 hours away
- 1:09:12from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai. The
- 1:09:15Tailandiano transport picked us up at
- 1:09:17the hotel door and headed out on the
- 1:09:20road. But on the way, before arriving
- 1:09:24in Chiang Mai, we stop to visit the Hot
- 1:09:27Springs, which is like a thermal water
- 1:09:29spa. You can soak your feet in the
- 1:09:33water and relax. To give you an idea,
- 1:09:37there are spots where the water is so
- 1:09:39hot it steams, and they even boil eggs
- 1:09:41in it. Can you believe it? And now
- 1:09:48we've arrived at the White Temple, the
- 1:09:51most famous attraction in Chiang Mai.
- 1:09:53Here, visitors are invited to reflect.
- 1:09:57Right at the entrance, we pass by these
- 1:09:59scary hands emerging from the ground,
- 1:10:01calling for help. They represent hell,
- 1:10:05people who succumbed to worldly desires
- 1:10:08. But those who manage to pass without
- 1:10:12giving in to temptations are led to
- 1:10:14paradise, to meet Buddha. And a fun
- 1:10:20fact is that the temple is all white,
- 1:10:22because white is the color of purity.
- 1:10:25And there are also some mirrors. Look,
- 1:10:28these mirrors represent the reflection
- 1:10:30of Buddha's wisdom. Look how the sun
- 1:10:36hits this mirror and it looks amazing,
- 1:10:39guys. It’s all carved like this,
- 1:10:43completely. It even looks like lace.
- 1:10:46It’s very beautiful. Just a reminder
- 1:11:17that tickets and lunch are included in
- 1:11:19this tour with the agency. Next stop,
- 1:11:27the Blue Temple. Blue in Buddhism is
- 1:11:30considered the color of serenity and
- 1:11:32tranquility. Regardless of religion, it
- 1:11:35is definitely worth visiting. The
- 1:11:37temples are true works of art. And here
- 1:11:55at the Blue Temple, there's a coconut
- 1:11:57ice cream that is super famous. Just
- 1:11:59ask your guide and they'll tell you
- 1:12:01which one it is. A curiosity is that
- 1:12:04many things are blue. See? The blue
- 1:12:07rice, the little blue ice cream. This
- 1:12:09is a natural coloring they use here.
- 1:12:13Hmm. And our last stop in Chiang Mai is
- 1:12:21the Red Temple. Red in Buddhism
- 1:12:25signifies strength and spiritual energy
- 1:12:28. It’s called the Red Temple because
- 1:12:31of the red tiles on this nine-story
- 1:12:34pagoda. Here you also find the 76-meter
- 1:12:45statue of the Goddess of Mercy. Notice
- 1:12:49this circle right in the middle of her
- 1:12:51forehead. It’s an observation deck
- 1:12:53with a view of the whole region. And
- 1:12:56this that you're seeing is the view we
- 1:12:59have when we go up the elevator inside
- 1:13:02the Goddess of Mercy. And from the
- 1:13:05goddess's eyes, we also have a very
- 1:13:07beautiful view. And as soon as our tour
- 1:13:17ended, we asked the guide to drop us
- 1:13:19off at the Sunday Market, which is a
- 1:13:21night market that happens every Sunday
- 1:13:24here in Chiang Mai.
- 1:13:25And the prices here are very cheap.
- 1:13:29It’s a great place to try the local
- 1:13:31cuisine for little money and buy travel
- 1:13:33souvenirs at a very reduced price. At
- 1:13:53least once on the trip, you have to get
- 1:13:55a one-hour Thai massage to enjoy
- 1:13:57yourself. Thai massage is world-famous
- 1:14:01for combining pressure and stretching.
- 1:14:05Look at that, the masseuse folded my
- 1:14:07mom in half. It’s a bit painful, but
- 1:14:11you feel extremely relaxed when it’s
- 1:14:14over. The last day of the itinerary is
- 1:14:31free, but an excellent suggestion is,
- 1:14:33after having a hearty breakfast, head
- 1:14:35out for one of the cutest tours of the
- 1:14:38trip. And while in Chiang Mai, you can
- 1:14:43visit an elephant sanctuary. However,
- 1:14:46one thing you need to watch out for is
- 1:14:49that there are many fake sanctuaries
- 1:14:51that claim they are rescuing the animal
- 1:14:53and helping, but in reality, they take
- 1:14:55them from exploitation in a circus, for
- 1:14:58example, and put them into tourist
- 1:15:00exploitation. In this sanctuary we went
- 1:15:04to, the elephants are free and tourists
- 1:15:06cannot touch the animal, only the
- 1:15:08caretakers. So, unlike other
- 1:15:11sanctuaries where the elephant has to
- 1:15:13stay in the river all day for people to
- 1:15:15bathe it, the elephant has to stay in
- 1:15:17the same spot all day for people to
- 1:15:18take photos. Not here. We are the ones
- 1:15:21approaching the elephants. If one gets
- 1:15:24too close to you, you gradually move
- 1:15:26away. Not because they are aggressive,
- 1:15:29not because of that, but because we
- 1:15:31don't want direct interaction to avoid
- 1:15:33stressing the animal, because it was
- 1:15:34removed from mistreatment to have a
- 1:15:36better life.
- 1:15:38How can you not give in to such
- 1:15:40cuteness? And every elephant has a
- 1:15:52story. For example, the one with the
- 1:15:55broken leg, it used to work carrying
- 1:15:58logs and its leg broke. The owner kept
- 1:16:03making it work until exhaustion, until
- 1:16:05that problem became a huge problem. And
- 1:16:10that's how they rescue these animals
- 1:16:12here, they buy these animals. It’s a
- 1:16:16very difficult negotiation and this
- 1:16:18money comes from donations and visits
- 1:16:20from people who come here. Here we
- 1:16:24learned about their diet, the
- 1:16:26difference between the African and
- 1:16:28Asian elephant, and we also saw in
- 1:16:30practice the daily habits of these huge
- 1:16:33animals. And now we are going to have
- 1:16:49lunch. Lunch is also included in this
- 1:16:52tour. And look at the view we are
- 1:16:54having lunch with, guys. There happens
- 1:17:00to be an elephant over there, but
- 1:17:01earlier we had one right here, see, up
- 1:17:03close. If you go during the Songkran
- 1:17:14period, from April 13th to 15th, you
- 1:17:17can take part in the Thai New Year. In
- 1:17:19Chiang Mai, they hold several parades.
- 1:17:41Unlike Brazil, they celebrate the New
- 1:17:43Year here in April and follow the lunar
- 1:17:45calendar. So, while we are in 2026,
- 1:17:48they are already celebrating the year
- 1:17:512569.
- 1:17:54Happy New Year! And they celebrate by
- 1:17:58splashing water on each other, because
- 1:18:01water is seen as a purifying element.
- 1:18:04So, throwing water on someone else
- 1:18:06means you wish them prosperity in their
- 1:18:08life. You are cleansing bad energy to
- 1:18:11start the new year feeling renewed. I
- 1:18:29must confess, this was one of the most
- 1:18:32fun parts of the trip. We felt just
- 1:18:35like kids playing in the street. And on
- 1:18:42our last day in Chiang Mai, our
- 1:18:44transfer took us to the airport. The
- 1:18:47plane ticket to Bangkok is also
- 1:18:49included in the agency's package. Now,
- 1:18:56let's talk about what everyone wants to
- 1:18:58know. How much does the full package
- 1:19:01cost? There are 7-day packages in
- 1:19:03Thailand starting at around 9,000 Reais
- 1:19:06. If you have more days available, it's
- 1:19:10worth getting the 10-day package, which
- 1:19:12costs from approximately 12,000 Reais.
- 1:19:17For the 12-day package, you can find
- 1:19:18options starting from around 16,000
- 1:19:20Reais. Now, for the 15-day package,
- 1:19:25which is what we showed you in this
- 1:19:27video, it costs from approximately
- 1:19:2918,000 Reais. Remember that you can pay
- 1:19:34by credit card, Pix, and even in
- 1:19:36installments. The package includes
- 1:19:42tours, except for optional ones,
- 1:19:44accommodation with breakfast, travel
- 1:19:47between destinations, lunch on some
- 1:19:49tours, entrance fees for national parks
- 1:19:52, and support in Portuguese throughout
- 1:19:55the trip. If you dream of visiting
- 1:19:59Thailand, I highly recommend doing it
- 1:20:02with experts on the destination. Before
- 1:20:06the trip, they have a video call to put
- 1:20:08your mind at ease and provide all the
- 1:20:10information. And during your days in
- 1:20:13the country, they provide assistance
- 1:20:15practically 24 hours a day. It’s
- 1:20:17phenomenal support.
- 1:20:19And besides full packages, Tailandiando
- 1:20:21also sells individual tours. So, let's
- 1:20:24say you've already booked your hotels
- 1:20:27and internal flights, and you just want
- 1:20:29the tours. Tailandiando sells them too,
- 1:20:32and you can also use our coupon "tripu"
- 1:20:35.
- 1:20:36And before this video ends, let me
- 1:20:38share a few more important tips.
- 1:20:41Thailand uses various types of power
- 1:20:43outlets. Some even fit the Brazilian
- 1:20:46plug, but it is highly recommended to
- 1:20:48bring a universal travel adapter.
- 1:20:52During the trip, you will likely make
- 1:20:54withdrawals at ATMs to get cash using
- 1:20:56your card. Be aware that they charge a
- 1:21:00high fixed fee for each withdrawal,
- 1:21:02usually 250 Baht. So it is worth
- 1:21:04withdrawing larger amounts at once. And
- 1:21:07you can use the Nomad card in over 180
- 1:21:09countries. When you open your account,
- 1:21:12use our coupon that I'll leave right
- 1:21:14here, so that on your first transaction
- 1:21:16you get a series of benefits. Enjoy it.
- 1:21:19And importantly, never point the soles
- 1:21:21of your feet at images of Buddha. That
- 1:21:24is considered disrespectful. And if you
- 1:21:27are a woman, do not touch or sit near
- 1:21:30monks. It is forbidden. Be careful not
- 1:21:33to fall for the Tuk-Tuk or taxi scams.
- 1:21:36Always agree on the price beforehand or
- 1:21:39ask them to turn on the meter. The Uber
- 1:21:42app doesn't work in Thailand, but you
- 1:21:44can download the Grab app, which is
- 1:21:46almost the same and works very well. A
- 1:21:50fun fact is that they drive on the left
- 1:21:52here, with the steering wheel on the
- 1:21:53right, even though Thailand is the only
- 1:21:55country in Southeast Asia that was
- 1:21:57never colonized. Do not drink tap water
- 1:22:01. Ideally, you should even avoid ice
- 1:22:03and raw street food to avoid getting an
- 1:22:05upset stomach. But honestly, it’s
- 1:22:08almost impossible to resist those
- 1:22:10ice-cold fruit smoothies they make on
- 1:22:13every corner. If you make purchases
- 1:22:19over 2000 baht in Thailand, know that
- 1:22:22you can ask for a tax refund as a
- 1:22:24tourist, meaning you get part of the
- 1:22:27money back. As I showed during the
- 1:22:31video, the attire to enter temples
- 1:22:33needs to be more modest. However, on
- 1:22:36the street, in day-to-day life, they
- 1:22:38are quite liberal, so bring light and
- 1:22:40comfortable clothes. Regarding the time
- 1:22:43zone, Thailand is 10 hours ahead of
- 1:22:46Brasília time. In other words, while
- 1:22:49it's 8:00 AM in Brazil, in Thailand
- 1:22:51it's already 6:00 PM. As soon as you
- 1:22:54arrive you will feel the change, but
- 1:22:56sleep well the first few days and your
- 1:22:58body will soon adjust. Thailand is a
- 1:23:01very safe country, yes, but it is
- 1:23:03always good to keep an eye on your
- 1:23:04belongings, just like anywhere else in
- 1:23:06the world. And finally, 7-Eleven will
- 1:23:10be your best friend on this trip. You
- 1:23:13can buy snacks for less than 5 reais.
- 1:23:16And, look, this 3-real chocolate
- 1:23:18cupcake is delicious. Be sure to try it
- 1:23:21. By watching the complete Thailand
- 1:23:26video series, which I will list right
- 1:23:28here, you will see even more details
- 1:23:30and important tips. So make sure to
- 1:23:33binge-watch it. I hope with all my
- 1:23:37heart that you liked the video and that
- 1:23:39the tips were useful for your trip. If
- 1:23:42you liked it, don't forget, take a
- 1:23:44moment to subscribe to the channel, hit
- 1:23:46the notification bell, leave a like,
- 1:23:48and share it with all your friends.
- 1:23:51Remembering that all the important
- 1:23:52links for this trip are right here in
- 1:23:54the video description. Kisses and see
- 1:23:57you next time. So, are we heading out?
- 1:24:00Yeah.
