4. 0:06going to present my one-time solution to
5. 0:08all your Wi-Fi problems. That is signal
6. 0:10search. So, have you ever experienced
7. 0:12poor Wi-Fi network during an online
8. 0:13class or a file download freezing doing
9. 0:15some important work? In a world that is
10. 0:17increasingly reliant on digital access,
11. 0:19why should we struggle with unreliable
12. 0:21internet? So, here comes my solution,
13. 0:23which is Signal Search. It is an
14. 0:25innovative and educational DIY parabolic
15. 0:27reflector kit which can boost your
16. 0:29existing Wi-Fi signal by simply
17. 0:31directing and concentrating the radio
18. 0:32waves for a more stronger signal. I've
19. 0:34[snorts] used readily available reusable
20. 0:36and eco-friendly materials like
21. 0:38aluminium foil and cardboard. So this is
22. 0:40the prototype that I have prepared and
23. 0:42the design as well as the assembly for
24. 0:43this was very simple. So signal search
25. 0:46is based on the concept of parabolic
26. 0:48reflectors and a parabola is basically a
27. 0:50mathematical curve which is known for a
28. 0:52special unique reflective property. I
29. 0:54also conducted a test to understand
30. 0:56whether my product is efficient or not.
31. 0:57And I found out that at a distance of 3
32. 0:59meter, there was an initial reading of -
33. 1:0143 dBm. But after applying signal
34. 1:03search, I got a reading of -16 dBm,
35. 1:06which is a 27 dBm improvement in Wi-Fi
36. 1:09signal strength. And similarly, at a
37. 1:11distance of 1 m, there was an 18 dBm
38. 1:13improvement in Wi-Fi signal strength.
39. 1:16Additionally, I also conducted a survey
40. 1:18and I found out that a majority of
41. 1:19people face poor Wi-Fi reception and
42. 1:21they also believe that parabolic
43. 1:23reflectors are an effective solution.
44. 1:25Signal search has also received a
45. 1:26copyright certificate from the
46. 1:28government of India and additionally it
47. 1:30has also been selected as a finalist for
48. 1:31the Eureka junior competition by IIT
49. 1:34Bombay. For the future, I aim to pilot
50. 1:36and refine by conducting workshops and
51. 1:38also by converting signal surge into a
52. 1:40DIY kit design. Additionally, for the
53. 1:42broad scale impact, I aim to partner
54. 1:44with NOS's and ISPs and also think about
55. 1:47more kit options. So, thank you. Let's
