2. 0:02Ginsburg set out on an adventure in the
3. 0:04Amazon little did he know it would
4. 0:06almost cost him his life when he was
5. 0:08separated from his three companions Yosi
6. 0:11spent three weeks alone in the Amazon
7. 0:14the densest terrain on Earth with no
8. 0:16supplies no survival skills and no one
9. 0:18to help him it was the 15th day of my
10. 0:21solitude I couldn't start a fire there
11. 0:24was no sun to dry and no food and the
12. 0:27rain and wet yet somehow he survived and
13. 0:31his story has inspired so many people
14. 0:33it's set to become a big motion picture
15. 0:36with Yosi being played by none other
16. 0:38than Harry Potter's Daniel
17. 0:40[Music]
18. 0:47redcliffe wow the film is set for
19. 0:49release in August and is very close to
20. 0:51yosi's heart as you can imagine while
21. 0:53rescue finally came for him two of his
22. 0:55friends were never seen again this is an
23. 0:59incredible story Yosi Ginsburg live in
24. 1:01the studio good morning welcome to the
25. 1:02show uh what A Story of Survival what is
26. 1:05it possible to explain to us who all of
27. 1:07us who will never understand what that's
28. 1:08like what it was
29. 1:10like I I would say it is because what
30. 1:13you learn in a real survival situations
31. 1:16that actually you can cope with it
32. 1:18because there is no choice you know cuz
33. 1:20in your head when you're saying oh I'll
34. 1:22never survive but in a real survival
35. 1:24situation you don't have a choice so
36. 1:26it's a huge Awakening because life is so
37. 1:29precious that in real situation will
38. 1:31defend life and you know people turn in
39. 1:34in real survival situation people turn
40. 1:36into superheroes I'm not I I mean it
41. 1:39literally you see mothers that a kid
42. 1:42fall falls under a truck a mother will
43. 1:44lift a truck because survival gives you
44. 1:47that power so it gives you the physical
45. 1:49power the mental power the spiritual
46. 1:51power and so how did you how did you do
47. 1:55it what was more difficult the physical
48. 1:57or the mental without theal mental
49. 2:00there's no physical so the mental has to
50. 2:02be but what I say is like the mental and
51. 2:04physical are being called by the
52. 2:06situation and surprisingly they're there
53. 2:09you know we don't trust yourself
54. 2:11ourselves but in a real situation
55. 2:13actually we're there so there wasn't
56. 2:15Awakening first of all it's a process of
57. 2:17self-discovery because I never thought I
58. 2:19actually can cope with it but there was
59. 2:20nobody else so I needed to cope with it
60. 2:23but literally you know it's like walking
61. 2:25down river CU that's the only guide and
62. 2:27looking for food during the day which
63. 2:29were usually a couple of eggs that I Rob
64. 2:32out of nests and at night making a
65. 2:33shelter between the roots of a tree
66. 2:35covering myself with leaves no fire no
67. 2:38gun no knife rain rainy season you know
68. 2:41it was um how did you know how to
69. 2:43survive how did you know to do
70. 2:45that I didn't you know like I I mean I
71. 2:48have been in that jungle for a month
72. 2:51already with three of my friends okay
73. 2:54but it was different we had a guide we
74. 2:56had a gun we hunted we had a machete
75. 2:59which is the most basic survival tool we
76. 3:02had fire so it was totally different
77. 3:04when I was alone with no gun with no
78. 3:06fire with no masch so but you don't need
79. 3:09to learn much in order to Rob eggs out
80. 3:12of Nest when you're starving you will
81. 3:13eat anything and you know so so you
82. 3:15learn very quickly and there were no
83. 3:18tools so I had just to use my hands
84. 3:20there's a lot of you know like adversity
85. 3:24coming my way it's a very dense place
86. 3:25there's lots of animals it was a very
87. 3:28rough rainy season
88. 3:30and I was inflicted with disease with
89. 3:32injuries and but how were you finally
90. 3:36rescued how how did that happened we
91. 3:39were four two were disappeared forever
92. 3:41not seen again one that I lost in the
93. 3:44river was found by indigenous people he
94. 3:47he was saved yeah and he insisted on
95. 3:49coming back with the indigenous people
96. 3:52that saved him and they found me in a
97. 3:55miraculous way it's too I mean you have
98. 3:57to get into the details to really
99. 3:59understand it was Miracle just to find
100. 4:01me in in in in this uh it's incredible
101. 4:03story we're going to know all about this
102. 4:05after we see the movie tell us about the
103. 4:06movie and what that means to you well
104. 4:08you know it's first of all it's a huge
105. 4:10privilege you know that it turned into a
106. 4:12movie for me it means a lot because the
107. 4:14story is an effect of other people life
108. 4:16not everybody has to go through the
109. 4:18story but vicariously they can learn
110. 4:20from my experience and it's been an
111. 4:21inspiration for thousands of people all
112. 4:24over the world and I hope the the movie
113. 4:25The my main hope for the movie is that
114. 4:27it will inspire people and and Empower
115. 4:30people and also I have an agenda which
116. 4:32is the Amazon forest and the indigenous
117. 4:34people of the Amazon forest so I hope
118. 4:36it's going to do good for that as well
119. 4:38and Daniel redcliffe gets to play you
120. 4:40physically you're very different but you
121. 4:42say he brings a an enormous Spirit yeah
122. 4:45when he saw me the first time he was
123. 4:47like taking a b but um you know is is
124. 4:51short is not small you know he's a big
125. 4:54man he's just short so as an actor is is
126. 4:57Big spirit and a lot of courage and um
127. 5:01and I really appreciate it and it's a
128. 5:03huge privilege to to be represented by
129. 5:06him you cannot wait to see this movie
130. 5:07and next time I steal your pad tie from
131. 5:08the communal kitchen here don't get
132. 5:10upset it's survival survival survival
133. 5:12trying to get through the day does the
134. 5:13movie have a working title at no the
135. 5:15title is jungle just jungle J okay it's
136. 5:18out August we can't wait to see it thank
